From November 3rd, via Riverdaughter, via Violet Sox (and btw Krugs — you’re wrong. November 4, 2008 is a day that will live in INFAMY.)

Hillary Clinton is a bitch. A big ol’ bitchy bitch. And a cunt.A “big fucking whore.” Fortunately, you can “call a woman anything.” She’s “Nurse Ratched.” She’ll castrate you if she gets a chance. She would like that. She’s a “She-Devil.” She’s a madam, and her daughter’s a whore. She’s frigid, and she can’t give head. She’s a “She-Devil.” A lesbian. A nag. When things get tough, she cries like a big dumb GIRL. In fact, she’s just that — a “little girl.” In FACT, she wants to “cry her way to the White House.” To be, ahem, “Crybaby-in-Chief.” That proves that she’s not tough enough. But she’s also not feminine enough. She’s “screechy.” She’s an “aging, resentful female.” She’s “Sister Frigidaire.” She really ought to quit running for President and stick to housework. She basically spent her entire times as First Lady going to tea parties. She’s a monster whojust won’t die. In fact, she really should just die. You can buy aurinal target with her face on it to express what you really think of her. OMG she’s got claws! She’s crazy. In fact, she’s a lunatic. She’s petty and vindictiveand entitled. She’s a washed-up old hag. She’s “everybody’s first wifestanding outside probate court.” She’s a “scolding mother.” She’s shrill… shrill… shrill. She can’t take it when people are mean to her. She’s a “hellish housewife.” She’sTanya Harding. She CAN’T be President, what with the mood swings and the menses.Any woman who votes for her is voting with her vagina, not her brain. Women only like Hillary because she’s a fellow Vagina-American. And because they vote with their feelings. Frankly, anyone who still thinks we need “feminine role models” should get over it and move on, already. Oh, and men who supporters are castratos in the eunuch chorus. You shouldn’t make her President because she wants it too much. She’s totally just banking on support from ugly old feminists. And she looooves to “play the victim.” She cackles! And cackles. And cackles. It’s like she’s a witch or something! She’s definitely“witchy.” And now you can buy her cackle as your ring tone. Her voice, too, is “grating”—like “fingernails on a blackboard” to “some men.” She’s hiding behind her gender. She isn’t a “convincing mom” because she’s too strident. She never did anything on her own. Her husband keeps her on a leash. She hates men. Her campaign is a “catfight.” She makes people want to kill themselves, is like a “domineering mother,” and is cold. And OMG she has boobies! All of which are reasons to hateher. (And boy, could I go on.)

Oh, and if you even mention any of this, you’re either silly or a bad person.

And she has cankles. (h/t mangoprincess)

I do think that karenWI. i HATE to be discouraging and i may be WRONG for all I know, but i do firmly believe and know in my heart that the Supreme Court is NOT going to overturn the results of November 4th.

Murphy, I have to agree with you, nothing short of a mircle will remove him now, but you’re right, we can inform people, take count of the injustices and irregularities and report on it, win small victories and even some big ones with women’s issues, voter fraud, currupt donations, and then in 4 years we are ahead of the game.

btw, thank you for saying your thoughts on this so clearly, because 1. I agree with you and most importantly 2. we need to face the reality of everything and while hope is nice, it’s not going to change what happened on November 4th.

Caught again at the bottom of the stairs (I’m a slow reader, but today, just catching up….Here’s my repost….

gordana 11.29.08 at 7:01 pm

Thanksgiving this year at my home was bittersweet. On the happy side, I had my daughter and her four children, along with my son and a young couple…friends of my daughter…at my table. This was the first time my daughter was able to do this family tradition without her husband who passed away in January of 2007. The children range in age from four to eight, so there was no politics. The hardest part was saying grace…not in what we said…but what we left out…trying to keep it happy for the children…while missing him. Even now, the tear don’t stop.

Dinner consisted of all the family favorites…even though the brussel sprouts were enjoyed by only two of us. I was a lucky (???) Nanny to have the three younger ones sleep over last night. Now, I know I have to be a glutton for punishment, but I miss them so and am trying to make up the time (for them) for when I
won’t be here.

