Hi BillieJo! I posted very much the same ‘dream’ this past July after Palin’s resignation announcement. Don’t recalll the response being very positive. Perhaps the political environment has changed so much in just a few months that the ‘dream’ might be becoming much more of a possibility than it once might have been???

Here’s my latest ‘dream’: I’d like to see HRC and SP run on the New Woman’s Party ticket! That way, these two great women would be free of the party baggage that’s weighing them down (the BO albatross in HRC’s case; and the GOP POTUS ‘usual suspects’ candidate list in SP’s case). Most importantly, we could all say a permanent farewell to the D and R Boyz-Only Club and all its supporters.

Thanks all. I have started my research and will call the Secretary of States office tomorrow. They will send me the packet with all the papers etc I need. I have to go to Jefferson City Feb. 15 2010 to file the papers, pay $100.00 dollar fee to the Democratic party. Get an affidavit saying I owe no taxes. Sending that off tomorrow. I am going to keep it quiet until Feb. 15. I want it to be a surprise for Clay etc.!! In the mean time I will work on setting up everything legally, bank account for donations, web page, post office box number to keep my home address safe etc. Zee…. thanks if you find the info pass it along please. No my family is not in my life they have been absent along time. I have about 3 close friends. Its hard to get out and make friends with MD and I no longer can drive. I never said this will be easy!! LOL But if all that happens is I get my name on the ballot somehow someway I pray it sends a message. St. Louis City is like Chicago politics. I could win he is not really liked around here it is a very Democratic district and no other Democrat has challenged him or his father who held the seat for years before him. Oh I do have good news. An ex- obot asked me for bumper stickers for his car. I hope the “Stupid Prick” ammendment doesn’t make stupid pricks out of all those who were originally opposed to The Big INS PHARMA Health Care take over. I am suspicious of the “Stupid” ammendment being a decoy to divert our attention away from the entire piece of crap that is Obama Scare. Everything about H.R.3962 is wrong and it should be strongly opposed even if the new abortion ammendment is dropped. I just get the feeling that collusion, distraction and manipulation are all being used to pass this bill. I can almost hear Obama and Emmanuel laughing at us. Every bill they have and are trying to pass is designed to fortify their power ane keep them in power indefinitly. They will use abortion and what ever else they need in their shell game. Lets stay focused. All of HR 3962 is a hoax. This govenment cannot be trusted with Health Care or anything else.

Oh no Juliette – I have not really lost them but I have lost the closeness that we had – politics was a constant topic of discussion and two of my closest friends (couple) choose not to talk with us about BO – I am waiting my time for the day they actually come around but it won’t, unfortunately, be initiated by me – I value our friendship too much to really lose it over him and his cronies. Just popping in to say Hi! I watched Hillary on David Gregory today. She is always so articulate and straight forward with her answers, not like someone else we know.

RemVem and Juliette, I completely agree that HR3962 (and its predecessor) were already bad bills even before the ‘Stupid Prick’ Amendment (H/T to Persephone for the great rename!). Also agree we should not be distracted by the amendment or BO’s ploy. We need to be e-mailing, faxing, phoning Senators this week to oppose this bill (whatever they may be calling it). We can’t ease up the pressure. Congress needs to scrap BO’s hc bill, and start over at the local/state level to build a carefully considered hc reform plan from the grassroots up, with input/participation from healthcare professionals, agencies and consumers. Gotta go. BBL.

They don’t care about his voting record, they don’t care that he has flip flopped on so many issues – they don’t care that his academic records were sealed, that there is no paper trail on him, they really don’t care about anything negative because they just think it is the result of right wing lies – in their eyes this guy walks on water …..

He gets an endorsement from the AMA (which represents, I think, less than 20% of physicians) and the endorsement weas not approved by the memebership but was voted on by the Trustees. He gets the backing of the AARP who are not looking out for seniors but their own bottom line in being able to sell insurance to fill the gaps the HC Bill would create. He gets the backing of Pharmaceutical companies because he has an underhanded backroom deal with them. He will say he has done what you propose – how on earth would he do anything differently – I SO agree with what you say but how to do it with this TRANSPARENT administration? BBL I hope

I loved the guy on that video as well. I love what he said about Europeans being spineless. I can never understand why, what Europe thinks of US is so important to so many liberals. Did they not sleep through two massive genecides on thier soil in less than 70 years? I liked the comment that said that liberals in Europe supported Nazi facism which is very true.

The one big thing I did not support was the condemnation of all religions along with Islam. I strongly believe that secularism in Europe has left a vacume that is being filled by Islam. I also think that secularism in America left an open opportunity for the false profit- Barak Obama. I know many on this blog will disagree. But the way I see it, European and No. American culture are Christian cultures. Christianity had its days of abusive power, but the fact that it’s profit Jesus, was a man of forgiveness, tolerance and peace has allowed these cultures to come back into the light after periods of destruction and darkness. That is an advantage that Islam will never have. Their example for humanity, their “profit” Mohammed was a man of persecution, intolerance and war. He was also a polygamist and child rapist. Alot of history in America is taught to us with a thick coating of white guilt. History courses taught in America are particularly slanted agaisnt the Catholic faith.
I don’t remember ever being taught about the Muslim slave trading, while I was in school, which incidently goes on unchecked to this very day. I don’t remember being taught about Arab Imperialism (Islam) which destroyed and usurped various cultures-from Persia to No. Africa. Their religions, cultures and languages are gone and replaced. Those who try to hold on to those cultures live in great danger.

Perhaps it is because I see more so called Christian right wing fanatics in America taking a strong stand against Shari-ah, that I fear we might be weakening an important ally by putting Chistians in the same pot as Muslims. I am proud of my Christian heritage. I believe Americans had more stength and courage when we were not so willing to equate our selves with the barbarians. Europe should be proud of their Christian heritage as well.
Religion is not a bad thing. False profits are.
And Mohammed was a false profit who had nothing good to offer humanity. Should we put him in the same catagory as Jesus or Moses?

Thank you I watched the video Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy. I wish I had the health and the time to go through a program like that. I don’t I have to file on Feb. 15, 2010 to be on the ballot. I am flying by the seat of my pants. I can only imagine what kind of reaction I will get that day. A 51 year old women with debilitating Muscular Dystrophy (that use a wheel chair) who has SSA Disability income of $764.00 a month. Who has a Section 8 Housing Voucher for a roof over my head. Who has to have food stamps and has Medicare and Medicaid for Health Insurance. Can you imagine their reaction??? (:
