So, obama attempts to appease Republicans by tossing the one expenditure in his Stimulus Swindle that might have done a hell of a lot of good for poor and working class women out the window for NOTHING. Not one Republican blinked in the House yesterday, making obama’s sales call to Republicans onCapitol Hill Tuesday (Women’s Rights for Sale! Good Deals!) look rather pathetic on top of exposing his political IMPOTENCE. Universal Health Care is STILL off the table, and now we hear word that:
- Obama is considering making the Bush tax cuts, even those for the mega-rich, PERMANENT
- Obama may add MORE TAX CUTS to the Stimulus Swindle to appease Republicans there.
- So we get a Massive Spending Increase, the stuff Republicans’ NIGHTMARES are made of
- AND
- Massive Tax Cuts, the stuff Democrats’ NIGHTMARES are made of.
It’s a miracle. Obama’s not a Democrat, but he’s not a Republican either. He’s a Mutant Corporatist Freak, the WORST of Both Worlds.

One last thought. WHERE’S HE GOING when this is all over.
You think he’s going to say, OH WELL< LOST this one and let
it go.
Do you think all the dirt he probably has on them, they’ll just
say OH WELL, now it’s OVER ————–NAAAAHHHHHH!!!
He should just hang them and be done with it,
as things stand he lives in a VERY Precarious, and possibly
DANGEROUS life, knowing the things he knows.
For things to BEGIN to tumble, he must be impeached,
as he should be.

Well, the banks do have to be paid since their money played a major role in this election. Did notice that for a brief time I wasn’t getting any credit card offers in the mail, but since the bailout passed, the credit card offers are once again flowing. However, more credit cards are not what this country needs.
BigCatLover 01.29.09 at 4:41 pm

All I can figure is they want to put your money to work for them. Have to be careful with those offers though as they might try to charge additional fees for services one would think are free, require high minimum balance, etc.

PROWL done to my Democrat senators, Webb and Warner. Thanked my Republican Rep. yesterday.
I was listening to Rush a little this afternoon, and he went off on Obama turning the heat up to 78 or so in the WH while he tells the American people that we are going to have to sacrifice with lower heat temps in the house, etc. Apparently, he is sweating everyone out. It’s because he has no meat on his bones to keep him warm. This guy was just complaining yesterday about D.C. closing schools because of snow since they don’t do that in Chicago. Welcome to the East Coast Bambi! Yet, he cranks up the heat in the WH because his little body is cold.

I believe Obama is trying to do this because of military lawsuits that may be filed against him being a usurper in chief and that the military does not want to obey his orders. This needs to be a Major Prowl.

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is extremely frustrated with orders that the White House is contemplating. According to sources at the Pentagon, including all branches of the armed forces, the Obama Administration may break with a centuries-old tradition.
A spokesman for General James Cartwright, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration wants to have soldiers and officers pledge a loyalty oath directly to the office of the President, and no longer to the Constitution.
“The oath to the Constitution is as old as the document itself.” the spokesman said, “At no time in American history, not even in the Civil War, did the oath change or the subject of the oath differ. It has always been to the Constitution.”
The back-and-forth between the White House and the Defense Department was expected as President George W. Bush left office. President Obama has already signed orders to close Guantanamo and to pull combat troops from Iraq. But, this, say many at the Defense Department, goes to far.
“Technically, we can’t talk about it before it becomes official policy.” the spokesman continued. “However, the Defense Department, including the Secretary, will not take this laying down. Expect a fight from the bureaucracy and the brass.”
Sources at the White House had a different point of view. In a circular distributed by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, the rationale for the change was made more clear.
“The President feels that the military has been too indoctrinated by the old harbingers of hate: nationalism, racism, and classism. By removing an oath to the American society, the soldiers are less likely to commit atrocities like those at Abu Ghraib.”
“We expect a lot of flak over this,” ! the clas sified memo continues. “But those that would be most against it are those looking either for attention or control.”
The time frame for the changes are unknown. However, it is more likely that the changes will be made around the July 4th holiday, in order to dampen any potential backlash. The difference in the oath will actually only be slight. The main differences will be the new phrasing. It is expected that the oath to the Constitution will be entirely phased out within two years.

Ex-DemInVA This is very frightening. The next constitutional change he will made is that a president will not have to be a natural born citizen; and they are trying to pass a law to do away with term limits. I read a month or so ago that once Obama was elected, we would not be able to get rid of him. And I’m beginning to believe it. With all the constitutional changes and ACORN, this is a nightmare.
I think we need to contact our congress and tell them we are against this highjacking of the constitution.

I agree with ladyhawkke that this MUST be a major prowl. Our military belongs to the United States of America — it IS NOT That One’s personal army. Our military MUST continue to take the oath to preserve our Constitution; requiring them to take an oath to an individual is a path to dictatorship.

