So, all the Republican Rapists are gone. I think I am going to send a link to this blog to the Party that is doing some soul searching now. If they do not think this effected Mitt, they need to keep searching.

I am surprised that the Dow is down two days in a row after Obumfuck is elected. Lack of confidence in the administration and economy?

As Goofsmom advised…we should manage our own individual worlds the best we can and do the best we can for ourselves – and fuck the rest. I am not confident that there will be any change in the world of small business under Obumfuck. I was looking forward to some real economic changes under Romney.

PUMAS, do not be unhappy that Mitt did not oust the Fraud. It is all about Hillary 2016, now. If Romney had been a good POTUS, he would have been difficult to oust in 2016. And his energy policies are not good for the country. Big Oil and Gas are as bad as Soros. Same. Soros’ problem is that he knows how to acquire wealth but he not an effective producer of it. Obozo is the same and worse.

Now we need to take our Party back. Big Dawg has been misbehaving and trying to get himself back in. Benghazi is his Big Stick and we know he wants Hillary to run in 2016. The Repubs cannot impeach without the Senate, but they will beat him with it, too.

We need the Democrats to become the Good Guys again. Shoo to the ugly Chicago thugs and the islamic misogyny.

Great post, Murphy. I realize my opinion may not be very popular but going to say it anyway. I believe those men were simply saying what many, many men believe but won’t admit. To me, the statement from 2008 that was something like “When Hillary speaks, all you hear is take out the garbage” and all those others sexist comments that most men thought were simply hilarous show they have no respect for women, and actually I felt it went further than no respect, but reflected a form of hatred of women… basically, I think they would rape a woman in a heartbeat if they thought they could get away with it. Sorry, but that is the way I feel. Still remember Bobby Knight’s comment from way back when also that went something like “if you’re getting raped, might as well lay back and enjoy it.” Totally disgusting. We simply need more women in positions of power. I don’t see how anything will ever change otherwise… short of cutting all their nuts off.

Gordana (#8). Wood County Ohio has population of 98,213 of voting age, yet 106,258 registered voters. How can that be? Couldn’t have anything to do with it being a straight shot from Chicago now could it?

Article: Dead and Still Voting
November 9, 2012
Thousands of dead Californians remain eligible to vote

“A closer look at the data revealed that some of the dead people were not only registered, but somehow, even voted, several years after their death. Sometimes, clerks say the mistake can purely be a clerical error, such as a misplaced signature or an outdated registration list that hadn’t been purged. Other times, though, the voting turns out to be fraud, clerks say, where family members vote on their dead relatives’ behalf.

Our findings came as no surprise to Bill Morrison of Palo Alto. For Morrison, every trip to the mailbox during election season brings constant reminders of his late wife, Carol Morrison, who died in 2004 after battling cancer.

Morrison continues to receive election materials including voter guides, pamphlets, and even ballots for his late wife.

“It angers me and it hurts because she’s dead,” Morrison said.

According to state records, Carol has voted in the last two presidential elections, despite having passed away.

Morrison has made several attempts to notify the county that his wife died, including sending back her ballots with “DECEASED” marked on the envelope.

“I don’t know why, when somebody dies. It doesn’t go to the elections and they just cross the name off of the list,” Morrison said.

NBC Bay Area found several other examples, too. People like Sara Schiffman of San Leandro who died in 2007 yet still voted in 2008, or former Hayward police officer Frank Canela Tapia who has voted 8 times since 2005, though he died in 2001.”

We all know what goes on, but what does it take to change it?

Headclunker/Dances – Is such a thing possible…? two children killed to keep this under wraps?

18

Headclunker 11.11.12 at 9:10 am

freddiebrown,

I am incredulous, myself. But it makes sense as what they would do to control the MSM and keep it out of the news during the election. Now we know why they do not report the news on BO accurately.

I have preliminarily checked out the source of the lawsuit. Of course I cannot do a full assessment, but the analytical methodologies appear sound. It appears to be something like our FECK team analysis, but of the stimulus money. Most of the information is in plain sight. But it is voluminous/disorganized and may contain some misleading information.

As we got to a point were we needed the FEC to audit the campaign funds, Spire has gotten to the point were they need the courts to get more information and follow up. The guy actually identified the repositories of the funds.

My guess is that the responsible parties will steal what they can and leave the main portions to be returned. Hopefully. Maybe we can get some real money into the infrastructure of the country and start some clean manufacturing again.

What’s this about?
I can see there’s a massive lawsuit, but I do not understand the cause.

20

Headclunker 11.11.12 at 2:06 pm

Bellecat,

It is about these bailouts and how they are being used to extract money from our country. Go to http://www.kcandassociates.org/ for all the related issues. To get an idea of the analysis that is being done, check this link: http://www.kcandassociates.org/pdfs/Levy%20698.pdf

Basically, if you follow the money, the BO Administration has been all about robbing the country. Now, we all know they are doing that, but just how much is the mind boggling thing. $16 Trillion in National Debt and the Bankstered Funds are listed as $43 Trillion.

