America needs to know! Financial responsibility is critical to the integrity of the election process. We need the FEC to protect that integrity with an audit the Obama Campaign. Barack Obama’s windfall $741 million in campaign funds allowed him to outspend his public funded opponent 2:1 and had a profound effect on the outcome of the presidential election.
Donors are reported for only $485 million, just 65% of the total. Are the other $255 million, unaccounted for in federally mandated reporting, from legal sources? Where did the remaining 35% come from and whose interest do those funds represent? Studies submitted to the FEC (MUR 6142) show at least 893 over-limit donations in Obama’s Pre-General Report totaling $1.3 million in illicit campaign funds. The Post-General Report appears to contain even more. This is an indication of some serious problems. There are about 2.5 million reported transactions; however a single reported donor may have several hundred transactions. The sheer volume of transactions obscures clarity for the 65% of the funds that have donors reported.
Diligent amateur auditors found these anomalies during simple studies; Americans deserve the confidence that only an impartial, professional oversight agency can provide. Shall the highest office of our government go to the highest bidder?

Conventional wisdom holds that U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald ordered the FBI to arrest Rod Blagojevich before sunrise Tuesday in order to stop a crime from being committed. That would have been the sale of the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.
But the opposite is true: Members of Fitzgerald’s team are livid the scheme didn’t advance, at least for a little longer, according to some people close to Fitzgerald’s office. Why? Because had the plot unfolded, they might have had an opportunity most feds can only dream of: A chance to catch the sale of a Senate seat on tape, including the sellers and the buyers.
The precise timing of Tuesday’s dramatic, pre-dawn arrest was not dictated by Fitzgerald, nor was it dictated by the pace of Blagojevich’s alleged “crime spree.” It was dictated by the Chicago Tribune, according to people close to the investigation and a careful reading of the FBI’s affidavit in the case.

I would expect the Trib to protect BO–they did endorse him out of a field of six back when he was running in the primary (against the machine candidate, among others) and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to predict their support of him for president. But would they protect Jesse Jr, who has had ambitions to be mayor of Chicago? Whether intentional or not, Jesse appears to have been protected for now, at least unless more tapes come out about “candidate 5″. Putting Jesse Jr. in the senate seat may also be one way to get him out of Chicago city politics.

Sarah Palin’s home church in Wasilla, Alaska got severely burned over the weekend, and there is a good chance this was arson. The media hardly blinked at the story—could you imagine what the response would have been if Barack Obama’s church was burned? I have not seen it recorded whether John F. Kennedy, after he was elected president in 1960, held conversations with Massachusetts Gov. Foster Furcolo as to who would be appointed to fill his seat in the Senate. History does record that Furcolo, just nine days before turning the governorship over to the Republican elected to succeed him, appointed one Benjamin A. Smith II, a college roommate of Kennedy’s and former mayor of Gloucester, who chose not to seek the seat in the next election in 1962, which happened to be the year in which Edward Kennedy turned 30 and was therefore old enough to run for it.
Memory tells me that there was little fuss made of this at the time. Ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy obviously wanted someone appointed to keep the seat warm for Teddy, and so it was done. And Edward Kennedy has turned out to be an able and accomplished senator.
That was a different tableau from the one we have seen unfold in Chicago this past week. Furcolo was an intelligent man, disappointed to have failed to win the state’s other Senate seat and destined not to win elective office again. But he knew that it would not pay to buck the Kennedys.

I don’t think Caroline Kennedy was given the seat yet either. I beleive Patterson intends to keep to his word that the appointment will be announced on or near January 20th. I also heard on talk readio that there are many Democrats barking about her even being in contention (once where I can agree). However, I would imagine it is initially generated by Cuomo who I understand also wants the seat, which I do not want to see.

The Obama transition office notified reporters moments ago that it will not release information on contacts that Obama staff members had with advisers to Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich until next week.
Obama Transition Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer said in a statement that the Obama team delayed release of the information at the request of U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald.
“At the direction of the President-elect, a review of Transition staff contacts with Governor Blagojevich and his office has been conducted and completed and is ready for release. That review affirmed the public statements of the President-elect that he had no contact with the governor or his staff, and that the President-elect’s staff was not involved in inappropriate discussions with the governor or his staff over the selection of his successor as US Senator,” Pfeiffer said in the statment.
“Also at the President-elect’s direction, Gregory Graig, counsel to the Transition, has kept the US Attorney’s office informed of this fact-gathering process in order to ensure our full cooperation with the investigation,” the statement continued.
“In the course of those discussions, the US Attorney’s office requested the public release of the Transition review be deferred until the week of December 22, in order not to impede their investigation of the governor. The Transition has agreed to this revised timetable for release,” Pfeiffer added.