At breakfast, the TV was on and when THAT ONE came on (turned TV off), I must have made a negative face. My Jake said: “Don’t worry, Nanny, I voted for McCain” (he’s 5) and then the six-year old chimed in and said: “Me, too! I voted for McCain”. That made my day!!

Happy Thanksgiving and Blessings, Everyone,

greta

Murphy, I agree with you about the supremes and the b.c.- HOWEVER, even though I think it may not pan out, I really think something to the Electoral College might be interesting. Even if unsuccessful, it would be nice to “stir the pot” with them enough to get them thinking hard…. and MAYBE get them off their duffs…

PaDem, good idea, but, as of right now, I feel more comfortable having active participants on the blog volunteer. The work involved in auditing zero’s campaign contributions in all 50 states, is absolutely breathtaking! I’d hate to risk having it sabbotaged in anyway. The volunteers, “The Complainers”, (our term of endearment for them) are all trusted and responsible Pumas, and I just wouldnt feel comfortable relying on Pumas with whom I am unfamiliar.

Right now we have 14 volunteers, and some of the smaller states have been bundled as one complaint reporting document.

You have email, btw. ;)

I follow the BC issue, but I am not a BC activist. I don’t believe I could live with myself if I believed the issue was worth the effort and didn’t do anything about it. I admire those with an activitist passion for the issue, I’m just not there. Other issues motivate and propel me to action. I wish the NBC Team, and others, the best of luck though.

Murphy …

I just sat down at the computer and was reading some of the post from downstairs. I read your post where you stated that you do not see anything changing and/or being overturned in reference to Obama’s Birth cert. (Natural Born Citizen) issue.

I will say this …. most likely (if I were a “betting” woman), I would say you are “right” and I would put my money on you (especially if things continue the way they have historically for Obama)! (i.e.) He “slides through the cracks” by cheating and lying and no one does a damn thing about it!

NOTE: I can only speak for myself and not the others on the team. But, here is the way I see it … As I said above, chances are nothing will change, but on the flip side … WHAT IF IT DID?? (And … That is why I must try!) What if a group of pumas could instill just enough fear and/or “plant a seed” within just one elector (person) one state, one judge (whoever) to get them to investigate or get involved in this issue and get to the bottom of it?? That is all I am realistically trying to accomplish. I feel as though we have one shot at this before the Dec. 15 to “give it hell”! I am afraid that once he’s in office, there will be no “turning back”! Also, I feel like this “Natural born Citizen” issue is the best shot we have at removing him. It is written in the consitution that the President MUST be a Natural born citizen … there is no disputting it. It is a black and white issue! (Either you are pregnant or you are not!) That sort of thing!
And finally, if all else fails at least we can say we gave it all we had! We tried! We will let “the powers to be” know we are here, we are watching and we want the truth!

NBC, goofsmom;
Here’s a link to a comment/article quote showing the O-camp’s drive to get the NBC clause repealed: http://www.democratic-disaster.com/index.php?topic=1094.msg4085#msg4085 .

Excerpt talking point:

The natural born citizen clause of the United States Constitution should be repealed for numerous reasons. Limiting presidential eligibility to natural born citizens discriminates against naturalized citizens, is out-dated and undemocratic, and incorrectly assumes that birthplace is a proxy for loyalty.

The increased globalization of the world continues to make each of these reasons more persuasive. As the world becomes smaller and cultures become more similar through globalization, the natural born citizen clause has increasingly become out of place in the American legal system.

Et cetera.

36

SouthernGAL68 11.29.08 at 8:00 pm

BrainH … See, that is exactly what worries me! If he can get into office first, he will change the constitution so that when it does finally come out that he is NOT a natural born cit. … his ass is covered! I say … NO WAY! NO WAY CAN WE (AMERICANS) ALLOW BO TO TEAR OUR CONSTITUTION APART TO SUIT HIM! Where would it end????

prowland #111 yes I heard it and I know he was speaking English. It sounded to me like he just wasn’t with it and Mike didn’t get specific as to where the marker was. Someone needs to call and find out exactly where this marker is going to be, the house where he was born, the hospital, his grandma’s, where. Nothing was said about where and I’m skeptical.//
=========
That misses the point. It doesn’t matter squat if there’s to be a marker or not (“That’s up to the government.”) The whole point of the question was to get in the SPECIFIC reference to President-Elect Obama, to clarify that they were talking about the same person, and that that person had indeed been born in Kenya.

