Thinking of all PUMAS I have been down with a broken foot since hurricane Sandy came to LI. The fraud being re selected has made me insane. Not sure what was worse him or 4 broken bones and no weight bearing for 2 months now..How did he get the POTUS job again? Spare me the story that doesn’t include FRAUD please. Its to the point his voice/picture sends me seeking more pain meds. I hope and pray everyone is fine and wish we had better news for us and our country but seems we have 4 years of FORWARD. Thanks to all who have kept PUMA Pac alive. I will check in more often and hope everyone does as well. Wishing you all Joy in 2013.

WE Really need to have a party here, Drinks will be on me as long as Casper CAT provides the music. We always had some good parties even when there was not much to celebrate, it seems there is still not much to celebrate other than 2012 is over and 2013 somehow has to be better. Maybe the Mayans will come for Ofraud and take him to outer space we can only HOPE.

6

Headclunker 12.27.12 at 5:23 pm

FLBarbara,

Sorry to hear about your foot. This teeney, tiny, spec of a PUMA made her protest vote for Romney against the Fraud and felt crazy/angry when he was reelected, too. But Romney’s oil whore energy policies were bad, bad, bad. The election was a death by drowning or by fire. The damage was done by the Dem Party Bosses who selected O. He used his office and the media to mislead the American People and they wanted to believe.

The only way to survive this is with a sense of humor as the clown show continues.

7

FLBarbara 12.27.12 at 6:09 pm

Headclunker..I too Voted absentee ballot for Romney. I also registered as a R when I went home to Fl in May I did it on May 31,2012. I am seriously at the point where the voice and sight of him makes me ill. I broke my foot on election morning while volunteering at a hurricane relief place..ugh and woke up when they said Ofraud was elected I honestly thought I was having hallucinations!!! I still cant believe he is once again POTUS and yes the crap I heard from Obots was overwhelming and still is. I wonder at what point will he be considered the failure he is? Even with a sense of humor it is so difficult, he has been a blight on this country and yes the dims are to blame and so is the media but Obots also share in the blame because they are ignorant to how dangerous he is choosing to believe hope and forward are actually strategies. I don’t have enough pain meds for the next 4 years lol

I feel like an inconsequential speck.

The year did not end well for me. My mom who was two weeks short of her 96th birthday in December and whom I took on vacation in October got ill and passed away in early Dec. No mood for much of anything.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother.
I’m glad you had time with her in October.
It doesn’t get better but it does get different.
Hang in there and honor your grieving process.

23

gojoy,
Compassion for the six year old you once were.
I’m betting no one who witnessed your embarrassment at that time, remembers it. Those who may remember are as old as you are now, and have probably developed some degree of compassion for that little girl.

Headclunker 12.29.12 at 10:26 am

The Fiscal Cliff Clown Show is really cranking up. O has made his statement on it, complaining about American Leadership and his loyal lemmings do not seem to realize that he is the leadership. Only a total narcissist pull that whopper off as the blame game goes on. Now Boehner has been outed on his affairs and apparently it is business as usual for the Obama Scum Machine. Who will cave? Is it over the cliff? Just how much hopium can people guzzle? Maybe if they all start chanting, the country will just float over the cliff for the new year.

28

HP Boston 12.29.12 at 10:48 am

Yup the DC show goes on and on…
if anyone dares to diss
“THE BIG FRAUD OBUMMER”
they are destroyed every day in the fauxmedia.
The chanting I hear is the Republicans are toast, the Republicans are the reason to jump off a cliff, Boehner is out…long live the king of scum Obummer! The failed “leader.”

29

freddiebrown 12.29.12 at 4:10 pm

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone’s kind words. It was a very difficult time for me especially as my mom held a special place in my heart and I was very protective of her all the time. No matter how you prepare for it, it is rough when it ends.

30

HP Boston 12.29.12 at 5:16 pm

It is rough Freddie, a day at a time, a day at a time.
I am still taking it a day at a time.

31

Headclunker 12.29.12 at 6:22 pm

freddiebrown,

Two days after the re-election of our failed POTUS, I got a call from a doctor who had done some tests on my 84-year-old mother. She told me my mother had esophageal cancer, that I should bring her in to get a feeding tube and call hospice. When I questioned her about treatment, she said she did not think their oncologist would not consider her eligible for treatment. I was devastated and totally broke down. I know it was wrong, and did not accept what she said, but it was just the idea of such a loss.

My mother and I are not close, but I do see she is taken care of. It took some doing, and if she had no money, she would have been in a bad spot, but we have gotten her good treatment. She has just finished her second week (of five) and is doing quite well. But I wonder now if she will see 90, let alone 96 and I believe you just have to value every day of quality life you have. If you have had the blessings of a loving mother, you have something that will never be gone.

