Clinton for Secretary of State?

I don’t think that she is seriously in consideration for this job. It would be a total step backwards for her. As Senator, she will be on the front line to pass real meaningful legislation.

If Hillary accepts this position it signifies to the world that she will follow Obamas ideas and plans for our country.

As far as Obama selecting Hillary as his Secretary of State, I think he might.

In doing so, it would be difficult for her to run against him in 2012. I don’t know of any cabinet member running against their President. That would be assuming that a cabinet member would serve the full four year term.

Hillary has quite a constituency, so she will be a powerhouse if she stays in the Senate. I don’t believe those naysayers who think she will shrink into oblivion. Obama knows better. He does political maneuvering “the Chicago Way.”

Remember, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” Oh and take all future Presidential challengers out the running .

If I were Hillary, I would turn it down.

FOR CATHOLIC CONCERN:

On the Sunday before Thanksgiving, millions of Catholics will again be putting in their church’s collection plate their annual donation to what the pre-printed envelope calls “Campaign for Human Development: The Catholic Church working to end poverty and injustice in America; We’ll turn your dollars into hope for the poor of our nation.”
The generous Catholics who respond to that well-phrased appeal probably think they are making a Good Samaritan gift to provide necessaries to the down-and-out. Most would probably be shocked to learn that the money donated to the Campaign for Human Development (CHD) does not go for charity but for radical Obama-style community organizing.

No matter that Hillary “lost”, that we “lost”. The work of the Obamacrats has just begun. The Party must be “united” through the assimilation of disparate energies, or the purging of people, and especially, their ideas. Part of the work of the alleged “post-sixties”, “post- partisan” rebranding of these Obamacrats is the re-writing of history through the scholarly and legitimate re-interpretation of history. This is 60’s politics minus the fractiousness that comes with the multi-faceted voices of a democracy.
The re-remembering began when Obama needed to tear the AA vote away from the Clintons. Phony indignation was generated through Obama surrogates that Hillary was a closet racist. Surrogates prepared the groundwork on “progressive” radio stations and blogs. Hillary’s position that Lyndon Johnson had played a significant role in the birth of the Civil Rights Act was reviled as an insult to Dr. King. How dare she! Everyone has forgotten that the racist Dixiecrats were Democrats and the powerful southern president knew how to twist their legislative arms. Obama would have us “remember” that the Kennedy’s are the ones we should thank for civil rights, although JFK was too hamstrung by his need to be re-elected with the help of southern democrats, to go too far in that direction. The realignment of the south to republicanism was begun by Nixon and completed by Reagan, whom Obama, allegedly “admires”. Hillary derided Obo’s “admiration” of Reagan but the press wrote, and the Party accepted it, with a straight face.

Propaganda is a beautiful thing. It enters the mind like a parasite deposited in the host brain, paralyzes and then consumes it. We’re supposed to see Camelot, the Kennedys, MLK, Mandela, FDR when we see the do-nothing Obozo. He has already said he is the “screen” upon which we project our desires.
John Lewis, an Obama surrogate, wanted the electorate to see George Wallace when they saw McCain and Palin. George Wallace was a Democrat. Don’t forget, centrist Republicans used to exist and stood up for American values before their party was taken over by covert Reagan racists and religious fanatics. Eisenhower was president when the civil rights struggle formally began. It was Eisenhower who warned us against the “military-industrial complex” that we now have. Obama operatives are using the “guilt trip” tactics of the 60”s to bring you back into line.
Cynically, I think the people shouting “kill ‘em” at the McCain rallys could have been Obama operatives. How convenient that it gave Obo an opportunity to call McCain a “racist” again after he got shot down for it earlier in the campaign. Of course, he didn’t do it personally this time, he “distanced” himself from it.
Below, I’ve put a NYT article (hope you can read it) with its “re-interpretation” of history. It’s all fine and good (yeah) except John Lewis did NOT SAY THIS. The article is a re-interpretation of what Lewis allegedly “meant” by his remarks. The NYT is leading the charge for group think. THEY were the paper who first justified Cheney and the phony WMDs. The rehabilitation of Bill Ayers will probably follow.

As an aside, I thought the Obots were out in force on Jenni’s radio show last night, stacking the callers, putting their twist on things with their John Q. Public demographic line-up of older white males, AAs and middle aged white women. Perhaps we should load the airwaves with OUR ideas and make the Obots just LISTEN.

When will the “media ugly” end? Who was it that called it the drive by media? That was funny.

I think I could get over the disappointment a lot easier if the MSM would end the media spin and commentary bs and get back to just reporting the facts. It seems now that they think they’ve gotten away with telling lies it will never end.

As a native New Yorker, I just emailed her to tell her that I am one of her constituents, and I would rather have her stay in the Senate and represent us NYers, continuing to do the fine job that we elected her to do. We elected her to the Senate, we re-elected her in a landslide, and then we gave her another landslide victory in the primary against Zerobama. We do love our Senator Clinton here. So, for me, she can stick around in the Senate.

If she takes on the SOS position, she will not be able to vote in opposition to anything the Zerobama administration might come up with. I would rather have her representing our interests, first of all, and second of all, I would like her to have the option of voting AGAINST this arrogant president if she has to.

