Cute answer regarding the male spaniels, Murphy! Now I’m off to the land of PUMA dreams… night y’all! Tomorrow is time to crack out the shovel for our first snowstorm of the winter! (one of the things I, personally, DETEST about Wisconsin- the snow, ice, and cold). By the way… anybody ever hear from GBPuma anymore?

Did anyone watch this vid I linked earlier?

It’s about time someone started using ridicule against Omposter.

Murphy – I have an idea.. to encourage folks to donate.. if you donate $20 you get to have pictures of your pet shown on the blog..(3″ x 3″ picture) maybe DWP will upload each week if she doesn’t mind. Or it can be more than $20. Or for people with no pets, they can upload their kids pic or their pet peeve. :)

BrianH, yes, I remember when that came out.

I’ve noticed that the spoofs on Obama are still pretty lightweight, usually mocking his cuteness and lovability and messiah crap. blarg.

I’d like to see something a lot rougher, but very smart at same time. Maybe some stage skit on how there is a plot to destroy the USA, and there are evil men in a dark room, taking notes and there are papers everywhere, and what they do is the EXACT run down of every bs thing Obama has done–you know, as the plan. And then someone says, no one will fall for all that!–America is not that stupid, and then the man from the dark corner enters and explains how to fool the idiot masses–in detail–just as how it was done.

You know, I want to see a skit on *exactly* everything we know, and then the obots in the audience can squirm in their seats and scratch their heads…maybe go home and feel like asses.

Ok, I didn’t quite make it to sleep. Went to add Puma Pac to blog roll Potpourri and then started looking at the news…and ended up with a post about Senator Clinton (positive) and the NY Times (not so positive – the braying has begun. Murphy: I think you are a Live Oak….and that is something to behold! Live Oaks are very free even as they are firmly attached…if you would see how their great roots continually push up and aside sidewalks and anything else that seeks to enclose them….ah…one of my favorite and beloved images of New Orleans when I was away was that of the Live Oak roots pushing up sidewalks and curbs…in their way…pushing against and through anything that tried to inhibit it …slowly over time, the roots always win…!~

NOP you probably know that Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of children, sailors, and wolves right?

apropos now that it is December.

There are lots of Live Oaks in Berkeley… magnificent trees. Absolutely astonishing! Live Oak Park in Berkeley is where the Shakespeare in the Park festivals are held. Fantastic site!

21

NewOrleansPuma 12.01.08 at 12:38 am

No…I did not know that St Nicholas was the patron saint of wolves…Love that..Thank you. When we were small my mother whose grandmother did this for them as children, would tell us to put out our shoes on the evening of Dec 5 (vigil of the feast of St Nicholas)and the next day they would be filled with nuts and fruit and candy….Every year we did this …I loved it…of course we also did Christmas Day stuff with Santa Claus, but this old tradition is fun for kids…especially with the story of St Nicholas who was a Bishop who at night would go and leave food etc at the homes of some of his poor parishoners….
Ah…great….reminder of him…

Well my dear Pumas..this ole Puma has to hit the Puma trail and get some zzzzs…I will see you all later on tomorrow as I have a doctor;s appt that will mean traveling and it takes all day….Later you precious ones….I leave you with a Puma PURRRRRRRRRRR and a Wolfian HOWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL…

Sunday, Dec 7 @ 10:00 pm is a special on BET on the violence in South Chicago. I only say, because I think it might be insightful into a part of the mindset BO has emerged from. Flicking channels awhile ago I came up on BET and they had a special called Monster, about a violent gang member from south Central Los Angeles.
Watching them, it’s not to much of a stretch to understand black attitude and it’s influence on ACORN and it’s tactics. This is something that shouldn’t be denied or swept under the rug. It’s part of understanding the whole paradigm.
If most of us see the economy as bleak, just imagine where ‘they’ are coming from.

