Inauguration Day Estimates Cut in Half

emptystadium

Don’t blame ME. I have NO IDEA how many zombies obama supporters will show up. It’s the Washington Post that tells me the estimate has been halved. From 4 milion to 2. Which is still a record-breaker. Apparently 1.5 million showed up in 1965 for Lyndon Johnson’s inaugural. Bush attracted a rawther shabby 400,000 in 2005, and Clinton 800,000 in 1993. But estimating crowd size is a favorite tool of marketers and PR professionals, and we all know the obama movement is pretty heavy on the marketing and PR, so I’m taking the astronomical projections with a grain of salt until we see some aerial photos of the actual crowd on the actual day. I’m sure CNN, MSNBC and the rest of the fawning SCFP won’t let us down!

Oh, and Cinie’s still got it.

thanks for the info back in the last thread. Are you kidding me? Siskind couldn’t give BJ time to attend to her dying daughter? I am not sure I understood your comment. What do you mean prevarication re Favreau?

Sorry I am out of step. What I do remember is that Harriet Christian decided to distance herself because of ill treatment of BJ. Didn’t know the details.

9

taggles1 01.17.09 at 6:02 pm

amy siskind asked for Favreaus firing then backtracked, BJ wrote Amy. Amy didn’t like that BJ was questioning her. I was a founder and resigned after her last email where she told me that BJ could have one day of grace for her dying daughter but not three.

10

Dragonfly 01.17.09 at 6:04 pm

wow, taggles1. Amy must be missing a heart, or like the Grinch, it is three sizes too small. Holy shit. What a cold thing to do.

Favreau is a punk and should have been fired. I knew they wouldn’t do anything about it. After all, Obama’s favorite song is 99 problems and a bitch ain’t one.

the faux liberals have succeeded in electing a conservative. Add this one to the list:

Obama may not lift stem cell limits

PHILADELPHIA – President-elect Barack Obama signaled Friday that he might not use his executive authority to reverse Bush-era limits on stem cell research, but instead might wait for Congress to change the policy.

Obama pledged during the campaign to lift the restrictions, and political observers had expected him to move swiftly to reverse President Bush’s 2001 executive order – most likely with his own executive order.

But the president-elect suggested Friday that he would wait for Congress to weigh in on the issue.

and:

Obama tries to seduce Republicans

It’s no secret Barack Obama is trying to seduce Republicans these days. But his conservative courting runs much deeper and wider than is publicly known.

Obama has had meetings with his former opponent John McCain, GOP congressional leaders and some of the country’s leading conservative commentators. He’s also honoring McCain and Colin Powell in high-profile pre-inaugural dinners, where Obama is expected to toast the Republicans.

Behind the scenes, Obama and his team are working just as hard, courting prominent Republicans and conservatives through frequent phone calls, e-mails and private sit-downs.

why do I even bother to venture out on the internets. my head is going to explode!

Inaugural Panel Sells Exclusive TV Rights
$5 Million From Deals Questioned

Barack Obama’s inaugural organizing committee has struck deals with three television networks to the tune of more than $5 million, giving the networks exclusive access to inaugural events. But the arrangement is prompting questions about the president-elect’s efforts to raise money by turning his inauguration into made-for-TV productions.

All told, Obama’s licensing of inaugural events to TV is the most ambitious and expensive in presidential history. Bill Clinton’s committee licensed events to HBO and CBS during his first inauguration in 1993, but other presidential committees have generally shied away from selling exclusive rights to official events.

Obama prayer leader from group US linked to Hamas

– A Muslim scholar chosen to speak at President-elect Barack Obama’s inaugural prayer service Wednesday is the leader of a group that federal prosecutors say has ties to terrorists.

Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America, is one of many religious leaders scheduled to speak at the prayer service at Washington’s National Cathedral.

Mattson has been the guest of honor at State Department dinners and has met with senior Pentagon officials during the Bush administration. She also spoke at a prayer service at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

But in 2007 and as recently as last July, federal prosecutors in Dallas filed court documents linking the Hartford, Conn.-based Islamic society to the group Hamas, which the U.S. considers a terrorist organization.

Neither Mattson nor her organization have been charged. But prosecutors wrote in July that they had “a wide array of testimonial and documentary evidence expressly linking” the group to Hamas and other radical groups.

Linda Douglass, a spokeswoman for Obama’s inaugural committee, would not discuss the case or say whether the committee knew about it.

“She has a stellar reputation in the faith community,” Douglass said Saturday night.

The existence of the court documents was first reported by Politico.

The Islamic Society of North America, which describes itself as “the nation’s largest mainstream Muslim community-based organization,” is fighting its inclusion on a list of coconspirators in the Dallas terrorism case against the Holy Land Foundation. In court documents, the group says it does not condone terrorism.

