Forced Hysterectomies for Bitches and Ditzes.

by murphy on November 17, 2008

in Action, Puma PAC, Sexist Onslaught, Swamp Misogyny, holy smokes, teh BOIZ

The Sexist Onslaught is doing nothing but building a bigger head of steam since the election of the Six Hundred Million Dollar Man. Read this, this, and this to see the tidal wave from Swamp Misogyny grow.

Two egregious examples of sexist bias and misogyny were published today. I should say at least two, as I’m sure there were MANY more published that have not (yet?)come across my Mac. One is from the reputable and widely read New York Magazine, the other from a more local source, the Philadelphia Weekly.

In the NY Magazine article, Amanda Fortini seems to be unaware of her own participation in making stereotypes permanent in her article, “The Bitch and the Ditz.” (Hey, I have an idea! Why doesn’t New York Magazine publish an article about recent black candidates and title it “The Uncle Tom and the Pimp,” or “The Welfare Queen and the Baby Mama,” or geez I don’t know, how about “The Token Black Man and the Affirmative Action Candidate.”) While I assume that Fortini is not responsible for the obnoxious title, it couldn’t have been too difficult for the headline writers to reach such a height of clever insight if they read the article. Actually, maybe the editors decided on the title before hand and merely handed Fortini the assignment of filling up some column inches to occupy the space under the headline and photos of Hillary and Palin.

This was particularly galling:

“because so few women are present at the highest levels of government, they carry the burden of representing their gender more so than men. In politics as in business, an unqualified woman does more damage than no women at all. She serves to fortify the stereotypes that the next woman will have to surmount.

In the end, women can take pride in the fact that we helped break another set of retrograde stereotypes and prejudices with the election of Barack Obama. Harvard sociologist Orlando Patterson notes that “for the first time since enfranchisement, [women] voted in greater numbers, and more progressively, than men,” favoring Obama by a 13 percent margin, while men were almost evenly split. In doing so, we selected a candidate whose views on issues like health care and equal pay and reproductive rights align with our interests.

But among the darker revelations of this election is the fact that the vice-grip of female stereotypes remains suffocatingly tight.”

Gee, Amanda, I wonder why?! If I recoil in fear from a young black kid on the sidewalk for no reason other than that he is wearing baggy jeans and a hooded sweatshirt I am the one who is perpetuating the vice-grip of stereotypes, not the kid. For crying out loud Amanda, when YOU write an article in which you label decisive women bitches and pretty women ditzes YOU are the one who is tightening the vice-grip.

ARE THERE ANY EDITORS OUT THERE? HELLO??

The mindless regurgitation of unchecked conventional wisdom notwithstanding, it’s important to point out that 16% of McCain voters were Hillary Democrats — that’s 9.8 MILLION PUMA VOTERS who protested the DONC’s selection of obama. I would guess that most of those 10 million were women, and the vast majority of them told pollsters race was NOT a factor in their decision. So whatever Fortini says, I don’t believe the election of the first black man is a source of enduring pride for most American women this month.

In worse news, the Philadelphia Weekly published THIS piece of violent hate speech under the guise of Humor and, very oddly, Grammar. Here are the best bits:

I suspect Hannity was too busy drooling to notice, but the word she probably meant was “eager,” not “anxious.” Unless she was trying to tell Fox News viewers she had anxiety about losing—which she didn’t—she made the all too common mistake of confusing “anxious” and “eager.” It’s an important distinction: She was eager for Election Day; she’s anxious about the impending hysterectomy she doesn’t yet know we’ve scheduled for her.

But perhaps the most prized spoil of the election is the richest word to enter the lexicon in a long time. Like all the best neologisms, it’s descriptive, it’s self-explanatory and it just makes you feel so good: “Palinfreude.”

Even more than reports that she didn’t know Africa was a continent, it may be the best thing Sarah Palin gave us in her short, inglorious political life … other than President-elect Obama, of course.

If only she knew what it meant, she could enjoy it too. Seems like it’d be right up the vindictive bitch’s alley.

Need I say more?

Alright, I can’t resist. I’ve heard some people, rightfully outraged by this piece of hate speech, compare it to imagining a forced vasectomy on a male politician. Close, but not quite. A vasectomy, which snips the delivery route for little spermie cells, leaves all sexual functions and masculine traits intact. If the pig Jeffrey Barg had gleefully called for Sarah Palin to have her fallopian tubes forcibly tied, THAT would make a better comparison to a vasectomy, although it probably wouldn’t have been as much of a knee-slapper for barg and his pig admirers. Anyway, a hysterectomy is a grave and painful operation, and the side-effects to a woman’s hormones and sex life are profound and permanent.

Interestingly (or not), is the historical fact that forced hysterectomy has been used as a weapon of torture and terror against women since the dawn of surgery, which, as we all know, came on the scene MUCH later than misogyny, but quickly put itself at the service of woman hating and oppression. And of course, the word hysterical comes straight from the Greek word for uterus, hyster. But I digress. The ONLY forced surgery on a man that is comparable to a hysterectomy is castration — the literal cutting off of his testicles. And we ALL know how funny it would be if I wrote gloatingly about a doctor strapping obama to a table and chopping off his testicles! Right?

Right.

Thank you…I will be back to do this prowl with a vengeance!

There is a movie Laura Dern was in about forced hysterectomy…Rambling Rose. I highly recommend it.

My mom’s uterus was taken, and she suffered much from that. Fibroids runs in our family, but hers weren’t even that bad. I left one doctor because he wanted to take mine out and then wanted to do some other procedure, and when I couldn’t go through with it, he yelled, fine, then! We’ll book you in the hospital and put you under.

He wrote up my irrational fear of procedures in my medical record.

This stuff is more than metaphorical.

When Jesse Jackson Sr said about Obama “I want to cut his nuts off” and called him the n-word, the press had a feeding frenzy reporting it–but wouldn’t print the word “nuts” (does anyone else remember the word “nuts” blacked out?). The n-word thing wasn’t even reported until later and was cut from the tape when it finally did make the news. Looks like MSM is getting over their squeamishness pretty fast.

