LLLMAO

Too bad BO could not stand to wait around and hear what a real President sounds like. I hope he had Bill’s coffee ready for him after the conference.

This just might be the beginning of the end for Obama.

Boy, Bill is busy these days. I got another email on the campaign funds

Dear Headclunker,

There is nothing I enjoy more than good conversation with good people. Everyday, my life and work are enriched by the people I meet, and that’s why I’m sending you this special invitation.

Hillary’s campaign is so close to paying off the last of her debt, but she’s not there yet. Will you consider helping her in this last phase by making a contribution to her campaign? If you enter by Thursday, December 16, you and a friend will have the chance to fly to New York to spend a day with me.

Last year, we flew one of Hillary’s biggest supporters to New York to spend the day with me. It was such a good time that I’d like to do it again.

Click here to make a contribution and you will not only help pay down Hillary’s campaign debt, but also be automatically entered to win a free trip for two to meet me in New York.

From her advocacy for children and families, to her work on health care, to her current commitment representing our nation to the world, Hillary has made a deep and lasting difference for our future. I could not be more proud of her accomplishments and her work.

I know you share my pride in Hillary’s achievements, and I know how much your continued support means to her. That’s why I want to offer you this special opportunity.

Make a contribution today and you and your guest could be my guests in New York. Click here to contribute and be automatically entered to win.

I’ve had the opportunity to talk to countless people over the course of my work and life, and I hope that I get the chance to meet you, too. Thank you for the wonderful support you’ve shown to both Hillary and me over the years. We wouldn’t be where we are today without friends like you.

Sincerely,
Bill Clinton

Good good good evening my fellow PUMAS. I must say this was too good, today. I guess after Obama had a 7-minute meltdown he needed the adult to come save him. It was a different song and dance than what Mr. Hot SHOT, everything of the 90s was bad and I’m going to bring hope change and little unicorns to your lives, did during the 08 campaign.

Hope you all are well.

This is like a comedy. After their talk they were wandering the hall looking for reporters. Couldn’t get into the briefing room!

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/12/10/the-surprise-trip-to-the-briefing-room/?partner=rss&emc=rss

I thought obama was once a community organizer. It looks like he can’t even organize a press conference.

PUMAs, thanks for the laughs. How funny is this, the president needing Bill to come to the rescue. Don’t know if I ever mentioned this, but Mr. Obama reminds me too much of my ex-husband – that’s how I saw through him in the beginning.

There is a poster on NYC’s Craigslist that makes a daily “Over the Cliff” posting. Today’s was just too funny:

good morning delusional obots (over the cliff, YES)

Did he need a smoke? Did he not want to upset Moochelle. Did he just abdicate? Did he run home to ‘mom’? Is he in over his head? Was he doing as he’s told by his handlers? Is he an absolute embarrassment to this country? Was he in the middle of an on-air crack up? Did slick Willy just hand him his ass? Do our enemies see a weak, incompetent President? Was he shown how to talk for 30 minutes without cue cards or a teleprompter? Is he a failure as a leader? Did we not tell you two years ago he would crack up? He is slowly going over the cliff, isn’t he?

Isn’t he?

Merry Christmas and Have a Nice Day

Wandering around reading the posts and comments about this story- well I just have to say that this is the best day I have had since 5/31/08!
That fraud is so incredibly stupid and it is just so delicious watching heads explode on the left and right cliffs!

Thing is, the Post makes it sound like Bill barged in and took over as opposed to being invited by Obama. It also makes it sound as if obama left in exasperation rather than to attend a party… which, by the way, was held in the WH and was to begin 2 hours after obama left Bill at the press conference.

15

FLBarbara 12.11.10 at 11:49 am

LMAO just saw a comment on a blog “finally America has a black President..Again”

My favorite headline

16

DancesWithPumas 12.11.10 at 11:49 am

I love love love that Bill was passive in Obama’s undoing. Obama has no one to point his blaming finger at for, once again, proving his incompetency.
Obama brought his “big brudda” to back him up in the schoolyard fight and his big brother becomes friends and is popular with the kids obama is fighting. Obama leaves in a snit.

17

DancesWithPumas 12.11.10 at 11:54 am

Even then Obama didnt take the CLUE.

The photo of him sitting next to Hillary (looking like the cat who swallowed the canary) wasn’t enough. He needed the Big Dog to step in…not realizing it made his skinny ass look even more pathetic.

Yes, dances..no doubt the WP made it sound as if Bill barged in. Please. The media also ran headlines saying the EPA backed off from smog regulations, when…of course…it was Zero caving to Republicans who aren’t even in office yet!

