Watching the crowds celebrating Tuesday night in New York and Chicago I couldn’t help but smile and feel happiness for their elation. They see their struggle in the face of Barack Obama. His election is a victory of historic proportion for black Americans and a struggle that is 300 years old. They were deeply joyous and I wanted to share their joy. I was moved by it — how could anyone not be? I wanted to share their joy. But I can’t. We didn’t have a candidate in this race and even if Obama had been defeated I wouldn’t have felt HAPPY. I would have been proud of the country for not falling prey to a cult of personality and a $600,000,000 dollar marketing campaign. I can’t congratulate Obama because he cheated and used fraud to win. I can’t congratulate that and I won’t endorse it.
Watching the celebration I thought of Hillary and Sarah Palin and I realized the final glass ceiling is still firmly in place today. Unbudged, unbroken. Worse, a vision came to me of an alternate reality where Hillary had been allowed to be the nominee and had won the presidential election last night. Would there have been dancing in the streets? Would women have filled the parks and public squares to cry tears of relief and elation? Would the news commenters have reported in voices full of emotion and respectful homage to our great success?
And the answer is no. Profoundly no. The celebrations would have been small and private. We would have celebrated, of course, but we would have done it quietly. Our joy would have been hemmed on all sides by the implacable rejection of our presence in the public sphere, and the relentless undermining of our insistence on being as free and as powerful as men.
And so we are homeless today. The Democratic Party is no longer our home and the Republican Party never was. But we are not alone. There really ARE millions of us. But we don’t have the habit of being free and acting together as a force. That must change.
Puma PAC goes on. We are officially EX-PARTISAN now. Not Democrats and not Republicans. There are millions of unhappy Republicans and Independents today of course. We’ve met many of them here in the last several weeks. As of today, ALL are welcome to be a part of Puma PAC. Our mission has not changed, except for one thing — we are no longer working to reform the Democratic Party. Our job is bigger than that, as we learned last night. We are working to reform the ENTIRE political landscape, including both of the major parties and all of our public institutions, especially the media.
I invite every American to join us. If you believe in the fundamental preciousness of democracy and our constitution, you are a Puma. If you believe EVERY American deserves the chance to compete fairly and fully in whatever arena they choose, you are a Puma. If you believe our political process has been OVERRUN by dirty money and influence, you are a Puma. If you believe the media is fatally corrupted and America needs a free and functioning press, you are a Puma. If you believe political discussion in this country has become a frenzied hate-fest that divides the people and makes us weak, and you want to help change that, you are a Puma.
Join us. The only way we will beat $600 million dollars is with 20 million people. People who are decent and brave and willing to fight and to work. People who believe in fair play, honesty, integrity, and honor.
If Barack Obama had been a good and honorable man, if he had fairly won his election, I would have been dancing in the streets along with my black fellow and sister Americans. But he is not and he did not. And so I cannot.
Our struggle is bigger today than we had hoped it might be. We now have a higher hill to climb. That’s okay with me. I’m a woman and I’m used to struggle. I’m part of one that is SIX THOUSAND YEARS OLD.
I won’t give up. Our goal is to make democracy work again for every American, every time and in every place. So that the PEOPLE of our country once again ARE the government of our great nation.
Join us.

People if you remember any of your American history then you know that we had the Wig Party and the Republican Democrats, along with the Federalist party. These were the three main parties that we had at the start of our Neo-European country that we know call America.
What happened after Jefferson got into office I do believe was when we started to have primaries. And at the time the idea of having primary elections seemed to work. Also the electoral college was a quick fix for the votes that were cast. But it says in the constitution that a Head of State would have to be the one to make the choice to get RID of the college.
This has not happened. And I believe that it WON’T happen as long as the people allow it to happen. For a president would not get rid of something that puts him into power right? So it is along the lines that if it isn’t broke don’t fix it.
I am looking at this country like how Athens was. We built a good democracy but it is starting to fall apart. And I believe that if we don’t try to reform the laws that we will go the way of all ancient civilizations and that is…we will STOP excising all together.
Us Historian’s see the writing on the wall…but does the rest of the country see it?

I have long believed that the elimination of the electoral college is a basic to campaign reform. Without the EC, the current process could not continue. With the EC, we get cheated of a fair and honest election. The politicians do the same thing the public schools do when they teach to the test. It cheats us all out of a truely democratic election.
Ario 11.05.08 at 11:48 pm
goofs…if u noticed…lol..we start out at like 1 am on the hunt…around 330 am we start creating trouble…aint that right mountain…btw she claims to not be an overnight puma but we all know differently!

admin 11.05.08 at 11:49 pm
oh I agree Ario. completely. I hope pumabear reposts his comment from downstairs because I agree with him too.
obama IS setting back race relations because the stench of fraud and corruption emanates from him so strongly to anyone who hasnt been blinded by the “light” of The One.
and that makes people ANGRY.
this is NOT a good election. Don’t get me wrong. I am NOT advocating complacency, or giving in to a cheap feel-good glow.
We need Puma PAC to stay strong and united because you are right — there is A LOT of anger out there. And as more and more crap about what really went down comes out MORE people will be angry.
We are the avant-garde. That’s how we were in the primaries, but we started too late. By June 3rd the fix had been in for a LONG time.
Never again.
As the angry and disaffected people from all parties wake up and shake off either the ridiculous euphoria OR the unbridled hate WE can be a home for them.
We are in GROWTH mode now.
justnotright 11.05.08 at 11:49 pm
Murphy,
I am interested in where this is going. I am definitely a potential member, but this is a new direction and I’m interested in seeing a mission statement, to see how exactly we intend to bring reform to the political landscape. John McCain and Sarah Palin promised reform and the electorate answered with a big yawn. It’s like they don’t care if their lawmakers are corrupt. If the political parties see that the masses of people won’t care if their corrupt, whats the incentive to reform?
I don’t mean to sound negative, these are just soem of the challenges.
matt2008A 11.05.08 at 11:49 pm

As PUMAs move forward with their platform, please keep in mind that the only real right we have that is constantly under attack is our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. If you have not done so, join the NRA, give them your support. They need it more than ever now…support only politicians that support the 2nd Amendment, regardless of party affiliation or gender. Make the NRA website one of your favorites NRA Website A year’s membership is only $35.00. We must get through the next 4/8 years with our right to bear arms still intact.

How long will this honeymoon for obama last in the media? It has been a non-stop Obama lovefest for a couple of years now.
The media was eager to go after Bill Clinton on anything and everything but Obama can do no wrong in their eyes and they refuse to hold him accountable for anything.

Agenda Item Number One for ALL PUMAS:
Turn OFF the TV.
seriously. you DONT need it. BREAK the addiction. that’s what it is– a 24-hour morphine drip of lies and spin, brought to you by millionaires to keep you dumb, lazy, and confused.
You may think this comment belongs in the tin foil hat forum, but it doesnt.
It’s true.
Turn OFF the tv. seriously.
You can get EVERYTHING you need from the internet — even movies and stuff.
Read Greta Wire. Read Riverdaughter. Read Cannonfire. And read here too (please?)
When really really important stuff happens, it hits the internet FIRST. there is absolutely NOTHING that you need from TV.
MakowashiNatsuko 11.05.08 at 11:54 pm
Murphy,
two fights broke out on campus and the dorms that I am living at today…between a black and a white person. And other blacks were cheering Obama’s name while people fought…the police broke it up after awhile though.

(Dang. Embarrassed. Just posted this downstairs)
==== =========== ==========================
I think that one of the strategies I am hearing is that we field our own candidates & begin at the local level.
Yes, but also this: perhaps we should adjust our scope to fit our size. For example, we select a few very very visible targets for exposure, and we all join together and focus on that specific target. Be it media, be it a congressional Dem or a senator. We ALL focus on a few selected targets. And we keep it up for a very long time. From each according to her ability. We select whom to expose in order to bring attention to how they have failed the public trust. Some of us research. Some of us write letters. Some of us focus media attention on our target. And we always identify ourselves as PUMAs.
If we can draw attention to these targets then we draw attention to our organization and our expectations that public servants and the media must be held to the highest standards. Grow members who believe we all have a right to demand the best.
One idea for PUMAs to consider.
Zee 11.05.08 at 11:56 pm
Local is the key. National database guarantees fraud.
I think we need regional conferences with informed speakers and panel discussions.
CODEPink is a model of more than just colorful protests. They’ve participated in conferences. We can attend like-minded conferences with our ideas, plus hold some of our own…to brainstorm these ideas to begin with!

Thank you so much for defending Palin’s honor to that Obama cyberbully. That took a lot of courage on your part and I’m so proud of you. The Obamabites are not only disgusting but clueless. I agree with you that a BO victory is nothing to celebrate. His appointment of Emmanuel as his Chief of Staff does not seem bi-partisan especially with his confrontational style with Republicans. BO is all smoke and mirrors.
Anyway, your comments made my day. Big Puma hug…..

