Sharia Law Sucks & so does the Patriarchy

Coming to a neighborhood near you??

“Islamic extremists have launched a poster campaign across the UK proclaiming areas where Sharia law enforcement zones have been set up.

Communities have been bombarded with the posters, which read: ‘You are entering a Sharia-controlled zone – Islamic rules enforced.’

The bright yellow messages daubed on bus stops and street lamps have already been seen across certain boroughs in London and order that in the ‘zone’ there should be ‘no gambling’, ‘no music or concerts’, ‘no porn or prostitution’, ‘no drugs or smoking’ and ‘no alcohol’.

Hate preacher Anjem Choudary has claimed responsibility for the scheme, saying he plans to flood specific Muslim and non-Muslim communities around the UK and ‘put the seeds down for an Islamic Emirate in the long term’.
The former lawyer added: ‘This will mean this is an area where the Muslim community will not tolerate drugs, alcohol, pornography, gambling, usury, free mixing between the sexes – the fruits if you like of Western civilisation.

The campaign comes just months after stickers proclaiming a ‘gay-free zone’ and appearing to reference the religious Islamic text of the Koran appeared in Tower Hamlets.

Women in parts of East London including Tower Hamlets have been threatened with violence and even death by Islamic extremists if they did not wear headscarves.”

Norway massacre anders breivik’s deadly attack fueled by hatred of women.

…”Thus, while he pretends to abhor Muslim subjugation of women, he writes that the “fate of European civilisation depends on European men steadfastly resisting Politically Correct feminism.” … “we will re-establish the patriarchal structures.” Eventually, women “conditioned” to this new order “will know her place in society.”…How different is Anders Breivik than the hate culture and hate media that has tracked women down for their inability to “behave” “conform” and or “agree” with a stringent patriarchy bent on controlling our every move, every action, even our daily activity?

This group appears to be the equivalent of Westborough Church in Great Britain, putting up flyers for media attention. Plus, they appear to be British converts…in other words, typical thuggish male losers/loners looking for a way to be important.

Zee 07.28.11 at 10:24 am

ps- so not surprised that any reported actual threats have been against women…if they went after the British pub drinkers I’m sure they’d get the “thumping” of their lives.

Zee 07.28.11 at 10:45 am

“Anjem” started out as “Andy” and reportedly spent his youth boozing and bonking girls…the chubby young redhead he recruited to put up the illegal fliers just looks like a sad loser who decided no one else should have any fun, either. The real danger, not mentioned in the article itself, is “converts.” Talk about “cut from the same cloth” these men who decide they need to “enforce” things themselves are themselves the problem. The shooter in Oslo, these thugs in Great Britain, and in our own country it would be those converted in prison.

Has anyone heard of “Prislam?” Many thugs are being converted in prison.

I remember one story, in Chicago or Detroit, can’t remember which city, where the guy came out of prison, after being converted to Islam, and demanded the women in his family start draping themselves and obey him, etc. Of course, they kept living as they’d always lived…and he slaughtered them.

We need to start warning women that converts are most likely to have been infected with extreme ideology and should be considered dangerous!

We need a word for them, like would-be enforcers….some way to identify them as the same-cloth problem…

Very interesting post Murphy..

If I were to copy this to my Obama loving Democrat Party friends, I can guarantee they will ask, where I got this right wing propaganda from. Was I watching Fox news again ? That was what I got a year ago when I brought up the dangers of Sharia law encroaching on our shores. The premise was that Muslims that believe in Sharia law was only a tiny demographic and no one will allow it here. Well, you know what they say, a little droplet makes a large trickle which makes…

While I strongly believe we need to recognize the evil amongst us, sunlight being the best disinfectant, the problem I have is the comparing of one evil to another.
My experience as it relates to speaking to Islam and the misogyny has been the “well look at this religion” and while there is truth, the bigger truth is No other women on the planet are commanded to live a life of “invisible” as the women of Islam and the truth is Sharia law as it pertains to women is in an evil in a category all by itself. You may even say to all of Humanity.
Sharia is the law of Islamic countries and the goal is to enforce Sharia Law worldwide and this is a small example of what is not tolerated and what is punishable under Sharia law. It may read as if it is a joke or a lone fanatics idea of his way of life. But the truth is it is lived by millions everyday and its no joke and their are millions of not just fanatics but believers in the law of Sharia.
Yet many ignore it and many categorize it and IMHO both are dangerous.

I have to say, I do not understand this at all. How does their fanaticism entitle them to break the law and threaten other people? Start putting the bums in jail.