Did I read that the “investigation” by the “transition team” is now complete (but that they can’t release it to the public for another week), and that they are saying- in effect- that Oblahblah didn’t have any contact with Blago???? I mean, honestly… there are videos and photos to prove just the OPPOSITE! Obama sure is confident that he can say whatever lie he wants to now and it’ll be accepted as gospel truth, even if it’s got evidence on tape of the contrary! Public requests to audit Obama campaign
Dear Requester(s),
This response acknowledges the receipt of your e-mail comment/question regarding the suggestion that the campaign accounts of President-Elect Obama be audited or otherwise “investigated”.
As you may know, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) is an independent regulatory agency charged with administering and enforcing the Federal Election Campaign Act (the Act). That statute, among other things, limits the sources and amounts of contributions used to finance federal elections and requires political committees to register and file reports disclosing their financial activity. The Act also establishes formal procedures the FEC must follow as it administers and enforces the law.
Specifically, the Commission learns of possible campaign finance violations in one of three proscribed ways. The first centers on the agency’s own monitoring process; possible violations are discovered through a review of a political committee’s reports or through a Commission audit. The second method, the complaint process, largely relies on the participation of the public—anyone may file a complaint, which alleges violations and explains the basis for the allegations. The third method is the referral process—possible violations discovered by other agencies are referred to the Commission. Each of these methods can lead to the opening of an FEC enforcement action or Matter Under Review (MUR). The law establishes a number of safeguards designed to ensure due process for those involved in an enforcement action, and requires that MURs remain confidential until the Commission closes the case and releases the information to the public (see 2 U.S.C. §437g(a)(12)). As a result, no information is readily available to the public regarding any ongoing enforcement action.
Please note, that Presidential candidates who accept funds from the Presidential Public Funding Program must agree (in advance) to adhere to a number of conditions regarding the receipt of those funds. Specifically, submitting to an audit after the conclusion of the election is one such condition. Presidential candidates who do not choose to avail themselves of the public funding program do not face a mandatory audit, but could be audited for cause, in a manner similar to other non-publicly funded federal campaign committees.
There is currently no procedure for individuals (or parties outside the process described above) to request the audit of any federal political committee. However, if you have specific knowledge or information that gives you reason to believe a violation of the Federal Election Campaign Act and/or Regulations has occurred, you must file a formal complaint in order to initiate any action on the matter. For more information about this process, please consult our brochure entitled “Filing a Complaint,” attached below:

Government domain names (”.gov”) for websites are supposed to be restricted to eligible government organizations and programs.
Does Barack Obama’s transition website, http://www.change.gov — which is basically a souped-up version of his campaign site — qualify?
Did the GSA, which administers the rules governing .gov websites, vet this site? One industry exec doesn’t think so, and has sent a complaint:
To whom it may concern,
Recently a new .gov domain name was registered. The name of this domain was http://www.change.gov. This appears to be a violation of the Domain Naming Conventions Summary located at https://www.dotgov.gov/dnc.aspx. The domain does not appear to meet the criteria outlined on that page. It is my belief that the name was granted without the proper review, due to the current political climate and may in fact have been a political favor which is a clear violation of federal law.
What is the process to file a complaint regarding improper use of the .gov TLD?

Came across a brief article on Fitzgerald. Overall positive about Fitzgerald but also not sure how I am to interpret Sen Schumer’s comment about Fitzgerald in this article. I don’t trust Schumer as he is one who has proven to get so many tingles up his leg for Obatic. Does he know how Fitzgerald intends to proceed with the investigation? I sure would like to know.

BO is already undermining Hillary by keeping Samantha Powers and wanting the UN spot to become a Cabinet position with Susan Rice. I think HC was set up. Hey PUMA,
Great Prowl. Never mind the bounce backs, we are letting them know we are here. The complaints are in already and we will be sending some more. What we want them to know is that there are alot of people who know the complaint has been filed.
Obama was counting on the FEC to be overloaded with his 2.5 million donation transaction and the holidays to figure out was was going on in time to do anything about it before he could get in office and make it all go away.

I was listening to NPR radio while driving to jury duty. Ya,, just had to waste ONE perfectly good day sitting around. I was quite vocal about all sorts of stuff so they didn’t choose me
Anyway, about NPR, some African immigrant in France concocted to sell an energy drink and named it after Obama and had his face on the can. Apparently he is so happy of Obama’s African roots and even tho his is an African immigrant in France, is very proud that someone who comes from a broken home and was raised by his grandmother can grow up to be a President. Not exactly my cup of morning tea to hear this.
I think the energy drink is Koolaid.