Which makes absolute hash of the subsequent back-down by the Kenyan Foreign Office and Ambassador claiming he was talking about Obama Sr. Indeed, there was reference to Sr., as Barack’s father and why he was famous there, etc., earlier in the interview, and then the conversation switched back specifically to Jr. and stayed there.

jenniforhillary 11.29.08 at 8:08 pm Sooner or later it’s going to have to come down to all that. Nothing else is going to change anything.
When I was getting beat up all the time growing up, I would protest, tell on them, ask and beg them to stop. Nothing changed until one day I stood up to a ringleader and, in a very calm voice, told him that if he or any of his friends ever laid a hand on me again I would shoot him first.
He just laughed at me, until I pulled the gun out and pointed it at his head. They never bothered me again.

TrishfromCanada: Thanks for the tea tree oil advice. As it happens, I do have some, and I have tea tree oil shampoo/conditioner. The hard part is getting those impertinent nits from her silky fine hair. She has light brown hair, with red and blond highlights throughout, and I’m going cross-eyed trying to see those damn nits. I know they’re mocking me and my nit comb, as they cling tenaciously to every hair shaft and thrust their tiny little nit middle fingers up at me. If this keeps up, my girl is getting a severely shortened haircut. I’m too exhausted to continue this fight much longer.

Not enough people are listening. And I REALLY don’t believe the courts will rule against him. I believe there are international players and that BO is just their puppet. That’s why he’s so cocky and arrogant. That’s why, in the face of all our protests over him not releasing any documents from colleges, or his BC, and making the Whitey tape disappear, he just keeps running over us like a tank in Tianemen Square.

#139 LuckySeven I called Orly a couple of weeks ago as she had out this huge alert that they wanted the Keyes/Obama debate tapes where Keyes tells Obama he isn’t a citizen and Obama supposedly answers, it doesn’t matter because I’m only running for the senate. Well I looked up and found all the debates between the two of them and sent them to Orly. When I called her and if you know me, I have to have “just the facts, mam” — I asked did Alan Keyes remember during any of the debates that he said that to Obama and Obama’s answer. She tells me NO!! End of story. I can’t deal with this, for god’s sake, it’s her client and he tells her no and she’s looking for the tape! PULEEZE!//
===========
If he doesn’t remember, it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. The question might better have been, “Did you …”. If he’s uncertain, then it might have been something he didn’t mentally “flag” and store.

How precise is your recall for conversations, even important ones, that took place 4 years ago? I know that mine sucks.

Besides which, there are those who recall the tape. I, myself, recall seeing links to it, and may even have watched all or some of it. My impression is that most of it was stuff I already knew, and that the presentation was kind of loud and amateurish, and I may have cut it off. (And yes, I’ve searched all the Temp files etc. on my drives for anything that might be the video, but no luck. Such files are created by viewer programs as they “buffer”, but since that time I’ve added and deleted and de-fragged several times, so it’s almost for sure that any such file content was long ago over-written.)

Wow, wow, wow! Just came back from reading the last post in which Murphy took on the Ravager, now I understand totally the thread “Worth Repeating”
You are an excellent debater Murphy and did a wonderful job defending your stance.

karenWI and southernGAL and others: I truly and deeply believe that losing battles are worth fighting. You are 100% right. Sometimes the best we can do is simply raise a ruckus about something, and sometimes that is all that is necessary.

We didnt defeat the forces of obama on november 4th, but look what we DID do– we united here and at other Puma sites, and that’s nothing to sneeze at.

So, i’ll never try to discourage Pumas from going after the BC issue. I feel obligated to give my honest opinion of the likely outcome, but I DO think there is value, for those who are motivated, to researching, blogging, and sending letters.