Paterson ponders Clinton’s successor

ALBANY — Gov. David Paterson said Friday he’ll make his selection to succeed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton after Barack Obama’s presidential inauguration Tuesday, saying he’s “having new thinking” on whom he may select.

Ex-DemInVA 01.17.09 at 7:49 pm

This Obamamania is pure adulation. It is American Idol to the 100th degree. It is also the media and Obama himself fanning the flames of his so-called stardom. It’s all about perception. He is not as popular as what they are trying to make him out to be. Many people who voted for him did so because their beloved Hillary was no longer available. Many were afraid to vote for McCain because he was a Republican, and after eight years of Bush, they voted for Obie instead. That means that many are TOLERANT of Bambi. He is walking a very thin line with people who have VERY high expectations that he is going to do what he said during the primary. I predict that his so-called popularity fades fast after this Innauguration grandstand.

57

Ex-DemInVA 01.17.09 at 7:51 pm

I also predict that it won’t be long before the media starts to turn on him. Of course, CNN and MSNBC will still kiss his feet. Others will start to waiver though. He has gotten by with absolutely no record to be held accountable. Well, NOW he is going to have to be held accountable as President. This is going to get interesting when people start to realize that THE One is NOT what we have been waiting for.

Even QVC and HSN are in on this Innauguration festivities. QVC is broadcastling LIVE from the BALL at 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. I do not remember them ever doing that before. It is disgusting. I am staying away from any channel that covers anything to do with him the next few days.

Yes, it’s true. His supporters were carrying US flags in Baltimore with his face emblazoned on them in violation of the US Flag Code. I’m so disgusted by this man and his ass-sucking minions. How much lower will they stoop? Will they put his ugly mask over the Statue of Liberty? I’m really beginning to hate him and his koolaid addled Obot freaks.

Murphy

Just donated $20 to Puma Pac. I heard this on KSFO. Around February and March, BO’s real agenda will emerge. They were referring to pro-life issues.

Pumas, we have to step back on all this hype. We know that Obama is a Fraud. I’m waiting for the backlash to begin not only against BO but the crooked and cultist media.

On one hand, journalists are writing about our bad economy with Obama calling for economic sacrifices for everyone but himself and his family. The Republican pundits are writing about the big bill for his inauguration.

I’m writing to the Republican Senators and Congressmen and women to keep Obama accountable.

Go Pumas!!!!!!

ExDeminVA

Ditto to your remarks about Obama is a Fraud!

80

antifish 01.17.09 at 8:48 pm

Well, I’m tired of the dog-and-pony show and will be glad when he finally takes office. Then we can begin to figure out what the hell he is. We know that he is not a Democrat, but what the hell is he? I suspect, a Republican plant. Why else would Karl Rove work with Brassiere (where is she anyway?) to elect him? That would certainly explain all his actions lately. It would also explain why McCain didn’t really put up a fight.

**** Got this in an Email with no link **** Sorry so long, but valuable Information ****

******* Who Elected Obama?

On 20 January, Barack Hussein Obama will be inaugurated as the next president of our United States, according to our Constitution. However, his largest constituencies tend to view this event as either the coronation of the “royal one” or the ordination of the “holy one.”
Before we further define those constituencies, here, for the record, is a recap of the survey data concerning the presidential election.
Some 136.6 million Americans voted — a 64.1 percent turnout and the highest since 1908. Obama is the first Democrat to win a majority of the popular vote (53 percent) since Jimmy Carter. By sex, BHO’s support was 49 percent male and 56 percent female. By ethnic group, his support comprised 41 percent of Whites, 61 percent of Asians, 75 percent of Latinos and 95 percent of Blacks. By age, BHO’s largest support demographic was 66 percent of voters under the age of 30. By income, 52 percent of voters with more than $200,000 in annual income voted for Obama. By education, his support came from those without a college degree and those with a post-graduate degree.

So, his victory was largely due to support from non-whites, from those under 30, from those with the lowest income and education, and from a small number of voters at the other end of those spectrums, while those of middle age, income and education tended to support John McCain.

By religion, Obama received support from 46 percent of Protestant voters, 56 percent of Catholic voters and 62 percent of voters of other religions. BHO received 76 percent of atheist and agnostic voters.

The Barna Research Group looked at some other interesting characteristics of Obama voters: 57 percent of those who consider themselves “lonely or isolated,” 59 percent of those affected by the economic decline in “a major way,” and 61 percent of those who claim they are “stressed out” supported BHO.

So, considering the stats, the Democrats’ strategy of fomenting dissent and disunity by promoting themes of disparity was vital to Obama’s election. Indeed, the Left’s political playbook has only one chapter defining their modus operandi — “Divide-n-Conquer.” No wonder their national leadership calls itself the DnC.

Obama’s largest constituent groups fall under the general umbrella of “disenfranchised victims,” those who feel they are ethnically or economically handicapped. Other significant constituent groups are those who identify with the disenfranchised; this includes two small but highly ideologically influential groups, the economic and academic elite.

