Vote for the guy who promises
“a higher minimum wage, a ban on the replacement of striking workers, seven days of paid sick leave, a more diverse media ownership structure, renegotiation of NAFTA, letting bankruptcy judges write down mortgage debt, a ban on illegal wiretaps, an end to national security letters, stopping the war on whistle-blowers, passing the Employee Free Choice Act, restoring habeas corpus, and labor protections in the FAA bill.”

Oh wait, if you voted for obama in 2008, you already did. But of course obama not only did NONE of these things, he even doubled down on several of Bush’s policies. OOps! From an article by progressive democrat Matt Stoller on why liberals should NOT vote for obama in 2012.

Remember liberal women, obama is the guy who ” insisted that women under 17 shouldn’t have access to Plan B birth control, overruling scientists at the FDA, because of his position ”as a father of two daughters.” Girls, he said, shouldn’t be able to buy these drugs next to “bubble gum and batteries.” Aside from the obvious sexism, he left out the possibility that young women who need Plan B had been raped by their fathers, which anyone who works in the field knows happens all too often.”

I’m voting against obama and his ilk every time — until true, modern, liberal values are restored to the Democratic party. Every time you reward a bully and a liar by not standing up to him, he will hit you again. As Stoller says, “Systems that can’t go on, don’t. The political elites, as much as they kick the can down the road, know this. The question we need to ask ourselves is, do we?”

Riverdaughter has a long post that is well worth the read on how Lily Ledbetter may as well be an interior design firm specializing in window treatments:

“Lilly Ledbetter does not put the law on womens’ side after all. It’s very limited and you’d have to be nuts to risk your job to put it to use. Employers have nothing to fear. Just ask the thousands of Walmart female employees who have been protesting gender inequality for years and lost another case as recently as yesterday. There was another more important bill on paycheck fairness that never passed and as far as I know, Obama’s attitude was “meh”. The bill failed to pass the Senate this past June. Please note that the Democrats are in the majority in the Senate and even though they no longer have a filibuster proof majority like they did in 2009-2010 when passing the Paycheck Fairness act would have been easier, they still have enough votes to make obstructing it very painful for the Republicans. The Democrats didn’t do it and I can’t remember Obama marching down to Capital Hill to make life difficult for anyone who didn’t get onboard. Wake me when Obama puts as much energy into that as preserving a banker’s bonus. “

The election this year really is about the economy, not big bird and not binders (though it IS also about Benghazi and where Bucks stop). Bad news for obama: CNN just informed me that new jobless claims SOARED last week.

Women are half the workers in this country. We are MORE than half the voters. We WILL decide this election. Bye-bye obama.

Girls beat up Iran cleric over dress code
By Ben Brumfield and Shirzad Bozorgmehr

Tehran, Iran (CNN) — They may be a far cry from their Western counterparts fighting for the acceptance to breast-feed — or go topless — in public, but two girls clobbered a cleric recently in a small town in Iran when he admonished one of them to cover herself more completely.
The cleric said he asked “politely,” but the girl’s angry reaction and some pugilistic double-teaming with her friend landed the holy man in the hospital, according to an account Monday in the semiofficial Mehr News Agency.
Hojatoleslam Ali Beheshti said he encountered the girls on his way to the mosque in the village of Shahmirzad for noon prayers in late August.
Women’s bodies: The public perception of private parts
He told one of the girls to cover up, the report said.
“She responded by telling me to cover my eyes, which was very insulting to me,” Beheshti said. So he asked her a second time to cover up and also to put a lid on what he felt was verbal abuse.
She hit the man of the cloth, and he hit the ground.
“I don’t remember what happened after that,” he said. “I just felt her kicks and heard her insults.”
Beheshti, who emerged from the infirmary three days later, said he did not file a complaint against the girls.
But he doesn’t mind the local prosecutor’s investigation into the matter either “as long as the case helps the cause of Islamic hijab.”
The girls may have put the “jab” into “hijab,” but fighting with morality police or private individuals telling women to cover up is rare in small towns. It’s more common in larger cities, where women are more likely to take a stand.

Michigan Wimminz Lawmakers Brown & Byrum silenced for saying “vagina” and attempting to regulate vasectomies.
June 15, 2012 by Uppity Woman

Do you remember when Florida State Rep Scott Randolph (D-Uterus) said the obscene word “Uterus” in front of all of Florida’s God and Vagina-Fearing Republicans, and all hell broke lose when the leadership declared that this was an inappropriate and obscene word to say on the floor in front of young pages and visiting children? If you don’t remember that, then read That filthy, disgusting and obscene U-word.

Hell, that was nothing. Now women (you know, those creatures that own the vaginas all these legislators want to regulate) dare not mutter the word, “Vagina” on the same legislative floors where men try to regulate vaginas.

Yes that’s right folks. This is happening right here in the USA.

We have Congress and State legislators and other jerkoffs discussing and probing our vaginas practically day and night. We have to listen to them discussing our menstrual periods as well (See Arizona regarding a woman being considered pregnant on the first day of her period, even if she hasn’t had any sex and doesn’t plan to; Just in case!). We’ve watched that dickhead Daryl Issa conduct panel discussions on what to do with women’s reproductive organs while declaring that women are not qualified to testify; And we’ve put up with about all we can take from the Vatican and their obsession with making as many babies as possible to keep women in that kitchen, in between increasing the flock–whether they want to or not. All of this is happening without input from the actual owners of the vaginas being regulated . This doesn’t seem to appear out of place at all to these women-hobbling psychos straight out of a Monty Python skit with actors on steroids.

However, don’t one of you wimminz DARE say Vagina yourselves, you hear? Men will decide what to do with your vagina, ovaries and womb and don’t you dare mention it. Your personal parts and processes belong to your government now. Furthermore don’t you dare discuss Boyz body parts or try to make any legislation that regulates them. Regulations are for you subordinate wimminz not boyz.

Well, Michigan House Rep and obviously Uppity Bitch Lisa Brown got that all wrong. These damned bitches just are so hard to train, who let them in the chambers, dammit.
It seems that Brown…..sputter… referred to her ewwwwwy vagina on the floor and completely forgot that her vagina is not her own. To make matters worse, her co-conspirator, Rep. Barb Byrum, indirectly referred to men’s parts with Brown’s blessings, which is a definite bad thing because men’s body parts belong to men and women’s body parts belong to men. That was two strikes against this obviously audacious and aggressive woman.

As punishment for speaking out of turn and not submitting to their superiors, Reps Brown and Byrum were barred from speaking on the floor on any issue.

A Michigan lawmaker was blocked from speaking on the state House floor as punishment for referencing her private parts in an earlier speech.

In a Wednesday speech on a controversial bill that would further regulate abortions, Rep. Lisa Brown concluded, “Finally Mr. Speaker, I’m flattered that you’re all so interested in my vagina, but ‘no’ means ‘no,’” according to The Detroit News. A day later, House Republicans refused to allow Brown, a Democrat, to weigh in on a school employee retirement bill.

This gets better.

Here you can see how Rep Brown created her own third strike against herself by supporting regulating the Sacrament of Vasectomy, which incidentally, has to do with men’s reproductive parts and therefore is neither wimminz’ business nor government business in the same way that vaginas are. So she and Rep Barb Byrum were barred from speaking, a punishment akin to Go Stand In The Corner because you displeased the Principal. (And just wait till your father gets home, bad girl! Now fetch me a beer!).

A spokesman for Michigan Speaker James Bolger released a statement explaining that Brown and fellow Democratic Rep. Barb Byrum “will not be recognized to speak on the House floor today after being gaveled down for their comments and actions yesterday that failed to maintain the decorum of the House of Representatives.” (Byrum had tried to introduce an amendment to ban vasectomies except when one’s required to save a man’s life.)

The obviously insubordinate and fractious Reps. Brown and Byrum got pretty sick and tired of this crap, so they had the audacity to hold a press conference of their own. It also appears that some other citizens showed up to support them. But, coincidentally, unless I missed something in this video, none of the Michigan Legislative boyz are very supportive of the concept that vaginas belong to women and men have no right to Regulate them. I don’t see what appears to be one male State House Democrat in this video. Or maybe they just all had a “prior commitment’ and couldn’t make it to this press conference:
Imagine the nerve of these two broads, fighting back against regulation of their bodies!

I recommend the witch burnings proceed immediately. I suggest they tie bricks on these two wimminz feet, throw them in the river and check to see if they float. But first, let us preview a Committee On What To Do About Women In Our Chambers, led by Michigan House Speaker James Bolger.

Afghan women leave the country in fear of Taliban return
Tracy McVeigh, The Observer, Sat 26 May 2012

A brain drain of bright young women is already taking place in Afghanistan before the 2014 handover that many fear will mean a reversal of advances in women’s rights.

The lack of commitment by the Afghan government to equality and to tackling the high rates of ill-treatment of women in the home and in the workplace is raising real fears they will be at the bottom of the political agenda in the push for power after Nato forces leave the country.

Worsening security for civilians – casualties among ordinary Afghans have risen year on year for the last five years with 3,021 killed in 2011, and women are thought to be suffering disproportionately – has led to rising numbers of women and girls leaving education and the workforce and staying indoors, according to Guhramaana Kakar, a gender adviser to President Hamid Karzai.

Speaking to the Observer, Kakar said negotiations between the government and the Taliban and other insurgent groups were ignoring women’s rights. A recent survey by charity ActionAid suggested 86% of Afghan women were fearful of a return to Taliban-style rule. One in five worried about the education of their daughters but 72% said their lives were better now than a decade ago.

“Women do want the progress that has been made over the past 10 years to continue, but they are being kept away from the political processes,” Kakar said. “All Afghans, men and women, want a country without foreign troops, but I think the international community should be putting women on the agenda and making sure their security and freedoms are secured, directly and indirectly.”

She criticised the recent Nato conference in Chicago for completely ignoring the issue. “Women are regularly harassed in the workplace, they are exploited and credit for their achievements taken by men, while also being targeted by insurgents for going to work or school. They suffer the worst in the security situation and, even at home, they are subjected to violence and abuse which is tacitly sanctioned by the courts and the government.”

Kakar has been involved in peace negotiations with the Taliban and believes more women should be allowed into the political system. “We have many women in parliament but they are given very weak roles. We have very brave women who are gaining respect and in some cases are trusted more than the men to negotiate, because they are seen as having less political baggage.

“If more women were allowed into the provincial and peace councils, this would be a big show to the insurgents that they cannot reverse 10 years of women’s advancements.”

Growing levels of violence against women and a disregard by many courts for their legal protection has led to horrific stories of children being raped and then imprisoned for adultery, and schoolteachers being attacked for teaching girls. ActionAid’s head of public affairs, Melanie Ward, said the security situation was an enormous threat to women. “Experience tells us that an increase in attacks on women is often an early warning sign that the Taliban is regaining control in an area.”

“Security for women cannot be divorced from the wider security agenda in Afghanistan.”
Selay Ghaffar, chief executive of the Kabul-based NGO Humanitarian Assistance for the Women and Children of Afghanistan, says many young women are leaving. “They see no future for themselves in Afghanistan so the bright ones are seeking scholarships or work abroad. We have had two schools for girls burned down near the capital in recent days, acid attacks on girls going to school, increasing stories of rape and of kidnap.

“Many NGOs who try to help women have been killed. Billions of dollars from international organisations have been poured into Afghanistan and ended up in the pockets of male politicians, while women are left to feel insecure in their own land. For those who cannot leave, it is sending them back into the home; many women are deciding to stop work.

Dirty Words on Clean Skin: The Real War on Women
Posted on March 27, 2012 by Anita Finlay (“Ani”)

In 2008, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama waged an epic battle for the presidential nomination that captured the imagination and hopes of millions, but the joy of watching a qualified woman vie for the presidency was marred by newsmen and pundits calling Hillary Clinton a hellish housewife, Nurse Ratched, she-devil and bitch. What I witnessed made the bile rise in my throat from such a deep place, I had to get off the sidelines and take action. I transformed from actor and fearful news junkie to determined campaign grunt and citizen journalist.

DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN is my shocking exposé about the real war on women…who’s buying, who’s selling, and why they get away with it.

That war is waged daily by mainstream media, party backstabbers, opposing politicians, advertisers and lowbrow comedians on high powered television shows – all of whom miss no opportunity to degrade and marginalize; reducing women to body parts, wardrobe choices and vocal tics.

The quality and preparedness of Hillary Clinton was continually obscured by the bread and circuses of distraction and character assassination. To a greater or lesser degree, these are tactics with which all females running for office have become acquainted. We say the sky’s the limit for women in this country, but the reality was quite different when we were presented with a test case.

For sixteen years, polls have named Hillary Clinton America’s most admired woman, yet when it counted, she was depicted as a vile harpy standing in the way of history. From The New York Times to the `, she is being encouraged to once again stand for the Presidency, yet any prescription offered to a woman attempting to break the “highest, hardest glass ceiling” will be worthless without an honest discussion of those responsible and their methods.

That discussion has yet to take place…
In her recent WaPo article, Twenty Years On, ‘Year of the Woman’ Fades, Karen Tumulty offers many reasons why women have not attained anything approaching parity in political representation, after female membership in the House and Senate doubled in 1992:

“…They made their presence felt beyond Capitol Hill, with the passage of legislation that made the workplace more family-friendly, that directed more medical research to women’s health issues and that made the criminal justice system more responsive to domestic violence.”

Women now represent 16.8% of Congress. We have now hit a plateau, Tumulty says. Another way of putting it is stagnation. The treatment received by Hillary Clinton, who won more votes than any candidate in Primary history, and Sarah Palin, only the second woman to get on a presidential ticket, served as horrifying cautionary tales rather than encouragement. Why would more qualified women run for higher office when a misogynist gauntlet awaits them?

2008 is the year misogyny was made cool. Four years later, the verbal and visual assaults against women continue unchecked. The culprits may surprise you. The facts will shock you.

DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN transcends party politics and goes far beyond the treatment of one woman to examine the cost of denying equal respect to all women.

DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN is available for purchase today on Amazon and on Kindle as well. The official book launch will be April 24th. I am so pleased to make it available early for my readers. You have encouraged me, taught me to stand up, to make an argument, and most of all, to understand that my principles are more important than being liked.

I am grateful to you all. Thank you so much for your support of my work!

Dirty Words on Clean Skin by Anita Finlay — Website Launch!
Posted on April 9, 2012 by Anita Finlay (“Ani”)
In an election year, we can be sure of two things: First, the incumbent and his opponent are going to pander to groups where their poll numbers need shoring up. Second, we can count on the mainstream media to function as the de facto PR firm for their favored son, further ginning up whatever problem said politician avers we need to solve, coincidentally ensuring his re-election. In this case, that favored son is President Obama.

The current pandering is aimed squarely at the hearts and minds of women. First, we had the contraceptive debate designed to whip us into a frenzy and now, suddenly, and as if it had not occurred to anyone else before him, the President deigns to tell us women we are not cookie cutter people and need to be dealt with as individuals. Will this political pander work? Of course it will. If I’d learned anything in 2008, it is that women have an endless capacity to settle for crumbs rather than standing up to claim the cake. That is the only way we could have witnessed the more qualified female candidate dragged through the mud, only to watch Ms. Magazine offer up a cover photo of Mr. Obama and declare, “This Is What a Feminist Looks Like.”

The real war on women is something entirely different than we are led to believe. It cannot be contained in soundbites and certainly will not be explained in worthy fashion by someone who advantaged himself at every turn by the sexist rhetoric that was used to take down his worthy primary opponent. In the name of changing the narrative and reclaiming the debate, my book Dirty Words On Clean Skin asks us all to examine the daily media and political brainwashing that deliberately shames, marginalizes and abuses women. I am so pleased to launch my website to further this cause…please help it to go viral!

Also on the website is a video that shares more information about the book — and why it advantages all of us to get involved:

Please visit my site at www.AnitaFinlay.com.

DIRTY WORDS ON CLEAN SKIN is now available for purchase on Amazon, and is also available on Kindle!

Thank you very much for your support of my work!

Look long enough at this photo (and think about the fact that these men are being empowered by our Congress to judge us as sluts and sinners and to withhold access to medicine and health care based on their view of us on the Slut Meter) until you are angry enough to do something about it.

I can only hope that the sheer insanity of some of these cavemen is becoming obvious enough to women that we will wake up and put a stake through the undead hearts of vampires like Santorum, Friess, and Issa. As always, shame on obama for opening this Hell Mouth with no intention of actually combatting the demons who poured out. His only craven purpose was to weaken Romney, not to protect women’s civil rights or improve our access to safe, affordable health care. It’s actually gone beyond an attack on the civil rights of women. We are now faced with serious threats to our bodies — reproductive disorders, syndromes, and diseases are extremely serious and common. Undiagnosed and untreated, they will sterilize, scar, and KILL women and girls. I’m not even talking about unplanned pregnancy here. I’m talking about endometriosis, PCOS, and HPV. I’m talking about lumps in breasts that become cancer. I’m talking about hormonal imbalances and diabetes.

How DARE a failed politician like Santorum presume to dictate the terms of intercourse and how much importance we can place on pleasure during sex in order to avoid sinning (gag) in HIS god’s eyes? Is this guy for real? If he was a teacher in my daughter’s school I’d report him as an obvious pervert and possible pedophile. Come on Catholics, don’t be fooled by obama’s ploy to send you running into this nutjob’s arms.

How DARE a chairperson of a Congressional committee NOT ALLOW women to testify on our own behalf about the effects of limiting our access to routine health care?

How DARE the state of Virginia contemplate passing a law requiring rape victims to be re-raped by a technician with a probe simply to guilt them into not terminating a pregnancy caused by their rapist?

How DARE Santorum’s sugar daddy get on national TV and wax reminiscent about the good old days when women had to literally clench their knees together to avoid rape and pregnancy?

Said billionaire Santorum funder Foster Friess on on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell: “On this contraceptive thing, my gosh, it’s so inexpensive. You know, back in my days, they used Bayer Aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.”

********** Pumapac PROWL *********

1. Call Rep. Darrell Issa’s office now and ask him how DARE he bar women from testifying to OUR Congress about a matter that profoundly affects our health and well-being, not even to mention our Constitutionally granted CIVIL RIGHTS?? Dial 202-225-3906.

Send him an email HERE. Use a zip codefrom California’s 49th Congressional district to get through the filter (92587, 92590, 92591):

Dear Rep. Issa,
How dare you exclude women from testifying on our own behalf about legislation that would have a profound effect on our health and well-being? I am a woman — I vote, and I will work with other women and our friends and families to defeat your woman-hating agenda.
Sincerely, your name.

Email the Governor of Virginia. Use the address: 500 Ivy Ave, Charlottesville VA 22903 and Violet Socks’ letter as a template:

Dear Governor McDonnell:
It’s my understanding that you have said you will sign HB462, the bill mandating that women seeking abortions be subjected to object rape with a vaginal probe.
Please understand that if you sign this bill, I and other women in Virginia will ensure that you will forever be known as “Rapist McDonnell.” We will work tirelessly to block your political ambitions FOREVER and to make sure that your complicity in the state-mandated object rape of Virginia citizens is never forgotten.
Sincerely, Your Name.

Pumas, don’t let the bastards get away with this.
