Hi PUMAs
On the topic of a 3rd party, I was also thinking that PUMAs are current/former dems, repubs, independents.
I think we can rightfully claim to say “I am from the PUMA wing of your party” or alternately “You are from the dem wing of the PUMA party”

1. Have a strong PUMA appear on the view and on Oprah and let them have it…
2. Train PUMA’s for office.
3. Create PUMA chapters in all states to become stronger.
4. Create an Acorn type organization and hit the government up for funds.
5. Shut down ACORN.
6. Create a PARTY of our own.
7. Create PUMA advocate groups

#23 TXRepGir: The report appears to indicate that Hussein had massive amounts of uranium underground and that he was in the process of acquiring more; but it does not specifies if Hussein got into the design/development of nuclear weapons. Thus, the fact that the government maintained this findings sealed for so long it proves the finding was a real threat. Additionally, this statement appears to give weight to Pres Bush’s stance “A CIA officer, Valerie Plame, claimed her identity was leaked to journalists to retaliate against her husband, former Ambassador Joe Wilson, who wrote that he had found no evidence to support assertions that Iraq tried to buy additional yellowcake from Niger.

Rabblerouser #25. I know how you feel. I spent two days with a lump in my stomach. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I’ve read the books like 1984 and Animal Farm. I know where this stuff leads. Then I realized that this could take me down just like the announcement of the closing of Canon Air Force Base (which ended up staying open) caused my brother to spiral into a depression he couldn’t beat which ended in him hanging himself last March.
That wasn’t cool either, and I recognized many of the same signs in me in the last two days that he dealt with early on. That’s why I had to find a way to get this thing arrested and stopped before it took me down a place I really did not want to go.
My first step was prayer. If you pray in any way, shape or form, START. You’ve got to get those horrible thoughts drowned out. For me it was the Rosary over and over again. I also sang “Amazing Grace” to myself at night to get the thoughts to stop.
The next step was to get busy doing things, but in small increments. I cleaned the house. I picked up five things (praying the whole time). Then I picked up six things. I made myself move and take control of something.
I also made myself eat. Small amounts. Soup at first and then more. I played music. Soft, relaxing music (and then the “I Get Knocked Down” song at full volume). Gradually, the deep scary depression started to subside.
I beg you, PUMAs, if you are dealing with this like I did, take some of these strategies and try them.
And for the love of God and goodness, shut off that TV! Do not let them take you further down that road. Find a good movie or a good book to read. Rest but don’t use sleep as an escape. That can be dangerous too.
The truth is that all of this is from Satan, and if he can take you out using this, he will in a heartbeat. Don’t let him.
Yes, I still have those moments when the fear creeps back up on me, and those thoughts of “How bad will this get?” start streaming through my mind. But when they do, I counter-program with prayer and singing. I will do what I can control. I will prepare as much as I can. Beyond that, God’s going to have to take care of it.

As to the yellow cake story and the “set up”… I just meant that the media harped on this over and over and over, telling us that Bush was a liar, there were no WMD’s, we should never have gone into Iraq. They pushed a narrative on this that dragged the public’s opinion of the war into the toilet and Bush’s approval as well. Then O tied McCain to Bush, and said, “We need CHANGE! We need CHANGE! We need HOPE! We don’t need four more years of BUSH!”
And the sheeple believed him because they believed (as they had been told over and over again that Bush was a liar, there were never WMD’s in Iraq). So they voted O in, and now we find out, lo and behold, Bush DIDN’T lie, there WERE WMD’s or at least the stuff to make them…
You know, the more I look at all of this, I blame the MEDIA more than ANYBODY!
airforcehusker 11.06.08 at 10:40 pm
Interesting thing i just thought. If bush new about the wmds and did everything he could to keep these secret in regards to the safety of the american people. They’re ALREADY setting the stage to excuse the stupidity we know he will perpertrate. Hasn’t even been sworn in and they’re trying to influence the historical perspective of his administration. UNBELIEVABLE!

I’ve come to the conclusion that America gets the President she deserves. When Americans didn’t protest the stolen elections of 2000 and 2004, they accepted Bush, and by voting for Obama, they gave consent to the Pretender to the Throne.
Personally I’m looking foprward to asking people if they like the “CHANGES” they get, and if they get upset, tell them to just chant “yes we can”.

The reason most third parties do not survive is that they are built around one person or idea. When that person is no longer interested, like Perot, the party dies. The parties built on just one thing, like environmental advocacy or the narrow agenda of the libertarian party, the masses do not go there.
To be viable there has to be a broad based agenda, a coalition of more than one person or organization doing the party building, and perseverence.

A third viable party would be wonderful. The needs to be more accountability and only having two parties isnt doing it. The problem is you sort of have two wackjob parties. Nadar and bob barr this time. I am a libertarian at heart but dont believe for a second there is a voice out there. I think and maybe we lost our opportunity but Ross Perot for all his faults back in 1992 had a chance to build a viable third party but somehow he blew it in the end.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/nov/04/treasury-submits-to-shariah/
It talks about how Britain was pushed into allowing Shariah law, and how we are headed down the same path- all because of debt to the Middle East. This is important to learn about- we can’t allow women to be subjected to Shariah Law in this country.

thanks so much for posting some math regarding the election. I want to pour through the math at some point. Rush said today that the “young voter” turnout was less than 2004 and that the “excited young voter” was a media created myth.
I know when I went to the Young Dems national convention in 2005 that they were excited because the young voter turnout was higher than 2000 and in 2006 the young voter turnout was higher than 02.

I think that’s oversimplifying things. In my opinion the biggest mistake the media made and biggest betrayal to the American people was in its quiet acceptance of everything Bush & cronies said about the “need” to invade Iraq. Even foreign correspondent Christianna Amanpour – CNN??? – admitted in an interview that in hindsight the media had made a big mistake, she said “we self-censored” when the US invaded Iraq.
My assessment of the MSM is, they self-censored about Iraq, then they went the other direction and jumped into bed with OBAMA.

I learned one other VERY important lesson during that time: Be very gentle with yourself. Pushing and forcing and should do not help. This has been a really emotional week, and snapping back or getting over it may never fully come (and I’m not sure they should as some very basic things we all took for granted suddenly were not as real and as solid as we thought they were). Together we can work to make it solid again, and I think that has to start three places:
The classroom
The media
The offices we choose to run for.

At sea, the league was most often equal to 3 nautical miles, which is 1/20 degree
fathom (fth or fath)
a traditional unit of distance equal to 2 yards or 6 feet (approximately 1.829 meters). The word comes from the Old English fæthm, meaning “outstretched arms”, because a fathom is the distance between a man’s outstretched fingertips. This is a generic unit that has been used in many cultures since ancient times. Other versions include the Spanish braza, the French brasse and toise, the German klafter, the Danish favn (6.18 feet or 1.88 meters), the Swedish famn (5.84 feet or 1.78 meters) and the Japanese ken. In England, the fathom was a common unit during Saxon times, and it continued to be used for many purposes through the medieval era. In fact, the length of the foot may have been defined, early in the twelfth century, specifically to assure that 1 foot = exactly 1/6 fathom. Today the fathom is used almost exclusively at sea, measuring water depth, the length of ships’ cables, etc.

I wont guarantee that but i can tell you that mountain lions or pumas are very private creatures. They normally dont scent areas persay or try to attract by leaving marks like bears, coyottes, etc do. So i would imagine you probably would be safe. We to in Nebraska are being told there are no mountain lions but people happen to see them all the time. It makes good sense to see the lions spreading throughout the united states with more and more good habitat and a deer population just ballooning all over the united states they should flourish with everything they need.

Also, I thought this was interesting to know:
“On July 18, 2005, Fitzgerald’s office indicted a number of top aides to Democrat Richard M. Daley, the mayor of Chicago, on charges of mail fraud,” looks like a good guy for the job?!
I doubt OBAMA would tap him, but if Fitzgerald is offered the position of Attorney General, I doubt he would accept it or step into it until he was finished with this case. He’s a very thorough guy, and past actions indicate he is not “buyable.”

And all this in just a day in Lexington…….what else is going on everywhere else………….it really is pathetic.

Ario I am with you. My strongest reason for NOT supporting Obama after inexperience was the fact he refused to allow medical help to botched abortion babies born alive. How inhumane is that? Just because he felt it would interfere with the mother’s decision to abort. Well geez maybe God intervened and allowed that baby to be born in spite of the abortion attempt. Who is there to protect that human life outside the womb?