There is a new forum up for the NB Action Team and all who want to help with the effort.

Maybe this will influence the Birth Certificate Team, what do you think Captain G?

It Couldn’t Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn’t be done,
But, he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

Somebody scoffed: “Oh, you’ll never do that;
At least no one has done it”;
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he’d begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it.

There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle it in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That “couldn’t be done,” and you’ll do it.

On the issue of Islam and its men from downstairs, I used to live with a Muslim from Saudi Arabia, oh so many years ago, when I was young and dumb, and I met many, many Muslim men from several different countries, as they were all foreign exchange students. Most of them despised American women, yet saw no hypocrisy in living with them and having sex with them. Each and every one of them had an American girlfriend. Each and every one of them, supposedly devout Muslims by their own avowals, were hard drinkers, pot users, enthusiastic users of pornography, and occasionally, pork eaters. Omar, the man I was seeing, was a short little good-natured man, getting his doctorate to study black flies, once very seriously asked me to PLEASE let me dominate me. Of course, I had to disappoint him with a hysterical giggling fit and a “no, not a chance in hell.” He seemed saddened by that response, but he let it go. He once came back from a trip home and bragged to me that I had influenced him to such a degree, that he had actually allowed his sister to meet, for a few minutes, the man that his family had chosen to marry her off to. When I expressed my horror at his sister’s plight, he was honestly puzzled and offended that I didn’t see how generous he had been to let her meet him at all before she was forced into the marriage. He begged me many times to become a Muslim. Since I adhere to no religion, patriarchal, pagan, or otherwise, I of course flatly refused each time.
Anyway, as you can probably tell, we didn’t last. His culture, which considered the enslavement of women as the natural and just order of life, was too ingrained within him. And my basic refusal to voluntarily enslave myself, a free human being who expected to be treated at all times as fully human, and which frustrated and baffled him to no end, was too much a part of me.
Okay, enough babbling on about my seedy past. I’m exhausted and I still have laundry calling my name softly from the side room.

Mountainsong,

What is sad is this … I wish I could say to you, NO Mountainsong you are wrong about it all! But, I am afraid you are right. I am also afraid that this “Obama thing” in general, is bigger than we can imagine! I am blown away by what all he has been able to do and get away with. Like you said in your post above, he has been able to hide college transcripts, etc… What can we Americans do? Do we just continue to try to inform more Americans about him until we have enough to revolt? What?

The Starfish Story
adapted from The Star Thrower
by Loren Eiseley (1907 – 1977)

Once upon a time, there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work.

One day, as he was walking along the shore, he looked down the beach and saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself at the thought of someone who would dance to the day, and so, he walked faster to catch up.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young man, and that what he was doing was not dancing at all. The young man was reaching down to the shore, picking up small objects, and throwing them into the ocean.

He came closer still and called out “Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?”

The young man paused, looked up, and replied “Throwing starfish into the ocean.”

“I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?” asked the somewhat startled wise man.

To this, the young man replied, “The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them in, they’ll die.”

Upon hearing this, the wise man commented, “But, young man, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile? You can’t possibly make a difference!”

At this, the young man bent down, picked up yet another starfish, and threw it into the ocean. As it met the water, he said, “It made a difference for that one.”

I’ve been reading that fanatical emotion of yours again. If instead of a

revealing about you, but scary.

Who are you now, Daraugh Murphy? I used to think you were bright, an
exceptional leader and an inspiration to others like me. I don’t know anymore. I
only know this much for sure…you support gay marriage and hate its haters and
any religion but Muslim. You have displayed prejudice and intolerance…
maybe some ignorance too. Ravage did come across as very cool and educated like

BTW–there was mention of an excellent book on misogyny on the last thread. May I suggest Rabbi Shmuley Boteach’s “Hating Women: America’s Hostile Campaign Against the Fairer Sex”? Rabbi Shmuley hosts the “Shalom in the Home” show on A&E channel, and is the father of 5 daughters. He also released a book called “The Broken American Male and How to Fix Him” in January of this year, though I have not read that one yet.
Though I didn’t agree with everything in “Hating Women”, Rabbi Shmuley makes excellent points in his book regarding how girls and their mothers are getting suckered by the media.