Love to Murph and all my PUMA friends, may 2013 be better than 2012…God willing.

34

freddiebrown 12.30.12 at 1:39 pm

ShadowFax – It is good to see you as always. ((( )))) to you too ! I wish you would visit more often :)

Did you all see the article on cnn.com about Hillary running in 2016 and the comments below? I have not paid much attention to news – it saps my energy now. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/12/30/cnn-poll-clinton-tops-list-of-2016-hopefuls/?hpt=hp_t2

35

freddiebrown 12.30.12 at 2:25 pm

Headclunker – Even though you are not close to your mom – I am sure in your heart, you are. If you ever want to video talk to your mom on your phone, there is a nice software called “we chat”. Similar to Skype video but much,much better. All our siblings use this when communicating when mom was ill and now I cringe when I hear an incoming message. When I could not be with my mom, my niece would just leave the phone turned on and propped up and I could watch my mom quietly or talk to her from where I was. You can use it as a walkie talkie, instant messaging or video chat. I am not sure how much of your data plan it actually pulls.

36

goofsmom 12.30.12 at 2:48 pm

freddie,

It’s been 3 1/2 years since I lost my mom. As the days pass the pain slowly dulls. When regrets pop up, learn to focus on a happy memory.

Sending good thoughts to everyone in our loving Puma family.

37

Headclunker 12.30.12 at 3:48 pm

freddiebrown 35,

When I said my mother and I were not close, I was speaking emotionally. We were actually estranged for years. She lives 10 miles away. That is why I think you are so lucky to have a close, loving relationship to miss. Not everyone has that and you should treasure the memories of her life with you. She would not want you to be overwhelmed with grief. Think of what she would want for you. Feel the love and pass it on.

I settle for a civil, caring relationship with my mother who enjoys her immaculate sunny apartment, while I live in my house with kids and pets and my solar energy lab in my kitchen and back yard. She is actually helping me financially getting a prototype made of a solar tracker joint I am patenting. I gave her a copy of the patent, but she has not read it. I can tell her I have my name on patents for former employers and show her my professional engineers license, but it just does not compute for her at all.

38

freddiebrown 12.30.12 at 4:43 pm

It seems when I was watching my mom, I developed what I thought was indigestion (burps and heavy feeling in my chest). I figured it was stress and my doc said GERD or acid reflux – though I don’t have much of those symptoms.Ultra sound is fine.Now I’m telling her I want a referral to a gastrointerologist. Its TMI (too much information). Hey do you all remember this PUMA who just loves to give us every detail of her gaping wounds and sicknesses etc? LOL – it seems so long ago.

We have to go to NY this Thursday for work (brrr) and then straight to Atlanta and a week later back to NY. Sucks. I want to CHUCK my business as I am tired of travelling. Dances, I may join you in early retirement.

39

Headclunker 12.30.12 at 4:50 pm

Freddie,
When on experiences a significant loss or transition in ones life, it’s never a good idea to make major decisions.

Maybe you could just take a break for now?

41

freddiebrown 12.30.12 at 7:15 pm

Dances – I will keep your advice in mind about no major decisions. But not sure how to take a break in this type of business – though I’ve thought about it.

Goofsmom – I am trying to focus on positive times as you said.Even now, thinking makes me feel like I just swallowed a loaf of bread. Yes, it will get easier – I just need to get there.

Headclunker – I will google the stuff you mentioned. I’m getting accupuncture tomorrow.

I heard on the news that Hillary Clinton hospitalized again – this time for a blood clot discovered in a follow up to her concussion recently. I hope she will be OK.
http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/30/politics/hillary-clinton-hospitalized/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

43

Hope all the freaks who accused Hillary of faking her concussion to avoid Benghazi testimony, eat shit and die.

So many are so threatened by her and we all know why.

44

prplvette85 12.30.12 at 9:34 pm

((((Freddie))) I am so sorry to hear of your loss. All I can say is take your time and grieve. The loss of our mother is probably the hardest unless you have lost a child. You go through so many thoughts and start looking a yourself, and life in a different way. Just know we are all here for you every step of the way.I will keep you in my prayers.
I am also praying for Hillary, who as you may know has just been admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in her leg. Having gone through that, I can very much relate to her pain. Mine went to my lungs and I almost died. I am glad they caught hers early.
Let’s hope and pray as 2012 comes to a close, We have a better 2013.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year. We sure do deserve it!

45

Shadowfax 12.30.12 at 9:36 pm

Dances, I am pretty darn pist about all those that thought Hillary was faking her illness, I hope Karma smacks them in the face and that Hillary gets the best care and is protected with millions of prayers.

Dear Hillary, may you have a speedy recovery.

46

I’d just like to say Happy New Year to everyone.

Let’s hope that 13 turns out better than 12.

47

Susan5 12.31.12 at 11:21 am

Hi Everyone,
It’s been a long time since I posted, but I’ve been keeping up. So sorry to hear about your loss, freddie. Take time to grieve and don’t make any major decisions now. Also watch your health. Stress and grief can do a number on you. It’s been quite a year, the election very discouraging. I’m in CT and there are too many OBOTS to count.
I’m keeping Hillary in my thoughts and prayers. I don’t blame anyone but Obama. I think he ran her ragged. She always has taken good care of her health and lately I thought she hasn’t looked well. She’s been too busy trying to clean up after his blunders internationally. Hillary took the responsibility for Benghazi. I don’t blame the politicians for pushing for the answers and some of them are women. Our Ambassador was murdered. That’s a major deal. And that there were only the 4 others there. Also that there were other attacks before. Where was our President? Of course not leading or paying attention. I hope we can survive the next years Hope all of you have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Graham on fiscal cliff: Obama wins ‘hollow’ political victory
CNN’s Ashley Killough and Dan Merica

Washington (CNN) – Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina on Sunday credited President Barack Obama with winning the “fiscal cliff” battle, but argued the final deal will likely do little to help the nation’s deficit problem.

“The president will get a political victory, a trophy for the president politically, but it will not change our debt situation or reduce our deficit in any meaningful way,” Graham told CNN. “It will be a political victory that is hollow in nature when it comes to preventing our country from becoming Greece.”

49

Shadowfax 12.31.12 at 5:09 pm

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a blood clot in a vein between her brain and her skull, her doctors said Monday, predicting however she should make a full recovery.

A scan on Sunday had revealed “a clot in the vein that is situated in the space between the brain and the skull behind the right ear. It did not result in a stroke, or neurological damage,” the doctors said in a statement. But, they added, Clinton “is making excellent progress and we are confident she will make a full recovery.”

Prayers for Hillary……….

January 2013. SOS Hillary Rodham Clinton is briefing Long Face for his new position. Which he began applying for in 2004, and worked very hard for beginning January 2008, then through the primary campaign. At that time, although I did not notice until recently, the NYTimes was paying attention:

Hillary will be testifying on Benghazi on the first day of O’s new term. I do not think it is a coincidence. I am so glad she will be free of Ofuctard. I am so disgusted I cannot even watch the clown show as bobot heads explode of the 2% payroll tax hike. They will really get a screwing now. Unfortunately, so will the rest of us. What a rotten scumball. Buck Farrack.

I hope Hillary dumps a load of poo on him in her testimony. I do not think she wants 2016 if she has to cover up what happened there. I think she has the guts to tell and let what happens happen. We will see.

68

gordana 01.12.13 at 2:32 pm

HC #67
I wish I could be as confident as you are about Hillary’s testimony, i.e. dumping a load of poo on him. in MHO, if she were to tell all, he would have to be impeached.
I believe that Bill’s presence during the last election was not one for the love of the Fraud, but for his love of Hillary and Chelsea, in for securing their safety.
I think they/we all got caught in a web of evil and it makes me very sad for my country, and for my children and grandchilden.

Well, Ofucktards polls seem to be indicating that the election afterglow is fading. I think it may have something to do with our shrinking paychecks, for those of us lucky to be getting them.

He has the economy all screwed up as this Healthcare tax rolls out on us and the screwball is now jacking with gun control. We have a retarded POTUS who has no interest whatsoever in the welfare of the Nation.

At least gun sales have been boosting the economy.

What do you think of the new boise club in the Whithouse?

Good Mourning everyone. I have not watched nor listened to the radio since Friday. I do not want to hear, or see the puke and his mrs at all. I am still in shock that this could even have happened. America as we know it is gone.
On the bright side. My youngest grand daughter Krysten, has made the Boyz wrestling team! My little pnut now 13 is going to kick some butt, my little feminist that she is :)

I don’t usually comment on women’s appearances but I like Michelle Obama’s new hairstyle. It makes her look less severe by de-emphasizing her dominant jawline and the bangs soften her over-arching eyebrows. I also liked the outfit she was wearing… sophisticated and smart.

Cheers and kudos to Krysten!! That experience should go a long way in self confidence and self-protection.

PS I think your email or FB acct has been hacked. Change your passwords.