Firstly after reading your article ‘Forced Hysterectomies for Bitches and Ditzes.’ I want to scream against women being used by men.
Obviously a women had to write a degrading compare and contrast piece about women, a man would have been blown out of the water.
Secondly, Already faxed my prowl to the NY Magazine regarding the article by Amanda Fortini, asking Amanda Fortini to join all women in working towards the ERA amendment. Once the ERA is law, she will have the freedom and integrity to write a more appreciative article, on two substantive and intelligent women, such as Senator Clinton and Governor Palin.
Thirdly, this is just another of the thousands or more reasons, the ERA has to be pursued until it becomes part of the constitution.
I wonder where Amanda Fontini places herself on her female scale, is it on the Bitch Side or Ditzes Side of the ledger?

My second letter to KPFT

Dear Ernesto,

I have noticed that not one of the so smart and so witty letter writers have discussed either the caucus fraud or Rangle’s bill.

Truth is not so easy to dismiss. And personal attacks do not work on bills.

I challenge ANY KPFT listener to a debate on caucus fraud or Rangle’s bill.

I could aim lower, or higher, in my letters, but that is not the point. The point is that if Democrats, or non-Republicans, or Liberals, or non-Conservatives are going to take the high road and profess to speak for the people than they must be able to walk the talk. This year the Democratic Party, lead by Sen. Obama, cheated, lied, and stepped on women, the Constitution of the United States of America, and truth to cheat their way into the White House. Nothing good comes from lying and cheating, especially when the will of the people is disrespected. If not for the caucus fraud, Hillary would have been the Democratic contender for the POTUS. And she would have won. If this point scares you and you are unable to discuss it without personal attacks, perhaps you are not the liberal or the Democrat you thought you were.

My reason, of course, for the ERA is equal pay for equal work. That’s a big one. And quite frankly women should have equal everything. If can send women into battle, which is a fact now days, then they should have equal rights. If I had been paid better I could have a decent retirement check. That is the same for most women, they live in poverty in their old age because all they are living on is social security.

i am for the Equal Rights Amendment. The other reason I want it, is because my lover fought for it back then in the 70’s in Florida when she lived down there. She passed away a couple of years ago 2005, feb. 22nd. it didn’t pass and we should do it for all those suffergetes and other women who helped us make some headway. We do have women who are CEOs and the like, for instance, but I doubt whether they get paid $27 million a year like that bank manager from one of those big banks who went belly up on Wallstreet :)

this bloody changing of the thread, is real annoying…

QUOTE OF THE DAY
“Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation and social standing, never can bring about a reform. Those who are really in earnest must be willing to be anything or nothing in the world’s estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathy with despised and persecuted ideas and their advocates, and bear the consequences.”

******** Zee,

That is the reason … I asked about “Socialism”! I am unfamiliar with this subject ( other than some basic Western Civ. classes in college 20 years ago); therefore, hence my asking the PUMAS thoughts and/or opinions. When I noticed the similarity between BO’s agenda and the Socialism websites (Deomcratic Socialism) … I just wanted a few opinions. I thought that I WAS CLEAR TO EVERYONE that I just wanted “their take” on the subject. I know that there are alot of well read, educated, overall smart women (and men) here who could better inform and/or educate me about what I saw. I have met alot of very nice people on this site and did not think they they would mind sharing their opinions with me. I was not trying to cause any hysteria by any means – nor am I hysterical about the subject! That is not to say that I agree with it or would like to see it implemented in this country.

southerngal — I hope Zee sees your comment when she gets back. She is excellent at explaining things. Kat is also a font of information — they often have differing views, so it is especially interesting, for me at least, to read their comments on a subject.

texas tigress is always wrong about everything, but she IS very funny.

Socialism in many forms has been around for a LONG time. Some modern democracies, like Sweden, have economies that are QUITE socialist compared to ours, but they are not communist nor are they authoritarian or fascist or evil in any way.

The Canadian public health care system is an example of a socialist approach to a public policy issue. So is our own Medicare.

Nothing is simple, but there ARE commonly accepted definitions and examples of capitalism, socialism, democracy, communism, dictatorships, fascism, etc.

wikipedia is your FRIEND. :-) you could probably spend hours clicking from link to link if you type socialism into the wiki search engine.

I know i do.

“…cause any hysteria by any means – nor am I hysterical about the subject!”
Not critcizing you.
We need a substitute word for the male term for “hysterical”, (”comes straight from the Greek word for uterus, hyster”, read Murphy’s article above).

The term originates with the Greek medical term, hysterikos. This referred to a medical condition, thought to be particular to women, caused by disturbances of the uterus, hystera in Greek. The term hysteria was coined by Hippocrates, who thought that suffocation and madness arose in women whose uteri had become too light and dry from lack of sexual intercourse (of course. In penicentric cultures, a dick is the answer to everything, anyway… goddamned morons ) and, as a result, wandered upward, compressing the heart, lungs, and diaphragm.

The same general definition, or under the name female hysteria, came into widespread use in the middle and late 19th century to describe what is today generally considered to be sexual dissatisfaction.[1] Typical treatment was massage of the patient’s genitalia by the physician and later vibrators or water sprays to cause orgasm.[1] By the early 1900s, the practice and usage of the term had fallen from use until it was again popularized when the writings of Sigmund Freud became known and influential in Britain and the USA in the 1920s. The Freudian psychoanalytic school of psychology uses its own, somewhat controversial, ways to treat hysteria.

Oh, how about this: a lil socialism is cool. Too much is not cool. Benevolent socialism and empathy for all comes from a decent place. Revenge socialism as a bridge to dominate via communism, stemming from racial & classist hatred for one group comes from a mean place, a la Ayers, Dorhn, Wright, Farrakhan, Cone, Pfleger, etc.

Ok, I am going to make phone calls. You know, this will be my third round with New York magazine. I’ve read horrendously sexist and stupid things from that magazine before.

They take in freelance writers and accept supposedly provocative or edgy articles, but usually they are just stupid. Saying a whole bunch of empty and sensational crap is not edgy or smart at all. It’s like they like to tap into the ones who are un-PC, which is nice, but then it gets screwed up because they aren’t smart enough to pull it off, and it just comes out as prejudiced bs.

