Ready for your kids and grandkids to join the new, mandatory Civil Defense training camps? Rahm Emmanuel says “there can be nothing wrong with all Americans having a joint similar experience of civil …what we call civil defense training or civil service…some sense of service to country in preparation, which will give people a sense of what it means to be an American. We propose three months. At the end of the day someone says it should be four more. I’m not going to sit here and hold it up.” Holy Smokes.

We’ll be talking about this, as well as THIS rawther shocking bit of exit poll data tonight on The Lion’s Share at 8pm eastern. Tune your cat channels to Puma United Radio (PURrrr!) to listen live, and call in at 347-539-5420!

Read the article below and you might just see one more “piece of the puzzle” fall in to a plan for mass indoctrination of Obama Regime

1) National Security Force
2) Mass communication internet system for “broadcasting his policies”

Obama to pioneer Web outreach as president

By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer Beth Fouhy, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 40 mins ago

NEW YORK – Transition officials call it Obama 2.0 — an ambitious effort to transform the president-elect’s vast Web operation and database of supporters into a modern new tool to accomplish his goals in the White House. If it works, the new president could have an unprecedented ability to appeal for help from millions of Americans who already favor his ideas, bypassing the news media to pressure Congress.

“He’s built the largest network anyone has ever seen in politics, and congressional Republicans are clueless about the communications shift that has happened,” Democratic strategist Joe Trippi proclaims. The results, he says, “will be amazing to watch.”

Republicans say they’ll be watching for White House Web outreach that appears overly political…..

Yes, NPR featured this web presence for the new presidency on a news segment this afternoon. Comments from callers praised the accessibility of BO’s campaign. The reporter noted the younger generation’s preference for online news, and considered how it would allow future presidents to stay immediately connected with citizens.

Yes PUMApac did. problem is that PUMA isn’t seen as a “woman’s group” … and PUMA isn’t seen as a powerful force in the political world yet. IMO, most in the media don’t realize that PUMA is still here.

I think an organized PUMA Prowl is needed to remind O’Reilly that PUMA is still here and that PUMA stood up for Palin and will continue to stand up for all woman that are mistreated and smeared.

I just signed on… was gone all day today. First a thought I wanted to share. I see that a lot of the $700 billion bail-out is being spent by the gov’t buying bank stock. Is that what the rest of you are seeing? IF SO, does that mean that the stock market is really tanking MUCH WORSE that what we’re even seeing? I mean, if it’s going down so much with the gov’t spending billions buying bank stock how much would it be tanking if the gov’t WEREN’T buying bank stock? Think about it.

I saw the nose dr today and got a clean bill. He said I do have bronchitis, but my mose is healing nicely and is right on schedule- still healing and dissolving stitches still dissolving. My 84 year old mom and I went to a couple stores after that, and I left her in the car while I went in the grocery story. I left the car keys in the ignition as I usually do when I leave her in the car, so that she can adjust the windows while I’m gone. I came out with my arms full of groceries and found an empty car with the keys still in the ignition. She “had to go to the bathroom” and went in, forgetting the keys were in there. I almost had a heart attack. I guess.. for the first time in my life… I’m going to have to TRY to start thinking for her now. I’ve never had to do that, but… now what happened today scared me.

People here is a scary fact from American history : Right on up to the Civil War , as late as Fort Sumter , almost no one believed there would be war . I have read the private letters. Insiders , outsiders , North or South did not believe war was coming . The day after Fort Sumter President Davis wrote to a friend ” Thank God it is over .” Almost no one wanted war. No one anticipated the scale of the fighting carnage and destruction .

Camille Paglia, too?

The reaction from the Obama-loving mainstream press following their Messiah’s election has been fascinating. All of a sudden, we’re seeing people like Charlie Rose and Tom Brokaw admitting that they don’t know much about the president-elect or his worldview, Evan Thomas from Newsweek questioning a “slightly creepy cult of personality,” and the Washington Post actually acknowledging that the coverage in the paper was biased.

Now, Salon.com’s Camille Paglia went a little further and hit the proverbial nail right on the head (after, of course, lavishing praise on Barack and Michelle Obama). In the piece, she mentions the controversy surrounding Obama’s birth certificate, the media’s failure to address Obama’s connection with William Ayers until a few months before the election, and Sarah Palin as the possible new face of feminism in America.

Here’s a lengthy excerpt from her enjoyable column:

As I’ve watched Obama gracefully step up to podiums or move through crowds, I’ve been reminded not of basketball, with its feints and pivots, but of surfing, that art form of his native Hawaii. A photograph of Obama body surfing on vacation was widely publicized in August. But I’m talking about big-time competitive surfing, as in this stunning video tribute to the death-defying Laird Hamilton (who, like Obama, was raised fatherless in Hawaii). Obama’s ability to stay on his feet and outrun the most menacing waves that threaten to engulf him seems to embody the breezy, sunny spirit of the American surfer.

In the closing weeks of the election, however, I became increasingly disturbed by the mainstream media’s avoidance of forthright dealing with several controversies that had been dogging Obama — even as every flimsy rumor about Sarah Palin was being trumpeted as if it were engraved in stone on Mount Sinai. For example, I had thought for many months that the flap over Obama’s birth certificate was a tempest in a teapot. But simple questions about the certificate were never resolved to my satisfaction. Thanks to their own blathering, fanatical overkill, of course, the right-wing challenges to the birth certificate never gained traction.

