We all remember when Zero had the Dem majority for two years and he pushed some policies that were rejected, only to push them all over again after the 2010 upset, and again they were rejected. The only difference was then he could blame Republicans.

Dances- I dunno. It seems that there is a lot of facade..The shopping centers are huge,but mostly empty. Very nice stores, many international brands and local as well. By contrast when I was in Hong Kong, they were shopping in all the top brands like it was target.
Lots of new high rises..very 21st century mixed in with traditional but I think they are trying to emulate the west too much but their citizens are still a bit slow in catching up. I am talking about the people on the street.. many still don’t speak much English and many still spit where ever they want. Traffic has all the trimmings like in any US city but many (MANY) do not follow the traffic signs. For example you could be crossing on green but a lot of vehicles don’t follow or abide by it.

Their encounter became tense when the supporter suggested that members of Barack Obama’s administration were disingenuous when they claimed the attack in Benghazi in September happened spontaneously during a protest over an insulting YouTube video. “Read a newspaper,” Matthews said. “Everybody knows it’s all about the video. It’s all about the video.”

Its several many hours and I’m catching up on this blog and the debate.
Just cracking up after reading Murphy’s and Dances comments that they are wondering about being Democrats instead of Republicans (I have to be careful not to word things wrong here..as it can be a sensitive issue..) It reminded me of the Republican nomination of Romney. There was this, I believe New Mexico govenor or someone from New Mexico (woman). She recounted how she has been a Democrat for decades before she held any office. One day a Republican invited her and her husband to lunch to try to recruit them to their party. They figured, what the hell – they’ll get a free lunch out of it and went. Long story short, after they parted and safely in their car, the woman turned to her husband and said “Damn, we are Republicans and we didn’t know it”. I thought it was a nice story. She of course, become a Republican Public figure.
