Gasbags all over* are wishing for a Hillary Do Over now that obama’s support across the board is crumbling like paper mache Greek columns. Long-time pro-Hillary bloggers have been keeping the record straight on the fact that Hillary actually WON the Democratic primaries in 2008 if you consider “winning an election” to be defined as “receiving the highest number of votes from registered voters.” Click HERE if you’ve forgotten, or if a kool aid high prevented you from ever knowing, the facts. That’s right, 17,857,501 Americans (many millions of them us women) voted for Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2008, from New Jersey to Michigan, California to Massachusetts, Nevada to Pennsylvania to Florida (those states sound familiar? Yeah, that’s where the Democratic base lives and we voted like crazy for Hillary).
That’s 272,809 MORE VOTES for Hillary than for Barack.
That number, 17.8 million, is eerily close to the number of American women now living in poverty in the U.S.A. And 7.5 million of those women are living in EXTREME poverty, defined as annual income less than HALF of the poverty line. And the tens of million of extremely poor children being raised by desperately struggling single mothers? Forget about it.
Coincidence? I think the fuck not.
Every woman in America, rich or poor or middle class, needs to go into her polling place on November 6th, 2012 and vote this anti-woman, misogynistic, poverty-ignoring piece of crap administration out of office. We owe it to all the single mothers and poor grandmothers who are literally considering suicide today.
What friggin jokes Ms Magazine, NOW, and Gloria Steinem are.

Yep, the Bobots are crying in their koolaid now.
Did you check out this NYT review of the book Confidence Men? There’s a passage describing the president and his confidence men not only ignored the women advisers, but piggishly talked over them.
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/16/us/politics/suskinds-confidence-men-details-recession-dissension.html?_r=2
::snip::
In this rough-and-tumble environment, the book reports, female staff members often felt bruised. At a dinner with Mr. Obama in November 2009, several top female aides — including Anita Dunn, who was the communications director, and Christina Romer, the chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers — told the president about being talked over in meetings by male colleagues or cut out altogether.
Ms. Romer, the book says, once passed a note to Mr. Summers threatening to walk out of a dinner with Mr. Obama and outside economists after the president polled his guests for their recommendations but failed to recognize her.
::end snip::
Interviewed later, Christine Romer tried to pass the note off as a joke, but nice try. If it was such a joke, why bring it up with Obama later…and indeed why leave the Pig in Chief out of the complaint? Maybe she was soft-pedaling this because she has too much experience with the chauvenist’s thin skin.

TRENDING: Poll: Americans optimistic about Hillary Clinton presidency
By: CNN Producer Gabriella Schwarz
(CNN) – She lost the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, but over a third of Americans said the U.S. would be better off now if Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were president, according to a new poll.
The Bloomberg survey released Friday showed 34 percent of those questioned said America would be superior under a Hillary Clinton administration, while 47 percent said it would be about the same and 13 percent said it would be worse.
A quarter of respondents held similar wishful thoughts in a July poll.
Clinton remains the most popular American political figure with nearly two-thirds of Americans holding a favorable view of the former first lady and New York senator. Half of the respondents felt the same way about President Barack Obama, who received the lowest job approval rating of his presidency, at 45 percent.
Clinton has said publicly she will not seek elected office after her four-year term as America’s top diplomat ends in 2012, shooting down speculation she might run for president in the future.

You know, the craziest thing about the right and left wingnut battles over the cause of the current economic crisis, being greedy business or inept government, is that it is both. The more the factions separate, the more destruction they will do to this country.
I just past the 5 year point with my current job as a regulator under the Safe Drinking Water Act. Prior to that I ran a small business for 5 years and prior to that I spent 20 years working in the petrochemical industry.
Not only are our major oil companies run more absurdly than any government agency, American businessMEN are weak wimps and whiners besides being corrupt and greedy. They have excluded women and minorities to limit the talent pool to their mediocrity and are turning this country into a third world nation. They have organized their business to operate through tax loopholes instead of running them as productive entities. So they blame the government taxes, just proving that they need regulations to do the right thing.
It is no wonder they were so afraid of Hillary Clinton. Yes, afraid.
We need a leader.

Murphy, I love 18 million cracks! I am proud to be one of them. The links and information within them were a great way to start Saturn’s Day.
So let’s hope for the change that a committee will privately steer Obama to one-term it and Hillary then will have the field. She must get tired of being asked. Her response that her desire to challenge Obama was “less than zero” cracked me up. Zero!

“I felt like a piece of meat,” Christina Romer, former head of the Council of Economic Advisers, said of one meeting in which Suskind writes she was “boxed out” by Summers.
—–
(Anita) Dunn told Suskind that the problems began during the 2008 campaign. At one point she was viewing a television ad with other campaign officials and was shocked to see no women in the spot.
“There isn’t a single woman in this ad,” Dunn said. “I was dumbfounded.”
—-
“The president has a real woman problem,” an unnamed high-ranking female official told Suskind. “ The idea of the boys’ club being just Larry and Rahm isn’t really fair. He [Obama] was just as responsible himself.”