25

goofsmom 12.01.08 at 12:49 am

mountainsong,

I agree… living here in So. CA, you can’t deny what influence the gangs have in poorer neighborhoods..

Hi, I had comments I wanted to add on stone soup and Thanksgiving, but my computer is giving me fits! Also I’ve had Doctor appts. and will be soon having back surgery again. Anyway, what I had wanted to tell you all is that I learned to cook on a wood stove when I had to stand on a chair to reach it, I have picked more rocks, pitched more hay, and milked more cows and goats than I care to count, I have plucked chickens till my fingers wanted to fall off, shelled enough peas to feed an army, learned to drive a D4 Cat before I learned to drive a truck(grain, couldn’t reach the pedals so it was put in granny low and i steered) used an out house, canned and froze more meat and veggies than can be imagined, and one of my favorite stories is the winter I spent in a large tent along the North fork of the clearwater river, cooked on a wood stove, bread, pies, etc, even cooked a coon my dog treed, but it was the most fun watching the bitty birds that dip under the water in the river, he would run like crazy and by the time he got there they would be gone under water. One time we had to go to town for supplies so left him 2 large cans of food which he promptly ate, thenhe went into yhe tent, ate my brother-in-law’s favorite fishing rod, broken and eaten the eggs and made a general mess, on my brother-in-law’s bed. That winter ended badly, my husbnd of two year and my brother in law argued about climbing a tree to put up a radio antenna and my husband went up at twilight(I was baking a Lemon Meringue pie) when I heard a crash, my stupid irishman of a husband stepped on the wrong limb coming down the tree, fell 93 ft and broke his back. Anyway it was still my favorite winter, living so close to the river, hanging bootie over a log, sweeping with a rake and reading. What I really wanted to ask is anyone here on SSI and have you received a letter about your C.O.L.A? And what is the rate of inflation? If so please let me know. Happy late Thanksgiving to all.
blessings,
valleywitch

Bill Clinton as Senator? Kinda doubt it.

Speaking of Saint Nicholas, what about La Bafana? She’s a good witch the children in Italy celebrate by hanging up their stockings during the Epiphany (Jan 5) in Italy…

Sorry can’t help with SSI but hope you get some information from other folks here. If not, do post again tomorrow when more people get on.

43

freddiebrown 12.01.08 at 1:37 am

SandiPuma – isn’t there anything else you can do to bring in more income on the side? If I remember, you did some ebay? I was thinking about you today and wanted to ask if you were around lately.

44

kat in your hat 12.01.08 at 1:39 am

valleywitch, thank you for the descriptive story! Nice to read about that kind of living…a lot of hard work, but I love all the nature and earthiness of it–and your special winter in the tent. Thank you. Def sorry about these back problems!

My parents hurt their backs while dating.
My mom broke a few of her vertebrae in a bad bus accident in her 20’s–she was taking it to see my father who was in the hospital because *he* hurt his back…playing pool, he backed up…kept going back, fell on one of those massive ceramic potted plants and cut half his back open. Both in the hospital for back injuries at same time.

(Ok, you pumas, I am going to bed. see you tomorrow! :P xo)

45

freddiebrown 12.01.08 at 1:40 am

SandiPuma… Thanksgiving was low key – just the way I like it. Went to a beautiful lake and hour from here in an RV. Played scrabble and watched movies. Just thankful for simple things. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving too.

46

sandipuma 12.01.08 at 1:40 am

This came from an article on Andy Martin’s website. Has anyone else heard this?
Fox News host Greta VanSusteren has chimed in by saying that all four national candidates should make their complete birth records available.

61

SouthernGAL68 12.01.08 at 2:47 am

I could not sleep, so I took the “politial test” ….
Turns out …. I am a DAMN LEFT WING LIBERAL DEMOCRAT … and I thought I was a Republican! Shit … LOL

It said that I was in the “Gandhi” group!

On a serious note, did most of yall’s scores come out in the “Gandhi” section as well? Just curious???

