I posted this downstairs earlier I thought it was worth reposting:
This will make your blood boil. This lady does a great job of explaining herself and the 2nd amendment. This is good.
Even if you usually don’t watch video clips, be sure to PLAY this one!
This is a must watch video; after watching the video all I can say is: Watch their faces as she speaks. She understands the 2nd Amendment in a way that they never will. Pass this clip to everyone you know.

I forget what this prowl was called but here’s a part of the response from one of my senators.
“Please know that I share your concerns about the integrity of our voting system. I believe that the right to vote is one of the most sacred rights of American citizenship and ensuring that votes are counted is essential to our democracy. Please rest assured, I will be paying close attention to election-related issues as they unfold during the 110th Congress. Please keep in touch.”

auto bailout prowl- part of the email response from one of my senators:
“I want the auto industry to remain viable and continue to support the millions of jobs around the country which depend on its success. However, I cannot support providing funds without assurances that the automakers have a strategy to restructure and become viable, competitive companies. The auto industry cannot continue to follow a failed business model and then ask for help. I will need to be convinced that the loans will not only save jobs, but that industry leaders will take restructuring seriously and work to reinvigorate their industry. If the federal government- funded by working and taxpaying families- is expected to explore financial aid to these corporations, then I expect to hear about sacrifices that industry management will make during these tough times. Thank you for sharing your views with me about this important issue, and I will keep your comments in mind. Please do not hesitate to contact me again in the future.”

Team Obama:”All I can tell you is that it is just pure garbage.”
Team Obama Calls Birth Cert. Request Garbage
——————————————————————————–
According to the WorldNetDaily headline above, that was the retort of an Obama campaign spokesperson when asked about complaints requesting that Senator Obama produce a valid Birth Certificate to prove that he is constitutionally eligible to be President of the United States.
Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States, states, “No person except a natural born citizen of the United States, at the time of adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President.”
The Constitution of the United States is NOT “garbage” and furthermore, securing the rights of the people under the Constitution is NOT “garbage”!
The Obama campaign’s response is an elitist, condescending slap in the face to patriotic Americans. No one is above the law and Team Obama cannot make the question of Obama’s eligibility go away by disrespecting the American people – and, by inference, the Constitution of the United States.
That’s why we just filed an action that Senator Obama will not be able to ignore… an action that WILL NOT GO AWAY!
In fact, in my humble opinion… we will ONLY “LOSE” if we do NOT have the resources we need to carry on for as long as it takes, and we will “win” as long as we can carry on this fight (more on that later).
SO PLEASE KEEP READING… I promise that when you’re done, you will agree that we have filed the mother of all actions.
Constitution and the integrity of our electoral process?
The Obama campaign has a crack team of high-priced law firms – that’s not three lawyers but THREE LAW FIRMS – that will use every means that money can buy to fight this action.

There are probably many reasons for why this is happening, some of them are likely out of anyone’s control, but I believe there is something we can work on immediately to improve this.
I suggest we need to work on two fronts: We need to work on our growth, but it is just as important to sustain our existing membership.
Some initial thoughts regarding our existing membership are:
We should have a bi-weekly or monthly newsletter to all members; the purpose is to inform as well as to say hi. (Out of sight, out of mind)
Polls are fun and very effective in obtaining interests and feedback. Polls for finding out topics of interest that are most appealing to Pumas should be administered regularly on the blog or thru the newsletters.
In my opinion, we must focus on topics and issues that would resonate with the majority of Pumas in order to maintain interests and supports.
PUMA means more than Hillary, more than Nobama, and more than the DNC. The day PUMA disappears is also the day Democracy, along with the basic human goodness and fairness die.