And the Repubs are complaining about “entitlement” spending.

And the Bobots think BO is going to give it to them.

Obama gave us another $4 Trillion in debt while looting away.

And the F’ers want to raise our taxes

This is very upsetting, if true, not a big surprise! It makes me sick to see this POS steel another election. Isn’t there something, anything, that can be done? Sorry it’s so long………

ROB THE VOTE

Poll watcher sees Romney ballots changed

Witness to voting says he monitored as software redirected choices.

byBob UnruhEmail | Archive
Bob Unruh joined WND in 2006 after nearly three decades with the Associated Press, as well as several Upper Midwest newspapers, where he covered everything from legislative battles and sports to tornadoes and homicidal survivalists. He is also a photographer whose scenic work has been used commercially.

Up to 10 percent of the ballots cast at a polling station in Pennsylvania reverted to a default, which gave Barack Obama a vote no matter who the voter had selected, according to a poll watcher who was a witness to the proceedings.

The incident took place in the state where officials claimed Obama got a total of 19,605 votes in 59 voting divisions to zero for Mitt Romney and not far from the 100 precincts in Ohio where Obama got 99 percent of the vote, a feat not even achieved by third-world dictators, according to Market Daily News.

With evidence mounting that the vote tabulation did not reflect the true choices of voters, talk-radio icon Rush Limbaugh echoed the Daily News, saying Monday: “Third-world, tin-horn dictators don’t get [these percentages]. I mean, the last guy that got this percentage of the vote was Saddam Hussein, and the people that didn’t vote for him got shot. This just doesn’t happen. Even Hugo Chavez [of Venezuela] doesn’t get 100 percent or 99 percent of the vote.”

It was in Upper Macungie Township, near Allentown, Pa., where an auditor, Robert Ashcroft, was dispatched by Republicans to monitor the vote on Election Day. He said the software he observed would “change the selection back to default – to Obama.”

He said that happened in about 5 percent to 10 percent of the votes.

WND’s newest forum is your opportunity to report voter fraud

He said the changes appeared to have been made by a software program.

Ashcroft said the format for computer programming has a default status, and in this case it appeared to be designating a vote for Obama each time it went to default.

He found it suspicious that Romney and Obama were in a virtual tie in most polls, but Obama then suddenly surged ahead by a number of points on election night.

“How the heck does that happen?” he wondered.

He said as a poll watcher, he was not allowed to communicate with officials there, so his concerns were submitted later to the state GOP.

Stand up to fight against voter fraud right now!

Officials with the Republican Committee in Harrisburg did not respond to a WND request for comment.

Ashcroft explained he had been assigned to monitor who voted, and as the evening went on and the local election computer system went up and down, he discovered that some people who had marked as having voted already also suddenly were reversed.

WND previously reported Obama’s success was nominal in states where authorities required voter identification, while he was very successful in states that did not require it.

WND also reported prior to Election Day that officials in Virginia were asked to investigate after a video caught the field director for Democratic U.S. Rep. Jim Moran’s campaign in an apparent conspiracy to commit election fraud.

What will Barack Obama do now that he has another four years in office? Find out in Aaron Klein’s “Fool Me Twice,” on sale now at WND’s Superstore

The video sting by James O’Keefe‘s Project Veritas, first reported by WND, prompted the resignation of Patrick Moran, who is also Jim Moran’s son, and a criminal investigation by the Arlington County Police Department in Northern Virginia, near Washington, D.C.

In a commentary today, WND Founder and CEO Joseph Farah said “without a doubt” the presidential election was stolen through voter fraud and manipulation.

He said the evidence so far has been anecdotal.

“I am convinced that at least 5 percent of the Democratic vote can be attributed to fraud – illegal voters, illegal campaign contributions, rigged balloting, intimidation at the polls, you name it.”

He noted WND’s “own investigation in which it demonstrated conclusively that the Obama campaign welcomed foreign contributions by intentionally leaving vulnerabilities in its web donation page that allowed even those using bogus names, disposable credit cards and foreign IP addresses to donate cash.”

In situations that appeared to be similar to that described by Ashcroft, Fox News reported that voters in Nevada, North Carolina, Texas and Ohio also said they had pushed a button on a touch-screen voting machine for Romney, but the machines recorded their vote for Obama.

“The voters in question realized the error and were able to cast ballots for their actual choice,” the report said.

Joan Stevens said it took her three tries before the machine accepted her choice to vote for Romney, according to Fox.

“This is the first time in all the years that we voted that this has ever happened to me,” she said.

Elections officials said there was nothing wrong with the machine.

At the White House website, a report in the Examiner explains, there was posted a petition seeking a recount of the race.

“In one county alone in Ohio, which was a battleground state, President Obama received 106,258 votes … but there were only 98,213 eligible voters. It’s not humanly possible to get 108 percent of the vote,” the petition claims.

Just a few of the reports, excluding those that are on blog postings, were:

Fox News reported that two election judges were replaced after illegally allowing unregistered voters to cast ballots.

The Columbus Dispatch estimated that more than 20 percent of registered Ohio voters aren’t eligible.