62

freddiebrown 12.01.08 at 3:43 am

Southern Gal – I have not done the test. But I wonder if sometimes we answer what is good and logical – or politically correct in the way we have conditioned ourselves. I feel Republican and don’t want to be pigeon holed into the Gandhi group – I am sure I am not even a mile within his character :)

I get confused by all these “titles” What the hell is a left wing liberal Democrat and how is it different from a right wing conservative Democrat or Republican. In the end, I wonder if it matters if we are clueless to the issues of the candidates at hand.

63

BrianH 12.01.08 at 4:06 am

This blog is exclusively for left wing liberal Republicans and right wing conservative Democrats. All youse others, bug off! x:  :P

64

I got this email that I am not supposed to forward. If anyone wants to get on the conference call, pls email me (fred08puma @ gmail.com) so I can forward to have the coordinator contact you with access code. Obviously they don’t want any Obots calling in :***
*****
You are invited to our next conference call to address post-election goals, issues and actions. This Tuesday’s call will continue to address the extremely important issue of Obama’s eligibility for POTUS. This issue is now spreading like wildfire and has finally begun to appear in the mainstream media (though unsurprisingly not in the best or most truthful light).

This week’s guest speaker will be Andy Martin, author of “Obama: The Man Behind the Mask” and the attorney who has brought the lawsuit in Hawaii demanding release of Obama’s long-form birth certificate. Andy has been researching Barack Obama for over four years, and has appeared on Hannity’s America for his show “Obama & Friends – A History Of Radicalism”. On Tuesday’s call he will discuss the background, outcome and further actions around this lawsuit, and related issues. He will also take questions after his presentation.

If you would like to submit questions for Andy in advance of the call, email them to me and they will be addressed before opening the call for general questions.

Nope, its the Wet Coast here, 3 hours earlier on the clock* than the timestamps you see on the comments, so I’m still up. I’m a night-owl insomniac anyway, which means I’m often still posting when others are just getting back online with the world and the blog.

* Just to be clear, it gets late later here than there, so when its early here it may be late there, and so it’s earlier in the day, even though you go through the same part of the day earlier, which means we don’t get late as early as you, though the time locally is earlier.

Good Morning All,

I an trying ti figure out what the difference is between a liberal republican and a conservative democrat. Arent they the same?

Another interesting read for those on the BC issue…

71

airforcehusker 12.01.08 at 6:52 am

My run in with my message board that i hang out in which i was speaking about the message board and sent people to our board here. Here is the response i got from one of the members trying to defend Oboma.

Learn something about a real world, madfarmer: the director of Hawaii ’s Department of Health can not “officially verify” foreign (for instance Kenyan) or invalid BC “in accordance with state policies and procedures”.

Have you ever heard about the core legal principle that “the necessity of proof lies with he who complains” (Onus Probandi)? The Law doesn’t require from the accused one to prove innocence.

So far officials at the Hawaii Department of Health, the Cook County ( Ill. ) Bureau of Vital Statistics, the Illinois Secretary of State’s office, the Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois and other government agencies have accepted and officially verified Obama’s BC as authentic – since Obama’s birth on.

If there is a conspiracy, it must be a extremely long-term and extensive one – for instance, it should involve also FBI which has vetted him as a senator and GOP which would had to expose valid arguments against Obama’s eligibility during the election run.

So, you all think Hillary selling out her soul is somehow a good thing? “It’s just politics” or “making amends” doesn’t cut it.

When Hillary accepts the SoS position, she will have betrayed all of you. But, most of you will accept it – even revel in it as if it were some great feat. Such beliefs are pathetic and defy reality.

You won nothihg, and now you are being placated with table scraps. How truly sad. You continue to blindly support a person who has turned her back on you.

The PUMAs have been declawed. I feel sorry for you.