Thanks for the post. The speaker’s parents and many other victims would have surv ived if she had been permitted by law to carry her gun in her purse. Taking away gun rights is just another means of our awful legislators to have control over us. Sunshinelvr and your northern neighbor
I am an older PUMA who comments intermittently, have done some prowls as my capabilities have allowed, and have donated when able. I often lurk and sometimes feel left out and sometimes offended by some posters who say they don’t want to work with people they do not know well. I have offered to work on the BO bc issue, but have not heard anything back in the way of e-mail request for assistance. The group seems to be closed except to a few who compliment each other back and forth and seem to ignore the rest of us.
We will not grow if we are exclusionary, but we do need to make sure that we are not infiltrated to death EITHER.
I despise Obama and the Democratic Party and leadership. I despise the media and all of those who could speak out about this travesty and haven’t. Meanwhile our country is being sold down the proverbial river. I am deeply saddened that Hillary and Bill are part of this sham.

atypical.. I’m with you.. BUT I don’t despise the Democratic Party… what I despise is this TAKEOVER of the DNC and how the “current version” of it. I like the Democratic Party of JFK and RFK. I hate what they have made it into the past decade or so. By the way, one little thing here about Bill Clinton as long as we’re talking the DNC. The Monica Lewinsky thing didn’t bother me… but something really DID eat at me. I couldn’t handle him putting his hand on the Bible, and swearing an oath that he was telling the truth about her, when he wasn’t. THAT bothered me. I know that O will be doing the same thing when he puts HIS hand on a Bible and swears to uphold the constitution. Bill set the example by lying under oath in that case, unfortunately. Like I said, the deed itself (shrug)… but lying under oath is another matter. To me that’s serious stuff. If you don’t mind lying under oath with your hand on a Bible, then … I don’t know what to think anymore…..

http://www.noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/12/01/secretary-of-state-or-secretary-at-war/
So what was Obama’s motivation for selecting Hillary Clinton to be his Secretary of State? The political answer is clearly to keep her from being a potential opposition force to him in the Senate and for his second term re-election. Obama and Clinton had very different points of view during the campaign, with Clinton being very critical of Obama when it came to issues regarding the Middle East for instance and Iran. So it is reasonable to ask: Will Clinton be the primary foreign policy force or is Obama already planning to undercut her influence and authority?
One troubling clue came out late last week when it was revealed that Samantha Power had been retained and added to Obama’s State Department transition team. Power, one of Obama’s foreign policy advisors when the campaign began, had been supposedly fired by Obama when she publicly called Obama’s opponent Hillary Clinton “a monster.”
Now Power is charged with hiring people to work for the “monster” and will likely work for Hillary herself. Clearly this is not the choice of Hillary Clinton. So does it signal Obama’s intention to run foreign policy directly out of his office and in a direction that may not be consistent with Hillary Clinton’s positions?
NewOrleansPuma 12.01.08 at 6:44 pm

Part of a speech given by Dr. Marvin Hier from the Simon Wiesenthal center. He hits the nail on the head.
The other day, I saw someone on television making the point that we must understand the grievances of the terrorists – that the world has neglected them. My friends, if there is anyone who has grievances in history – it should be the Jewish people and, particularly, the generation of survivors of the Holocaust – who witnessed 1/3 of world Jewry gassed and murdered. They too had grievances – but did you ever see children of survivors blowing up hospitals, hotels, schools, and restaurants?
Yet what was their reaction? They picked themselves up by the bootstraps, taught themselves how to smile and love again, educated their children to dignify the world and not to destroy it – to contribute to it and not to demean it.
Link to the entire speech.

