Anita Dunn one year ago:
“‘The president has a real woman problem’ was the assessment of another high-ranking female official. ‘The idea of the boys’ club being just Larry and Rahm isn’t fair. [Obama] was just as responsible himself.’ … ‘[L]ooking back,’ recalled Anita Dunn, when asked about it nearly two years later, ‘this place would be in court for a hostile workplace … Because it actually fit all of the classic legal requirements for a genuinely hostile workplace to women.’”
Riverdaughter has a long post that is well worth the read on how Lily Ledbetter may as well be an interior design firm specializing in window treatments:
“Lilly Ledbetter does not put the law on womens’ side after all. It’s very limited and you’d have to be nuts to risk your job to put it to use. Employers have nothing to fear. Just ask the thousands of Walmart female employees who have been protesting gender inequality for years and lost another case as recently as yesterday. There was another more important bill on paycheck fairness that never passed and as far as I know, Obama’s attitude was “meh”. The bill failed to pass the Senate this past June. Please note that the Democrats are in the majority in the Senate and even though they no longer have a filibuster proof majority like they did in 2009-2010 when passing the Paycheck Fairness act would have been easier, they still have enough votes to make obstructing it very painful for the Republicans. The Democrats didn’t do it and I can’t remember Obama marching down to Capital Hill to make life difficult for anyone who didn’t get onboard. Wake me when Obama puts as much energy into that as preserving a banker’s bonus. “

Ugh ! What an awful picture up top:
I know someone posted this link a few days back..

“We don’t have to collect a bunch of binders to find talented qualified young women” for these fields, Mr. Obama said.
But President Obama’s own record on closing the gender pay gap is less than stellar. Using late 2011 figures, the latest available at the time, The Washington Times earlier this year surveyed 121 White House employees who were paid at least $100,000 and found that 47 were women and 74 were men. That is only slightly better than in 2003, the third year of the Bush administration, when 39 of the top 121 employees were women.
When all White House employees are considered, the Obama administration’s record dims a bit further. Female employees earn a median salary of $60,000, roughly 18 percent less than men, whose median salary is $71,000.
While Mr. Obama has taken steps to ensure that senior women in the White House on average make as much or more than men, he has not dramatically increased the number of women at the highest levels compared with those serving under Mr. Bush.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says in a new interview that she can’t stand “whining” by women who are unhappy with the work and family choices they’ve made in life and complain that they have no options.

Delle, I did read the entire interview with Hillarys Anne-Marie Slaughter, a former director of policy planning at the State Department who left in 2011. Hillary had made every effort to be flexible with her. In her interview, Anne-Marie sounded rather lame. She said her teenage son started having an attitude and she assumed that it was because of her work and schedule… and this is after Hillary made it easier for her… What teenage son doesn’t have an attitude. She went on to describe her son’s attitude – Monosyllabic and not very engaging with her. Typical teenage son behaviour if you ask me. But she could not handle it and quit her job. The interviewer wondered if she had set women who really wanted to succeed, years back. I think she has and no wonder Hillary was so dissappointed.
But we all have stinky opinions..
***********
Clinton, in the interview with Marie Claire, was discussing Anne-Marie Slaughter, a former director of policy planning at the State Department who left in 2011. This summer, Slaughter wrote a much-discussed cover story in the Atlantic – “Why Women Still Can’t Have It all” – about leaving her job because of the difficulty of balancing her work at State with the needs of her two teenage boys.
“I can’t stand whining,” Clinton told Marie Claire. “I can’t stand the kind of paralysis that some people fall into because they’re not happy with the choices they’ve made. You live in a time when there are endless choices … Money certainly helps, and having that kind of financial privilege goes a long way, but you don’t even have to have money for it. But you have to work on yourself … Do something!”
Clinton added, “Some women are not comfortable working at the pace and intensity you have to work at in these jobs … Other women don’t break a sweat…They have four or five, six kids. They’re highly organized, they have very supportive networks.”

I am still angry about Candy Crowley and her nasty little tag team number with Ofucktard. I sure hope the undecided voters that were watching felt the same and give Mitt a few more point in the polls and ballots in the box.
On fox they called BO the one man glass ceiling.

Freddie,
Enjoy your trip.

Of course Obama still has a sweetie problem. Periodically when we’re down, the claws come out. We get cranky doing nothing but hosting tea parties at the white house. You can put lipstick on a pig or wrap an old stinky fish in newspaper, but we still just keep on talking. You can even treat us like a cardboard cutout and pretend you’re molesting us, but we don’t go away.
The absolute contempt Obama has shown towards women drove away half of us before he even got into office. The record breaking unemployment and complete despair, has wiped out the other half. What does President Eye Candy think he has to offer women? Songs like 99 problems and a bitch ain’t one?

Thanks Dances. I am super early waiting at LA airport
While driving up here my husband was asking what I learnt
At this self def. class. I said kicking men’s balls…. When they’re
Trying to choke and strangle you. But he said it would be
Great if the battered women at shelters get to learn Krav
Maga. Gave me an idea for Christmas. I think I will sponsor
some women who want to take this up or sweet talk
The instructor into a reduce rate to teach a one day seminar
Which he currently does. I think it is such a great
idea. The instructor is Jewish of course but he seems
Kinda not terribly friendly. But of course I can do it
Wimmmen can.

I am so happy that Romney’s polls are up. It was looking quite scary.
I saw only ONE bummer sticker for Obummer on the way to LA.

Edge of Forever has a great article about Obama’s women problem, or more accurately, women’s problem with Obama. http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2012/10/18/when-it-mattered-most-he-fought-for-you/
Obama’s no friend to women. Hell, he’s not even a friend to men, or to African Americans of either gender. He’s a friend to himself, and his behavior functions to meet his own needs. He’s into self-advancement, public adulation, easy answers and actions that give the appearance of being statesmanlike or heroic. Thing is, the people who believe in him, and shower him with the attention and adoration he craves are obviously stupid. How big a jolly can it be to receive the glowing admiration of stupid people, whom you’ve been able to dupe into thinking your nothing plans and actions are wonderful? For most of us, it wouldn’t be much of a thrill.
Thanks for this article, Murphy. It’s great, as usual, as are the comments. Safe trip freddiebrown. Raise some hell!

At Big Pink, moonpluto posted this link of Bill using his “velvet knife”, as mp terms it. Bill is apparently doing a little back-handed speechifying for Obama. http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/whatisclintonupto.html
Is the message from Bill to O – “Don’t mess with Hill”?
I love watching Bill when he keeps his cool, and absolutely throws down on Obama. lol
murphy 10.18.12 at 11:30 pm
repost that upstairs, willya Freespirit?

Hi (((((CASPIE))))) – how are you? So nice to see you! Yes, I received the email from Barbara Streisand. I’ve been keeping them all in the dark for the entire election season. They are awfully slow on the uptake. I am torn between wanting to write back and tell them what I really think and not wanting to be cut out from what’s going on with that campaign. Lost my cool the other day but it made no difference – they just came back with another begging email ….
