Even if they have to lie, slander, and mock this woman with sex jokes, crazy jokes, bimbo jokes, slut jokes, and bad mother jokes every day for the next 3 and a half years, the BOIZ in our SCFP will do it. After all, it’s their JOB.

Violet Sox is excellent on the FOUR LESSONS women must learn from the Vanity Fair hit job on Sarah Palin. After making his sexist contempt for Palin’s very existence crystal clear(how DARE she be the KEYNOTE speaker at a local event in Evanston, Illinois? Who does she think she is, upstaging Michael Steele like that?), Todd Purdum asks this question, which gives his whole show away:

“What does her prominence say about the importance of having (or lacking) a record of achievement in public life?”

Is he fucking serious? Is Todd Purdum unaware of who the occupant of the White House is? Is he unaware of the (lacking) record of achievement of the previous occupant of the White House? Is Purdum unaware of the (lacking) record of MOST OF THE FREAKING members of Congress and half of the presidential candidates (Fred Thompson anyone?) last year?

Is he NOT AWARE that that question, which on the face of it seems like an interesting and important one to ponder, has already been answered beyond a shadow of a doubt? The walking, talking teleprompting answer to Purdum’s asinine and ridiculous question (Palin has an inarguable record of achievement in public life, you jackass) IS SITTING IN THE OVAL OFFICE RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE! What does THAT say Toddy-boy? That the American electorate is made up of a bunch of blithering idiots? Well, we already knew that after the 2004 re-election of W. You’re several years too late with this story Todd. But kicking public women in the teeth is a habit “journalists” just can’t seem to beat. Apparently it sells magazines.

Purdum squandered any willingness I might have had to read his article with an open mind with his continuous references to “sexiest” and “beauty queen” and “Naughty Monkey Double Dare pumps,” and “fertile” in his opening paragraphs, as well as his attempt to make Palin’s utterly mundane skill at posing for cameras look not only venal but also menacingly phony — Beauty Queen! ALL seasoned politicians are good at entering a room full of cameras and casually posing as they walk, Todd. From unlovely people like Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank to good looking ones like Bill Clinton and Jennifer Granholm. D’uh. But you know that Todd. You’re just rewriting reality to make it suit your political agenda. And that political agenda, one you share with everyone from Rachel Maddow to Frank Rich (and David Letterman and Jane Hamsher and on and on) is to KILL SARAH PALIN DEAD before the midterm elections.

Violet’s lessons are 100% correct and indispensable, but I urge you to remember this one fact: Rahm Emmanuel and his minions in the Obama Movement are trying to KILL SARAH PALIN DEAD before she can build up enough power to run against obama in 2012. Hold that fact in the front of your mind and everything you read in the SCFP and the Blogger BOIZ, or see on the mainstream media will suddenly be clear for what it is: a concerted effort to take her down.

Now, why should you care? That’s politics and it’s how winners win, right? And isn’t Sarah Palin a forced-pregnancy Republian? Yup. and yup. EXCEPT for a couple problems:

  1. The press should be free. A simple statement, naive if you will, but true nonetheless. The political efforts of the White House shouldn’t be being coordinated with help from the press — No matter which Party is in power.
  2. Even more importantly: the Obama Movement is going to take Sarah Palin down using the most sexist and misogynistic weapons they can. They can’t get her on ethics (as far as we know); they can’t  get her on flip-flopping or inconsistency; they can’t get her on charisma (though they can and do use Snob Appeal effectively, CONSTANTLY reminding us of how trashy she is); and getting her on politics isn’t all that effective since, minus her forced-pregnancy views (which aren’t all THAT radical methinks), Palin’s political views are fairly reasonable: She’s a good-government, small government, responsive government champion. And after the past eight and a half years, continuing into today with news breaking every ten minutes about corruption, compromise, and double-dealing in the Democratic Party, lord knows the people are ACHING for a champion like her.

So the BOIZ are going to have to do what they have to do to bring Sarah Palin down: Use their dildos.

Sorry to be coarse but I wish the boiz would be more open to their homosexual side. Their gender-identity attitudes reek of wanting to be done by, and wanting to do, their brother/daddy figures. Otherwise why would anyone in their right mind focus on genitalia and gender as an a reason to attack? Poor closeted fools.

