Way off topic, so far off it’s funny.
While reading about the swine flu I wanted to google surgical masks to see if they are available in case things get worse. A few links down the line I ran into this Chinese product, nose plugs.
I can’t understand a word of it (maybe it’s Japanese), but there is a cute young woman, showing how to use them at work, while riding your bike near car traffic, and even if you have a runny nose.
So my question is, if you have a runny nose and put in these plugs, do your ears blow off when your nose is full?

Is it just me, or does it seem every time I turn on the TV there’s that ugly mug again lecturing the American public in that arrogant, pompous, self-absorbed, nauseting pseudo-gravite (put an accent the “e,” hold your nose in the air and say grahv-eee-teh!)….on some little piddling detail he’s just come up with and wants to “share” with us? Talk about someone who just can’t get enough of themselves on TV! Every adolescent Idol wannabee’s dream come true. OBie’s livin’ the dream, man! What a lucky dude!

Sad thing is it looks like the network execs are getting a little fed up. His game is starting to cost them big bucks.

I’d much rather see the entertaining version of “Lie to Me” on FOX, instead of the White House version on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC yada yada yada….

Just getting so sick of seeing that ugly mug on TV everytime I blink!

No. I think they’re only taking his free TV time off the regular FOX entertainment channel. I think he’ll still be available on FOX cable….somewhere, but they ain’t messin’ with their “regularly scheduled programming,” especially during Sweeps week….

Mexico faces criticism over swine flu response

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Two weeks after the first known swine flu death, Mexico still hasn’t given medicine to the families of the dead. It hasn’t determined where the outbreak began or how it spread. And while the government urges anyone who feels sick to go to hospitals, feverish people complain ambulance workers are scared to pick them up.

A portrait is emerging of a slow and confused response by Mexico to the gathering swine flu epidemic. And that could mean the world is flying blind into a global health storm.

Despite an annual budget of more than $5 billion, Mexico’s health secretary said Monday that his agency hasn’t had the resources to visit the families of the dead. That means doctors haven’t begun treatment for the population most exposed to swine flu, and most apt to spread it.

It also means medical sleuths don’t know how the victims were infected — key to understanding how the epidemic began and how it can be contained.

Below is an interesting email concerning the painting from a friend of mine

I think the painter is having a lot of fun with the messiah theme. Look at the goofy smile on Obama’s face. My interpretation is that the painter sees Obama pretending to be a messiah which he is doing because he has the seal of the US behind him. Christianity says that at the time of the crucifixion the great curtain in the temple was torn in half. This parting of the curtain by Obama’s hands makes it seem as if he is duplicating the situation to make a entrance. I think the smile on Obama’s face is the big clue.

I can’t watch face of that IDIOT without getting sick, his voice irritates me, one time I heard his voice on TV, I had to hug the toilet and puke my guts out. I don’t want to see his face or listen to his voice, it’s worse than running your fingernails on chalkboard.

Good on FOX! My friend in NY today was very angry, she was one of the people who ran out of the building. NYers are ticked off with that idiot in the WH, so insensitive! What a bastard!

Evening everyone-just a thought. This time last week hardly anyone was even talking about the swine flu. Now, it is nonstop in all media. Either this is a real threat and should be taken very seriously, or it is a reasonable concern that should be attended to with general precautions. Each year a certain percentage of people will sadly die from the seasonal flu. But my question is why is the press blitzing this to such proportions that other stories are being buried? What news or event is being hidden? (North Korea, Pakistan, Iraq) It feels like a diversion to me, a convenient crisis, something meant to distract us from something else. Just a thought. over and out-goodnight PUMAs.

Police have started to arrest some of the disabled protestors picketing outside the White House right now. Almost all of the 400 demonstrators are in wheelchairs.

“Shame on you, Obama is a liar! Shame on you, Obama is a liar!” some are chanting.

They’re here from all over the country — Texas, Montana, New York, Pennsylvania — to protest what they see as President Obama not sufficiently supporting the Community Choice Act, a bill that would amend the Social Security Act to provide those with disabilities and older Americans the ability to use federal funding for community-based attendant services instead of just for nursing homes.