Thugs and nut jobs. I knew when I saw that guy who killed all those people in Norway, that they would try to make the case that “Christians” are as bad as Muslims. But that nut was acting alone and will face consequences. Nuts are everywhere but aggression, violence and misogyny are predominant in a very significant, if not predominant, portion of the Muslim population.

I think we very seriously need to separate church and state for national security reasons. Imposing religious beliefs on people has always been bad news.

These are British converts…looking for media attention. The equivalent is the Westborough Church in the US, looking for attention by protesting soldiers’ funerals. These are white guys thinking they’re being clever.

The real Islamic nutcases shoot up military bases in Texas, or mow down their daughter or behead their wife who is seeking a divorce.

Headclunker…yes. Let’s make all proselytizing the equivalent of harassment. But instead, in California for instance, you will go to jail if you mock the Scientologists. The “Church” of Scientology chased one guy out of our country! We’re being forced to be “tolerant” of the intolerant.

Sharia law, a real and present danger.
It will be hard to fight this dangerous plague.
Men in charge and making laws, when is the UK going to raise up and fight these monsters. When are we?

Freddiebrown,
In response to your friends comments as well as anyone else
Suppose a man steals a car in NYC and a Muslim man cuts off his hand, the punishment under Sharia law, would you say that Sharia law was enforced in NYC?
When I speak to Sharia law and suggest that it has been enforced in our country I am often told “how absurd”..so I say a woman in Buffalo was beheaded by her Muslim husband and two daughters in Texas were killed by their Muslim father for dishonoring the family. Therefore someone did indeed enforce Sharia law in NY and Texas whether it be the official law of NY or Texas or whether it is widely practiced. It was enforced in this country.
Muslim law did effect the beliefs of these Muslim men.

As I said on the previous post it is women who will lead us forward. This is yet another example of how. Can we put the world in her hands for awhile and imagine how very different the world would be?

 Dear Barbara,
As my colleague, Karen Sherman, told you last week, we celebrated South Sudan’s independence on July 9th.   I was born in this country, but for many years, I lived far away from my homeland to escape the violence of war.  Now, I could not be more proud to join in creating a new vision for our future – one of peace and prosperity. I am especially proud that the women of South Sudan, who participated in record numbers in our historic referendum on independence, and in so-doing took an important first step toward building their new country from the ground up.  As you know, we encourage all the women in Women for Women International programs to know their rights and participate in voting. You can encourage them too. If you haven’t already, send a Message of Support today. Lend your voice to the hundreds who are sending their support to the women of South Sudan. We already have over 1,400 messages from wonderful supporters like you! I am eager to share these messages with the women we serve, to let them know you stand with them in their struggle for peace. And that you stand for the advancement of women in South Sudan and other countries, as we do, despite the challenges we face. Our sisters need our support; the people of South Sudan still have hard days ahead. Many are still seeking shelter in camps because the violence in their villages makes returning too dangerous.  Violence is still an everyday occurrence, and our new nation lacks infrastructure to provide basic necessities like health care, food and security.Despite these challenges, the women of South Sudan remain as resilient and hopeful as ever.  We have endured so many hardships, yet remain strong and determined to push for peace. On our day of independence, women in our programs celebrated with songs and dancing in the biggest gathering that Rumbek, the city where Women for Women International-South Sudan bases its operations, had ever seen.  That gathering was preceded by an ecstatic night of celebration that kicked off at exactly midnight, greeting the birth of the world’s newest country. As the new flag of South Sudan was raised, I felt a surge of hope that independence will lead to a better life for women and their families.  I believe that our work at Women for Women International, training women to be providers and citizen nation-builders, is vital to the future success of South Sudan. Please show your support for the women of Sudan by sending a message today.  On behalf of the women of South Sudan and Women for Women International, I thank you for your enduring faith in our work.
Sincerely,
Karak Malik
Country Director, South Sudan

Sharia Law
Muslims have been brain-washed since childhood. I believe even those, both men and women, who may question the tenets of Sharia Law and Islam do not speak out because of fear. Even the “so-called” good Muslims in the US remain silent when Sharia atrocities occur. How to we break the cycle that has gone on for generations?

Somehow the Brits have lost it. I can not imagine Margaret Thatcher allowing this. (shakes head in disgust)

It is decided Obama wins CAlifornia 2012..Just stay home people.
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – California has moved its presidential primary to June, consolidating trips to the poll to save money in an election that most voters in the Democratic leaning state see as a foregone conclusion.
Governor Jerry Brown signed the move into law on Friday.