“In two counties, the number of registered voters actually exceeds the voting-age population,” the report said. And, it said, in 31 other counties, registrations are above 90 percent of the population, “a rate regarded as unrealistic by most voting experts.”

Fox News also documented how Senate candidate Wendy Long, an attorney who was a clerk for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, recounted her voting experience. “A poll worker who was at the scanner studied my private ballot and proceeded to tell me that it was rejected because I did not ‘fill in every space.’ She then proceeded to indicate that I should mark the Democratic line all the way down.”

The Market Daily News reported on those 100 precincts in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that on election day gave Romney zero votes, and Obama got 99 percent. “In more than 50 different precincts, Romney received two votes or less,” the report said. “One would think that such improbable results would get the attention of somebody out there.”

According to Philly.com, 59 voting divisions in Philadelphia produced a “head-spinning figure,” not one vote for Romney. “The unanimous support for Obama in these Philadelphia neighborhoods – clustered in almost exclusively black sections of West and North Philadelphia – fertilizes fears of fraud, despite little hard evidence,” the newspaper said.

On YouTube was the testimony of a computer programmer, telling the Ohio Legislature that he was able to write a program that would rig elections by flipping the total vote from the real winner to a pre-selected candidate.

The Washington Times reported that officials in Florida banned observers from seeing the absentee ballots being opened and “there was no way to know whether the absentee ballots that were produced were the same ones that were opened, or if all the ballots were produced.”

Human Events claimed Ohio voters who are native to Somalia were being given a slate card saying, “Vote Brown all the way down” – an apparent reference to the Democratic senator.

The Washington Times reported its suspicions of voter fraud in Pennsylvania, including that “in Philadelphia, the [New] Black Panthers are currently standing outside polling booths, intimidating voters just like they did in 2008.” It said, too, that 70 Republican polling inspectors were blocked from access.

Among the blog postings in support of the concerns, cited by columnist Andrea Shea King, were:

“In Florida: Obama Got Over 99% in Broward County Precincts”

“What Luck! Obama Won Dozens of Cleveland Districts with 100% of the Vote”

“Good News: Obama Won County in Ohio with 108% Voter Registration”

“BREAKING: St. Lucie County, Florida Had 141.1% Turnout; Obama Won County”

“Fraud in PA: Obama Got Over 99% of Vote at Polls Where GOP Inspectors Were Removed; Turnout Somehow ’30%’ Above Gov’t Numbers”

“Out of 175,554 registered voters, 247,713 vote cards were cast in St. Lucie County, Florida, on Tuesday”

Headclunker 11.12.12 at 11:08 pm

gordana,

I am afraid the fraud was rampant in the swing states. If the Repubs don’t fight it, who will? Here in Fl we have an odious Tea-Party Governor. Allen West lost his race by 0.58% and is fighting an uphill battle. The only good news is that there really are not so many people who are stupid enough to vote for Obozo. But here he is and what crap is going on.

I am detaching and watching the soap opera. Boobery, treachery and looting of the treasury.

23

USA is sounding more and more like a 3rd world country with its voter fraud and a President that would stoop to anything to keep his power.
It is so disheartening.

WTF is one to do…

24

Headclunker 11.13.12 at 7:04 pm

freddiebrown,

Do what you can do:
One month ago, 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman. Malala’s crime? She wanted to go to school, and ran a campaign in Pakistan to help girls gain access to education.

Malala has been an activist for years — when she was 11, she worked as an anonymous blogger for the BBC to expose information about her Taliban-ruled area of Pakistan. Now, even as she recovers from being shot in the head, Malala says, “All I want is an education. And I’m afraid of no one.”

In response to Malala’s extraordinary courage, people all over the world are calling for her to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Bonnie Lloyd, a professor of sociology in Rochester, New York, started a petition on Change.org asking Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice to nominate Malala for the Nobel Peace Prize. Click here to sign Bonnie’s petition.

The Nobel Peace Prize has been used for decades to bring global attention to important issues, from landmines to apartheid to the US civil rights movement. Bonnie believes the time is right to focus on girls being denied the right to go to school, and honoring Malala’s bravery is a great way to do that.

“The hopes and dreams of girls throughout the world are no longer hidden – yet there is much to do, as Malala’s wounds attest,” Bonnie says about her petition. “By nominating Malala Yousafzai, these global leaders will send a clear message: We stand with Malala and with girls everywhere in their fight for the right to equal opportunity through education.”

As two of the highest ranking women in the history of US government, a nomination for Malala from Secretaries Clinton and Rice would be a strong signal to the global community that Malala’s fight is important to people in the US.

Secretary Clinton has responded to petitions on Change.org before — last year, she publicly declared support for Saudi women’s right to drive for the first time and credited a Change.org petition. Bonnie believes that if enough people sign her petition, Secretaries Clinton and Rice will take a stand to support Malala and girls all over the world who just want to go to school.

Click here to sign Bonnie’s petition calling on Hillary Clinton and Condoleeza Rice to nominate Malala Yousafzai for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Thanks for being a change-maker,
- Rachel and the Change.org team

How’s your mom doing and are you back in the US?

26

Hey Goofsmom –
My mom’s doing better. Thanks for asking-leaving tomorrow evening..its not been the best vacation overall but things happen and have to adapt and overcome.
Thanks too for your advise to focus on the small picture..doing what we can for our own inner circle of family and friends now that the fraud has another 4 years.

And as HEADCLUNKER pointed out, in the above, we can support the women who have risen beyond their dreams to facilitate change.
Malala for the Peace Prize – a much more deserving person than Obama ever was.

I hope somehow Petraeus will implicate the fraud’s administration for a cover up gone wrong.

I have posted articles before about the wild horses and how they are being slaughtered under the management of Salazar. This is one of my concerns (among many) and it doesn’t get any attention.

Now Salazar threatened to punch out a reporter just for asking about this policy.

30

freddiebrown 11.14.12 at 10:55 am

Delle, You’re too kind. I would call it trickle down thuggery. Obama sets the tone for his administration. Enough said?

Who gets kick backs from the “export” of these wild horses to Mexico… let me guess….if you look into it further, you may get punched out.

I think they should just let Salazar punch someone out so he gets into trouble for it. I don’t think you can attack someone in public for asking a question… there is still a law in the land..but maybe it has changed since Nov 6. Wont surprise me one bit.

Got back home late last night. Phew. What a trip. Mom is still not out of the woods but a little better. I’ve never ridden in an ambulance before but did that twice on this “vacation”. If I’ve ever suspected that I have good nerves and can stay calm – I have confirmed it. Something just kicks in and you cannot freak out.

So good to be back in a land where English is spoken. However, coming into Immigration in LA, was a huge photo of Barack Hussein Obama over the stairs leading into the immigration hall. What a nasty reminder of Nov 6.

Headclunker 11.17.12 at 10:10 am

Deja Vu 2004! George Dubya just got reelected and I had to change my life to survive the consequences. I filed bankruptcy because I knew my civil rights wrongful termination lawsuit would never get to fair courts or judges. And you can be sure I took Citibank, Wells Fargo and such for a pretty sum. I considered it the settlement the courts did not give me. I subsequently left town with my 7-year-old daughter, leaving behind a 16-year-old step daughter gone wild and a deadbeat husband, and filed for divorce.

I have spent the last 8 years raising my daughter, taking care of my mother and working at a job where I am underemployed. I live modestly. I do not use credit and my credit rating is excellent. I dream of solar energy and have filed my first patent. An actual profitable business is unlikely in the next 3 years. 0 has defined my profitability target of January 2016.

Now I know the state of the country has not been good and we all know it is about to get worse. The post election news on the 0 administration is beyond disgusting and even worse than one could have thought. Corruption and incompetence is the rule more than the exception.

And worse still, the only alternative is the Republicans. Did the party get the message? They are rumbling that women are at fault for the 0 reelection. But women are still the answer.

If the O does not straighten up, will the conservatives take back the Whitehouse in 2016? Where is Hillary? What will she do about Benghazi?

And what is it we want, anyway? I recently had a dreadful experience with my elderly mother that made it too clear to me that Obamacare can easily be Deathcare. WE NEED THAT PUBLIC OPTION. We need Hillary and we need her to make this program something Ameicans can love.

As for our banking system and economic collapse, Bush and Obama have made that a possibility we have to live with. But the taxpayer needs to get educated and cut themselves in on the benefits of the risks. And STOP doing business with TERRORISTS BANKS. FUND OUR INFRASTRUCTURE AND CLEAN MANUFACTURING.

It is our irresponsible children who are taking out loans that they do not expect to repay, who are betting on the failure of a system they cannot control. Challenge your concept of money and watch until it gets clear.

But nothing has changed. 0 is 0. Women are the answer. Not as shills, but as included in governance. We are half of a whole and a system that does include us in it’s governance will fail.

Hillary 2016!

I enjoyed the sharing of your story and so similar to mine. The courts and judges are pathetic and I agree with you corruption and incompetence is the norm these days.
I have modify back to basics, learning how my folks and my grand folks made it. I’m working on my old cabins -no mortgage Thank Goodness- and making them sustainable with rain water collection, composting and future solar energy. Own a VW “bug”, gives me 50 miles /gallon and I exercise and meditate to stay healthy body and mind; my Medicare just cover so much.

Too many people on our planet and getting more with the same dilemma, to make ends meet; no matter how and the cost and who gets hurt.
So the state of affairs is challenging…

and why now people are thinking of Hillary when she was the best and more qualified candidate in 2008?

2008 Election Results: O – McCain
Popular Vote: 69,499,428 – 59,950,323

Now, there were 4 swing states taken by BO by margins of around 100,000 votes that would have given Romney the win. So who believes that Romney got fewer votes than McCain did in 2008? We are clearly a country divided.

O lost 6,333,990 voters since 2008.

Just a warning…………

It may be time to take the tax hit and withdraw funds from private retirement accounts before they are forced into long term T-bonds.

