That blazin gold lettering has got to set a new standard for dumb ass tshirts. Looking up other, possibly more stupid t shirts (I failed. The dude wearing that to the art museum WINS the prize!) I came across this, and it reminded me of jenniforhillary so I posted it, cuz I got da POWAH!

p.s. click on the cartoon — it takes you to an interesting blog about plagiarism and stealing other artists’ work.

REPOSTING from a great post of Murphy’s in October:

Pumas, we are the good guys for a REASON. Because we don’t like cheaters, we don’t like fraud, and we hate misogyny. We stand for free and fair elections that reflect the will of the VOTERS. We fight for transparency, honesty, and integrity in our elected officials. We hold the media to a standard of decency, fairness, and investigative rigor.
This election (read: inauguration) will be over in 10 days (tomorrow). I’m thinking about the (next) day. When we go to bed (tomorrow night), I want to know that when I wake up (the next day) I know WHERE I am and I know WHO I am. No matter (what).

We have a massive mountain to move, and our work begins in earnest on (January 21st).

The government is corrupt.
The mainstream media is complicit.
The corporations are a power unto themselves — sovereign, united, and extra-national.

But WE are legion and vast. WE are the people. And as long as we can communicate with each other and can depend on our leaders to be honest people of integrity we WILL prevail.

This round’s on me. Drink up. Tomorrow we go back into battle.”

Ha-ha, Murphy, see now I gave you the day off tomorrow…you get a break, you can just get drunk w/us tomorrow night, lol…!

I was trying to catch up downstairs and didn’t realize everyone was upstairs. This is a repost from the link Ipotter posted at #116.
In what would be another unprecedented step, Obama’s political staff is deciding whether to create a service organization that would use the vast corps of its grass-roots campaign supporters. As described by one source knowledgeable with the discussions, this nonprofit arm would be used to help victims of natural disasters, but would do so under the Obama umbrella while continuing to build the overall network’s massive e-mail database.
The prospect of a president being able to guide a service or relief agency outside the framework of his government is a unique development.
*****************
WTF? Obamabots doing disaster relief outside of the government?
It is not a unique development, it happened in Germany. They we’re called brownshirts and they were thugs that worked for Hitler. What in the hell is happening and why doesn’t anyone seem to care? How can a reporter write this and not want to scream about it from the mountaintops?
=============

Antifish – In Obama’s Citizen’s Briefing Book, this is what his supporters recommended he do:

Funding Universal National Service
All citizens should contribute a year or more to National Service. This could be an expensive proposition, finding and funding service opportunities.

A modest proposal:
All persons who do not have a DD214 showing an honorable discharge from the military, and all persons who do not have a similar document showing successful completion of a term of service from AmeriCorps, VISTA or the Peace Corps, or some other verifiable, sanctioned service opportunity, in other words all those who have not served should be required to pay 5% surcharge on their income tax. This surcharge could go to funding service opportunities for those who commit to serving their country. If you have little or no income, the surcharge will not affect you. If you have a greater income and you have, as someone of high visibility once said “other priorities,” then you can pay higher taxes for the rest of your life.

Dead Serious here! no one was hurt though but boy the smell of smoke was awful all day. And needless to say several bad puns went around all day

Speaking of stupid people who have no idea they are: My local paper printed an article about two people going to DC this weekends for the Obamafest. They were interviewed and said they had met him during the primaries and were fortunate enough – get ready for this – “to bask in his greatness”. Yep.

And you wonder why Obama is as arrogant as he is? If stupid people are running around making statements along these same lines no wonder he thinks he walks on water.

I will be taking off tomorrow and driving to North Florida where there will be no Obamafests! These idiots here in Saint Petersburg will probably be setting off fireworks. I noticed tonight on my walk that there were many houses with American flags out front. The Obamabots can’t be serious about that.

Ok, well I have heard a few tips for tomorrow from pumas:

1. Turn off TV.
2. Wear Black (or black arm band)
3. Have a drink
4. Do something fun/ positive

Sounds like good advice to me.

Tomorrow will be like any other day for me. TV off. Snow still on the ground. Life goes on.

Hello PUMAs…

Just dropping by to wish you all the best. I know these are not easy times, but the spirit of PUMA is strong and able to meet the future because we care deeply and rightly about fair elections, governmental accountability/disclosure and defeating sexism and similar injustices. I lurk and read, rarely commenting, but I do want you to know that I have grown as a person in this process and my hat is off to Murphy and all who have given so much to make this country better in the future, especially for women leaders. You are all leaders because you share and teach other women (and, yes, men) how to rally, with gusto, for a cause greater than self. It’s an imperfect process and sometimes my feelings get hurt when over-generalized comments are made about Republicans (I was one) or religion (I practice my faith, but don’t follow any doctrine blindly.) People come from different points of view and life experiences and I truly respect that. The one view we share is the heart of PUMA.