The disenfranchised victim groups and those who identify with them have a number of common characteristics. They have a low civic IQ and virtually no understanding of our Constitutional Republic and its heritage and legacy of liberty. They have fully bought into the “Politics of Disparity” or “class warfare.”

However, it is Obama’s small economic and academic elite constituencies who pose the greatest danger to that heritage of liberty. They neither know nor care any more about liberty than the disenfranchised legions with which they seek to identify. They are the “king makers,” those who have funded and charted Obama’s course to the coronation.

Some have made a lot of “easy money,” which explains why Obama received far more support from Wall Street than McCain. Others are inheritance-welfare liberals, those who value government welfare dependence because they were, themselves, dependent on inheritance throughout their formative years and never developed the character necessary to succeed on their own initiative.

Whether fast money or inheritance, neither group has direct contact with the unwashed masses other than those who keep their homes, offices and imported autos clean and in good repair. This utter dependence upon the low end of the “service sector” is perhaps the source of the insecurities that drive them to identify with the masses.

Obama’s academic elite are just as insecure, but they are driven by ideology. They are Leftists, Western apologists for socialist political and economic agendas. Regular readers of this column will recognize them as “Useful Idiots” for their advocacy of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist collectivism. Like Obama, they reject constitutional authority and subscribe to the errant notion of a “Living Constitution”.

Among Obama’s Left elite are such Marxist radicals as Frank Marshall Davis and William Ayers and his religious mentor Jeremiah Wright.
There are some characteristics that are common to many BHO supporters among both the disenfranchised and the elite.

Obama’s cult-like following among these constituencies is not the result of deception. In fact, it can be attributed to something much more subtle and, potentially, sinister, with far more ominous implications for the future of liberty.

Most of Obama’s supporters identify with some part of his brokenness, his dysfunctional childhood and his search for salvation in the authority of the state. The implications of this distorted mass identity are grave, and its pathology is well defined.

Another common characteristic is that liberals tend to be very emotive. Ask them about some manifestation of their worldview — for example, why they support candidates such as Obama or Hillary Clinton and they will likely predicate their response with, “Because I feel…”

On the other hand, ask conservatives about what they believe or support, and they invariably predicate their response with, “Because I think…”

So, the once great Democrat Party has now devolved into constituencies who view the inaugural as either a coronation or an ordination.

Of course, all the MSM print and tube outlets are fawning over BHO and calling next Tuesday’s inaugural “historic.” Well, it’s not often that I agree with the paper media and 24-hour news cycle talkingheads, but this is truly a historic inauguration — historic for several reasons.

First, never before has such an ill-prepared president-elect been sworn in as president. Second, never before has a more liberal president-elect been sworn into office. And third, never before has a candidate had so little regard for the constitutional oath he is taking.

Oh, and some suggest this election is historic because half of the president-elect’s genetic heritage is African — and here I thought Bill Clinton was our first “black president.”

It is no small irony that the day before Obama’s inauguration, the nation will pause to honor Martin Luther King. In 1963, King stood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and gave his most famous oration, the most well known line from which is, “I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
But Obama and his party have divided the nation into constituency groups judged by all manner of ethnicity and special interests rather than the individual character King envisioned.

Perhaps the most famous line from any Democrat presidential inaugural was uttered by John F. Kennedy in 1961. He closed his remarks with these words: “And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”

Barack Obama and his party have turned that clarion call on end, suggesting that their constituents should “ask what your country can do for you.”

On Tuesday, Barack Obama will take an oath “to support and defend the Constitution”, but he has no history of honoring our Constitution, even pledging that his Supreme Court nominees should comport with Leftist ideology and “break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted.”

Some have suggested that since the election is over and Obama is the victor, we should accord him the honor due his office. But if he does not honor his constitutional oath, why would anyone extend him the honor of its highest constitutional office?

On cross-examination

“From 1992 to 2008, the share of the vote cast by African-Americans jumped from 8 percent to 13 percent. For Hispanics the share soared from 2 percent to 9 percent; for Asians and other minorities combined, from 2 percent to 5 percent. Meanwhile, the percentage of the vote cast by well-educated whites remained unchanged at 35 percent. The big losers were blue-collar whites — those without college degrees — whose share plummeted from 53 percent in 1992 to just 39 percent now. That’s a threat to the GOP because those culturally conservative, working-class whites are today its most reliable voters…. Demography will indeed be destiny if Republicans can’t broaden their reach” –columnist Ron Brownstein

One of my daughters lives in Md., the D.C. area.
She is taking care of a couple of dogs for the next few days that belong to an FBI agent. The agent has been called to duty for the inaguration. (She usually does other undercover work). She and other agents will be staying in a motel in Virginia and be on 24 hr. call until at least Wed. Just a tidbit of info.

