Hillary seen as big winner in an Obama defeat
Paul Bedard, 2012-06-06 11:59
With the buzz growing about a potential 2016 presidential bid by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, strategists are beginning to consider how she will spin her service in the Obama administration as a positive if President Obama is defeated by Mitt Romney in the fall.
Apparently it’s not that hard: One strategist said that Obama, fighting a crushing economy that threatens to make him a one-term president, would be left with a legacy of potentially just one major victory, foreign policy, especially if the Supreme Court guts Obamacare.
And guess who will get or at least share the credit for a winning foreign policy? Hillary Clinton.
“He will be left with a skimpy legacy except on foreign policy and that’s only because of Hillary,” said a strategist. “So she can say she repaired U.S. relations under Obama and helped balance budgets when her husband was president. That’s pretty effective,” said the political insider.
Obama, said an official, gets the credit for improving relations with foreign nations in the wake of the War on Terror. But a Clinton advocate said that unlike former President Jimmy Carter, who personally built his foreign policy record through the Camp David Middle East peace talks, it’s been Clinton who’s done most of the international spade work, not Obama.
Clinton has shrugged off a second presidential try, but her fans are talking her up now in part to separate her from the administration as more signals point to a tough reelection fight in the fall.
They see her as the frontrunner in 2016 against heavyweights such as New York Gov. Mario Cuomo because of her depth of government experience and her high popularity.
The buzz around Clinton comes as her husband has been undercutting Obama’s reelection efforts, most recently urging Washington to extend some of the Bush tax cuts because the nation is back in a recession.

Everyone remembers when Obiteme described Hillary Clinton as “Annie Oakley” when she drank a shot of whiskey during the primary campaign, right? Alrighty then…
KARMA, BABY!!
A top House Republican on Sunday rejected President Obama’s claim that recent security leaks did not come from the White House, accusing the president of using the leaks — which detailed the administration’s counterterror programs — to “build up his reputation” before November.
“He’s trying to be like George Patton or John Wayne,” Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., told Fox News.
(John Wayne’s make-believe movie macho! Bwaaaaahahahahaa!).
The gloves-off accusations from the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee follow Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to appoint two U.S. attorneys to investigate possible unauthorized leaks of classified information.
Since that announcement Friday, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called on the prosecutors to get to the bottom of recent newspaper stories that contained sensitive information on top-secret programs. They included reports on the campaign of cyber-warfare against Iran, the U.S. drone program and a foiled terror plot from an Al Qaeda affiliate.

Seeing Hillary Clinton’s wonderful picture up there makes me dumbfounded with mixed feelings (coulda/woulda/shoulda). Unlike seeing pictures of Obama – there is definately NO mixed Negative emotion whatsoever.
Hillary’s ambition past the Sec of State is still anyone’s guess. One thing is certain. She will not be POTUS in 2012. We hold our breath to see if she will be trotted out as a VP candidate. Then in 2016 we will see who the Dem’s will be backing. It is a long way away. So essentially seeing the wonderful picture up post is tearing at our emotions.

Something inspiring from the Saudi woman who went to jail for driving. It is a great read as she has won numerous human rights awards since then. How convenient for the menfolk to put out laws so they can prevent the womenfolk from going forward. As she said “The rain begins with a single drop.”

Freddie
I am depressed. I get depressed every time I see or hear Obama. I avoid focussing on 2008, as best I can.
I enjoy photos of Hillary. She’s an inspiration.

Great picture, great woman!
In my heart she is President Hillary Rodham Clinton; robbed by a pack of corrupted ignorant lead by a narcissistic fraud Barack “Barry” Obama.
If I can dream, I want Hillary 2012

My husband tells me of a woman at our gym that wears a T shirt with huge letters on the back: OBAMA SUCKS
Now she has them in multi colors. He complimented her on it and got a thumbs up.
Now, that’s a woman I admire.

Obama as former aides warn President he will lose election unless he changes message on economy
- Top Democratic aides in Clinton administration argue in 16-page paper that Obama needs new strategy to win voters for second term
- Key to Obama victory is a new message ‘with minimal discussion of the recovery and jobs created and maximal empathy for challenges people face’
Two former top advisers to Bill Clinton have warned Barack Obama that he will lose to Mitt Romney in November if he does not abandon the ‘fool’s errand’ of trying to persuade Americans that the economy is getting better.
In a 16-page paper, James Carville, Clinton’s top campaign manager in 1992, Stan Greenberg, Clinton’s pollster in 1992, and Erica Seifert, a leading Democratic strategist, argue that a ‘new narrative’ is needed for Obama to win re-election.
Carville coined the dictum ‘it’s the economy, stupid’, while Greenberg was the person who identified ‘Reagan Democrats’ as a key voting bloc in the 1980s.

Dances – I saw that on CNN tonight and I was cheering those two and their 16 pages for pointing out that the Messiah is a Dud but then I realize these are two of the many people that are doing the thinking for him.
I also heard on NPR today that the Dems are not raising as much money this time around and they wonder why. Of course they blame the Republicans and their big moneyed friends. But I think it says loud and clear that many have wised up to the dud – no one wants to bet money on a limping horse. Karma Karma ding dong.

I caught a glimpse of the Fox segment called Five. They gay Republican guy was saying “I think Obama should step down and Hillary take over”. Sounds wonderful to me.

I heard on tv that obama is giving a talk on the economy tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if he takes Carville and Co.’s advice.

MoveOn.org’s PAC struggling to match past fundraising numbers
Published June 13, 2012
The political action fund for MoveOn.org is poised to have its worst fundraising year since forming in the 2004 election cycle, according to recent federal filings.
The liberal group recently sent a request for donations with this message, “It’s like picking which of your kids you love the most. I just can’t do it. But I’ll be honest, if we can’t increase our budget, we’re going to have to pull the plug now on some absolutely crucial campaigns.”
::::snip::::
Documents submitted to the Federal Election Commission show MoveOn.org Political Action raised $9.1 million in contributions from January 2011 to March 31, 2012. The group spent $10.5 million and still has $2.75 million cash on hand, over the same period.
::::snip::::
By March 31 in the 2010 cycle, MoveOn.org Political Action had raised $18.5 million. The amount was $14 million in the 2008 cycle, preceded by $11.8 million in the 2006 cycle. The group raised only $2.79 million in the 2004 cycle.
MoveOn.org did not respond to a request for comment.

BO’s Contributions are definitely down. As of the end of April 2012 they had a total $168.6 million with $96 million unitemized. In 2008 that was $265.6 million with $88 million unitemized.
Hello America! Does anyone notice this fraud has more unitemized contributions than itemized??????

Maybe not all of his minions are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. One can
hopewish.Then again, it’s still sorta early in terms of campaigning;
and the economy is in the dumper with so many unemployed without discretionary funds to hand over to one of the 1%;
nah, except for the dimmer factions, most have come to recognize Obama for what his is: L.I.A.R.

Just tweeted your “Hello – Fec link” part of your comment. Will do more tomorrow. Right now PageSix is following me as well as some PA Republicans. Fingers crossed the spark on this will catch.
Well, it is Flag Day, and I’m incredibly grateful for our flag. Thanks to George, Betsy and all. Getting more into watching movies of events leading up to formation of USA. Incredible dedication. Like PUMAs.

Yesterday the Obamas invaded NYC causing havoc. The subways were shut down and the downtown area was closed off for the entire afternoon. Traffic was backed up until late evening because of the motorcade traveling from one fundraiser to another.
I hope the affected commuters hold on to their anger until November.

I was very disappointed to see Meryl Streep as one of the attendees at a fundraiser. I didn’t know she was an obama supporter.
