I think the most important thing to do is to NOT write a book, but start a cheap, easily accessed paper based magazine and distribute it to all local stores for free. We can use donations and ads to pay for it. It is actually not that expensive, the hardest thing is finding a printer. Most newspapers will do this for us when their printer is not in operation for a nominal price. A few of us with time can get a program on our computer such as Publisher, throw in the stories, captions, and ads... then paste it on newspaper block and send it to the printer. The printer will then give it back and the people can ship it to designated people in every large town to put it in groceries and places were people are most likely to pick up something FREE to read.

This way the "watch dog" approach is quicker to point out new Obama problems, and will reach more people easier then books or blogs. I've done this before with a little newspaper down on South Padre Island. I don't have time to do it, but I can help distribute afterwards.

What do you think?

49 HP Boston
I've said it before and it is worth repeating: Obama's TOP priority is to begin machinations to fix the 2012 election using an expanded, "all of the above" plan for voter fraud. Once that is in motion, on to other things.

Am I On the Wrong Site?

I've spent most of my political life working for progressive change. I am attracted to this site because of all the "PUMA" places on the web, this seems to be the one populated by progressives, rather than Republicans who, for whatever reason I can't imagine, supported Hillary.

I should say upfront that I supported Kucinich at the beginning (see, I told you I was progressive -- I support candidates who have no chance of winning.) Obviously Barack was not my first choice but he has been elected and I don't want to spend the next four years yelling into the wind.

I WANT to spend that time working to make the Democratic party more responsive to progressive/liberal agendas and it would be a plus if those values could be voiced by and legislated through female candidates. (As you can see, I was NO fan of Palin.)

So my question is -- is this the right site to pursue this? I absolutely don't want to crash any party to which I am not invited and I absolutely don't want to piss off anybody here who has obviously invested more time, energy and money to their cause.

If I need to go somewhere else, please let me know. I am NOT sitting in judgment on anybody on this site ... but I don't want to join a site with goals that are not the same as mine.

Thanks.

alohapuma said: We are not brimming with resources. Let’s get real about wher we can have the greatest impact with our time and money right now.
===============

Someone had a good point about focusing on things that help EVERYONE, not just one or another special group. Also, let's work on things that don't already have specialized groups working for them.

Fair news reporting -- and honesty in campaigning. No one else seems to put honesty and democratic process first, character before policy. Keeping sexism out of campaigns. Making politics safer for women like Hillary and SArah.

Dems, GOP, and Inds coming TOGETHER to work on these priorities. Party second or no party.

And for means, as I keep saying, establishing some on-going news sources is a better investment than for example full page ads about one-shot issues.

Thanks for helping me find the right videos at Gretawire.

Sarah is really great, I see why people say she is brilliant. It's her gestures and her eye contact with the interviewer, and when she stops to think and it looks like she's speaking without disguising her thoughts....

Reminds me a lot of Hillary. Like when someone asked about the media trying to get Hillary to quit, and Hillary kept saying "I don't know why they're doing that, it's unprecedented...." Sarah had the same puzzlement about the media's treatment and the crazy rumors etc.

I honestly am not interested in racial and/or sexual orientatioin distinctions anymore. I think we should focus on media bias and sexism (including all races) at this point.</i>

Racism, sexism/misogyny, homophobia. It's all part of the same thing: the right for all people to be treated decently, treated equally, treated like human beings.

I don't get it. Everyone says this is a war, but no one suggests how to fight it.

I would like to post a comment for everyone to consider...it has been mentioned that we do not want the republicans help. I would like to point out, that being specific here might clarify.
We may not want the "NEOCONS in the House's" help but, there are millions of Americans that are republican and very dissatisfied with the direction of their party. This is an American movement and would benefit greatly from the citizen republicans help as well as MODERATE higer ups.
We have overwhelming odds at the moment in trying to bring the government of the people back to full health and everyone is needed.
I would also suggest the NRA. You don't have to agree in particulars to agree in principal. Surely, we can all agree on COUNTRY FIRST?
Everyone on deck!!! This is war!! A war of the people, by the people and for the people!