I totally changed my mind on this subject years ago when i was a medic(my first job in the air force) and we had a baby born at 21 weeks of age. The sad thing was back at this time there was nothing to be done for the infant. I with one other medic had to take the child from the mother as she could bare seeing it at first. we took this little child which fit in the palm of my hand with hands, head, face etc. We had to watch it breath until it stopped to call time of death. This child lived for 45 minutes before she expired. I knew right than that anything killed after that point in that childs life was something that i had been wrong about. I couldnt believe what i witnessed and it changed me in a way but i believe changed me for the better. I feel for life more than anything else in this world.

I sat in my Bible study class two weeks ago and almost got into an argument with a guy who was for Obama and here we are all Catholics in our church studying scripture. How ironic is that. Our deacon who leads the Bible study said he had gotten three emails from our Bishop informing him NOT to discuss “candidates” but issues were okay. So I said, well as Catholics and as scripture abortion is an issue. I left that night and haven’t been back yet.

because a fathom is the distance between a man’s outstretched fingertips.
…
Today the fathom is used almost exclusively at sea, measuring water
depth, … etc.

Yeah, and I always figgered they must have lost a lot of sailors while measuring depth by lining up fingertip-to-fingertip all the way to the bottom, before they got the idea of using weighted ropes with knots!

Hello everyone Rurouni MakowashiNatsuko is here back from her long and boring American History class.(and a hot shower that I needed badly)
Let me just say the topics that we talked about today was Slavery, the Great Awakening and Women right’s movements.
15-20 minutes was spent on the Great Awakening, 15-10 on Women right’s, and the right of the 2 and a half hour class was spent on Slavery.
And may I point out that this professor started the lecture with a gleeful smile and the first two slides of the power point were comics from the news paper about how GREAT Obama was…he ended the lecture saying: and to think the slavery ended in 1865 and now it is 2008 and we have a black man in office.
It took all I could to bite my tongue to not say something….and may I note this man doesn’t like people who think outside the box…

The reason the church and yes i am catholic didnt want to take a stance is because they knew obama will be coming after churches that disagree with him. The will be using the rule of politics and tax free status to silence churches. I am sure this was a major discussed by church officials. Yes as a catholic no one and i repeat no one should have voted for obama. If you believe catholic doctrine and abortion is murder than as a catholic supporting the right for this is commiting a grave sin and you are just as guilty in your actions.

Southjerseypuma,
Sadly, I think there will be a lot of that type of triumphalist behavior from AAs, but not just AA’s,all the Obots who think they have conquered the world. They can cra* on you because their leader did it repeatedly, so did the press and lots of “progressive” women. This kind of vile confrontational stuff is what OBO promoted.
One by one we should begin to organize and punish the Obots that did this to us so they can never do this again. Just pick a target for a prowl. I’m thinking of Sandra Bernhardt, (some political theatre for her) Nancy Pelosi (getting organized right now to challenge her seat in 2010). There are lots of things we can begin to do.
It’s easy for me to say these things, I know. But it won’t be long before the hideous thing that is the “Obama Nation” may be exposed for what it is.
My heart goes out to you.

Your statement made me wonder. Arent alot of people out there who supported obama doing this only because of what you just said. If this is the case than that shows me right now people are so desperate for something in their own life that they are going to believe that someone else will give them meaning. Meaning and value comes from our family and faith and not another human being that is a stranger. I find it scary that people and yes we all know them supported him because of a belief in what a feelign he gives them. It is a simple falacy nothing more and i think alot of these people will have buyers remorce and the paychecks and paybacks dont start coming there way.
It is easier to think someone is going to take care of you thank realizing we control our own destiny and must take care of ourselves and our family.

One day close to the next election
This group has always been the best mavricks of information hunting. So lets say someone with no experiance, who was mad as hell after the current election, wanted to find a way to run for an office. They have a degree, but not in law, biz, finance, or poli sci or anything else “relevent” as defined by the main stream political world. Where would you direct them to start their research?
=============================================
The president is the most powerful person in the world, but the most powerful office is the precinct committeeman.
The way you get elected a Precinct Committeeman is usually very simple. In a typical state, you can call your county clerk and get the necessary forms, get ten of your friends to sign a Petition requesting that you be on the ballot in the Primary as a candidate for Precinct Committeeman, and file the Petition by the required date. Then you walk around your precinct, knock on one door after another, and say, “I would appreciate it if you would vote for me for Precinct Committeeman. You will find me on the Republican or Democrat ballot in the Primary election on Tuesday, _______________.” If you win you are the elected Precinct Committeeman for your precinct.
Of course, if your precinct already has a good Precinct Committeeman who is doing his job, he may not take kindly to you as an upstart and he may defeat you. You should find out the situation before making your decision.
However, a typical county may have dozens of precincts without any Precinct Committeeman because no one has bothered to run. It is sometimes easy to be appointed to one of these positions by calling your Party Chairman. Many precincts have do-nothing Committeemen who can easily be defeated because they don’t do their job.
To change things, we must change the laws.
To change the laws, we must change the people who make them.
To get elected, your candidate must be on the ballot.
To get on the November ballot you must win the Primary.
To win the Primary, you must get the support of people who make endorsements in the Primary, who reliably vote in the Primary, and who get out the vote of others in the Primary. Those people are the Precinct Committeemen.
Therefore, Precinct Committeeman is the most powerful office in the world because Precinct Committeemen determine who gets the chance to be elected to office at every level of government. Remember, if your candidate is not on the ballot, he will not be elected.
Launching pad for other offices. You would be amazed at how many of our Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, and state and local officials started as Precinct Committeemen, and still serve as Precinct Committeemen even though they hold a higher elected office. That’s because they know the power of a Precinct Committeeman.

The Sea of Tranquility is on the Moon. It’s not a real sea, but a “maria,” one of the regions on the Moon that appear dark when looking at it.
Colonial American culture called the October full moon the Hunter’s Moon, and the November full moon the Beaver moon. Also, Baskin-Robbins introduced the flavor “Lunar Cheesecake” to commemorate America’s landing on the moon on July 20, 1969.

Does that mean, Murphy that there are no coincidences? Like, was it a coincidence that Ayers and Dorn were a few people down on line to vote from BO?
==========
Speaking of which, an interesting question has occurred to me, that some genuine investigative reporter, should there be one left somewhere, could check easily:
Which of the Cabal, of Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers, Obama et al moved into that convenient Chicago neighborhood first, and invited the others to gather ’round (for coffee, birthday parties, and little chats)?
I’ll answer that for you right now…It was Ayers neighborhood, His father Thomas’ neighborhood, and “Fartinkan” was the second to join the elite party in the Heights…….That area has always been what could be called the “Gangsters Neighborhood” from the days of Capone and especially during Daley Sr. time……if you wanted to be something in the “Old Chicago Liberal Politics” you moved there.

I have to give this a lot of thought. It is so hypocritical to sit in a room studying scripture and talking about the commandments and then know these same people voted for a candidate that is in complete opposession to our doctrine.

People of religion can i ask a question about your faith.
One thing about obama that i was bothered about. In an interview with George Steffnapoluous (spelling?) Obama made the comment “my muslim faith” in which he was quickly corrected by george which said dont you mean your christian faith. Oh yes my christian faith.
Now the question i have for you would be this if you are catholic would you slip in an interview and say my”jewish faith or my hindu faith” etc
Is it me or does something not add up?

Tonight I had a call from my very conservative sister who supported McCain-Palin for her own reasons, and I filled her ears with information we know about Obama and how hard we tried to shout the truth to this nation, to prevent this outrage.
She listened sweetly for over 35 minutes and then said four simple words,
“It’s not your fault.”
It’s not our fault this happened. We tried. This dragon was too devious with deranged minions at his beck and call.

I say Kay Ryan Poet Laureate, being interviewed on Charlie Rose and she said that one of her favorite poems was Turtle.
It is a poem about frustration; she wrote it when she was going through a frustrating time.
I just thought Pumas might enjoy her sentiments.
Turtle
Kay Ryan
Who would be a turtle who could help it?
A barely mobile hard roll, a four-oared helmet,
She can ill afford the chances she must take
In rowing toward the grasses that she eats.
Her track is graceless, like dragging
A packing-case places, and almost any slope
Defeats her modest hopes. Even being practical,
She’s often stuck up to the axle on her way
To something edible. With everything optimal,
She skirts the ditch which would convert
Her shell into a serving dish. She lives
Below luck-level, never imagining some lottery
Will change her load of pottery to wings.
Her only levity is patience,
The sport of truly chastened things.