Good Evening, Everyone -
Since we were slow moving here, I decided to check my mail…this is what was posted on AOL’s Political Machine. I read the ad in the Chicago Trib – unfortunately, not legible enough to be copied here….very exacting and precise. No wonder THAT ONE needed to make his National Security Appointments announcement today….he knew this was being published today and Wednesday. We shall see if this has any effect..I hope so. I was shocked when I first spotted it:
“Obama Birth Certificate Rears Its Head – Again
By Liza Porteus Viana
Dec 1st 2008 2:44PM
Filed Under:eBarack Obama, 2008 President, Obama Administration
The election may be over, but not the controversy.
Just when you thought the flap over the genuineness of Barack Obama’s birth certificate was all said and done, in comes the We The People Foundation.
The group purchases a full-page ad in The Chicago Tribune – the newspaper of the president-elect’s hometown – today and Wednesday, called “Open Letter to Mr. Obama.” It’s described by the foundation as a “formal Petition for a Redress (Remedy) for the alleged violation of the ‘natural born citizen’ clause of the Constitution of the United States of America.”
Click here to view the ad.
“Mr. Obama is respectfully requested to direct the Hawaiian officials to provide access to his original birth certificate on December 5-7 by our team of forensic scientists, and to provide additional documentary evidence establishing his citizenship status prior to our Washington, D.C. press conference on December 8,” the foundation says. PolitiFact has said it has no reason to doubt the authenticity of the document.
Among other complaints, the foundation charges:
-that the Obama campaign posted on the Internet an “unsigned, forged and thoroughly discredited, computer-generated birth form created in 2007″
-the Hawaii Dept of Health won’t confirm Obama’s assertion that you were born in Hawaii (the director of Hawaii’s Department of Health on Oct. 31 personally verified that the health department holds Obama’s original birth certificate.)
-there are legal affidavits stating Obama was actually born in Kenya
-Obama’s grandmother is recorded on tape saying she attended your birth in Kenya.
-In 1965, Obama’s mother legally relinquished whatever Kenyan or U.S. citizenship she and her son had by marrying an Indonesian and becoming a naturalized Indonesian citizen.
We the People is in the process of choosing the forensic scientists who would travel to Hawaii to examine Obama’s original birth certificate, if Obama directs Hawaiian officials to provide it. The group estimates costs will be about $20,000 to successfully complete the task, and they need money. Any donors out there?
The birth certificate issue is like this annoying itch that just won’t go away. During the campaign, the Obama camp tried to stamp out the rumors by posting information – and the birth certificate – on its Fight the Smears site. But that apparently hasn’t stopped the rumor mill.
A Kentucky truck driver last week filed a demand that Obama prove he is a natural-born U.S. citizen. Daniel John Essek, 47, wants the former Illinois senator to provide a copy of his birth certificate to a federal judge in London for verification.
“I may very well be chasing windmills thinking they’re monsters,” Essek told the Lexington Herald-Leader.
A Pennsylvania judge threw out a pre-election court challenge to the citizenship issue, saying its arguments were frivolous. Other similar lawsuits have also been filed.
Right Side News on Sunday so graciously pointed out that “Hawaii Revised Statute 338-17.8 allows registration of birth in Hawaii for a child that was born outside of Hawaii to parents who, for a year preceding the childs birth, claimed Hawaii as their place of residence. The parents would be issued a Certification of Live Birth. This is not proof of where the child was born. It only proves that the parents claimed Hawaii as their main place of residence for the prior year.”
This Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court judges will conference. It’s expected the question of whether Obama is actually eligible to become the next president will come up. If four of the nine justices vote to hear the case, brought by Leo C. Donofrio against the New Jersey secretary of state, oral argument may be scheduled.
You know the Internet is going to be abuzz with activity surrounding Friday’s conference. We’ll try to sift through the sludge and bring you the facts.

I spent most of my time today talking to lawyers on my coming foreclosure and other people. There seem to be many places trying to help but in reality there is no help.
One individual working for the state and county said he knows of 300 foreclosures and NOT one has gotten any help. That the banks are keeping all the money and not a dime has come down to help people.
I will probably be homeless by Aug Sept. Incredible. homeless. I am still in denial. My daughter is in worse denial then me. she keeps thinking someone is going to help.
I will admit that I could take a big gamble and try to hold on to something. But it seems crazy to even try. I am tired of every dime going to the bank. Country Wide. A lawyer told me I am a classic case. That Country Wide defrauded me. But there is not much I can go except pay the mortgage.
There is a small chance of getting a lower mortgage but I do not see how I can hardly afford that. even if cut in half.
Of course when the ecomony comes back the rich will own my house and make a huge profit. I will be probably in a rental unit of some kind. Probably or hopefully a nice one room apt. All I need is my computer and internet hook up and I will be fine. I have not really watched TV in 10 years except for a few things like the outbreak of war in Iraq. I wanted to see what was happening. And a little of this election. But I got sick of MSM pretty fast. The good stuff is here at PUMA and the internet.
I see another lawyer tomorrow to discuss bankruptcy. Oh Joy. this is what I worked so hard for all my life and scrimpted and saved.
I have a mortgage payment due tomorrow. I can go 15 days late. then I am really late and the trouble starts about Dec 15. What should I do.
If someone wants to buy a house cheap let me know. When the market comes back this will be a winner.
I guess with foreclosure you have to be 3 months late on payments then they begin foreclosure which takes about 6 more months. That totals 9 months from today. A few people get lucky and get a year out of it.
Maybe once the Democrats get into office they will force the banks to use the money. But even with that I would need too much help.
I just hope I get a lot of spiritual growth out of this. I work on it each night as I go to sleep. Trying to detach from the world and turn more spiritual.

