The Obama Campaign Finances: A Matter Under Review

Fully 34% of the donations received by the Obama Campaign were from Mystery Donors. That’s more than a THIRD OF THE TOTAL raised. By comparison, less than 3% of donations to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and John McCain’s campaign came from unverifiable sources. Three quarters of a billion dollars was spent on the Election Campaign  of  Barack Obama.  More than a year after the election and the Obama Presidential Campaign  has accounted for less than half a billion in contributions.  There are currently $259 million in campaign contributions listed as  “Unitemized Donors.” There have been 41 revisions made by the Obama campaign to the 19  campaign  finance reports due to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).  All of the campaign finance reports filed with the FEC during the  election  have been revised, some multiple times, and they still fail to give an  accurate accounting, showing obvious discrepancies and a lack of  compliance to campaign funding regulations, such as: Duplicate records, multiple variations in contributor names and  addresses, mixed contributor categories, negative contributions and millions in  over-limit donations remain listed in the FEC records.  Who will demand accountability? Not mandatory for candidates campaigning with private financing, an  audit  for cause is within the authority of the Federal Election Commission.  Yet there is no sign of any such action on their part. Americans must speak  for ourselves.  An active, open complaint is currently in progress at the FEC as Matter Under Review (MUR) 6142. This MUR was initiated in late 2008 and has been recently updated with issues of continued abuse of the federal campaign  >> finance regulations by the Obama Administration.

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill
3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with
particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was
frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed
might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard
or expected..

To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications
is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying.. The law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.

The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of business and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical devices will be strictly
controlled.

However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In fact,
I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government that
has ever occurred, or even been contemplated. If this law or a similar one
is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the
United States will effectively have been destroyed.

The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S. Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American people and the businesses they own. The irony is that the Congress doesn’t have any authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with. I defy anyone to read the text of the U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress to regulate health care.

This legislation also provides for access by the appointees of the Obama administration of all of your personal healthcare information, your personal financial information, and the information of your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a direct violation of the specific provisions of
the 4th Amendment to the Constitution protecting against
unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide.
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance or if you have private insurance that is not deemed “acceptable” to the “Health Choices Administrator” appointed by Obama there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a “tax” instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due process clause of the 5th Amendment.
However, that doesn’t work because since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property without the “due process of law.

So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so much out of the original ten in the Bill of Rights that are effectively nullified by this law. It doesn’t stop there though. The 9th Amendment that provides: “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people;” The 10th Amendment states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by
the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Under the provisions of this piece of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to control.

I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation” to support the Constitution. If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for this legislation or anything like it without feeling I was violating that sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway I would hope the American people would hold me accountable.

AP source: Union: White House bends on health tax

WASHINGTON – A union official says labor leaders have agreed to a tax on high-cost health insurance plans as part of the health care overhaul bill after the White House made concessions including taxing plans valued above $24,000 instead of $23,000 for families.

The tentative deal would exempt collective bargaining contracts, state and local workers and voluntary employee benefit associations through Jan. 1, 2018. The cost of dental and vision plans would not be counted.

The deal between the White House and labor is being reviewed by congressional leaders. It represents a major breakthrough in talks to finalize President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement was not final.

WASHINGTON (AP) – A spokesman for the American Red Cross says the aid organization has run out of medical supplies in Haiti.

Red Cross spokesman Eric Porterfield said Wednesday that the small amount of medical equipment and medical supplies that were available in Haiti has been distributed.

The Red Cross is sending more medical supplies to Haiti, but Porterfield says he does not know when they will arrive.

Porterfield says he doesn’t know if the depletion of medical supplies is preventing victims in critical condition from being treated.

A devastating earthquake struck the Caribbean nation on Tuesday.

I was in Haiti twice in the 1970′s. While I was there, I had the reality of what it meant to live in Porte Prince demonstrated by a ride on a motorcycle through the superslum that ran for 10 miles in each direction. All houses were one room about 6′ by 6′. Most houses had 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 people living in them. The houses had one door and two windows that were just open holes. Many were made of Coca Cola cans sliced and flattened and then stuck to each other. The distance between the house was inches or at most a foot. Millions of people lived in this slum.

The lane that ran between the houses could accommodate a car just barely. There was an open ditch, really just a rut, running down one side of the lane and that was the sewer. You could see people using the open sewer to wash the dirt off of vegetables and to pee and shit in.

In our house,we filled the kitchen sink with water and then put in a tablespoon of bleach to prepare all of the vegetables which were then soaked in that water, including lettuce and cabbage – note – not just vegetables with skins like potatoes. You never ate any food that we did not cook, including restaurant food that was not served hot enough to be steaming.

I don’t know if I could do anything that was against my own religious beliefs, so I guess it’s reasonable to me that a doctor might be allowed to defer his/her duties to other doctors that have no religious objections. I don’t think women would have to go without the treatment they seek…This sounds like the distortion of negative campaigning. I don’t know.

How do you see this working out? A rape victim comes to a hospital. Her attacker broke her leg and she is bleeding and has concussion. Brown’s amendment says the hospital can ‘refer her to another facility’. She is supposed to go somewhere else before she can get her injuries attended to? Or the first hospital can treat her injuries (taking valuable hours) and THEN tell her they have not given any emergency conception and she will have to go elsehwere for that?

Someone whoh has religious objections to emergency contraception should get another job.

I don’t see it as an ideal situation, but emergency contraception is not first aid. Plus, I don’t think an entire emergency room staff would have religious objections, so wouldn’t a doctor probably be available at most hospitals? It seems like a small concession to make to conciensious objectors.

oh hell yes it IS first aid. that is EXACTLY what it is. First line of defense against an unwanted pregnancy — take a pill within 48 hours of unprotected sex and you get a 99% chance of not getting pregnant. Emerg contraception is NOT RU-486, ie an abortifacent. It does NOT cause an abortion, in fact if you are true and goodly pregnant emerg contraception will have zero effect whatsoever and you’ll stay pregnant. It’s simply a pregnancy preventer.

Amish families exempt from insurance mandate because of religion.