Oh, and in general, I am SO sick of the woman writer who is expected to take off the gloves on other women. It’s OK, SEEEEE, a woman wrote it. Freakin’ cowardly men, and duped suck up women.

“SACRAMENTO, Calif.- A former opponent of Barack Obama’s has come back to haunt him over questions regarding Obama’s citizenship.

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and other members of his American Independent Party have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento to stop the state from giving its electoral votes to President-elect Barack Obama until documentary evidence is provided to prove Obama is indeed a citizen of the United States.

Some conservatives have questioned Obama’s citizenship in recent months. Obama says he was born in Hawaii in 1961.

Keyes also ran against Obama as a Republican for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois in 2004. Obama won that election to serve his first and only term in the U.S. Senate.”

In my opinion, a woman writer has a special opportunity every time her pen hits the paper. When one thinks back to all the male pseudonyms women had to endure, never getting credit, or reviewed as if she were a man, I think it’s about time that women realize their words don’t have to equate to a curtsy on the hungry boss man’s face. yuck, I can’t stand it. To think I have been a democrat for 25 yrs. and they screw the baby boomers out of our retirement, your goddamn right i’m pissed. Everyone has been hurt, everyone i talk to says their portfolio or their 401B has been effected but again NOONE IS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE. ARE THEY IN TRANCE OF SOME KIND? what does it take for people to realize that we are facing some real bad economical times. That the middle class are going to suffer like they have never suffered before and they are going to stand there and say WHAT HAPPENED. It is just amazes me.

I have been robbed of my retirement. I have worked for 46 years like a lot of people in this country and people say oh well.

I told my mother I am going to sell the house and I am going to move and be with her and rest of my family. I figure if I am going to face hard times I want to be with my mum and family because basically in this world the only thing that matters is family and then comes friends and rest can go to bloody hell.

If it is any concellation, at the high school where i worked for 5 yrs., the nurse who is a friend of mine has had both her breasts worked on for treatment of cancer. another great teacher friend of mine had a lump removed just the other day. The schools here have 60 yrs.old plumbing, there is no air conditioning, there grungy, the bathrooms are awful, some of the girls don’t even use them. The classrooms get cleaned once a year. They only collect the trash everyday. All the schools I would guess in an inter-city like San Diego and else where are the same and yes the nurse had asbestos removed from her ceiling but as she was quick to point out, asbestos gives you a lung disease not breast cancer but I remember in the Main Admin Office, every year when the heating system came on we would all get sick with the flu. Can’t imagine what filth is in those pipes from 60 yrs. ago. I’m sure glad I;m not there anymore either.

Good afternoon.

I signed the petition on the previous post.

The media cannot get off the woman bashing. I think they are afraid that a woman is next in line to become President since we have the first black man. This mysogyny and sexism with the media should have been nipped in the bud when it first started in January. It was there before that time, but it got more aggressive during the primary season and general election. I wish that Hillary’s surrogates would have called attention to it and called an end to it immediately. They should have said that it is unacceptable to treat a human being that way regardles of their sex.

Benn popping in and out all morning reading the blog and following the links.
Know what amazes this little puma?
They are STILL attacking the entire movement.
Tells me they are really really scared.
I wonder why?
After all. PUMA is null and void. Had no effect on the election and actually helped get CArpathia elected.
Right?
Keep on keeping on PUMAS.
From a male pov, I tell you that the most interesting aspect is how many women are falling in line with being treated like dirt.
If it wasn’t for my PUMA sisters I would could very easily be led to believe that women WANT to be treated this way. Well not really, even if it wasn’t for my PUMA sisters I would doubt women enjoyed any of this.
However, I bet quite a few young men have already been convinced of just such an idea.
What does anyone think about the idea that this is in part, a plan to eliminate women from the political spectrum?
Because it sure seems that way to me.

The lawsuit news finally hits the mainstream.
——————–
Although this isgood publicity for the issue, Alan Keyes does not have “standing” and therefore cannot bring this suit.
——————
“What does anyone think about the idea that this is in part, a plan to eliminate women from the political spectrum?”

snow, I said as much this morning, or yesterday, or the day before… can’t keep track. I think that was in part, the reason they eliminated Senator Hillary Gotham Clinton. They know women are a major voting block, even though we are not a monolithic entity that votes the same way. The ‘gender gap” in politics is a threat to males, and once we’re in full swing, and on the same page… it’s OVER for the shmucks.
They can’t compete on a level playing field… never could, never will be able to.

57

Woodie 11.17.08 at 4:40 pm

We have this one teacher. She brings those handy wipes and she cleans the desk off every period and the kids complain. we dont like the smell. Too bad she tells them. She sweeps her classroom every period too as the kids throw whatever on the floor, but for the most part the classroom is in a bugalow shabby and dirty….but no one complains least of all the teachers. it just is.

Must have missed your post earlier. Impossible oto keep up.
I think there is more to it than just “gender wars”.
I have a few theories I want to explore before making any comments however.
I will however give a hint as to what I am thinking.
Certain religions have very clear mandates for how women should act and be treated by society.
Furthermore, these same religions have , as part of their philosophy, an expansionist agenda.
Something to look into.

They can’t compete on a level playing field… never could, never will be able to. Remember I said all those “dicks” at CNN which i called them and told them what i thought on how they treated hillary are scared to death of us. Why do you think they came down on hillary and palin soooo hard.
They are scared to death. Ha I find it amusing really but I will never forgive them how they treated both those women who by the way are very strong and great in my book.

I just threw this comment on Jeffrey BARF’s thread:

“SO, Jeffrey Barg thinks it’s cool to joke around about…what? Kidnapping a woman and cutting out her uterus?….oooh, you really want to rip her mother power out don’t you?

The uterus is the heart of a woman, right? Must. cut. it. out. with. bloodied. scalpel.

Jack the Ripper might have enjoyed this little male freak out of yours, but I can assure you, it aint the 1880’s. You need a reality check, son.