The powers that be and the last Hopium addictsare trying to pin the blame on congress, liberal whiners, everyone else but the sap in chief.

On a funny note, Wonkette says that the fact that Zero has not quit smoking and is lying about it and sneaking around proves he is too weak and morally bankrupt to lead and he should step down. hahahaha…the idiots who frequent the place couldn’t take the joke and whined nonstop that the writer went too far.

The comment below comes from karl denninger’s market ticket…

Mschemeng said, “Few days ago, it came to me why Obama was elected and why Hilary didn’t succeed. I guarantee that Wall St realized that Obama is just as dumb as Bush was, when it comes to matters of economy and market oversight. He may be smarter otherwise, but look at Bill Clinton’s understanding in this video, Obama can’t come even close. So Wall St. helped elect another dud, and everyone is paying for it now. Enjoy the show!” endquote.
————

Yes, you get it! Too many people think Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are the same. They are MORE opposite than similar. Barack Obama actually had less primary delegates than Hillary Clinton, even when Florida and Michigan were not counted.

Obama’s “victory” came in the fraud laced caucus contests and via FRAUD donations THROUGH PRE-PAID CARDS that did not require a real name or real address.

36

DancesWithPumas 12.12.10 at 2:25 am

Let’s not (let’s NEVER) forget the paid off super delegates…
Let’s not forget that fair reflection of the voters’ will was not in play.
Let’s not forget the awarding to BO of delegates and votes by the DNC-RBC.
Let’s not forget the media’s circle jerk in the name of their man-crush.
Let’s not forget Pelosi punking the delegates at the convention.
Let’s not forget the crowds gathered for reasons other than an appearance by bo that the bo branding machine took advantage of to publicize misleadingly.
Let’s not forget the accusations of racism at each and every hint of criticism directed at Obama (“fairytale” for Christ’s sake!!!)
The caucuses. The untraceable money cards. The millions of dollars by unknown contributors. The lies. The fraud. The criminal who is incompetent uninterested inexperienced recipient of a nobel peace prize is sitting in the oval office.
Gag me with a chainsaw.

Let’s not forget the threats, bullying, Team of blog-thugs hired by the Obama Campaign
Let’s not forget Pelosi’s PAC
Let’s not forget the public battery of a Female Presidential Candidate
Let’s not forget that he only had 143 days in the Senate before he started running for President
Let’s not forget the media cover-ups on the Rezko deals, misrepresentations in “biographical” information in his books, refusal to release his college records, law clients and the dirty tricks in his past campaigns
Let’s not forget the media bias in all of the debates
Let’s not forget his vote on FISA before he was ever elected
Let’s not forget THE BUS he throws everyone under – including the AA community that he no more gave a rat’s ass about than he did the freezing tenants in Rezco’s slum properties that he helped to fund or the constituents in Chicago that he dumped all over in favor of Maytag and Westinghouse moving overseas – just like he has dumped on the rest of the country in favor of Big Business, Wall Street and the Insurance and Big Pharma Industries

I watched the two big mainstream media Sunday morning talk shows and want to scream. On Meet the Press Savannah Guthrie was nonstop Obama fluffing talking about how this tax cut deal was so Obama, tough, pragmatic and bipartisan. Harold Ford, who is at least a politician, defended it nonstop. Poor Paul Krugman on abc and Anthony Weiner on nbc were all by themselves explaining why this is NOT a good deal. Cokie Roberts, George Will and the others insist this is wonderful policy. Savannah Guthrie, so called reporter, was the worst bull thrower. Arrrrgh. If a country does not function inreality, it can never survive.

Clinton Refuses to Leave White House
Installs Self in Oval Office

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) – It seemed like a good idea at the time.

But twenty-four hours after former President Bill Clinton appeared at the White House to endorse President Obama’s tax plan, Mr. Obama is “still looking for the right way to ask him to leave,” an aide confirmed today.

Mr. Obama had assumed that once the former President wrapped things up with reporters yesterday, he would say his goodbyes and depart in a waiting car, “but that kind of didn’t happen,” the aide said.

“Clinton kind of went, ‘Do you have a computer I can use? I just want to check my email,’ and then kind of made himself at home in the Oval Office,” he said. “The President was being polite and all, but you could tell he was kind of pissed.”

After spending the better part of two hours surfing the Internet and watching YouTube videos, the former President announced, “Am I the only one around here who’s hungry? Let’s send [Press Secretary Robert] Gibbs on a Pizza Hut run.”

