CNN’s Romans Includes Criticism of ‘Anti-Business’ Obama

The news media have often taken President Barack Obama’s side against banks, portraying bankers as the villains. But that was not the case on “American Morning” Jan. 22.

clintondem must be reading the election threads so I will mention what David Brooks said on PBS tonight. He said the dems in Congress are in a complete panic for the 2010 election and it’s every dem for him/herself.

Its a sliding door. He’s slithering underneath it. I think. There’s a water pipe on the side of the pantry and the hole around the pipe was huge. I sealed that up.

My other problem is that he was hitting my fruit bowl on the kitchen table. I put the fruit it the frig, but now I don’t have as much fruit at one time. I’m a big smoothie person. I want my fruit bowl back.

He also started eating my fingerling potatoes in the veggie bowl. I want my kitchen back.

I did find the possum entry point and sealed that. Haven’t seen a possum in a month.

Hopefully the cat and dog will get along. The dog won’t be a problem, he even likes the rabbits. I see one on the web at my local shelter that likes dogs, and looks very long, an indoor/outdoor. I will call tomorrow.

Well this year, they went out there, so I heard, with all their Obama signs in tow and apparently, our chair, who’d never been to an MLK event before gave a comment to the media about how the Democrats always remember this day… It was all I could do not to absolutely strangle her.

Yesterday, while I was preparing for my women’s studies class, I was reading this whole thing about efforts that African American women made back in the late 1800s and early 1900s to desegregate women’s societies and how the first of those efforts were made in Memphis when 4 African American women were invited to be keynote speakers at an all white women’s conference in Memphis. So I wrote another piece about why I hate Obama and how he completely ignored the 40th anniversary of the assassination of MLK in order to go appeal to an all white upper class audience while claiming to be from “the south side of chicago”

That’s what makes me so angry, that this party chair would pontificate about how Obama is the living embodiement of MLK’s dream. Please!

Secondly, this guy got up and was almost CRYING about the Plutocracy that was coming because of the supreme court ruling and how we should all be more motivated than ever to work for Democrats, by making phone calls, donating money, talking to people every day, in order to combat the supreme court ruling. Here’s the thing. I’m not motivated. If these people wanted to be motivated. They should have been motivated when they had the opportunity to elect presidents who maybe would have put justices on the court who weren’t so sympathetic to the supposed “first amendement rights of corporations.” It’s a little too damn late for that, now. Besides, it was almost humorous when I heard one Republican say that “now we have a fair playing ground against someone who was given over 750 million dollars to run for president on and we don’t even know where a lot of that money came from”

I don’t know if y’all read or heard, but in the irony of all of this regarding corporations being able to buy up media time and put whatever political stuff, they want, out there, Air America Radio went off the air yesterday afternoon. very very interesting.

I guess we should count our blessings that we don’t live in Uganda…

Don’t know about you DWP, but listening to these old tunes and particularly that video of Chris W., gives me sort of a bittersweet feeling. It was certainly sweet that I was around and witness at the times and places I was, but bittersweet that many younger lesbians don’t even know who these women are or what they did for both women in music, when women were still very much the minority players in that industry (& lesbian artists particularly unheard of), and more importantly what they did for the community as a result of their fearlessness in writing and performing songs for women about women and women loving women, or in Chris’s case as she pointed out in the video, maybe somewhat a result of their naivete. They certainly paved a way for Indigos and others to follow.

Great trip down memory lane.

Yes, BCL, they do give money and other services through their “missions” as a means of gaining influence, but worse, they spread a form of Christianity which teaches that LGBT people are an abomination and should be put to death.

And it’s not limited to Uganda, they are doing it in many third-world countries. Uganda is just the first country that is now contemplating life imprisonment or death as a result of their efforts. If they aren’t stopped, it will spread.

Obama tries to reassure the woman that the White House has seniors’ economic needs in mind: “We never forget seniors because they vote at very high rates. Not to mention that you changed our diapers.” (2:35 p.m.)