The Obama administration is reportedly quickly moving on plans to nationalize private 401k and IRA retirement accounts, and replace them with government sponsored annuities(aka Treasury bonds that the Treasury currently can’t sell to anyone but the Fed).

Delle,,I am hoping your link about IRA’s is not true but non the less, I am forwarding it to my broker who handles our IRA and meeting him next Thursday. It wouldn’t hurt to move it somewhere else..you never know what will happen and when. I don’t want my hard earned retirement to fund the people who live and let live while I make sacrifices to save for the future and watch it re-distributed somehow. I’ll stuff it in a coffee can and bury it if need be.

50

Delle 11.21.12 at 5:57 pm

freddie – Unfortunately it does seem to be true. It really makes me sick. You’d think that after working all their lives retired people would be allowed to enjoy some peace and security in their final years. Instead, it looks like the Vandals are coming.

DWP,

Looking at what the clown brigade did during the bailout (post 20, the Levy report – a must read!), and what I have been hearing about Geithner wanting to get rid of the debt ceiling, all I can think is that we are in for a bad time. The banking system is a house of cards. Seriously, how can a nation run on financial instability? Bush started this and Obama picked up his playbook and expanded it. Idiot 1 and bigger idiot 2. Incompetence and gross negligence of the highest order.

I tried to talk it over with my brother who is a bankster, but he got very defensive. I really do not know who to ask about it but there is alot of chatter about a collapse.

Do you suppose that is why the Repubs were so not into Romney this last election? It is not just the jerks who top this post, but if you look at the chairman of the party, he is a gnarly little dude who just comes across as someone slimy. Certainly they could have done better.

And of all the strange things, I got an email today from a bank in the UK offering me a business loan of up to $50,000. It is all too weird.

I am trying to emotionally prepare myself to be resilient.

I heard and read up about Weidmers book “Aftershock” early last year and after poking around, I get the sense that they were wanting to promote the book. I think I even asked my primary broker who kinda didn’t even respond to it. Let me ask him again..if he knows the book. He is with Wells Fargo Securities.. nice big building and office so he has to know these things.
Will let you know what he says.. Actually I will write both brokers…actually I sent one of my older (not much activity) broker the link that Delle forwarded regarding the Govt. take over of 401 K’s and IRA’s…and got an email saying that the Govt does not own 401 K’s blah, blah, blah…

Seriouly, I don’t know and don’t (at this time) want to over react to these claims…as I see many ads on the link to buy silver, gold, etc.
The thought did cross my mind if people have agendas to sell whatever they are hawking by scaring the public… Better wait and see. I guess I can get ready some coffee cans so I can take money out when need to

64

Headclunker 11.23.12 at 11:52 am

Freddiebrown,

I had a talk with my mother’s financial adviser after the election. I don’t think those guys really know. But he was in defensive mode, splitting investments between bonds and stocks. Everybody is insecure and we all know why. The O administration put a patch on the tire and pumped it up even higher than before. I am doing the math and it says the system is in failure mode. Too many people are trying to acquire wealth instead instead of producing it. The wheels are not turning. Now will that bring about a crash or just continued decline, I do not know.

Maybe the idiots in Washington need to see a few more jobs reports.

Delle, I met with my very conservative (anti Obama) Financial Planner broker and asked him what he thought of the website I sent him. He said he’s heard about it but don’t count everything nor discount anything but at this time, there is no indication of this happening. He thinks extremes like this will not likely happen suddenly and if there are more credible rumblings, definately he would know about it. I like him a lot. The other broker who sounds like an Obama supporter, thinks women should trust the guy to do the investing and just hand over the check every year. He talks like “I can’t explain everything to you, you just have to trust me”. Fruck.

71

Flu season – try to take raw honey everyday. Drink it, eat it on toast. It is the best way to build immune system naturally. I have been using honey every single day for several years.. but I didn’t know the commercial ones in grocery stores were not the best. Now I get the raw ones from bee keepers or just find them in health food stores. It is pricey but it beats getting sick and it tastes so good.
Touch wood, I have not had flu, cold, cough for 4 – 5 years even though we travel a lot. I can only credit eating honey daily.
But damn, I have been burping all day for a few weeks now so have to see doc. Sorry folks.. TMI (too much information)

Three days after O’s reselection, I got a call from a doctor who told me my 84-year-ould mother had esophageal cancer, that I needed to bring her in to put in a feeding tube and call hospice. I think most of you here can guess how well that went over. This doctor not only refused to consider treatment, she was uncooperative about forwarding her reports for a second opinion. Thank God I already had a support system in place for her medical problems. It took a small war to get her properly diagnosed and scheduled for treatment. And get this – I found out 3 days ago that the cancer was localized and in fairly early stages.

And here comes Obamacare. Is it just my perception, or does everybody still employed, including the medical profession, have a “deer in the headlights” view of the national trainwreck in progress? I the near month since his reselection, has the boob done anything successful? Do you think any of the bobots get it yet?