Also my daughter said the officials are expecting a mess on Tues. Many roads and been closed. Metro rail lines have either be closed or re-routed. They are talking about opening shelters for people that get stuck in the city and can’t get home.

Everywhere I go, the Obots are fighting with each other as to whether Obama will prosecute Bush and Cheney for war crimes. Bwaaahaaaahaaaa!!! They really are delusional aren’t they?

In the real world Obama had nice things to say about Bush:

Obama Calls Bush A ‘Good Man Who Loves His Family And His Country’
January 17, 2009 10:37 a.m. EST

David Goodhue – AHN Reporter
Miami, FL (AHN) – President-elect Barack Obama said in an interview with CNN’s “The Situation Room,” that he thought President George W. Bush was ” a good man who loves his family and his country,” and that Bush made the best decisions he could at times under some very difficult circumstances.”

Obama also praised Bush for helping with a smooth transition over the last couple of months.

I AM IN NEED OF SOME VERY INSIGHTFUL PUMAPAC HELP!!!

On Friday, January 9, Joe Baca REINTRODUCED legislation to Honor Suffragist Alice Paul. (The Legislation was first introduced Jan. 11, 2007, passed the House May 15, 2008, but it was never voted on in the Senate). It needed to therefore be reintroduced to the current 11th Congress, which is exactly what Joe Baca did.

WHAT IS THE TIMELINE, AFTER LEGISLATION IS INTRODUCED IN THE HOUSE, FOR A VOTE TO BE CALLED ON THE PROPOSED LEGISLATION? IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR DEBATE ALLOWED BEFORE A VOTE IS CALLED IN CONGRESS? AFTER IT PASSES THE HOUSE, WHAT IS THE TIMELINE IN THE SENATE?

Help out there, anyone . . . PUMA PLEASE?

Can someone please either answer my questions, or “point me in the right direction” so I can find it out for myself? I can do a web search, but thought I’d asked for some bright energetic insight from you all first!

107

antifish 01.17.09 at 9:40 pm

Rancho,

As far as I can tell by reading this, everything is governed by the bill’s placement on the calendar.

Step 7. Scheduling Floor Action: After a bill is reported back to the chamber where it originated, it is placed in chronological order on the calendar. In the House there are several different legislative calendars, and the Speaker and the Majority Leader largely determine if, when, and in what order bills come up. In the Senate there is only one legislative calendar.

Step 8. Debate: When a bill reaches the floor of the House or Senate, there are rules or procedures governing the debate. These rules determine the conditions and amount of time allocated for debate.

Step 9. Voting: After the debate and the approval of any amendments, the bill is passed or defeated by the members voting.

Step 10. Referral to Other Chamber: When a bill is passed by the House or the Senate it is referred to the other chamber where it usually follows the same route through committee and floor action. This chamber may approve the bill as received, reject it, ignore it, or change it.

Step 11. Conference Committee Action: If only minor changes are made to a bill by the other chamber, it is common for the legislation to go back to the first chamber for concurrence. However, when the actions of the other chamber significantly alter the bill, a conference committee is formed to reconcile the differences. If the conferees are unable to reach agreement, the legislation dies. If agreement is reached, a conference report is prepared by describing committee members’ recommendations for changes. Both the House and the Senate must approve of the conference report.

Step 12. Final Actions: After a bill has been approved by the House and the Senate in identical form, it is sent to the President.

Murphy’s post:

“First of all, let me say, I hate poetry. All of it. I don’t get it. What’s the point, you got a story to tell, tell it, and be done with it. Reading or hearing a bunch of silly, pseudo-romantic, self-important, rambling examples of verbal masturbation about nothing; sheer pointless twaddle strung together, but going nowhere, pisses me off.

————
Thank God, with all the poetry on the blog I thought I was the only one that thinks most of it is dribble and senseless.

————
As far as the crowds that will be in DC, the thing that has crossed my mind for the past few days isn’t how many will show up to drink more koolaid while the homeless are hidden from the cameras and visiters…but if Hillay had won, how many women and men would be there to enjoy the history?

One faculty Obot asked me the other day if I was going, I looked at him like he had grown a second head and said…………ahhhhhhhhhhh, No. But that if Hillary had won and I didn’t have the money to fly there from California I would have hitch-hiked all the way in the snow to be there.

MO wears the pants in the family (no sh!t, I already guessed that) and things get bad between them when he is into his career and MO gets suck alone being a mom and second to his career.

Looks like the next four years will be like watching a soap opera.

Let the liberal media begin the cannibalization of its wunderkind. I’m loving this!

Obama sells out to Wall Street
The president-elect’s support of the bank bailout is payback to his wealthy Wall Street supporters.