I think because it works dwp. that’s the sad fact. and why I think we need to oppose it and treat it seriously as a threat to ALL women and girls who want more out of life than being a door mat, a sex object, or a “failed” sex object.

Hi Murphy and all PUMAs -

Ya know, I don’t give a good damm who runs for prez in 2012 but I think I have decided to do all I can to make sure it is Sarah Palin – tired of listening to talking heads saying she needs to do her ‘homework’ and be informed on international affairs – say what? just like the fuckin’ idiot occupying the big chair right now is so well informed??? – give me a fuckin’ break – I am also tired of women journalists hopping right up there to agree – what the hell do they know – do they even know about the people who live in the middle of this country – there are more of us than people on the west coast and the east coast (of course – there are ’selective’ people – you don’t all count) – piss on them all – don’t like either party and am sure she won’t change from repugs but I’m just getting tired of way women are being treated – old or young – doesn’t make any difference –

sending donation now -…………………….

All the potential 2012 Republican contenders are falling by the wayside lately. Ensign, Sanford, etc. Coinky-dinky, or…not? Paving the way for Jeb, maybe?

And so, that’s what I am doing.

Does anybody know what happened to the boyz?

So many people are concerned.

Thanks.

Cinie – am sure that all the hate directed at Palin from both democraps & repugs is to make sure that one of their ‘good ole boys’ makes it back into the WH – well sorry (airforcehusker & other male PUMAs – I like men) but I’m tired of a bunch of male incompetents running our country – we need a woman in the WH and I’m pretty sure Hillary will not be running in 2012 – so like I said – I’m pushing for Sarah – she’s one hell of alot smarter than the current pretendident(kudos to Cinie)

—————
Why does it work? Are women so male/power identified that they’re will to support and allow it? 51% of the population allowing the minority to demean women as a class? Do we have to sink to the level of the miscreants to counter them? Of course, the times we have resorted to gutter level attacks, the so-called feminist males and lackwitted women all rise to defend the android sub-section of males, with the standard “dyke” “man-hater” attacks in their futile attempt to shut down our voices.
Interesting that. Pathetic too.

16

Cinie 07.02.09 at 1:24 pm

I’m all for women having a fair shot, Susie, but I don’t think I could vote for Palin. If I learned anything from last year’s election it’s just how liberal I am, even if I can’t support the Democratic candidate, now pretendident.

17

airforcehusker 07.02.09 at 1:24 pm

Susie1945,

I think you misunderstood me. I am simply pointing out people that will be making a difference for the GOP in the future. But Sarah is the one i am 100% in support of for many reasons. Mostly becuase she isnt a politician, she is a person who struggled through college, never had huge financial support, raised a family and has common sense. Wouldnt it be great to have someone like us in the white house instead of at validicatorian from harvard, cornell or where ever the hell the brainiac came from…afterall with his superior intellect what has his hope and change done for america.?

18

DancesWithPumas 07.02.09 at 1:30 pm

where did Onowhereman come from… where are the records… show me the documentation … was he the validictorian of his class? How were his grades? Did he receive financial aid as a foreign student? Where are his IL senate records? And, yes, why the expensive fight to keep his birth cert hidden? Who is this lowlife useless lackwitted fraudulent cheating sack o crap?

Actually – I’ve discoverd that I am in the middle – there are some liberal things I support and there are some conservative issues that I am in favor of – course if we stay on the path currently beig mapped out by the pretendident and his buddies – we won’t have much of a country left to worry about and if that happens, start learning Chinese cuz they own us and there are one hell ofalot more of them than there are of us – heard one time that if they started marching the chinese into the ocean 1 hundred abrest they would never stop coming…………..or going – whatever…
I don’t like any of the repug men and the only dem I would be interested in is Hillary so what’s left……………

IMHO, if Sarah would cry or hang her head or slink off the scene or give any signal whatsoever that she had been defeated by this sexist onslaught, “they” would relent (In this case “they” will be used for the media, Obama worshippers and pigs pretty much interchangeably. If they don’t like it they shouldn’t be in bed together.).