I understand that O is going to hit the campaign trail again, doing the only thing he is good at, misleading. Lord knows he is no use at the duties of the office. So as the brain dead bobots receive their “talking points” for their zombie group think, WHAT IS A PUMA TO DO?

Mocking the boobery and treachery is all well and fine, but where are we going to find a leader for this country?

74

freddiebrown 11.29.12 at 9:42 pm

Headclunker – No one is leading the country on the issues that matter.Everyone is just playing politics as usual. I am sick of the usual PC fights about Christmas and how we should not even mention the word !
I was in Point Reyes, north of San Francisco, small touristy community. I saw signs and notes saying “We are closed for Thanksgiving. Happy Holidays.” I was wondering if saying Happy Thanksgiving is now not politically correct because we are giving thanks to a Christian God ? Don’t people ever get tired of splitting hairs and writing on a grain of sand? Isn’t there bigger and more important honorable things to occupy minds?

I feel your pain of having to deal with your moms situation and a system that thinks someone aged and with cancer should just lay down and wait for the maker. It sure sucks and I would not want to be sent home with a feeding tube and call it a day.

Bill Clinton seeks help retiring Hillary’s campaign debt
November 28, 2012
by CBNews.com

As the political world waits in rapt anticipation for any word from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on whether she will run for the presidency in 2016, her husband, former President Bill Clinton, is busy tying off loose ends from her last run.

In a message sent today to Hillary Clinton’s email list, Mr. Clinton asked supporters to help pay down his wife’s lingering campaign debt from her 2008 presidential bid, offering the possibility of a free trip to New York City to spend a day with the former president to any supporter who donates before December 6. Her campaign has winnowed down millions of dollars of debt that totaled $25 million when she ended her bid in June 2008 to $73,000 as of September 30.

“Hillary would not be where she is today without your support and dedication,” wrote Mr. Clinton. “To thank you, I hope you’ll seize this chance to come to New York and spend the day with me.”

Hillary, who will depart President Obama’s cabinet in his second term, has remained mum on whether she will mount another presidential bid of her own in 2016 but has cautioned supporters that she would like to “find out how tired I am” after walking the “high wire of American politics” for more than two decades.

Her husband has tantalized supporters by saying he has “no earthly idea” whether she will decide to run – a comment that, while scrupulously agnostic, stops short of a Shermanesque denial and clearly implies that a bid remains a possibility.

Early 2016 polling shows Clinton holding an almost-prohibitive advantage over possible rivals in early primary and caucus states.

#70 – Thanks Freddiebrown. I’m glad to hear that your broker isn’t too concerned. Nevertheless, I’m still a bit nervous. Hubby and I haven’t made any moves yet as far as our retirement income. We are just waiting for further news. Not that we really know exactly what we would do.

I did see a report about the planned takeover on another blog, but when I examined it more closely I found out that the information came from the original source that I posted here. I don’t know if there have been any new reports. I’ll keep my eyes open. After all, I don’t trust this administration at all and losing all our retirement benefits would be a disaster. Not just us – everybody.

BTW I’m amused knowing that you put more trust in the conservative. I don’t blame you. I agree in this case. But doesn’t it sometimes feel as if the world has turned upside down?

One of my brokers said he will definately keep his ears open as he likes to know what concerns his clients so I will definately forward him any links I see. I will have to ask if we can put our 401 K’s into our own separate bank account-in our own names. It will allow for quicker access should we need to pull it out. Delle, maybe you can ask around and do keep us informed. I would hate for this to creep up and blind side us.

Just in case there are any PUMA out blogging today that happen to come across something on the Egypt trainwreck, here is some good background on the relationship between islamo fascists and Nazism.

http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=764

The ideology of the Islamists whose ranks today include not only al-Qaeda but also Hamas and Hezbollah, originated with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in 1928 by Sheikh Hassan al-Banna. The Muslim Brotherhood finds not just its roots, but much of its symbolism, terminology, and political priorities deep within the heart of Nazi fascism.

OT

Here’s the dealio…

A couple of months ago, and to my supervisor’s and my surprise , I blurted out that I was going to retire in December 2013. Once the shock of my blurt waned, the idea took firm hold! Now I am determined to follow through on my intention, even though, clearly, it was not thought through. Soooo….

Unless someone has a spare $20,000 to lend me (to be paid back in full plus interest on Feb 1, 2014) in order to buy back three years of my temporary service and to refinance my home to bring my mortgage into retiree friendly alignment, I am selling my beloved RV:

The Mach Turtle (completely self contained home on wheels but faster than a Hare). 2003 Pleasure-Way Excel TD, Dodge 3500, 8 cylinder, 47,000 original miles, 20 feet long, 52 hours on it.

If anyone is interested in either proposition, email me.
Thank ya kindly. :-)

85

freddiebrown 12.01.12 at 3:38 pm

Yaaaa to retirement Dances… but so sorry that you have to sell your turtle. Maybe you can put a sign in the window “for sale” and see what you get in the meantime. There are many people who choose to live in RV’s cos they lost their homes so you may have a good chance of selling it quickly.