By David Sirota

Jan. 17, 2009 | The veto is the legislative equivalent of a nuclear warhead — a rarely used instrument of devastating force that singularly vaporizes the votes of 535 elected representatives. So when a president-elect issues a veto threat before being sworn into office, it sets off a particularly big explosion because it is a deliberate agenda-setting edict about priorities for the next four years.

That’s why every American who isn’t a financial industry executive should be nervous.

After President Bush this week asked Congress to release the bank bailout fund’s remaining $350 billion, Obama pledged to veto any bill rejecting the request, meaning he is beginning his presidency not by “turn[ing] the page on policies that have put the greed and irresponsibility of Wall Street before the hard work and sacrifice of folks on Main Street,” as he once pledged. Instead, he is promising a mushroom cloud unless lawmakers let taxpayer cash continue flowing to the biggest of Big Money interests.

Amid paeans to “new politics,” we’re watching old-school paybacks from a politician who raised more Wall Street dough than any other — a president-to-be whose inauguration festivities are being underwritten by the very bankers who are benefiting from the bailout largesse. Safely distanced from electoral pressure, Obama has appointed conservative economists to top White House positions; floated a tax cut for banks; and is now trying to preserve corporate welfare that almost exclusively benefits the political donor class.

This isn’t much-ballyhooed “change” — it’s money politics by a different name. How do we know? Because neither Obama nor anyone else is genuinely trying to justify the bailout on its merits — and understandably so. Even the most basic queries prove such merits don’t exist.

That’s true and I don’t want him to fail. It’s just that I have very serious doubts that he won’t. It’s not like he has a track record of having ever accomplished anything or having ever led anything. We are about to take part in the biggest gamble in history and the odds aren’t in our favor.

Just think how differently that airline accident may have turned out the other day if an inexperienced pilot had been flying the plane. Maybe it would have turned out the same, but odds are, it wouldn’t have.

Now, the entire country is on a plane that’s crashing and Obama, the rookie, is flying it with Joe the drunk as co-pilot. Makes me wish for a parachute.

Hi mountainsong,
Sag w/rising sign in Libra is a nice combo!

antifish per your comment about nightmares, if they’re really scary you can get a huge help from figuring them out & they will stop. I have a great technique I’m gonna post for ya.

151

antifish 01.18.09 at 12:16 am

Ahhh, the newest meme in the Obotsphere is that we shouldn’t judge Obama too early. Really? Let’s see.

- He did not denounce the use of his voice on the Prop 8 robocalls.
- He’s letting homophobe Warren give the invocation at is coronation.
- He failed to fire Favreau for his disrespectful sexist prank.
- He said Bush was a good man who loves his country.
- He met in secret with neocon pundits.
- He’s spending money like it grows on trees for his inauguration while the country is going into recession.
- He hasn’t told the tax-evader he chose for Treasury to step down from the nominating process.
- He’s backing out on revoking Bush’s order on stem-cell research.
- He plans to throw more billions at Wall Street with little to no accountability.

I’m sure I’ve missed something here, so feel free to help me out. Anyway, all this, and he hasn’t even taken office yet. Am I being judgmental or realistic when I say he’s a disaster?

Dreams & what they mean for YOU (from Martha Beck’s new Starlight book):

Write the dream down in sections, this happened, (leave space), that happened, etc.

Between each section look at each part by answering these 4 questions about each part:

1. Be the symbol, describe yourself.
quick example: a wheelchair… “I’m helpful, sad, help handicapped”
Write the 3 adjectives you come up with down.

2. Answer this question from the symbol’s point of view:
“I am here to (purpose)…”
Write that down.

3. Answer this question, again from the symbol’s perspective:
“How I, the symbol, am trying to help the dreamer…”
Write that down too.

4. Finish this sentence, again, from the symbol’s perspective:
“What I symbolize in waking life.”

If you go thru these 4 steps w/each symbol in your dream, and play w/it a bit, you’ll be amazed how much information even a short dream is trying to give you. Really works!

153

mountainsong 01.18.09 at 12:22 am

Do you think it’s even possible for Obama to vindicate himself and establish an image of integrity? If he cannot, there is absolutely no way he can ever accomplish anything because we will remain a divided country.
And we are all sitting in our own individual chairs~~~~on the Titanic.

154

mountainsong 01.18.09 at 12:27 am

hillstheone 01.18.09 at 12:21 am Wow! That’s pretty cool. I’m going to save that and try it next dream. Thank you. :)
So, while we are on the subject, what sign are you? lol

155

antifish 01.18.09 at 12:28 am

mountainsong,

No, I don’t think he can ever vindicate himself. It’s like something I’ve always believed and that has turned out to be true in my life. If you start a relationship with someone in a dishonest manner (cheating on the person you are currently with), that relationship is destined to fail and end in the same manner. The trust factor is compromised at the onset. Obama has done this. He entered into this relationship with us by cheating, so I don’t see how it can ever develop into a harmonious one.

