Goofs, while I recognize that some Rs used the debate as a tactic to get media attention, I also saw that many were genuinely trying to be heard regarding viable alternatives, while also trying to convince Ds not to support the Obamacrats’ bills. You saw the D railroading that happened last year during the caucuses, primary, despicable RBC decision negating millions of votes, convention sham, etc. That’s D corruption (Chicago style) at its worst. Yes, the Rs are corrupt, too. But I’ve seen genuine efforts on the part of many Rs to stop the Obamacrats’ trainwreck so-called ‘healthcare reform.’ The Ds have thwarted these efforts. I’ve never in my life witnessed the Congressional process be so tyrannically controlled by one party (and yes, that includes the past 8 years). This D party, IMO, is no longer an American political party, but some sort of fascist cabal (Congressional junta?) that has committed a government takeover right under our noses and now rules with an iron hand. The Rs may not be ‘potted plants,’ but it seems they never even had a chance at initiating/sustaining any sort of intelligent, reasoned debate over this horrific legislation.

Yup it was the same when the GOP was in the majority they did what ever the hell they pleased with nary a peep from the democraps….we railed agaist the repubs to no avail!!!And no help from the dems they cried and pissed and moaned and never did squat!

Yep, I do watch FOX news also. My point was that all the Repubs had to do is convince 1 or 2 of the Dems not to support and we wouldn’t be where we are today.

By proposing a different bill, that they knew would not be even entertained is a diversionary tactic. If they really wanted to stop this bill they would have figured out how to do something far more likely to succeed.

I don’t trust any politicians are working for the good of the people. The GOP are not potted plants and giving them a pass because they are the minority does not mean they are helpless.

I can not vote for any of these assholes….I can not even vote for Dem women running now, I am through! And the Repub party is just as bad so there is NO one to vote for, only against. I am against the Dems!
