In answer to CJK and others from the thread below, as to why I am not a fan of facebook.
Because I’m a grumpy old crank. I detest Twitter even more, but to tell you the truth, they all are alike to me, Myspace, friendster, whatever.
But as to Joseph Cannon’s many posts on facebooks, I couldn’t do it justice to translate. Just google Cannonfire + facebook and read some of his posts. Facebook was a CIA project or some such and they keep track of people and invade your privacy…I can’t keep up. But I did note that the freaking secret service learned about the White House party gate-crashers….from Facebook! So, there you go. It might actually be a good way to taunt the fools in the White House and be sure they saw it! hahaha.

You know “facebooks.” They’re on the internets.

Re: Violet Socks idea for a new political party called the Justice Party – don’t really like that name because it sounds a little too judgmental and dismissive of the other oarties. She rejected some other names fearing that they could be twisted to ridicule the new party, but I can see opponents calling it the Justine Party to ridicule it as an all female party or the Judgmental Party to imply that it’s members are uptight and elitest. Others are more creative at naming that I am but something implying a populist or grassroots org would probably would work better, esp. since the idea is to have some inside the Democratic Party join in this movement and they owuld only do that if it did not jeopardize their standing as a Democrat. Don’t know if I’m making any sense, but the name Justice Party strikes me as calling people in other parties unjust (which they may be, but not wise to say so, IMO).

Good morning All, glad to see blog back..
For anyone here looking into the climate change hoax..very good read from 2007, explaining how this was set up to market, …CHICAGO is the U.S. home (CCX)Chicago Climate Exchange.. of the stock exchange for “climate credits”.
“”The centerpiece of the U.S. emerging market for carbon
emissions trading, is the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX), created in 2003″”
http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2007/3413carbon_swindle.html
It is not a pretty read..WE have been HAD..and yes.. it is ALL about Money..and we PAY!!!
This sounds no different to me than ENRON or MADOFF..they both marketed BS..they just were not the Gov’t!!
Dam*..we are all Smart women..lets come up with something we can market and trade..water? grass? dirt? anything will work.
We will market it.. sell it..and TAKE CARE OF POOR..Women and Children..

Back to work..but my grandadaughter just emailed this one over.
She is doing a College paper on Global Warming..to prove real..and now is running into many questions??
House speaker Pelosi (Jan. 2009): “She said she hopes to hold a vote before December, when climate negotiators gather in Copenhagen, Denmark, to work on a successor to the treaty many countries adopted in Kyoto, Japan, in 1997. “I believe we have to because we see that as a source of revenue,” she said, noting that proposed cap-and-trade bills would raise billions of dollars by forcing major emitters to buy credits to release greenhouse gases.”
Nancy.. the MONEY???..she is personally heavily invested in carbon credit trading..

Sorry, but i dont see why american tax payers should pay a single dime on the Global Warming, it’s not USA warming, it’s global warming.
Pfffffft is what i say
Liars all of them
Obama is on tv doing his thang as usual, he just loves to run that mouth and make his stupid jokes and bash others while he loves to be praised. I dont trust him or his people he surrounds himself with at all. Desiree Rogers was just too excited to show that ugly ass dress off and forgot what her damned job was all about. Gibbs made fun of a reporter questiioning him about it, they are alike, arrogant and totally unaware of what the people of this country really think and somebody needs to inform them we dont like their crap. Im still sick of them all, still amazed at how gulible his follewers are
and amused at the lame media.

The Climate Scandal Has Diverted Attention From the Climate Scandal
What’s The Motive?
Disclosure of the extent and degree of the scandal leads to the obvious question. “What’s the motive?” There are two streams, the political and the scientific, which appear separate but are closely conjoined.
The political stream was the pursuit of Maurice Strong and all those descendants of the Club of Rome including President Obama who want one world government with total control over everybody.
That goal has not changed. The 1974 report of the Club of Rome titled, Mankind at the Turning Point says, “It would seem that humans need a common motivation…either a real one or else one invented for the purpose…In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.” .
H. L. Mencken’s comment that, “The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule” is validated.

Zee 12.04.09 at 1:02 pm
That’s interesting, Scarlet. I heard Barney Frank once describe why the Republicans appeared to be pro-war…he said they sincerely believed in the uniting force of a common cause.
I do think it’s wise of humans to consider their impact on the environment, but I agree the political aspects are highly irritating. I don’t want to be on either side of the dynamic, so I think denouncing the Global Warming as a “conspiracy” is just as political and annoying as the so-called “green” movement.