Thanks for the great post, Murphy.
Bernard Goldberg on right now on O’Reilly saying the black reporter telling about his own feelings regarding the BO election was inappropriate because he should have found someone ELSE with a similar story. He loses credibility. Well. yeeaah! It is just wrong and stupid. The media sucks.
Also, the political parties are a problem for reform: Remember during the primary and caucus/DNC fiasco we were told they can do whatever they want because they are basically PRIVATE clubs(???)and we had no right to demand justice from them. So they did just that. And they chose NOT to vette BO because there’s no requirement by anything to do that. Then the courts say after the fact, it was the Party’s job to check his eligibility. Well, I think we should do something to change this ridiculous catch 22 scenario. Just my pet peeve-the catch 22. Grrrr! Godd-night. See you tomorrow!

Your metabolism is slower when watching TV than it is when you are just doing nothing.
When you’re doing “nothing”, youre mind is still processing random thoughts, memories, tasks, chores, grocery lists, whatever. When you’re watching tv, your mind is basically numb, in a state of inactivity.

Dear Meetup Member,
The Organizer of The Hillary Clinton Meetup Group
stepped down without nominating a successor. If no one steps
up as organizer by November 20, 2008, this Meetup Group will
disappear forever. You can keep this Meetup Group of 31 H R
Clinton Supporters together by taking over as Organizer.
It’s a real & rewarding responsibility, and Meetup will help
you each step of the way.
As Organizer, you’ll get special access to tools specifically
designed for managing and growing a local OFFLINE community
group. Thousands of people take great pride in being a Meetup
Group Organizer because they’re helping others connect and
create community.
While Organizers are responsible for paying a monthly Meetup
Fee, many Meetup Groups share the cost among their members –
this often breaks down to a few dollars per member.
Plus there’s a 30-day money back guarantee. Step up today and
if you are not satisfied with the Meetup service, we’ll give
you a full refund.

I agree! For the next four years, I will only be watching Hannity, Greta, or the BBC.
Rush – Limbaugh cannot be blamed for Hillary’s defeat in the primaries. It was the dumb DP that allowed voters from other parties to vote in their primaries. The Reps have figured out that it isn’t a good idea to have the other side selecting your nominee. That system is so open to manipulation and fraud.

Beautifully written, and I will be passing that on at myspace and through email, we can not give up, WHY? Because this is not enevitable…we will BOUNCE back, but it WILL take some work…so while Obama is busy lying and covering up, and trying to soft coat his mistakes that will come, we can be forming our own PAC. AND out DO ACORN, legitimately! PEOPLE will NO DOUBT again find themselves disinfranchised with the “system” so we can be ready ONCE AGAIN to take a NEW BOLD DIRECTION….
I can’t help but KNOW as the writing suggested IF Hillary had won, it would NOT have garnered the attention of the media hounds, and the “celebs” it would have probably been a lot of speculation and whispering as to how she would FAIL….
I realize that women are beneath even race which still is unequal today, and OBAMA will do nothing to change that cold fact…
WOMEN are NOT ever going to be formidable unless we DECIDE collectively to STAND for ALL women, even SARAH PALIN trying to make a difference! AND not take the constant backlash of the slimy media scum!
AT LEAST we have our work cut out for us!

kids….meetup groups and yahoogroups aren’t run by candidates necessarily. They can be started by anyone for any common interest.
For instance, I belong to the dachshund meet-up. We meet once or twice a month with all our doxies, and pay the leader a dollar each for organizing the group.
It’s local, not national.

#70 Zee,
I was thinking of writing the exact same thing as I am watching HGTV. It has turned out to be a major stress reliever! House Hunters International is the best. Tonight was Costa Rica but they were looking at overpriced American places. The places on the actual real estate websites in Costa Rica are much much cheaper.
It is only 2 1/2 hours from Miami too.
Anyway I have a very hard time believing that 9 million more people voted for Obama than McCain.

You can’t enter a security code when there’s no security code entry spot, not to mention that there’s no security code shown to put in the security code spot if there was one to enter a security code into. Murphy, Pumas take heart. You are the true heroes of our movement. We’re down, all of us are down because the righteous cause that we stood up for has been attacked, undermined and dismissed by the Party we thought we loved and that we thought loved us.
The ruthlessness of this slick, mean and well funded operation run by the Obama camp and its supporters came as a surprise because we thought we were we could influence an organization that was only using us to advance its own goals and hypnotize the masses. Our eyes are open now and we remain in crisis. It is time to rebuild for the fight ahead-and there will be one.
Should we now consider ourselves homeless, we are not alone, there are millions of us.
I have a fund raising strategy which I would like to discuss in private (email to action center) since fascist Obots are squatting on our sight.
In the meantime, I’m going to the donate sight to donate the biggest amount I can right now $500 and will pledge to give between $50 and $100 each month, more if I can.
I will send my donation confirmation.

Great way to get your mind off of what is going on in the world:
A. go take history classes/english classes at a university.
B. these classes will give you tons of books to read.
C. said classes will give you test.
D. REPORTS THAT ARE DO TO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER!
E. STRESS ABOUT YOUR GRADES
F. GET SICK WORRYING OVER SAID GRADES AND GETTING READY FOR MIDTERMS AND FINALS.
G. Finals end, to tired to be worried about anything else, you lay back and sleep for the month you get off.
That is how you get your mind off the media. You are covered in blankets of paper and school work. *bows* thank you for listening.

#33 admin — I don’t think I’ve ever read a better piece of advice anywhere today than your agenda item #1 for all PUMAs — turn off the tv. There was a discussion about this earlier today on a previous thread. Unfortunately, many PUMAs seem to feel it’s a point of pride and principle to remain addicted to their soaps and other ‘regular tv’ programs on abc, cbs, nbc. They seem to feel that if they simply boycott the news programs and the advertisers’ products/services, they’re being true to the PUMA agenda. I agree with you completely that tv is a ‘24-hour morphine drip of lies and spin.’ Moreover, it’s one of the worst perpetrators of sexism/misogyny/male supremacism in our society. I’ve permanently turned off the tv. I’d rather read, become well-informed and come to my own conclusions than get high on what some corrupt corporate conglomerate board of directors wants to con me into believing. Thank you.

I think the Repubs may have wanted an O win. I think they disliked McCain and they hated the Clinton. They got rid of both by clearing the way for O. A key factor in bringing down the Clintons was separating them from their AA base PERMANENTLY. AAs now HATE Hillary. Separating WOMEN from AAs was also a strategy. OBO used the rappers, gangsters, misogyny to disrupt the bond that could have existed between the two.
The press and the Repubs just wrung their hands worrying about appearing racist if they attacked OBO. Hillary couldn’t attack him either. If you think about it, it is amazing that the OBO camp and OBO himself could accuse the two most powerful and respected democrats in the last 40 years of being racists AND GET AWAY WITH IT.
I believe OBO made a deal with the most powerful movers and shakers behind the Repubs to Lay Off if he got rid of their enemies. Of course, paying off the press and the rest of the media (especially the prog comedy shows and women’s gab programs)to be his shills didn’t hurt him at all.
Women under thirty have no idea that they have become the purveyors of the pornographic misogyny that’s used against them. I spoke to a couple of young ones who didn’t think the attacks against Hill and especially Palin were so bad because they HATED her for her views on contraception, etc. A liberal guy with them said it was too bad Progressive women (Hillary) couldn’t be as attractive as Palin. Blew my mind.
Let’s not forget Sandra Bernhart (loser) with her rape threats against Palin, Rhandi Rhodes (Ugh), Nancy Pelosi, OPRAH, Barbara Walters, Whoopie Goldberg, Madonna, Sybil Shepard, Sigourny Weaver, Betty White, Gloria Steinem,Rosa Brookes and Meghan Daum at the LA Times, the list goes on and on. I think we should remind them that they have done an injury to the cause of WOMEN FOREVER, and they should not be excused. ALL of these prominent WOMEN were used as the vehicle for misogynistic hatred. Track them down and GET IN THEIR FACES. Were they paid or are they just dumb?
If anybody knows how to reach the sponsors or publicists of the above sell-out females please post them.

Before I go…we have GOT to find a better system of managing these messages. Most of us feel adrift with family and friends because of the stand we’ve taken…the last effing thing we need to be ignored here. I mean really. This subject has come up numerous times over the past few months. There are solutions. I’ll work on it if you want. People are feeling alienated right now and we are not going to be a safe haven if they drum up the courage to post and then get ignored because regulars are in a dialogue and don’t bother to include them.
This one should be handled asap…again I’ll but in the time to help with a solution.

10% of Hillary supporters did NOT vote for Obama.
I think that’s a pretty big number: 1.8 million Pumas right off the bat on November 5th.
Now we need 1.8 million Republicans and 1.8 million Independents.
then we can have our OWN media. a FREE media.
the bought and paid for media has become an organ of a corrupt state.
it’s the media people.
only the internet can save us now.