When i was young i had a congressman in the 2nd district of omaha that always voted against alot of things nebraska believed in. His name was Peter Hoagland. I very much disliked this man and his policies and always asked how could this guy always get reelected to the congress. I remember writing him about certain bills and have him write me back basically saying he was voting one way but than do the opposite in the congress. Needless to say i devoted much time for one election to get him defeated, well i lost again as the guy i supported lost. i lost faith and got angry and needless to say military service took me to alaska.
What is the moral of this story. The following year Peter Hoagland was voted out by John Christensen. I was so happy and wondered how much of the work i did talking to people, sending out mailers etc made a difference. Remember to keep faith, find people who are positive and get energy from them and remember if you do nothing you have no one to blame for your actions but yourself.

Day One: Obama faces a Cold War threat and a warning from Israel
By Joe Murphy
07th November 2008
Barack Obama was confronting a looming international crisis just hours after his White House election triumph.
The U.S. President-elect faced a triple threat with Russia, Israel and Afghanistan all threatening to test his mettle.
Locked away in his Chicago home, Mr Obama received his first national security intelligence briefing yesterday as he wrestled with appointments for his Cabinet.
Photobucket
Straight to work: President-elect Obama faces a looming international crisis
He ventured out twice, once to visit his local gym and then his downtown offices.
Each time he was escorted by a convoy of black vehicles carrying heavily armed secret service agents.
Aides said he planned no public appearances until later in the week.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev was first to lay down a challenge to America’s new leader – by increasing tension in a stand off reminiscent of the Cold War.
In a provocative speech from the Kremlin, he threatened to base warheads along the Polish border if Mr Obama goes forward with a Bush administration plan to create a missile shield in Eastern Europe.
Obama security
Then Israel warned last night that the new U.S. Commander-in-Chief’s campaign claim that he was ready to open talks with Iran could be seen in the Middle East as a sign of weakness.
After eight years of staunch support from President Bush, the Israelis are now watching Mr Obama closely – even though he does not take power until January – looking for indicators as to how he will handle the nuclear threat from Tehran.
‘We live in a neighbourhood in which dialogue – in a situation where you have brought sanctions and you then shift to dialogue – is liable to be interpreted as weakness,’ said Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni.
Asked if she supported any U.S. talks with Iran, she quickly said: ‘The answer is no.
‘
In a step that will further increase Israel’s anxiety about Obama, Tehran announced last night that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had broken a 29-year tradition and sent his congratulations to the President-elect – the first time an Iranian leader has offered such wishes since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Ahmadinejad congratulated the Democrat on ‘attracting the majority of voters in the election’.
He said he hoped Obama will ‘use the opportunity to serve the (American) people and leave a good name for history’ during his term in office.
Iran and the U.S. have had no formal diplomatic relations since 1979 when militant Iranian students held 52 Americans captive 444 days.
President Bush has repeatedly clashed with Tehran over its nuclear program and its opposition to the U.S.-led invasions and occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq.
In Afghanistan, President Hamid Karzai demanded that Mr Obama ‘put an end to civilian casualties’ by changing U.S. military tactics to avoid airstrikes in the war on the Taliban.
He spoke out after seven wedding party guests were accidentally killed by an American airstrike in the southern Kandahar province. Afghan officials said last night 13 gunmen were killed in the attack.
Mr Obama has vowed to switch the U.S. military focus from Iraq to Afghanistan and is reportedly planning to ask Britain to send 3,000 extra troops to bolster extra American forces in the region.
But his aides fear a public backlash if he moves swiftly in Afghanistan before acting on his pledge to start a withdrawal from Iraq.
Gordon Brown became one of the first world leaders to congratulate Obama in a ten-minute telephone call last night. Aides said they discussed Obama’s plans for a phased withdrawal from Iraq and his commitment to boost forces in Afghanistan.
Speaking from the South Lawn of the White House, President Bush said he would be meeting Mr Obama next week and is making ‘unprecedented efforts’ to make a smooth transition during his final 74 days in office.
As if the instant foreign policy tests were not enough, Mr Obama was also facing more economic problems with the Dow Jones Index dropping for a second successive day.
Wall Street greeted his election win by plunging nearly 500 points on Wednesday and it was down again by 274 points in afternoon trading.
While new presidents often take weeks before naming their Cabinet, Mr Obama was quick out of the blocks yesterday, offering the chief-of-staff job to tough-talking congressman Rahm Emanuel, a veteran of the Clinton administration, and more appointments are expected next week.

I spoke with my co-worker before Nov 4. Sent her an email with lots of links about Obarfo. The first one was the action center link of the Clinton’s complaint about caucus fraud. My co-worker dutifully tied. Then sighed “oh this is too long to read” (4 pages with lots of whitespace????) Then later I heard “this is probably not true”.

Greta,
You’ve got to get over Sarah Palin! She brought some of this on herself. Hillary has taken this crap from the media for years and no one has come to her rescue. Sarah can handle herself, and frankly I’m sick of hearing about her. Let’s get on to the news, fair and balanced!