74

sue66 12.01.08 at 8:43 am

NewOrleansPuma Interesting that you celebrated St. Nicholas day too. I carried on the tradition with my daughter and now it’s going to carry on with hers. Note: we called it Black Peters Day (lot of Dutch families were I grew up) for the tradition of peter who went with the saint adt left switches for the not so nice to remember the saint.

75

airforcehusker 12.01.08 at 8:51 am

StNicholas was celebrated in our household. Ths small gift received would be a piece or fruit and a very small toy.

76

sue66 12.01.08 at 8:54 am

i don’t even come close to feeling that PUMA has been declawed. There are too many posts on msm sites mentioning us. Not favorably, which is ok, but we are definitely being noticed.

77

TexasTigress 12.01.08 at 8:54 am

Kempion – long time no see . How nice of you to drop back in and share your pearls of wisdom and ,apparently judgement, with us .

I am not sure what Sen. Clinton’s role has to do with us though , as we have not been taking our direction from her for a very long time …
Our goals remain the same regardless of whether sen. Clinton is SOS , Senator ,or stay at home mom , and I can assure you , our claws are as sharp as ever … :)

December 1st today. At the Supreme Court Berg is suppose to maybe receive some answers from Obama. For this we waited about an entire month. Obama’s lawyers will say nothing and we wasted precious time. I am not sure on the details of today. It is not a full trial but I think Obama’s lawyers were to be given some time to come up with some answers. not sure of the questions. I foget now. Anyway, hopefully we will hear something by tonight on what takes place.

Then later on Friday the SC will have a discussion on whether to look into the Donofrio case. I personally like the Donofrio case. The Berg case is also good but the Donofrio case gets right to the critical question immediately without the need for Birth Certificates.

I hope that the SC will have the courage to tackle this Constitutional question directly and not avoid it. This one is just too important. Sometimes the SC will combine cases and hear oral arguments at the same time. In this case that might be reasonable. I would think they would like to hear both Berg and Donofrio before making such an important decision.

However, if I were a SC judge I would simply come down in favor of Donofrio immediately.

In HRC for SOS, I don’t find myself supporting this appointment. I was hoping that she would have remained as US Senator for NY. Yet, I am also not ready to state that she betrayed us. There just isn’t enough information but there may have been a betrayal towards her form the rest of the senate and from those who are in New Yok State. For starters, I can’t help to think that Schumer has done much to damage her as I am aware that they did not seem to get along.

I am going to wait before I feel I have an established opinion in hopes that more information eventually comes about as to why negotiating for SOS was to be a benefit for her and her supporters rather than remaining in the Senate. Just the same, it is a loss for the New York State constituents.

GoPumaGo,
You will see in a previous post on this board i am at a war of words with others on a message board i frequent. It amazes me how angry oboma supporters are about this issue. Look it was okay to question mccain but not their messiah. The whole thing is very troubling and i still cannot believe people will accept anything or everything this guy says becuase it is from oboma. Its a total joke and worse off we could be looking at the largest conspiracy in the history of this country.
I can help but think to he all of this for what? A lier who shouldnt even be in this position to start with.

airforce – I think I read that you mentioned on a previous post that the FBI vetts or does background checks on candidates and that is incorrect .
A long time ago , when some of us were working on the voter fraud issue we contacted the FBI and were told that there is no background check required for people running for office . I had always assumed it was automatic , but it is not .. Scary , huh ?

No that must of been someone else. I currently work a job in which i must complete a background check every 5 years. I can assure you this much about the clearances, 1) You must be able to account for every waking day of your life during the screening, In other words you will show every area you lived and where you came from and be able to provide names and numbers of people who knew you. This is from birth until present. Also any questionable activities, alias, as well as people questionable to government must be identified. I can assure you with him even with this spead up it would take years to get a clearance. On an average with all paperwork, names, number etc completed it takes about 1 to 1 1/2 years to get a clearance completed. Hope that helps answe questions