PPS I’m going to forward the drawing Krysten created of the Tiger Lily to you. I love it but I think it should stay with the owner of TigerLily, especially since the owner is the artist’s Nonna! :-)

DWP,

If you liked Moochelles new look, check it out at the Inauguration Dinner. After she shovels her food and rolls her eyes at Bohner, Barack gives his nose a good pickin’.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=oGcbXiuCM0o

Earlier, they had cut down the estimate of the adoring crowd to 500,000 – 700,000 but it looked a little scarce. Obama added the historical achievement of chewing gum through the Inauguration Speech.

81

prplvette85 01.21.13 at 10:51 pm

Dances,
I did change my passwords, why do you think I have been hacked? I know I keep getting defriended from you for some reason. But I am going to go change again. That kind of stuff makes me nervous!

82

freddiebrown 01.21.13 at 11:53 pm

I keep getting flashed with photo’s of the Obama’s somehow. I can’t click away fast enough. Fair enough Dances… Michelle looked better than 4 years ago. I see she has her teeth invisiglined…you can tell when she spoke at the elections months ago. It made her jaws more aligned but that is TMI (too much information that is not needed).

To all my friends and foes, please keep fingers and toes crossed (little prayers will be appreciated too,) that I can get a buyer for my business. I sent off a proposal today. I want this but am afraid to even be hopeful – if that makes sense. Hope everyone is doing well.

Why is Hillary so invincible now? She prevailed on Benghazi by having taken so many bullets that she became bulletproof, like her husband. At a certain point you’re like Keanu Reeves in The Matrix, just letting them bounce off you.

I guess I am kind of disappointed that H did not out O at the Benghazi Hearing, but then again I am glad she is still in the game. What a clown show. It was like watching actor on the stage.

But the DNC has been BARRACKED as he makes his fraud machine into a Non-profit and leaves them to fend for themselves. The machine actually did not work very well and MUR6142 is still an active complaint. Furthermore, it is useless without the illicit donors to feed the dirty money in it for laundering.

Big Pink has a good post up on http://www.hillaryis44.org/2013/01/25/some-answers-hillary-clinton-benghazi-and-the-nomination-fight-for-2016-part-ii/

86

Headclunker 01.26.13 at 7:48 pm

A note on post #80. BO’s chewing was through the Inauguration festivities, not the speech. Probably because he is too stupid to read his teleprompter and chew gum at the same time.

freddiebrown 01.26.13 at 11:37 pm

Sorry to go off topic, but has any one here gone through a Tony Robbins motivational class before? Or read his books / watched his DVD? I have heard of him but not really know much until the Piers Morgan (CNN) interview on Jan 26. He really made a big impression and I liked what he said. (one which I liked was when Piers asked what he thought of Obama). Robbins had an opportunity to meet with him and he told Obama that he voted for him 4 years ago (meaning not this time around) and he thought that being divisive was not going to lift up the country. I am paraphrasing…but that was the gist of it. Anyway, he seems fascinating and his next event is March in LA and it is pricey and 4 days long is a time investment as well . That is why I am trying to see if anyone thought it would be worth it. http://www.tonyrobbins.com
Thanks in advance for comments.

HP Boston 01.31.13 at 10:15 am

Well Pumas I have now purchased a cottage in Maine.
I will be a happy camper all summer.
Not easy plodding through snow looking at cottages and thinking summer. I DID IT!

95

gojoyknocks 01.31.13 at 1:19 pm

HP…north,south, east or west?

96

DancesWithPumas 01.31.13 at 10:44 pm

HP,
Congratulations!!!

97

HP Boston 02.01.13 at 9:34 am

Gojoy… South, the town of Wells, it is an hour and a half from my home. That is not a summer time ETA as traffic can be brutal then. I can go at off times and just about anytime and stay longtime! Going to rent it for 5-6 weeks to cover taxes and fees, it is a condo group and they take care of each cottage that is rented. I am torn as it has never been rented and it is pristine.

98

HP Boston 02.01.13 at 10:22 am

Thanks Dances………….
You remember the Puma get together in Maine? My cottage village is very near.

99

2PumaSisters 02.01.13 at 3:50 pm

Dear Murphy,

Let me be the first to wish you a peaceful and warm February and an early
“Happy Birthday.” I remember this is your birthday month.

Yes, I have been absent for more than two years, but I have come back to read your posts and comments from you and all pumas from time to time.

Today, I heard our dear SOS Hillary R. Clinton give her farewell speech and of course, she did a great job. Let us hope that after much needed rest she will decide to run for POTUSA in 2016.