Published by the Islamic Society of North America, Plainfield, Indiana, 1976., Fourth Printing – January 1983

The aim of the Islamic movement is to bring about somewhere in the world a new society wholeheartedly committed to the teachings of Islam in their totality and striving to abide by those teachings in its government, political, economic and social organizations, its relation with other states, its educational system and moral values and all other aspects of its way of life.

Our organized and gradual effort which shall culminate in the realization of that society is the process of Islamization.

#23 Murphy…

It’s sad to say I could not explain much per se about Communism and Socialism, altho I’ve had my ear about chewed off by advocates of said systems.

My points as they apply to PUMAs…let’s concentrate on common ground outside of partisan stances (altho obviously we’re all going to advocate from our own standpoints), and let’s not fear the dire warnings about Marxism, Commies, socialists. First of all, those of us on the left despise Obama because he is a REAGAN apologist…and surely some agree we don’t want to go there! (Unless we’re in the mood for fur flying…and I’m more in the mood for hunting down our common prey.)

Second, the only way the people can overthrow the government is when there are enough people agreeing the government is a total, predatory mess. In other words, it will be an “us” movement, not a “them” movement.

Thirdly, hello! WE are the revolution. We’re the ones they were not expecting…still. Don’t let them fool you we “lost” because, sisters, they are ALL still talking about us. From MSM to Rush.

lol! Rowr!

Like Palin the maverick, I call my own kind to the line, as well, especially their unwillingness to fight Islam as purveyors of the rankest most shameful gender apartheid and let us say it…gynocide.

Let’s not forget that it is not easy to continue a discussion over time and distance here online. So let’s give each other leeway for understanding, on all sides, to unfold.

75

kat in your hat 11.17.08 at 5:14 pm

snowtigerredux: Yeah, I know. The thing is that black liberation theology is marxist, and it crosses all religions. Pfleger’s Catholic church St. Sabina is black liberation theology, so is Pastor Wright’s Trinity christian church, so is Farrakhan’s mosque, and Meeks’ baptist church or whatever, and the black panthers are down with it too, on and on. It’s a socio-political theology.

It’s anti-Jew; anti-Israel; racist against whites; and it’s anti-capitalism and anti-Americanism.

You give me a white skinhead and a hard-core black liberation theologist and ask me which one hates jews more. It’s a no-brainer. Black liberation theology is about God being black, not jewish, and how jews STOLE the historic significance of being the ‘chosen ones’ FROM BLACKS. Might make ya a little pissed off at a group if you truly believe they stole your rightful position from scripture and all through the ages, eh?

And we need to coin our own parallel to hysterical.

How about “prostratatious!”

she also has a great sense of humor and a thick skin. SO, I’m not worried about yous two.

i love reading both your comments. they are enormously helpful and informative.

and, may I repeat:

9.8 MILLION DEMOCRATS AND INDEPENDENTS VOTED FOR JOHN MCCAIN BUT WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON. THERE ARE 10 MILLION PUMAS OUT THERE WHO VOTED AGAINST OBAMA ON NOV 4TH, AND THEY ARE NOT REPUBLICANS

nothing against republican voters, and I’m sure there are lots of republican voters who are Pumas, but republicans voting for mccain dont raise pollsters’ eyebrows. Hillary supporters voting for McCain do.

78

kat in your hat 11.17.08 at 5:18 pm

It’s not a “cause” it’s just what the guy’s background is. Period.

I am not scared of marxists. I don’t think they are goblins and scary bogeymen. I give a crap about who runs our country, period, and I am not one to throw common sense to the wind and assume that his entire background, since birth, is somehow inconsequential or detached from his thoughtstream.

79

Zee 11.17.08 at 5:22 pm

#41 GOSUE,

“WHY THE F**K doesn’t the constitution protect all of us anyway???”

The Constitution inherently protects us all. Jefferson was against spelling out specific rights in the Bill of Rights because, he reasoned, if certain rights were spelled out people would assume we ONLY have those rights.

He relented, but he’s been proven correct. We have far more rights than are spelled out…ours inherently. And any law written to impede a group’s “pursuit of happiness” is unconstitutional.

“His plans are going to be swift and they are going to hurt.”

So were Bush’s and Cheney’s and boy did they about destroy us.

The worst, imo, (besides Bush’s immediate reversal of women’s issues) was how Cheney was assigned to follow through on the bipartisan Hart-Rudman plan to protect our country from attack.

We see how well that worked out.

Not to mention the Patriot Act, the unprovoked war on an uninvolved nation, and the list goes on.

We survived Bush, let me assure you LATECOMERS that we will survive Obama, too. And welcome you…we have MUCH to do to ensure that our citizens are afforded our voice and our vote against the corporate media.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.- A former opponent of Barack Obama’s has come back to haunt him over questions regarding Obama’s citizenship.

Senate.

Women in the military are silently struggling. In 2007, there were 2,688 reported sexual assaults in the military, with nearly half being rape.

Shockingly, most are forced to pay for their own rape kit, which are victims’ files containing DNA samples, interviews, photographs of injuries and other evidence. Military women deserve justice – please speak out now. >>

Women in the military are twice as likely to be raped as their civilian counterparts, and are more likely to be raped by a fellow soldier than killed by enemy fire. Justice is long overdue.

Urge the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in the upcoming administration to reform military health care so that rape kits are covered. >>

Hey Pumas, I’m heading out, but this Jeff Barg thing really pisses me off. Leave a comment. Here was mine:

Jeff,

First, can you be sure that Governor Palin didn’t actually “mean” – anxious?

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/anxious

Perhaps she was in fact “uneasy” or broodingly fearful that a complete fraud like Obama might actually assume the Presidency.

Secondly, I wonder how “eager” you are to answer for your comments?

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/eager

You see, Jeff, it is important that all men choose their words carefully. We must all be willing to accept the consequences when we choose to wield our poison pens. So, if some stranger were to tap you on the shoulder and, removing the blood-thirsty scalpel from hand, force you to confront your misogyny face to face, just how eager would you be to defend yourself, mano a mano?

Lastly, Jeff, is this your idea of a swell photo? (warning: graphic image)

Zee
Point I was making is, “Is there a religious movement in this country to silence women?”
Face it. If there is one thing certain religious sects hate about the U.S. it is American women.
As far as most religions are concerned,I’m not even remotely concerned.
As long as those religions are held in check by the constitution, who cares?
When they seek to, as a religious cause, supplant the constitution? Then I get worried.
Silencing of women is a first ,and very important step,if you accept the premise.
Honestly. no one would ever call me a “womans Libber”. However no one can say I’m anti woman either. I can see the destruction of womens voices as a GOAL of this election cycle.
The question is, was it planned? Taken advantage of? A happenstance?
One thing for sure, women as of right now, cannot be taken seriously in the general electorate. As group, they have shown how badly they can be treated and still fall in line.
60% of them anyway.

if an msm outlet is reporting on the bc lawsuit, it IS news — tautological and everything.

my fondest wish is that some reputable and responsible expert will explain the situation so that we can put it to rest, one way or another.

if Krazy Keyes is the catalyst, so be it.

118

Zee 11.17.08 at 5:56 pm

kat, I said Alan Keyes is a joke, not you!

And I am very fond of his wackiness. My only point is we can be more effective not talking about Keyes or Marxism.

Leave partisan crap out of it, and the points remain the same. We need to look at our angles as well as our main messages.

119

Zee 11.17.08 at 5:58 pm

#116, snowtiger, bingo.

Women’s freedom is the lynchpin in this entire global mess. (I mean in the overall control and talking points. Of course the actual fighting points are natural resources.)

Heartbreaking post, Murphy.

Once again, PUMAs, I commend to you Gyn/Ecology by Mary Daly. There is a chapter in the book covering the misogynistic onslaught by the medicine men and the husbands and fathers and brothers in forced hysterectomies (to keep women from being crazy) and lobotomies (to keep women from being independent). These techniques made women better homemakers, in theory.

Mary Daly also explains with brilliance the cultural dynamics in play today that perpetuate gender wars and intra-gender destruction.

“Love this for more than one reason…Keyes can’t be accused of playing the race card (he is also black) and Keyes lost to the big O and deserves payback as a cherry on top.”

Yeep. Except that Alan Keyes doesn’t have any “standing”. He’s only a citizen, like all the rest of us without standing.
——-
Part of the reason the ‘courts’ say Berg didn’t have ’standing’ was because he had nothing to loose as a mere citizen in the election.
Keyes could contend that running against Obama, an unfit candidate…ended Keyes chance to win the election and everyone else’s that was running.

OH NO , word is getting around , a bot just called me non sequitur ! (or maybe it was Murphy disguised as a bot !)

A non sequitur (pronounced [ˌnɒnˈsɛkwɨtɚ]) is a conversational and literary device, often used for comical purposes (as opposed to its use in formal logic). It is a comment which, due to its lack of meaning relative to the comment it follows, is absurd to the point of being humorous or confusing.

In other words that means “texas tigress is always wrong about everything, but she IS very funny.”

I better go change my screen name to something much more smarty pants sounding – THEN I will get some respect !!!!!!
bwaaahahaahaa !!!

Now i have ranted and raved i guess ill ill get on topic. :)
Murphy says its about time woodie :) it s free country atleast now it is.
hysterectomy is a grave and painful operation, and the side-effects to a woman’s hormones and sex life are profound and permanent. yes i was seeing a gynocologist for HRT i was 50. He called me on the phone, he said, “You need a hysterectomy” I said “I am not going to have a hysterectomy”, and I hung up. He called me back again and we went through the same thing. I said why, he said your uterus is 1 cenimeter larger than last year. Well I really didn’t give a rat’s ass. I asked him what about by labido? (sp) oh gosh another spelling mistake) that person who hates that sorry about that but as I have got older my spelling has gone to hell) You know what I mean anyway, he said, Oh, you can take some pills for that. I decided against it.
End of story. I came into this world with this plumbing and I intend to go out the same way…

Ok, I still don’t “get it” about Ernesto and the radio show Jennifer and Murphy were on. I think I saw, though, that Jennifer said it’s a liberal radio station? That might the problem then. The more far left liberal somebody is the more protective they are of “The One”.. if they have a lot of far left obots who regularly listen in they are NOT going to like to hear anybody say anything except that Obie is the savior of the world for today…

138

CatBalu 11.17.08 at 6:24 pm

Just posted on the Phil. weekly site:

You HAVE to be kidding with this article! The impending hysterectomy she doesn’t yet know we’ve scheduled for her? Is this a joking matter to you or just pure woman hatred? How about we cut something off of you and see how that goes over?

Enough with the Palin bashing. It has already been established that the Africa story was a contrived, inaccurate attempt to smear her some more and if you think she has had a short, inglorious political life, just wait until 2012 — but then that is probably what this is all about — let’s trash her now so we don’t have to deal with her later. How threatened are you?

And I wish there was some word that I could gratuitously toss at you that is the equivalent of bitch — a vindictive one at that. Yes, you are quite the wordsmith.

139

Woodie 11.17.08 at 6:25 pm

Jenni: about your radio show…can you take suggestions? let the assholes say there piece, (no interruptions) and then say thank you for calling and giving us your opinion, next caller please. and leave it at that. as I said you can’t be sane with an insane person. There is something about these abots that there is no reasoning with them. They are right (even though they are wrong) and you are wrong. What they really are a bunch of fucking brainwashed idiots.

Castration is not nearly as invasive as hysterectomy. Perhaps we should call for the castration and prostatectomy for those who advocate desexing us. That is equal to radical hysterectomy in women.

This election has finally brought out the real men and the stupidity of the women who will do anything to appease them and get ahead in their world. It is time we make our own world, or perhaps go ahead and claim it. After all we have given birth to every cockeyed idiot on the planet.

My anger grows daily.

145

Heneri 11.17.08 at 6:43 pm

My dad is 79, and the father of 6 daughters. He is shocked and dismayed at what he has seen in this election. He says that he knew that women had an uphill battle, but never, ever, thought we were the targets of such horrific disrespect. He says that even back when he was younger, women were at least treated with a little respect, even when they were denied equal opportunity. He says that now even the pretence of civility toward women is gone.

In my conversation with Dad Saturday night, he told me to encourage every PUMA to fight like hell. He says if we don’t jump on this now, it will get more and more out of hand.