Anyway, “THEY” would forget about her and move on. But she’d have to quit and admit defeat. You would eventually start to see the media doing sympathetic pieces about, “Whatever happened to that poor little governor who cried, blah blah blah?” Once she was no longer a threat, that is.

What they hate, what they have always hated about Hills, what they can not ever stomach is, a woman whom they can not control. “They” can only handle women on “their” terms, not on her terms. If she demands it, they become obsessed with making her bow down. How long did the media stay on the “I could have stayed home and baked cookies” comment? It had nothing to do with the campaign but “they” got their back up, “Who does this uppity bitch think she is?”

The right wingers were never going to support UHC, but the “Hillarycare Mania” was as much about sabotaging “HER” as it was about health care policy.

If this was normal politics Sarah would not be the focus of the media or the Obots anymore. How long was Jack Kemp vilified after he ran with Dole in 1996? John Edwards in 2004? Hell Snagglepuss Lieberamn in 2000? Nobody cares about the VP after it’s over.

The difference is Sarah is a girl and she fought them to a draw. They fought dirty and couldn’t get her down. It’s like when one boxer winds up and gives it everything he has and lands a haymaker on the other guys chin and the other boxer shakes his head and grins as if to say, “Nope, not even…” Sarah is like Jake LaMotta, “You never got me down you koolaid drinking sycophants, you never got me down…”

As long as she holds her head up, like Hillary always has, she will be a target. She will also, like Hillary, still be in the game.

One last point and movie reference, Governor Palin reminds me of Commander Peter Quincy Taggart of the NSEA Protector (Galaxy Quest…and yes my nerd is definitely showing), “NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!” That’s what they can’t take. When the media decides to destroyed someone they get awfully P.O.’d when that person refuses to be dismissed. And when that person is a woman they they lose all perspective and scope. It becomes pathological.

And you know what, I think “THEY” will give up and beg for mercy before Palin does.

Rick Perry Texas is another name that will be a force in a couple of years. Mark that one down.
————-

I already did mark Rick Perry down and crossed him off. He is a force already (not in a good way, IMO). In 2007, he had letters from parents from all over the country getting in touch with him because of his executive order. I think because of the overload of complaints he got, the lobbyist from Merck stopped trying to get other states to make the HPV vaccine mandatory.

February 07, 2007

On Friday, Feb. 2, Texas governor Rick Perry issued an executive order that bypassed the will of the people and the entire Texas legislature, mandating the vaccination of young girls with the HPV vaccine sold by Merck — the same drug company that reportedly gave thousands to Perry’s campaign efforts.

The “dirty money connection” seems obvious to many readers who have been following this story, including one who posted, “Only a man, Rick Perry especially, would sign an executive order, bypassing legislation, to inject girls with chemicals made by one of his contributors even though most parents have never seen sufficient information about this vaccine. Perry should be impeached as a threat to the safety of our children.”

http://www.naturalnews.com/021572.html

I would never support Rick Perry for anything. He is no better than the rest of the crooked politicians. In my effort to refresh my memory about Rick Perry, I found the info that I wanted to share on the link posted.

34

michelina 07.02.09 at 2:04 pm

Fuck them. If she runs, I’ll do everything I can. She can beat this POS in 2012.

Most of the big non-profits are too busy trying to get bigger & hire more staff than actually helping people who actually need it
this past weekend my sister, ex-sister-in-law and me had a girl’s weekend – sisterinlaw was telling me about this guy she knows who is way overweight and has serious health issues becuz of it but isn’t gonna to a doctor for the health issues becuz the condition is curable and he would have to lose some weight but then he would have to get a job and he doesn’t wanna work so is gonna continue to sit on his big fat ass and collect welfare while others work so that he can sit and gloat…………. unfortunately there are a lot of assholes like that

Hi Murphy et. al., thanks for the help!! I think it is a quiet day over all with folks out of town for holiday. The youth factor is the only way we can truly move anti-sexism forward, so reaching out is a big help! Many thanks for those who want to weigh in!
RE Vanity Fair:
FemiSex is all about the media outlets. We work in media. I would say it is more a function of Graydon Carter than the sexist Todd. By the time an article (political) has reached the final stages it is Graydon all the way. He will fix and fuss words of any author to hurt women alpha s. If Todd goes another who is willing to use sexism to please will step in, courtesy of Graydon. Graydon Carter is one of media’s most sexist men. It would be a very good thing to see him go and be replaced. Who…is the question. What woman is brave enough to take on sexism in the media and yet powerful enough to have the chance?