A Happy New Year to each one of you.

I missed you too, but had two very difficult years. Illness and death and I was the care giver. If you have ever been there, I know you will understand.

Hope that 2013 will be a happy and peaceful year for us.

Love you, Me

HP Boston – what wonderful news! Congratulations!

I hope you spend many happy hours in your new cottage.

BTW does this mean that you will now be known as HP Maine? :-)

104

HP Boston 02.03.13 at 9:11 am

Thank you Delle, I will rent out the cottage for a few weeks each summer to defray costs..so I will still be HP Boston.
Five months in Maine does not a Mainer make.

5 months? Spring through Autumn?

106

HP Boston 02.04.13 at 11:29 pm

Yup Dances it is May thru October. My 2 bedroom cottage is a condo resort with many amenities. I will rent it out in July, it will make enough to cover fees and taxes.
I hope.

Are you one of those unfortunates who lost power to the storm?

116

Delle 02.09.13 at 6:46 am

What a mess we have on Long Island. There is about 2 feet of snow outside.

All the streets are empty. The main parkway has been shut down.

I can’t even distinguish the front steps from each other – they look like just one mound of ice. Yikes!

At least I still have power. And heat. And enough food to last several days.

Stay safe everyone. Especially those of you living in or around Boston. I think you were hit the worst.

117

HP Boston 02.09.13 at 10:52 am

Yup Delle it is a deep drift we are all in, have power and heat.
Very cold here to boot……………I need boots, high ones!