It is time for Americans who want to preserve the Constitution and put an end to this Obama show to take strong action! We need to start our own grassroot movement and come up with our own 50 states strategy! We need to PEACEFULLY protest, file multiple lawsuits, hold demonstrations, plan marches around the country and one massive march to the US Supreme Court. There is strength in numbers and if Americans all over this country come out and PEACEFULLY but assertively protest, the MSM will HAVE no choice but to cover the story. Actually, our movement will get international attention! Isn’t America worth fighting for?
This movement isn’t going to be easy but it will be worth it! Remember the peaceful protest and the resillience and determination of those involved in the Civil Rights movement FORCED the media to get involved and FORCED the judicial system and officials to act! We can do the same thing!

Murphy and all my PUMA’s… I feel very strongly that “That One” is here for a purpose, and that purpose is the end of the world. I am thinking more and more that his being leader of America is it’s destruction, and the coming of the Lord. I still say, as I’ve said for some time now, that we need to be watching Israel. I would be very very surprised if we don’t find them bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities anytime between now and June. That will trigger WWWIII- nuclear- with Obama dragging us to the side with the Muslim countries against Israel. …and that will be the beginning of the end. HOWEVER, in SPITE of my very strong feelings this way, I will do whatever I can to try to take him off his perch before it’s too late. It may be a losing cause… I feel that it is, and that this is what was foretold in the Bible prophecies, but I’m not going to go down without a fight…

85

KarenWI 11.29.08 at 9:31 pm

Murphy, what I’m going to say here is pretty deep and I’m just touching on the highlights (LOL)…. I’m just trying to answer your question the best I can… The Bible foretells the end of the world… Armagheddon (sp?) will happen when the whole world goes to war against Israel. Israel will flee to the mountains…. and a remnant will cry out to God and that will trigger the 2nd coming of Christ and the end of the world as we know it. The saved to eternity with God in “the New Jerusalem” in Heaven and the unsaved to damnation in Hell. It predicts that there will be 7 years of ruling by the “antichrist”… and that during this time there will economic crash that will cause a worldwide money system set up where people will get their ID’s imprinted on either their right hand or forehead… that ID will hold their financial and health information (I can see it now- similar to what the pets have put in them to find them when they’re lost… and the excuse will be that nobody can steal your identity or money anymore because you will carry it all in your body). That’s all predicted for the end of the world. It predicts that the “antichrist” will be one who the whole world goes after and will be the most charismatic man in world history. Now God’s plan isn’t “foretold” in that God is laying it all out and causing it to happen that way. God, unlike us, isn’t bound by time and space- He knows the future, and when the prophecies foretell it, it’s because he sees it happen in our future, not because He causes it to happen. The prophets foretold His birth in such detail that the odds of all of those prophecies coming true the way they did are like a zillion to one… they foretold the fall of Israel to Rome… they foretold the return of the Jews to Israel…. they foretold Jesus’ ride into Jerusalem on “palm sunday” TO THE DAY. The only reason they could is because God, who knows the future because He SEES the future, told them to say it….

Hi I’m back..

TerryDo – love the poem

Texas Tigress – love the story

My few cents… Never give up and never give in… The issues with the NB Citizenship is a basic tenant of our constitution. The actions against “O” will continue even if (God forbid) he is sworn in…

Casy123 – we are a grassroots movement and we are doing something… Care to join the team?

A little history on me – my family came to the US in the 1600′s, My multiple great grandfather had a sloop named The Resolution that brought our family here. In the tradition of my French Hugonot forefathers, I am resolute to do what I can to combat Ofraudula in anyway I can. We are and always have been a stubborn bunch and won’t take no for an answer!