Democrats May Flip Coleman Win If He Tops Tally
Monday, December 1, 2008 7:14 PM
By: David A. Patten Article Font Size
Senate Democrats could reject GOP Sen. Norm Coleman’s re-election if Minnesota officials declare him the winner over rival Al Franken, sources tell Newsmax.
“I think the real issue is what the Senate will do,” journalist, author, and commentator John Fund told Newsmax.
Echoing that is Washington University political scientist Steven Smith, who told Minnesota Public Radio, “Ultimately, the Senate has complete authority to determine who was elected.”
Coleman is clinging to a razor-thin lead of about 270 votes, with a Friday deadline looming for completion of a recount that state law requires because the results were so close.
The stakes are high: Depending on the results of the Chambliss-Martin runoff election Tuesday in Georgia, a Franken victory could give President-elect Barack Obama the 60-vote margin he would need to push his agenda through Congress.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid raised the specter of Senate intervention on Franken’s behalf Nov. 26, when he strongly protested Minnesota State Canvassing Board rulings that he said “give cause for great concern.”
“As the process moves forward, Minnesota authorities must ensure that no voter is disenfranchised,” Reid warned. “A citizen’s right to have his or her vote counted is fundamental in our democracy.”
Reid’s statement drew a sharp reaction from the Coleman camp, in which Campaign Manager Cullen Sheehan called Reid’s remarks “stunning.”
“This says that Franken is fully prepared and armed to take this matter to the United States Senate and that the Senate will be receptive — even if Franken fails to succeed in winning the recount,” Sheehan said.
Fund offered Newsmax a similar interpretation: “I think Harry Reid is signaling that perhaps the Senate will play hardball in January” if Franken isn’t declared the winner.
The recount is considered unlikely to change the election’s outcome, and the thousands of challenges to individual ballots that both campaigns filed are not expected to be decisive.
It appears likely that Franken soon will have just two options to stave off defeat: a lawsuit to force Minnesota officials to count absentee ballots that had been rejected as invalid and a U.S. Senate investigation into whether votes in the election were counted properly.
“The bottom line here: Franken is playing Hail Mary passes,” said Fund, author of “Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy.” “But he’s got to play them all. Otherwise, he will lose his best and perhaps only chance to become a U.S. senator.”
Franken attorney Marc Elias has suggested that the Franken campaign could rely on U.S. Senate intervention.
“Whether it is at the county level, before the state canvassing board, before the courts of Minnesota or before the United States Senate, we do not know,” Elias recently told reporters. “But we remain confident that, one way or another, all lawful votes will be counted in this election.”
This would not be the first time the Senate refused to validate the results of a cliffhanger election.
In 1974, a recount showed that Louis Wyman, a GOP congressman from New Hampshire, had defeated Democrat John Durkin, winning election to the U.S. Senate by just two votes.
Democratic senators, however, launched an investigation into whether all ballots had been counted properly. They tried on six occasions to award the seat to Durkin but couldn’t muster the votes.
The deadlock dragged on for seven months, until the two candidates finally agreed to a new election. Democrat Durkin won the runoff by nearly 30,000 votes.
Whether Democrats and the Obama administration would want to incite the intense partisan rancor that would follow such a contentious process is hard to say.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is urging senators to stay out of the contest. “The recount process in Minnesota is being handled by Minnesotans, not D.C. politicians,” McConnell said Nov. 27. “And while neither side will agree with every twist and turn or every decision, I would hope that Washington partisans would refrain from injecting themselves into what is, by design, a nonpartisan process.”
Althoughy the temptation to weaken the GOP further by shutting Coleman out of the Senate would be strong, the political cost to Democrats could be high.
“Old hands in the Senate will tell newer members it wasn’t worth it,” Larry J. Sabato of the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics told Newsmax. “President Obama, I would suggest, will also conclude it’s not worth it. And internal battle will cause hard partisan feelings to develop quickly. Obama doesn’t want that.”
Sabato also believes such a political intervention would be unnecessary. Democrats usually could pick up two votes from GOP moderates to end Republican filibusters anyway, he said.
Having fewer than 100 legislators in the Senate for the first few months of his presidency could work to Obama’s advantage. Three-fifths of senators must vote to shut off debate, meaning that only 59 votes would be required if only 99 members were seated.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty could step in and make an interim Senate appointment, however, to ensure proper representation for his state.
The deadline for completion of the Friday. On Dec. 16, the canvassing board will begin ruling on the validity of individual ballots that have been challenged.
The two campaigns have challenged about 5,600 ballots, but thousands of those will be dropped or dismissed as frivolous. Election experts say it is very unlikely that they could change the election’s outcome.
“I think that’s just not going to happen,” Joe Mansky, elections manager for Minnesota’s Ramsey County, recently told the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
If the canvassing board determines that Coleman is the winner, Franken’s team probably would file a lawsuit to force the counting of absentee ballots already rejected as invalid. And the Senate would then represent Franken’s last defense.
Of course, there’s always a chance Democratic leaders will opt to avoid a showdown.
“Who knows, the Democrats may blink,” said Fund, who writes for the Wall Street Journal. “They may decide they don’t want to start this way.”