California spent nearly $100 million for its presidential primary on February 5, 2008, when 24 states, nearly half the nation, held nominating contests in a battle known as “Super Tuesday”.

The results of the 2012 Democratic primary are preordained with President Barack Obama seeking a second term, said San Jose State University political scientist Larry Gerston.
“Most people in the state won’t have much motivation” to vote, and state government doesn’t need an extra bill, he said.

More from care.org about the crisis in Somalia that Zee spoke about last thread.

“In recent years the humanitarian crisis in Somalia has dramatically worsened as conflict between various factions has led to all-out anarchy replete with horrific human rights abuses including the recruitment of child soldiers.
Somali refugees point to child solider recruitment as their primary reason for fleeing this lawless state. Militant Islamist groups start by indoctrinating children in mosques, and if that method fails they promise money, raid schools and playgrounds, accost cars at the border, and threaten networks of relatives. Once in the military boys are trained as soldiers and suicide bombers while girls are servants subjected to rape and forced marriage. Currently, United Nations (UN) and certain member states of the European Union (EU), supply the Somalian Transitional Federal Government (TFG) with weapons, money and military equipment that can easily fall into the hands of groups who recruit children into their army”

Ministers have abandoned an inquiry into the rise of secretive Sharia councils that deal in Islamic justice – because the Muslim courts refused to help.
The failure of the Ministry of Justice probe has generated new fears among politicians and pressure groups about the increasing influence of Sharia courts.

#21 FL Barbara,

:(

omg. I spent all day writing a poem about this (still unfinished). After days thinking to myself…these women are trying to save boys…who will be seized and indoctrinated by these monsters.

In the animal QUEENdom, tigers and other animals will KILL the males to protect their cubs. Because they have to.

26

Zee 07.30.11 at 11:00 pm

btw….just had a laff!!! My poem is centered around “Losers” (odd tangent and unexpected thread) and I just read that Peggy Noonan called Zero a “loser” whom no one loves.

27

DancesWithPumas 07.30.11 at 11:34 pm

Zee, how weird. Just the other night I was texting with a friend and mentioned that I needed to make a simple bumpersticker that said “LOSER” (with the Obama brand logo as the “o”, of course).

Zee 07.31.11 at 10:44 am

omg…maybe some of you have heard that Harry Belafonte, of Day-O and civil rights fame, has recently criticized the Zero as having “failed” because he “lacks moral courage.” Well, as I was perusing the various reports, looking for a full transcript, I found a transcript on an interview Belafonte did with Amy Goodman in January. Belafonte recounts that during the 2008 election he was holding back some of his fire and trying to encourage Zero behind the scenes to deal with the banksters more forcefully. And Zero whined, “when are you … going to cut me some slack?”

Belafonte answered, “what makes you think we haven’t been?”

Two bubble-boys in a row in the White House, who had to be coddled and couldn’t take the least criticism. Compare with what Hillary had slung at her nonstop! (And Bill, too.)

Somali Rebels Allege Famine Is A Hoax!

For Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked rebels, the drought devastating parts of the country is being exploited by external enemies, claiming that local Muslims were adequately addressing the crisis.

The Al-Shebab insurgents have expelled several foreign aid groups from regions under their control since 2009 and reiterated recently that the ban was still in force after the United Nations declared famine in two regions they rule.

Hi Murphy! Good to see you!

If you recall, that animal Choudary was the culprit behind last year’s planned demonstration at the White House to demand Sharia Law in the USA. Of course, he put his finger in the air and checked the wind, realized he would meet up with pitchforks and torches and canceled it. They can get away with this crap in the UK because the UK has volunteered to serve as a horrible example of what happens when a country lets multiculturalism run amok. We have UK to thank for the push-back in places like France and Belgium, and Germany has already declared multiculturalism a failure, which it is. Looks like the UK will be the sacrificial lamb and if they are, they have no one to blame but their own foolish lackadaisical attitude toward the concept of One Country, One Law. Hopefully, they will push back and regain civilization before it’s too late for them and they become a satellite of Goatland. Here in the USA, it won’t be easy for them to try this crap. After all, we have our own theocratic faction here to fight them off. The Far Right evangelical meddlers hate the thought of Sharia and far prefer their own version of a meddling, stifling theocracy. But at least they can’t Honor Kill us. So far, anyways. Wouldn’t the world just be a better place if they both neutralized each other?