The aide said that Mr. Obama decided to play “a waiting game” with Mr. Clinton, explaining, “Even the Salahis left eventually.”

But after spending the night “crashing in the Lincoln Bedroom,” the former President was back in the Oval Office, chatting away on the phone.

“He could be there for awhile,” the aide said. “He’s talking to Bernie Sanders.”

BigCatLover – Your post re: Clinton Refuses to Leave White House
Installs Self in Oval Office – if this is true, it must be the funniest thing in the last few days apart from seeing Obama cross & fold his arms (doesn’t he know basic body language) during Bill Clintons take over of the podium.

Hats off to Bill Clinton for milking this situation ever so cleverly and subtly to spite this fool who stole the presidency from his wife. Give him some rope and watch him hang himself is probably what Bill is thinking.

I know Anglachel is not so popular here, so I won’t link to her, but she’s had a great series of posts recently. I know it was a joke…I was just whining I had to look up the link myself…truly, tho, I was so hoping it had some truth to it and they couldn’t get Bill to leave!

Oh, and as far as the junk food thing goes, I’m hoping some reporters ask Zero is he’s quit smoking yet. They’ve been asking Gibbs who only says he hasn’t seen any smoking in a few months, which only means that Zero’s sneaking around. I guess it’s ok with the Obamas if their daughters and the school kids of America start smoking? So long as they’re not eating Popeye’s fried chicken for breakfast.

Wonkette had a hilarious piece on that, but I don’t like linking to there. Even funnier was how much the Obots there whined about how “unfair” it was to attack Zero on smoking. It’s not the smoking, it’s the lying about it. I wish reporters would needle him on it, just to see how annoyed he’d get, admitting either weakness or sneakiness.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/video-helen-mirren-knocks-hollywood-57218

The quote that slayed me was:
filmmakers continue “to worship at the altar of the 18 to 25-year-old male and his penis.”

And apparently she added that the …altar… was “quite small.”

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A federal judge declared the foundation of President Barack Obama’s health care law unconstitutional Monday, ruling that the government cannot require Americans to purchase insurance. The case is expected to end up at the Supreme Court.

At a holiday celebration party tonight at the State Department President Obama said a lot of flattering things about Hillary (He also complimented himself!). Where is this reported? The Hindustan Times, India Times and a couple of other Indian news agencies. I guess I should give US lame stream media time to catch on to the story but I am not holding my breath!

http://www.hindustantimes.com/News-Feed/americas/Clinton-best-ever-Secretary-of-State-Obama/Article1-638119.aspx

There is a growing bipartisan consensus that Hillary Clinton is the best ever Secretary of State, US President Barack Obama has said. His decision to appoint Clinton as the Secretary of State was one of his better decisions, the US President has said. Obama who made a rare appearance at the Foggy
Bottom headquarters of the State Department to attend the holiday reception party hosted by the Washington’s vibrant diplomatic community by Clinton said, “I think there’s a consensus building that this may be one of the best Secretaries of State we’ve ever had in this country’s history.”

“One of my better decisions,” he said amidst laughter.

“It is a bipartisan view, by the way. That doesn’t happen very often,” Obama said about Clinton, who till early 2008 was one of his bitter political rivals.

But she can’t do it all by herself, she needs backup. I think it’s watching the usual suspects spin the tax cut bill just to curry favor with the big Bammer. Harry Reid was just on tv threatening (in his Mr. Peepers voice) to call Congress back after Christmas to pass the tax cut bill. Like they are really going to come back after Christmas. Very depressing.

Don’t get me started on the ‘education’ in America. Since my sons were in college in the 80′s I’ve screamed that colleges don’t educate anymore, they just train everyone to be little corporate puppets. When the business schools became the most popular degrees and raised the most money for universities, I knew our young people were not being educated (to think, analyze and weigh options to come to a rational decision), instead success $$$ became the measure of one’s worth. England has always had very educated people, even the middle classes were taught philosophy, classics and history. Now, the Conservatives there are making a college degree so expensive, it’s bound to affect their education level.

WELL, would it calm your “you are not one of ‘us’ ” to find out that the doctor (internist) that he said it to, was actually an Egyptian-American or is that still too “not one of us”.. how about if you knew that this person is also Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s physician, would that make this person “acceptable” to be his doctor…

Do you really do a check on your Doctors family history before you allow them to try to save your life? While you lie there dying, do you really refuse any doctor who is there to save your life that doesn’t look like he may drive a pickup truck and answer to “Bubba”?

Apparently, Holbrooke’s surgeon is Pakistani and that may be why the mixup of the story in the press. One could suspect that a Pakistani would have a dog in the fight over the Afghan war (or not depending on family ties, etc.), so no need to scream and yell. Just call out the rush to judgment.