GoPuma – not to add to people barraging you for information hoping to help… I wonder if there is any way you can rent out rooms ? I don’t know where you are, but I was talking to my 22 year old employee. She rents a 2bed 1 bath house in a NOT great neighborhood – $1,100 . She is posting on Craigs list to rent a room for $500 a month and got 3 interested people. If you said all you need is your computer and a room, you can try to rent out 2 rooms to students or young people.
I “rent” to a friend for $400 downstairs with own entrance – only because we need him to keep an eye on Fred dog and the house when we travel.
Do look at other alternatives but don’t be in denial. Things will nab you when you are not prepared.

The creep of cynicism from the people always allows corruption to prevail. Every assault upon the integrity of the people no matter how many other assaults precede the current one must be felt and heard and rejected by action no matter how often it has occured or cynicism will grow and this always portends the demise of a country.

Dick Morris is wrong.
I gave about $1200 to the Obama campaign, over the course of 16 months, in amounts ranging from $35 to $100 at a time.
But according to Morris – I am a “reprehensible” “large donor/fat cat/special interest” – because I gave over $1000. That is his definition, not mine.
I assure you I am no special interest or fat cat. I wish! But sadly, no.
Morris’ article is highly misleading. In fact, it’s an outright lie. Trying to say that a donor like me is an all-powerful “special interest”. Ridiculous.

Just a thought, but would it be prudent to do a prowl to the various honest media (I’m thinking Hannity and Greta maybe) about what the FECK team uncovered? My sense is that if the government can pretend they never saw it and no one knows and gets upset, nothing is done. The BC issue has been going for how long now, and there are only now glimmers of it breaking through–even though it’s at the SCOTUS in FOUR separate cases.
We don’t just need to tell the FEC, we need to get this info out to the world!
Oh, and if we do decide to package it in some way for others to be able to see, I’ll certainly post it on a few of my Rep sites. Nothing like getting the word out.

NewOrleansPuma 12.01.08 at 11:38 pm
#122No, pehaps not, LavaLamp, you are a result of drinking the Kool Aid of poison and I might add, given your name, of looking toolong into the Lava Lamp…..You are a fool..and you are in the wrong place. Turn on your lamp and keep looking at it. We live in the white hot light of Truth…you fool. You pathetic, fool

it seems to me that every time we start coming together to talk and discuss how much we are getting done and hope to accomplish (including fund raising) one of the bots jump in with a comment to distract us. And I am contributing to this just by making this comment–so My pledge is this…NO replies or commnets on ANY bot remark from now on! they can be ignored easily –and they will be ignored by me. Promise!