gordana 02.09.13 at 10:36 pm

Here are some of Bill Cosby pearls….they make sense to me, so I’m sharing…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bill Cosby “I’m 83 and Tired”
I’ve worked hard since I was 17. Except for when I was doing my National Service, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn’t call in sick in nearly 40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn’t inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I’m tired. Very tired.
I’m tired of being told that I have to “spread the wealth” to people who don’t have my work ethic. I’m tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.
I’m tired of being told that Islam is a “Religion of Peace,” when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family “honor”; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren’t “believers”; Muslims burning schools for girls; Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for “adultery”; Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur’an and Shari’a law tells them to.
I’m tired of being told that out of “tolerance for other cultures” we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and Madrasa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia , New Zealand , UK, America and Canada , while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..
I’m tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.
I’m tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?
I’m tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I’m tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
I’m really tired of people who don’t take responsibility for their lives and actions. I’m tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.
I’m also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20′s be-deck themselves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves unemployable and claiming money from the Government.
Yes, I’m damn tired. But I’m also glad to be 83.. Because, mostly, I’m not going to have to see the world these people are making. I’m just sorry for my granddaughter and their children. Thank God I’m on the way out and not on the way in. There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on! This is your chance to make a difference.
“I’m 83 and I’m tired. If you don’t agree you are part of the problem!
119
freddiebrown 02.10.13 at 12:21 am
Gordana – High 5 to you for sharing and Bravo to Bill Crosby for writing what a lot of us feel. I agree with every single thing he said. I have always liked Bill Crosby because he says it like it is without dragging in race, gender or whathave you.
Many celebrities are too busy figuring out if what they say out loud would be politically correct or public suicide.
I’ll pass it on.
Hello Pumas.. This from CNN is about Domestic Abuse – I wanted to share because it is important to women..
Read the rest here or go to http://www.ted.com (TED talks)
Editor’s note: Leslie Morgan Steiner, a Washington, D.C., native, is on the advisory boards of the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, the One Love Foundation and the National Domestic Violence Hotline. She is author of the memoir “Crazy Love.” She spoke at TEDx Rainier in 2012. TED is a nonprofit dedicated to “ideas worth spreading,” which it makes available through talks posted on its website.
(CNN) — This week, as the Senate decides whether to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act and Valentine’s Day approaches, it’s worth noting that most domestic violence victims don’t ask for roses, chocolate or federal funding. Instead, we have one simple wish: We want the abuse to end.
We don’t want the relationship to end.
This fact about “crazy love” surprises many people. How could you still love someone who has hurt you?
Leslie Morgan Steiner
Leslie Morgan Steiner
The answer is as complicated as love itself. We victims tend to be hope junkies, open-hearted and optimistic. We believe that our loved ones are capable of change. Some would say we are naïve. Others say we are too kind or too forgiving. Often we cannot find the courage to leave an abusive relationship until our life (or our children’s safety) has been threatened.
When victims end an abusive relationship, the first thing we need is shelter. This is the No. 1 request made by victims who call the National Domestic Violence Hotline, the federally funded national helpline (1.800.799.SAFE). It is a practical request — a roof over our heads. But it is also an emotional one — the deep need to seek safety and to protect our children from danger.
Many victims know instinctively what friends and family usually don’t: The most lethal time in an abusive relationship is after you leave. More than 70% of domestic violence murders happen after the victim has gotten out. Like 20-year-old Selina Brown, who was shot in the face last year as she and her toddler daughter tried to board a bus. So safe shelter is, naturally, our biggest priority.
128
gojoyknocks 02.17.13 at 6:31 pm
HP…Probably dehydration. I booked it before diagnosis. I usually can’t be anywhere but home longer then two hours before the panic sets in. I would love to have the $1700.00 back. I have no doubt I would have died if my daughter hadn’t dragged me to the hospital.
We are experiencing blizzard like winds right now. I’ll be pissed if I can’t watch Downton Abbey tonight.
Looking forward to seeing you in August.
Hi dances.
129
freddiebrown 02.17.13 at 10:40 pm
Dances – Ditto what you said.
I check in regularly like a ritual.
Go Joy – please take care of yourself.
I don’t know if anyone is interested… not on purpose at all, but I lost 10 pounds (unintentionally) in the last 2-3 months… I was starting to panic when my belt ran out of holes to cinch my jeans.
Then I looked at my recently taken supplements and noticed that the B12 vitamin I was taking (I bought it for my mom but took it cos it promotes energy)..anyway I noticed that it says Promote: energy and metabolism. I think the “promotes metabolism” is what is making me loose weight. Even my doc. noticed that I lost weight. So I treated myself to ice cream 3 nights in a row while I am now in San Francisco.
So anyone who needs to shed a pound or 10…google B12
Hillary takes Texas:
http://blog.chron.com/txpotomac/2013/02/gop-fears-hillary-clinton-continues-to-spark-talk-of-a-blue-texas/
In January, Public Policy Polling reported that if she ran for president in 2016, Hilary Clinton would run a competitve race in Texas. Clinton was said to have a one percent lead over Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., a two point lead over New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, and a surprising eight point lead over our own governor, Rick Perry.