Gang Green going to the dogs
The sky-is-falling greenies are getting progressively batty.
It’s not enough that we shut down our oil, gas and coal industries, bike to work, switch our light bulbs, take cloth bags to the supermarket, smash our clunkers, take low-water showers, and turn our thermostats down and sit in our mittens and tassel caps. Now they want us to cook our dogs.
Not hot dogs. Real dogs — the furry ones that live in our houses.
According to authors of a new book, “Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living,” it takes 0.84 hectares of land to keep a medium-sized dog fed.
A hectare is 2.471 acres, so they’re saying it takes more than two acres of the planet’s limited surface just to keep one midsized dog supplied in food at any one time.
Bad as cars are alleged to be for global warming, that single dog is about twice the environmental burden of a Toyota Land Cruiser, according to New Zealand writers Brenda and Robert Vale, husband-wife professors at Victoria University, specialists in sustainable architecture and co-authors of “Time to Eat the Dog.”

The campaign cash behind the Afghanistan escalation
President Barack Obama is scheduled to deliver a speech to the nation tonight from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., in which he’s expected to announce he’s sending up to 35,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan.
Anti-war groups are already planning protests against the escalation. United for Peace and Justice, a coalition of more than 1,400 local and national groups, is holding numerous protest actions around the country today and tomorrow, as is the anti-war group Code Pink.
Some are calling the president’s plan to ratchet up the war a betrayal of the Democratic base, which overwhelmingly opposes sending more troops. For example, a recent Gallup poll found that 60% of Democrats want the president to begin reducing troop levels in Afghanistan.
But while the president may be showing disloyalty to his political base, he’s remaining faithful to the defense industry interests that so generously funded his campaign.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics’ OpenSecrets.org database, the top recipient of defense industry money in the 2008 election cycle was Barack Obama, whose haul of $1,029,997 far surpassed Republican contender Sen. John McCain’s $696,948.
During the 2008 cycle, the industry contributed a total of $23.7 million to federal candidates — far more than the $17.4 million it invested during the 2006 cycle or the $18.1 million in the 2004 cycle.
The top five defense industry contributors during the 2008 elections were Lockheed Martin at $2.5 million, Boeing at $2.1 million, Northrop Grumman at $1.8 million, and Raytheon and General Dynamics at $1.7 million each.
And it appears their investment may be paying off: The Associated Press reports that analyst Howard A. Rubel of the global investment bank Jefferies & Co. sent out a client note today stating that the fiscal 2010 Defense Department Budget will likely boost demand for precision munitions, communications gear, helicopters, armor and surveillance systems.
Among the companies whose stock Rubel rated as “Buy”? General Dynamics and Northrop Grumman.

Kerry seeks more U.S. climate funds for poor nations
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Two senators on Tuesday gave a boost to next week’s global environmental summit in Copenhagen, with a senior Democrat advocating more U.S. funding of climate change efforts by poor nations and a key Republican calling for quick action on a U.S. climate bill.
Democratic Senator John Kerry, a leading advocate of climate control legislation in Congress, recommended that the Obama administration include $3 billion in next year’s budget to help fund efforts to address global warming. This year’s funding is about one third that amount.
Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the few Republicans willing to negotiate with Democrats on a climate change bill, told Reuters, “I think we need to act by next spring” to pass a bill limiting U.S. carbon dioxide emissions.

More from the mutated species:
“ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexico man is in custody after authorities say he fatally shot his 9-month-old daughter after an argument with the infant’s mother.
Police say 22-year-old Christopher Rains of Albuquerque and the baby’s mother, 18-year-old Ashley Trujillo, got into a heated argument Tuesday at an Albuquerque home over whether Trujillo was involved with another man.
Police allege Rains pointed a pistol at the baby’s head and pulled the trigger. Rains then allegedly asked Trujillo whether her seeing another man was worth it.
Authorities say Rains then called 911. He was taken into custody when officers arrived at the house.
It was unknown if Rains had an attorney.”

Be scared: Obamacare endangers our life spans
Nat Hentoff
Much of the press coverage of the Democrats’ health-care legislation, now fiercely embattled in Congress, focuses on the public option, the actual long-term costs and tax increases, and the amendment barring #”"funding for abortions, but the cold heart of Obamacare is its overpowering of the doctor-patient relationship – eventually resulting in the premature ending of many Americans’ lives for being too costly.
To call the dangers of this legislation “death panels” obscures the real-life consequences to Americans, not only the elderly, of a federal government-run health-care bureaucracy. In the Senate bill, for instance, Medicare doctors whose treatments of certain, mostly elderly, patients costs more than a set government figure each year, will be punished by losing part of their own incomes.
Not only Medicare doctors will be monitored for their cost-effectiveness (cost effectiveness = rationing). In the House bill, as Cato Institute’s health-care specialist Michael Tanner explains (New York Post, Nov. 8), “111 government agencies, boards, commissions and other bureaucracies – all overseen by a new health-care czar,” the commissioner of health-care choices, will keep watch on what the president has called excessive, wasteful health-care expenditures.
If congressional Democrats succeed in passing their health-care “reform” measure to send to the White House for President Obama’s signature, then they and he are determining your health decisions.
Also remember that these functionaries making decisions about your treatment and, in some cases, about the extent of your life span, have never met you. They do not know your name, have not spoken directly to your doctor and, of course, haven’t the slightest idea of what your wishes are. Is this America?
Is this what presidential candidate Barack Obama meant by “Change we can believe in”? Even if you voted for him, is this the change you will believe in if your doctor is overruled by the government in his or her treatment decisions about you?
Remember those federal bureaucrats recently ruling on breast-cancer screening? Dr. James Thrall, chairman of the American College of Radiology and a Harvard Medical School professor, said the resulting furor of dissent by doctors showed (Wall Street Journal, Nov. 18) that rulings “based on costs and large group averages, not individuals” lead him to fear that “we are entering an era of deliberate decisions where we choose to trade people’s lives for money.”
Is there anything you want to say to your representatives in the House or Senate before the final vote is taken? If you don’t act urgently now, you may become part of another collective statistic – American annual death rates.
I’m scared, and I do mean to scare you.
We do not elect the president and Congress to decide how short our lives will be. That decision is way above their pay grades.

This is about climate change, Copenhagen and the treaty that may be signed by the US, from a guy who has actually read it.
On October 14th 2009, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change expert, gave a presentation at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN ……
WARNING! Goodbye U.S Sovereignty… Hello One World Government !
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddQvhdCyhe4
————————————————————————————————————
I have not been following the one world one government (conspiracy theory?) but I must admit that BO’s positions and behavior are consistent with him having aspirations to be leader of the world. Not just leader of the most powerful nation in the world – THE WORLD. I read somewhere that he has been on more foreign trips (or visited more foreign countries) than any of his predecessors in a similar time frame. It seems to me that he has been campaigning all along, overseas as well as here. His popularity abroad certainly exceeds his popularity here (although that still remains high). Although he believes that better relations with other countries is important (and I agree) I wonder if he is also feathering his own nest. Is the reason he told that CNN reporter in (was it China?) recently that he may not run for re-election in 2012 because he is hedging his bets in case he tanks or because he is planting a seed, for a much bigger job? Seeing him with all those adoring fans in Germany, way back, made me wonder if he sees himself as the savior for all humanity and of course he recently called himself the first Pacific US President! My guess though is that he was just covering his tail in case the s**t hits the fan with a load of failed policies and that he really wants an 8-year stint here before he looks elsewhere.

For an enlightening view of all of Gore’s financial connections related to Generation Investment Management (global warming central + CCX), go to muckety and use the interactive feature. Note particularly all the high tech firms (read Barbara Boxer’s Silicon Valley supporters)connected to Gore and GIM. Note also the Goldman Sachs connections, Obama 2008 connections, Nov. 24 WH State dinner connections, connections to movers and shakers in industries in India, et al. Also, don’t overlook the connection to Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, the big Silicon Valley venture capital firm.
As I’ve said before, Gore’s ‘global warming’ carbon credit/offset scam was planned as the next Wall St. bubble, at taxpayer expense.
Instead of investigating the hacking of the e-mails at the British climate change research center (which Boxer called for), Congress should be investigating Gore’s scam, as it’s unfolding in evidence such as those e-mails and other documents at additional research centers.

I like the idea of a woman’s third party working in and out of the Democratic Party. I even like lady Justice as a symbol. A party for women, by women and men that support the principles. If I didn’t like the person the Dems or Repubs offer, and I was afraid a third party vote would ineffectual, then at least they would be counted as votes women withheld from the two parties because they did not support women’s issues or candidates.
Say for instance, there was already a woman’s party after our Hillary got pushed out by the DNC, and it was between the Fraud and McCain…all the PUMAs voted for the woman’s party that don’t want Obama and don’t support McCain, about 18 million of them get tossed to the Women’s party!
I don’t even want to hide the agenda by calling it the Justice Party, like Violet mentions…I want it in-your-face, THE WOMEN’s Party!
Sort of a gentle reminder that if a candidate doesn’t support women’s issues, we are gonna kick yer ass!!!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/aaron-greenspan/customer-disservice-spotl_b_154001.html
I never read huffpo, and typically don’t link to their stuff, but this article from Dec. ‘08 is really interesting. This guy shows that Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield, Byers (Gore’s GIM venture capital connection, as mentioned above) has had its own serious problems with data breaches, because the firm outsources its database management! I found this remark especially interesting: “…the organization responsible for exposing my data is the immensely powerful venture capital firm of Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers (KPCB)–the same firm recently written up for its new “green” energy pursuits in The New York Times Magazine, and the source of funding, according to its own web site, for “such household names as Amazon, Sun, Genentech, Intuit, Verisign and Google.” Not only does KPCB have very good lawyers; it has lawyers on retainer at practically every major law firm in Silicon Valley, and if it doesn’t, then at least one of its portfolio companies does. Conflict checks alone make it virtually impossible to find an attorney who would be willing to take on the firm in a substantive battle.”
—-
That provides some insight and perspective on why Silicon Valley Senator Boxer has a bigger political money stake in calling for investigating the climate change research center hackers than for investigating Gore’s global warming scam with all its tentacles.