I am telling my husband to start his social security early (like now) because you never know when “they” might put a monkey wrench into it and mess things up for those that are now eligible. I am far from being eligible so I am chained – hope it is there for me.

86

DancesWithPumas 12.01.12 at 9:38 pm

Freddie,
No worries about the Mach Turtle. I’ll be buying a late model one next January.
I’m just trying to get things in order and settled during this “transitional” year so nothing is holding me back from the beginning of my adventure after 31 December 2013.

I’m rendezvousing on the 8th Dec with an Arizona friend who is interested in buying it.
If that doesn’t work out I’ll be advertising it on a few RV and Pleasure-way specific sites.

I’d place a For Sale sign in it only as a last resort. Hate publicizing my contact info and or dealing with “Lookie Loues”.

Worst case scenario, I’ll trade it in. Pleasure-ways tend to hold their value and Class B RVs are in high demand. I fully expect to get my reasonable asking price.

http://money.cnn.com/2012/12/05/news/economy/jobs-report-preview/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
Don’t look to the November jobs report for merry news this Friday.

The highly anticipated report is likely to show a weak month of jobs growth, skewed dramatically by temporary effects from Superstorm Sandy.

Economists surveyed by CNNMoney predict the Labor Department report will show the U.S. economy added only 77,000 jobs in November, a steep drop from the 171,000 jobs created a month earlier.

The unemployment rate is expected to tick up to 8%, from 7.9% in October.

According to a separate report from payroll processing firm ADP on Wednesday morning. fewer private sector jobs were added in November than in October. The increase of 118,000 jobs last month was also below forecasts.

I would like to remind PUMA PAC that what we have done here has been and is important. Friday’s horrific national tragedy — the murder of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut — has ignited a new discussion on violence in America. In kitchens and coffee shops across the country, we tearfully debate the many faces of violence in America: gun culture, media violence, lack of mental health services, overt and covert wars abroad, religion, politics and the way we raise our children. Liza Long, a writer based in Boise, says it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about mental illness.

While every family’s story of mental illness is different, and we may never know the whole of the Lanza’s story, tales like this one need to be heard — and families who live them deserve our help.

Three days before 20 year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother, then opened fire on a classroom full of Connecticut kindergartners, my 13-year old son Michael (name changed) missed his bus because he was wearing the wrong color pants.

“I can wear these pants,” he said, his tone increasingly belligerent, the black-hole pupils of his eyes swallowing the blue irises.

“They are navy blue,” I told him. “Your school’s dress code says black or khaki pants only.”

“They told me I could wear these,” he insisted. “You’re a stupid bitch. I can wear whatever pants I want to. This is America. I have rights!”

“You can’t wear whatever pants you want to,” I said, my tone affable, reasonable. “And you definitely cannot call me a stupid bitch. You’re grounded from electronics for the rest of the day. Now get in the car, and I will take you to school.”

I live with a son who is mentally ill. I love my son. But he terrifies me.

A few weeks ago, Michael pulled a knife and threatened to kill me and then himself after I asked him to return his overdue library books. His 7 and 9 year old siblings knew the safety plan — they ran to the car and locked the doors before I even asked them to. I managed to get the knife from Michael, then methodically collected all the sharp objects in the house into a single Tupperware container that now travels with me. Through it all, he continued to scream insults at me and threaten to kill or hurt me.

That conflict ended with three burly police officers and a paramedic wrestling my son onto a gurney for an expensive ambulance ride to the local emergency room. The mental hospital didn’t have any beds that day, and Michael calmed down nicely in the ER, so they sent us home with a prescription for Zyprexa and a follow-up visit with a local pediatric psychiatrist.

We still don’t know what’s wrong with Michael. Autism spectrum, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant or Intermittent Explosive Disorder have all been tossed around at various meetings with probation officers and social workers and counselors and teachers and school administrators. He’s been on a slew of antipsychotic and mood altering pharmaceuticals, a Russian novel of behavioral plans. Nothing seems to work.

At the start of seventh grade, Michael was accepted to an accelerated program for highly gifted math and science students. His IQ is off the charts. When he’s in a good mood, he will gladly bend your ear on subjects ranging from Greek mythology to the differences between Einsteinian and Newtonian physics to Doctor Who. He’s in a good mood most of the time. But when he’s not, watch out. And it’s impossible to predict what will set him off.

Several weeks into his new junior high school, Michael began exhibiting increasingly odd and threatening behaviors at school. We decided to transfer him to the district’s most restrictive behavioral program, a contained school environment where children who can’t function in normal classrooms can access their right to free public babysitting from 7:30-1:50 Monday through Friday until they turn 18.

The morning of the pants incident, Michael continued to argue with me on the drive. He would occasionally apologize and seem remorseful. Right before we turned into his school parking lot, he said, “Look, Mom, I’m really sorry. Can I have video games back today?”

“No way,” I told him. “You cannot act the way you acted this morning and think you can get your electronic privileges back that quickly.”

His face turned cold, and his eyes were full of calculated rage. “Then I’m going to kill myself,” he said. “I’m going to jump out of this car right now and kill myself.”