But Obama could have ended the entire matter months ago by publicly requesting Hawaii to issue a fresh, long-form, stamped certificate and inviting a few high-profile reporters in to examine the document and photograph it. (The campaign did make the “short-form” certificate available to Factcheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania.) And why has Obama not made his university records or thesis work widely available? The passivity of the press toward Bush administration propaganda about weapons of mass destruction led the nation into the costly blunder of the Iraq war. We don’t need another presidency that finds it all too easy to rely on evasion or stonewalling. I deeply admire Obama, but as a voter I don’t like feeling gamed or played.

Another issue that I initially dismissed was the flap over William Ayers, the Chicago-based former member of the violent Weather Underground. Conservative radio host Sean Hannity began the drumbeat about Ayers’ association with Obama a year ago — a theme that most of the mainstream media refused to investigate or even report until this summer. I had never heard of Ayers and couldn’t have cared less. I was irritated by Hillary Clinton’s aggressive flagging of Ayers in a debate, and I accepted Obama’s curt dismissal of the issue.

Hence my concern about Ayers has been very slow in developing. The mainstream media should have fully explored the subject early this year and not allowed it to simmer and boil until it flared up ferociously in the last month of the campaign. Obama may not in recent years have been “pallin’ around” with Ayers, in Sarah Palin’s memorable line, but his past connections with Ayers do seem to have been more frequent and substantive than he has claimed. Blame for the failure of this issue to take hold must also accrue to the conservative talk shows, which use the scare term “radical” with simplistic sensationalism, blanketing everyone under the sun from scraggly ex-hippies to lipstick-chic Nancy Pelosi.

Pursuing the truth about Ayers, I recently rented the 2002 documentary “The Weather Underground,” from Netflix. It was riveting. Although the film seems to waver between ominous exposé and blatant whitewash, the full extent of the group’s bombing campaign is dramatically demonstrated. It’s not for everyone: The film uses gratuitous cutaways of horrifying carnage, from the Vietnam War to the Manson murders (such as Sharon Tate’s smiling corpse, bathed in blood). But the news footage of the Greenwich Village townhouse destroyed in 1970 by bomb-making gone wrong in the basement still has enormous impact. Standing in the chaotic street, actor Dustin Hoffman, who lived next door, seems like Everyman at the apocalypse.

Ayers comes off in the film as a vapid, slightly dopey, chronic juvenile with stunted powers of ethical reasoning. The real revelation is his wife, Bernardine Dohrn (who evidently worked at the same large Chicago law firm as Michelle Obama in the mid-1990s). Of course I had heard of Dohrn — hers was one of the most notorious names of our baby-boom generation — and I knew her black-and-white police mug shot. But I had never seen footage of her speaking or interacting with others. Well, it’s pretty obvious who wears the pants in that family!

The mystery of Bernardine Dohrn: How could such a personable, attractive, well-educated young woman end up saying such things at a 1969 political rally as this (omitted in the film) about the Manson murders: “Dig it. First they killed those pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them. They even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach. Wild!” And how could Dohrn have so ruthlessly pursued a decade-long crusade of hatred and terrorism against innocent American citizens and both private and public property?

“The Weather Underground” never searches for answers, but it does show Dohrn, then and now, as a poised, articulate woman of extremely high intelligence and surprising inwardness. The audio extra of her reading the collective’s first public communiqué (“Revolutionary violence is the only way”) is chilling. But the tumultuous footage of her 1980 surrender to federal authorities is a knockout. Mesmerized, I ran the clip six or seven times of her seated at a lawyer’s table while reading her still defiant statement. The sober scene — with Dohrn hyper-alert in a handsome turtleneck and tweedy jacket — was tailor-made for Jane Fonda in her “Klute” period, androgynous shag. Only illegalities by federal investigators prevented Dohrn from being put away on ice for a long, long time.

Given that Obama had served on a Chicago board with Ayers and approved funding of a leftist educational project sponsored by Ayers, one might think that the unrepentant Ayers-Dohrn couple might be of some interest to the national media. But no, reporters have been too busy playing mini-badminton with every random spitball about Sarah Palin, who has been subjected to an atrocious and at times delusional level of defamation merely because she has the temerity to hold pro-life views.

How dare Palin not embrace abortion as the ultimate civilized ideal of modern culture? How tacky that she speaks in a vivacious regional accent indistinguishable from that of Western Canada! How risible that she graduated from the University of Idaho and not one of those plush, pampered commodes of received opinion whose graduates, in their rush to believe the worst about her, have demonstrated that, when it comes to sifting evidence, they don’t know their asses from their elbows.

Liberal Democrats are going to wake up from their sadomasochistic, anti-Palin orgy with a very big hangover. The evil genie released during this sorry episode will not so easily go back into its bottle. A shocking level of irrational emotionalism and at times infantile rage was exposed at the heart of current Democratic ideology — contradicting Democratic core principles of compassion, tolerance and independent thought. One would have to look back to the Eisenhower 1950s for parallels to this grotesque lock-step parade of bourgeois provincialism, shallow groupthink and blind prejudice.

I like Sarah Palin, and I’ve heartily enjoyed her arrival on the national stage. As a career classroom teacher, I can see how smart she is — and quite frankly, I think the people who don’t see it are the stupid ones, wrapped in the fuzzy mummy-gauze of their own worn-out partisan dogma. So she doesn’t speak the King’s English — big whoop! There is a powerful clarity of consciousness in her eyes. She uses language with the jumps, breaks and rippling momentum of a be-bop saxophonist. I stand on what I said (as a staunch pro-choice advocate) in my last two columns — that Palin as a pro-life wife, mother and ambitious professional represents the next big shift in feminism. Pro-life women will save feminism by expanding it, particularly into the more traditional Third World.

As for the Democrats who sneered and howled that Palin was unprepared to be a vice-presidential nominee — what navel-gazing hypocrisy! What protests were raised in the party or mainstream media when John Edwards, with vastly less political experience than Palin, got John Kerry’s nod for veep four years ago? And Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas, for whom I lobbied to be Obama’s pick and who was on everyone’s short list for months, has a record indistinguishable from Palin’s. Whatever knowledge deficit Palin has about the federal bureaucracy or international affairs (outside the normal purview of governors) will hopefully be remedied during the next eight years of the Obama presidencies.

The U.S. Senate as a career option? What a claustrophobic, nitpicking comedown for an energetic Alaskan — nothing but droning committees and incestuous back-scratching. No, Sarah Palin should stick to her governorship and just hit the rubber-chicken circuit, as Richard Nixon did in his long haul back from political limbo following his California gubernatorial defeat in 1962. Step by step, the mainstream media will come around, wipe its own mud out of its eyes, and see Palin for the populist phenomenon that she is.

OMG!! I tonight’s local newspaper, homeowners are screaming about recent increases in their property tax assessments fron 25% to 150%. The economy is in recession, bordering on DEPRESSION, and home sales and values continue to drop significantly and they RAISE tax assessmentsa. No wonder so many people just scowl anymore!!!!

I keep saying~~~ a tax revolt is a viable countermeasure. The government needs money to survive, just like the people do, and what if we just keep our money in our own locales? Then Psychobama can come up with all the plans he wants, but I bet his campaign contributors quit coughing up the bucks.

There seems to be three different schemes for national service. The one for middle and high school children, then the one that Rahm Emanuel writes about below (for those between 18-25) and then Charlie Rangle’s National Service Bill (for those between 18-42) located here http://pumapac.org/forums/breaking-news/ posts 65-67.

Rep. Rahm Emanuel wants to force people 18 to 25
to labor for the government.Rep. Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, President-Elect Barack Obama’s choice for chief of staff in his incoming administration, is co-author of a book, The Plan: Big Ideas for America, that calls for, among other things, compulsory service for all Americans ages 18 to 25. The following excerpt is from pages 61-62 of the 2006 book:

“It’s time for a real Patriot Act that bring out the patriot in all of us. We propose universal civilian service for every young American. Under this plan, All Americans between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five will be asked to serve their country by going through three months of basic training, civil defense preparation and community service. …

Here’s how it would work. Young people will know that between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five, the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service. They’ll be asked to report for three months of basic civil defense training in their state or community, where they will learn what to do in the event of biochemical, nuclear or conventional attack; how to assist others in an evacuation; how to respond when a levee breaks or we’re hit by a natural disaster. These young people will be available to address their communities’ most pressing needs.”

Emanuel and co-author Bruce Reed insist “this is not a draft,” but go on to write of young men and women, “the nation will enlist them for three months of civilian service.” They also warn, “[s]ome Republicans will squeal about individual freedom,” ruling out any likelihood that they would let people opt out of universal citizen service.

As chief of staff, Emanuel will not be in a position to directly introduce public policy, but his enthusiasm for compulsory service, combined with Barack Obama’s own plan to require high school students to perform 50 hours of government-approved service, suggest an unfortunate direction for the new administration.

I have heard Murphy say yesterday, and again tonight on the radio that she doesn’t believe Obama is a Socialist or Hitler type leader.

I really know that is a very extreme reference but:

1. When someone has his type of mass single focus following (following him without question)
2. Is proposing the type of “Policies” he is proposing that could only steepen his followings identification with his THE ONE idealisms
3. Will implement an internet instantaneous “communication system” to his own mass – which the article clearly states will be designed to circumvent the media – which could also limit exposure to any media opposition to his communications of his policies (this also limits his exposure to older, marginalized citizens who do not get their communication through the internet.

This just doesn’t sound as inclusive and open as it may appear. In fact, such a internet communication network designed and controlled by him is quite targeted to his “followers” and could be used in an event to exclude or by-pass Mainstream Americans – outside the internet.

I have said this before: PUMAS mass audience to counter a leader having such unprecedented power and control are the ones that aren’t reading this post right now.

My concern is how would we counter such a powerful and rapid communication of an Obama Administration gone terrible awry, if our worst fears came true?

Sheri made the point tonight that the term being used more quite often by the transition team is “Rule” rather than “Lead” – which is also very disconcerting. I haven’t heard or noticed, myself yet, but I will be listening.

…just sayin

Tgings are getting worse fast.
I was talking with a “backwater ” farmer out here and the government enviromentalists have now set up shop trying to put them out of business under “enviromental protection” concerns. For those who don’t know backwater farmers are small farmers who irrigate their farms from free flowing rivers.
They have never caused a problem.

Hi Pumas,
I just sent this message:

Well, well,
Looks to me as if the American consumer is screwed again. We get to provide all of the 700 billion bailout but, homeowners (many who were rooked and taken advantage of) by lenders won’t get any assistance to keep their homes.
Not to worry, auto industries; banks (you know, the ones that gambled out taxpayer money away in the first place) and credit card companies (the ones that extended credit to ineligible borrowers) will get rewarded for their bad behavior.
I have some bad news for you…we citizens aren’t nearly as stupid as you would like to think. We know that either A.) The housing bust is sooo big that you can’t possibly cover it or B.) You don’t give a damn about any of the American citizens that are affected by your screw ups.
Oh, and by the way, I am below the poverty level and a Palin supporter…go figure.
We are watching and don’t like what we see.

No regard,

Hi Pumas,
Sent a letter to Bill Oreilly:
———————————————————————–
Hi Bill,

We Pumas stood up (and still do) for Sarah Palin. We are men and women of moderate persuasion that know both the Left and the Right fear her. She is smart, successful and she is Real.
There was no corruption or dirt they could find so they manufactured some.
You see Bill, if anyone like Sarah Palin were to be successful in Washington…why then at least 90% of them would be out of work!
The corrupt would have to go, the lobbyists would have to go, the special interests would be out, anyone against the American people would be toast, elected officials would actually have to do their job…the list does go on and on but, I’m tired now. You get the picture.
Stand up for her Bill, there has been no one like her in many many decades. She is a maverick in the truest sense of the word and what we now have in Washington is terrified of her.
No one but us will speak for her. We are the American citizens. Will you join us and be a part of history that ultimately sees our constitution restored to it’s full glory? The American people restored to power? You have made your money all these years, who do you stand with, really??
Think about it.

Best regards,

90

murphy 11.12.08 at 9:51 pm

that’s sort of like asking me to say why I dont think George Bush is a Hitler-type.

There is very little in obama’s actual history, writing, or experience that is similar to Hitler’s.

Hitler wrote Mein Kampf from a prison cell when he was 36 years old. He was in prison for his part in an attempted violent coup. His book, part autobiography and part political treatise is straightforward and radical. He calls communism and judaism the greatest evils and threats to western europe. He was unabashedly bloody minded and violence advocating.

He was a decorated veteran of WWI and rose to the top of his party as a blatant anti-semite and anti-communist.

Honestly, what in Hitler’s resume or pre World War II biography parallel in ANY way with obama?

obama is a chicago HACK who wrote two smarmy feel-good Hallmark books, NOTHING whatsoever like mein kampf. Hitler created and bludgeoned his people with propaganda, but HE HIMSELF was the real deal. Hitler was a MANIACAL EVIL GENIUS.

barack obama is part of the scenery. obama IS the propaganda. he’s not the MASTER of the propaganda.

name three significant parallels between obama and hitler.

feeling afraid of an obama presidency makes sense to me.
feeling afraid of the state of our country makes sense to me.

I’m also afraid.

but being afraid of obama does not translate into HE IS LIKE HITLER.

HOW is he like Hitler?
what has he actually DONE that makes him like Hitler?

Murphy,
The times have changed, No one could come to power today using Hitlers rants.
However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t “hitlers” looking to gain power.
So far. we have seen “O” use fraud, intimidation, race baiting , questionable fund raising, support FISA, support creating his own “security force” his own legal system to “deal with terrorists” and he has spent his life associating with some of the most anti-American people in our country.
Including a terrorist bomber.

Well the way I see it, there is a battle going on right now that concerned citizens need to make sure, that the two republicans that won the elections get to go to Washington

The Democratic candidates are exercising a recount which is fine, but so far Franken with his crooked recount is trying to steal that election. Imagine someone had 300 votes in their truck and they are going to allow those ballots in the recount? Please!

How to prevent the 60 senate majority, you can make sure these two republicans get into the government to prevent Obama and his crew to have complete control over parliament.

Murphy,

Same here … I agree with GoPUMAGo! I feel as though BO has NUMEROUS characteristics of a “Hitler type”/Socialist person.
These reasons I feel this way are as follows:
1. Obama like to create a cult-like following
2. They OB/Hilter presents himself as an agent of “Change”
3.They convince everyone that things are terrible and need drastic change; whereby THEY are the only agent of change!
4. They are charismatic and are great speakers
5. BOTH Hilter and Obama wrote autobiographies about themselves when they were nobody
6. Their speeches DO NOT inform, they elevate! (Screaming fainting ETC..)
7. Their admirers do NOT see them as politicians … but HOLY!
8. Both are characterixed a NARISSISTIC and MANIPULATIVE
9. Devoid of empthy (CAN write people off easily when they are no longer needed)
10. Magical thinking -BO sees himself as President before he elected

— I could continue on and on, but I am sure you see what I am talking about. Please explain how you see him differently. I did not bother to explain the socialist policies!