127

BigCatLover 12.15.10 at 12:11 pm

Following Holbrooke’s death, The Washington Post, citing his family members, reported that the veteran diplomat had told his physician just before surgery on Friday to “stop this war.”

But on Tuesday a fuller account of the tone and contents of his remarks emerged.

As Dr. Jehan El-Bayoumi was attending to Holbrooke in the emergency room at George Washington University Hospital, she told him to relax and asked what she could do to comfort him, according to an aide who was present. Holbrooke, who was in severe pain, said jokingly that it was hard to relax because he had to worry about the difficult situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

El-Bayoumi, an Egyptian-American internist who is Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s physician, replied that she would worry for him. Holbrooke responded by telling her to end the war, the aide said.

The aide said he could not be sure of Holbrooke’s exact words. He emphasized Tuesday that the comment was made in painful banter, rather than as a serious exhortation about policy. Holbrooke also spoke extensively about his family and friends as he awaited surgery by Farzad Najam, a thoracic surgeon of Pakistani descent.

Dear Friends of the Alice Paul Institute,

Exciting news from Washington today!!!

CONTACTS:
Menendez Press Office 202-224-4744

MENENDEZ TAKES THE SENATE LEAD ON EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT
Equal protection under the law for women has never been added to the Constitution
Companion bill in House sponsored by Rep. Maloney

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) today introduced the Equal Rights Amendment in the Senate, taking the baton on this landmark women’s equality legislation from the late Senator Edward Kennedy. The ERA would add a simple 52 word amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing equal rights under the law, regardless of gender.

As a Constitutional amendment, the ERA would require Congressional passage and ratification by 38 states. Companion legislation in the House of Representatives has been introduced by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (NY-13), a long-time sponsor of the ERA. The Senate version is co-sponsored by Senators Tom Harkin (D-IA), John Kerry (D-MA), Carl Levin (D-MI), Joseph Lieberman (I-CT), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and Christopher Dodd (D-CT).

“Most people are surprised when they find out that, in the 21st Century, American women still are not constitutionally guaranteed equal rights under the law,” said Menendez. “It’s a sign of the great advancements made in public attitudes, but also of the distance we still must go to ensure that women’s rights continue to advance and never backslide. It is time to bring our laws in line with our times by guaranteeing equality for women.”

“Though women have a significant patchwork of legal protections today, nothing compares to protection under the U.S. Constitution,” Rep. Maloney said. “These 52 words, when passed by Congress and ratified by 38 states, would ensure women’s rights as nothing else would. I’m grateful that Senator Menendez, a like-minded man, is re-introducing the Equal Rights Amendment in the Senate, as I have already done in the House.”

The Equal Rights Amendment dates back to 1848, and in 1970, it passed Congress and was ratified by 35 of 38 states necessary to amend the Constitution.

A few of the ways the amendment would guarantee the equal rights of men and women are:

Clarifying the legal status of sex discrimination for the courts by making sex a suspect category subject to strict judicial scrutiny, similar to race, religion, and national origin.

Guaranteeing equal footing for women in the legal systems of all 50 states.

Ensuring that government programs and federal resources benefit men and women equally.

Fact sheet on the ERA, from the office of Rep. Maloney: http://maloney.house.gov/documents/women/era/AUGUST%2012%20Facts%20About%20the%20ERA%20in%20the%20111th%20Congress.pdf

Senate Dem leader drops nearly $1.3T spending bill

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrats controlling the Senate abandoned on Thursday a huge catchall spending measure combining nearly $1.3 trillion worth of unfinished budget work, including another $158 billion for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The 1,924-page bill collapsed of its own weight after an outcry from conservatives who complained it was stuffed with more than $8 billion in homestate pet projects known as earmarks and wrapped together 12 bills into a single foot-tall piece of legislation that Democrats had hoped to pass with just a couple of days’ worth of debate.

UN votes to name alleged rapists in war
(AP) – 1 hour ago

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council voted unanimously Thursday to name and shame individuals and parties to armed conflict that are “credibly suspected” of committing rape or other forms of sexual violence.

The council said it intends to use the list, to be compiled by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, “for more focused United Nations engagement with those parties,” including imposing targeted sanctions.

The resolution adopted by the council reiterates deep concern that despite its repeated condemnation, rapes and attacks on women and children caught in conflict continue to occur “and in some situations have become systematic and widespread, reaching appalling levels of brutality.”