I think he is right. We need to stay on top of this and never give up.

Thanks Murphy for the prowls. I am calling them in person first thing in the morning, and am preparing some faxes right now. I want nothing less than dismissal fo the people who concocted these articles. And if they don’t at least apologise for them, we should get every PUMA in the area to go and walk a picket line in front of their place of business.

146

Woodie 11.17.08 at 6:46 pm

It is not funny. But they want to beat us, demoralize us, cut us up, and burn us to the ground at the stake. You have to ask why. Women are more everything. They are more compassionate, they are smarter, they more good looking, they have common sense, and they are humanistic, which frankly quite men are inadequate in most of these areas. The poor things. The only thing they think they have over us is their penis. My husband said to me once, I bet you wish you had one of these as he was going to the bathroom with a hard on, I said, I do, every single nite. :) Even when we kill, we do it with compassion. Sleeping pills. Like I say to fritzy, go bye bye now. Men on the other hand will slit your throat like OJ. Almost cut their heads right off, he was so mad but you see with him he got his. He will be sentenced in a few weeks and the same thing will happen to Obama. I just hope I am round to see that. I will jump up and down and say woooooohooooooooo. “Thank you Jesus”.

Speaking of hysterectomy… I had one when I was 47. I had to. I had huge growths that were so huge that they were blocking my bowel. That’s actually how I found out. I wasn’t having bowel movements and I went to see the dr. He sent me for a colonoscopy. The dr doing the colon check came in and told me that the colon was ok but that there were HUGE growths on the ovaries and uterous (sp?) that were blocking my insides and had to come out. I had the complete done… and have the large scar down my belly to prove it. I found out that it WASN’T really Sr Isaac Newton who discovered gravity- it was a woman who had a hysterectomy.. ’cause after it I had to hold my guts in to keep them from falling out every time I got up. I “discovered” gravity all my myself! On the other hand, I am SO GLAD I had it done. I certainly do NOT miss the monthly “vists” (and I actually had them TWICE a month and so hard that if I hadn’t been on “the pill” since I was in about 9th grade I would have bled to death long ago- the twice month was WITH the strongest “pill” on the market). No, I do not for one moment regret having it done.

You have got to read this article in OPEDNews. The article says talks about those not supporting Obama are the ones now perpetrating hate crimes, because Obama won. We’re racists. The Obamas are wonderful parents and he didn’t steal the election. She says that racists should be labeled terrorists. The title of the article is a misnomer. But you have to read this:

I am asking. See what has happened to women since those incidents women have been beaten up etc. that is my stance.

PROJECT AUDIT OBAMA

No, it is no OK that McCain gets audited and BO does not. Even if I have to do it myself. I made some phone calls today to the FEC and believe I have Identified two significant problems with his campaign finances. One I can handle myself but the other requires alot of work and I could use some help.

The project that I need help with involves identifying over-limit campaign contributions, and sending them in to the FEC, requesting an Audit of the entire campaign.

I started doing it today and was shocked by how many there were. They can be identified with reasonable ease using the opensecrets search function: http://www.opensecrets.org/indivs/index.php . The task would be to review lists for the BO campaign and pick out donors over the $2300 limit, print them out and compile them. Then they can be sent in with a notarized cover letter as a complaint, with a request to have the campaign audited.

I am going to start in Florida. The search is done for the BO Campaign, by state and then must have some other specification to keep the search limit of 1000. I specify the name be each letter of the alphabet, A, B, C,… If this is too much then they can be specified AA, AB, AC, AD,…

Please Post the blog with if you are interested in participating. Let me know what state you will be working on. Thanks!

HELLLLLLLOOOO!!!

Uh. Does anyone remember Ayers, Rezko, Wright, al Mansour, Rashid Khalid, his Blind Trust he failed to set up until he introduced legislation on one of his investments, Soomro, Pakistan roomies, et al.!!!

Obama gets a free pass, and their worried about Hillary? I’d say “They’ve got to be kidding.” But they’re not.

What hypocrites and sexists.

Oh. And it’s alright that Biden is shown drunk on video and one was at a campaign stop. But that’s alright.

OK. I see. Oh and we must be racists because we didn’t support an inexperienced candidate, with questionable ties. But we’re racists. Yeah right! I am so P****d O**!!

GoPumaGo 11.17.08 at 8:14 pm

The sentences below is so powerful that it ends all arguments. This sentence should carry the day. I have been reading everything on these cases and it takes time for the depth of the meaning to flow into my brain but now I see this sentence clearly.

Since the the Framers didn’t consider themselves to have been “natural born Citizens” due to their having been subject to British jurisdiction at their birth, then Senator Obama, having also been subject to British jurisdiction at the time of his birth, also cannot be considered a “natural born Citizen” of the United States.

Right now this issue is more important to me. Womens rights have been a problem for thousands of years and will continue to be a problem Besides the manner in which we fight that issue is not the winning method.

Here this issue will pretty much end soon. It needs to be settled before jan 20 approx. The sooner the better for sure. So I am fixated on this issue. Maybe I might have made a reasonable lawyer because I find this legal situation fascinating.

I want the strickest boundaries on who can be president. I would add more restrictions. I definitely want only the best for President. I hope the SCOTUS will agree with Donofrio on the above view of the requirements of Natural Born Citizen.

I will add that I think it takes a lot of reading to fully understand what Donofrio is saying in that powerful sentence. There is much more there then the supperficial words may imply.

I am having trouble with the computer. I am pretty sure this is the correct url.

My grammarian response to the Philadelphia Weekly:

I am writing to you about this column that you allowed to appear in the Philadelphia Weekly. While I believe that each of us has a right to voice our opinions of candidates, laws, news, etc; I also believe that there are standards that everyone in Media, whether it be paper, video, internet must adhere to. If opinions can not be spoken in a civilized manner. than the word “civilized” will come to mean nothing.

I object to the column Mr. Berg has written because he has used his knowledge and talents to degrade not just one woman but all women. A hysterectomy is no small matter for a woman to face; neither is a mastectomy. No one, male or female, should speak lightly of these matters, especially in the manner presented by Mr. Berg. At the very least, I would ask that you reprimand your angry grammarian and ask him to express his anger in a more respectful and considerate way; ask him also if he would want this abuse directed at his mother, sister, daughter, friend, any woman he is capable of having a relationship with.

Thank you for considering my opinion. I have posted my response to Mr. Berg for you here.
_________
Jeffrey Barg, Samuel Johnson would be so proud of you. Like him you cling to the past, desparately trying to force an ever-changing beautiful language into the stultifying rules of an already-dead one, codifying, limiting with endless, meaningless boundaries, imposing structure where none was necessary for centuries before. Thank whatever god you pray to that Johnson came after Shakespeare and Chaucer, Christopher Marlowe, Ben Johnson, and Francis Bacon; none of whom knew how to spell Johnson’s English, but all of whom are more fondly read and remembered than he (except, of course, by scholars like you and me).

I know the value of grammar, but I also recognize the value of oral language, personal language, oral history. What I don’t understand is someone like you. Why do you hide behind your rules and templates? Why do you pretend to care for language when what you really want to do is use your knowledge for personal attack?

Further, sir, I do not understand why your mind could find only the word “hysterectomy” when there are so many fine words in our language, eg. “It would be an honor to speak to the American people in a personal and an honest way,” or “It would be a horrific moment to have my daughters and son insulted by a pedant who shows off his knowledge,” or “I am a mysogynist (a hater of women) who pretends that he is not.”

Is that pedantic enough for you? Did I put all my commas in the right place? I hope so, because I am not sure you would understand my meaning if I did not follow all of Mr. Johnson’s rules.

“Native Tongue is the first novel in Suzette Haden Elgin’s feminist science fiction series of the same name. The trilogy is centered in a future dystopian American society where the 19th Amendment has been repealed and women have been stripped of civil rights. A group of women, part of a world-wide group of linguists who facilitate human communication with alien races, create a new language for women as an act of resistance. Elgin created the language, Láadan, and instructional materials are available.”

Here is something else that should be labeled a hate crime. I am afraid we will be seeing articles like this pop up much more often
.
Evil on a Minneapolis Campus
By Gary Larson
American Thinker | Monday, November 17, 2008
Years ago youthful thugs murdered a young man for his high-priced sneakers. Decent, law-abiding folks wondered again What Is This Country Coming To? In another case, not long ago in Minneapolis, a youthful thug was murdered for his designer sports jersey. Evil happens, its very banality — as political philosopher Hanna Arendt wrote in 1963, coining the phrase “the banality of evil” — is taking on the mantle of practically normalizing once unthinkable events in a civilized American society.
On election night in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a blue state, comes a criminal horror story short of murder, but no less disturbing. It happened at Augsburg college, a private liberal arts school named after a place in Germany the reformer monk Martin Luther served in the 1500s.
After taunting 18-year old freshman Annie Grossmann for wearing her McCain-Palin campaign button at an election night get-together, and “getting in her face,” four women beat her for political views which, obviously, they did not share. Grossmann took verbal abuse at the party, then left for her dorm after it was clear, about 10 p.m., that her candidates had lost. She was followed by the four women into the shadows of a nearby skyway.
There she was beaten. The four women, all black, called Grossmann a “racist.” She knew none of them. Nor did they know her, to her knowledge. It was that damn campaign button that evidently caused their frenzy. Their earlier taunts proved that. They were, Grossmann said, “rubbing her face in Obama’s win.”
“Why do you call me a racist when you don’t even know me?” she screamed. Made no difference. Grossmann was felled by the largest of the four. She hit her head on the brick wall, and staggered back to her dorm. The other three black women at the beating chucked at this dark manifestation of partisan evil. They walked away laughing, offering no help to their victim. The banality of evil had asserted itself. And at four-to-one, it was also a cowardly act of mindless violence which, presumably, the four thought “normal.”
Right here, right here in these United States, it happened, in my home state. A cruel re-awakening to the excesses of partisanship, in this case mixed with racism. That it happened on a college campus is hardly surprising. Not today. Campuses ooze with crazed partisan intolerance, places mostly where left-wing academia hold forth, along with politically correct staff, inculcating students with staunch, impenetrable biases, often leading to violent confrontation.
(Not surprising at all, at another private “liberal arts” campus in Minnesota, a professor was recently dismissed for stealing McCain-Palin lawn signs and delighting in his crime online. Such is the hubris of the clueless left, maybe beyond redemption.)
Freshman Grossmann had been booed roundly at a freshman “mixer” when she identified herself (gasp!) as a Republican. She is from Delta Junction, Alaska, you see, where her mom is a Republican Party leader, a big fan of Gov. Palin. Annie considers her governor to be a role model, something the ardent left must deplore as part of their article-of-faith, damn-conservatives mind-set. Annie’s mom, Dawn Grossmann, had sent her daughter a McCain-Palin sweatshirt. Just think: Imagine the consequences if she had worn that on campus, instead of just a McCain-Palin campaign pin.
Newspaper reports say the four attackers might not have been Augsburg students. Somehow that makes a difference. Well, to the college, perhaps, concerned with its image. But what were the four thugs doing hanging out at a campus election-night party taunting anyone disagreeing with their choice of Obama? Who stood up for Annie? For principle?
She is a member of the college’s ladies’ hockey team, a hockey player in her native Alaska. She was excused temporarily from practice after suffering a concussion and blurred vision from the attack. Thankfully her injuries are not thought permanent. Psychic scars will remain, though, along with a lesson in intolerance, at the clubbing hands of her hyena-like laughing attackers.
This is not the first time Grossman met political hostility in the land of Minnesota Nice. Even her bear-hunting in Alaska proved a sticking point. As reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, a story careful to label the attacks “according to the victim,” we find these clarifying paragraphs:
Grossmann’s parents, Bruce and Dawn, said that in the weeks leading up to the presidential election, Annie had trouble on campus because of her political leanings and for being a hunter.
Bruce Grossmann said a “PETA person” had to be removed from her dorm room because he was upset by a photo of her with a black bear she had shot. Also, he said, she attended an icebreaker on campus and was booed when she identified herself as a Republican.
“I don’t think she was prepared for the close-mindedness,” he said. “I told her she needs to take a lower profile [for the sake of] her academic and her sports careers.”
Intolerance on modern college (and even high school and junior high) campuses is not new, it is plainly clear, in these supposed bastions of free inquiry. They’ve become politicized to the core. Free speech itself is imperiled by their codes. Professors rule. Conservatives are muzzled. It runs one-way on most campuses, fiercely anti-Republican and, in general if not more so, wildly against all conservatives. What happened to 18-year old Annie Grossmann was perhaps a double whammy, of racism and ideological hate. Either way, or both, it’s reprehensible to its heart-of-darkness core, banality of evil to be deplored by all right-thinking Americans.