I have long believed that the elimination of the electoral college is a basic to campaign reform. Without the EC, the current process could not continue. With the EC, we get cheated of a fair and honest election. The politicians do the same thing the public schools do when they teach to the test. It cheats us all out of a truely democratic election.
//
========
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR! WITHOUT THE EC, THE BIG POPULOUS URBAN CENTERS DOMINATE, and that’s where O-bin-Biden was strongest. I know you’re used to thinking that emphasizing urban dominance is good for the liberal cause, but the EC provides a buffer.
And, in this case, it provides a breathing space an possible route to dislodge O-bin-Biden before Inauguration.

Rush of course, blames McCain’s loss on his not being a conservative.
“If only he were a conservative he would have won.”
I think that after a loss you can make up any reason you want to believe and say that’s the reason why they lost.
Personally I think I gave voters far too much credit for assuming they would care that they were electing an abusive misogynist and narcissist who ran for president – not because he loves his country – but because he hates it and wants to rebuild it in his image.
The backlash against Bush was so strong and they made McCain the scapegoat for his sins.
Collateral damage: TWO women who had a chance at the white house were visciously smeared, one war hero and bipartisan moderate lost his chance to keep the country stable through a global crisis and thousands of PUMAs lost a political home.
The Democratic Party is the Obama/Dean/Pelosi/Reid party now, and that ain’t going to change anytime soon. If Hillary humiliates herself to them some more, maybe they will let her do something productive at some point.

PUMAbear, I agree with you 100 per cent. The Republicans always think long term. This was a strategy to divide the Dems most ardent supporters.
And I think writing to each and every one of those women leaders is imperative. The New Agenda had a horrendous quote from a purported feminist and all day I’ve been thinking of writing to her.
So far, for immediate actions I think we should write to the sell-out feminists and as mentioned in the thread downstairs we should pressure Obama to appoint women.
Maybe a two-fer….write to each of these women deploring their tactics and ask them if they would like to join us in asking Obama to appoint women in his cabinet.
jenniforhillary 11.06.08 at 12:38 am
I keep trying to go to sleep, but the tears won’t stop. I am sad way down deep where it hurts, and the hurt doesn’t really every go away. I feel very alone.
The worst thing for me today was listening to all my ‘friends’ tell me how it won’t be so bad, he might do some good, etc., etc. When I said UNFLINCHINGLY that anyone whose best friends are Wright, Pflegger, Farrakhan and Ayers WILL DO NOTHING BUT BAD AND TO THINK OTHERWISE IS EXTREMELY IGNORANT they actually gave me looks of pain and said that I was BUMMING THEM OUT. One of my ‘friends’ actually told me that he might do some good being a positive role model for blacks (she is a woman, a jew, and WAS someone I thought highly of). When I asked her which trait she felt they should emulate most–the lying, the cheating, or the misogyny–she told me she would pray for me.
I don’t want your prayers and I don’t want you pity. Stop spinning what happened and what might happen. We elected Hitler Junior. We meaning America. The land of the free and the home of the brave. Is dead. And my heart too.
If the only burden I have to bear is the thought of these men (Nobama, Wright, Pflegger and Ayers) laughing at me and stupid America, I can handle it (note: I have a plan I will discuss later that wil give me some solace regarding these fools). HOWEVER, to think of the money and the madness behind BO and think that we are safe and everything is going to be okay is dumb. And I don’t do dumb.
Maybe I need to take a few days and let my heart rest. The only problem is these damn tears….

PUMA has seemed like an organization that’s 80% about stifling Obama, and 20% about getting a woman into the White House. (I’ve turned a blind eye to fact that some of the people here are just unapologetically racist — they do NOT represent the whole). That kind of passion is hard to pivot and redirect now that the election is over. I’ve asked before what’s going to happen from here on out, but it was most convenient to just take things one day at a time. And now, here we are.
So I’m curious… What application of PUMA resources seems like the best choice at this juncture if only one could be the main focus:
A: Obstruct Obama’s agenda — combat his choices for cabinet positions and any legislation he’s associated with. Make him unpopular.
B: Adjust Obama’s agenda — now that he’s in office, attempt to force his hand to enact policies beneficial to us. Leverage his popularity to accomplish things.
C: Focus on support — pick a group of legislators that meet PUMA ideals and raise their visibility in the press and bolster their popularity / effectiveness.
D: Focus on offense — pick a group of legislators that are prime offenders and don’t cease hammering them just because campaigning isn’t happening now.

If Free Republic and rush Limbaugh is any indication, the Republicans were NOT hoping for Obama to win. They did not like McCain too much but the LOVED Sarah Palin and to say they willingly let the election go to Obama is a misrepresentation about what really happened.
I ran into a Barr voter the other day. Now THERE is someone who you can say intentionally voted in a way that they knew would help bring on an Obama presidency.
But Republicans were solid behind McCain after Palin came on board.
I think it would be more accurate to say that many 2004 Bush voters were upset with Bush’s performance and they were so disgusted that they voted Obama, but these are casual Republicans and not indicative of the active party as a whole.

Billie Jo, I do not know but I’m sure there ARE lots of Pumas who feel uncomfortable when they read a comment they strongly disagree with, whether it’s gun control or economics, etc.
that’s our challenge. and it’s not a small one.
Can we stay united with people who are different from us? With people who disagree about many political issues?
Or do we all slink away, off the internet, back to our partisan blogs and give up on ever being a real, effective, long-lasting movement?
I can’t predict the future and I can’t make each person magically agree with each other person.
I wont allow this blog to become a hate site of any kind — republican OR democrat.
But I wont be able to agree with everything everybody says either.
Here’s what I do when I read a comment that is, in my opinion, either misguided, unsophisticated, or flat-out crazy: I imagine the exact same thing being said by someone I love but with whom I dont agree on lots of things, like say my Uncle Edgar. He’s SO wrong about so many things but I love him and I understand him — I can see WHY he thinks what he thinks and so I dont dismiss or insult him. I let him be who he is and hope that exposure to my AWESOME RIGHTNESS

I understand. I feel so alone here in Australia about this myself. I don’t know a single person here who is not an Obama supporter. That includes my wife. Thankfully, her support seems a bit muted but that may be just to spare my feelings.
My wife is one of those Obama supporters that like him because she likes his speeches. When I try to tell her about the thug behind the mask, she doesn’t want to hear it. Probably describes a lot of Obama supporters you know.
Zee 11.06.08 at 1:02 am
BillieJo, the NRA suggestion was not a PUMApac agenda, it was just a suggestion by a member. And illustrates very clearly why we’re not going to be starting any “new party” when we have a coalition here of people with very different philosophies. We can all agree on reforming our electoral process, and taking on the sexism in the media, and in an Obama administration. I am sure PUMApac and The New Agenda and others in the coalition will find a very good course of action/s for us!
And, alohapuma, perhaps threads will help us to keep track of topics and newcomers, etc. I saw a place once where there is a “reply” button at the bottom of each comment. The replies are hidden unless you open that option. That would be the best way to add threads without disrupting the look of the site.

The gay vote in California, that was a shock to me. Atlas readers know the high regard I hold for Senator Norm Coleman. He ran a tight race against that human stain, the demented Al Franken. Frank lost, but like all libtards, refuses to bow out and instead is torturing the electorate.
Coleman needs our help. Please. The Republican Jewish Coalition has sent out this alert. Coleman is a wonderful friend and supporter of Israel (as is Saxby Chambliss – that was a great win for us).
Norm Coleman – Recount Volunteer Opportunities
Senator Coleman needs your help immediately!
I am sure you have heard the news already that Senator Norm Coleman has a very tight lead in his race against Al Franken. Because the race was so close, by state law there must be a recount. Team Coleman is in URGENT need of volunteers to serve at precincts throughout Minnesota to observe the recount process. It’s imperative they locate 150-200 people who can take personal time from their respective jobs and lives and be deployed on behalf of Senator Coleman.
If you live in Minnesota, they need your help! If you live outside of Minnesota and are willing to come to Minnesota to help they also need your help!! The Coleman campaign must work through the recount process successfully and be sure Senator Coleman is properly represented. Deployed representatives can expect proper reimbursement and handling of travel expenses. More details are forthcoming later today.
Team Coleman will also need funding for the recount effort. In addition to all other contributions, individuals will be able to donate $2,300 per person or $5,000 PAC. More to come on this effort.
If you or those you know can take the time to volunteer and be deployed around Minnesota to represent Senator Coleman in this pivotal recount, please contact Tom McGill at 651-434-9735 or by email tmcgill@colemanforsenate.com.

So I have a question now, that the campaign is over, maybe someone can explain. We know we are right and O won the nomination and the presidency through MASSIVE fraud, I always knew that and trusted the PUMAs when they say that. But
1) Why didn’t Hillary or her circle bring the slightest hint about the extensive fraud in the primaries
2) Why didn’t Mccain and the army of GOP lawyers sue the heck out of the O’cheater?
We know Obama couldn’t have won Florida by himself, there are millions of disenfranchised voters. Why is McCain not suing and letting ACORN/Obama get away with it?
I am really confused…
Also, I’m preparing some important points I think we should add to our charter going forward.