The council action follows the rape of 303 civilians — 235 women, 13 men, 52 girls and 3 boys — in 13 villages in eastern Congo between July 30 and Aug. 2. Even in the conflict-wracked region, where rape has become a daily hazard and some women have been sexually assaulted repeatedly over the years, the numbers released by the U.N. were shocking.

Margot Wallstrom, the U.N. envoy trying to combat sexual violence in conflict, welcomed the adoption of the resolution, saying the new system of monitoring and accountability should “shatter the vicious cycle of impunity for wartime sexual violence.”

#159 – Nothing online about it yet… Saying prayers…

162

goofsmom 12.17.10 at 12:43 am

#160 – Oh thank goodness, no one was injured!

163

Zee 12.17.10 at 1:52 am

Yes, goofs…added pressures of holidays onto the challenging, demoralizing conditions of our times makes me worried for all.

Our stupid bank has DOUBLE doors to get in and out now. Singly. Everyone has to wait in quadruplet. Guilty until proven innocent…our country is upside down.

164

goofsmom 12.17.10 at 2:10 am

Zee,

#163 – Yes, I understand what you are saying. I read early that they just started doing random bag searches on the NY subway and Washington Metros.

165

goofsmom 12.17.10 at 2:11 am

 Earlier, I read earlier…

166

Zee 12.17.10 at 2:45 am

Oh, they did that in Boston, too, and had dogs. I approve of the dogs. They can station dogs everywhere…in dogs I trust. ;)

Exposure on the Today Show. Wow. Congratulations.

177

freddiebrown 12.17.10 at 10:31 pm

Thank you Big Cat – It is nice to design something that did very well for a lot of stores – we are just two monkeys and Fred. Oh, even tho it was selling at the appointed e-commerce site for in-expensive, it is also being sold at the Ritz Carlton in NY for probably a lot more (One customer had a lot of high end gift stores in high end hotels so I was tickled to be at the Ritz). Fred just says yawn..lets go walk.

I wanted to post to the few people that sent in their addresses in that I have sent a small box but sorry was too busy to put in a note – I wanted it to go out today so that it reaches everyone by Wednesday so it was sent 3 day ground. Pls look out for it on Dec 22.

Goofs I got your mail.

That’s why pets are so great, they keep you grounded.

180

goofsmom 12.17.10 at 11:08 pm

BigCat,

# 179 – Yes, pets do. I’ve been holding off putting up the Christmas tree because Goof likes to climb it.

On that note… Funny vid to share…

BigCat,

Me too, He acts just like Goof, or vice versa! That is why my cat is named Goof because he is a little goofball. Makes me laugh every day!

183

BigCatLover 12.17.10 at 11:28 pm

Enjoy him, my cat has gotten a little subdued since she got older but still has her moments. Goodnight.

invalidresponse 12.18.10 at 12:04 pm

****Breaking News****

Cloture vote clears with 63 votes they have turned the end of DADT over to Obama, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates and Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, to the required certification that the repeal with not harm military readiness etc. Then a 60 day delay after that certification the 17 year old government forced discrimination.

————————–
I suspect the repubs will blast this apart at the very first chance they get…it is more than likely a done deal. Let’s see if the republicanOfraud pretendadant has more shit to dump, the scumsucker. Since it was DADT passed with Clinton they will also not miss the chance to dump on him………….

freddiebrown 12.18.10 at 2:33 pm

Hey FlBarbara -
So glad to hear of you were able to be up and about doing good as always.
If you ever need “stuff” to brighten someone’s day for no reason other than to see them have something pretty and be momentarily happy, let me know. I know when I was a teen, I wanted and didn’t have so now I can supply and you can deliver. HO Ho ho.

197

invalidresponse 12.18.10 at 3:30 pm

**** BREAKING NEWS****
What this long over due DADT vote today really means:
“Don’t ask, Don’t tell” is officially no longer a law, (after Obama signs it) it is a military “policy” again, this policy can now end 60 days after the President, the Defense Secretary, and the Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff say it is no longer a military “policy”.

Want to take bets on how long it will take before it IS ACTUALLY dead, now that the bulk of the American people (read political pressure) think it is over??

Final vote count 65/31

Although not finished, this is a good day, a day that (although there are many more ways) in this one instance the federal government tells it’s citizens that Gays and Lesbians are not “less than”. WHEN this Policy is actually gone the government will now be saying that Gays and Lesbians are now “worthy” to fight and die for their country. Perhaps one day that same government will also say that they deserve all the rights and privileges other citizens take for granted, yes those same rights and privileges they are now allowed to fight and die for.

Today is a good day.