I won’t be watching the coronation tomorrow, since I have had all I can stand already of the media lovefest with the Unqualified One. I certainly don’t need BO or any politician telling me that I must perform public service on a specific day, like it is some new idea he just discovered. My family has quietly done public service for generations in all forms, willingly, humbly and without a royal proclamation to do so. BO is so immature and self-absorbed it pains me to even listen to him. Instead, tomorrow, like the days since the election, I will be sewing blankets for wounded soldiers, praying for our people and nation as a whole, and giving thanks for the freedom that we still have in our country. Let us guard it carefully in the coming administration.

Please take care of yourselves, rest, recoup and fight again with renewed strength of purpose. We must support all women, however possible, who are PUMAs in their hearts.

Blessings and a peaceful heart to you all.

Sunday morning I posted a blistering attack on Barack Obama for featuring an “Episcopal Bishop” who is not representative of the Episcopal Church and who is a very polarizing figure in his denomination.

Within hours after our criticism appeared, the polarizing bishop was on his way to the North Pole. Bishop Gene Robinson was erased from the nationally televised concert that Obama presented on HBO (Obama’s campaign sold rights to HBO for cash). People tuned in to see the bishop’s prayer; he was not to be seen on HBO.

(Full disclosure; I am also an Episcopalian. I have a good friend who is a priest; he serves under Bishop Robinson and calls him an absolutely delightful man.)

“Where have you gone Bishop Robinson? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you. ..Jesus loves you more than you will know” (Simon & Garfunkel)

Captain Obama says it a little differently: “Gays and lesbians, step to the back of the bus.”

Obama, ever the gentleman, no longer throws people under the bus. In his new administration, people just “step to the back of the bus.” In a throwback to the Soviet era, when pictures were airbrushed to remove deposed party members, Obama just erases people from televised events by erasing them from the televised portions of the event. Gays and lesbians were the first to be relocated; they will not be the last.

The Robinson kerfuffle stated Sunday afternoon and by Monday afternoon the story had reached the Obama-adulatory Chicago Sun-Times, which reported Robinson’s removal from the national broadcast per order of the new Fuhrer Obama,
http://www.suntimes.com/news/falsani/1386403,cathleen-falsani-column-bishop-invocation-012009.article

No one has been more loyal to Obama than gays and lesbians (today collectively the “GLBT” community). So what goes?

Well, we begin with the hub bub when Obama asked Pastor Rick Warren to deliver the invocation to the inauguration ceremonies on Tuesday. That caused a stir because Warren has opposed gay and lesbian rights and Proposition 8 in California. Bishop Robinson himself condemned Warren.

Then, Obama announced Bishop Robinson would deliver a prayer. Robinson’s prayer was to be a gesture towards symmetry, having the gay priest balance out Warren’s anti-gay controversy. Apparently not. Warren will be nationally televised as part of the inauguration. Robinson was only heard by those present at the HBO concert. He may be viewed on YouTube another media that are making an issue of his exclusion.

I have been a critic of Obama since day one. Unlike Grandpa John McCain, Obama has not invited me to a dinner in my honor. They only do that for toothless old folk. McCain may be egotistical enough to think he can work with Obama; McCain obviously learned nothing from his smashing defeat: If you don’t fight Obama and stand up for your principles, he’ll run right over you. McCain has gone from being the Republican Party’s presidential candidate to a painful embarrassment in less than three months. (If Obama does offer to buy me a meal, I am going to insist on a food taster before I take a bite.)

Triangulation is back.
Obama throws a bone to the right; then he throws a bone to the left. First the gays; then the anti-gays. With every controversial issue, Obama will be on every side and all sides. That approach is not leadership. Obama’s lifelong tactics are a prescription for paralysis. America: get ready to be paralyzed.

Obama and his minions, of course, are obsessed with ContrarianCommentary.com and this editor. We speak the truth, and we don’t bow to Obama, whether he offers to buy us dinner, a la McCain, or not. My criticism of allowing Bishop Robinson to stand as a representative of the Episcopal Church, which he obviously is not, stung. Within hours of my criticism, Robinson’s role had been moved “off-camera.”

GLBTs thought they would have a prominent role in the inauguration. Obama quickly and “unceremoniously” erased their place in his ceremonies.