As for her running for NY governor — That rumor has been in the air since former Gov. Eliot Spitzer was forced to resign in scandal last year, even before Hill lost the nomination for POTUS. There has also been a persistent rumor here that former mayor of NYC Giuliani might try for the Repub nom for gov. If those two theories hold, we would see Hill vs. Rudy. Quite a fight!

Letter to Illinois State Board of Elections: Election Day Text Messages May Violate Law against Electioneering in Polling Places

Illinois State Law Prohibits Political Speech “within any polling place”
Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has issued a request to the Illinois State Board of Elections to investigate whether the Obama campaign’s planned Election Day text messages would violate a state law that prevents electioneering in polling places. Judicial Watch plans to issue similar requests to election officials in other states.
According to media reports, Senator Obama’s campaign sent text messages to voters on primary day in New Hampshire encouraging them to vote for Senator Obama. The Obama campaign apparently intends to conduct a similar text message campaign on Election Day. Given that these messages will likely be received and read by voters on their cell phones inside polling places, and perhaps inside voting booths, the messages may violate an Illinois state law against electioneering within polling places.
Illinois law specifically states: “No…person shall, at any primary or election, do any electioneering or soliciting of votes or engage in any political discussion within any polling place.” [10 ILCS 5/17-29 (a)]
According to the Judicial Watch letter, dated October 28, 2008:
“Even if an individual is planning on voting for Senator Obama on Election Day, a voter should be able to enter a polling place and cast his or her vote without being subjected to yet more electioneering. Secrecy, privacy, and freedom from outside influence in the polling place are fundamental to ensuring a fair election process. The people of Illinois must be free to cast their votes without electioneering text messages inside Illinois polling places. Illinois law requires no less.”
“There is no difference between a text message received on a cell phone in a polling station and a campaign sign. The effect is to influence citizens as they cast votes. This electioneering is prohibited not only by Illinois state law, but the by the laws of other states as well. We expect that responsible government authorities will ask Senator Obama to abandon his planned Election Day text message campaign. Our letter to Illinois is a first step, as we’re working now to alert other states about this matter,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

It isn’t that simplistic. I think the only thing that will heal Senator Hillary Rodham’s supporters, as well as millions of other Democrats, and newly ex-Democrats,
would be to reinstate legal and fair primary elections.
This would mean no disenfranchising voters, every vote cast carrieds full weight and counts, and should be counted and awarded to the candidate who earned them; the DNC/RBC would not be allowed to suspend its rules and bylaws in order to favor one candidate over another; candidates would not be awarded votes that were not cast for them, nor would the RBC be allowed to remove delegates, fairly earned, and give them to a candidate who had removed himself from the ballot (ref: Michigan, 2008);
caucuses would be eliminated, and therefore a major arena for fraud would be eliminated; delegates would have to fairly reflect the will of the voters, and paying them or contributing to their campaigns woud be considered bribery and illegal interference with US elections; Super Delegates would be eliminated ; traditional, open (public) roll calls at the convention should be a given; candidates would have to be vetted, in terms of citizenship, and criminal records; medical records would also have to be mad epublic; and campaign contrinutions would also have to be examined for their source, and therefore, legality.
As it stands now, Obama wouldn’t pass muster to be one of his body guards, or a federal civil service employee of the lowest rank.

Nothing less than these changes will bring true Democrats back to the party. And, no less than these changes will garner support for the DP selectee Senator Obama.

Aside from that, I think Senator Clinton should stay as far away from the toxicity and otherwise corrupt, new administration, as is feasibly possible.”

Roger Morin, wrote a letter to say that the Church would no longer contribute to Acorn. I do not believe this, as you may all know by now, there are all kinds of incorporations re Acorn around the country..and clearly no one at the Campaingn for Human Development or funding sources has paid one damn bit of attention. Here in No many churches are being closed, against the wishes of parishoners…under the guise of Katrina related money issues. : THIS IS A LIE.

I urge all Catholics to BOYCOTT ANY GIVING TO CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT OR TO CONTRIBUTE IN ANY WAY. Obama will be the incumbent in 2012 for the Democratic party so Hillary will not run and John Mc might consider himself out of the market. It is a job tht would fit both of them since they are known in other countries and neither will back down if needed.

I expect Hillary and McCain are both smart enough to stay in the Senate instead of leaving it to take any job for BO.

In the Senate they can be rallying points for anti-BO and keep working for their own longterm legislation.

At best case, a job such as SOS or cabinet ends when the president leaves. Senate lasts forever, as long as your own state voters are happy with you.

RE: The Wiley Clark lawsuit, this quote was very significant, I think: “In another unrelated action, though also aimed at forcing Obama to release proof or step down, 24 potential Electoral College electors are filing action Monday morning in court also demanding proof. A call is herein being issued to any elector in any state, especially democrat electors who would like to join that effort. Electors interested in adding their name to this lawsuit can contact Mr. Marquis who will put you in contact with the attorney handling that case.”
If there’s still a question of “standing”, having electors involved should resolve that.