That was it. After the knife incident, I told him that if he ever said those words again, I would take him straight to the mental hospital, no ifs, ands, or buts. I did not respond, except to pull the car into the opposite lane, turning left instead of right.
“Where are you taking me?” he said, suddenly worried. “Where are we going?”

“You know where we are going,” I replied.

“No! You can’t do that to me! You’re sending me to hell! You’re sending me straight to hell!”

I pulled up in front of the hospital, frantically waiving for one of the clinicians who happened to be standing outside. “Call the police,” I said. “Hurry.”

Michael was in a full-blown fit by then, screaming and hitting. I hugged him close so he couldn’t escape from the car. He bit me several times and repeatedly jabbed his elbows into my rib cage. I’m still stronger than he is, but I won’t be for much longer.
The police came quickly and carried my son screaming and kicking into the bowels of the hospital. I started to shake, and tears filled my eyes as I filled out the paperwork — “Were there any difficulties with… at what age did your child… were there any problems with.. has your child ever experienced.. does your child have…”

At least we have health insurance now. I recently accepted a position with a local college, giving up my freelance career because when you have a kid like this, you need benefits. You’ll do anything for benefits. No individual insurance plan will cover this kind of thing.

For days, my son insisted that I was lying — that I made the whole thing up so that I could get rid of him. The first day, when I called to check up on him, he said, “I hate you. And I’m going to get my revenge as soon as I get out of here.”

By day three, he was my calm, sweet boy again, all apologies and promises to get better. I’ve heard those promises for years. I don’t believe them anymore.

On the intake form, under the question, “What are your expectations for treatment?” I wrote, “I need help.”

And I do. This problem is too big for me to handle on my own. Sometimes there are no good options. So you just pray for grace and trust that in hindsight, it will all make sense.

I am sharing this story because I am Adam Lanza’s mother. I am Dylan Klebold’s and Eric Harris’s mother. I am James Holmes’s mother. I am Jared Loughner’s mother. I am Seung-Hui Cho’s mother. And these boys—and their mothers—need help. In the wake of another horrific national tragedy, it’s easy to talk about guns. But it’s time to talk about mental illness.

According to Mother Jones, since 1982, 61 mass murders involving firearms have occurred throughout the country. Of these, 43 of the killers were white males, and only one was a woman. Mother Jones focused on whether the killers obtained their guns legally (most did). But this highly visible sign of mental illness should lead us to consider how many people in the U.S. live in fear, like I do.

When I asked my son’s social worker about my options, he said that the only thing I could do was to get Michael charged with a crime. “If he’s back in the system, they’ll create a paper trail,” he said. “That’s the only way you’re ever going to get anything done. No one will pay attention to you unless you’ve got charges.”

I don’t believe my son belongs in jail. The chaotic environment exacerbates Michael’s sensitivity to sensory stimuli and doesn’t deal with the underlying pathology. But it seems like the United States is using prison as the solution of choice for mentally ill people. According to Human Rights Watch, the number of mentally ill inmates in U.S. prisons quadrupled from 2000 to 2006, and it continues to rise — in fact, the rate of inmate mental illness is five times greater (56 percent) than in the non-incarcerated population.

With state-run treatment centers and hospitals shuttered, prison is now the last resort for the mentally ill — Rikers Island, the LA County Jail and Cook County Jail in Illinois housed the nation’s largest treatment centers in 2011.

No one wants to send a 13-year old genius who loves Harry Potter and his snuggle animal collection to jail. But our society, with its stigma on mental illness and its broken healthcare system, does not provide us with other options. Then another tortured soul shoots up a fast food restaurant. A mall. A kindergarten classroom. And we wring our hands and say, “Something must be done.”

I agree that something must be done. It’s time for a meaningful, nation-wide conversation about mental health. That’s the only way our nation can ever truly heal.

God help me. God help Michael. God help us all.

The childen who will not be going back to Sandy Hook Elementary School, will now be coming to one of our closed schools in my town of Monroe. We’re happy to open our doors and hearts to them, but wish the need didn’t exist.

This was posted on FB…self-explanatory…

In Loving Memory Of Sandy Hook Elementary Victims

Twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate. Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air. They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there. They were filled with such joy; they didn’t know what to say. They remembered nothing of what had ha
ppened earlier that day. “where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse. “This is heaven” declared a small boy. “We’re spending Christmas at God’s house”. When what to their wondering eyes did appear, but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near. He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same. Then He opened His arms and He called them by name. And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring those children all flew into the arms of their King and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace, one small girl turned and looked at Jesus’ face. And as if He could read all the questions she had He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad. “then He looked down on earth, the world far below He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe, then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand, “Let My power and presence re-enter this land! “May this country be delivered from the hands of fools” “I’m taking back my nation. I’m taking back my schools! “Then He and the children stood up without a sound. “Come now my children let me show you around. “Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran. All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can. And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight, “in the midst of this darkness,” I AM STILL THE LIGHT.”

The POS is being introduced at the Memorial Service. I wish he stayed in DC or HI or K…anywhere but here. Too close for my comfort!