Thoughts on how we got this election so wrong
Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized
[46] Comments
We’re still working through introspection on the electoral results, but this morning we’re thinking about what clues we missed during the election that should have foreseen the landslide President-Elect Obama won last night.
We truly believed John McCain would win a relatively close race — and were absolutely wrong. Why? There are three main reaons we can think of so far, but will undoubtedly find many more as we get further removed from the moment and are able to see where our thinking went wrong.
(1) We did not imagine a generational shift of this magnitude was possible and never believed young voters would actually turn the vote out (because they never had before): You have to give credit where it is most assuredly due — the Obama ground game was top notch, though we repeatedly discounted it. In retrospect, we made the classic Marginot Line mistake, where we viewed the battles at hand through the lens of those that preceded them. We missed the real impact of Obama’s registration and social networking efforts because we assumed they’d fail the same way Gore and Kerry’s efforts failed the last two elections. That was a critical error — and we should have realized how formidable Obama’s organization was after the Iowa caucus, and how we witnessed his ground game completely overwhelm Clinton’s (with the same thing repeateding in every caucus state except Nevada). They played to win time and again in the primaries, so we should never have discounted their impact in the general election either. That was a critical mistake, as was the assumption Obama’s “youth army” wasn’t a force to be reckoned with (squarely because we remember “youth armies” never carrying the day for other candidates).
Just because things never worked before, and just because young voters never turned out before, we assumed they wouldn’t work or turn out again. Boy, was that ever wrong.
We also believed we still had an election or two before the Baby Boom generation was willing and able to pass the torch to their children — and that proved decidedly not to be the case. Obama is the first post-baby boom generation president, who came to office 8 years before we would have expected. We were convinced Boomers wouldn’t vote against one of their own (McCain) in numbers as large as they did, especially in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We’re truly floored by this — because it means Boomers only had 16 years in the White House before surrendering the national mantle we expected them to carry for a total of about 24 years (since Bill Clinton was the first Boomer president, and George W. Bush the second…with Obama the first of a new generation of presidents). That is a remarkable shift we never considered — like parents handing over the keys to the family car and putting their children in the driver’s seat for keeps. We never dreamed they’d do that, because we didn’t think the next generation was ready yet, but that’s exactly what Boomers did.
(2) We believed the driving force for this election would be logic and not emotion (and were 100% wrong): From the very beginning, we looked at Obama as someone who has no major accomplishments to his resume, with no lists of tangible achievements. We always saw this election the way we’ve seen every other election: as a hiring decision. That’s how Clinton and McCain both couched things, and both failed in their candidacies because that thining was 100% out of synch with the zeitgeist. Voters weren’t casting their vote based on resumes and logic — they were operating from a place of emotion (raw emotion, for some people).
Thinking about this today, we realize Obama’s “hope and change” landslide is the bookend to the shock and horror of 9/11 seven years ago. In the fall of 2001, America experienced a brutal psychological shock that changed the way we as a nation see the world. We got scared, and the reaction that followed was several years of running on pure emotion — where anyone who questioned the government was called an unpatriotic traitor, and it didn’t matter to anyone whether there really were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq (because people were so shaken by 9/11 itself that they gave the Bush Administration the benefit of the doubt, operating on the emotional level they were still on in 2003). So, a natural cycle played out where people lived in terror and paranoia for two years (coming on the heels of the Y2K paranoia that caused homeowners to build Y2K shelters in their basements, stocked with provisions for the global computer failure that never thankfully never came), then emotionally acted out against any criticism of the government regarding the Iraq war for another two years or so, before finally ending that curve with emotional regret of ever getting involved in Iraq to begin with.
Obama’s candidacy perfectly rode that last surge of emotion — and he was remarkably fortunate to have not been in the Senate when the Iraq War vote was cast (not to mention being shrewd enough to turn a little-noticed speech delivered in Springfield, IL as a state legislator into an emotional rallying point for a campaign, perfectly timed with Americans’ psychological turn against the Bush Administration and the public’s guilt and regret for blindly supporting the war in 2003). Psychologically, people seem to be ashamed for so blindly following the WMDs claims and other justifications for the war — and saw in Obama an outlet for that angst. They latched onto his assertion that he was against the war from the start; since the public now wished they had been against the war from the start too (which they weren’t, because the rush to war had 90% approval ratings in 2003), an emotional bond formed with Obama that was more powerful than we had ever realized. In a way, supporting him relieved their guilt over buying the Bush Administration’s WMD claims, now that public opinion shifted against the war so completely.
Obama’s “hope and change” message was very well tailored to take advantage of the natural cycle of emotions Americans went through after 9/11 — announcing his candidacy in 2007, after 6 years in which Americans were severely shocked psychologically and wanted to get back to feeling the way they did on September 10th, 2001. There could not have been a better campaign theme to capitalize on this desire than “hope and change”. People wanted to feel good again, after being scared and angst-ridden for so long…and this message sold like hotcakes (or, waffles if you prefer). In retrospect, Axelrod is a genius for capitalizing on all of this because he must have appreciated the Yin/Yang nature of all this psychologically.
The “shock and horror” of 9/11 was the dark yin (fear, terror, loss, anger, guilt, shame) that could be balanced with “hope and change” as the bright yang (good feelings, optimism, pride, freedom from worry). It’s a message that would not have worked in 2004, because Americans were still transitioning through that cycle of fear and anger and had not yet moved into the regret of the war needed to make that yang so desirable. So, Obama’s timing was impeccable and fulfilled a need voters had in numbers larger than we ever imagined.
We never once looked at his candidacy through an emotional lens, which was a human failing of ours. We looked at his record in Illinois and the US Senate and did not see someone we felt was qualified to be president because we never saw an instance of Obama showing leadership and tackling difficult issues (or risking anything politically by taking unpopular positions because they were the right thing to do). So, our opposition to him was firmly rooted in what we knew about him, not how we felt about him. Our mistake was assuming Americans would vote based on what they knew about him, and not how they felt about him — and last night proved that to be 100% wrong.
(3) We believed Obama’s past, his record, and his chosen associations would cancel out the media-fueled phenomenon he became: We see clearly we had blinders on from working nonstop on this campaign since the spring of 2007. Literally, we’ve done little else besides phone bank, canvass, blog, and provide visibility for first Hillary Clinton and then John McCain for almost two years. No movies, no vacations, no activities unrelated to the campaign. We became really and truly obsessed with this election — throwing everything we had into this. Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers, Donnie McClurken, Yesse Yehudah, Bernadine Dohrn, and the host of questionable associations of Obama became all we read about since the Iowa caucus, when the tactics we saw Obama’s ground game employ back in January convinced us that if people just knew the whole story about how much dirty Chicago politics were involved in Obama’s rise that they would surely snap out of the “hope change” mindset and see Obama for who we knew he really was: another Chicago politician who games the system.
But, the public never cared about Obama’s associations or record. Just like in (2) above, it was all about the emotion, especially when the media crafted a perfect narrative for his candidacy, since that was the story they wanted to tell. The media’s news cycle either drives the public’s emotional cycle or is an accurate reflection of it — we don’t know which. But, the media needed a new story to tell after the 9/11 yin had played itself out, and Obama emerged with perfect timing to capitalize on that. Of course no reporters would vert Obama thoroughly or explore his Illinois record and shady associations in any detail. That would ruin the narrative the media wanted to drive. We should have seen that, and realized there never was an effective way to counter any of this. Once Axelrod set the “hope change” meme in motion, this campaign became an emotional juggernaut immune to logic or any mountain of facts anyone could dig up.
It’s hard to tell how the “hope change” cycle plays out…but people universally seem euphoric over Obama’s election and we truly do say we are happy for them. Seeing Jesse Jackson cry tears of pride last night on TV was something we won’t ever forget — and we are glad so many Civil Rights leaders are alive today and were able to witness Obama’s election, because it culminates a movement they started so long ago. We don’t see how that can’t be a good thing for the nation going forward — and in that sense Obama’s presidency will be transformative, because it is historic and momentous. We have at least two years of media praise coming for Obama on this fact alone, because it is a celebration long coming for the black community.
After that, who knows, because the media always needs a new story to tell and a new cycle to run. Our concern is that Obama’s closet full of political and ethical skeletons isn’t going anywhere, and is ripe fodder for scandal-of-the-day should the media decide, two years or so from now, to change the narrative and finally vet Obama, midway through his term in office. Everything rests on how effective he is as president and what judgment he shows in this job, so maybe the “hope change” euphoria will last through 2012 and beyond. Or maybe two years of euphoria are followed by disappointment and disillusionment, since it’s going to be near-impossible to live up to the soaring rhetoric and emotional heights engendered by this campaign.
By winning that landslide last night, Obama earned the right to show all of us what hope and change really mean. We think Democrats and Republicans of all stripes can agree that we’re all rooting for Obama now, no matter how much we aggressively opposed his election. Like a heated trial that went before a jury, that verdict is in and it’s one we must all accept.
Pessimism is unwarranted because Obama succeeded beyond our wildest expectations — what he accomplished is truly remarkable, so there is no logical reason for us to say he can’t do everything he promises. He honestly does seem truly touched by something powerful — and while we will never understand the emotional pull his supporters have in him, we do realize we’re missing out on something unprecedented we’re just not connected to.
We don’t think we can just will ourselves to buy into all of this now — any more than we lifelong Democrats were able to will ourselves into buying into it during the election (which is why we became Democrats for McCain, since we just didn’t get the emotional appeal of Obama when logically McCain’s bipartisan record and resume of achievements seemed the better choice to us, even if that meant crossing party lines).
But, here is what we are going to do: we’re going to open our eyes and ears and take in everything Obama says and does going forward. We are going to put our hope and faith in him to do what is best for America, regardless of the political cost. That’s what we knew Hillary Clinton or John McCain would do, and since Obama’s been chosen to sit behind the Resolute Desk, that’s what we are going to believe he will do as well.
We realize intense emotions went into this campaign on all sides — but if bipartisanship is to work, then the absolute least we can do to change the way business is done in Washington is to at least give Obama a chance to prove himself. We will be critical of him when he deserves it, and will praise him when he has earned it, the same as we have done for any president before him. Though we rooted against him since 2007, we all as Americans should root for him now. Even Republicans, because that’s what Senator McCain and Governor Palin are doing right now.
Instead of approaching Obama’s presidency from a point of automatic contention, why don’t we all change the way we do things and look for areas where we can work with an Obama Administration on things we can accomplish with bipartisan spirit?
Let our end of the bargain be this promise to be fair to him and to work with him as the leader Americans chose — with the understanding being that his end of the bargain should be working with all those who did not vote for him, remembering always that he can’t just dance with those who brought him, but instead needs to make a concerted effort to include ALL Americans in the hope and change he has promised to deliver.
It’s time to put aside the automatic and passionate opposition many of us had to this man — and honor his historic achievement with the respect it deserves, while also maintaining from the outset that Obama will get no free ride and must every day prove he is worthy of the highest office in the land (the same demand Americans have made of the 43 men who held that office before him).
A new administration means a new chance for bipartisan cooperation and solutions to problems like oil dependence, outsourceable jobs, and healthcare. We can’t afford to waste this new chance in 2009 by clinging to the would of, could of, should of mentality of primaries and elections lost. Our chosen candidates didn’t win – instead Obama did.
Now that this has sunk in, we need to find ways to work with him, and he needs to find ways to work with all of us, because the stakes are just too high for us all to do otherwise.

A better question would be how do we wake up the uninformed so that we can protect ourselves. We have to act with many. We need to contact many different groups and form alliances to spread the information.

mountain I think about it…….
Practically within minutes of the Nazi takeover of the German government, individuals were subordinated to the state. Even industries that remained privately owned (and there were many, as opponents of the Nazis = socialist theory like to point out), were allowed to do so only if their owners bent their efforts to the benefit of the state. Show a hint of individualism, and an unwillingness to cooperate, and you’d swiftly find yourself in Dachau, with a government operative sitting in that executive chair you once owned.
We all know what life was like in this Nazi socialist state. Citizens immediately lost the right to bear arms; thought crimes were punished with imprisonment and death; children were indoctrinated into giving their allegiance to the state, not the family; the government dictated the way in which people could live their day-to-day lives; and people who appeared to be outliers to the harmony of the conscienceless government entity (gays, mentally ill-people, physically handicapped people, Jews, gypsies) were dehumanized and eventually slaughtered.