Hi Shadow. I’ve long advocated a New Woman’s Party (a contemporary iteration of Alice Paul’s Woman’s Party). Though I applaud the discussion taking place at Violet Socks’ blog, I do wonder how in the world a third so-called ‘Justic Party’ could indeed succeed in co-opting the D party from the inside and outside. We’ve seen firsthand how the thug-like, Chicago-style, pay-to-play or else, Obamacrats (today’s D party) operate. IMO, to believe a third party could have any impact on these thugs from the inside or outside just isn’t realistic. For example, look what’s happening to the Blue Dog Dems now. They’re scared spitless to buck the Obamacrat (D) party line even in order to uphold their sworn commitments to constituents in their own states. Why would anyone believe a third party could or would fare any better with its ideas/precepts? IMO, the D party is dead, and no amount of ‘co-opting’ can resuscitate it. Also, I tend to think the party being discussed would still lean far too left for most of middle-of-the-road America’s liking, particularly from an economic viewpoint. JMHO.
I do agree that a new party committed to women’s equality, freedoms and rights would be better called the Women’s Party. I’m sure the folks at Violet Socks don’t suggest this because of a PC concern that it would offend da menz.
CJK 12.04.09 at 5:36 pm
Just to clarify my comment #46, I’m referring specifically to a third party whose explicit purpose is to co-opt the D party from within and from without. I’m not referring to a third party that would be entirely independent of either the D or R parties. In other words, I think any third party that explicitly tries to co-opt the Ds (Obamacrats) from inside/outside is more likely instead to have its members co-opted by the Chicago-style dirty politics of the D’s. It’s been happening for two years now. D’s once thought to be standard bearers for women’s issues have kow-towed to BO. What makes anyone believe that would change just because someone advances a third party to ‘co-opt’ the D party inside/outside?

Banks continue to fail…
Regulators shut 2 Georgia banks
WASHINGTON (AP) — Regulators have shut down two banks in Georgia, bringing to 126 the number of U.S. bank failures this year in a climate of economic struggle and deepening loan defaults.

I have always thought that a third party is a waste of a vote, until 2008 were our votes were given to the enemy camp, some by the DNC and some by us that are not Republican’s to try and stop Obama.
I am a new voter this year, and if my vote isn’t going to win the candidate I want, I want it tossed into a big Red Women’s Party Trash Can, that makes it’s point clear, I do not support the other party, I do not pick the best of two evils, both candidates suck and so my vote goes to Women out of principle.

While I entirely respect your viewpoint, Shadow, I do believe that is precisely how BO won last Nov. If women (and their supporters) could advance a genuine, strong, viable third party, perhaps a candidate could be fielded who would deserve women’s votes. My dream (and admittedly, it is a dream) would be for a viable third party (New Woman’s Party) to be able to field a candidate such as HRC or Sarah Palin. However, realistically, I now do not believe HRC would never buck the Obamacrat (D) party. Also, it’s unclear whether Palin would buck the R party. I’m reading her book, and I have to say I’m impressed. She is smart, savvy and tough. This woman, and the pre-BO HRC, may be the only two people in today’s American political arena with any balls.
CJK 12.04.09 at 5:59 pm
Make that, ‘I now do not believe HRC would ever buck the Obamacrat (d) party. Geesh…
CJK 12.04.09 at 6:06 pm

After watching these lovely, dedicated healthcare professionals and staff at this apparently wonderful, medically and technologically advanced facility, I just have to shake my head that Congress is deliberately and relentlessly pushing legislation that clearly will ultimately destroy what is today still the world’s best healthcare system.

I think any third party would take quite awhile to have enough supporters to buck the 2 party system, but if a woman’s party supported primarily women, that’s 52% to win over and could have real clout if it ever took hold. If it took away enough votes from the Dems to make the Repubs have more power, the Dems would have to court the women’s party to make a difference.

I’m certainly no strategist, which goes without saying I guess. But, in my simple way of thinking, I’d like to believe that if a candidate such as HRC or Sarah could be persuaded to run under a New Woman’s Party banner, and if enough women’s groups, votes, monetary support could be to coalesced to support her, we could have a woman POTUS in 2012. After all, both HRC’s and Sarah’s popularity are soaring, while all male potential candidates, including BO and all the R ‘usual suspects,’ are polling in dismal, distant numbers.

We had a similar incident here last night. I went outside to go to the store and the incident was unfolding. Some jackoff (mutation from our original species) threw something that busted thru the window of his ex-gf’s car as she was driving away. And hurt the baby. She started screaming “my baby is bleeding!” and I went and call 911…first time I ever had to. The jerks that live over there blamed her, not him, but I was never questioned as a witness. But I talked to police this AM and A. the baby is ok…and B. the asshole was arrested.