I’m just not that worried about Obama. After all, he’s still just another human being and we’ve been proving how inept we are as a species, for thousands of years.
For the most part, it is g-ddamned media that keeps us uptight. If they told us how wonderful everything is all the time, we would get bored and not pay any attention to them. I would suggest that we get bored with being stirred up by them all the time and not pay any attention to them now.
I’ve had my TV off since 2 days before the election and it’s amazing how much more calm I feel. I’m getting to the point where I basically don’t even give a shit what they are saying. Life is too short and no one is promised tomorrow. If this is my last day living, i just sure as hell don’t want to spend it bitching about some megalomaniac half-breed who thinks he’s the second coming of Christ.
No man, including Adolph Hitler, has any more power than the PEOPLE give him.
And, believe me, there are a wole lot of people NOT giving him the power the frickin MEDIA would have us believing he has!!!

In this past week, on every show I listened to, there have been at least one Obama caller phone in. Wonder if they are love bombing.

He can just keep talking chit while I’m hoeing another row. Or skinning out a deer.

I love the idea of national service. I think it would provide a tremendous opportunity for young people (anyone really) to meet new people and to expand their knowledge about our country and how other Americans live. Practical life lessons beyond book learning. And of course, there are many people in need in this country who would benefit from such programs. Teaching, habitat for humanity, elder care, forest preservation, what have you – I think it is empowering for all who participate. I fully support the idea of a national service program. As Mark Twain said, “Travel is fatal to bigotry and narrow-mindedness.” That includes travel within our own borders.

109

murphy 11.12.08 at 10:07 pm

there very well may be some hitlers-in-the-making out there looking to gain power.

so far there is pretty much zero EVIDENCE that obama is one of them.

yes, I agree — it is SHOCKING to me that a candidate with so many anti-american associates was elected in this country and mesmerized the SCFP into submission.

it’s one of the reasons i am extremely wary and skeptical of obama.

but again, that doesnt equal HITLER. Most of Hitler’s associates and allies were rabidly PRO-GERMANY. not anti-germany.

and for the record, I dont believe Hitler’s speeches and books were mere “rants.” I believe he MEANT every single insane thing that he said.

obama is a liar, a panderer, a weakling, and an effete.

hitler said exactly what he meant. He was a monster and a terrifying presence. He was a LEADER (in a brutal, evil way, but he WAS a leader). obama is NO leader. Hitler said EXACTLY what he was going to do. and then he did it.

Stock up on food. Find alternatives to electric energy such as lights. Plan activities that don’t require transportation by automobiles that depend on oil and gas. Remember that people survived for thousands of years without cars, and Tv’s and telephones and all. It might take some getting used to, but it’s still not the end of the world.
When you hear a loud noise, see a flash, and look up in the sky and see mushrooms growing there instead of in the ground~~~THEN WORRY!!!!

CArpathia has said EXACTLY what he is going to do and he plans on doing it.
He has also said he will be making extensive use of executive orders.
It all boils down to what you think his moral basis is.
Personally, I believe he is a power hungry fanatic.
He has shown a willingness to lie cheat and steal his way into power.
He isnt “ruthless”. “O” is dispassionate. He could not care less about who or what he destroys in his quest for power.
What makes you think he won’t use every means possible to achieve his ends?
If he was a decent individual PUMA would not exist. He would have lost the primaries fair and square.
I have always considered the character of a person the single most important aspect of a leader. NO leader can institute all their policies. The system just isnt set up that way.
The question is always, will they be true to their principles and try and get things done for the common good?
I’m sure “O” will be true to his principles. THATS whats scary.

124

sue66 11.12.08 at 10:18 pm

mountainsong I think you are great!
We get laughed at for having a survival closet. We took one closet and filled it with water, camping stoves, lamps and heaters. Naphtha is stored in a locked shed. We purchase “rat packs” at surplus stores and have a lot of canned and dehydrated goods. A while back we had a water emergency and people stopped laughing at us long enough to get some water from us.
I see nothing wrong with being prepared. We actually travel with it. The thing we had the hardest time finding were cloth diapers. I will not stockpile pampers for our grandbaby, she will live with cloth if it comes down to that.

*********************************************

Isn’t that sweet Scarlet that these Obama supporters want people to be nicer and quit being so mean? LOL
Well Scarlet, you heard what Obama said, and I am now paraphrasing ( his policies will only work if you help him, his policies will work only from the bottom up and you know who all the bottom up people are, the poor and middle class..
And that of course, means if you do not help him, he will FAIL. That is all part of the defiance.

OR he’s going to try to do alot of things really quick, and find out it can’t be done and quicker than anyone else could.
Some things take congressional approval. And even exexcutive orders require compliance of the people to be effective.
Paulson and Bernanke are just standing around with their thumbs up their asses trying to look intelligent and not doing anything.
Pelosi has just gone over the edge. She’s a very rich woman in need of serious psychotherapy. Frank is too busy looking for lover’s to do anything resembling working for his pay.
It’s gonna take at least 4 years for BO & MO to come down off their massive ego trips long enought to even decorate the White House with any decorum.
American politics has always been a bad joke, supported by those who do an honest day’s labor, for an honest day’s pay and support the bullshit loafers in Washington with tax dollars we’d rather spend on our children.

Not yet. However, remember that everything , for the most part,is just talk right now.
When Carpathia sends his “civilian security force ” idea to congress we will know for sure which way the wind is blowing and who, if anyone will oppose him.
You can’t expect any democrat to openly oppose “O” right now.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I cannot know what obama has planned or if he has anything planned similar to Hitler in terms of Epic Evilness.