If your feelin obliged to congradulate Obama
on his newly found fame…
Tell Obama how you feel about his election!
Posted on November 5th, 2008 by katia
If you go to Hillary’s website http://www.hillaryclinton.com she has a link to a form where you can send congratulations to Obama on his election. But I used the form to say that he fooled the uninformed masses, but we will work to make sure he is a one term President by starting to work of Hillary’s 2012 campaign now!
So everyone on here should write a message for how you feel about Obama winning, on Hillary’s site.

I’m sorry, but are you braindead? Have you not witnessed first hand the futility we all met in trying to expose truth about Obama and stop him? Do you think, if He/they decide to impose Martial Law that they are going to ask permission from Congress and the Supreme Court First?
They don’t have to follow ANY steps. They will be making their own.
Our systewm is broken. Freedom and Democracy are DEAD!!!
Once the economy totally collapses, which it is doing while we sit helplessly watching, the logically reaction is anarchy. But do you think for one moment they do not know this and have not already planned for it?
A clue~~~
Did you know that FEMA is a branch of the United Nations? That all law enforcement came together in the early 90’s, maybe before, under the Multi-jurisdictional Task Force, which effectively dispensed with ‘jurisdiction’ and place ALL law enforcement agencies under the auspices of FEMA???
Our government plans it’s wars 20 years in advance. Do you not think this is all going according to plan?
Do you not realize that, now with Obama, if Israel attacks Iran, the United States will follow orders of the United Nations and support an attack on Israel? Are you THAT not paying attention to what is going on in this world?
There are too many people in the world to even feed. Controlling them is a contingency that has been planned for.
Oh, Jesus Christ!!!

I rmeebr whenthis type of concern was rampant under Clnton. When the first gun ba ever was placed inot law.
A that time in Ca. we had about 250 thousand legally owned “assault weapons”. They weren’t assault weapons but I won’t getinto that.
In the first 6 months of the gun ban one criminal org smuggled in and sold over 500k such firearms.
Now where do you think those guns are?
I remember the talk all around the ranges.

EXACTLY!!! Thank you.
So we are the most heavily armed population on the face of the earth!!! We still have to eat. We still need bullet. We still need communications and transportation.
As tewnnessee just pointed out:
“We all know what life was like in this Nazi socialist state. Citizens immediately lost the right to bear arms; thought crimes were punished with imprisonment and death; children were indoctrinated into giving their allegiance to the state, not the family; the government dictated the way in which people could live their day-to-day lives; and people who appeared to be outliers to the harmony of the conscienceless government entity (gays, mentally ill-people, physically handicapped people, Jews, gypsies) were dehumanized and eventually slaughtered.”
Does this resonate with any familiarity concerning BO’s plans, people?
THIS all is what has me so depressed!!!

#342 airforcehusker,
I feel the same way. My father passed away and the sheriff in Chino found 27 guns in his motorhome(he was a Cowboy Shoot guy) Funny thing was, we found another 13 they didn’t. They gave them all to us. It was a wierd feeling driving away in a rental car with a load of rifles and hand guns. We kept about 8 and sold the rest.
It has changed my thoughts about gun ownership and I have a greater respect for them. This election has made me glad there are a few in the gun safe. My dad never went anywhere without one. They were tucked all over his motorhome. He was a staunch GOP, I am glad he is not around to see what has happened to America.
tennaseepuma 11.07.08 at 12:52 am
America is not the land of the free any more everthing the government put in place is coming together if we stick our head in the ground and say no way we are blind, obama has a plan to police the internet,he has a plan to police the schools,he has a plan to police all of us………some will fight and many will die……….just a tin hat theory? Bush gave the presidency power over everything and everyone if martial law is declared.
they can starve any part of america they want, just like they already do in other parts of the world to keep populations under control. Why with all the technology in the world are hundreds of thousands of people starving to death? Why did 54,00 babies suffer in china?
mountainsong 11.07.08 at 12:52 am
FIRST, the economy has to tank. So we don’t have any money to acquire the necessities of survival and resistance. Maybe I missed something on the news“`has it turned around? I thought someone said the DOW dropped as much as it did in 1987 in just 2 days. Since the messiah was elected.
Under the War Powers Act, established in 1946 when Harry Truman signed the United Nations Charter, the POTUS has the power, by Executive Order to make any laws he wishes without the approval of Congress or the Courts.
His authority is the United Nations.

SHow me where FEMA is a part of the UN and I will agree to everything you say. Because I have never heard that before. Furthermore it would be illegal for the us government to place FEMA under un control. If they did that then you are 100% right.
As to jurisdiction, that has been a moot point since the seventies. all law enforcement agencies sign a yearly waiver allowing cross jurisdictional activity.

Obama campaign workers angry over unpaid wages
Ralph Alter
Oops! It looks like expectations are already being dashed by the president-elect. According to WTHR TV in Indianapolis:
Lines were long and tempers flared Wednesday not to vote but to get paid for canvassing for Barack Obama. Several hundred people are still waiting to get their pay for last-minute campaigning. Police were called to the Obama campaign office on North Meridian Street downtown to control the crowd.
The line was long and the crowd was angry at times.
“I want my money today! It’s my money. I want it right now!” yelled one former campaign worker.
A former spokesman for the Obama campaign said 375 people were hired as part of the Vote Corps program and said people signed up to work three-hour shifts at a time. Three hours of canvassing got workers a $30 pre-paid Visa card.

With job losses going through the roof foreclosures will be even more prominent. The market will keep declining for years to come. It will take a good 5 years for this to straighten it self out or about the time it took to create this mess to begin with. Obama will be the most infective presidents we ever head. Bush will look like a dream compared to this guy. It won’t be all his fault but the Hope & Change crowed will not understand why thing did not get better since they elected him. They will not come out to vote ever again. So who ever runs against him in 2012 will easily win. The problem with most politicians is that they have to deal with reality once they get into office and as Bush has found out reality can be very inconvenient especially when it keeps kicking you in the a$$ when you least expect it.

MakowashiNatsuko 11.07.08 at 2:01 am
And to all the other rurouni PUMA’s out there I must say jya ne and oyasumi myself. I need to get some sleep I have a French test tomorrow and I think rest would be the best thing for me right now.
so until tomorrow oyasumi to all and remember us Rurouni/ronin PUMA’s have to stick together! Jya ne!
MakowashiNatsuko 11.07.08 at 2:02 am
Oh Hihat go on and ask before I get off.
Zee 11.07.08 at 2:02 am
Whew. Pumas are getting worked up.
Here’s a poem I meant to post the other night, by one of my favorite poets…it’s like it was written for now:
http://www.margepiercy.com/sampling/The_Low_Road.htm
The Low Road
What can they do
to you? Whatever they want.
They can set you up, they can
bust you, they can break
your fingers, they can
burn your brain with electricity,
blur you with drugs till you
can t walk, can’t remember, they can
take your child, wall up
your lover. They can do anything
you can’t blame them
from doing. How can you stop
them? Alone, you can fight,
you can refuse, you can
take what revenge you can
but they roll over you.
But two people fighting
back to back can cut through
a mob, a snake-dancing file
can break a cordon, an army
can meet an army.
Two people can keep each other
sane, can give support, conviction,
love, massage, hope, sex.
Three people are a delegation,
a committee, a wedge. With four
you can play bridge and start
an organisation. With six
you can rent a whole house,
eat pie for dinner with no
seconds, and hold a fund raising party.
A dozen make a demonstration.
A hundred fill a hall.
A thousand have solidarity and your own newsletter;
ten thousand, power and your own paper;
a hundred thousand, your own media;
ten million, your own country.
It goes on one at a time,
it starts when you care
to act, it starts when you do
it again after they said no,
it starts when you say We
and know who you mean, and each
day you mean one more.

