Laws and taxes? Those are for little people. Not for pooh-bahs like Tim Geithner:
“WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama’s choice to run the Treasury Department and lead the economic rescue effort disclosed publicly Tuesday that he failed to pay $34,000 in taxes from 2001 to 2004, a last-minute complication in an otherwise smooth path to confirmation.”
(He’s a super genius, in case you haven’t heard, which is surprising, since the SCFP has only mentioned it, like 10 million times.)
But, this doesn’t seem too bright:
On Nov. 21, 2008, Geithner paid $25,970 in these overdue taxes plus interest — $2,364 and interest of $956 for 2001 and $16,812 and interest of $5838 for 2002 (Geithner had been notified in 2006 by the IRS that he owed self-employment taxes and interest for 2003 and 2004, after which he paid tax and interest totaling $17,230).
So, let me get this straight. A millionaire Wall Street fat cat, chair of the New York Fed, policy secretary for the International Monetary Fund, and TREASURY SECRETARY designee . . .

Huckabee pans Palin’s interview with Couric

Former GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee was both sympathetic and critical of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
In an interview in the current issue of Esquire, Huckabee speaks sympathetically of Palin, saying she had been subjected to “sexist things that would never have been asked of a male candidate.”
But he pushed back against Palin’s assertion that high-profile journalists – particularly Katie Couric of CBS – were biased in their interviews with her.

I’m still mad at Hillary for not fighting till the end, but it was ultimately her decision on how to lead her life. She gave us all she could, they took her out. Griffin, I personally have moved on. This hasn’t been about Hillary for me in months.
Still, just because Hillary didn’t do things the way we may have wanted does not mean she is worthless.
She can do many great things. maybe not the way you or I would, but just the same, she is an accomplished woman who has done many good things in her lifetime through her public service and will continue to do so.

We did make a difference. We showed how to protest in peace. How to get our point across without violence. Even the Police loved us! We taught a lot of people to go ahead and speak up, I was told over and over again by people on the streets that they admired our courage, and perseverance.
We are still doing that. Pumas rock!