Who’s next to be marginalized, sidelined or erased? Triangulation, anyone?

“Remember Bishop Robinson” is my new cry. I may not always agree with the good bishop, but I deplore the shabby way in which he was treated by Obama & Co.

P. S. I will not be watching.
Andy Martin.

I have a deep dis-quieting feeling about the inaguration. I believe it must be grief and dis-belief. Our leaders have totally failed to honor our laws and constitution & it is mind-boggling how many just don’t care. I have an appointment tomorrow in a government office, so no doubt I will be force-fed a steady diet of bamadrama. It is a sad day in the history of the USA that a person who used so much crookedness and deciet actually is being sworn in as President and not being led off to jail. It does, however, strenghten my resolve to work more diligently for a better America. Our future generations deserve that much! Love you, Pumas. Happy Trails.

From Heidi Li’s latest post on her blog:

What must be made clear here is the consistency in wanting Governor Paterson to contribute to proportional representation for women while objecting to him appointing Caroline Kennedy. Governor Paterson is in the lucky position of having various qualified, competent women to consider for the appointment. He need not cloud the issue with considerations of affirmative action based either on gender or family background. Thus, he can illustrate the way in which the end of proportional representation for the 51 percent of the population that are women has nothing to do with the means of affirmative action of any kind.

GOOD MORNING AMERICA!!! Murphy, that cartoon is my heart–except I’m not in it with an uzi :) and YES you stupid stupid stupid obots that is figuratively my way of saying you are TOO FUCKING DUMB TO LIVE!!

I woke up to the cartoon channel, thinking I might be safe, and NOPE they are BRAINDIRTYING our children there too. Reminds me of Invasion of the Body Snatchers but this time they just replace the working brain cells and leave the body.

Note: for those of you wondering how my heatlh program is coming I am down 11 pounds…..and I’m feeling good enough to take on the world :)

Cheer up people…AND, for the record, if Catherine THE TRAITOR MacKinnon reads this it all became CLEAR to me last night when I read that Cass Sunstein is part of BO’s TEAM of destruction why you supported this fucking misogynist thug. Andrea told me that your ass kicking is going to be the one to end the world regarding ass kickings. Good Mourning, PUMAS (borrowing a misspelling from another familiar PUMA). I am just growling in to say that I won’t see stupid people today for many reasons, but mostly because they are all traveling to our city’s civic center to watch the Prelude to The Second Greatest Story Ever Told on hi-def big screenvision. My students were given this special day off so that they could participate, and I will sit in an empty classroom grading pitiful work from kids who don’t give a damn about anything but this man. This man, who has proven that you can lie, cheat, and buy your way, or accuse innocent people of racism, to get into the presidency. This man, who can’t produce his university writings, or initiate a piece of legislation that can actually pass, or complete a million dollar inner-city project for the needy in his hometown, or even let his senate chair receive his body warmth before he’s licking his lips for the next rung in the ladder—this man is their new role model.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. I’d wash my paws of this joke, but I do love this country. So I’ll regroup with like minds and strike elsewhere. Just wanted to vent again publicly. I remain outraged.

Jenny;
Here’s a variation:
“Buck Ofama!” From Vivian Feldman, O’Bonobo hater.
______
VDH takes a scalpel to the delusions of Obot Foreign Policy:

What should we then expect? As some point, perhaps in his first few months in office, President Obama, as Joe Biden predicted, will be tested by the rogue oil-producing states. Most — like Iran, Russia, and Venezuela — will soon be facing bankruptcy if oil prices stay flat, as their only source of foreign exchange largely vanishes. Expect all in multifarious ways to test America, in part to humiliate the United States, but more likely simply to cause enough tension to create panic among speculators and restore their windfall profits. Anyone can dream up scenarios — a move on Georgia, a cutoff of natural gas entirely to Europe, a brazen announcement of an Iranian bomb with a dare to Israel to stop it, a suicide attack on a tanker or warship in the Straits of Hormuz, flagrant violation of the Monroe Doctrine by home porting Russian vessels in Venezuela, simultaneous rocket barrages from Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria, etc. For such countries, any disruption is good in the sense that it creates panic, and panic in turn spikes oil prices.

I intend to stay unplugged for the better part of 24 hours since this hoopla has gotten out of control. The accolades are unbearable since he has done absolutely nothing in his life so far to claim them.

The MSM is an embarrassment. No one, living or dead, deserves this much attention. And as soon as the word “historical” disappears from the lexicon along with “hope” and “change”, I will know we have crossed back over into reality.