LavaLamp has been on before…
KarenWI 12.01.08 at 11:42 pm
goofsmom, did lavalamp post something obot-like before that you remember?
TXRepGirl 12.01.08 at 11:42 pm
YEA! I figured someone was already on it, but just to be on the safe side, I didn’t want to not mention it! And out of curiosity, what can/does the FEC do on contributions “over the limit” etc.? Is this a crime, some kind of I don’t even know what else it would be… Help me out here. Educate me!
And that brings me to another small point. I have learned more about our country since the start of this election than I probably even wanted to know. I’ve traveled back to the 60’s, researched Bobby Kennedy’s assassination, looked into how Hawaii issued birth certificates in 1961. I’ve learned that in 1966 you couldn’t be a dual citizen in Indonesia, that Columbia U has some WEIRD ideas being propagated, and that all selective service record numbers begin with the year they are issued. I’ve learned things about Kenya I never knew, found out that Dems aren’t all bad

Was it just the photos I was looking at, or did everyone else think that Hillary looked “washed out”… extremely pale…?

#119goofsmom: I say how in the post. I posted that here now because Reid’s comment is outrageous. One can never let continual acts of the kind we have rejected from the beginning of our Pac ever become so familiar as to not recognize and name its outrageousness with as much pristine alertness as that first applied at the beginning.
Cynicism is counteracted by the continued stating and acting upon the Truth in the face of ongoing acts against it.
Cynicism is the veiled face of Mediocrity. So..one counters it always by always moving to excellence and the highest excellene is the pursuit and stating of The Truth…
I posted the Reid comments and these cynicism comments to do that here right now and to simply point out one more example of the fight we will continue to have and to counteract now..just as what your group is doing…and others.
\It will get worse. We, the people, will be bombarded with more and varied examples of propaganda on numerous subjects and issues. We counteract cyncicism by being alert to its possibility here and any place else. It is the ultimate hidden downfall of all who seek to protect and put forward the Truth no matter the issue. Stamina, continued recommitment are the vehicles that defeat cyncicism and naming over and over again the propanganda as Reid promotes is the method of protection against it as well..in the people, for the people. and for The Truth.
I posted it as something to remember as we go forward…a kind of silent mantra to hold close so as not to miss how much propaganda will come forward and quickly.

The Obots realize that although they are standing in front of the goal line, they have not crossed it yet. They are afraid we can still do some last minute damages that will spoil their party.
Obots that would still spend this kind of time and energy to come over here now to disrupt us are probably those that are on Obama’s payroll.
mountainsong 12.01.08 at 11:55 pm
It’s taken me nearly 7 hours, today to repair Windows, and do updateds and virus and malware scans on my computer that crashed Saturday night.according to latest info from AVG anti-virus, 1 (if not more) out of every 1000 eb pages is ifected with malicious ‘drive-by’ downloads.
We need some kind of security on PUMA sites and to be extra careful when Obots like Zee, Lava Lamp, Nijma, Newfie and others come around. I’m not terribly fonnd of spending days like today or of the idea of buying a new computer just cuz a few assholes don’t have anything better to do with their lives than dream up new ways to screw up others’ computers. And Obot have some of the most flawed brains on earth. Consider their Messiahwannabe!

“We need some kind of security on PUMA sites and to be extra careful when Obots like Zee..”
mountainsong, I don’t know what your problem is…but maybe you yourself are a troll, or came after Murphy featured me as a LONE protester of Obama when he came to Boston.
But, as for your Windows problems..I only wish I had enough tech ability to affect my own computer let alone others! My son is part of the Mac cult and was after me for years to switch. So, altho I like PC’s better, I finally got a Mac because I did not want to figure out how to deal with the jerks you refer to who infect others’ computers.
Hackers don’t seem to bother with Macs. I bought a used one.
I don’t recognize all the names you slur, except for Nijma, whose posts I remember liking. I also saw someone comforting him/her, but missed where s/he were attacked.
Stop it. I hope Nijma and PUMAbear and other good posters here are not put off by the attacks of some.
