I honestly think anyone who joins and tell us that they voted for “that one” but admit that it was a mistake and they wish they hadn’t and now admit we were right about him will be welcomed in here. Ok, so bottom line: Blacks are more likely to attend church than whites, and more black women are likely to attend church than black men.

Polls say black women voted to ban gay marriage at higher rate than black men. (maybe women are more likely to take polls, but besides the point.)

SO, even though blacks vote democrat in high percentages, they are more likely to be morally conservative–the church thing.

Generally blacks are against homosexuality (via church, etc), and so more black men stay in closet, which causes shame and reckless behavior, which is why more black women get HIV–because of the secrets. (and because they are not using protection, besides the point.)

AND: being unmarried and divorced is a sensitive subject for black women, so they would likely not be as in favor of voting for men to marry men.

Author: consider it a health issue, and the homophobia to be a cultural issue as well–and also ignorance and fear.

Education and openess will help *all*…from the black gay men, to black women’s health, to gay folks getting married.

Mine shows Stalin and Gandhi on the left of the vertical line… with Stalin in the upper part of the upper left square, and Gandhi in the middle of the lower left square; Hitle and Thatcher in the upper right square with Thatcher in the middle of the square and Hitler near the top (I was in line with Hitler, but while Hitler was near the top of the square, I was near the bottom of the square, almost on top of the horizontal dividing line); and Friedman alone in the lower right square, near the top right of it.

One of the things that is great about the Pumasphere is that, like all good educational settings, it breaks down the lines between teachers and students. Ummm… where on that chart is “conservative”??? I see only Authoritarian and Libertarian on either end of the vertical line, and communism and neo-liberalism on extreme ends of the horizontal line. Like I say…. my dot was just above the center of the libertarian/authoritarian verital line (slightly more toward authoritarian than libertarian) and just slightly more off the center towards the neo-liberalism side of the neo-liberalsim/communism horizontal line. I’m not on this site much because I have gone back to my usual haunts. I’m picking on the Bamas, IMDB where Obama backers overwhelmed the few conservatives and Nobamas, and on the sites that think they have claimed a victory. We need to set up and move on but I still think that it doen’t hurt to throw back and allow the Bamas to re-evaluate their choice. See their error and challenge them.

But we should be charting our own course and not just fight back here and there. I’ll be back in force but I have a few grenades to launch first to those who thought that Obama would just hand stamp their program.