87

KarenWI 11.29.08 at 9:36 pm

All my life I wondered how that prophecy could possibly come true… when the whole world would go to war against Israel. We’ve ALWAYS supported Israel, and it was hard to imagine anything else. However, if Israel bombs the Iran nuclear sites (as I expect they will because they will know that for the FIRST TIME they won’t have a U.S. president on their side and they will be all alone against Iran), then Iran and all the Islamic countries in the U.N. will declare war on Israel. Where do you think Obama will go when that happens? Do you think he’s going to go against them and stand alone with Israel? I don’t. Remember how his friends are all anti-Israel and ProIslam…… the book of Ezekiel predicted the World War against Israel in the only way they knew to express things they couldn’t understand… and it was describing a nuclear war. For example, when it talks about how the dead couldn’t be touched, but had to be handled by special people trained to take care of them; and how the “weapons” that weren’t used were used as fuel for 7 years. That’s nuclear…

Karen WI The one thing you forgot to mention that if and when this all comes to past, whether or not you believe it will or will not, is that there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it.

In the mean time we go about our lives to the best of our abilities and then we adapt if it comes each according to their destiny.

Interestingly enough I found this quote by Alinsky when I was doing some research and it will serve us well!

“Once you accept your own death, all of a sudden you’re free to live. You no longer care about your reputation. You no longer care except so far as your life can be used tactically to promote a cause you believe in.”

We just have to find a cause we trully believe in.. :)

Soak her scalp and hair in (pure, USP or 100% Vegetable) glycerin. Leave on for a few minutes, and rinse out.

It is INTENSELY hygroscopic, and will dehydrate any lice, nits, or eggs and kill them. It will rinse quickly and easily because it ‘follows the water’. Totally non-toxic, but keep out of eyes, as it will sting or burn by pulling water off the cornea!

Obama team repackaging Clinton after campaign digs
Nov 29, 8:28 AM (ET)

By NANCY BENAC
WASHINGTON (AP) – It wasn’t too long ago that Barack Obama and his advisers were tripping over one another to tear down Hillary Rodham Clinton’s foreign policy credentials. She was dismissed as a commander in chief wanna-be who did little more than sip tea and make small talk with foreign leaders during her days as first lady.

“What exactly is this foreign policy experience?” Obama said mockingly of the New York senator. “Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no.”

That was in March, when Clinton was Obama’s sole remaining rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Now, Clinton is on track to become Obama’s secretary of state.

And, unsurprisingly, the sniping at her foreign policy credentials is a thing of the past.

Obama adviser William Daley over the weekend said Clinton would be “a tremendous addition to this administration. Tremendous.”

Senior adviser David Axelrod called Clinton a “demonstrably able, tough, brilliant person.”

Last spring, though, Clinton was targeted with a steady stream of criticism via conference call, e-mail and campaign-trail digs from the Obama camp, all aimed at shredding her self-portrait as an experienced and confident leader on the international stage. Some of those doing the sniping will be taking up key positions – most likely along with Clinton – in the new Obama administration.

Greg Craig, selected to serve as White House counsel in the Obama administration, delivered a withering attack during the primaries on Clinton’s claims that she could rightfully share in the credit for some of the foreign policy successes of her husband’s presidency.

“She did not sit in on any National Security Council meetings when she was first lady,” Craig insisted in one conference call. He went on to knock down Clinton’s claims to influence in the Northern Ireland peace process, opening borders for refugees during the war in Kosovo, and making a dangerous visit to Bosnia.

“There is no reason to believe … that she was a key player in foreign policy at any time during the Clinton administration,” Craig wrote in a campaign memo.

Susan Rice, an Obama adviser who could land a spot in the new administration, mocked the idea that Clinton could lay claim to foreign policy credentials by marriage.

“There is no crisis to be dealt with or managed when you are first lady,” Rice sniffed last March. “You don’t get that kind of experience by being married to a commander in chief.”

Clinton was only too happy to make light of Obama’s own foreign policy credentials, suggesting his biggest selling point was a 2002 speech against going to war with Iraq. “Many people gave speeches against the war then,” she said in a February debate.

Robert Gelbard, an adviser to the Obama campaign on foreign policy who worked in the Clinton administration, said in March that Clinton had more involvement in foreign policy than a lot of first ladies, but added that “her role was limited and I’ve been surprised at the claims that she had a much greater role.”

Well, never mind about all of that now.