The History professor that I am teaching it is a very short and constipated little man who believes that the world is against him. He is teaching the course that the American’s were very cruel to the American’s that came here….he’s trying to balance it out but it’s not working.
I agreed with him that the sad truth was that the American’s after the revolution were NOT really American’s and that they were still infact Neo-Europeans.
I also argued that what happened to the Native American’s were just and un-cruel where he argues with me that slavery was even worse. Which made me almost lose my temper. I am 1/16 Cherokee and felt as though he didn’t give a damn.
Not to say he left out Indiana from the 1812 war…saying that nothing IMPOTENT happened there….I feel as though I’ve been cheated in having a professor for American history.

Earlier I made a comment about supporting the NRA, which is probably the comment that BillieJo referred to. I would never expect PUMAPac to take up the 2nd Amendment as an initiative, and if I gave that impression, it was unintentional. What I do hope is that there are thousands of Puma members who do value our 2nd Amendment rights, and don’t want to see them disappear. The 2nd Amendment is not a Republican/Democratic issue. Personally, I’m scared shitless that over the next 4/8 years our gun ownership rights are going to get attacked like never before, especially with the virally anti-gun philosophy that Obama holds. They own congress now, and can even write their own amendments if they feel so inclined…how about an amendment that rewrites the 2nd one to say that gun ownership is illegal by private citizens? Think it can’t happen? Think again. In this atmosphere, I regard Warner’s win in Virginia as a huge plus. I admit, my litmus test for the next 4/8 years is does the guy/gal support the 2nd amendment? If yes I’ll support him/her, and I don’t give a rat about the party. It’s that important to me…my own version of what Hillary meant to the pumas, I suppose, would be a close analogy. I’m still with you guys, because I think you are all good people. And for you members that want to keep our 2nd amendment intact, and not have it whittled away the next 4/8 years, please please please support the NRA.

Zee, The plastic surgery experience was great, everyone was from the U.S. except one woman from Barbados. The surgeries are very inexpensive and the retreats were $75 with 3 meals and a nurse. Excellent care. This is a special from 20/20. This is not me!

hillstheone 11.06.08 at 12:31 am:
No one knows the truth about the BC legitimacy question. We may never know. In the meantime, my answer to the BC arguments would be this:
1. Mass Caucus Fraud
2. Voter Disenfranchisement
3. Unprecedented financial manipulation of the media
4. Rev Wright
5. Louis Farahkan
6. Bill Ayers
7. Dreams Of My Father – Lies, Lies, and more Lies
8. Acorn – Massive Voter Registration Fraud
9. Millions of Dollars in Questionable Donors
10.Refusal to make any records available on his history
The List of questionable issues surrounding Who and What Barack Hussein Obama is and where he actually comes from is unending.
Whatever you wish to believe about this man is either what he has spent hundreds of millions of dollars convincing you to believe or what you so desperately need to believe. Either way, the questionable circumstances regarding his Birth Certificate are, in my opinion, as wrought with fraud as is his entire political career. So, believe as you will – you apparently do not care about the truth.
Therefore, as a true follower of his, when you renew your Driver’s License – take lots of hundred dollar bills and pay off everyone in the building to vouch for you; next, just tell the clerk your name but refuse to prove you are who you say you are; then, call everyone who questions you a racist, bitter old bitch for even researching your driving records – and don’t forget to pee on their name tags and threaten their lives for questioning your true identity in the first place!
That’s my rant on the BC issue – now a mute point – at least for the time-being.

Thanks for explaining, I can handle your explaination and concern when you want to keep your right to have gun. I myself live in the Bay Area where there are many gangs and kids totin’ guns and the death rate is very high. That being said, I seriously don’t think BO will take guns away from the Hood. We can’t even control illegal sales of guns…then again why would any citizen need a semi-automatic gun at all. I am the wrong person to discuss this with since I don’t like guns, but I tell ya, if this country were invaded…I would get me one of them thar guns for sure.

You made me flash on a song by Stan Rogers, “The Mary Ellen Carter”:
Video : http://www.last.fm/music/Stan+Rogers/+videos/+1-dNRNMeozSWQ
Lyrics excerpt:
…
And you, to whom adversity has dealt the final blow
With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go
Turn to, and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain
And like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.
Rise again, rise again – though your heart it be broken
And life about to end
No matter what you’ve lost, be it a home, a love, a friend.
Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.
———————————————–
Singing that song to themselves has saved lives. Many testimonials.
+++++======
The specific phrase appears in another of his songs, “Privateers”:
Audio : http://deesays.vox.com/library/audio/6a00c2252802de604a00d09e47b79ebe2b.html
Lyrics:
Oh, the year was 1778,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
A letter of marque came from the king,
To the scummiest vessel I’d ever seen.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
Oh, Elcid Barrett cried the town,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
For twenty brave men all fishermen who,
Would make for him the Antelope’s crew.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
The Antelope sloop was a sickening sight,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
She’d a list to the port and and her sails in rags,
And the cook in scuppers with the staggers and the jags.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
On the King’s birthday we put to sea,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
We were ninety-one days to Montego Bay,
Pumping like madmen all the way.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
On the ninety-sixth day we sailed again,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
When a bloody great Yankee hove in sight,
With our cracked four pounders we made to fight.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
The Yankee lay low down with gold,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
She was broad and fat and loose in the stays,
But to catch her took the Antelope two whole days.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
Then at length she stood two cables away,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
Our cracked four-pounders made awful din,
But with one fat ball the Yank stove us in.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
The Antelope shook and pitched on her side,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
Barrett was smashed like a bowl of eggs,
And the main truck carried off both me legs.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.
Now here I lay in my twenty-third year,
HOW I WISH I WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW!
It’s been six long years since we sailed away,
And I just made Halifax yesterday.
God damn them all!
I was told we’d cruise the seas for American gold,
We’d fire no guns – shed no tears;
Now I’m a broken man on a Halifax pier,
The last of Barrett’s Privateers.

Hills the one and Zee. Thanks for your comments. Remember way back in the ninties Hillary was the MOST hated woman in the Repub world because she was a fighter. The right wing tried to bring the Clintons down with everything they had, imprisoning their friends, accusing them or murder, impeaching Bill. But it did not work because AA’s LOVED the Clintons. And they were 100% loyal. Only an AA could have destroyed that bond. Since I am AA I am well aware. Two years ago there was a small effort to disrupt Obama by Hills loyal supporters but the “community organizer” with the help of hidden hands, the DNC and the progressives was able to perpetuate the racist fraud and pressure local AA politicos into switching sides. W/O the AAs Hill had to retool her message. Believe me, Obama has stoked hatred against her. While OBO was pretending to be MLK, Jack Kennedy, Robert Kennedy to the blk and white audience as a bi-racial he was posing as Malcom X for the black community. Remember Spike Lee? Obama quoted from his film.
Long story short, the repubs (Rove, etc,) knew victory was a long shot with unpopular Bush. During the primaries many said Brazile was a dinner guest of Rove. Cooking up something.
Rove was pretty quiet and neutral about OBO. Hillary and Rove HATE each other. The Repubs know how to play the race card better than anyone. It’s their stock in trade but they didn’t really use it on OBO.
OBO encouraged repubs whose primaries were finished to switch parties and cross over against Hillary. They did, while Hill was ahead and she looked unstoppable. But their aim was always the destruction of the Clintons.
When the glow fades there will be increased scrutiny of OBO and probably scandals and he will be in the hot seat for the meltdown and international trouble to come. He will bungle everything. There will be rampant corruption from his chickens comng home to roost to claim their prize, positions and money for loyalty. Voila end of civil rights movement, end of women’s movement, end of Clintons, end of unified demo party. Enuff said.
My other thought was about terrible sexist sellout women. MKfrom LA suggests prowling them at their venues, or personally in some way. Maybe contact their agents. I don’t think sponsors for actresses could do anything. Rhandi Rhodes is a potty mouth “Shock Jock” so hmmmmm have to think about that one, etc.

So to all my fellow PUMA’S try to get rest. We have a LONG road ahead of us and even us rurouni need rest, food, and trying to have some relaxation on our long path ahead of us.
The Battle has been lost but the war is FAR from being over remember that. Keep faith alive in your hears and please do not let that light of hope burn out. We all need to be strong if we are going to get through this.

You know Obumbus will come after us. But you know also i am not one bit scared of him. He is not unbeatable.I am so better now and more relaxed than in a long time. I have a gut feeling about PUMAS growing very, very big.He can track me with his cookies,he can threaten me and i know i would laugh straight into his face.We can do anything. Excerpt:
I’d like to say, as I watched the supporters, running through the streets celebrating, that they deserved it, that they worked hard, and put up an honest fair political fight. That they just wanted it more. But then I couldn’t help think of the personal attacks on me, from the day I typed *I support Hillary*. I can’t forget the anonymous personal attacks, and death threats and worse, left on my blog, for discussing the race. I couldn’t help but watch the crowd, and think, “are they someone who called me a whore or a racist c*nt?” I can’t forget the caucus fraud that was witnessed all over the country in the primary. I can’t forget the attacks on African Americans who didn’t support Obama. I can’t forget that someone told Soldier4Hillary that they hoped she died in Iraq, because she supported Hillary. I couldn’t help think of the Black Panthers I saw, in Philadelphia standing in front of the polling place, threatening voters. I can’t forget the death threats on Tavis Smiley for criticizing Obama. I can’t forget the Super Delegates who received death threats for supporting Hillary.
Ranging jabs, then hard uppercuts. Great stuff!