No, no. Sorry. I posted before I saw that you were going to bed.
It can wait.
I was just wondering about the acamdemic atmosphere on your campus, regarding your posts about your History Professor. But, we can discuss it another time.
You need your rest.
MakowashiNatsuko 11.07.08 at 2:07 am
HiHat,
It’s alright most of the professors know what they are talking about. BUT some of them like my American History professor is over LIBERAL who has drank the kool-aid who I think would much rather not deal with a free thinker like myself. Who questions EVERYTHING.
Besides him the others are pretty understanding.
HiHat 11.07.08 at 2:09 am
That’s what I was wondering.
If he was just a bad apple in the bunch. I would hope so. University is nothing if not a place open to dissent and free exchange of opinions.
Thanks.

jenniferforHillary,
i’m with you girl. i can go about my life and continue to live positively but I do not ever have to support or believe in the Unholy Douchebag.
My day to day life will not be affected by the scumbag. But I don’t see how anyone can simply swallow their principles and be accepting of the SEXISM and RACE BAITING that was never condemned by this A@@hole!, With all his money, he never got on national TV and publicly condemn violence (the attack of the woman in NY) …the violent language (death threats to people like Tavis Smiley, Diane Watson, etc etc etc) …backstabbing Bill Clinton (accusations of racism) …SEXISM (endless examples).
Anyone who compromises their principles and gets behind a man who did not have the fortitude and honor to get on national tv and tell his supporters these actions and this behavior is UNACCEPTABLE, UNCIVILIZED, UNDEMOCRATIC and UNAMERICAN is simply a weak person. You can’t blame people for being what they are. You must be a Capricorn! lol We are pretty darn strong! I’m pretty stubborn when it comes to principles, but that’s just part of my character. Not everyone is so adamant.
We all stand on our own principles.
That being said, I can admire the principles of some, such as yourself Jennifer while I cannot admire principles (or lack thereof) of others.

As said before, I’m a moderate, centrist European Democrat, thus Hillary would be my first choice. I was – just like you – once pissed off by a party I have been supporting thus far. Thanks god, European political market is far more diversified than US one; it’s a way easier to shift you preference without contest your most essential political convictions.
I still am what I am, thus I’d be the last to advocate Bush. Yet, I totally disagree with no. 1 accusation from an infamous RICO lawsuit against him (and others) for the events of 9/11:
”THE WTC TWIN TOWERS, AS WELL AS WTC BUILDING #7, WERE DESTROYED BY CONTROLLED DEMOLITION, AS CLEARLY PROVEN BY THE LAWS OF PHYSICS; THIS DEMOLITION COULD ONLY HAVE BEEN AN “INSIDE JOB.”
While at issue of “healthy” skepticism and credibility: do you know who filed that lawsuit?

If you believe in the rightness of what we have been fighting for, then there really is no problem here. Neither Bush nor Obama were elected by the people of this country. They are both the same, empty suit wing nuts. Obama’s administration will do no better. I think there are three things we need to do:
1. Protect ourselves as best we can from the negative consequences of another fraudulent president.
2. Document the evidence we have and can get of the election fraud.
3. Organize interested parties into corrective actions. What is wrong with the process? What can be done?
Our “leaders” are not going to do this because they would rather have a system they can manipulate.
normapapuma 11.07.08 at 6:51 am
Yesterday we heard a full brigade of troops will be leaving Iraq because they are no longer needed. An answer to our prayers, yes. John McCain is partly responsible for that success for pushing the surge forward. I’m sad that we couldn’t have John McCain as President.
The media has confessed to total bias and are now shamelessly and trying to destroy a great woman. I’m sad we couldn’t have Sarah Palin as VP. I’m ignoring the tv as much as possible, have no newspaper (cancelled it), and worry constantly. Need real HOPE back fast!

Its sick how the media continues to try and destroy Sarah Palin. Leave her alone. Let her govern Alaska in peace.
Did you know she sent this dispatch to the family of a fallen soldier last Monday from the campaign trail?
Oh, did you miss it? It was on all the news. /sarc
IMMEDIATE RELEASE No. 08-175
Governor Palin Mourns the Loss of Fort Wainwright Soldier
October 27, 2008, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin today expressed her condolences to the family and friends of Private First Class Cody J. Eggleston, who died at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, on October 24. Eggleston died of injuries sustained in Baquaba, Iraq, from indirect fire.
Eggleston, 21, of Eugene, Oregon, was assigned to C Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Eggleston is survived by his wife, Karie, and stepdaughter, Raegen, of North Carolina.
“PFC Eggleston’s dedication and service to his country will never be forgotten,” Governor Palin said. “He is a hero who loyally served his country with honor. Todd and I offer our thoughts and prayers to Cody’s family during this difficult time.”
A state flag, along with a letter of condolence, will be sent to his family.

I can’t bear to see and hear anything about the new president that will destroy our country and of course anything that is destroying a wonderful, ordinary smart woman and her family: the Palins.
Hopefully the media will quiet down. I can TIVO it then fast forward past all the ugliness and that will help but I’m not ready yet.

Good morning pumas!!
I am glad it is Friday. I have not watched the news since Tuesday evening. I don’t miss it at all.
My step-mom called me last night. She wanted to know how I feel the outcome of the election. It all came pouring out. I went on a 15 minute rant, when I was done she asked me if I felt this way because he was black? WTF? I just said mom get a clue, do some research and QUIT watching the news. The info is out there. People are so blinded by the thought of change and making Bush pay, they have not thought about the outcome of having BO in office. Desperate people, do desperate things. That is how I feel about this election.
I kinda feel like in some really bad “B” horror flick.

Who are the electors?? Their vote counts more than yours/ours.
I found the list of the 2004 electors…
http://archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/certificates.html
go to the site listed above and type your state into the search box.
I also found out there are more than 2 people who are immigrants (one is openly Muslim) who are electors. So, essentially, THEIR vote for President means more than ours

Sunshinelvr 11.07.08 at 7:57 am
-as to my comment above about the elector being “openely”Muslim, it’s not the Muslim part that is so irritating–its the very fact that SOME of these ELECTORS who vote carries MORE weight than others–are Immigrants and not NATURAL -BORN AMERCIANS. This should be a requirenment for an elector–to be a NATURAL citizen.
Also, if we are searching for issues to work on– campaign finance reform and term limits for Senators would be good ones. After all, the President is limited- (until ohonewhohateswomen changes it!)- so why not limit Senators, too? It would cut down on the corruption if they knew they could only be there for a while and not make it a life-time career!

Time for McCain to Step Up to the Plate Again
Clarice Feldman
We supported John McCain and hisrunning mate,Sarah Palin, and are sorely disappointed at the cattiness toward Sarah by McCain’s staff that’s making its way to the press. There’s only one way to end this and protect the reputation of the person who brought so much to the ticket:McCain must definitively and decisively publicly contradict these reports and do it now!
http://www.americanthinker.com/
———————————————–
Maybe we should do a prowl to McCain and let him know he needs to make a public announcement and end these comments. Or maybe I will have to ask for my contribution money to be returned.
SouthernGAL68 11.07.08 at 8:08 am
CJ – tell me about it! I feel u! What I think bothers me so badly is that I can see through Obama’s lies and deception ( as I am sure we all can ) and we all know where he will be leading this country … destruction from within as planned!
CJ 11.07.08 at 8:09 am
I’m learning that Obama is bringing in the Governator, and Kerry…could we be ALL wrong is he going to work for ALL the people……. old saying: “keep your friends close and your enemies closer…”
so who is saying this now……Obama? or our American politicians?

I can’t express myself most of the time…I can only see an overall “feeling”: if that makes sense and it isn’t good at all.
Then sometimes I feel that maybe just maybe could he do good …(don’t all jump on me please) or perhaps it’s me brain that wants to shut off the pain.
I still find it diffficult to believe that our CIA FBI has allow this man to bypass our Constitution whereas one cannot aid or comfort our enemies….so far he hasn’t..he’s been an observant…..
I sure you all can see how paradoxial my mind set is.
CJ 11.07.08 at 8:17 am
McCain didn’t want the reporter to use the proper name of O…hmmm strange. I read in a Kenya paper last year that its” Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama….. but “what’s in a name…it’s just a name…”
other names… Martin Luther King, Sarah Jessica Parker, Hillary Rodham Clinton….
Whats Obama’s problem
SouthernGAL68 11.07.08 at 8:18 am

RedRich 11.07.08 at 8:20 am
As I said earlier, I’m new. I need to be up front. I’m a middle-class, conservative Republican who has followed your comments since the night that Sarah spoke to the RNC.
I think we’ve all learned a lot about each other since that night. It’s been a pleasure for me to see how much we have in common.
This having been said, I think you’re probably also beginning to see that middle-class Republican conservatives don’t have a lot in common with the relatively small group of blue-bloods that want to control the Republican party—witness what they’re trying to do right now to Sarah, whom we all deeply love. I’d also ask you to consider the extraordinary way that the new (conservative) media is coming to her defense, even if McCain is not. (Sarah Palin for President, 2012!!!)
I believe that it is so very important for PUMAs and conservative Republicans and others of like mind to continue to open up and develop an ongoing dialog. I think all of us can see that we’re heading, as a nation, into an uncharted future (e.g., consider the stock market for starters). What we have comfortably known as our national political process may or may not remain the same.
We, as middle-class Americans who share so much, need to establish a commonly understood ground upon which we can operate. And we can do this now because the MAIN STREAM MEDIA no longer separates us! Nothing has been a greater obstacle to open communication than this wretched creature!
We all carry a certain amount of baggage with us that can get in the way, but if we go forward, respecting each other and our common principles, a new and different political entity may arise.
Thanks for letting me speak.

I have been thinking oh no is what my children say burlap bags should have been used on them, anyway it seems the good old boys on both side get crazy when a woman gets near the Oval office I think they are trying to make Sarah look bad because in the grand plan no woman is to get the oval office ever ever, ever it is I’m sure the only thing both dems and repubs ass’s can agree on they go weak in the knees and lose sleep over it and the women in office appear to be two types those that try to act like men and those that try to suck up but I think Sarah is not in either group she is more like the hell with them I know who I am very independent she could probally kick all there asses I stll respect Hillary to a point wish she had told them to F off I voted for her but Iam begining to respect Sarah more.I think like Hillary she has to fight twice as hard to get where she is going and maybe one day all those suck up women will open their eyes and remember who the hell they are up there for my guess it should be women and their children that is why we vote them in isn’t it. This is just my rant for the day now off to clean the toilets, take out the trash, go food shopping, do the wash, work my job, take care of the children, and cry because I have a daughter who has a daughter that that will see very little change in their lot in life until all women unite .

I and millions of other women are seeing this is what is happening. The media and the late night talk shows are sliming Sarah and ridiculing her and I feel it is to let any WOMAN know this is what will happen to you to should you think of running. Leno and Letterman made me sick. My hubby was channel surfing last night and the jokes just kept on coming ridiculing Sarah.

Good morning all,
Like many of you I’m not watching the news. I did this a few years ago also and found out things still happened, or didn’t, whether I knew or watched or not! But I was at peace. And I’m still waking up every morning thinking it was a nitemare I had, only to realize we are living the nitemare scenario right now.
However, the local paper is still thrown on my porch and this tidbit from the Columbus Dispatch this morning:
“OHIO TURNOUT LOWER THAN IN 2004″
Now, isn’t that interesting? I thought all the Walmart women all over Ohio would turn out for Sarah, but I guess they didn’t, probably depressed from watching how inevitable Obama’s victory was?
As for the continued attacks on Sarah, I think that just shows you how afraid the far-left in this country still is of her. It would be difficult for her to make a serious run in 2012 from Alaska, but if she were in the senate that would help tremendously. Therefore they want to not just bury her but dismember and scatter her body parts like they would a vampire!
Oh, one other random thought, I use Yahoo business email so must sign on to Yahoo mainpage first, and can’t avoid their gushy headlines. Funny I didn’t see a thing about the stock market tanking two days in a row…would have been the main headline just a few days ago…but nooooo, there is no media bias…like heck there isn’t!

And here’s a fact that is still true: Barack Obama is still a FRAUD.
PumaPac needs to track the history of Obama’s appointments just as we have tracked and maintained the facts and history of his associates: Start with Rahm Emmanuel…not good.
not good at all…long time relationship with Obama from Chicago and one of the orchestrators of this Alinsky fraud of a campaign. We must track the relationships. These relationships are the continuity of all of our work so far.
If you are not ready to do that, then you are not ready to remain VIGILENT about this usurped Socialist Democratic Party that is now ruling the entire county. And, as a citizen, if you are not ready to do that then give up, go find a hole and hibernate because the repercussions of this government and its actions are every day going to try to take one more of the few remaining individual rights you and the rest of us have. VIGILENCE means among other things to know throroughly who the people are in the Executive Branc, like Emmanuel, not what the meida says what we find and say…and to know, as we did in the campaigns enough to alert the Citizens of this Country about it and to imagine, LEAD, AND COOPERATE IN ACTIONS AGAINST THEM.
Griffin 11.07.08 at 9:09 am
The stealing of the presidency by that thug and his cronies IS NOT the end of the Pumas, but the beginning. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have been mostly asleep, politically speaking, for most of my life. Aside from voting, straight Democrat until this year, although I’ve always been registered as an independent, I have run screaming from anything that smacked of politics. Now, I have been galvanized by the evil that has crept over my country and threatens to swallow it whole. I have a deep, driving need to ACT. I may not be focused on any particular action at this moment, but I’m intelligent and educated and SEVERELY PISSED, and with the help of all the other Pumas, I can figure it out. WE can figure it out. Venting on this and other websites has its purpose, but it is no longer enough. It’s time we organized on a real life level, as in face-to-face. We need a central location, a headquarters, if you will, and we need centers in each state. We need to recruit on a massive scale. We need to figure out ways to strike back at anyone and anything that collaborated with that fraud. We need to devise plans for taking our country back and then implement them. I know, big talk, but damn it, I’m willing to act on it. Who else feels this way?
Woodie 11.07.08 at 9:09 am
Good morning
The way I look at its good to form another party etc. etc. however, if you do not address Obama and his improprieties now which were overlooked by mainstream media and the money he paid everyone to shut them up, in 4 yrs. he will do the same thing, put the obama machine in place and he will win again and you’ll be sitting there saying what happened and much more devistated the second time around. And that will be after you would have worked hard putting this all together.
The man is a fraud. Our government is corrupt. We need to address these problems now and make sure nothing like this ever happens again.
We could start with the cauces. What they get 300 people vote who on behalf of the whole state. Well Obama’s camp took advantage of that.
We need to address the fact he gave $800,000.00 to ACORN for the voter fraud per se. We need to address all the things that are wrong with Obama. Quite frankly, how he has enough nerve to stand before the American people and pretend he was fairly elected and say thank you for having the privilege to serve you as your President makes me want to throw up. I do not know how the military per se will even want to work for a Commander in Chief in my opinion that does not deserve it. He has no character, he got in by ignoring all our laws and we are going sit back and do nothing. He is laughing at us. He did the one thing that really pisses me off. He used the fact that in this day and age money is more important than everything. He threw it in our face and it worked.

We can march, email, fax, phone call, go on talk radio, carry our signs, etc. etc. That’s our right to demand to be heard. Ultimately…it will be same old, same old and people like Sarah Palin who call them out for what they are doing “Washington’s good ole boys” will be attacked. Sad as is seems, I feel Sexism and gender bias is here to stay when it comes to a woman being voted into the Presidency or Vice President. The men are never going to allow it and the women will always end up looking like they are making Sarah Palin is now. A JOKE.

The constant repeating of the same things and realizing it will only consume my life is not what I want to do daily. I’m not giving up or giving in but I can not and wil not take any more time away from the joys of life and my family. Ultimately…..we are not big enough or rich enough to make a difference. 18 Million voices were silenced and 2.7 million PUMAS votes proved my theory. Have a good day all.
NewOrleansPuma 11.07.08 at 9:29 am
One of 18million cracks: Precisely the attitude that the FRAUD and his cohorts will love to hear. If that is truly how you feel, then they have won. I do not and will not accept that nothing will ever change. It is the essence of being human on this earth that everything changes…Look at the horrific change that the FRAUD has brought. ..and seeks to bring…NO…We would never have had a country if the Americans of the 18th century thought that. NO.
The people of Poland would not have been free if after years and years, they felt that. NO. I hope in time you change your mind regarding this. I do not accept the conclusion based on life experience personally and culturally in history.
NO. On this you are wrong.
Griffin 11.07.08 at 9:35 am
Woodie: I accept nothing. I will not move on. Here is where I make my stand and I hope all the Pumas will, too. The one word that keeps screaming in my mind is “ENOUGH.” I have had enough. NO MORE.
Oneof18millioncracks: I wasn’t shocked, either. I knew what I was looking at the first time I saw him and I understand how the average American thinks. Or rather, doesn’t think. Most Americans are so ready to be swayed, romanced, hypnotized. We’ve raised a generation, or even two, of humans who see a pretty smile and hear pretty words, and they just believe. They want to believe. They need to believe. I don’t know if it’s television, or the Internet, or a poisonous combination of both, but we have a country full of people who are either unable or unwilling to think. Or both. They desperately want to believe and they will lie to themselves and anyone else they have to, to keep that delusion going. We first saw this syndrome with Bush, and now it’s reached full blossom with his Mirror Mirror twin, that thug. Perhaps they will wake up eventually, but the erosion of our freedom has almost gone too far for it to matter. We simply can’t wait any longer. Those of us who are wide awake and understand what we are seeing, MUST ACT. However, if by some miracle, we really begin something major here, things are going to get very ugly. We’ve been a minor annoyance up to this point. If we truly organize on the physical plane, as opposed to the virtual world of the Internet, and attempt to reverse this evil, we’ll call attention to ourselves in a whole new way, probably a very bad new way. We might as well realize that basic fact right up front.
Zee 11.07.08 at 9:35 am
Axel, why didn’t you just say so?
Why are you posting links to 9/11 sites? For all I knew, you were praising Berg for defending that.
Heaven knows when I warned people here not to read or use Corsi as a source, I didn’t link to all his conspiracy nuttery! I didn’t beat about the bush. I just said don’t trust Corsi because he invented that fake “amero” scare story when trying to sell a theory that the dollar was going to be replaced by a multinational currency.