“That was then; this is now,” said David Gergen, who has served as an adviser to both Republican and Democratic presidents. “Campaigns are ever thus.”

“Generally speaking,” Gergen said, “there is a recognition that campaigns bring a certain amount of hyperbole, and when it’s over you try to find the most talented people you can find to work with you.”

Clinton may not have been at the table when her husband made the big decisions, Gergen said, but “she’s been imbibing questions on foreign policy and decision-making since 1992.”

A spokesperson for the Obama transition team declined to comment on the shift in tone.

It also should be said that some of the wounds to Clinton’s foreign policy credentials during the primaries were self-inflicted, most famously her inflated account of the drama associated with a visit she made to Bosnia.

“I remember landing under sniper fire,” she recounted in a speech. “There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

Soon enough, video footage surfaced of Clinton’s unremarkable airport arrival ceremony, where she was welcomed by dignitaries and posed for photos with children.

Clinton brought up the Bosnia trip to counter Obama’s suggestion that her experiences as first lady amounted to having tea at an ambassador’s house.

“I don’t remember anyone offering me tea,” she said of the Bosnia visit.

Clinton, in an April debate, blamed her Bosnia gaffe on campaign fatigue. But she did not back away from her claim to broad foreign policy experience as first lady.

“I was not as accurate as I have been in the past,” she said. “But I know, too, that being able to rely on my experience of having gone to Bosnia, gone to more than 80 countries, having represented the United States in so many different settings, gives me a tremendous advantage going into this campaign.”

Well, maybe not in the campaign, as it turned out.

But maybe, just perhaps, as secretary of state.

Brian, Thanks for the link on Obama’s medical “problem.” I bookmarked it. The MSM is unbelievable in their coverup of this man.

As for the glycerin, I have dry skin and have only washed my face with pure glycerin for over 30 years. My daughter and I recently started making our own soaps with glycerin and aloe. The soaps are really great. Also, last night I went to the candlelight Christmas cermony in a nearby town and a vendor gave me a soy candle. She lit it and as the wax melted, she dipped her finger in it and rubbed it on the back of my hand. It was better than hand lotion. She said it’s great for hands and feet. I learn something new every day.

I just was on RCP and read an article that said the Indian Gov’t received info on November 19th that an attack was being planned, but evidently dismissed it. The Prime Minister of India received a call from President-Elect Obama with his condolences. No mention of Bush. Obama sure moves fast, he taking over already. Here’s the link:

Goofsmom.
Where did your family live when they first came over. Were they in Harlam? I don’t recall a Casteel; do you know the original?
Our main family name Casier was often mutilated almost beyond recognition especially when they attended the Dutch Reformed Church. Originally the name was pronounced Ca si A.

I too, don’t have a lot of confidence that the BC issue will overturn this historic election – farce tho we believe it to be.

However, we can look for the “positive” in this lawsuite. While it may not have the ultimate result that we all want – that this bastard is not taken off the White House… I think to continue with it and to have proven that there is a semblance of truth that he was born in Kenya.. perhaps people in power will treat him differently. They may not kow tow to him knowing that by the grace of fraud, was he able to be where he is. A lot of times, power is gotten by people giving it to you. Perhaps the people in power will recognise that he flouted the constitution and not give him the same due as another other president.

It seems that Google is shutting down sites and sandboxing some:

“During the campaign, many anti-Obama blogs running on Blogger software were shut down by Google, which owns the software. That may have been due to Obamabots’ falsely (imagine that) complaining to Google that the sites were spammers, in which case the company’s policy of shutting down the sites pending an investigation kicked in and the bloggers were out of business. The moonbats succeeded in shutting down Republican blogs and Pro-Hillary blogs.”

Here’s the link:

It’s worth a read.

Murphy –
When you post a new thread, would it be possible to note clearly the source or the writer ? It would clarify a lot of questions if we knew you or someone else wrote it. Some of it is so controversial and damaging, it would not be right to assume that one of us wrote it. Similarly, if one of us extracted it or quoted it from another source, it would be “good” to know where it came from or at least where you found it. We want to credit you for writing good stuff but at the same time, do not want to credit you for horrible disturbing stuff if you did not write it.