But honestly, how do YOU know that Hillary Clinton would have been “playing it cool until she has set the stage to do just those things” Hitler did.

Hitler was pretty freaking UP FRONT about what he believed and what he planned to do.

There MUST be some CONCRETE evidence that obama is hitler-like in order for the accusation to make any sense.

feeling scared of him may be justified. LOTS of people were scared of GWB when he was handed the presidency in 2000.

but why on earth would anyone say that obama is like HITLER??

seriously.

Hitler was a raging anti-semitic, rabidly nationalistic, war-mongering, thundering FORCE OF NATURE.

The only thing I could argue on these points is this.

We know Hitler… If Obama has such designs… too many would have recognized and there is no way he would have been elected.

Obama is more like a Castro – Obscure, Doublespeak, Savior.

The disconcerting part is how many of his followers are not as in tune with or as closely related to the era of Hitler. I’m not sure they hear the similarities to the Marxist ideologies that he likes to drop here and there – maybe to impress Ayers – who knows.

Nevertheless, he ran his whole campaign on making sure no one knew where he was coming from… “I’ll be whatever they want me to be” remember? Well, when is that going to bite him in the ass? Or, did he know all along – what he planned on doing when he got here and knew he could tell the world – or he wouldn’t get here?

snow #139 — eaxacto-MUNDO!

my theory is that with GWB (who is MUCH more similar to obama than hitler ever will be) he had many anti-american forces pulling his strings: global corporate interests, global oil and gas interests, and international military industrial complex types.

I think obama is scarily similar, only this time around the puppet strings have changed hands (somewhat).

Those are the questions that keep me awake.

what IS underneath him?

who IS behind him?

who IS pulling his strings.

who IS pulling the strings?

My further theory is that Hillary and McCain were much freer, much less tied to puppet strings and that explains their “losing” to the Chosen One.

First keep in mind, I do NOT see Obama as Hitler. I am just playing along.

Hitler wasn’t really upfront about his master plans. It took years for him to really get people in the swing of things. It took time. Also, the nazis were national socialists. Maybe Obama wants the nation he wants and he will demand such nationalism for the “changed” nation. Who knows. Hitler used propaganda. I consider O-media, etc to be modern day propaganda. Hitler and crew were heavy into symbolism, so is O and crew. Hitler energized the youth, so has Obama. Hitler would draw in large crowds and mesmerize the crowds, same with O. Hitler has issues with jews, and I have no doubt in my mind that O is anti-Israel. The nazi movement stuck to simple slogans they would repeat over and over–same as Obama. Oh, and they both gave a speech at the Victory Column in Berlin. lol..

I think what people mean when they compare Obama to Hitler is not necessarily the actual politics, but mainly the movement, and a glimmer of fascism and totalitarianism. People can feel it.

(Oh, and murphy, O’s books were not hallmark. Pretty racist stuff in there.)

BUT, like I am saying, I am just playing along. I do not see Obama as Hitler, but I wouldn’t doubt that he and others have studied ALL leaders to find out what worked for each.

Sly2, the one thing that helps me when I get that type of sinus headache is my hair dryer. I place my hair dryer on the low heat, place the dryer under my nose and breath in slowly, the warmth drys up the sinus and relaxes the tension in my eyes. It may help, give it a try.//

I’m a proselytizer for the Wonder Liquid, Glycerin. Amongst its many miraculous qualities is that it is intensely hygroscopic plus very active in reducing swelling and inflammation.

Rub a bit inside each nostril; it will loosen any congestion, and simultaneously settle down swollen passages. Repeat as necessary; no side effects.

Glycerin USP from drugstores, or Vegetable Glycerin from health food/supplement stores.

Totally non-toxic, used in ice cream and raisins and toothpaste, works on any skin lesion or injury or rash (including psoriasis), a sip kills (instantly) all mouth bacteria by dehydration, including those causing halitosis, etc., etc.

What a clever answer… I can’t believe they are asking kids for their opinions. I am telling you when these kids grow up in 8 years, they will find NOTHING wrong with Obama and his teachings because it would be old hat.. stuff they grew up with. Nothing to be alarmed about Mom, or I would have to turn you in for saying bad things about my leader.//
==========
Actually, asking them for their opinions isn’t the problem. TELLING them what their opinions are IS. The conclusion of the little essay is given in advance, and it’s a tenditious and argumentative and highly politicized one. This has NO PLACE in schools. They are not there to form and enforce opinions, especially about currently active politicians!