Joe the Plumber Angered: ‘I’m Just a Private Citizen’
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 3:39 PM
By: Jim Meyers
Joe Wurzelbacher — better known as Joe the plumber — tells Newsmax that he was “angered” by the background checks Ohio officials ran on him after he was mentioned by John McCain at a presidential debate.
Asked by Newsmax’s Ashley Martella for his thoughts on the Barak Obama election victory, Joe said on Wednesday:
“I’m disappointed, but the American people have spoken. They’ve gotten what they wanted. Now it’s time to make sure that he goes to work for us. He’s got a lot of work to do.”
VIDEO: Joe the Plumber Interview: ‘Angered Me, I’m Just a Private Citizenhttp://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/joe_the_plumber/2008/11/05/148122.html?s=al&promo_code=7073-1
He said the multiple background checks by officials in Ohio “angered me. I’m just a private citizen … That scares me just for the simple fact that other people might hesitate on questioning our elected officials and that worries me greatly for America.
“I’m not real happy about that at all.”
Asked if he felt the Democratic Party was behind the checks, he responded: “I’m not going to say they’re completely behind it. Maybe people who were connected to them.
“They wanted to find out something so they could try to discredit me.
“But to sit there and say that Barack Obama was directly responsible for such a thing — no, I’m not going to say something like that.”
Joe declared that for the Republicans to “get back into the game” following their election defeat, “they’ve got to remember that they’re conservatives.
“As soon as people say the Republican Party, all they think about is big business and corporations and guys that make $30 million a year. That’s not the case. I’ve voted Republican a lot in my lifetime because of conservative core values that built America. That’s what I think they need to get back to.”
Asked if he still plans to buy a plumbing business, as he originally stated, or to run for elected office, Joe said he could “better serve my fellow man by working with a new watchdog group I’m coming up with,” called Secure Our Dream.com, “that essentially will hold politicians accountable and make them remember that they actually got into this business to serve their fellow man, and not themselves.”

Wow. So thankful, again, for the Pac. You know, one thing about PUMA’s….they’re solitary animals. I tend to go off on my own a bit, usually from that on the outside looking in feeling, but then there are times I need to revitalize. How good it is to be able to come here and hear from all the familiar voices.
I want to thank WontBackDown for the poem they posted. It is immeasurably potent and I will keep it with me. I want to thank Grizz for being a voice of reason when there wasn’t much. I gotta thank the person who nailed it (I forget specifically who…) when they said that today I feel just like I did on 9/12/01. Having realized just how depressed and post-traumatized I am I was just describing it as living in Wonderland where you know things aren’t what they seem and that the next surprise is not likely to be pleasant and yet you find yourself, intact, mired in this new reality.
And Murphy, donno where you were last night, that we didn’t have one line from you, but it was grounding to hear from you tonight.
As for our challenges. Well, I have to agree with those who say we’re still very young. Because we are. Yet, LOOK and SEE all that we have effected. PUMA’s are where the seeds are born. We hatch these ideas, we go scratching around the landscape and we come back with little bits of evidence. We share with one another and each take what they will. Our diversity is always and forever our strength; everyone has unique abilities and view-points. Contributing your authentic self is the paramount gift you can give. I continually say for this alone every PUMA is to be respected, cherished, honored and supported.
Our minds and hearts lead us to strange and sometimes terrible places, yet it is our VOICES that become our weapons.
Our voices have ALL been heard, far and wide. The most staunch Bot can not have helped but be confronted with our message. When we were told we did not matter we continued to speak out and demand the right to be counted!
In five months I’ve seen EVERY message I’ve had returned to me in some for or fashion. Yes, it may well have been twisted and thrown back at me by an unwilling participant of the human race, but that was their choice. Mine was to keep on speaking my piece.
So I guess what I’m saying is PUMA IS real. It IS effective. It surely has kept MOST of us sane at some point or another. We are very young, still unorganized (maybe in the future we could get an actual community organizer kind of person to lend a bit more directed structure?) but we are vigilant, fearless and potent!
I’ve known since I joined that PUMA wasn’t going away after the election, though I certainly didn’t expect at these results at that time. There is corruption, it runs wide and deep! We are normal, everyday American citizens who are unwilling to compromise our integrity to acchieve our goals. Those things are currently seeming to work against us and yet, I believe they are the real weight behind our voices.
I am dedicated to preserving the spirit of Freedom, Honor and Loyalty that we hoped to conquer the foes with. I think if we continue as we’ve gone, for the most part, watching, listening, debating and then proclaiming that time will provide us with all the proofs needed. People will come to us of their own accord, just as each of us have.
So, I guess, to wrap up this missive, I’ll say that I’m glad the election is over. We now have time to mature. We can do our work, we can grow our skills, hone our claws and continue to be the voice of America’s last democratic vestige. Without the frenzy of any doomsday date perhaps we’ll finally have the luxury of time, something we’ve never known.
Thanks to all my PUMA’s for being Here, being YOU and remaining Free.
Kerr

Heh, Sandi…when you said this I thought of Hillary.
I think you could insert her name for Murphy’s as well. Imagine how much more difficult it’d be for one of us if we had to, in the interest of being able to protect our Pac as much as possible, sacrifice so much as she has been called to do? Imagine having to actually campaign for that one? I shudder at the thought and honestly, whereas others deride her and find fault with her for it, I think she’s proven just how dedicated she is to her life’s work of helping others.
Just a thought inspired from your sentence.

I haven’t read the comments, but I’m in to stay! Also, I had an experience today i cannot understand from an educated woman. She said, and I paraphrase here, that socialism is a good thing and what this country needs. Since she so interested in redristributing wealth do you think she might want to give my room mate and I, who have nothing, some of hers? I have a car out front of my house which would have taken 15 minutes to repair on the day it stalled 2 or 3 years ago, now I’m fixing it myself, I had to purchase parts, radiator flush, and Stabil for the gas tank, recharge the battery and pump up the tires and pay $67.75 to register it. Rather than help us fix the car this group of highly educated, breakaway from the traditional Lutheran Church, has come, at their pleasure, to take my room mate to their Sunday meetings, to buy groceries and pay bills. The rest of the time I’m housebound unless I have a medical appointment or one of my neighbors(for gas money) will take me where I need to go. I really don’t get it. And they obviously have been spoonfed by the MSM, because she never heard about voter fraud or where he got his contributions, or his Criminal Associates. Oh, well, just count me in, I will donate as I can and do what I can to help. I also plan to print out one of those “Don’t Blame Me, I voted for Hillary to place on my car. And if ther are still PUMA bracelets, I’d like to get one of those too.
Now it’s late and I’ve had a long, hard day, so good night for now, be back tommorrow.

Yhea one of my friends who is an educated AAF, was oh so happy that Obama won….I don’t know Russia ready take us out now… My daughter and a friend hers bith voted form Obama. On my way in the house this evening I stepped in her rookm for a brief second and she and her friend were talking to each other on the phone. so I casually made it a point to step in to her room and quickly say” Well all those people who voted for Obama sure better know something I don that makes Obama capalbe of of protecting this Country. because Russia is entertaining the idea of Nuking the US…. On in to my room I walked, setting my stuff down, I had another great smart remark and stepped up to my daughters door and explain to her that I knew that Obama supporters know we don’t know that gives them peace in knowing that Obama’s readu to defend this war, because where being taken Russia….My daughter and her rose colored glasses looked at me and said, why would Russia want to bomb us we haven’t threatened them…. I said it’s all about power and control…. Then I had to explaint that Russia and the US used to be the super power countries…. However Russia want’s to take and nuke us, just to simply rid the earth of our existence…. She said why I sad because they want our land to expand there country… She says their talking about taking out North America, I said We are North America, she say’s no were not. I said and down south of us is South America…. Dumbing down of education started quite a while ago she graduated High school in 2001…..
My friend on the other hand when I inquired to her about Obama, first as to why she voted for Obama she said he was fresh, I said fresh what does that mean and she said just a new face in the government…. So let’s see he’s not unexperienced he’s just a fresh new look….
There’s a reason some people should not vote…

Goodmorning Night PUMAs.
Can’t sleep, woke up at 3:00am crying about my lil dog Becca.
Thanks everyone for the prayers. (((( PUMA ))))

Hey, no, my Great Dane attacked my Jack Russel Terrier, Becca.
She’s at the vet, not sure if she’s going to make it. head injury.
mick 11.06.08 at 5:23 am
The Dane is a sweetheart usually, I think Becca was growling and probably bite at her cause she didn’t want to play and Luna just snapped and bite her back. Only her bite is much bigger.

Mick,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and Becca.

Our football coach got fired on monday. he’s had 15/17 winning seasons a national championship and two SEC championships. he got axed.
We don’t need to re-hash Tuesday on here.
Tonight, an email went out to our entire student body about respect and decorum post election. i was so angry that i was crying. I have gotten verbally assualted on campus campaigning for democrats but they didn’t give a crap.
Now, they’re trying to cover their butts against anything happening but Im just pissed over this email

For the record, I posted this last night before running off to the vet. I can’t speak for other Repubs on the site but I was never on here “treating you all like a mule”. I’ve been an ally working next to y’all doing prowls and even though I’ve been unemployed, I managed to donate a small amount of money to PUMA.

Hi all.
K, I’m ready to get busy.
I hope this Repub is still welcome here … cause I’m ready to help y’all reach your goals.
You all are going to need all the help you can get to help reform the Dem Party, fight for fair elections, oppose the sexism and misogyny in the media and in our government and do our best to try to minimize Obama’s damage … so I’m still on board if you all will have me.
I’m not the type to sit around crying … I believe in taking action so I’m ready whenever Murphy says “PUMA prowl”.

I was reading your post from last night about Rush, … I don’t care if you like Rush or not cause sometimes even I think he’s a blowhard but Rush DID NOT ask Repubs to cross over to vote for Obama. It was the other way around. He asked the Repubs to cross over and vote for HILLARY. I don’t know were you are getting your information from Antifish but it isn’t correct. I listened to him almost every day so I’m very familiar with his “Operation Chaos” movement back in the spring.

Murphy and PUMAs,
You are right – 20 million people who think like us will defeat 600 million campaign treasure chest, but we must mobilize early and start putting money away, so that when the time comes,we are ready – this is the only way we can overcome the current BO cult. Where do we start?
Murphy – can you establlish guidelines for this kind of fundraising, in addition to other funds we may need for day to day operations?
THANK YOU!!!

Sorry about your dog. I don’t know what I’d do without my little dog. I was a large dog owner, St. Bernards, Newfoundland then smaller…British yellow labs, now a small Cocker Poo………everything downsizes in my family.

Yeah, but too bad it didn’t help Hillary win. Even though I’m a Repub I would be feeling much better today if Hillary had won rather than That One.
mick 11.06.08 at 6:15 am
Thanks CJ. I’m so torn up about this … the Great Dane, Luna, was a gift to us a yr ago after my Labradoodle died. Luna was 1 yr old already and up until now did really well with my little dog and my cats. I love Luna but now I’m wondering if I should give her back to my friend Cris. Cris has many big dogs and would take you back … I’m just so torn about what to do.

I had a Dane pup too. There was definetly something wrong with her for her temperment wasn’t like a typical Dane and I gave her back to the breeder ..I was told she died but only after I asked for my money back.
Lots of dog stories..both good and sad.
Right now I don’t know what I’d do without my little dog she is so smart it’s scary…great company when your’re alone.
But this little dog is no push over and will defend herself if she is provoked….
Patty 11.06.08 at 6:23 am
Mick if becca comes home I think you should give the great dane back.
Other wise you will need to think about a muzzle. My brother has a great dane that he keeps a muzzle on, it was always growling at his “rotten” son and showing it’s teeth. I say if something like that happens once there is a very good chance it could happen again.
CJ 11.06.08 at 6:24 am
yes Mick forgot to add to give her back….once there is an attack on your smaller dog the Dane may try it again…
not worth the worry and believe me I am a dog lover.

Have y’all read about the Palin smears coming out from McCain camp peeps? Of course, these slims won’t come out on record. I’m really pissed about this … I think we should join this effort called “Operation Leper” …
OPERATION LEPER
Posted by: Erick Erickson
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:43PM CST
RedState is pleased to announce it is engaging in a special project: Operation Leper.
We’re tracking down all the people from the McCain campaign now whispering smears against Governor Palin to Carl Cameron and others.
Michelle Malkin has the details – http://michellemalkin.com/2008/11/05/the-mccain-campaigns-classless-cowards/
We intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them. Naturally then, you’ll see us go to war against those candidates.
It is our expressed intention to make these few people political lepers.
They’ll just have to be stuck at CBS with Katie’s failed ratings.

Alice Rodham Puma 11.06.08 at 6:56 am
No TV here either, I just won’t do it. I will wait until the MSM wakes up to the reality, not the dream. Could be waiting a while, but I can wait. The breaking news happens on the internet anyway and I can get the rest from the radio.
mick 11.06.08 at 6:59 am
I’m so disgusted with the partisanship in our MSM and horrible sexism in media and our political parties. It just makes me sick.

Alice Rodham Puma 11.06.08 at 7:02 am
She is great isn’t she Mick!
http://together4us.com/ is the website, but unfortunately I think they had obot attacks during the campaign so the website is not what it could be.
It would be better if we could get all these groups (or as many as possible) to come together under a non-partizan umbrella and hold them together as a coalition. That is a challenge.
1gypsy4mc 11.06.08 at 7:07 am
Good Morning PUMAs! I had already sent FOX NEWS an email concerning the flippant manner of Carl Cameron passing on “rumors” of McCain’s staffers!! HE was unprofessional! I also sent emails to all of the main GOP emails on what I think!!
There were many brave Dem women that came out to support Gov Palin – where were the Repub women?? Where were GOP Women Leaders? The GOP base, nor the McCain Campaign, did their jobs!! I’m still ticked!!

“a waste of good incarnating” ——-priceless!
———–
I think most of you know Michael Crichton died. My sister found a very revealing article on newsbusters regarding his prediction of the demise of the MSM. And it was written in 1993.
I couldn’t pull up the exact link, but those interested should read it at http://www.newsbusters.org and then go to the article on Michael Crichton. Here is an excerpt:
“According to recent polls, large segments of the American population think the media is attentive to trivia, and indifferent to what really matters. They also believe that the media does not report the country’s problems, but instead is a part of them. Incrasingly, people perceive no difference between the narcissistic self-serving reporters asking questions, and the narcissistic self-serving politicians who evade them……”
The audience is changing. Media is the message. Turn off the TV news–it doesn’t tell you the whole story. US News and World Report is now going on-line only. People seek the info they want–they do not sit and wait for it to be spoonfed to them.
PUMA is on the front lines of dissemenating information. There is a building block right there sitting in front of us.
———-okay—bbl—–must go to work.

bythelake 11.06.08 at 7:30 am
Good morning PUMAS! Been trying to catch up, been busy, that’s a good thing. Had some “friends” stop in the store yesterday to rub salt in the wound, but trust me, I stood my PUMA ground and told them, it won’t be long and I’ll be telling you “I told you so”! Another lady came in that I hadn’t seen for awhile, she’s probably 75 years old. She asked me about the election, if I was happy…I laughed and said, no. She came over to the counter and sat down and let it out. She said she was so upset, she said what is wrong with these people who voted for Obama. She knew all the ACORN, Ayers, Wright etc info. She was in touch with the real world. Another friend called me from Florida. He just couldn’t believe Florida also went for Obama. Our newspaper highlights all the blacks who “for the first time in their life” voted. That sickens me. What about me, the one who has voted her entire life for the good of our country. Our paper did not interview one single white person. Koolaid drinkers.
Okay, got that off my chest. Oh there’s more but my daughter takes the brunt of it lol.
Like I said to one friend yesterday, Obama does not have my support. He couldn’t buy it.
I feel terrible that the media is bashing Sarah. Does it ever stop? I hope the whole Obama mess blows up in their faces. Let his real character and colors show through.
Geez, I’m in a icky mood. I hate that. Okay PUMAS, make me smile!

CJ 11.06.08 at 7:46 am
I posted this last night on here and gretawire…I was in a really bad mood frame…
……….
All Fox is doing is trying to resolve issues about Palin or snide remarks about Palin or McCain, and what you all are doing is rehashing the rumors and all people are hearing is the bashing with no resolve.
You all are keeping rumors alive and you keep circulating the nasty remarks …Fair and Balance ok…let’s see. Dems start the ball rolling with a rumor and you all play the game , while in the middle of the game the Dems throw another ball and you are now playing with two balls and having trouble playing…then a third ball gets thrown in…………then a fourth and fifth….a great radical tactic and you all fell for it.
Nothing is getting resolved but you keep airing it….continually reminding the people, voters at the time how bad the rumor is…true or not.
Same thing will all the free advertising you gave Obama by airing over and over and over his negative ads by discussing the da m n negative ads………all the while the people see the McCain negative ads………
Fox election news killed McCain’s chances of winning.
Now leave Sarah alone and let her go back to the upper states that isn’t as vicious as the lower.
Nan I’d be glad if I were her…she can still work hard at helping the lower states with all the ugliness going on. McCain and Palin will continue to work but away from the da m n media ……
I am P i s sed
Leave Sarah alone Fox or you lost a faithful viewer.

Good Morning my WONDERFUL Puma pals:
While I was making my coffee this morning, something popped in my head and made wonder. If BO takes office, what will happen when we wants to and shut down this site and many others like it? I wish we had a contact list with everyones info, phone, emails, addresses etc. that way if something ever happens to this site we could all still stay in touch until we could get back on line. I don’t want to lose anyone.
(Just my thoughts)
CJ 11.06.08 at 7:59 am
If ACORN’s registrations can be counted along with the votes McCain may have won…………Republicans have got to fight..what happen McCain lost his fight fight fight.