Oh, and thanks, Axel.
I do know Andy Martin’s a nut. He had this entire thing on how Obama doesn’t have enough African blood to qualify as AA, that he was mostly Arab and that his father was the last generation to qualify as AA.
I mean, hello! Obama Sr. was African, not American! So regardless of make-up he could never be AA! Dumb stuff.
Woodie 11.07.08 at 9:44 am
NewOrleansPuma….that’s all very well and good but I think that is what we have been doing for the past 2 yrs. Look at Obama, you have to use Fire with Fire. Obama was the rat and McCain was the gentlemen and the one with character to spare. Where did it get him and where has it got us. Nowhere. The same can be said of Iraq, Aphganistan. They have a different philosophy of life totally from us. What we hold near and dear they do not. They couldn’t give a damn about democracy but we think this is what is good for them. You see what I am trying to say?
If you are going to beat these people you are going to have to come down to their level or outsmart them in some way that may work or else they will get the best of you. Even though Obama, he thinks he has won he will pay the price for being dishonorable, untruthful, and evil. This man has no scruples, he would put his mother under the bus, if he thought it would get him to where he wanted to be.

NewOrleansPuma: I greatly fear many Pumas feel the same way 18million does. They’re tired and discouraged to the point of despair. They fought hard and got just about nowhere. What I hope they can realize is that Puma PAC is brand-spanking-new and just starting to explore the possibilities. On the other hand, this Obama atrocity has been in the making for several years. I suspect that his cancerous tendrils have penetrated far deeper into America, and parts of the rest of the world, than anyone but he and his thugs actually know. How could we possibly expect to stop this steam roller at this point. But, I truly believe that we can become a steam roller in our own right, composed of millions of women, and men who respect and love women. We need to find our inner warriors. The gentler nature of the human female is wonderful, and absolutely necessary for the continuance of human life, but right now, we need to put that trait to the side and FIGHT. The female of every other species will fight for her and her young’s survival. Human females are no different, despite the brainwashing our society has engaged in for centuries to convince us otherwise. It’s an inspired, horribly effective control mechanism and we need to recognize it for what it is and reject it. We are fighting for our survival, make no mistake. So, Pumas, tired or not, in despair or not, FIND YOUR INNER WARRIOR. Or, you inner Bitch, if that’s more to your liking. But don’t just fade away, as if we don’t matter. WE MATTER. And it’s time the rest of this country, and the world, know it.

Hi friends. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post and excuse my absence. Been busy reading books(!), namely, “The true story of the Bilderberg Group” by Daniel Estulin, copyright 2007, TrineDay publishers. Also about Tri-Lats and Council on Foreign Relations.
Is a good review of the cabal of snot-nosed elites who think they have a right to rule my life, your life and everyone else’s life in the USA and the world.
Dan’s book includes a discussion of the mass media’s use of brainwashing techniques which comes from the Tavistock Institute in England AND the Rand Corp. here in the States and other orgs/agencies.
The traitor-media can’t fuck us up if we are not tuning into their lies, their shows.Keep those idiot-boxes off. Avoid brain drain.
More later.
Take care
Woodie 11.07.08 at 11:29 am
Griffin: Those who are susceptible to being brainwashed were brainwashed by Obama. He used a method of certain speaking patterns and hand movements. Some things were said over and over again and the media mirrored it. They think we are a bunch of idiots that we couldn’t see through this. I read a 67 pg. explanation of how it was all done. And it worked, didn’t it.
I am another person who decided not to watch TV….In fact, I think I will sell them. We as a people have been brainwashed by the media for years and those in turn have been paid to do just that. We have not heard the truth for a very long time. Its sickening. They keep us busy. They keep us on a “as need to know” status. In fact, they say because Americans are so busy working, taking care of their families, working and coming home, watch TV and go to bed routine, they are too tired or being distracted by watching rented movies, having ipods stuck in their ears, being told there are terrorists when there is no terrorists; being made to be afraid while “our rights and freedoms are taken away from us”. What do you think the Patriot Act was all about? Why do think Marshall Law has been enacted with a stroke of the pen by any president. They can virtually have control of everything and everyone in this country including your guns in a matter of hours. America needs to wake up!!!! My friends..You need to wake up.
Griffin 11.07.08 at 12:01 pm
Woodie: You know, I’ve only heard Obama’s voice once or twice. I instinctively recoiled from him from the first time I saw him. He set off a deep-seated dislike and distrust in me immediately, so I went looking to find out as much about him as I could. What I found horrified me, but I also knew that millions of foolish Americans would fling themselves at him in mindless adoration. As for me, I can’t stand the sound of his voice or his face. I stopped watching the news months ago and stopped reading the news a few weeks before the election. I have deleted all news sites from my computer. I don’t care what anyone in the mainstream media is saying. I don’t care what other countries are saying. Democracy is dead and the office of the president is a fraud. Now, I just want to band together with like-minded Americans and figure out a way to fight this.
Woodie 11.07.08 at 12:30 pm
Yeah I agree. Our decision on how we are going to do this is very important. I think really what you need to do is all meet somewhere in person and have a brain-storming session and come up with some real good ideas and do it.
We don’t want others to take advantage of us number one.. I know this statement is not going to be popular on this site but seeing I’ve decided to leave the country,
) seriously, it should be a political organization but not one aligned with the women’s movement. I had said before if things don’t work out with hillary, we will be crushed but it will hurt women and the status we have achieved so far. I was part of the 70’s women’s lib and all that including the Equal Rights Amendment if only that would have gone through. It was almost ratified accept for 3 states. What that would have meant for me and all other women was we wouldn’t have ended on so little social security and living in poverty. Did you know that a lot of women are just in that situation here in America. One’s of course who did not marry and have their husband’s retirement plans and social security. The way things stand now, all those 46 years I have worked,
what about the security of the social security. How many more years is it going to be there? Imagine all of us baby boomers, worked all our lives and end up poor, living in one room and ending up starving to death. If Obama has his way, he will do that, he is ruthless. heh thanks very much america and the corrupt politics and the greedy rich people who want to get richer on our backs. What do you think this $700 billion bail out was …they raped us and the country,
and everyone stands by and does nothing. I would like to believe that we are proud of the constitution, for what it stands for and we would stand up and fight if anyone would try and take that away from us.
Think of our forefathers who built this country from scratch. What they contributed to this country, for what, for a bunch of wooses (sp.) who want to be “politically correct”??? Give me a break.
Hoorah for the silent majority!!!!
It’s the anger coming out as I am sure we all feel…and I am no different. And this is how I deal with it….I haven’t cried yet..

one more thing and then i’ll shut up. How do I know they ripped us off?. After they supposedly voted for the $700 billion bailout. One of the companies who benefited from the bailout received $128 million dollars and they turned around and went on a spree in california to celebrate with our money and racked up a bill for $400,000.00 in some hotel here in California. Have those people been dealt with. Disciplined for misconduct. Using public funds, sent to jail no. Why, because it was a setup from the get go….

I’m told it was crocodile dung and lemon juice.
The lemon juice was acidic enough to prevent contraception, and the dung I believe was simply added to numerous Egyptian concoctions as something thought to enhance the potency of whatever it was mixed with.
I would say, though, that the earliest known contraceptive was actually “the sudden appearance of the jealous boyfriend”