Goofsmom,
Our Caziers moved from Harlem to Staten Island and from there to MD/DE when both states were part of PA.
When the Caziers went to MD, my ancester married a VanBibber, who were landowners who first settled near Germantown, PA. In fact there is a place near Philly which is called VanBibber Township. Later my VanBibber (Matthias) and his parents and two brothers moved to Cecil Co. MD.
Matthias’s daughter, Rebecca, married John Cazier (b. Staten Is.1713) They were my 4th g-grandparents.
The Casiers did a lot of moving trying to get away from religious persecution and went to whatever country had a protestant ruler. They were in Martinique shortly before having to move to Holland and then to America (about 1660).

It’s probably difficult to give by-lines for each blue word.

Want more? It’s a contact anti-bacterial because it dehydrates them on contact. This can be exploited to get rid of mouth bacteria and bad breath. Sip, swish making sure it gets the back of the tongue where the sulphur bacteria live, and swallow. INSTANT sweet breath. And it takes out all the dental bacteria too; mouth swishing is an EXCELLENT gum treatment (wish I’d known that 25+ years ago …).

FDA approved food additive (GRS, Generally Regarded as Safe) requiring no special approvals. Raisins are soaked in it to keep them moist and soft. 60% sweetness rating, you can use as a sweetner in cooking or on food.

Here I am off topic again but just got back from seeing Twilight with a bunch of teen girls. WOW what a great way to spend a moody afternoon. Beautiful scenery and enough of a plot. Some of you guys need a day off for something fun. Not that I don’t appreciate all you do but you know what they say about all work and no play. Twilight presents a highly romantic view of men, yes it may be fantasy but it is a nice antidote to MSNBC and the east coast talking heads. I don’t know when I have seen so much swooning, me included!

Brian H – Back to Obama’s medical problems. Could that be the reason that his answers wander and meander when not using a teleprompter. Maybe can’t put thoughts together. I had thought he was just clueless, but maybe it’s more than that. Even during the debates, he was so rehearsed he looked like a “talking points wind-up doll.”

There was something like that in MASH:

The doctors are taking a break. The older one says, “Rule number one of war is, young men die. Rule number two is, doctors can’t change rule number one.”

Hawkeye: “I know one doctor who can keep one young man from dying in one war.” [ goes back to work ]

Re: Head lice!
I feel for you. My daughter got head lice in the second grade and it seemed as if NOTHING worked. The head lice have become incredibly resistant to Rid, Nix, and all the other chemicals, and I just hate that I poured that stuff, which is actually insecticide, on her head off and on for nearly two years. That is right. TWO years. I can’t count how many times I went through the whole washing, scrubbing, bagging up things in airtight plastic. I, and the rest of the mothers suffering through this, turned into absolute obsessives. It was a horrible time!!
Anyway, the answer was mineral oil. Two treatments a week apart finally did the trick. The awful part of that is getting the stuff washed out, but it works.

We need a way to call out this language, whenever and wherever we see it or hear it. We need a way to make it socially unacceptable.

I believe we start with acts of individual bravery: when you hear somebody say Senator Clinton is shrill, tell the speaker that she or he sounds shrill. Or just say: Could you stop braying at me please?

Oh wait this gives me an idea of for post ….

Thank you for this extremely complete historical record of the past election cycle. I also don’t know what is in store for us regarding the Obama birth certificate issue but I do believe there is something to it since Obama’s people are spending so much money and effort to squash the issue. But if you think about it, the Republicans have wanted to create a way for Arnold (governor of California) to run for the Presidency and haven’t been successful. He would be a good candidate for them and I imagine there will be a stink if Obama is not “Natural Born” technically but takes office anyway.

In fact, the DOWNLOADABLE Hillary “ringtone” “Shame on you, Barack Obama!” will give me joy for years to come! Highly recommended as a preloaded file if you’re giving anyone an mp3 player or phone for xmas!

Will listen to it while I watch Hillary get crowned SOS, every time Hillary gets slighted and every time Obama acts like a little boy…