Newsday: Paterson to name Clinton successor after inauguration – now EASY POST

He is known to have interviewed about 15 potential senators, including Caroline Kennedy, Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi, Rep. Steve Israel (D-Huntington), Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-Hudson), Assemb. Daniel O’Donnell (D-Manhattan), and Maloney. Crain’s New Yorkeditorial touting Maloney, and Marcia Pappas, president of the state chapter of the National Organization for Women, was on hand.
Asked if she was disappointed in polls showing that voters strongly favor Cuomo and Kennedy, Maloney said, “Cuomo and Kennedy are very recognizable names from their family connections, the service of their fathers and others. Maloney is not a well-known name. My father was not a rich and famous person. I’m a hardworking woman.”

…. Cuomo faked radio static when asked on TALK 1300 AM if he was interested in the Senate job. “I’m sorry we have a bad connection,” he said.

antifish 01.18.09 at 12:28 am ~~~ Awesome observation!!! And I love the way you expressed it. It’s an aspect of integrity. A person must be who the person says they from the get-go, the beginning. That honesty is the seed breaking gestation, the basis for all trust, and any growth, as you said.
I believe there are two things in life that never need defending~~ Truth, and Love. They are real and eternal. Anything false ceases to exist the moment it’s conceived.
It would be hard to validate a love for our country after all his lies, and deception and the fact that half the country did NOT vote for him, so his mandate is Bullshit.
Maybe they are all liars, like all the rest of us. Anyone who says they have never lied would have to be perfect and……
But they should be held to a higher standard and accountable.
This isn’t going anywhere. I’m not sure how many actually grasp the gravity of our situation but our country is incredibly vulnerable right now.
Obama is acting to the world, that we really have our act together and it’s all going to be alright~~~~~while we continue to print more and more money to “give” to the savior to dispense wisely to save the American way of life. Too many people, now, understand that money, if it has anything more than show-value, is losing value daily. We are painted into a corner, the only escape from which is Deflation.
I think he knows there’s no way out and he’s opening the door for Sharia, and worse.
And it’s gonna be Custer winning this time if the country doesn’t wake up.

The stock market is down. Let’s party.

The price tag for President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration gala is expected to break records, with some estimates reaching as high as $150 million. Despite the bleak economy, however, Democrats who called on President George W. Bush to be frugal four years ago are issuing no such demands now that an inaugural weekend of rock concerts and star-studded parties has begun.

Obama’s inaugural committee has raised more than $41 million to cover events ranging from a Philadelphia-to-Washington train ride to a megastar concert with Beyonce, U2 and Bruce Springsteen to 10 official inaugural balls. Add to that the massive costs of security and transportation — costs absorbed by U.S. taxpayers — and the historic inauguration will produce an equally historic bill.

I don’t feel like I’ve yet seen or felt Obama’s passion, but that it will be revealed soon.
The idea that he may, indeed, be the Mahdi, makes my skin crawl at the the realities it presents.
So, to the best I can, I’m going to live each moment as if it’s my last.

Pretty funny to confuse me with taggles, tho…I was there when The New Agenda discussed a new approach to Favreau on their radio show and it had nothing to do with “backing down” and nothing to do with BJ’s family tragedy. I never saw one single thing posted there on that. All these people privy to private emails….well, they may or may not be fairly representing back channel conversations. But they in no way reflect one single moment on the New Agenda’s public forum, plus, I don’t hold with raking people over the coals in public over private conversations. Just sayin’.

The rivalry is ridiculous and counterproductive, and yeah…I post under this one nym…here, there, and elsewhere.

God it was just 2.5 years too early because if that had happened at any point from June 2007 til today, i would have been in a pants suit and we would have had one big ass rally. I think back to and think how ironic. Just 12 months later and that would have been an entirely different event!

No, not at this time. The film is very heavy in the talk department and would require a massive amount of work to make it close captioned, although politically I would like to see that done. The reality is that I’m basically working alone on the film and simply getting it where it is at this point in time has been tremendously difficult and time consuming.

You’ve given me something to aim for, however. Thanks.

Obamabuddhatic continues in his plan to appeal to and organize the “zombies”

“President-elect Barack Obama announced the formation of a new group known as “Organizing for America” that aims to continue the grassroots advocacy that the former Illinois Senator began in his presidential campaign.

“As President, I will need the help of all Americans to meet the challenges that lie ahead,” Obama said in a video message e-mailed to supporters (and reporters) this morning. “That’s why I’m asking people like you who fought for change during the campaign to continue fighting for change in your communities.”

The new group will be the flagship of “Obama 2.0″ as many people have taken to calling the transformation of the political organization created during the 2008 campaign.

The new group will work within the Democratic National Committee — led by Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine — to advance the Obama agenda. “President-elect Obama has laid the foundation to meet the great challenges facing our nation, but we can succeed only if we build grassroots support for the administration’s agenda,” said Kaine in a release announcing the formation of Organizing for America.