I have believed throughout this election cycle that Obama benefitted from the media-encouraged Bush Derangement Syndrome, as well as the fawning (leg-tingling) coverage which overlooked/excused every one of Obama’s questionable associations. Personally, I would not befriend Reverend Wright, Father Phleger, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn or Louis Farrakhan based on their demonstrated capacity for hate-filled speech.
We all know that underhanded tactics were employed throughout the primaries and the GE campaign.
Having said that, I am trying to keep an open mind and evaluate the people that Obama chooses going forward. His first choice, of Rahm Emmanuel, for Chief of staff doesn’t ally my concerns:
From a 1997 New York Times article:
June 15, 1997
The Brothers Emanuel
By ELISABETH BUMILLER
The best Rahm Emanuel story is not the one about the decomposing two-and-a-half-foot fish he sent to a pollster who displeased him. It is not about the time – the many times – that he hung up on political contributors in a Chicago mayor’s race, saying he was embarrassed to accept their $5,000 checks because they were $25,000 kind of guys. No, the definitive Rahm Emanuel story takes place in Little Rock, Ark., in the heady days after Bill Clinton was first elected President.
It was there that Emanuel, then Clinton’s chief fund-raiser, repaired with George Stephanopoulos, Mandy Grunwald and other aides to Doe’s, the campaign hangout. Revenge was heavy in the air as the group discussed the enemies – Democrats, Republicans, members of the press – who wronged them during the 1992 campaign. Clifford Jackson, the ex-friend of the President and peddler of the Clinton draft-dodging stories, was high on the list. So was William Donald Schaefer, then the Governor of Maryland and a Democrat who endorsed George Bush. Nathan Landow, the fund-raiser who backed the candidacy of Paul Tsongas, made it, too.
Suddenly Emanuel grabbed his steak knife and, as those who were there remember it, shouted out the name of another enemy, lifted the knife, then brought it down with full force into the table.
”Dead!” he screamed.
The group immediately joined in the cathartic release: ”Nat Landow! Dead! Cliff Jackson! Dead! Bill Schaefer! Dead!”
Rolling Stone reported on the same incident:
The night after Clinton was elected, Emanuel was so angry at the president’s enemies that he stood up at a celebratory dinner with colleagues from the campaign, grabbed a steak knife and began rattling off a list of betrayers, shouting “Dead! . . . Dead! . . . Dead!” and plunging the knife into the table after every name. “When he was done, the table looked like a lunar landscape,” one campaign veteran recalls. “It was like something out of The Godfather. But that’s Rahm for you.”
Hmmmmmmmmm. Nothing particularly reassuring about picking this “level-headed” individual as your Chief of Staff.

Rahm Emanuel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahm_Emanuel
He began his political career with the consumer rights organization Illinois Public Action. He went on to serve in a number of capacities in local and national politics, initially specializing in fundraising for Illinois campaigns and then nationally.
Emanuel worked for Democrat Paul Simon’s 1984 election to the U.S. Senate, was the national campaign director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 1988, and then was senior advisor and chief fundraiser for Richard M. Daley’s victorious campaign for Mayor of Chicago in 1989.
During the 1991 Gulf War, Emanuel was a civilian volunteer in Israel, rust-proofing brakes on an army base in northern Israel.[8]
He joined then-Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton’s presidential primary campaign in 1991, serving as the campaign’s Director of Finance. Emanuel insisted that Clinton schedule a lot of time for fundraising and greatly delay campaigning in New Hampshire. After much dispute within the campaign about the issue, Clinton eventually agreed, embarking on an aggressive fundraising campaign across the nation. The fundraising paid off later, providing the campaign a vital buffer to keep buying television time as attacks on Clinton’s character threatened to swamp the campaign during the New Hampshire primary

I’VE GOT AN IDEA… http://www.meetup.com It’ a meet up site.. I had gone to a few meet ups cost is usually a $1 to cover the site cost when you get together. Anyone can be an organizer and start a new group; many campaign groups were there at the time.
I’m not very good BUT you tell me what to do…I could be a helper in it down in Florida and it will be a face to face.

I had something happen to me last night that …. the more I think about it … the madder (not sure madder is a word)I get!
Last night, I went to bible study. Afterwards everybody was standing around talking as we always do. Everybody was talking about the election and how upset they were at the results. All of a sudden, this ONE guy pops up and says … I voted for BO! I looked at him a crazy, but said nothing! (EVERYONE KNOWS HOW HARD I FOUGHT AGAING BO) He turns to me and says, “I am sorry, but I could not for McCain because of Sarah Palin … she is dumber than a box of rocks”! He went on to say that “Sat. Night Live made fun of her, using her own words”!
It was “on” at that point! I was mad as hell! I ended up having to walk away before a fight broke out at bible study. This is the “kicker” … The guy that said all of this is our asst. paster. I told a friend last night that now it will be hard to ever sit through ANYTHING he has to say! Am I wrong?????

You are not wrong! It is so hard to listen to people you like say such ridiculous things. A woman I work with and who would call herself a feminist said similar things. I told her if you get your election coverag from SNL you are too stupid to vote. (sorry I know it wasn’t nice). I have also tried “Yes Sarah Palin is so stupid she managed to get herself elected governor without a million dollar trust fund”. But some people just don’t get sarcasm. Ultimately, I think people who say and believe these things either because the hate women, republicans or both.

I was feeling such a sense of hopelessness yesterday, but I just read Murphy’s post and I must admit I cried. A glimmer of hope has been reignited inside of me for a few reasons. First….being a republican I could never call myself “officially” a PUMA and I was a bit envious of all of you who were, in my heart I felt like I was a PUMA. Second…Murphy now says I can be a PUMA because I, like many of you see no hope in neither party at this point. Third….I am ready to start anew with a new vision of hope in a third party of our own. I have faith and hope in PUMA’S, you have all inspired me beyond words these past few months. I was astonished at what you were able to accomplish in such a short period of time. Maybe winning this election was not the goal that would best benefit America, maybe the vision we have now is what will ultimately serve our best interests and the interests of America as well. So, can I be on board? I will work hard, and I would MUCH rather see my money go to support this cause than that of NObama.

Good Morning Puma Family.
I’m at work and haven’t had time to read through the entire thread but have a few comments.
1. We do need the EC
2. TVLand, in my opinion, is/was in the tank for BO as well. They ran a TVLand first family award. Ron Howard came out and supported BO. Guess who won the first family award – Andy Griffith and that was on Nov 4th. Although, I do like their old programs.
3. BO is not my POTUS elect and I say we should refer to him as the POTKAD for President of the Kool-aid Drinkers.
That’s all until tonight or until I can sneak in a comment at work

On the Sarah Palin discussion. My daughter, who is only 10, had another girl at school tell her that Sarah Palin was stupid. My daughter, who’s a little PUMA in training, told her that Palin isn’t stupid and that people on television just made her look that way. The girl came back a couple days later and apologized to my daughter because she found out what SNL had done to Palin.
It’s disgusting when our girls grow up believing the sexist crap about women portrayed in our media; they grow up to be BO supporters. At least my daughter converted one before it was too late!

TEXAS:
Do you remember how hard we tried to get through to the Democratic Leadership. I know that I sent them daily messages, sometimes 2 or 3. I never had to sign in because I was there so often. Nothing phased them, they were absolutely impervious to our plight and our comments. The Democrat Party is not the Democrat Party of the past, they are so deeply entrenched in their far left reasoning that there is no reforming them. The fact that they tacitly approved of the fraudulent practices of the primaries gave us our first evidence that they had no intention of allowing Hillary to get the nomination. That, I for one, erroneously believed for so long that we might have a fair primary and that Hillary had a chance says more about my lack of foresight. Murphy held on to the idea of reforming the Democrat Party as along as she could, until she realized that it was not possible of being reformed as it actually had become another party though hanging on to the old venerable name. It has been very difficult for me to realize as a 40 year registered Democrat that I have to move on. It is not going to be easy for me, but I know that I will not turn back. I have to believe that my brother who died in 2006 and was the staunchest Democrat you could find would actually agree with me. So from now on, it’s onward and upward!

As PUMAs our first obligation to restoring Democracy is to protect the Constitution of the US (flawed that it might be but still the ultimate rule of law in this country).
I have one more task for all PUMAs to do NOW.
We need to write to the RNC and the others list below, and demand that they force and investigate through all channels that every record on Obama be released especially the original vault certified original BC that can be hospital verified, the release of adoption records from Indonesia, and all other records pertaining to Obama now that he is Pres.-elect to protect and defend the Constitution, because they, the DOJ, Secretary of State, and Head of any state election committee has “standing” to force that Obama provide a legitimate vault original Birth Certificate that is hospital verifiable and all other documents that are pertinent to his taking the Presidency…..We emphasis this is nothing at all about race but about Nationality and CONSTITUTIONALITY, that the constitution MUST be upheld no matter who you are!
We need to turn this into an urgent Prawl of force before the constitution is destroyed for all time. Let’s just make believe that we are all from Missouri…”SHOW ME”! and we do have a right to know that the person to take office as Pres. is constitutionally qualified…..also if it affects his qualifications and legal issues of him as a Senator which can open a great can of worms. I have nothing against his skin shade just his nationality status, corruption, and criminality……..we need to do all we can still to keep a criminal and non-American from taking over the country……please remember that the vote on Tuesday in reality mounts to the equvilant of a straw poll….the final true votes are not until Dec. 1st when the state electoral college delegates meet to cast their votes and the final decision is on Jan 6th when Congress meets to approve and debate the choice of President-elect……..Yes it still comes down to Congress approving the choice of President. And it up to right now the Republicans to disapprove of the choice on Constitutional grounds or that the vote

Also, on the subject of the bc.
What response is the Supreme Court waiting on until December 1st in the Berg case?
Would it do any good for us to write letters to the Justices in support of Berg?
And what is it that the Hawaii courts will be doing on November 18 in the Andy Martin suit?
Would it d o any good for us to write letters to the judge in support of Martin?
I honestly believe that since the committee in Congress that was entrusted with verifying qualifications for Senators, and failed to do that in the case of Obama; and since those members of Congress were elected by the people, we the people
should be able to have full access to all of Obama’s records since he is now President elected.

ladyhawkke 11.06.08 at 9:54 am
I just got an e-mail from Lady Lynn. Definitely I’m sticking with her, I love her and she worked her heart out. Lady Lynn is very influential and I believe we should align ourselves with her.
Lady Lynn to me:
Dear Lady,
At the end of this long campaign, I am writing to congratulate and thank you for your steadfast work on behalf of our country. All of us are probably not pleased with the outcome of the election, but we all accept it and will do our individual part to continue to serve the best interest of this nation we love.
Before we all go back to our day jobs, I am contacting you once again for your help. My personal journey in this campaign has made me painfully aware of two deeply disturbing realities of our political process; namely, partisanship and sexism. These two are not related but both are rampant in our politics and seriously interfere with the progress of our society. I have seen how fundamental principles have been abandoned by our leaders and the media in favor of partisan power and irrational bias. As a result, both of these lethal trends are getting stronger in our body politic My interest in both the partisanship and sexism in the 2008 Presidential election leads me to ponder if there is a role for this site in helping to resolve either issue.
Perhaps you have completely tired of politics by this point and need a rest. I certainly understand that position. But, in the event that you are energized by what you have experienced, I am using this site to ask you to send me your thoughts on whether we can – or should – try to promote change in our national partisanship and/or rampant sexism. I am particularly interested in knowing your thoughts on how we might address these issues through:
* this website
* existing organizations or websites
* existing articles, presentations or reports (please send them or a link to them)
* interesting individuals from either party who may participate
* any other thoughts and strategies
Please send me your comments by going to together4us.com and post your ideas in the Comments section. That way they can be viewed by many people and commented on by others.
And, if you would like to personally be involved in any way in an effort to forge a solution to the corrosive affect of party politics and gender bias, please email me directly at lynn@together4us.com.
Once again, I want to thank you for everything you did in this election and I am very pleased that in some way our paths have crossed at this time. I trust we will have the opportunity to do some good together in the future……together4us.
I wish you well.
Sincerely yours,
Lynn Forester de Rothschild

Good news mick! My dog suffered brain damage after a heart attack as a puppy and I was told to put her down (three different vets). She was blind, deaf, couldnt walk. I went to a holistic vet and she had me put my puppy on a diet of raw chicken livers, cooked carrots and peas mixed together. Within 4 days, she showed improvement. Within a couple of weeks she was normal again. She is now 13yrs old.
Just thought I would pass that on incase you want to give it a try!

Lady Lynne was a huge Hillary supporter who switched to McCain. We have all seen her being interviewed and campaigning. Together4us was “to get her for us”–a reference to Hillary. She is American born, a self-made success, and I believe a Columbia educated lawyer. She married de Rothschild(sp) later in her life. She was on the Democratic Party Platform Committee and quit when she felt she could not support NObama.
John McCain and the RNC need to step up and support Sarah Palin. The media is just trying to nail her political coffin shut! Get rid of this woman, too.

#501 Mick Tigger has IBD, seizures and interstitial cystitis (12 yrs old); Rameses, her sibling has Kidney Failure since 2004. Have taken excellent care of him, including hand feeding him for a year when he wouldn’t eat. Most people say their cat won’t eat, I don’t allow it unless they are puking. It really gives them strength. I also give any of them that need extra water distilled water and sometimes by syrine to make sure they are drinking. Anubis has some kind of hair loss, hair all off of his hind legs, tail and lower back. Grows in and then falls out again. He also has just been diagnosed with kidney disease (5 yrs old); and Kleo, the little one, 3 yrs old, has interstitial cystits. It’s a heavy burden. But I am commited to these cats. They are in no way ready to be put down, they play and are very alert. Just need cares, like humans.

#521 GBPuma I’ve posted over and over that the records are not sealed. I called the Governor’s office in HI and was told they are not sealed and the Director put out a statement saying it will be treated like all other BC’s, in other words, no one could get a copy of yours unless you requested that they get it. Obviously, Obama is not going to do that and looks like Martin and Berg, IMHO, will never have access to it.

Good morning PUMAs I hope all of you have gotten all the yuckies out and feel better today. I am in Ohio and its 61 degrees out and the sun is shinging and I feel revived.
I actually feel like a huge weight has been lifted with this election being over. It may not be the result we wanted, but unless an act of God would stop his inaugraul we will have to live through his presidency. I refuse to wallow in self pity and allow this to overtake my joys of life.
This was not the first stolen election, not the first corruption in politics and not the first time a woman candidate was passed over. This is history repeating itself. We have a lot of work to do and change to come in this country and as the Alcoholics Anonymous say…..”One day at a time.” I say..”One step at a time…or Inch by inch life’s a cinch, yard by yard its very hard. We are history in the making.
So let’s pull up our boot straps, pick ourselves up, dust off the sadness, dry all the tears, and begin anew. Today can be the first day of a new attitude. I’m not sure how involved I will be with the agenda Murphy has laid out. I will always check in and post now and then. I am a great cheer leader and motivator. Rah Rah, move it, move it…..:)
Murphy I just have to tell you how extremely proud I am of all you have done. YOU single handedly one day back in June decided to begin this blog and a mission to right the wrongs you saw happening in the election process. YOU a woman with a family took valuable time to inform and encourage sadden, disheartened Hillary supporters to join you in your plight. YOU gave us all a safe place to come and voice our thoughts, YOU took on the DNC, media, talk radio, and the Obamanation leading us with prowls. YOU have my utmost gratitude and support. Whatever happens from here I know you will always be a force to be reckoned with. YOU found your voice and I sense you will never be a silent person again. Your family must be very proud of you. So now everyone awaits your next move. They are looking for guidelines and prowls. They are looking for a plan of action. YOU did it before and you will continue to lead your PUMA cubs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I am sure I am speaking for everyone single person who has ever been a part of this mission whether it be lurking, posting or prowling. The world is a better place because you are in it. As I tell my day care children and grandchildren when they fall and get hurt….UT OH its ok.
It is okay and we will all be okay because we have this place to come to be PUMAs.
I did not vote for Obama, but I will as of this day begin praying God will guide him to be a good president. In spite of all the things I know about him, I will pray he does right by this country and protects us. This great country needs to heal and be ONE. We are many parts we are all one body and the gifts we have we are given to share, may the spirit of love make us all indeed. One the cross that we bear, one our hope in despair, one the love that we share.
We are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! With all our flaws and diversity, cultures and races, corruption and sins, we are still a great nation that turns no one away. United we stand, divided we fall.

Secondly, I would like to say, to those who have been trashing Hillary, she did not sell us out, consider your own family and friends and how they would have felt when their former employees and friends did sell you out to the enemy, who spent your campaign money like water down a drain, to have your campaign headquartewrs vandalised, and friends dying under mysterious means, your family threatened—what would you do? Hillary is the only politician to whom I’ve ever contributed, and ther is no way in H**l I would ask for a refund because she did what she had to do.Yes, I wrote her in, and I’m proud of that, I’d do it again, and I voted for a democraric Governor because her opponent was using the same tactics as that one—and wanted to cut the minimum wage in WA. by $1.50 an hour, but I voted for some republicans too. I voted for women where I could, I always do. But you do not need to call me a traitor, I did not, would never vote for Obama, but neither would I vote for McCain, who just couldn’t get it together. This election was rigged from day 1, we never stood a chance, but folks who drank the kool-aid are going to learn real fast, when all those students are required to do 3 months community service every year, and what ever other harebrained schemes he has in mind. I heard 2 men talking in a hardware store today about the 3 months community service, and then of course we have the 1sr dog , who can’t be a “mutt” like that one. But I do want to stay, I want to fight, and I’d like to be able to read my comments, which I haven’t been lately.
May your Higher power bless you and keep you all safe and I hope to see you all here tommorrow.
blessings,
valleywitch