Just got home and checked my mailbox (not email) and a letter from John Kerry was in there…. The letter begins with ” Big Change. Lasting Change. Transformational Change.” And, on and on…. Puke! On the back page is a comment…” And to make matters more challenging, the Republicans now have an especially strong fundraising draw-former Governor Sarah Palin” So, now the Freaking Dem Party is afraid of a Woman….
Remember, how the Dem Party SHIT on Hillary Clinton…. Fuckers!!!!!!!!! I hope Sarah Palin raises millions and millions of dollars….. We had the perfect moment…. Hillary for President and maybe even the piece of shit Bo after 8 years could learn something… (most likely, NOT) And, maybe get elected…. Oh, No!!!!!! That slob Pelosieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and all of the other old sludge Dems ganged up on Hillary ( Pelosieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee hates Hillary… that was nothing more than a pissing match). So, Now we have nothing…. ZERO! the rest of the letter states how people are turning to the Republicans and that they have raised 27% more $$$ than the DEMs. HELLO! What do you expect when you the Dem party shits on their own supporters….Screw them all… I am an independant and will vote for the person….. Never, on a Cold day in Hell will I support or vote for the Dems again….
Now, that I have gotten that off of my chest….
I hope everyone is well and getting excited for the Holidays…
Oh, I forgot to mention…. They are asking for $$$$ in a prepaid self addressed envelope…. So, I will send some copies of our wonderful BumperStickers along with a perfect statement ( HPBoston) “VOTE THE BUMS OUT” and this means YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just want to share with you…. Yesterday I was in Court…. Unfortunately, I was forced to Evict a tenant…. Here in CA that is the only way to get the people to move when they are not paying rent (I worked with her for over 3 months)… Anyway, I was at the bottom of the Docket and there was about 30 plus cases the Judge was hearing…. Just sitting there was very sad… People are really desperate and don’t know what to do…. After about an hour… A man who was being foreclosed (evicted) by the bank was standing before the Judge and had not made payments for about 5 months…. When the Judge asked the Defendant (the man being evicted) if he had anything to add to his Defense… The Hispanic man replied… “OBama said he would help me and I would not lose my home” The Judge replied… ” Well, you will have to take that up with Obama and the fact that he is not here today to help you”… The man was speechless…. When I see shit like this my blood boils…. What a freaking sad state of affairs the American People are in….
That piece of Shit BO is destroying the American People one person at a time……..

The hospital can now offer free mammogram screenings for women in its service area. And this is an example of the healthcare system BO and the Obamacrats in Congress are pushing relentlessly to destroy in order to satisfy a handful of giant health insurers and pharmaceutical companies?!

I’m posting this link not because of the blog thread so much but because of the first comment. It is lengthy but very interesting in terms of a scholarly questioning of BO’s eligibility to serve as POTUS, particularly because, legally, dual citizenship precludes ‘natural born’ citizenship. (I have to agree with Lou Dobbs: If BO is a citizen and eligible to serve according to the Constitution, why not just produce the damned original birth certificate? What’s the big deal? Why all the secrecy? Why spend over a million bucks to fight all the ongoing lawsuits over it?)

Re the NY “Never Forget” protest, here is an excerpt from a letter carried by the NY Daily News, written by Debra Burlingame, sister of one of the 9/11 victims and one of the founders of the organization.
The letter was written in response to the DOJ’s implication that the victims’ families “lacked courage:”
“Two weeks ago, 300 family members of 9/11 victims sent a letter to the President telling him we adamantly oppose this dangerous and unnecessary act. The letter was never acknowledged. Then, one hour after the attorney general made his stunning announcement that unlawful foreign combatants would be tried as civilians, the number of signers to that letter jumped to 45,000. By the end of the day the number was 100,000.
Our Internet server couldn’t handle the volume of Americans who had somehow found out about this letter and wished to stand with us.
The attorney general has suggested that those who oppose prosecuting these men here in New York City are afraid – that we somehow don’t have the courage to face Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in court.
How dare this man, who didn’t have the decency to notify victims’ families of his decision to bring these monsters here, imply that we lack courage. Courage is carrying on after watching your loved ones die, in real time, knowing that they burned to death, were crushed to death, or jumped from 100 flights high. Courage is carrying on, even as we waited, in some cases years, for something of our loved ones to bury. More than 1,100 families still wait.
How dare the attorney general suggest that the firefighters who oppose this trial need to “man up” and let this avowed enemy of America mock their brother firefighters in the country’s most magisterial setting, a federal court.
Let me refresh the attorney general on the meaning of courage. Courage was going into those buildings that day, knowing they might not come out alive. Courage was digging for nine months on hands and knees, breathing in toxic smoke, to find the ravaged remains of brother firefighters, police officers, citizen responders and office workers. This courage was not summoned from false bravado; it sprang from an abiding love of their fellow human beings and a sense of obligation to them, their families and their beloved country.
The attorney general has glibly, and most insensitively, called the perverse spectacle he wants to invite on this city and this nation, the “trial of the century.”