The new group had been long expected within Obama’s inner circle and, although no details on how it would be staffed were released by the transition office today, it is expected that longtime Obama loyalists will be placed in charge — following the blueprint set out at the DNC.

It’s clear that Obama recognizes the power that his email list, which boasts more than 13 million names, represents in American politics and is working to ensure it stays within the control of a small group who are charged with protecting the Obama brand.” ……(Plueeeze, I’m am ready to puke)

A couple of intereseting comments following the article:

“I’m uncomfortable with this. I’m an Obama supporter and worked to get him elected. What concerns me is that this could be the other side of the coin we’ve dealt with the last 8 years. “True Believers” of any stripe are a danger to our country. An informed electorate with critical thinking skills are necessary for democracy to function.

I could be seeing danger where none exists, but I’ll be watching and considering if I’m being asked to do something with a real, positive effect on my community and the world. ”

“This isn’t a big deal. Hugo Chavez does this stuff all the time.”

If not for the courage of President Bush to stand up for what he believed was right for this country, popularity be damned, what happened at the Twin Towers, Flight 93 and the Pentagon would have been repeated many times over. Despite these horrific attacks on the US, until the Dems took over Congress in 2006, unemployment was down, the market was up and we were safe. Just as most liberal Democrats have joined in the Obama lovefest, just as many have jumped on the ‘Bush is evil and needs to be punished’ bandwagon.

There are far too many people in this country today who have given up their right to think for themselves. The same corrupt and biased media that was instrumental in the election of Obama, is the media that has painted the ugly portrait of Bush’s administration. To only acknowledge the media is corrupt as it pertains to Obama and not to Bush is a sad case of selective reasoning.

… [Obama's] aides have seen an opportunity in the insatiable appetite of the public for information on the new first family.
They plan to use Mr Obama’s status as the world’s leading “Celebritician” or “Polebrity” ..snip.. to maintain his popularity and help sell his political plans directly to middle America, starting with his plans for a trillion dollar stimulus plan to kickstart the economy….
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/barackobama/4277442/Barack-Obama-plans-a-paparazzi-presidency-to-speak-directly-to-voters.html

selling direct to the voters will effectively neutralize the legislative branch of this Republic (commonly referred to as a democracy). Doubt this is what the founding fathers had in mind. Bad as Pelosi, et al are, the removal of Congressional power ….

Admin, sniff, sniff. :( And I worked so hard on it, too.
Essentially I said (for anyone who cares)as I was piggybacking on a commentary between antifish and mountainsong from overnight–#155 I believe–that TRUST is the bottom line for everything. Obamashama has built his entire rise to power on deceit and ambition-in-overdrive. I can never trust him. Of course, I don’t want him to fail, as we will go down with him, but I will never trust him. I don’t forgive and forget…not so much these days.
The zapped one was a bit more polished.

Scarlet, remember the line in Gladiator–”Unleash hell” ?
If America doesn’t do something protective with the humans we have turned into ultimate demons after Gitmo, we will be unleashing hell upon ourselves. They hate us even more. What does Obamashama want to do? “Here, guys, sorry about that. We thought you were bad. Don’t be mad.”

Thanks for the link.

Will the military serve Obama if he cannot prove his eligibility?

231

Dragonfly 01.18.09 at 10:46 am

ladyhawkke, did you check out bqueen’s youtube link? It shows the kids doing their little march while wearing their O shirts and then a clip of Nazis. The video talks about the civil defense service and training that seems to be a pet project of Rahm’s – he has a book, The Plan: Big Ideas for America. I am going to check it out – when I am short on nightmares.

232

Dragonfly 01.18.09 at 10:49 am

ladyhawkke – that is a very interesting link. Perhaps Obama anticipated a problem like that, hence his “civilian army” or organizers.

#228 Dragonfly They are tracking us everywhre. I went over to Larry Sinclair’s site a couple of days ago and clicked on a link and then in the left hand corner, it had my City names!! Unbelieveable, and below that, NY just joined, CA is leaving, so I know they are watching us day and night.
Also, at Larry Sinclairs, you have to go there, he sent a registered letter to MO describing BO’s private parts to her because she didn’t believe the story. He is waiting to see if she signs for it but I doubt she will ever get it.

Meraki Helping Narrow Digital Divide

Wireless equipment maker Meraki is helping make universal broadband a reality. The company announced that it’s working with a nonprofit called OneEconomy, which focuses on closing the digital divide by targeting low-income housing.

The reduced equipment and maintenance costs mean that OneEconomy can serve more low-income families. OneEconomy can also pass on the savings to the individuals it serves, reducing the cost of its broadband service by about 75 percent. This means that instead of charging $20 or $30 for Internet service, the group is able to charge low-income residents only $5 or $7 per month for service.

