I would like to thank the PUMA PAC for their support in initiating the FEC complaint about BO’s campaign finances and for raising the awareness about the problem with their prowls and posts.
We are off to a great start. The clock is ticking. The FEC effectively has this calendar year to decide about an audit of BO’s campaign finances. Then record retention requirements start to lapse on his 2007 records.
We currently have identified around 1,000 donors over the $4,600 limit, 4,000 donors with foreign addresses, and 40,000 donors who’s allocations raise questions about violations of the $2,300 per campaign limit. At this time, I am finishing up the update of the $4,600 limit exceedances.

Yeah, I’ve heard that one. A while ago, there was a chain e-mail/ forwarding and also a video (edited by who knows) showing that the plane never hit the Pentagon. There were arrows and diagrams even. Could probably still find a youtube on it. Anyway, it’s just one of those conspiracy theories that got some buzz. Not sure what the point of it is, except to say–what? That the Pentagon was really bombed instead of a plane hitting it? Ok, so what happened to the plane, meaning, all those people who were supposedly on it? They were never on a plane–they were individually assassinated for unrelated issues. That’s why they disappeared? Or maybe they were all made up, and then actors played their spouses…see where I am going? I don’t really get the point of that “it wasn’t a plane that hit the pentagon” theory. So, I gues if you ever hear someone mention it, just walk down the line of questions, asking, what would be the point of that and that, etc. In other words: what’s the logic behind thinking as such.

There are a lot of questions re Obama that we do not have answers to. When I bring up the questions, then often times people want to discredit you by pursuing a line of questioning that you can’t fully answer.
It’s not your job to be able to fully answer questions regarding Obama. It’s just simply raising questions that have not been answered by people who should be pursuing answers.
I think badgering someone over 9/11 who is proposing an alternative theory is the same thing. You can accept or reject their questions but the investigations and answers that should be investigated and released have never happened.
I do not believe the simple little story that goes with 9/11.
For instance, I believe that it is possible that the buildings were pre-set with explosives. But I can’t prove it and I don’t know the high level connections that would lead to the end result.
A friend of mine who worked in the insurance industry and whose company was one of the insurers for WTC told me that the debt was abruptly paid off on those buildings just days before.

I’ve heard the stories and watched the videos of the conspiracy theories surrounding the events of 9/11 with an open mind. In the end, I just can’t bring myself to believe our government would be evil enough to kill 3,000 American citizens. Having served most of adult life in the military, I know that there are plenty of other ways we could have feigned a terrorist attack without such a tragic loss of life and much more physical damage.
And seriously, what did we gain? An excuse to attack Afghanistan? We could have gotten on our holy horses and attacked the Taliban on principle alone. We did not need an excuse.

He reads speeches from a friggin teleprompter and the swooning from the pundits is unbearable. What am I missing here?
The talk now is of renaming schools and streets in his honor while there are plans afoot to name a holiday after him. This stuff is giving me agita because, try as I might, I am unable to get past who he is.
If there is a program out there for people like me who just can’t seem to adapt, pass it along. There might just be something lurking in my DNA that does not allow me to get past the hypocrisy. I may be in need of an Obama intervention because this is just getting to be a little too much.

Just wanted to piggyback comment on some thoughts here regarding the treatment of MLK, Jr.’s legacy at this point in history. We always make a big deal of MLK at the school where I teach, especially since the population is 99% AA. A very outspoken AA teacher tried to present a tape of MLK’s “I Have a Dream” speech the other day to her class, but ended up in tears herself. She told me all the kids wanted to talk about was Obama. It hurt her that all the suffering and accomplishments, and ultimate sacrifice that MLK made is not as appreciated (if understood at all) by our young generation now, because they are mesmerized by Obama-the-Celebrity-President. This is augmented by the nonstop media love and the hyper-celebrations from prominent music and movie heroes they worship. It’s all about image.
I keep telling my students (through gritted teeth) that this man must now DO something to make America better. One cannot ride on waving hands of the crowds forever.

Its actually a little different for me…i have 35 music students…most are pretty well educated and a few very impoverished…and about half boys and girls…and about 50% white 25% black a few latinos asians and middle eastern…the majority have very little idea about mlk…so i once gave them reading material… in hopes they dont confuse That One and his longing for power versus MLK that actually put his life on the line.

Ario, I too find that my students don’t have a clue what MLK is about, and he was jailed right here in my fine city of Birmingham. We are the sight of the famous Childdren’s March in 1963, and they don’t know about that UNLESS I TEACH IT. My students think MLK freed the slaves. Now they comment that Obama is going to “finish” freeing the country. I just beat my head on the wall sometimes.

Son came in and turned the TV to Fox, that is a NONO..but just to give us a little uplift, at least for me, they are reporting that ONLY 1,800 people showed up in Delware…where are the Millions..and showed a shot of only a handful..looked like a 1,000 at most, waited in Baltimore the next stop. just checked out the cnn clip on Siskind. Maybe she mentioned something about PUMA that did not get into the story. Who knows. I will say this, though, against her spot – she said the problem with the Ms. cover is that we don’t need a man to stand up for us, that women can stand up for ourselves.
WTF? How about this – the problem with the cover is that Barack “brush the bitch off” Obama, Mr. “99 problems and a bitch ain’t one” is on it! She absolutely missed the boat there, and again, maybe her more on the mark comments were edited out, but . . . .

Dragonfly, I can assure Amy Siskind did not mention PUMA. She has distanced herself from PUMA’s go back and read Harriet Christians letter. She wants nothing to do with PUMA’s, she wrote to me saying that she gave BJ one day for her dying daughter but couldn’t give three. All over her prevarication on Favreau.