I will carry Sarah Palin on my shoulders to the White House if I have to, stopping on the way to grind my high heel into Robert Gibbs’ brain.

From this day forward, I will put a few dollars aside every time the media takes a swipe at Palin-and I’ll send that money to her when she announces her primary run. And then I’ll send her some more.
FUCK the boys club. And FUCK Vanity Fair.

Sarah Palin IS the people-the real deal.
If we’re going to start electing women, why not start with this one?

She’s a competent and intelligent.
She’s strong, brave, and even-tempered.

She’s humble. (Try claiming THAT, Obama!)
She excels at her job as Governor of Alaska. (90% approval rating)

And she’s tough.
If we’re ever going to get a woman into the White House, we know she will need to be TOUGH.

I hope American women are able to cut through the lies and smears and support this woman.
She may be the last chance we have to take our country back.

“They think of us as an ecclesiastical work force,” said Sister Sandra M. So our vision of our lives, and their vision of us as a work force, are just not on the same planet.”

If HRC resigned the SOS post, declared herself an Indie, and ran in 2012, I’d have to support her.
First I’d need to know she was really going to “challenge the status quo,” as Palin says.
I’d want to see a gleam in her eye.
But I seriously doubt Hillary will run for president again.

A far as the Greenies-they’d need a powerhouse of a candidate.
I won’t support a candidate unless they really have what it takes to win. Barack Obama must be a one-term president.
This is a 911.

Palin will have the resources of the Republican Party. That’s a war chest.
And if she runs against Obama she will need every penny of that.

Let’s not forget that Obama has a MACHINE, and it will quickly swallow up a candidate that can’t compete financially.

I’m going to support the woman who can win.

BRA- FUCKING-VO Violet Socks!

from murphy’s link above, the four lessons/
my fav part in boldface:

So, lesson number one: Women running for political office need to stay the hell away from male campaign strategists. If it has a dick, don’t hire it. Just stay away. I realize that sounds unfair, but the problem is there’s just no telling how much of a bruised male ego any one of these clowns is carrying around in his pants. He might say his job is to get you elected, and he may even believe it, but deep inside his tiny brain there may lurk a resentful sexist pig who feels compelled to undermine lady-parts people. Patriarchy is strong.

Lesson number two: The media is not your friend. Ever. They all hate you. Doesn’t matter if you’re a Republican or a Democrat, liberal or conservative, pro-choice or anti-abortion, brilliant or mediocre, young or old, pretty or plain. If you have lady parts, they hate you.

Lesson number three: This has nothing to do with politics. So-called progressives don’t hate Sarah Palin because she’s a Republican; they hate her because she’s female. Check out all the liberal blogs that are joyfully citing the Vanity Fair piece and commiserating with their new best friend, Steve Schmidt. Notice that Steve Schmidt is a Republican and a Rovian insider who helped re-elect George Bush in 2004. He oversaw PR for the Alito and Roberts confirmations, acted as Dick Cheney’s spokesman for awhile, and ran Governator Schwarzenegger’s campaign in 2006. His politics are the same as Palin’s. But he has a dick, and Todd Purdum of Vanity Fair has a dick, and the progressive bloggers have dicks, and thus they can all join hands across the political aisle to wank each other off in their mutual hatred for a lady-parts person.

Lesson number four: Feminists of the youth persuasion who still haven’t figured out lessons one through three need to school up. Joining in with the Palin-bashing and the rest of the woman-bashing in the culture doesn’t get you a pass; it doesn’t make you an honorary man. You’re still a lady-parts person, and the dudes will as soon destroy you as Sarah Palin.

well, Graydon owns Waverly Inn in the Village. It is his court, although his is not holding court the way Elaine does uptown.
But really we need to focus on getting women in top editor spots in massive numbers so they will not feel the need to succumb to peer presure.

Finally, something that intimidates President Barack Obama: a bunch of tween girls.

The president talked about his family’s plans for the July Fourth holiday during an AP interview Thursday, and revealed that Camp David had been invaded by about 20 girls there to celebrate daughter Malia’s 11th birthday on Saturday.

“There are 24 double-X chromosomes up in Camp David as we speak,” Obama said. “It’s a little intimidating.”

Passed to me from a friend on another political board but the thought came up with a what if??? Think about this when dealing with the obamabot wackos……..
Putting things into perspective: What If George W. Bush had …

——————————————————————————–

Enjoy!

What If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to “Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the Fifth of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had misspelled the word advice would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potato as “proof” of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on “Earth Day”, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually “get” what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he is inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all this in 10 weeks — so you’ll have three years and nine-and-a-half months to come up with an answer.

A political science major should know what language is spoken in Austria. It’s UNBELIEVABLE. And I don’t believe for a minute he got thru Harvard without major tutoring from MO and couldn’t have written his books without ghostwriters like Ayers and Favreaux.

Hey PUMAS!

Just ran acroos this piece of info. I’ll be closey watching how the Maloney vs. Gillbrand potentially evolves:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton will headline a fundraiser for New York Rep. Carolyn Maloney, who is challenging Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in New York’s Democratic primary.

A spokesman for Clinton, Matt McKenna, says Clinton’s attending a July 20 fundraiser.

Clinton has not endorsed in the race, but his attendance could be seen as a snub to White House-backed Gillibrand. Clinton also did a fundraising event for Gillibrand after she was appointed to the Senate seat to fill the vacancy left when Clinton’s wife was named secretary of state.

Both candidates supported Hillary Rodham Clinton’s failed presidential bid, and he’s made a point of thanking supporters.

Maloney has not formally announced her bid, but an adviser has said she’s running.

Maloney was my first choice, but I’m not in NY.
My rant on the economy for the day: This recession and this deficit belong to the BO and Democratic administration. Bush had his deficit problems, which were caused by war spending. BO is not blamed for that tiny part of the new deficit. These new economic problems were caused by Dem policies: pro-ACORN, pointless spending, and corruption. They own it! It is criminal mismanegement. He and they (Barney, Dodd…)are guilty.

HI PUMAs

Just thinking about sexism and misogyny and was wondering if men are from Mars and women are from Venus, then could we say that men who hate women suffer from VENUS ENVY. LOL

131

Headclunker 07.02.09 at 9:04 pm

The misogynistic bashing of Sarah Palin has reached the level of TOTALLY SICK. What losers. And they are losing.

The Rasmussen BO Approval Index is at -2% again today.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/obama_administration/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

And the average over the last week is ZERO. He is officially ZILCH.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/31592459@N08/3683324812/

And, if there are any lurking Obots that prefer Gallup, here is the comparison of the Approval Index, based on Total Approval/Disapproval.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/31592459@N08/3683326534/

Now, you cannot compare the results based on the Strongly Approve/Disapprove because Gallup does not publish them. Looking at the totals, the trends are virtually identical. The difference of 15-20% is the portion that would be considered subjective. Another reason to track the “strongly” numbers. They also tend to predict trends sooner.

Ozero in the Oval Office.

Everything going on in the news is nuts… Politicians are fakes, phonies and liars… 2012 is to far away for me to decide now on who to vote for and we have lots of time for research… I’d rather focus on the Stupids we have in office and in the press… That way maybe, just maybe we can learn the truth about any candidate running in 2012.

Received response from Senator Boxer re: Crap and Trade

Dear :

Thank you for contacting my office to express your views on H.R.2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, which was passed by the House on June 26, 2009. This comprehensive legislation aims to limit greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency, and promote alternative energies. Please know that I value your concerns and will keep them in mind as the Senate begins its consideration of this bill.

I believe that all citizens should become involved in the legislative process by letting their voices be heard, and I appreciate the time and effort that you took to share your thoughts with me. One of the most important aspects of my job is keeping informed about the views of my constituents, and I welcome your comments so that I may continue to represent California to the best of my ability. Should I have the opportunity to consider legislation on this or similar issues, I will keep your views in mind.

For additional information about my activities in the U.S. Senate, please visit my website, http://boxer.senate.gov. From this site, you can access statements and press releases that I have issued about current events and pending legislation, request copies of legislation and government reports, and receive detailed information about the many services that I am privileged to provide for my constituents. You may also wish to visit http://thomas.loc.gov to track current and past legislation.

Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. I appreciate hearing from you.

Maybe I missed it but is their a prowl being done to the AARP about Gibbs laughing off the elderly reporter. She had a legitimate question and he was treating her like a petulant child. I called the AARP but couldn’t find an email address. How can they stay silent. The Pilsbury Doughboy was flat out offensive. have to wonder if Alinsky’s methods have ever been studied from the other side, ridicule your oppenent disable them by laughing at them– maybe it works for a short time but damn it that woman asked a legitimate well thought out question and he openly laughed at her. Makes me want to champion a Palin all the more.

Got this from Casey in PA
Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding climate change. I appreciate hearing from all Pennsylvanians about the issues that matter to them most.

The international scientific community concluded human activities that add a large amount of heat-trapping greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, to the atmosphere are a leading cause of climate warming. I believe Congress must take action to reduce and eventually reverse the hazardous effects of climate change, including extreme weather, famine, population displacement and the escalated spread of disease.

The House of Representatives recently considered global warming legislation. H.R. 2454, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, introduced on May 15, 2009 by Representative Henry Waxman of California and Representative Ed Markey of Massachusetts, takes a comprehensive approach to reducing greenhouse emissions through a number of proposed programs, such as capping carbon emissions, renewable energy requirements and energy efficiency standards. H.R. 2454 passed the House on June 26, 2009. When this bill comes before the Senate, it is likely that the Senate will divide the contents into two separate pieces of legislation, one focused on global warming policy and one on energy policy.

As the Senate considers global warming legislation, I will continue to advocate strongly for the people and the economy of Pennsylvania. In fact, I have introduced a bill focused on climate policy, S.1134 the Responsible Use of Coal Act, focused on carbon capture and storage technology. I am also working on a program which provides assistance to workers as they train for new clean energy jobs in a transitioning economy. In addition, I introduced a budget amendment for funding to help accelerate research and development of carbon capture and storage technology in the fiscal year 2010 Budget. Throughout the upcoming debate I will continue to fight to ensure that clean coal is included in the national strategy to reduce carbon emissions, and that affordable electricity and assistance to ratepayer programs remain available. It is of great importance to me that American families are not left behind as the country addresses the challenge of global climate change.

As a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, I am also closely monitoring international negotiations leading up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this December. I believe that a global agreement is necessary to alleviate rising energy prices, to transform the world economy, and to protect our national security.

If done properly, our national global warming policy will reverse the global environmental impacts of man-made greenhouse gas emissions while cultivating new clean energy jobs, re-energizing the manufacturing sector in Pennsylvania, and revitalizing the national economy. Please be assured that I will keep your views in mind as I continue to work with my colleagues in the Senate to develop climate legislation that will help Pennsylvania’s workers and economy.

Again, thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future about this or any other matter of importance to you.

If you have access to the Internet, I encourage you to visit my web site, http://casey.senate.gov. I invite you to use this online office as a comprehensive resource to stay up-to-date on my work in Washington, request assistance from my office or share with me your thoughts on the issues that matter most to you and to Pennsylvania.

Sincerely,
Bob Casey
United States Senator

From up thread:

All the potential 2012 Republican contenders are falling by the wayside lately. Ensign, Sanford, etc. Coinky-dinky, or…not? Paving the way for Jeb, maybe?
**************************************
Is this why W has been keeping his mouth shut since he left the WH, the family has told him not to screw up Jeb’s chances. Makes perfect sense to me so I’ll have to watch old Jeb a lot more closely from now on.
***********************************************

The sad part is even though Palin drew huge crowds she was only on the ticket because the Repubs saw how hard Dem women worked to get their candidate elected. The Repubs weren’t pushing Palin, they were pushing McCain and him not all that hard.

I don’t think either party wants a viable female presidential candidate. They don’t want a self consciously feminist voting block, just people they can move around the parchisi board on various issues. The last few elections have been decided by the gender gap and they all want to control it.

These vicious, public, sexualized attacks on HRC and Palin are like gang rapes that create a bond among men, intimidation of “alpha” women (great word) and a repudiation of the women by other women (at least that’s the way it’s supposed to work).

And yes, I think the plan is to get Jeb in the WH. He will look like a model of performance and sobriety compared to the junk the Repubs have to offer. I doubt we’ll be hearing “dynasty” from the repubs in 2012.

Persephone

I agree with you and I too will support Sarah Palin now and until she becomes president. I now have far more respect for her than Hillary or Bill Clinton who proved that there were NOT above party politics, when they sold their souls and campaigned for The One over their respected and honorable friend John McCain.

When I hear people’s adversion to Palin I have to ask them; do they think that it was George W. Bush’s lack of intelligence or “Christianity” that made him a terrible president. Anyone who would believe that is in no position to question anybody’s intelligence. Bush was a horrible president because he was a connected through his elite family who’s power was such that they could usher in this “New World Order” with ease and hubris.
C.I.A. father ex-president began the war in Iraq, which never ended, only became a kind of declared war when Bush Jr. got in.
The Bush’s ties with the Saudi royal family are about as deep as you can get without actually being part of that group that bows to Saudi Royalty. George W. Bush was the ultimate insider. Sarah Palin is the ultimate outsider.
She has never played party politics and will go against corrupt politicians in her own party.
She is much more progressive than most democratic leaders as she has required Exxon-Mobil to profit share with her constituents.
She negoitiated what will be Americas biggest engineering effort-the natural gas pipe line from Alaska to the lower 49-clena energy. She declined the priveledge of a private jet and instead flys commercail; now if only Al Gore would walk that walk.
She has appointed a pro-choice judge to Alaska’s supreme court, so who cares what her moral-religious beliefs are, this is America not the Soviet Union.
She tripled funding for special needs children in her state, contrary to the lies CNN’s Soledad O’Brian reported.
She does not tolerate misogyny or sexism and fights like a grizzly when confronted with it. As far as I know she is not married to a womanizing, sexual harasser who gave or denied promotions to women under his employ based on sexual favors- Sorry, Clintons.
Sarah Palin is a self made women who is intelligent in all the right ways. She had the strength of character to give a child with Downs syndrome a chance at life; probably her biggest crime to the radical new liberals.
Sarah Palin is one of the best public servants this country has.
She knows what life is like for working class people raising a family. She has been sucessful in everthing she has taken on from small business owner of a private fishing fleet to mayor to energy secretary of Alaska to wildly popular govenor of Alaska.
This liberal democrat thinks she is as wonderful as Ralph Nader and Dennis Kucinich only she had to get were she is today without the benefit of a penis which makes her sucess even more admirable then theirs.
Richard Nixon was an intellectual, ‘don’t remember him being such a great president.
Obama-well they tell me he is an intellectual. I think he is as stupid as George Bush and certainly as Saudi approved as any Bush.

His letter refuses to acknowledge the TRADE part of cap and trade, and I will be emailing him again to stress the issue of the new bubble prone derivitives market that will allow taxation without representation by elitist’s company’s such as Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management.

yeah, i cant see Jeb having any chance whatsoever. u really think he has a chance pumabear?

plenty of liberal women have had children with Down’s Syndrome. Women who pile on with the sexist onslaught against Palin are not making a rational decision to HATE her for having a child with Down’s Syndrome. They’re not thinking at all. No liberal women think Down’s Syndrome children should die or be killed.

for lords sake — women believe the STATE has no justifiable right to dictate where, when, how, or with whom we bear children. It has nothing to do with how much we love children or want to have them or not.

That is all. Most pro-choice women are mothers. Almost ALL women love children, Down’s Syndrome, cleft palette, birth defects and all.

Liberal women dont want to kill down’s syndrome babies for goodness’ sake!