I can’t get Amanda Knox and her family out of my mind. She has already been in jail for two years and the appeal will take years more. There is no way this girl and her new Italian boyfriend would decide to sexually assault and kill another girl with a guy they did not even know. Of course, the fact that that guy had been breaking into houses in the area ,etc. is not important. I love Italy, but I am ready to boycott. The girl had her whole life before her and it is destroyed. The Italian media and anti-Americanism decided to punish the US by destroying this girl’s life. I pray that God gives her strength.

Here’s a case of a woman not helping our cause:
HELENA – Sen. Max Baucus’ office confirmed late Friday that the Montana Democrat was romantically involved with his state director, Melodee Hanes, when he nominated her for Montana’s U.S. attorney, Roll Call is reporting. Hanes withdrew her name from consideration earlier this year.

Hiya Swannie! The Goddess Radio music is sublime! Thank you.
I’m all for a New Woman’s Party (or Goddess Party
)!!!
Like you, I believe that a so-called ‘third party’ effort focused on ‘co-opting’ the current Obamacrat (D) party is likely futile (the more likely scenario is that such an effort would itself be co-opted by the corrupt, thug-like, Chicago-pay-to-play-or-else Obamacrats). IMO, the D party is dead and cannot be resuscitated. After all, it’s the party that last year completely abandoned the very core of our democracy — the sanctity of the individual vote.
I do not believe HRC will run in 2012. I remain a loyal fan and follower, but HRC has shown time and again these past couple of years that she has no intention of bucking the Obamacrat (D) party. The only way she might run would be if BO chose not to run, for whatever reason. But, I believe that’s a scenario with very long odds.
I do not believe the current R party will nominate Sarah Palin, unfortunately. They will wrongheadedly and predictably (and in typical pure male narcissistic egomaniacal fashion) nominate one from the list of GOP male ‘usual suspects.’
Sarah Palin has, throughout her career, bucked the GOP (and many other institutions and organizations) in order to serve the people. I’ve been reading her book, and the title ‘Going Rogue: An American Life,’ is spot on. Sarah Palin has been ‘going rogue’ her entire life. Her life has been incredibly woman-identified, woman-defined and strong.
With women representing more than half the voters in this country, if there were a New Woman’s Party, and that party were to draft Sarah Palin (or HRC, in the unlikely event she’d be willing to leave the Obamacrat (D) party), I believe a woman POTUS would be a sure bet in 2012. Both women are enormously popular, while all male 2012 potential POTUS contenders’ polls are tanking.

Way, that story saddens me. This woman apparently could’ve made her mark entirely on her own. Why did she feel the need to play by men’s rules and make the mistake of believing she needed to ‘hitch her wagon’ to Baucus’s so-called ’star’ in DC? From what I understand, he was a hypocritical turncoat from the GOP to the D party, and has been a BO sycophant from the get-go (though perhaps not quite as BO sycophantic as Montana’s horrific Gov Sweitzer). He had ‘loser’ stamped on his forehead. Could such a smart woman not see this?

Hi Pers! Thanks for posting the Debra Burlingame letter excerpt and link to the NY Daily News article. Every American should read (and sign) that letter. It is an outrage that her letter remains unacknowledged by BO and his administration. Burlingame and one of the firefighter first responders to 9/11 were on Hannity last night.
One cannot possibly imagine the pain of the loved ones that were lost or the loved ones that were left behind. BO’s and Holder’s planned circus of a civilian trial in NYC where this tragedy occurred can only exacerbate that pain. KSM and his co-conspirator enemy combatants need to be tried and punished via military tribunal, very swiftly and surely, and very far away from the United States.

Hi Pumas – am sick so won’t stick around for long – don’t want to share my germs!!
SENIOR PUMAS BEWARE (you will all be there one day). Did you hear Bernanke, at his reconfirmation hearings the other day, proposing big cuts in Social Security and of Medicare. Now apparently, Dianne Feinstein is on board proposing an unelected commission to do the dirty work. When will this ever end? I am beginning to wonder why they just don’t propose to terminate seniors over 65. Many of our elected officials are over 65 but they have their fortunes to take care of them – they may not need these programs that the rest of us have paid for all our working lives – but so many of us would be in dire straits without them.
This is part of a letter I received from Courage Campaign this morning. I don’t agree with all their positions but this I am concerned about:
“You can bet Dianne Feinstein will never have to eat cat food. But that may not be true for seniors, low income people and other at-risk folks if she gets her way.
There’s a powerful movement in Washington, D.C. demanding big cuts to Social Security and Medicare benefits. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told Congress on Thursday that those “entitlement” programs should be slashed to bring the budget under control, instead of raising taxes on the wealthy who have benefited from his bailouts.
Now, in the midst of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, Senator Dianne Feinstein is preparing to help Bernanke achieve his goal.
Senator Feinstein is trying to ram through far-reaching legislation that would lead to major cuts to Social Security and Medicare — before there can be any debate or the public even knows what is going on.
The Senate should be working to expand health care programs and aid to those suffering from the recession, instead of pulling the rug out from under them. We’ve saved Social Security once before in 2005. Now we need to step up and save it, and Medicare, from Dianne Feinstein.