So… IF this is true and Hillary takes SOS… what are the thoughts of the group? I think she probably realizes very well that ever running for POTUS again is out. However, being “under his thumb” and being under his microscope liable to firing for even BREATHING wrong… seems pretty dumb to me. Anybody have any ideas WHY she would do this? To be honest, when she supported BO so strongly my estimation of her went down… if she takes this, well….

268

snowtigerredux 11.17.08 at 10:02 pm

KarenWI
IMHO, she is going to support carpathia. Thats the job of SOS. To supportm the current presidents policies. The sos has no say in policy matters and must adhere to what the potus wants. I got into this with a obot back before the primary, back when i still hunted them.
As I’ve said before, I will never support anyone who supports “O”.
Of course we don’t bash Hillary here. Rules you know. ;)

I went here to do my part with back up, http://kpft.wordpress.com/2008/11/14/wtf-was-that/ , but I don’t think it was worth the time I spent. Those people there won’t listen to any positions other than their own. We need to stick together and become strong. I didn’t listen to the talk show, but there are people not ready to listen to what happened during the primaries. They are happy that their guy got selected and they are still shouting us down. I think we should remain where they can’t see us until we can come back together in 2010 where an impact will be seen. They lurk over here to see what we are saying and to see what we’re up to. They get all the information they need by visiting here so why waste our time with building their blogs with our debates? Let them imagine what they want to think. They are not worth it.

Your downstairs posting is very interesting! Is there a link? This line caught my eye:

This family still owns most luxury resorts in Bali. Isn’t that where Obama went for 3 months to write a book ?

Actually, it’s where he met up with Ayers to have him ghost write the book! :x  :P

A further thought: in a sense, this would mean a revival and extension of the Suharto regime to America! 8O

Well done, voters. What a sucker-punch!

BrianH 11.17.08 at 4:38 pm

And wasn’t there a story a while ago about some Indonesian-American Congresscritter toddling off to Jakarta for Omposter to purge the passport files of any inconvenient documents? I wondered at the time where anyone would get the pull and access to departments and files like that, aside from flat-out bribery. This certainly helps explain it!

How deep does this conniving and conspiring go? Have we just seen the tip of the iceberg?

mountainsong 11.17.08 at 10:21 pm

I’ve just been lurking today. The blog has been……disturbing.
When I was 15, in the state of Michigan, I wa dragged screaming and kicking, strapped to a table, anesthetized with sodium pentothal and given electro-shock therapy. Because I identify as female and didn’t know how to talk about it. Couldn’t, because no one would hear of it. I knew from my earliest recollection.
I was literally forced into being raised as a male. Even though I had ambiguous genitalia at birth.
I was given 3 out of 4 treatments, when I finally rebelled and threatened to kill myself or anyone who came near me before I’d let them do THAT to me again.
I’ve asked here before, what is WRONG with being female.
All the while growing up, I looked like a girl in boy’s clothes. The girls laughed and the boys beat me up 3 or 4 times a week on a regular basis the whole time I was growing up. Then, when I was 19, in Hollywood, CA. I was brutally beaten and sexually assaulted by 4 older men.
Do I hate men? That’s a strong word, but ‘dislike intensely’ works good.
Lorena Bobbit let the bastard off too lightly. I would have put it in the garbage disposal.

Headclunker 11.17.08 at 10:41 pm

Well, I started the Audit of the Obama Campaign and it is bad. I have been working on the A’s in Florida. It appears that they have caused themselves some problems with the transfers from the Obama Victory Fund to the Obama Campaign. Some of the transfer donors had already maxed out.

That is what BO gets for being greedy. It is doubly dubious because he ended up having to donate $14 million back to the State DNC’s. Bad Move. Overall he transfered almost $60 million from the Victory Fund, putting numerous donors over their limit. The state DNC’s are apparently not authorized committees of the BO Campaign because the $14 million was listed as various contibutions to the state DNC’s (not transfers). That money should have gone from the Victory Fund to the National DNC to the State DNC’s.

I would guess that in an audit he would have to return a substancial portion of the $60 million.

I feel an FEC complaint comming on.

299

KarenWI 11.17.08 at 10:45 pm

Headclunker, WHO would be powerful enough to not only start, but force a FEC complaint through? So far everytime this is brought up it falls apart because it seems that the gov doesn’t want to touch the situation…..

Every time I hear of a women being raped, I wish that the creator had given women a vagina, that when she did not want a man entering her, she could mentally activate a clamping device in her vagina that would pulverize and servere their dick head. It is only a small wish!

TT it appears that there are only 2 or 3 of them and more of us! They have little in the line of substance to offer, just canned rhetoric. Not a single original thought.

I had always thought feminists were women who simply do not allow themselves to be canned up and used by men. That we simply went out and did what needed to be done without asking permission of the other gender, or anyone else for that matter.

And these guys on that blog think it has to be a bra burner or some neoliberal hollywood type! Boy are they misinformed!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

jenniforhillary – I left a few bones over at KPFT, maybe someone will find them chewable. There are still a few children over there but I think they might get sleepy soon. You and Darraugh were fine today, assertive, but fine. I don’t know what was expected, so I don’t know if it fits the protocol of the station, but if it doesn’t take it somewhere else. Don’t stop. I do think it shows the depth of ignorance out there.

Headclunker- it’s a great idea, but there is something I don’t understand. Why are you using opensecrets instead of the FEC website? If it’s not on the FEC web site it won’t be official. Does opensecrets have something the FEC doesn’t?
