You’re an asshole.
The dead shooter at Fort Hood is Major Malik Nadal Hasan. You do the friggin’ math.
Seems like just yesterday obama was telling the world that “Islam has done so much over the centuries to shape the world for the better including in my own country.”

I had the tv on when Obama came out to speak and he pulled a piece of paper out of his coat pocket. I said, Geez did someone have to write his speech of condolence for him. Turned to the shopping channel and then went to exercise. I guess I’ll watch the video now, but I don’t want to.

Fox tv is talking with a Colonel who worked with the shooter, but now is retired. He has made some agitated statements and had a confrontation with another soldier.
BigCatLover 11.05.09 at 8:16 pm
The Colonel is implying that the shooter was transferred from Walter Reed for a reason. Colonel saying he had been called some names by other soldiers when he wanted us to pull out of Iraq.

Colonel is named Terry Lee.

He makes George Bust look like a genius, hero, with a heart.
The man is so incompetent that he can not make a decision or see the difference between going on with his speach and acknowledging that a tragic event has occured.

Apparently, this woman is being harrassed for calling 911. Can you believe that shit? I saw a TV interview with her and she said she didn’t care about the harrassment that she did the right thing. She also said that she wanted to take a blanket and sit with the girl and hold her but she was very afraid.
BigCatLover 11.05.09 at 8:29 pm
Hasan’s cousin is on the phone with Fox tv saying that Hasan wanted to be in the military but could not take the taunts about his ethnicity and had tried every avenue to not have to go to fighting in the middle east. HIs family is completely shocked. His cousin saying that Hasan was never violent, ever.
Also reports are that the other two soldiers taken into custoday today have been released and did no shooting.

Real deep shit. Our prez is not Bush Jr., he’s Nixon Jr. I don’t think any amount of grooming, propaganda, or telepromptering can disguise this man’s apparent dissociative disorder. I cannot believe that he would joke around like a 13 year old before making an announcement about a tragedy as profound as this. I feel ashamed and appalled by his behavior.
Juliette 11.05.09 at 8:57 pm

I don’t know. Why did he go to Pakistan for a “vacaction” during his University years. Pakistan was under martial law from 1977-1988 under the iron fist of Genreal Mohammed Zia Ul Haq. Our president is more mysterious than Lee Harvey Oswald. This country really cut off it’s nose to spite it’s face and we are in great danger. This was an Islamic terrorist attack on our military in our own country, the second one this year. Our president had difficulty pretending to be upset. Maybe the “shout out” was code to his friends in the Taliban, you know, the good Taliban who we are paying to be on our side.
God help us.
MamaPuma 11.05.09 at 8:58 pm
I keep thinking about the reports that the soldiers were reportedly getting depressed and unmotivated by the lack of a clear mission in Afganistan and thinking that they must feel lost and afraid. Can you imagine how they feel now. They are in danger at home as well as in combat.

I think they are already scrubbing it.
Bush embodied the Peter Principle – promoted to his level of incompetence thanks to a lot of American voters (and maybe the Supreme Court). But I think he was basically humane, whereas Obama is just mind-boggling. Is he stuck in adolescence? Does he have any real concept of his position? Is he out of his mind? Or just completely lacking in heart and soul? And I get the feeling that those in positions of authority in the current White House are already “working around” him and his glaring disabilities. We are in for a rough ride and what’s worse is everyone blogging here already predicted and attempted to prevent this.

That photo of NY on Sept 11, 2001 with the words of the POTUS written over. the clouds of heartbreaking devastion just about says it all.
I have not been able to look at the photos of that day but this one attracts me like a magnet. It is truth.
The same truth that says a honor killing is Beheading your wife in Buffalo NY and running over your daughter in Arizonia and shooting both your daughters in Texas and the countless other acts of violence by a religion who has made women and Americans their enemy.
To sugar coat it as to not offend serves no purpose other than to further the agenda of hate disguised as peace.
Speak the Truth.

Poor Hasan, I hope you spill the beans and fry in Hell.
clintondemocrat 11.05.09 at 11:22 pm
This is the real speech from the effer. Please, there are so many mistakes and problems in this speech that it’s embarassing!!! But here we go.
“Now, I have to say, though, uh that beyond that, I plan to make some broader remarks about the challenges that lay ahead for Native Americans, as well as collaboration with our administration, uh but as some of you might have heard, there has been a tragic sssshooting at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas. uh We don’t yet know all the details at this moment; we will share them as we get them. uhhhhmmm What we do know is that uhhhhhummmmm a number of American soldiers have been killed, and even more have been wounded in a horrific outburst of violence.
My immediate, thoughts and prayers are with the wounded and with the families of the fallen, and with those who live and serve at Fort Hood. These are men and women who have made the selfless and courageous decision to risk and at times give their lives to protect the rest of us on a daily basis. It’s difficult enough when we lose these brave Americans in battles overseas. It is horrifying that they should come under fire at an Army base on American soil.
I’ve spoken to Secretary Gates and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, and I will continue to receive a constant stream of updates as new information comes in. We are working with the Pentagon, the FBI, and the Department of Homeland Security, uh all to ensure that Fort Hood is secure, and we will continue to support theeeeee community with the full resources of the federal government.
In the meantime, I would ask all Americans to keep the men uh and women of Fort Hood in your thoughts and prayers. We will make sure that we get answers to every single question uhhhh about this horrible incident. Annnnndddddddddd I want all of you to know thaaaaaaaaaaat uh as Commander-in-Chief, there’s no greater honor but also no greater responsibility for ME than to make sure that the extraordinary men and women in uniform areeeeeeeee properly cared for and that their safety and security uhhhhhmmmm when they are at home is provided for.
So we are going to stay on this. Butttttttttttttttttttttt I hope in the meantime that all of you recognize the scope of this tragedy, and keep everybody in their thoughts and prayers.”

“ELDORADO, Texas — The first polygamist sect member to face criminal trial following last year’s raid at the Yearning For Zion Ranch in West Texas was convicted Thursday of sexually assaulting an underage girl with whom he had a so-called “spiritual marriage.”
Raymond Jessop, 38, didn’t visibly react when the verdict was read after just more than two hours of jury deliberations. Free on bond during trial, he was immediately handcuffed and led to jail. Jurors were expected to return to court Monday to begin deciding his sentence on the child sexual assault conviction. He faces up to 20 years in prison.”

Major Cook simply refused to serve claiming that the order was illegal as the American President was not legitamate. He argued that he should not be required to serve under a President who has not proven his eligibility for office.
It worked!
The military created shock waves by revoking the deployment order of Major Stephan Fredrick Cook without giving any reasons.

PELOSI IS NOT GOING TO PROVIDE 72 HOURS TO READ THE BILL – SEEMS SHE LIED SEP 24
http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2009/11/pelosi_breaks_pledge_to_put_he.asp
Pelosi Breaks Pledge to Put Final Health Care Bill Online for 72 Hours Before Vote
Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD that the speaker will not allow the final language of the health care to be posted online for 72 hours before bringing the bill to a vote on the House floor, despite her September 24 statement that she was “absolutely” committed to doing so.
House members are still negotiating important issues in the bill–whether it will provide taxpayer-funding for abortions, for example. Pelosi is pushing for a Saturday House vote, and a number of big changes will be introduced, likely less than 24 hours before the vote takes place (if in fact it does). The Rules Committee hasn’t yet released its resolution, or rule, that must be passed before the bill can move from committee to the floor. The rule will set the terms of debate and determine what amendments are in order.
————————————————————————————————————
OUTRIGHT LIE
Greta has given up on us I believe – if we do not protest Pelosi’s blatant lies perhaps we deserve the outcome. PLEASE call Pelosi’s office, call your Reps, email them and tell them we expect to be able to read the D*** Bill and we expect them to read and understand it before they vote (on Saturday?) and we expect AT LEAST 72 hours in which to do it. Thanks

freddiebrown,
One redeeming thing is the House passing the bill doesn’t mean the end. The Senate version still has to come out. Then the Senate and House have to wrangle out a final version. Then they both have to vote on the final combined version. Then and only then can the bill go to “O”.
The Senate has already said they may not have their version this year… thank goodness.
We still need to raise our voices so that these criminal liars know we are watching their actions and will VOTE THEM OUT if they vote for this bill.

