RE: H.R. 3200 – Universal Health Care Bill

I am writing to strongly urge you to vote NO on H.R. 3200. While I support health care reform, I am adamantly opposed to ‘Government-run’ healthcare. This bill does not protect or respect my individual rights to privacy, choice of doctors or the ability to keep my current private insurer. This bill will also cause more layoffs in small businesses with the increased taxation.

Even though President Obama has tried his best to prevent everyone in the government from using the term “rationing”, it is clear that if enacted, this bill will indeed lead to health-care rationing and a huge budget deficit that will affect our economy for decades to come. President Obama will state that health-care rationing such as in Canada will not occur, but it is only common sense that if deficit spending must be controlled (and it should), then rationing in the government-run health care system is the only way to do that. He and Congress cannot continue to fool the American People.

We the People are insulted that our government thinks that we are so foolish that we cannot read the bill ourselves and see what the government is proposing.

I urge you to stop H.R. 3200 now and start over with a more sensible approach to a healthcare bill that will provide affordable, quality healthcare to those in need, yet will not bankrupt our nation and take away our constitutional rights.

Lastly, please do America a favor and READ all bills before voting on them!

Here is what I was just told…my son lost his insurance through my ex-husband last Aug…is finally getting it back Aug 1st. (thank god)…due to job lay offs, and not enough quarter work hours.

The union until Jan 2006 had always been self funded throught a board of trustee. In Jan 2006 they took out insurance with BCBS (hospital & Dr)..Sav-R- (drug program)..VSP (vision)..MetiLife (dental), and we are in Fl and it is written through GA..cheaper, but could do that under union rules…cross state lines. (thought that was a no no, but they did it)

Here is how it was explained..the way the plan is right now..if..or should I say when.. my ex gets laid off again. My son would loss his coverage and be requires to go through the goverment program.. because that would be a break or change in policy. You would not only loss your coverage but they would be unable to rewrite or pick you up once you meet quarterly hour requirements.
So the fact that my ex has worked for the union for 30+yrs..want mean SH*t..and this is how the take over of private insurance will happen. This is how the unions will switch everyone over, and you will have NO say in it.
An the time is NOW as he said..due to job loses and lay offs, they will move large numbers fast. That is why it has Union support. (inside inf older sons ex father-in-law)

Now rather than being pizzed, crying and getting angry, done all 3.. I am of the mind set that they WIN and all of US LOSE.
The take over of America, is happening now, and people do not even see it coming, or the ones that do can’t stop it!

Military planning for possible H1N1 outbreak

WASHINGTON (CNN) — The U.S. military wants to establish regional teams of military personnel to assist civilian authorities in the event of a significant outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, according to Defense Department officials.

The proposal is awaiting final approval from Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

The officials would not be identified because the proposal from U.S. Northern Command’s Gen. Victor Renuart has not been approved by the secretary.

The plan calls for military task forces to work in conjunction with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. There is no final decision on how the military effort would be manned, but one source said it would likely include personnel from all branches of the military.

It has yet to be determined how many troops would be needed and whether they would come from the active duty or the National Guard and Reserve forces.

As a first step, Gates is being asked to sign a so-called “execution order” that would authorize the military to begin to conduct the detailed planning to execute the proposed plan.

H1N1 is a method of control over the world populace that is being exploited as we watch. Right now, it’s use is in an experimental stage and the ability to contain it is being evaluated along with its effectiveness in alarming populations into submission to government intrusion.

In the near future, it will be used wherever it is needed to achieve geopolitical aims. It will be spread intentionally and used as an excuse to exert military control over the populace.

I know this sounds absurd, but if one follows the progression of the “Swine Flu Epidemic” and all it’s subtle machinations, I believe this outcome is quite plausible.

You all will think that I am crazy, but I was going to try to get into the Baltimore trial. That way if flu hits and my family can’t get the vaccine, I will be able to get out and get provisions without having to worry about the flu and they can stay home and eat cake. I’ll get stuff for all you in my PUMA family, too.

I am terrified that if this bill passes…my husband and others like him will be denied their cancer treatments. He is over 70 yrs. old so I guess they will just refer him to an “End of Life” counselor.

Scott Lambert, vice president of the Minnesota Auto Dealers Association, said he was “astounded” to learn at a meeting Tuesday representing about 150 Minnesota dealers that not one has had a deal approved.

“We had dealers representing 1,500 to 2,000 transactions,” he said. “We asked how many had a deal approved yet, and not one hand went up.”

Lambert said the government has created a program that’s “so big and cumbersome that it can’t find a way to accept anything. We’re sending in good, reliable deals.”

It’s nerve-racking for the dealers, he said, because they have given the customer $4,500 and now the dealers need to be reimbursed.

The poll has other bad news for Democrats and President Obama. The percentage of people who believe the country is on the wrong track has risen six points since April. The percentage of people who approve of the way Obama is handling the economy has dipped below 50 percent for the first time. The percentage of people who approve of his handling of the health care issue is 41 percent, with 46 percent disapproving. The percentage of people who have a positive opinion of Obama is down nine points since April. The percentage of people who say the president has strong leadership qualities, can be trusted to keep his word, will work with people of different viewpoints, is likable — all those numbers are down.

In sum, the poll results are bad news across the board for the president and his party. That doesn’t mean equally good news for Republicans; the people polled are still not ready to say they would rather have the GOP in charge. But all indications are that there is trouble ahead for Democrats.

The military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is an unjust, outdated, and harmful rule that violates the civil rights of some of our bravest, most heroic men and women.

That’s why I have been working, along with my colleagues in the Senate and so many of you, to overturn this wasteful and destructive policy.

Today, I have great news:  Senator Carl Levin, Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, has agreed to hold the first Senate hearings on repealing DADT this Fall.

We have to prepare for these hearings, so I’m launching a nationwide call to action.  My goal is to get thousands of people to stand with me and show that this country is ready to repeal DADT.
  I want to show my colleagues that America is ready to do the right thing.

Numerous military leaders are already telling us that this policy should be reversed. Having lost over 13,000 of our best and brightest to this policy, including over 800 in “mission critical” areas such as 10% of our Arabic and Farsi speakers, and wasting nearly $200 million in training and recruitment costs, the time for change is now.

We must all join together now and speak up on behalf of the brave men and women who only want to serve their country.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — It’s late July, a time for hot and humid weather in the nation’s capital. But when it comes to President Barack Obama’s approval rating, an average of the most recent national surveys indicates a cooling trend.

According to a new CNN Poll of Polls, 54 percent of Americans approve of how Obama is handling his duties in the White House. That’s down 7 points from late June, when the president’s approval rating stood at 61 percent. The latest approval rating is the lowest for Obama in his young presidency. The CNN Poll of Polls, compiled and released Thursday, is an average of seven national surveys conducted over the past nine days.

It appears a drop in Obama’s numbers on health care and the economy, the two issues that have dominated his domestic agenda since he took office in January, are contributing to the deterioration of his overall approval rating.

A CNN Poll of Polls of the five surveys that specifically asked about how Obama’s handing the economy indicates that 48 percent approve and 45 percent disapprove.