I am having phone problems…
Statement by Judea and Ruth Pearl read at the New York rally by actor Brian Dennehy
December 5 2009
Daniel Pearl was murdered by Khalid Sheikh Muhammand
Friends, On behalf of the Daniel Pearl Foundation, we wish to join you today in a call to reverse Attorney General Eric Holder’s decision to try America’s new-type of enemies in New York Federal court. We wish to add to your rally the perspective of our own personal tragedy which, in many ways, has come to symbolize the depth of inhumanity that has swept our planet in the 21st century, and the sense of urgency with which this planet is currently watching your rally, in New York City, a rally that may very well hold the key to the future of open society. We, who witnessed the darkest side of hell, and have since spent every moment of our lives studying the anatomy of terror, we refuse to accept the strategy of normalization that Holder’s decision represents. Terror is a crime against society, and should not be tried in the same court as crimes against individuals or against a particular country. Let us make it perfectly clear. We are not concerned about the safety issues that this trial poses to New York City — we trust our law enforcement officers. Nor are we concerned about the anguish of our children who will be seeing the memories and values of their loved ones mocked and ridiculed in the court room — they have known greater pains before. We are concerned about the millions of angry youngsters, among them potential terrorists, who will be watching this trial unfold on Al Jazeera TV and come to the realization that America has caved in to Al Qaeda’s demands for publicity. The atrocity of 9/11 and the brutal murder of Daniel Pearl are vivid reminders of terrorists’ craving to dramatize their perceived grievances against the West. Today, America has given them an even lauder mega-phone — in the best theater in town — and thus signaled to thousands of would-be terrorists that joining Al Qaeda or other terror organizations is one way to obtain that craved-for mega-phone. We who have studied the anatomy of terrorism cannot accept the logic that terror has no country therefore it cannot be defined, named and fought with the same determination and creativity that civilized society has fought other existential threats since the invention of gun powder. These include high-seas piracy, the introduction of poison gas and the threat of nuclear weapons; all were contained by creative changes in international law and the establishment of new legal categories. The invention of the suicide belt is of no lesser threat. Terror is an ideology that elevates one’s grievances above the norms of civilized society and, like any epidemic of global dimension it must be fought by attending to the distinct mechanisms that transmit and propagate the disease. In 2002, the international community has given America a moral mandate to fight the new epidemic with all the necessary instruments, including a new court system and new legal regimes. The decision to try the arch-symbols of terror in ordinary criminal court, using traditional legal instruments, constitutes a betrayal of that mandate. Mr. Attorney General, our children and grand-children are imploring you today: Please reclaim America’s mandate to secure a brighter future for our troubled world!

“My brother was Charles (Chic) Burlingame, captain of American Airlines Flight 77, which was hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.
We understand that to the terrorists, jihad is more than spilling American blood, it is forcing us to change our lives, divert our limited resources. When we spend hundreds of millions of dollars on rooftop snipers, kevlar vests and armored vehicles, that’s jihad. When we barricade our buildings, lock down our streets, and close our transportation systems, that’s jihad. When we grant a confessed war criminal access to platinum due process, so that he can use it to rally his fellow terrorists to kill more of our citizens and target our military, that’s jihad. Mr. Attorney General, this doesn’t have to happen. You have called the military commissions system “lawful, fair, and effective” and “consistent with our highest standards as a nation.” We agree. We think that is far more than these sworn enemies of America deserve. ”

Doubt it. I think they’ll decide amongst themselves and let us know who they’ve selected. They can’t afford (literally and figuratively) to let the peons decide the nominee… they proved that to us in the democratic primaries of 2008.

I wish I could believe that the One World Government theory is just a conspiracy theory, but I am as convinced as ever that it is real. About four years ago an Immigrant friend of mine was working with the caterer for some orginization holding a meeting in NY. I cannot remember if it was CFR or the Center for Open Society. In any case he told me that the Clintons were there and so was Jordan’s Queen Noor. he said that they were openly speaking about a global governance and “world religion.”
I wrote it all off at the time and went on to campaign for Hillary. But seeing all that is going on in our increasingly Muslim appeasing country along with the Clinton’s support for O’Burka’s America destroying policies, I am convinced that what my friend spoke of was real and very significant.
Surely there are also republicans who will sell out America’s soverenty for a comfortable position among the world’s elite (Bush).
So America is going to have to stand up and fight and support the candidates who love this country and would not wish to see it resemble the Muslim world or mortgage US to China.
I am not trusting any of the political power families these days. They will all look out for themselve’s in this New World Order.
Juliette 12.06.09 at 1:52 am
Yes Dances-
You are probably right. As I only read about this on a ticker, I have no idea if they are considering Will Bower’s ideas or if they are just going to come out and admit that the DNC chooses for the people.
In any case, the dems will have to go it alone, or at least without my vote for a long time to come.