142
Headclunker 02.24.13 at 10:01 pm
I have been on a major bummer. The day after Ofucktard got reselected, I found out my 84 year old Mother has esophageal cancer. We fought it and she almost made it, but passed away on February 1st. I hate February. My Father died in February, also, 11 years ago. The family has been acting like jackasses over her services and estate. Mom and I were not so close, but I meant to see to it she was taken care of in this world on into the next. We spread her ashes as sea as my Fathers had been.
Just this weekend I have got back to my solar lab. Mom sponsored me on building a prototype of an invention I have for a solar tracker. They emailed to tell me it was done, and it worked, on the day she passed away. It arrived on the day of her services.
Here and now in the obomanation sucks, but 2016 is coming. Get ready.
143
freddiebrown 02.25.13 at 2:07 am
HeadClunker: I’m sorry to hear about your mother. You mentioned that she was ill a few months ago and it sucks that she didn’t make it after you fought to get her the medical attention she needed. We had a great catered dinner with a rowdy toast to my mom at the end of the funeral – I am sure she got a kick out of it. God ended it one way, but we put a twist on it by celebrating her life.
Congratulations on your prototype. I hope it all comes together in every way you wish it to be. You sure worked hard for it to happen.
Looks like the country is finally experiencing a post campaign koolaid detox. Ofucktard is back down to -10 on Rasmussen and hit O on Gallup.
Hey, PUMAs. Headclunker, I am sorry to see the news about your mom. This is the month of my mother’s death. It will be 19 years on the 12th. Kind of echoing what Freddie said, I’ll never forget my mom’s wake. She died suddenly but lots of friends came to the funeral and after all gathered at her brother’s house. We had set up a cooler full of my mom’s preferred beer and I popped in her favorite movie soundtrack. One of her friends looked at me as if I had lost my mind. I said, “Mama said she wanted it to be a party, so let’s not mope, have a beer and tell a story on her.” Mom was all about finding ways to laugh during tough times. I hope you are finding some comic relief too – laughter is proven to improve the immune system function.
I’m glad to see PUMAland is still here – I have missed you all.
I love this description of ‘The Wild Garden’. Reading it on this cold and snowy day, reminds me that the beauty of spring is just around the corner.
Delle – Spring has sprung in Southern Cal. We have already picked fresh baby salad greens for dinner and put in our first bee hive in a cute little english cottage bee hive. The tomato Nazi says we cannot have our heirloom tomato plants until April as it is too “cold” for them so she won’t ship them. It is hard to imagine the rest of most USA is still cold. Though it is cold here today. It rained all night. Hope everyone is keeping warm.
Hi Freddie. There are things that I don’t like about California, but I do love the weather. I’m glad you are enjoying your garden. I’ve never heard of the Tomato Nazis, but I suppose they are all around us these days. Here is a piece about the Drug Nazis. It’s about Medical Marijuana and I found it quite interesting.
http://classicalvalues.com/2013/03/drug-nazis/
freddiebrown 03.09.13 at 1:54 pm
Delle- Brr..I’m at my computer with fingerless gloves on and furry boots but the windows are open. I like fresh air at all times.
But interesting read on Medical Marijuana – why don’t they legalize it, tax it and cure some illnesses because the Drug Nazis will never completely get rid of Marijuana. We helped a friends mom procure some when she was dying of cancer – if only to alleviate the symptoms.
When I was in San Francisco a month 3 weeks ago, there was a pungent smell of pot around the very busy area at the end of the tram tracks in downtown – its quite common to run into whiffs of it actually.
Sigh. It seems you can’t even eat a plain piece of bread without getting toxins and carcinogens into our bodies. I was researching what is “unbromated” flour when I discovered it is great for chewy bread (which some commercial bread has – but is a potential carcinogen and is outlawed in UK.. not here. Also, bleached flour ? guess what bleaches it..?
Well, its been 5 days and no one has posted anything. Murphy is spending money every month to keep this blog open but no one seems to have anything they want to share. If politics is not your thing anymore, just post whatever is on your mind or just to keep in touch. Being a lurker does not a blog make. Now, if she takes down this blog, we would miss each other, no? Just saying.
Dances, where are you?
168
Delle 03.16.13 at 5:08 am
You are right Freddiebrown. I have also been wondering what happened to everyone.
Since the last election – which was stolen in my opinion – I do sense a feeling of apathy among my friends. I’ve noticed it on other blogs too. Some are no longer active.
I sometimes find myself so agitated and depressed by the things that have been going on, that I choose not to even read the news.
But you are right. This is a comforting place to come visit and if we lose it, we will be sorry. I already miss all of the PUMAS who no longer check in. So, let’s keep this site alive.
Egypt’s ruling Muslim Brotherhood warns that a U.N. declaration on women’s rights could destroy society by allowing a woman to travel, work and use contraception without her husband’s approval and letting her control family spending.
freddiebrown 03.16.13 at 1:29 pm
I understand that several pumas here, come in but don’t leave a comment but do take the trouble to post something a greeting, an observation,a link, anything. If there is nothing new to read, we will all drift away and guess what, we are all to blame for having “nothing new to read” as we are the contributors whether it is substantial stuff or inconsequential stuff or just a joke – crack someone up and brighten up their day on the blog. Should be easy enough to do but lets take the trouble :)
172
gordana 03.16.13 at 6:28 pm
Hi freddie et al….
I totally agree that it would be a shame to let this site go down. I come here almost every day and find it deserted..me thinks people besides being apethetic are probably on
