MAYBE the reason that Emmanual isn’t being investigated is because he’s singing to the FBI? I can only hope…. BUT I rather doubt he- or Rezko, OR the IL gov or anyone else,will ever implicate “the one” with anything that can actually be “proven” and “stick”… they’re too afraid of the “machine” that will go against them if they do that. AND, I’m afraid, the “powers that be” are afraid to bring any charges against “the one” even if they DO find anything- for fear of creating a civil war in the U.S… (sigh)… what about protecting our laws and constitution????? CHICAGO – President-elect Barack Obama asked the White House if his family could move to Washington earlier than normal, but aides say the White House couldn’t give them the official guest house as early as his family wanted.
The Obamas had asked White House officials to move into Blair House about two weeks before the traditional date so their two daughters could start their new school when classes resume Jan. 5. Obama aides say the White House told them that the request cannot be met because the current administration still has plans for the historic government home across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House.
An Obama aide said the family was told that there were previously scheduled events at the Blair House and guests could not be displaced. The aide, who was not authorized to speak about Obama family matters, spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Sally McDonough, first lady Laura Bush’s press secretary, declined to comment on the transition conversations, but said the Blair House would be available on January 15, the traditional date it becomes available for new presidents and their families.
Obama’s two daughters — 10-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha — are planning to attend Sidwell Friends School. Classes start more than a week before the incoming first family could stay at Blair House.
A second Obama aide said the family remains optimistic the transition from Chicago to Washington would be smooth, regardless of living location.
Sidwell is a private Quaker school with a campus in northwest Washington for grades 5-12 and another in suburban Bethesda, Md., for kindergarten through fourth grade. Malia is in fifth grade and Sasha is in second grade.
Al Gore III, the son of former Vice President Al Gore, attended Sidwell. Vice President-elect Joe Biden’s grandchildren also attend the school.

You don’t think that Obama’s team will harvest email addresses this way just to offer people legit jobs do you ? These people are from Chicago. Dances – I just got an AT&T connect card… You know the silly commercial with the guy in a swamp holding his lap top. It costs $60 a month. I am hoping it works in most places I want to use it in. I’m not sure if it’s because Wisconsin is so close to Illinois or what… but we’ve ALWAYS known here in WI that Chicago politics has a history of being linked with the mafia, and being extremely dirty.. and that it STILL has all those “connections”, even though a more modern form of it. Not sure why so many seem surprised by all this. This is, unfortunately, part and parcel of “normal Chicago politics” for many years now. …and ANYBODY who thinks O was “free” of all that didn’t understand the political “system” there. There is NO WAY that O could’ve even gotten into the IL legislature if he weren’t enmeshed in that “system”, much less get as high as he did!

In no way am I intending to belittle or insult anyone who may or may not suffer from mental illness. It is a very real disease and I would not want anyone to think I am making light of their situation. The joke was about Blago ‘claiming” it as a defense or cover for his law-breaking activities.

If this were a couple hours of tape during one or two days it would be different… but we’re talking about hundreds of hours of tape over a period of over a month’s time… that “paints” a picture of what the mental state of the person is with the composite of all those conversations. Any trained psycologist could listen to all those hundreds of hours of tapes over that long of a time period and make a professional evaluation based on all of that information about how “healthy” B’s mind was. They will, I am certain, hear a coherent train of thought, connected together in a logical fashion, with memory functions clear… so what exactly is mentally incompetant mean? Does that mean just thinking illegal thoughts? If the thoughts are clear, concise, planned, logical, sequenced… but just illegal… is that the only criteria for being incapacited mentally???

Indian-American businessmen in the Chicago area probably know how to play the game pretty well. Wasn’t there something about some Indian-owned pharmacies in Chicago area paying politicians so their medicaid charges would not be audited? Would imagine other businessmen might have similar reasons to attend a fundraiser.

There’s a kind of “rump” site for Fitz I was looking at; patrickfitzgerald.blogspot.com instead of patrickjfitzgerald.blogspot.com . The latter has continuous archives going back to Oct.’05, links to DOJ, etc. Pretty elaborate hoax.