Hi PUMAs, looks like everyone is sort of on a blogging rest right now, but while I was making Christmas gifts, yup, I am gonna be nonPC and say Christmas gifts not frickin’ HOLIDAY gifts, I was watching teevee, without anything good on I let the Wanda Sykes show ride for a few minutes to see what she is like and she was trashing obama, so I watched it. Heh.
She was saying not only that his rating with liberals was falling but that many were growing tired of waiting for him to keep his promises. She said she donated $25 to his campaign (I don’t believe it was that low…) and that when she gave to a candidate, she expected something. “Manybe for $25 I only bought that mole on his nose (YUP, she said it)”…and that the mole wasn’t doing much. She said getting him as a black president was like getting a pretty wrapped package at Christmas, and when you open it, all there is, is 3 pair of underwear. Black underwear they thought would be sexy, but they were just underwear. She even said she thought every 4 years we only get underwear, (politicians are all the same), and now she is missing her Clinton underwear!
Heh, the obots are getting pissed.
It’s about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Juliette 12.06.09 at 2:45 am
Yes BillieJo
Even AA Obots are beginning to turn on O’Buyya.
According to Dick Morris-who we hate but have to admit he knows Washington very well- the black congressional caucus is pissed at Obama for not doing more for his peeps and they are getting vendictive by serving Obama’s social coordinator, Deserie Rodgers. Rogers is a very close Chicago friend of the Obama’s and is responsible for the reality TV wannabes crashing the White House State Dinner. The white house will not allow Rodgers to testify before congress and are claiming that the seperations clause of the constitution gives her a pass.
And then there is reporter April Ryan, who handed it to Obama’s press secretary Robert Gibbs his ass after he avoided answering her questions on Deserie Rodgers. Gibbs told Ryan to take a breath, something to the affect that she was acting like his young children. The other reporters just gasped!
I think the whole issue is about Obama helping his cronies at NBC, who own bravo- the home of trash reality TV.
This sould be fun to watch. I used to like Wanda Sykes but she got a little to full of the Kool Aide of late. If she had just looked at Obamas record back in IL’s 13th district she could have seen that Obama was about as good to the impoverished AA’s of Chicago as he was to Sarah Palin.

An early morning cupcake. -14!
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll
Also, perhaps the Obamacrats should read Rasmussen’s ‘What They Told Us: Reviewing Last Week’s Key Polls.’
–”59% of Americans say it’s at least somewhat likely that some scientists have falsified data to support their own theories about global warming”
–”71% of Americans say creating jobs is more important than stopping global warming.”
–”71% of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry.”
–”53% of voters now oppose the health care plan proposed by the president and congressional Democrats, a finding that has been relatively stable for months.”
–”57% favor limiting the amount of money a jury can award a plaintiff in a medical malpractice lawsuit. 47% believe that restricting jury awards for medical malpractice lawsuits will significantly reduce the cost of health care, but no such limits are included in the plan now being debated.”
–”In fact, most voters believe the health care plan proposed by the president will raise the cost of health care. 60% also believe it will increase the budget deficit, and an even larger number believe it will lead to higher middle-class taxes.”
Well, you get the idea. Please read the rest via the link.
Obviously, BO and the Obamacrats are not listening to the American people. Question is, who are they listening to?

She sees vet every 3 days. It is taking a toll on both of us. I threw my back out trying to get her in and out of the jeep.
I am going to try to catch up on the blog, my computer seems to be staying on, so I am hoping what ever happened is over with.

Good am, pumaland. It just dawned (ahem)on me that this is an only half-open thread. What that mean?
Did anybody else get the email from Gov.Patterson? I’m not in NY but it’s interesting. I won’t post the whole thing…
I do not take this action lightly, but there is no other responsible path. If the Legislature will not do what is necessary, I will take the difficult actions that are needed to restore our State’s fiscal integrity.
Best,
David A. Paterson
Governor of New York State

Good to hear from you. Upsetting about Roxie still suffering and you too. Blog has been pretty quiet and I see that Murphy has posted a new blog title below so we should be going upstairs shortly.

What do you know about Linda McMann? Does she have good backing in Connecticut to run against Dodd?

Thanks for the link. Already on the case. This Climate scam has been bugging me for days. BO better not sign any stupid treaties and junk in Copenhagen!