Facebook or tweeting…neither is my cut of tea and so I really miss the give and take we once had. Some of the bickering and backbiting may mot have been nice, but at least we had a place to express our feelings. I sometimes think back right after the 2008 election and the people that made this site so supportive and challenging.
Let’s try to keep it going, if we can.
I’m off to my Saturday night card game now.
Stay happy everyone!
stoney42 03.16.13 at 7:54 pm
Things are somewhat dull here. Politically, the Repubs are having a primary next week for someone to replace Tim Scott, who was appointed to replace Jim DeMint in the Senate when he retired. There are 16 people running. Ted Turner’s son, Teddy, is one. Also Steven Colbert’s sister. Keep getting the usual robo calls as well as flyers in the mail.
Spring is here. My azaleas are beginning to bloom.
My love to all Pumas.
Hi (((PUMAs)))
I’ve been busy, we just changed to our summer hours at work. Of course the same time at the Spring forward thingy. I still check in to see what is going on. I miss everyone too! It’s been busy at Goof’s house but I still never miss reading when people post. :grin:
CPAC just demonstrated thet the R’s have given up the pretense of sanity with Rand Paul winning the straw poll! Yikes!!!
I have become a complete Agnostic politically. :shock:
I work weekends so it’s going to be beddy bye time for me soon. I look forward to seeing you all on the blog. Muah…
freddiebrown 03.17.13 at 1:12 am
I don’t delve that much into politics but it seems in the fashion world, everywhere I turn, I see Michelle Obama as the fashionista of the moment. Big bangs and all.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone!
An Irishman’s Philosophy
In life, there are only two things to worry about
Either you are well or you are sick.
If you are well, there is nothing to worry about,
But if you are sick, there are only two things to worry about
Either you will get well or you will die.
If you get well, there is nothing to worry about,
But if you die, there are only two things to worry about
Either you will go to heaven or hell.
If you go to heaven, there is nothing to worry about.
And if you go to hell, you’ll be so busy shaking hands with all your friends
You won’t have time to worry!
Good morning Pumas, happy “St Paddy’s” day, as we say in the Boston area.
Mr. O’Mally went to the Pub to see the new vat of beer brewing.
Fell in.
The fellas went to his home to tell Mrs, O’Mally of his demise.
She cried and and wailed, she so hoped he had not suffered.
No they said was not to bad, he did get out three times to pee.
Headclunker 03.17.13 at 9:21 pm
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
I have not been posting because all my news is bad. I am just trying to organize to hold on until 2016. Sad to see the nation falling into ruin. Stinkin’ Obamanation of banksters and misogynistic muslim freaks. Yea, this is their time. How much do you think they can inflate the market before it blows? Most of them do not even deny the apparent eventuality, they are just grubbing everything they can up until then.
People feeling the economic realities of O’s reselection are sinking his polls, but we are stuck now. 32 months until November 2016.
Hillaryis44 has been on it with http://www.hillaryis44.org/2013/03/15/clinton-bush-clinton-bush-clinton-bush-clinton-bush-obama-hillary-clinton-2016-bush-clinton-bush-clinton-bush-clinton-bush/
featuring O as a ” just another fad, like a pet rock, a complete waste of time.”
I’ll let you know if I come across any good news. Or maybe just gripe some more.
Now we know why Tiger is winning. And smiling. And, we have to wonder if Lindsey met Preezy a few weeks back.
…Woods, 37, and Vonn, 28 — who, as a striking blonde, [is reminiscent of] Tiger’s … ex-wife, Elin Nordegren — made the announcement in separate Facebook posts.
And for good measure, they posted a series of cutesy pictures, with Woods looking as happy as a horndog at an adult-video convention….
HI to all Pumas..I check in to see whats going on with you all.I miss you all and am happy to see some of you stop by as well. Its hard to post on this site on my Blackberry and work is very busy. I am still dealing with a broken foot, 4 1/2 months now ugh winters ice and snow make it very difficult on crutches but I walked today with both feet on the ground without the cam boot in my sneaker yippeeeee. Suffering more from Ofraud in the White House than anything else. I still cant believe the American people sent him “forward” I so wanted to see him wave goodbye on Jan 20 2013. Geez 4 more years. I sincerely hate the Democratic party and find myself wondering IF Hillary had been elected where we would be as a nation? God there was nothing I wouldn’t have done for her. I am wondering How you feel about Benghazi and her involvement? Many of her supporters have lost respect for her. maybe that would be a way to start a dialogue here? hoe do you feel about Hillary? Anyway I wish you all Joy and Peace and send my love to all (((PUMA))))
186
FLBarbara 03.19.13 at 5:34 pm
HOW do you feel about Hillary now?
187
HP Boston 03.19.13 at 5:43 pm
Hillary…she needs to go along to get along. If the machine decides she is dead meat again it will be so.
I believe she wants to run in 2016, if the fraud can do it with the fucking machine behind him she can too.
I give her credit for being an astute politician, she will be our next president.
189
stoney42 03.19.13 at 7:17 pm
Hillary? I still have my Hillary bumper sticker on my car. It is my anti-obama symbol. I can not help but believe that she knows that obama is not a leader. All talk and no action.
190
Headclunker 03.19.13 at 9:58 pm
FLBarbara,
I understand that the latest story is that stinkin’ BO slept through Benghazi and Hillary is covering their asses. Her involvement cannot be good. I don’t care. I believe she is the only chance this country has for reemerging as a world power to be proud of. I am organizing my life so I will have some time and resources available to campaign for her in 2016.
Run, Hillary! Run! Fuck the ODNC.
191
freddiebrown 03.20.13 at 5:35 am
I am not so sure of Hillary. I wish she had crafted something to say that is so cleverly veiled as to incriminate the Obozo.
Taking the blame to shield the Boss that was sleeping on the job is not the way to go in this instance. I don’t know that her health and her age will make her electable tho I would be so happy that a woman made it to the POTUS.
192
goofsmom 03.20.13 at 11:20 pm
Hi Pumas,
All I can say is “Please run Hillary!” After 8 years in hell we need you more than eveh!!!
We need a woman in charge, not just any woman but one who makes these idiot men quake in fear!! :evil:
