Hi fellow PUMA’s. I saw my nose surgeon today. He said that I have a slight bruise on the outside part of my left nostril and a big bruise in my throat (from the tube that went in). He said the 100 degree fever is normal and so is the sinus headache. He cleaned all the surgery gunk etc out so it’s supposed to be “clean” now, LOL.

I missed everything that happened today with one exception. I did see where BO did his little trick (like he did with Hillary) of giving “the finger”. You talk about childish. You just don’t DO that in public to people who deserve respect. You SAY “respect” them, and then you “show” lack of respect. Once again, your words are one thing and your action is totally different. Your action is that of an irresponsible child who throws a spunk on the floor when he doesn’t get his way.

One more thing here. A negative note: Mom and I, after the dr appointment, went out to eat lunch and ran into a couple senior ladies she knew. Both of them asked if we had voted and mom assured them that we had voted absentee and voted for McCain. They got all upset and said that voting for McCain was taking away their social security!!! That really riled me. This is the exact same thing that Gore said and Kerry said.. did Bush take away their social security? NO, and he never said he would take away the s.s. from those who over age 50, and neither did McCain. However, this is the exact same line that seems to be used every election year against whatever repub is running. You’d think that having a repub in office 8 years, no matter how much they dislike him, would have at least proven THAT old myth to be false, but NO- it’s trotted out again, and once again the seniors are believing it! Mom told these ladies how bad Obama is, and they said “well he certainly can’t be as bas as the one we have now!” Talk about brainwashed! It left me really depressed to only talk to 2 people at the table, and both of them seniors who believed the garbage that Obama fed them.

…and a positive note. I just put a new member in my eye disease support group who lives in OH. I mentioned “the audio” to her and she didn’t know anything about it, so I suggested she go to Drudge or FoxNews and play it for everyone she knew. She is voting for McCain, and was doing so before I had called about her application to our eye group.

I have not posted for awhile but I have been here every day. Tomorrow, for the first time in my life I will vote republican. I have mixed feelings about this because I am a gay woman and republicans have been less then supportive to say the least. However, I can not pull that lever for a liar and a cheat. I’d rather shoot myself in the foot and vote for McCain then shoot myself in the head and vote for Obama. This is the only way Hillary can run again in 2012. Please don’t stay home and not vote. Again I have to begin with THANK YOU. You have brought light to what seemed like a very dark tunnel 2 mos ago. I’m from WA. I find myself scouring and devouring everything I read online. Its good because I think I actually lost weight sitting so much at my computer and forgetting to eat. What I hope we all achieve? after this nightmare, is an equal playing field without the discussion of clothing, breasts, hair and makeup. And that we don’t lose the values of our democracy that we all hold so dear.

First time posting here, so please be gentle! I discovered this site last Friday and it really did pick up my spirits.
Just a quick background:
My wife and I made the decision well before the Ohio primary that we would switch to a democrat ballet and vote for Hillary. McCain had the nomination locked up, but watching the way the media treated Hillary and fawned over Obama made us sick. Plus we saw right away how dangerous Obama was, especially with a complicit media. This was way before Rush’s Operation Chaos. We weren’t sure we’d vote for Hillary in November, but we wanted a choice for president between two ADULTS! One quick note about the Ohio primary also, she would have won by a much higher margin but there were floods in eastern and southeastern Ohio that night that greatly suppressed her vote.
At any rate, after the primary we were threatened with prosecution for switching parties etc…which was a joke to us and of course nothing ever came of it. If only we’d registered as dems 72 times each we wouldn’t even have been threatened!
The poster above who warned about listening to the mainstream media and radio is so correct. I left this site earlier this afternoon feeling pretty good, but listening to the radio in the car while out on two business appointments made me a little down again. Oh, and O’Reilly is in the tank for Obama, simply because he’s all about himself and his huge ego, and he’s afraid of the fairness doctrine and thinks Obama will spare him.
I’m convinced he even lets callers through with the birth certificate charge and things like that simply so he can defend Obama and point out how fair he is!
Tomorrow, obviously we’ll vote for McCain. As, I bet, will two certain famous people who now reside in New York. You know them right? One was a president, the other should have been!

From MN now, born and raised in Boston and still miss the ocean and the smell of salt after 45 years. Have been quietly working here supporting PUMA – PAC and doing somethings local. My jouney from totally committed to Hillary to now voting Rep. down to ticket has been process. At times during the trip I had to stop and talk to my Mom, Dad, Nana and Grandpa, and tell them not to roll over in the grave, and try to get them to understand that there comes a time when a person has to stop and stand up for Country over Party. At first I was only going to vote “No at the Top”, but as time went on I could see that just helping John Mc Cain get into the WH was not enough. I’ve decided to vote down the ticket in an effort to prevent a veto proof House and Senate. Hillary again in 2012.

I will NOT vote for Obama the Zero. So, I am debating today whether to vote for a third party candidate, or to vote for the Hero. (Also a heroic act of his was to put a woman — finally — on the ticket.) I am doing the math. A nothing on top vote for Zero = 0 effect. (And someone could tamper with the ballot later.) A vote for third party = 1 against Zero. A vote for Hero = 2 votes against Zero.

I am voting all republican

As a registered Repub. in VA, I want to thank you, thank you, thank you for this site! I can’t tell you how much I admire your sheer determination to keep this country on track. You are the true definition of patriotism. WHEN McCain wins this election, he has you and your many supporters to thank. We could not win this without the mighty PUMAs! One of the most rewarding things about this election is the discovery that there are many things that Hillary and McCain supporters can agree upon. We should never forget and never lose this newfound spirit of working together.

I am from PA and formerly, a lifelong Dem. I began protesting the Primary when Kennedy and Kerry endorsed O. Of course they timed it to have maximum impact on Super Tuesday. Until the end of March, the only computer available to me was at a local library – so research and communication was very limited. Once I got this current puppy going, I researched and churned out thousands of postcards which are snail mailed. First I sent them to congressional Democrats. When convinced that I was being ignored, I added in about 60 newspaper/mag/tv outlets. After the convention I (mostly) excluded the Dems. As rotten as O is, people rarely mention that he was a partner with Dean, Pelosi, Reid et al. He co-operated in their coup because the coup could never have taken place if he was not willing. It makes me sick to think of all the back room meetings he attended with them to get this far. NO WAY NO HOW NO BAMA. John McCain was not looking bad when along came Sarah. A treasure, and willing to clean up this election. How refreshing it has been to hear someone dare to criticize THE ONE. Of course I will vote for them and save for one very lonely but genuine Clinton Democrat running for a house seat, my votes go to republicans down ticket. The dems need to learn a very important lesson: protect our country’s founding principles as well as you have protected Obama and you will have no trouble from me.

I live in INDIANA and am a proud native KY girl hence my blog name! My family is highly educated ( and yet came from what many Obots might call “backwoods”. Even though it’s some of the most beautiful country on God’s green earth ( and not too close to Arkansas if Obama were paying attention). We were farmers; our beautiful farm is still ours. A portrait of FDR hung in my mother’s home all her life. My mother attended a WPA school and was able to go anywhere from that tiny place in KY as was my father. I once believed the democratic party spoke for those who couldn’t speak for themselves gave every individual a chance. I proudly cast my first vote at 18 for Bill Clinton as a freshman in college (I’ll never forget the excitement of that night in my dorm). Fast Fwd to 2008, and I cannot understand what the DNC has done to this party ( especially to Hillary) nor stand by and be a part of it. The attributes I detested about the GOP years earlier I see in my own party and even in many instances much worse (Palin attacks etc and all attacks whether it be based on education, gender, age etc.). Not only this but after taking the one qualified dem candidate away, we were left w/ a sexist, fraud, empty suit, and dare i say racist? He is not new politics, and some of those that got him where he is today are questionable in my book– I find him to be a legend in his own mind or as classic comedian Jerry Clower might say “educated beyond his intelligence.” Should I go on? I discovered pumapac in June as a link posted on a blog I was reading after the primaries were over. Since that time, I have read hundreds of thousands of words about this election on all sides. I am going to vote for McCain/Palin ticket tomorrow in Indiana. I may not be as wide-eyed and excited as I was at 18 but just as determined– I have 3 young children depending on this..Murphy thank you for giving us a voice or rather a roar! I hope the democratic process will prevail no matter what, because the hope of this great nation depends on it.

My oldest sister lives in Florida and our family have all been democrats forever. When I told her I was changing to Independent and voting McCain she emailed me back and said she was sorry to hear a family member was voting Repubican. It was almost like she made me feel I had died.

I emailed her back and told her.. “Our political party preference is not like our nationality.. we were not born into it. We can freely choose to change our party if and when our party changes on us.

Are we all hoping and praying that Obama is totally disgraced by losing by a LANDSLIDE??? Let’s all hope and pray for that. That would be, for him, the ultimate humiliation. The whole U.S. would be racist, right?

I will be voting at Laffayette High School first thing in the morning. I will be the woman in the puma t-shirt with a pair of whiskers I bought at party city!

My best friend is also a democrat. She was leaning toward NObama after Denver Convention. She and I had a long talk over the phone (she lives in NY).We talk for hours, I told her why NObama is a bad choice for our country especially we are not allowed to ask him serious questions, his vote FOR FISA, his vote AGAINST Born Alive Protection Act, his flip flop that never ends – we don’t seem to see the bottom but we know he’s heading that way, it’s just a matter of time. She is now a McCain supporter and campaigning for him at work, talking to her other officemates still leaning towards NObama to vote for McCain.

I haven’t lose a friend this election, but I sure as hell experienced too many doors slammed on my face when I was doing my door to door campaign for McCain in heavily democratic area.

I too had mixed feelings about voting for a party that denies us rights but when I got in the voting booth, I had a flashback of the way Hillary was treated during the primary and I ended up voting a straight Republican ticket, except for one. Since 1936 the NFL Washington Redskins final home game before the presidential election has been a near perfect predictor of which party will win come election day. If the Washington Redskins win, it indicates the incumbent party (Republicans) will remain in office and if the visiting team wins, it indicates the challenging party (Democratic) will win the presidential election. So, I say go Pittsburgh Steelers since they are the visiting team at FedEX Field tonight in Washington! The lone exception to this came four years ago in 2004. Some would laugh and say it’s proof that Republicans stole the election in Ohio. Also, if the Redskins win tonight, I’ll immediately claim this indicator as foolish rubbish. If the Steelers win, I’ll do a victory dance. At the very least, I might actually get you all to pay attention to Monday Night Football on ESPN tonight. Before things get crazy, I want to give PUMA Nation a small head’s up. There may not be much we can do on this one, but it could well cause chaos on Feb. 17, 2009. That is the day analog TV will cease to exist. If you haven’t gotten your box prior to that date, and you don’t have cable, your TV screen will go all static all the time. Note that is not even a month after Inaguration Day. There are only so many government funds to help Americans out in making the shift, and when they are gone, they will be gone.

I can’t help but think of all the elderly and the very poor, who maybe don’t have the wherewithall to prepare. I’m also thinking about the HUGE chance for disinformation (and we ALL know what THAT is) that could well occur in this vacuum.

This switch will happen whether it’s McCain or O. This needs to be on our list of things to get the word out about when this election is finalized.

Oh, and don’t be too disspirited thinking the Repubs may not stand with you. From personal experience with my friends, we’re fighting mad and we’re NOT electing this guy.

And finally, I read earlier about stuff being gone from grocery shelves. This is in the same line of the stories of increased gun and ammunition sales (which are verifiably true). Think about it, O’s supporters wouldn’t go stock up… he’s going to GIVE them everything after the coronation. These are the good, hard-working Americans, clinging to their God and religion, and just ask yourself who all these people who are emptying the shelves are voting for. I’ll give you one guess, and it AIN’T O. (And if they’re motivated enough to buy guns, ammo, and groceries, don’t you think they’re probably motivated enough to go VOTE too?!)

I HAVE NOTHING in common what so ever to “NoBrains”. He goes against everything I do hold dear like I AM proud to be an American, A women, A hard working person, my faith, my family, my friends,my country, my flag, to name a few.
As a past dedicated democratic and Hillary supporter I could not fall in line and support “NoBrains”.
I also did not support Al FrankenNut or McCollum – one being he is a nut (and what he wants to do to Unions) and McCollum because she came out really early and endorsed “NoBrains” while Hillary was still in it…..so that cost her my vote.
This line of voting was across the board for most of my whole family….so needed alittle more nudging than others.

Also note to all MN’s – this a.m. our gov said that they may have MN as a Blue state the race is closer than they say with almost a dead head…..so come on all you MN McCain/Palin supporters get out there and vote! DO NOT SIT HOME – Please

It is going to be a long 36+ hours but I keep praying, talking, helping and doing everything I can to get the word out there…..everybody stay strong!

I have NEVER in my life voted for a Republican, but tomorrow will be voting a straight Rep ticket. I did not come to this conclusion very easy. My family are all either turning over in their graves, or proudly screaming their support for me for putting my Country over my Party. I had a McCain sign and couldn’t bring myself to put it out in the yard until today. I have really struggled with this election. AFter much soul searching and lots of prayers and thoughts, I know without a doubt that I am doing the best thing. Every Dem that has campaigned with me, I have always asked them who they support for President, they stutter and sound like Obie, so that makes my decision to vote against them so easy. I have told them that I will NOT vote for that empty suit and sexist man. You can see the shock on their faces. So I will NOT vote for any of the Democrats running in our great state of Kentucky. The Senate race has become like the President’s race. Outsiders are sending millions of dollars into our state to control our election here to elect the Democratic challenger of Mitch McConnell. Hello to all the Pumas!! Just wanted to drop in for a minute
to say what a journey!I just reread some of the posts from June 8th including my own. I said we will REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER…and here it is on the eve of the election and we have not forgotten. I sure hope the PUMA vote will keep nobo out of office. I will say that I do feel sorry for him tonight since his grandmother passed….but my vote goes all the way GOP this time for the first time in my life. Lots of my friends who were Hillary supporters drank the koolaide along the way, so it has been very comforting to have a group of like minded folks to meet up with.

Whatever happens….a new phase of the journey begins tomorrow and I am proud to be part of this den!! Thanks to Murphy and all the PUMAS. We will Prevail.

I can’t believe this is it! The time has finally arrived when Evil will be defeated and Good triumph!! It will be history for me tomorrow in many ways. Most paramount for me, it will be the first time in 30+ years that I, a once loyal Democrat, vote for a Republican candidate. And not just on top, but a straight flush down ticket. I am new to this site. I am very nervous about tomorrow. I am black and cannot share my political views freely with most people that I know. I did vote early and to the dismay of many I voted for the McCain/Palin ticket. I am in my early 30’s and I do see the need for an experienced leader. I do not believe that BO is ready to lead this country without a herd of people around him. I do not believe that he will keep me and my family safe and I am just disgusted with people that are voting for him and really know nothing about what he represents.

The Gallup Poll aggregates for last week still show them polling 24% more Democrats than Republicans. And they show cross voters and independents favoring BO! Amazing. The BO machine is scairy. He has spent over $23 million on polling, while McCain spent around $2.

I’m not sure why I am in moderation, but I am sorry for doing whatever it is I did. Trust me I bleed PUMA blood, but I do not make a habit of it.

Voter irregularity in Ohio:
Folks- I mailed by absentee ballot in two weeks ago from yesterday from the post office. Yesterday a canvassing neighbor told me that “you are on my list to contact. We haven’t received your ballot”. That made me feel rather icky, as who is watching my vote and whether it gets there or not?
But I did check with the Board of Elections and sure enough, my ballot was never received.
I went to Board of Election at lunch time and asked for another absentee ballot, as I was told to do by phone, and they told me that I needed to go to the polling booths tomorrow and ask for a provisional ballot because there is already “an absentee one floating around out there and my vote could count twice”.
Okay, so I contacted an election attorney friend of mine who said that there are many absentee ballots missing and it is an issue.
Funny, my friends who voted their straight party line aren’t missing, but a Dem voting Republican is…What does this mean?
Ohio? Are we talking more fraud here?

At first I was pissed that someone was monitoring my voting – he obviously was concerned because he knows me to be a Democrat and he was wearing his Obama T-shirt. I didn’t say anything about who I voted for….I’m glad he tipped me off that my vote is missing, but am still thinking – wtf? I don’t want to be watched over like this.

Good evening, PUMAs. Just want to relate something interesting. I keep getting calls from the Obama campaign and keep telling them just how I will vote. They obviously don’t take no for an answer. Today I’m pretty sick – the flu, I think, and even if I feel bad tomorrow, I’m going to vote. Got a call from the Obama campaign and they left a message reminding me when my polling place was opened tomorrow and if I needed a ride, they could arrange it.

Now I’m tempted, because I’m sick, to ask them for that ride, and wear my Democratics for McCain button…I’d love to get some BO supporters trapped in a car for 15 minutes and fill them with the truth…however, they’d probably leave me at the polling place, so I think I’ll just drive myself (and maybe give all those BO supporters the flu)

I meant to say that my friends who followed their party lines ballots were received just fine, but someone like me who departed from the party line, has a missing ballot. Wonder if there is pattern? I’m just saying….

I know he’s made statements like that in the past (and also pro-gay statements)… but he did say that he would totally back the Supreme Court ruling which made gay marriage legal in CA (don’t recall exact words). So at least that’s something.

There’s a lot of propaganda to get people to vote yes on 8… Hope people don’t listen and vote NO!

Gosh – that McCain has really been on fire in these last few days at his rallies. He is so energetic and focused. I don’t think any commentator can talk about his age as a factor in his ability to be President. He shows no tiredness whatsoever.

I love his fighting spirit. He has not weakened, he has not given up, he has not let the pundits & polls upset his temperment.

I made calls today and people seem more interested in talking about McCain as compared to the past. Those who have not voted as yet are giving deep thought to their decision and asking questions that I don’t recall they were asking before.

It must be hard for McCain to have some of his own republican pundits on tv saying dumb stuff & appearing to give in to the mainstream hype and believing the lies. When they (his own pundits) start talking that stupid talk that it’s impossible for McCain, I just push the mute. Those republican pundits should be on these shows telling people there is still time to vote rather than crying the blues. They should all be fired for not being strong and remaining positive!

We all know that It’s never over until the votes are counted!

I’ll be in line at the polls tomorrow to vote – and I’ll stay there rain or cold – no matter how long it takes to cast my vote for McCain-Palin.

I’m with the other Pumas who have said they voted a straight republican ballot in order to send a message to the democratic party. My vote will be ALL republican as a protest of the DNC – and specifically against Reid, Brazile, Pelosi, Dean & Frank.

I’m glad I spoke with him, because he was feeling like he wasn’t going to vote at all, or perhaps for Ralph Nadar, because his partner called him the worst thing he could “Republican!” That’s when I told him about this site and all us PUMAs many of whom have never voted Republican, but were doing so because BO was so dangerous he has to be stopped. My friend agreed, so I’m pretty sure he’ll pull that lever for McCain.

Okay, since it’s out there on the blog, here goes. Erin Davisson is the news anchor for WFRV channel 5 in Green Bay. She apparently included me in her ‘reply all’ response to my e-mail sending the coal videos to the media list TT posted earlier. What I noticed about Davisson’s response was that she really didn’t refute what BO said in the videos, but was obviously defending him, almost campaigning for him. In fact, at the end, she said “Thanks for your interest, and remember to vote tomorrow,” as though the other media people who had received my e-mail had asked her for her opinion. To me, her reply is a blatant violation of journalistic ethics. She didn’t identify herself in her reply. I e-mailed her and asked who she was. This is what she replied: “This response was sent in error. It was excerpted from another e-mail received earlier today and was meant for background purposes on election day.”

So, 24 hours pass with the senator joining a group of contented souls

And at the top of my voting list is the duo of McCain/Palin. This will be my first repug vote in over 20 years.