Blago Is Right: His Trial Is Completely Unfair
By Tommy De Seno – Attorney/Writer
“Whatever disagreement there may be as to the scope of the phrase ‘due process of law’ there can be no doubt that it embraces the fundamental conception of a fair trial, with opportunity to be heard.”
I don’t know if Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich did something wrong, and neither do you.
We are a nation of laws, and that’s not a burden. Why do we set up procedural safeguards in criminal trials? One reason: To make sure the proceeding can find the truth.
Pundits are pointing out that this isn’t a criminal trial, so the Illinois Senate is free to set up rules that are less stringent than those in a criminal trial. — That’s like saying you don’t need a batting helmet during practice because it isn’t yet the big game. Sorry but the 90 mph fastball will still kill you if it hits your temple.
The right to call witnesses is not a burden we “have to put up with” in a criminal trial. It’s there because we can’t find truth without it.

“With Al Due Respect, We’re Doomed”
“The lawmakers gazed in awe at the figure before them. The Goracle had seen the future, and he had come to tell them about it.
What the Goracle saw in the future was not good: temperature changes that “would bring a screeching halt to human civilization and threaten the fabric of life everywhere on the Earth — and this is within this century, if we don’t change.”
The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, John Kerry (D-Mass.), appealed to hear more of the Goracle’s premonitions. “Share with us, if you would, sort of the immediate vision that you see in this transformative process as we move to this new economy,” he beseeched.”

WASHINGTON – If you’re a criminal and you’re not entitled to be in the United States, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano wants you out of the country. Napolitano wants what she calls “criminal aliens” off American streets. She is looking at existing immigration enforcement programs to see if taxpayers are getting the most bang for their buck.

White House Unbuttons Formal Dress Code
By SHERYL GAY STOLBERG
New York Times
January 28, 2009
WASHINGTON — The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.
“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”
This from a man who said:
“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.
“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.

There’s no way the election results are going to change.” This is deeply unfair to both Coleman and the voters of Minnesota.
We weren’t particularly impressed with Coleman’s recount strategy; he was outsmarted and out-hustled by Franken’s lawyers, as they busily went about discovering new Franken votes while Coleman—futilely, it turned out—tried to sit on his narrow lead. Coleman now trails by 225 votes, the tiniest of margins in the context of the election’s 2.8 million voters, but at this stage a huge Franken lead for Coleman to try to overcome. Nonetheless, Coleman deserves his day in court. The whole time Franken was trailing in the recount, Democrats were braying that every vote had to be counted. Now that Franken is ahead they have lost all interest in determining whether all legally cast ballots have indeed been counted (and whether some have been double-counted

REVENGE OF THE PUMA
All of you who have been suffering through the 659 page Pork Package should know that we are getting vindication. I sent in the last state supplement to the FEC (BO is forwarded a copy) and the total pages sent for the Post-General supplement came to 546 pages. Now, the Pre-General complaints would have been about half that, bringing our total to over 800 pages! PUMA!
I can just see all the Obot’s now – hopping up and down with denials and blaming each other. Those number are just Racists!

Fox news is having a conversation about the stimulus bill with their roundtable pundits and they are saying that Obama should use his line item veto to remove the dem pork from the bill because this is Pelosi’s bad bill (they say) and he needs to make it his bill and make it better. Is this even possible for himm to do?
————————————————————–
President Clinton used the Line Item Veto Act of 1996 to veto specific line items. Some movement was made to declare the Act unconstitutional. I am researching right now to see if it actually ever was. Haven’t found the answer yet.

Well the press doesn’t want to let blago go. They pushed up to shake his hand as he left. But no, he came back and is answering questions. He will continue to fight the charges he says and he asks them is they will continue to cover him if he wants to make a statement. Even Lou Dobbs said that he had been villified and had the charges against him made public before he has a chance to defend against them. The soap opera goes on.

Line Item Veto Act of 1996 was found unconstitutional. See link below; a new bill has been introduced in the House to circumvent what the Supreme Court stated. And the new bill was introduced Jan. 6, 2009.

Hutchison serious about run for governor
Friday, January 16, 2009 | 2:02 PM AUSTIN, TX —
US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is showing just how serious she is about running for the governor of Texas in 2010. “I am preparing to run for governor,” she said. “I’m not equivocal, I’m not undecided.”
Hutchison revealed Thursday that she has transferred nearly $8 million from her federal campaign account into a state fund. Hutchison said she would be taking additional steps toward the race in the coming weeks.
Meantime, current Governor Rick Perry, who has already announced his plans to run for a third term, reported having $6.6 million in campaign cash. Perry is already the longest serving governor

ACORN Supports Economic Stimulus Package, Bankruptcy Law Change
In response to President-elect Obama’s speech on the economic stimulus package, ACORN President Maude Hurd expressed support for proposed policies that will help communities hit hard by the economic crisis:
“ACORN has been building support with allies across the country for swift action on a progressive economic stimulus package as called for by President-elect Obama,” Hurd said. “In today’s speech, the President-elect warned that without major action and federal investments, the economy will get much worse. ACORN supports Congress taking swift action on his spending package to make strategic investments in cities and states, green jobs, and the social safety net to spur job creation as well as build a more sustainable and just economy.
“ACORN also supports proposed policy changes in bankruptcy law as part of the economic stimulus. We urge the federal government to immediately lift the ban on judicial modifications that prevent federal bankruptcy judges from modifying the terms of a family’s primary residence in the way they are currently allowed to do for vacation homes, yachts, and other major assets.
“This simple change in the bankruptcy code, without costing the Treasury another dime, could prevent 600,000 families from losing their homes. It could also serve as a multi-billion dollar stimulus to the housing sector, as the Joint Economic Committee of Congress has estimated that each foreclosure costs the economy $78,000.”