I don’t think anyone in any position of authority has the slightest clue what to do.
Twenty years ago, the leading economists warned that if the US economy particularly, and world economy generally, did not voluntarily deflate, we would face certain Destitution within 20 years at most.(Which would be NOW)
To deflate then would have cause a great amount of discomfort and adjustments. Assets would be devalued, but the economy would correct and disaster would be averted.
But to continue trying to stem a massive hemmorhage with bandaids would lead to totally disaster.
Of course, every american with a third grade education and overblown sense of self-worth KNOWS a bandaid is cheaper than open heart surgery. Which as brought us to this point we find ourselves now!
I think it’s intersting how many Islamic countrys are solvent. They do not believe in interest-bearing economics. If you borrow a dollar there, you only repay a dollar. Here, people try to keep up with interest payments, hoping they will die before they have to repay the principle, and their economy dies instead.
I’m not saying I support Islam in any way. but change IS coming to America. Those people, and I believe they are the ones behind Obama, HAVE money and we do not.
They don’t conduct business on credit. Just like my grandfather.
I asked him, once, when I was small to tell me what red, black, and blue meant.
He said, “If you owe someone else money, and don’t have any money of your own, you are in the red (where America is today). If you have a little bit of money and are paying what you owe, you are in the ‘black’. (Repaying loans is not the american way;that’s why we are the greatest debtor nation on earth, now)Then, he siad, if you have a dime in your pocket, and don’t owe anyone anything, you are richer than all the rest and don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise).

Well Murphy, Obama does not have to have the same desires as Hitler did (elimination of the Jews, Gays, gypsies et.al) nor the same life style, but Obama’s goals may be Hitleresque

Obama’s purpose may be to bring about the fall of capitalism and open the democratic door ,to the onslaught of the Muslims, who swear they will dominate the west and put an end to the Christian infidels.
That is a form of elimination perhaps without murder perhaps more by war, which is a form of murder….

I say this to protect us from giving in to paralyzing or unecessary fear.

Interested in a real Rant about Rahm? Here’s Pat Dollard’s experience.

Let me tell you right now, no exaggeration, Rahm Emanuel is the devil. He is literally, literally, a Goebbel’s, a Mengele… a perfect Cromwell, who would, without the faintest evidence of hesitation washing across his face for even a trillisecond, order and even personally execute each and every human being he or Obama perceived to be an enemy of the Regime. And if you ever personally offended him, and he had the opportunity to kill you, he would probably do it by starting with your children as you were made to watch. He is a bad guy.

And as for Joe Biden, did you know he’s a Friend Of The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps?

Kaveh Mohseni, a spokesman for the Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran, calls Biden “a great friend of the mullahs.”

He notes that Biden’s election campaigns “have been financed by Islamic charities of the Iranian regime based in California and by the Silicon Iran network,” a loosely-knit group of wealthy Iranian-American businessmen and women seeking to end the U.S. trade embargo on Iran.

“In exchange, the senator does his best to aid the mullahs,” Mohseni argues.

Biden’s ties to pro-Tehran lobbying groups are no secret. But so far, the elite media has avoided even mentioning the subject.

Just recently, Biden was one of 16 U.S. senators who voted against a bill that would add Iran’s Revolutionary Guards corps to the State Department’s list of international terrorist organizations, because of its involvement in murdering U.S. troops in Iraq.

Rather than sanction those in power in Tehran, Biden and Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel have argued that the United States should offer Tehran a greater role in Iraq’s domestic affairs.

Pelosi ♥ Assad, Biden ♥ Ahmadinejad, O’Hubris ♥ Odinga (and many more).

Ain’t we got fun? :x

See, people still say Hitler, but really, it can be any leader that rose up to have a scary amount of control over the people. There have been plenty of leaders who can even be compared to Hitler. Like, the majority of things I mentioned in my #168 post.

What do you do when the puppet knows he’s a puppet and cuts the strings? What if his ideology is in tune with the puppet master and so they choreograph the skits together? O has a lot of different people behind him, wackjob radicals, to conservative republicans–all the way to billionaires and foreign leaders. I don’t think there is really a Zeus or anything working behind the scenes. There are several of them. It would be sort of interesting if Obama turned the table on everyone. He’ll have to flip on someone, can’t promise every person everything. Course, that means revenge for the one/s who gets stiffed.

I think we have, pretty much always had a war-based economy.
The Arabs are aware of this and that they cannot possibly win against us militarily.
But, in 1973, they fired a financial shot across our bow, when they raised the price of a barrel of oil by $1.00. Our economy has never recovered. It sent everything into an ever upward inflationary spiral from which we cannot recover, unless we deflate.
It’s financial warfare they have declared.
They are winning in Europe, have established a strong foothold in Great Britain and they are already here in America.
Which is why I so strongly believe we must not pay attention to the media but go back to the self-sustaining methods of survival, no matter how frugal. Without miltary might, all their money is not an efficient weapon against America’s rugged independence, and ability to endure hardship for the love of family and country.
But…it’s always a choice and there will be those who are unwilling to give up their creature comforts and luxuries, who will sell out the rest of us…if we let them.

Camille Paglia, too?//
=========
A gradual partial awakening, there, but I’m less than deeply impressed. The value of her sniffing discounting of the “right-wing” alarmism about Ayers and the BC issue etc. can be judged by her attitude and position before some things began to sink in: irritated ignorance, didn’t want to be distracted from admiring O’Hubris.

She has quite a few surprises and twinges of cognitive dissonance to work through yet, I wot!

Wait, what? Proof? It’s Obama. It’s the man and his entire background. All of his family; white maternal, and black extended, and Indonesian step, and African blood: all radical. These are dozens of people: all radical. Throw in 20 + years of black liberation theology: radical. New Party & all the organizations Obama worked for: radical. Obama’s closest associates that have lasted for decades: radical.

Obama’s hodgepodge background is marxist/ socialist/ anti-capitalism/ anti-Israel/ anti-white/ communist/ anti-American/ pro-Islam, and there’s no way around it. There’s nothing else. It is what it is.