freddiebrown. I don’t have healthcare coverage, my sister’s husband who has cancer and whose health insurance provides insurance for the family may run out very soon. My mother’s healthcare and prescription bills are exhorbitant every month. additionally, her employer is changing administrators of their healthcare plan which forces her to change doctors and probably prescriptions again! Honestly, I have a problem with Pelosi from last year but this woman has stood up and has continued to push for healthcare reform literally while republicans have mainly stood on the sidelines and said “no.” You should see the outrageous ads that are being run in W. Tennessee right now that are directed at Representative Tanner and are full of outright LIES!!! We’ve not gotten this far on voting on healthcare issues in a long time and even then it was for SCHIP. I don’t understand why you are so against this bill. I honestly can’t figure out if you’re against the bill or simply against Pelosi.
If this country isn’t going to stand up for single payer, then every damn employer SHOULD have to provide insurance and they SHOULDN’T get 4 damn years to START to get ready. Every INSURER SHOULD be required to accept EVERYONE and they SHOULDN’T get 4 damn years to wiggle, squirm, deny coverage, delay coverage, and do all the tactics that they do in order to get ready.
A 680 billion dollar defense bill was passed and no one blinked. When the Republicans don’t show up for committee meetings, when they didn’t allow anyone to read their legislation before voting, when they wrote the 1000 plus page patriot act that essentially disbanded our constitutional rights, no one complained. Now I realize that two wrongs don’t make a right but seriously, it’s time to stop messing around and start really passing some healthcare reform. The last time we TRIED to have healthcare reform, I was 15 years old. If this bill goes into effect with its current timetable, I will be 35 years old when it STARTS to go into effect and 38 or 39 when it is fully implemented.
I think we can strongly dislike Obama. I think we can even dislike Pelosi but this legislation is a decent attempt to correct for the highly unregulated insurance industry. Maybe later we’ll get single payer but this at least makes healthcare more accessible for all people. The problem with the CBO is that they don’t account for long-term savings by getting treatment to more people earlier and on a regular basis. All they can count is that person A cost zero dollars because they weren’t going to the doctor and now they’re going to cost X dollars because they have access and insurance to go to the doctor, which is totally ridiculous.
goofsmom 11.06.09 at 2:05 am
Hi clintondemocrat,
Yep, I have problems with Pelosi too. I also have a few problems with the HC bill. Finally, I also am without insurance and have a pre-existing.
I would like people to have time to read the bill before they vote. I would like them to understand what the bill will do before they vote.
With a bill of this size, there can be many loopholes and systemic problems with what is proposed. How can it be addressed before it is passed.
Example of loopholes and systemic problems with bills that are not read and understood. The 4 year old that applied for and was approved a $8,000 New home buyer credit.
I agree that we need all kinds of health care reform but feel that correcting the problems in the current system, removing Insurance companies ability to deny coverage to those with pre-existing conditions and a couple of other items of regulatory board for fees, oversight on Medicare and Medical fraud would be the best place to start.
Other items can be phase in as time goes on. To take money from Medicare starting now and not putting the HC CO-OP into effect until 2013 is not a good idea.
Just my 2 cents
clintondemocrat 11.06.09 at 2:14 am
thanks for your reply goofsmom. I agree about 2013 issue. I was pissed to find that out. I think it should go into effect immediately, just like Obama said when he was running that “people can’t wait another year for healthcare” and we’ll be waiting until after his “presumptive” re-election which is irresponsible and dangerous.
I agree, also, about the issues regarding Medicare. According to Democrats and an interview I saw on Bill Moyers, the overhead on Medicare was about 2%. If that’s all, then we aren’t really wasting money on Medicare and then there will be real cuts. If we can sustain these cuts while not having deep loss of access, then the overhead is greater than 2%. That is a descripancy that has been presented on both sides. But, even with all of that, I think the healthcare bill should pass, partially because I think that not passing something now will give us another 20-30 years before we get to it again.

goofsmom 11.06.09 at 2:28 am
clintondemocrate,
I agree completely with your concern re: if we don’t we never will. At the same time this bill just flat out scares me because frankly nobody really knows whats in it. I don’t even think the people touting it know what it says in its entirety.
Just think about it… different committees come up with sections of the bill. Then they take all the sections and kind of clump it all together. Then they throw in an addition 300 to 400 pages of amendments. After all that’s done, do the people on the different committees go back through and read what the other committees did to the bill. Did they even read the amendments that where added to the bill and how those amendments may have affected what they originally came up in with in their particular commitee.
The bill is over 2000 pages now… Even if Pelosi kept her promise and posted it online 72 hours prior to voting, how could any group of people read and really comprehend the complete ramifications of what they’re reading.
It just plain scares me with what they maybe agreeing to do with our health care and they don’t even know.
Would it hurt them to slow down and take a couple of weeks to read the bill, refine it and turn out something we could all welcome? That really all I’m asking for.
Pelosi and the House have time… the Senate version won’t be out for at least a month or two, so what would it cost them to be more cautious.
The only reason I see for the rush and hurry is because Pelosi made a promise to “O” to have the bill out and she is going to meet that deadline come hell or high water and damn the public along the way.

Oops Sorry for the extra “e” clintondemocrat…
clintondemocrat 11.06.09 at 2:49 am
goofsmom,
I think you’re right to have the concerns about multiple committees. My friend and I who sort of huddle together as what we feel are the only 2 real Democrats remaining in our local party sort of said the same thing. A few weeks ago the OFA/Local party were making phone calls asking people if they “supported Obama’s healthcare plan” and we sort of threw a fit about that language, politely approached the chair about the language and pointed out that there were currently 5 bills in 5 different committees, to which she responded, “oh no, there is only one plan and that’s Obama’s plan.” We decided not to bring it up again because she doesn’t know the difference between reality and Obamarhetoric.
But, anyway,No, I doubt the final version went back to any of the committees. Although, I tend to be pessimistic about everything regarding Obama, like I knew that he would wait until after the elections to announce anything regarding Afganistan, I honestly believe that the push on the healthcare bill is to try and get something passed this year because next year no one is going to be up for passing anything like this, because it’s an election year. I think the urgency has very little to do with Obama, in this case, and more to do with the political cycle. I also think 9 or 10 months is more than enough time to research and write legislation, when that is SUPPOSED to be your fulltime job. So, I agree we have concern. I agree that even a group of people would have a hard time coming back and merging all the information together to really understand everything, I agree that there is the possibility that the committees at this point don’t know how their amendments have or have not been affected by other committees but I’m so frustrated after waiting since I was 15 years old and seeing how this systems disciminates against the ill, the un-educated and under educated, the full-time workers who are full-time because they work 2 and three jobs but can’t get benefits anywhere, the poor, and anything else that isn’t going to pay in tons of money and not take out any benefits!
I’m also just pissed off with Republicans, especially, screaming about thousands of pages. My senator literally said to me “the age of the thousand plus page bill is over” riggggght. No, you just want the Democratic thousand plus page bill over but not the Republican. Anyway, I digress.
goofsmom 11.06.09 at 3:16 am
clintondemocrat,
You are right on the money about waiting for years for our government to get it’s act together and do the right thing for the public. Healthcare should be a priority and something that is passed.
I think the Republicans would still yell about the bill even if it was 5 pages. Especially if one of the pages said Insurers must cover anyone with pre-exsisting, that there would be a cap on fees Insurers can charge the public, and finally a cap on Malpratice lawsuits. So you don’t digress.
Sadly if they don’t get the Senates version out by the end of the year, the HC bill will get caught up in the 2010 election cycle anyway. That’s why I feel the House needs to clean up their version so it can be something positive, instead of being used as a political whip against each other.
I feel in some ways they have already started using it as a barometer for their campaigns next year anyway.
So sad and the public loses out again…
clintondemocrat 11.06.09 at 3:22 am

Hmmm well goofsmom, you bring up some good points, especially given where the Senate is right now. I still come to the same conclusion, I want a vote this year but you have some really good points and I think overall we agree and in the end we still have some 40 million Americans who need reliable healthcare.
You know, my aunt was very ill in the 90s with cancer. She died because of it. But, she was financially well off and yet the insurance dropped her at the climax of her illness. It took my uncle, who is quite wealthy, years to pay off those debts.
My brother in-law was on the phone fighting with the insurance company tonight!!!! over covering his medication to help with the side effects of chemo!!!! Totally outrageous.
I’m glad, goofsmom, that we had this conversation, though. I understand your point, now. I didn’t before now.
scarlet 11.06.09 at 3:32 am
Clinton democrat – How will Pelosi’s healthcare bill help with your concerns with health insurance/health care? If you don’t have health insurance now, under the bill you will be mandated to have it or pay a yearly penalty and employers will be mandated to give you health insurance or pay a yearly penalty which will be cheaper than covering their employees. It will phase in penalties for businesses that fail to provide insurance, starting at 2 percent for firms with a payroll of $500,000 and ending at 8 percent for businesses with a payroll of $750,000 or more.
I read the health care bill and don’t see how it will help you and that is the problem with the bill.

I have the same concerns. Have you seen Michael Moore’s Sicko? Compelling. I have also heard that the overhead on Medicare is about 2% and for private insurance companies more like 25%. The CEOs of the major companies, or the people sent in their place, admitted before a Congressional panel that coverage will be rescinded even if the patient made an innocent mistake, like failing to report a yeast infection. Thousands of people die because of lack of health care coverage. How do we call ourselves a civilized nation?
a friend told me she doesn’t want the government calling the shots on whether she gets health care. I told her, private insurance companies do that already! And they do it for profit so their criminal CEOs and execs can enjoy bonus money while people die because of their murderous policies.
HR 676 was the answer, but the Corporate State could never allow a bill to pass that required for profit health insurance companies to convert to non-profit status to do offer coverage.

I just heard the unemployment news:
U.S Unemployment rate at 10.2 % highest in 20 years. This does not include people who have got a part time job or who’s benefits have run out.
FoxNews.
As far as this hr bill, They need to slow it down. Let it be read thoroughly. What is the real rush, except to appease the fraud we now call the prez. Just look at how the government handled the swine flu pandemic and the current Medicare program. This bill is too big, it not only effects the uninsured, it effects the literally everyone in the health industry, future lively hoods of Medical Students and the way current physicians run their own medical practices. It will be total Government control with the help of the IRS, from huge corporations down to the small mom and pop business. It’s like having a chip implanted in every American, a tracking system. It will effect wages and benefits of every working American, our children and grandchildren long after we are dead.

I agree. This guy was shown in his muslim dress just hours before his rampage. He goes to a mosque. He is a shrink, Don’t you think it is possible that he did this to become some sort of martyr? They are talking about post traumatic stress, but he was never deployed. He did not want to be deployed, because he did not want to kill his own. He wanted to reap the rewards of the money and status of being a shrink and an officer on the American side, but remained a radical muslim on the other side. IMO

A video of the Muslim coward Malik Nadal Hasan, who before he gunned down real American soldiers went to get himself recorded probably at a 7/11.
Being a cynic, I wondered after watching this video, if he deliberately went to the corner store dressed in his Islamic costume to demonstrate his true allegiance to Islam; knowing full well that they have a camera running and thus he would be making this statement, “I will not go to war and kill my fellow Muslim brothers, I would rather kill Americans.”
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/6512832/Fort-Hood-shooting-CCTV-shows-Hasan-before-killings.html
And bravo to the female civilian cop who shot the coward Hasan without killing him, a true hero putting her life in peril for her fellow Americans soldiers.
Demonstrating women can protect this country just as good as any man and women need to have the same rights under the American constitution as the men do and thus the Equal Rights Amendment should be enacted immediately!

Yes I was watching that idiot Dr. Phil O’Shit on Larry King along with, (who the hell was that woman) and another guy who actually made sense. I’ts hard to tolerate any other news outlet other than Fox for more than a few minutes. I just go to CNN and MSNBC once in a while to see if there are any signs of lucidity. Seems they are still in denial.
****************************************
That woman was Shoshonne Johnson, a female POW captured in the early days if the Iraq war at the same time as the little blonde girl who the Bush admin tried to make a propaganda tool out of until she finally went public and told the real story of her capture. Shoshonne and Dr. Phil (who I do not agree with or watch) were upset because the other guest felt Hasan was simply a terrorist and was downplaying the PTSD angle. In other words, Shoshonne was defending the effects of PTSD. I know that Hasan had not been in combat, but they got upset because they thought the other guest was downplaying the role of PTSD in violence.

I did not catch the Glen Beck interview with Katie Couric when it was on tv, but i just now watched the fairly long segment of it, and other than Katie having a Sharon Stone moment while crossing her legs, I forced myself to watch the entire interview
and I must say, it turned out to be one of the best interviews i have seen lately, even i am in shock.

Fox tv is profiling Sgt Munley now, the police office who shot Hasan. Can someone explain to me why civilian police were called – what has happened to Military Police on our bases? Are they being replaced by private contractors?
sistermoon3 11.06.09 at 12:03 pm
#137 well, we have played to long at the fair with them peresphone, period, it’s time for the UN to get off their asses and the countries of the free world to send a loud message.
It’s armed and dangerous.
sistermoon3 11.06.09 at 12:06 pm
#159 they have always worked together, now more so than ever in these times where the cia and fbi now work more closely together
this is just a common practice now with towns and our military bases.
sistermoon3 11.06.09 at 12:08 pm
And let’s face it, Secret Service would be to no avail if civilian policemen and women were not a part of that scenario.
FLBarbara 11.06.09 at 12:11 pm
I posted #192 and this as to better understand that Hasan as a Muslim had an obligation.
It makes sense that after 911 he wanted out of the army, he was know being asked to fight his own.
If he took up a sword against his own he would rot in hell with his impending deployment the only way out for him was to do sadly as his religious belief required.
Qur’an:9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”
Qur’an:9:112 “The Believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed.” Qur’an:9:29 “Fight those who do not believe.
Ishaq:325 “Muslims, fight in Allah’s Cause. Stand firm and you will prosper. Help the Prophet, obey him, give him your allegiance, and your religion will be victorious.”

You misunderstood my question. It was why were civilian police called first? Of course fbi and secret service would not be a first responder, especially on a military base. And it has not always been common for civilian police to go on a military base.

Yes, most military installations now have civilian contractors/police at the front gates. My hubby retired after 23 yr in the military, and we still go to the base when we can. We have been surprised at the changes over the years.

Then why did he bother to “re-up”? Why didn’t he apply for Conscientious Objector discharge. Why didnt he just go AWOL. Why didnt he just commit suicide. Why didnt he go to Iraq and fight with his own against the US? He had plenty of options…
I hope he suffers a slow painful death. How about putting him in the middle of some arena and letting Fort Hood soldiers and the families of the now dead simply stone him to death? This punishment would be more closely aligned with his “religious” beliefs.

Good Morning Murphy and Pumas!
Sheroes!!!
AP:
“Army: Civilian Officer Shot Gunman, Ended Rampage”
Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said Friday that Fort Hood police Sgt. Kimberly Munley and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire Thursday afternoon. Cone said Munley shot the gunman four times despite being shot herself.

Cone also said he was inspired by a woman who helped carry a wounded victim and used her blouse as a tourniquet, then later realized she’d been shot in the hip.

Agreed testerone sucks.
But I got to wonder why the military did not heed the dangers in sending a Muslim to a war against his own that he had gone through official channels to avoid. That is putting the other soldiers at the front in danger. He could have been sent anywhere – why Irag? I think that is a valid question, even though his actions were ridiculous and obviously motivated by his religion.

If you make a career of the military… collect the $$$$, perks/benefits, etc. then it’s reasonable that you would be expected to participate in armed conflicts and wars, regardless of MOS. The one thing all military have in common at all ranks is weaponry and the training to use it.
Against his own?? Isn’t he an American citizen first and foremost? Didnt he swear an oath to protect and defend against all enemies foreign and domestic?
Don’t want to participate? Refund all the money taxpayers invested in your training and benefits.

I heard Iraq, but the story keeps changing, so you may be right. Agree to all your points, and don’t want to get into a military dispute here. With military all over the world, why did it have to be to the middle east when it put our other soldiers in danger? If not in danger, then you’re sending someone who may not give them the needed counseling they need because he is too torn between allegiances.

Obama: Don’t Jump to Conclusion on Fort Hood Shooting
By REUTERS
Filed at 11:44 a.m. ET
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama urged Americans on Friday not to jump to conclusions on the motive behind the mass shooting at the sprawling Fort Hood army base in Texas.
“We don’t know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts,” he said.
Obama also said he had met on Friday with officials including FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Nope when you give away everything you own before you turn murderous pretty much points to being premeditated.
Saw your comments and questions this morning about why he didn’t just get out of the service… you are right on the mark. He had ways to get out… he didn’t have to do what he did… He is a terrorist, plain and simple. The MSM can PC the story all they want to but the facts are the facts…

Meanwhile, while the whole country is captivated by this sad situation in Fort Hood , Texas…. Ms. Pelosi in tandem with Mr. Obama and his supporters are going to push this Health Bill through, come hell or high water. Something needs to be done.
There is strength in numbers, we must unite, all of us against those who want to take our freedoms away from us.
The large numbers who are out there protesting are showing us the way to go. If the hacks in Washington do not listen, soon these large crowds will be armed!

Murphy, I believe I understand the sentiment behind this blog. However, it deeply saddens me. I have agreed with you in the past, and supported PUMA. I like President Obama no more than you. However, I cannot ascribe to a website that takes advantage of a typical presidential speech to calm the nation in order prevent needless bloodshed and harassment of a minority peoples in the United States. I cannot agree with, or condone with your sentiment deprecating Muslims, or the religion of Islam in general. Your blog, as seen by the responses below has generated and flamed hostility in this regard. Please rectify it. Otherwise, I will be forced, with great reluctance, to remove the PUMA logo from my website.