Republicans Object to Stimulus Dollars for ACORN
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.
House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for “neighborhood stabilization activities.”
He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.
Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as “payoff” for groups’ political activities in the last election…
But he said the funding is just one example of frivolous spending items in the $825 billion package.
“It’s just a long list of spending items. Not a real economic stimulus job creation bill,” Vitter said. “It’s line after line after line of favorite liberal spending programs, and it amounts to a big government bill — not a job creation bill.” …

Brian Williams on NBC, with a totally straight face, reported that BO is about work, not a dress code (when reporting about BO working in his shirt sleeves). This remark was made AFTER saying that Bush got to work at the crack of dawn and BO doesn’t go to work until 9:00 a.m. And Williams conveniently left out the part about BO keeping the temperature up high in the office. Ironic that he keeps the temperature in the office high after he called the people of DC wimps because they closed his daughters’ private school because of the ice. The public schools were open.

Here’s what you have to internalize about obama:
He is a m.o.r.o.n.
Once you “get” that… nothing he says or does will shock or dismay you.
Do not try to understand an obama’s irrational mind with your rational mind… it.will.not.work.

As far as Hillary being unconstitutional
There may be grounds for that argument because there is a section in the constitution about being a senator when the salary is raised and being appointed to the position during the same term

New Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn ordered all state of Illinois website home pages stripped of most references to impeached former Gov. Rod Blagojevich by noon on Friday, according to a memo I obtained signed by a top Quinn staffer.
“Remove the name and likeness (i.e., images) of Rod Blagojevich from all home page headers and templates by noon tomorrow,” said the memo sent to all state agency chiefs by

There is nothing wrong with cutting people’s taxes. I earned it, I know better than government on how to save or donate or spend my own money. It is theft, pure and simple when government redistributes wealth (not to mention the vote buying angle of it).
*The government who robs Peter to pay Paul, can always count on the support of Paul.*
If anyone wants contraceptive or STD prevention given to women, then start a private fund (btw, Planned Parenthood gets a third of it’s budget from us). If anyone wants to feed the hungry, then donate to a food shelter. You want to counsel women to keep their babies, man a phone. You want to help the poor get healthcare or pay their heating bills, donate. Americans are generous and do these things better than some nanny government taking from people and giving to causes they may disagree with, while employing or paying off their special interests. Unfortunately there are too many people who would rather spend or donate other people’s money.
Plus, why do you think the market and investors are skittish? The threat of taxes that has been thrown out at us for the past two years. When the tax cuts expire, most of us will see a tax hike. That is not a good thing in a recession caused by government tinkering in areas they should not have been, can you say Fannie Mae and the tip of the iceberg 90 million dollars Obama’s adviser, Raines, made off with while cooking the books?
Everytime tax cuts are put in place, record revenue flows into the treasury, so that is not the problem. The problem is that congress outspends what is brought in. The problem is spending. Look what they did to Social Security. They spent it and all that is left is IOUs. Medicare. Ready to collapse. The public schools – fail. Mortgages – fail.
And how on earth can these same corrupt beings provide universal healthcare? Everyone is talking up the symptoms but will not discuss the problem. The cost. If my kid needs stitches, it shouldn’t cost thousands of dollars to stitch him shut. If I break a few bones, I shouldn’t have to mortgage the house. Everyone, even the poor, should be able to pay for services rendered. Address the cost of lawyers, illegals, and the insurance doctors are forced to carry, which is passed on to us, and it will be affordable for everyone. Mark my words, the only time government will address the cost, will be at the human level. Look at the UK and Canada. Rationing and waiting lines and mediocre doctors and denying of care if you are obese or smoke.
Like other entitlements, rampant with fraud, expensive with administrative costs, there will be no checks and balances in universal healthcare. Look at what they do, not what they say. Look at the results, not the intent.
Government is the problem.

This year, taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:
“Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?
“A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.
“Q. Where will the government get this money?
“A. From taxpayers.
“Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
“A. Only a smidgen.)
“Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
“A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.
“Q. But isn’t that stimulating the economy of China?
“A. Shut up.”
Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:
If you spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.
If you spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.
If you purchase a computer it will go to India.
If you purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala (unless you buy organic).
If you buy a car it will go to Japan.
If you purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan.
And none of it will help the American economy.
We need to keep that money here in America. You can keep the money in America by spending it at yard sales, going to a baseball game, or spend it on prostitutes, beer (domestic ONLY), or tattoos, since those are the only businesses still in the US.