62

BrianH 01.20.09 at 9:03 am

Well, I hope for the sake of the great country of the United States, that the Presidency is succesful, but I do fear for the worse, and if he is as those with a mind of their own believe, a Nixon dressing up as a Lincoln, then I hope the truth will out before too much more damage is done.

I am working–at not turning on the tube–working very hard!!

I may go to Starbucks for some performance art later today. Who knows, the day is young and much chaos should occur….

jenniforhillary 01.20.09 at 9:27 am

I was actually thinking of wearing one that said “loving being DOWN here, thanks BO” with a picture of a woman being stepped on by a man but gosh darn it the t-shirt shop said BO already got that one….

jenniforhillary 01.20.09 at 9:30 am

KODAK just sent me an email advertising with HIS FACE and the words ‘historic’ and blah blah blah…

this is what I emailed them,

50 million plus Americans did NOT vote for that thug do nothing lying sack of you know what and his team of misogynist a-holes, and the LAST thing I want to see is his Kenyan-born American-hating Trinity Church going I didn’t hear nothing face on a gosh darn thing…so if you want to lose me as a client you would show me it…again. STOP THE INSANITY, the only thing historic is how dumb America has gotten!

taggles1 01.20.09 at 9:37 am

Happy Birthday Taggles ((((((hugs)))))). Wow our birthdays are 6 days apart. Mine was the 14th. No wonder we pretty much think alike ;) Hope you stay away from conventional radio and tv and enjoy your day.

It just amazes me that with all the poverty in this town I live in, that they can sure come up with money to go to the coronation. Most of the people here are either seniors on social security, people on disabilty or public aid or unemployed, yet they sure found the money to hop on buses, trains and planes to get to this farse. Anything for a party, I guess.
I saw a snippet of Bidens wife saying how he was offered the choice of VP or SOS, that really pissed me off, that means that Hillary was only thought of for whatever leftovers were available? What a fucking insult. I cant wait until babylon comes tumbling down…and it will.
And as for this National Service crap they are talking about.

The PUMAS are the National Service.
We are the defenders of right vs. wrong
We are the seekers of the truth…
We are the ones who will be here when this charade finally comes to an end…sooner…later…We are the ones who will still be standing strong..
We Are The Ones No One Expected.

taggles1 01.20.09 at 9:42 am

thanks prplvette! Happy B-Day to you too!

Agree with everything you say!

Rancho 01.20.09 at 9:46 am

I’d like to send out a CHALLENGE to all PUMAS today, who are trying to figure out which black outfit to wear, or which closet to clean, or whose toenails to clip, :)
RENT “IRONED JAWED ANGELS,” WITH HILLARY SWANK! It was an HBO special with Hillary Swank and Angelica Houston. I found it at DVD Planet in So.Cal., and I had to order it . . $11.00.
You won’t want to be watching much news or t.v. anyway!
On the heals of Martin Luther King Day, you will witness THE TORTURE AND BRUTALITY Alice Paul and many other women went through, while protesting PEACEFULLY, so that YOU would have the right to vote. Her dream HAS NOT been fulfilled because ERA has NOT been ratified as a constitutional ammendment! Is this news to anyone out there?
WE NEED TO EDUCATE OURSELVES! Focus on a POSITIVE action that
could not only educate you, but challenge you to look at how our
sisters long ago stood up for their rights! We have so much to learn . . .why not try learning from the rich wisdom and inner-driven
“PUMAS” of the past!

Thanks FL! Where did you hear about Sen. Cornyn trying to stop Hillary? How is that possible after they already voted her in?

To quote Billie Joe Armstrong of Greenday: “People, the fucking power is in us, NOT the politicians. We are the Power. We are the strength……..YOU can go out and change the Fucking World.” This was from his freedom concert in London about 3 years ago when his rock opera American Idiot was #1 on the charts.

Each of us has work to do. More than anything we have to slay the two party system dragon. This is what is eating us alive. do the math. If we could send just one unaffiliated person per state to the House of Rep. we could change the power structure in the land. We could have our voices heard. It is only in the last century that the two party system has prevailed. Before the Civil War, most of the people in the House were either unaffiliated or from parties other than the Whigs, Democratic, or Republican parties.

Fox news had a news flash it is all they said she could not be confirmed today because. Sen Cornyn was blocking it no reason given so a roll call vote will be needed.on wed.
It was suppose to be today but because of an asshole it won’t be. Feel bad as she wanted to attend the ball as Madame SOS
What an ass.

82

waterpanther 01.20.09 at 12:16 pm

Senator “man on box turtle” Cornyn is blocking it because Senator Cornyn is an asshole. No further reason necessary.