My 2 cents on the subject Hitler/Obie/GWB

My ex is a German that talked about WWII until he drove me nuts. One thing I got out of all the conversations on Hitler was that he did ‘care’ about the German people. Long story made short, Germans after being in many wars owed all their countries earnings to France and other countries as payback. The Germans felt that their futures were always to pay back for their wars…they could never bring up their national debt nor pride. Hitler comes along, said all the right things, said he was going to fix things to make Germany a great country again, bring their economy back up, pride back up…………the people loved it. Yea, he wrote a book, didn’t like the Jewish people, but everyone pushed it out of their minds for the common good, so to speak.
In that sense, Obama is the silver tongued devil as Hilter was. Hitler also built up his personal army, the youth…ratting on their parents as little spies.
In this sense, Obama is much worse than pure empty words. With Obamas close associates in the DNC, Chicago and beyond he has the people that either are pulling his strings……………..or……………….he is playing to get what he wants. Top banana.
He is like George W. in that he is not a leader, not wise, and his ego trumps reason.
Like George, he will make massive mistakes because he is given power that he has not earned nor handles wisely.
Money has changed hands for deals, the money comes from the sweat of the American people.
Look at the damage George has done in 8 years, economy is in the dumper…we can not as a nation afford another 8 years of someone so ill equipped having such power over so many millions of people in the world.
He is dangerous because he is not wise and he can’t control his own ego.

GoPumaGo: You know Go, It just chokes me to go there, myself (to call him “a Hitler-type”. It is just so damned haed to believe that out fricking Democratic party has even place us and our country in this position of even having to watch the fricking, maniacal fuchtard so damned closely for the signs – because he is so close to the edge of such a possibility! That’s how I REALLY feel!
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +

The REAL REASON is ALWAYS the Spiritual Reason and not the Worldly Reason for everything. Once you are AWAKE you will always be seeing the Spiritual Reason. That is what being Awake is all about.

Unfortunately our condemnation of Hitler being guilt in ourself we must now have our guilt play out so as to give us the opportunity to forgive Hitler. Of course we are all ONE and therefore when we forgive Hitler we are really forgiving ourself.

That is the nut of the problem that we now face. I hope we can put off what is now playing out for another century. Unfortunately it seems to be coming NOW. So get ready to watch the HITLER USA in action and be ready to FORGIVE FORGIVE FORGIVE.

We must get on our hands and knees and pray like we never prayed before. we must really deeply feel the words. We must beg god to help us. to show us the way. to guide us to FORGIVE FORGIVE FORGIVE. Because what we are about to see is our deep inner guilt and it will be super painful. The pain will be so deep that even athiests will beg god without even realizing they are talking to god. It will feel like our entire body and being is exploding or about to explode.

But remember this is your saving grace. The guilt is ours as a nation. we as individuals do not have to partake of the the guilt if we FORGIVE. For in forgiving others we wind up forgiving ourself and the guilt goes away. remember others and ourself are ONE.

You will know you have succeeded when you experience LOVE. Love is the absence of judgement. love is acceptance. love is the absence of guilt. when we love we know we are not guilty and we know others are not guilty. We judge no one and we come to love everyone. And when we love everyone we completely love ourself.

The purpose of life is to love ourself. which you see is the same thing as loving everyone.

Peace be unto you,

#210 mountainsong,

Oh, but Iraq was ALL about oil. The following article is about the purchase of oil rights in the Kurdish region of Iraq by Texas billionaire, Ray Hunt ( a Bush friend) in 2007 and Kucinich’s attempt to do something about it. I found out about this and wrote to Pelosi to demand an investigation because this was causing problems with the central Iraqi Government’s attempt to reach an accord on oil with it’s three major factions and therefore prolonging the war. She never even sent me an auto-reply, that’s when I became convinced she was nothing but a crook. For more info, Google Ray Hunt and Iraqi oil rights.

Kucinich: Privatization of Iraqi Oil—Spoils of War to Bush Ally?

Posted September 19, 2007.

Editor’s note: The following is a press release from the office of Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 18, 2007) — Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is seeking answers in the Administration’s involvement in an Iraqi oil deal that appears to benefit a large Republican donor and ally of President Bush and Vice President Cheney.

The recent oil deal between the U.S.-based Hunt Oil Company and the Kurdistan Regional Government raises questions, since Hunt Oil, a privately held oil company based in Texas and its founder, Ray Hunt, have close ties to Vice President Cheney and are large donors to President Bush. The deal also appears to undercut the goal of oil revenue sharing but is predictably consistent with the Administration’s attempt to privatize Iraqi oil assets. Both Hunt Oil Company and Kurdistan are strong allies with the Bush Administration.

“As I have said for five years, this war is about oil. The Bush Administration desires private control of Iraqi oil, but we have no right to force Iraq to give up their oil. We have no right to set preconditions for Iraq which lead Iraq to giving up control of their oil. The Constitution of Iraq designates that the oil of Iraq is the property of all Iraqi people,” Kucinich said.

Kucinich is calling for a Congressional investigation to determine the role the Administration may have played in the Hunt-Kurdistan deal, the effect the deal could have on the oil revenue sharing plan and the attempt by the Administration to privatize Iraqi oil.
