Obama to use teleprompter for Hindi speech

Namaste India! In all likelihood that will be silver-tongued Barack Obama’s opening line when he addresses the Indian parliament on Monday evening. But to help him pronounce Hindi words correctly will be a teleprompter which the US president uses ever so often for his hypnotising speeches.
According to parliament sources, a technical team from the US has helped the Lok Sabha secretariat install textbook-sized panes of glass around the podium that will give cues to Obama on his prepared remarks to 780 Indian MPs on the evening of Nov 8.
It will be a 20-minute speech at Parliament House’s Central Hall that has been witness to some historic events, including first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s “tryst with destiny” speech when India became independent.
Obama will make history for more than one reason during the Nov 6-9 visit. This will be the first time a teleprompter will be used in the nearly 100-feet high dome-shaped hall that has portraits of eminent national leaders adorning its walls.
Indian politicians are known for making impromptu long speeches and perhaps that is why some parliament officials, who did not wish to be named, sounded rather surprised with the idea of a teleprompter for Obama.
“We thought Obama is a trained orator and skilled in the art of mass address with his continuous eye contact,” an official, who did not wish to be identified because of security restrictions, said.

Oooops! It looks like Mumbai got a taste of the same, inconsiderate, detached, Self-Absorbed Obamas we all know and wince about.
‘Coz not since 26/11, has South Mumbai been witness to such drama over security, such isolation of Colaba and Nariman Point, even Fountain, Metro, Mahapalika Marg and CST, all of which President Barack Obama fleetingly visited in his whistlestop trip to Mumbai. The governments central and state may say what they want, but Obama’s visit has left a bitter aftertaste in the mouth of the Mumbaikar who is accustomed to sweetness around this time of the year because of the sacrifices the city had to make over Diwali to accommodate this guest. True, he is the President of the US, arguably the most powerful man on earth, but so what – how does that matter to us, people felt, and why should our festival be ruined?

If so, you can’t blame her. The wave of downbeat chatter about Obama includes supporters talking about a failed presidency and making references to Jimmy Carter, which is the kiss of death.

The Only Question Left: Will The Detox Party Win And Dump Obama?
There’s really only one question left after the midterm elections: Will Democrats who are rapidly joining the Detox Party win or will Obama Dimocrats win?
Obama Dimocrats are fighting to continue their serpentine grip on the Dimocratic Party – that is what the Nancy Pelousy fight is all about. It does not make sense to have an extremely unpopular leader in the Senate (Harry Reid) and an even more unpopular leader in the House of Representatives (Nancy Pelosi). Nancy Pelousy in particular forced votes on House members which killed them (such as Cap and Trade). She is guilty of losing the House majority because she pushed very bad legislation. Instead of dumping her Obama Dimocrats need to keep her in position to retain power.
The idiot left of the “creative class” are so stupid (yup, we mean the DailyKooks via Haiku Bowers) they are supporting the very structure that has repeatedly spat at them. The “logic” these “creative class”, very well educated but supremely stupid, clowns employ is that Nancy is a “true progressive” and they must fight for her. Putting aside the health scam legislation which betrayed the pro-choice community and any chance of real health care reform (in favor of Big PhaRma and Big Insurance profits), why bother supporting an establishment that has repeatedly spit on you? The NothingLeft “creative class” types are so debased that all they have left is a strategy to support the establishment which has so utterly failed them.

U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange ruled Monday morning in Oklahoma City following a brief hearing. It prevents the state election board from certifying the results of Tuesday’s general election in which the amendment was approved by 70 percent of the voters.

Voter mays be uninformed and therefore stupid but here’s an example of why: the President of the Third Way, supposedly a group of moderate dems, was on Washington Journal this morning and half the stuff out of his mouth made no sense. He first said that Pelosi, Hoyer and Clyburn would all move down a slot in the House now. Wrong, wrong wrong. Pelosi is still #1, Hoyer #2 and Clyburn is #3 in their position in the dem party, but the whole party is now the minority party, not the majority. Half the pundits on the air are saying this nonsense. Then he told a caller who was said she was a moderate but upset that the single payer option was eliminated from the health care bill. He told her no matter whether she was for the single payor or not, she was a liberal. What?
And the other headline about high deductibles mean people will not seek preventative services is absolutely accurate. I wondered when someone would point out to the brain dead dems that while we may not be dropped for pre-existing conditions, we will be charged huge premiums and deductibles for them, still making unaffordable for them to buy the insurance. Same result in the end.

It’s over 12 hours later, Pentagon and NORAD are denying launch. Even if it was from a sub, it’s impossible to have a “oops” launch. 2 launch keys are required for any kind of missile launch from sub or ship, and one of them is carried on the Captains person at all times. So for a military “oops” to happen it would take two people to turn those keys at exactly the same time. I don’t buy it.

Shepard Smith was all over the ‘accidental mystery but don’t worry’ missile off Calif on his show today. He said if they would just acknowledge that the details are classified, but instead they profess to know nothing about it, but say there’s no problem. Incompetence or bad liars, either way that’s a problem.