We have a very small local daily newspaper. Today, on the front page was a lovely picture of Hillary with the headline – Poll: Clinton most popular politician. Sorry no link, but you may have seen the story elsewhere. It was from Bloomberg News. It said that 1/3 of Americans say the U.S. would be beter off now if Hillary had become president in 2008.
Then, in the lower right hand corner of the front page there is always a Quote of the Day. Todays quote said:
“Sometimes, perhaps, we are allowed to get lost that we may find the right person to ask directions from.” Robert Brault
I think our beloved America has been lost since obama. Hillary is the right person to direct us to the proper path. Hillary 2012!!!

Clinton: Women the key to economic growth

I have been trying to start up a business in the area of Solar Energy. The industry seems to be a big racket and is failing. Of course, any racket these days must include the head racketeer:
http://www.aei.org/article/104134?gclid=CImJ3cHKp6sCFYPu7QodAG0u3Q
Looking at the state of the art of the technology, I decided I could do better setting up a lab in my back yard. So I did. And I have a several projects I am working on. Part of the racket out here in Florida is that you must use a Certified Solar Installer. I had my first meeting with one several weeks ago. He had his hooks in the client and I was asking him some questions and showing him some designs when he bust out with, “Look, don’t come here trying to tell me my business.” It went downhill from there. Thank goodness they had not signed any contract.
What has been coming out of all this is that it looks like there is a need for someone in the role of a consumer Solar Energy Consultant. I have been working with several other contractors who had very much the same story as the first, but at least attempt to answer some of the questions I have and consider the design ideas I propose.
You would think in a down economy, they would be more progressive. And I cannot help but think some of the attitudes I am seeing are tainted with sexism. It seems to have gotten so much worse in the science and technology field. Of course, I am not the smoothest talker in town.
I saw this article in Popular Science and the first thought I had about all the controversy over it was because the findings were made by a woman. http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2011-09/scientist-strange-land
Clinton is right in more ways than you can imagine.

This was on CNN.com IF you ask me,,,,I think Bill Clinton is adding his own fuel to the fire by coming out to “dispel” Cheney’s little trouble making comments. Why bother to stoke the fire when the fire is dead? Unless one sees a little ember, a little ember that may stoke a fires… That’s my opinion……

TRENDING: Clinton praises Cheney’s political prowess
By: CNN Producer Gabriella Schwarz
(CNN) – Former President Bill Clinton said former Vice President Dick Cheney was playing politics when he suggested Secretary of State Hillary Clinton run for president in 2012 against President Barack Obama.
“I’m very proud of her. And so I’m always gratified whenever anyone says anything nice about her. And I very much agree that she’s done a good job,” Clinton, a Democrat, said Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “But I also have a high regard for Vice President Cheney’s political skills. And I think one of those great skills is sowing discord among the opposition.”
Cheney, a Republican, floated the idea during interviews to promote his memoir, “In My Time,” when he praised the former New York senator and encouraged a primary contest on the other side of the aisle.
But Clinton said his wife, who lost the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination to then-Sen. Obama, is committed to her position in the Obama administration and doing a “heck of a job.”
“I think he, by saying something nice about her and the way he did it, knew that it might cause a little trouble,” Clinton said. “I don’t want to help him succeed in his political strategy, but I admire the fact that he’s still out there hitting the ball.”
Cheney, who appeared on the CBS program after Clinton, said he was not trying to stir discord with his remarks.
“I just thought … that the Democrats ought to have as much fun on their side of the aisle as we’re having on our side in figuring out who is going to run,” Cheney said.
Hillary Clinton has repeatedly shot down speculation that she may run for elected office after four years at the State Department, despite a recent poll showing her as the most popular politician in the United States.
Bill Clinton said the polls are simply an example of the political climate.
“She’d be the first to tell you that, you know, the further you get out of the line of fire, the more popular you’re likely to be,” Clinton said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I don’t think you can take that seriously. She’s secretary of state, she’s not president.”
DancesWithPumas 09.18.11 at 6:51 pm
What a fucked up thing for Bill Clinton to say about Hillary!
Could Bill diminish Hillary’s work and popularity and more efficiently?
Hillary *is* in the line of fire! Taking blame for OShit4brains’ failures, while he takes credit for her successes.

Yes, Bill sounded like he was talking trash. Of course, Cheney was trying to stir up trouble. That does not mean what he said was untrue. But Bill cannot say that. Maybe he was just talking trash to keep the subject in the limelight.

Many of you will disagree, but I think Bill Clinton is jealous of Hillary.
I had that feeling a few times in the past – even during the campaign. I thought that I must surely be wrong and tried to give up that thought. But, now that feeling is back.
I hope I am wrong, but he is used to getting all the attention – as attorney general, governor and then president. I think he would like the Clinton Library to just represent him!