LOL this voter just wants Bo to do his thang, his “thug thizzle”

http://townhall.com/Columnists/MichelleMalkin/2008/10/08/the_acornobama_voter_registration_thug_thizzle?page=full&comments=true

Holliday interviewed another homeless man targeted by the registration drive who exulted that he was voting for Obama because “I want him to do his thang. You know, do his thug thizzle.”

“Thug thizzle” is street slang for performing your trademark move. Obama and ACORN have practiced their thug thizzle together for years: organizing an ever-expanding community of ineligible and marginal voters to expand the Democratic power base. Rules be damned.

246

ladyhawkke 01.18.09 at 11:05 am

Thanks, Dragon, that is very scary. I don’t know what we can do, he wants to gut the term limits for president, he wants to do away with the natural born citizen issue. He needs to go ASAP- before he’s sworn in.

The highest percentages of the $4,600 exceedances are found in Florida, Hawaii, other, Delaware and Illinois. “other” is the file containing all donations with no US state reported.

Thursday, January 15, 2009 Larry Sinclair:
OBAMA SURROGATES NOW RESPONDING TO PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION STILL YET TO BE RELEASED!!!!

I find it hysterical that I have been called every name in the book and every liar imaginable, yet the Obama Supporters/Surrogates, who by the way say no one is listening, have already started circulating totally false claims in an effort to soften the blow from the “Physical Description” of Obama genitals sent to Michelle Obama.

The newest claim being circulated by Obama Surrogates is that I “sent people to health clubs to obtain an accurate description of Barack Obama’s genitals!”

I truly hate to burst their bubble (NOT), but this description did not come from any health club nor have I ever sent anyone to ask anyone else. Although I am more than willing to receive the names of these people in Health Clubs that Obama surrogates say can describe his nut sack!

259

#252 Ladyhawkke

The will do something about it if they want to do something about it.

The Americans who like being told what to think by their TV may still hopey feeley that this guy is going to make good things happen. Based on what I know, my prediction in chaos. The only question is about how fast his system will fail. The thing is, it is not all just about BO.

The only positive things I see in any of his programs are for improved infrastructures and energy programs but that is most likely to be drained by graft. Otherwise, I would very likey to be participating in those, myself. All his corrupt, fascist and big brother stuff, I will oppose to my last breath.

What I see in the big picture is that people are positioning to remove him from office if it suites their agenda. If he does what he is told, the problems will go away. If he is successful and does what he is told, it will all go away. There are people who know what is on BO’s birth certificate in Hawaii and what is written in his parent’s divorce decree. THEY KNOW. That just gives them the power to remove him and reverse him, anytime. We will, in fact, have no president. He is a puppet, put in place to control the masses.

It is my belief that it is not possible to do what such people tell you AND be successful. If it had been, George W. Bush would have been successful. The right wingnuts have had their chance to try to make their stinking thinking work and now the left wingnuts are going to have their chance to try to make their stinking thinking work. I will not change the reality that it is all stinking thinking. Their delusion is that their system of tyranny is better. Their delusion is that they are somehow better than the “masses” they look down on.

When the voice of the people is heard and respected, when the masses can make informed choices, when elections are fair and people have a choice in their own destiny, then we have a form of government that can work.

If I am wrong, we have merely documented alot of campaign finance fraud. Beats watching BO’s coronation.

261

Headclunker 01.18.09 at 12:40 pm

Hey, I like crazy Larry. What is a fraudulent president without tabloid sexual escapades? He is just one more clown in the circus. If the country is going to have BO for emperor, we might as well have some fun with it. America is going to find out what BO’s genitals look like, but BO will still not release the BC on file in Hawaii.

Is that NUTS????????????????????????

Good Afternoon Pumas.

Everyone knows that Obama is the Manchurian candidate, SELECTED by a powerful few, and a puppet sock for the powerful wealthy corporations such as George Soros et.al.

You know the old adage, “Control the massagers’ and you control the message.” Who has total control of the MSM not only in America but around the world?

So in order to find out who the masters are because it is a group; find out who owns the major newspapers, major television stations, and the major internet control because they are the powerful people behind Obama; who will have the most powerful seat in the American government on January 20,2009.

Know the Controllers and you will know where America is headed, they have an agenda and I intuit that it is not beneficial for America.

If not for the courage of President Bush to stand up for what he believed was right for this country, popularity be damned, what happened at the Twin Towers, Flight 93 and the Pentagon would have been repeated many times over.
————————-
Do you have evidence for this?

266

ChristineRI 01.18.09 at 6:54 pm

This link shows what is public knowledge. For national security reasons, the public is only privy to cases that have been brought to trial or are awaiting trial. My point is that because of President Bush’s strong convictions to national security, terrorist organizations for the most part have been laying low, waiting for an administration whose convictions are not as strong, or non-existent.
