OOOOOOO! Love the bumper stickers! I’m sort of rooster-pecked and not allowed by my husband to put any on the car. (lip)

There are other ways to display your bumpersticker..Put it on a t-shirt with safety pins (so, when you wash your shirt you can replace it again) wear it where ever you go… another one, put it on your window guard.. the thing you put on your dash board to keep the heat off and up close against the window sheild…. also, you can attach it to your purse…. A friend of mine does that…. or, you can paste all bumper sticker on a flat cardboard (white background) and place it on your dash board of your car whenever you park use your visor to hold it in place…. Hope this helps… Just a few friendly suggestions…..

And, when some kid said to me ” Hey, you are suppose to give us candy”… I told him, yes I know… But, that 5 pound bag of candy that you already have is enought… I am just trying to save your teeth…… that was their response……

RememberNovember…. Everything went well…. Their parents greatly appreciated the gesture…. Really, no problem…. I know, Holloween is all about costumes and candy (it is one of my favorite holidays) But, I wanted to do something different…. And, yes the kids remember me…. But, in a good way…. And, of course this Holloween I will be handing out candy… Thank god I am NOT a sweet tooth… Not at all… I love Fruits and Veggies and Hot spicy things like Chilies…..

Thank you PumaRhythm for the link to “Sisters of ’77″! I was there as an observer on behalf of my local women’s group. The excitement of so many women coming together was incredible. The memory of that emotion is still so real, even after 32 years, that watching the conference footage brought tears to my eyes, especially the footage about supporting the resolution for the ERA. To realize that today the ERA still is not ratified and that women still face so many basic inequalities in all aspects of life is just appalling. Houston ’77 was a great beginning, but the WH never did anything meaningful re the Plan of Action on which the Houston IWY delegates worked so long and hard. Women must hold every elected official accountable at the voting booth. We’ve waited too long, and been too patient. Where are today’s feminists who will carry that torch forward? Where are the Betty Friedan’s, the Barbara Jordan’s, the Ann Richard’s, the Bella Abzug’s? Women want and need the ERA. No more waiting. What do we want? ERA! When do we want it? Now! Thanks again, PumaRhythm. You’ve brought back some wonderful memories and emotions.

This probably has more to with Palin envy than what Newt is saying, but I agree that if some Repubs keep trying to purge the party of all but the most deeply conservative, they are going to lose the party and Obama will be reelected.

I’m concerned about that, but imo Gingrich is positioning himself to run again, and he’s acting like the Repub patriarch…

Yes, we bought all handmade stuff . In this tiny tiny tiny place called Vesuvius I was told the simple aprons were made by a 93 year old lady. It was $2.50 each. OMG. It is very humbling knowing this.

It was very nice seeing all the Halloween and Fall decorations in the small towns. Hay bales and lots of pumpkins – folks do it up.. Not the same in the cities – many people don’t really get into it – at least not in San Diego – so boring.

Following up on the NY Times story I posted earlier today about CNN finishing fourth in cable news for the first time, the numbers are reaching us on the magnitude of CNN’s ratings decline from October 2008 to October 2009. Big events like last year’s election drove big viewership to CNN which has now substantially vanished.

Newt just doesnt get it, he is an insider, he’s mr. oh i know everything cause i have beent here, well hello Newt, that’s why you are NOT there anymore.
