TALKING POINTS FOR MC CAIN CALLS

After your introductory couple of sentences, if it seems like the interaction will be a bit more involved, try to listen to what the person is saying. People like to feel that they are being heard. Also, the more you listen, the more you can see where they’re at and address their issues, concerns and even address their personality style in a way you feel would make them most able to hear you.

NATIONAL SECURITY

National security is central to everything. Without being safe, everything else is moot. JM is the only candidate we can trust who has the experience to make sound, informed decisions when it comes to our national security.

National security is the best health care plan!

McCain has served in the Senate and understands international politics in depth. Obama, on the other hand, made a fly-by-night tour of Europe this summer in order to try to boost his international credentials. You can’t cram for this!

Obama has stated he would sit down with the leaders of enemy nations without precondition. In these dangerous times, we cannot afford to have an inexperienced person with naïve views of the ways of the world in the Oval Office.

ECONOMY

Wants to keep taxes low so Americans can keep more of the money we work so hard for.

He has a plan to buy up bad debts to help homeowners maintain the value of their homes all across America as increased foreclosures leads to the devaluation of all homes in the community.

Will assess every single government program to make sure it is functioning and doing its job well. This will reduce government spending tax dollars on programs that don’t work.

BTW, re: Obama’s tax plan: when you tax small and mod sized businesses as he plans to, the pressure on them to be able to make a profit and keep their employees becomes so great that 1) they often have to lay people off which is NOT good for the economy, and 2) they increase the cost of their goods in order to meet the tax burden and that increased cost gets passed along to the consumer.

BTW, Obama is trying to the move the country’s social and economic policy to be more like that of Europe, which we now see, has failed miserably.

WAR

Does not like war, but understands that America faces grave international threats.

Wants to make sure we don’t pull out without a plan to ensure that the region remains stable.

There are many countries around the world where the US has a military presence. If this is the case in Iraq for a period of time, it will not be unique.

BTW, BO’s plan does not include a complete withdrawal, but instead, leaves about 50% of our troops in place: a half a war.

BTW, Bill Clinton deployed our troops an enormous number of times during his administration. No one likes or wants war. But the world is complex and dangerous and threats must be addressed accordingly.

HEALTHCARE

Will give Americans an annual $5,000 tax credit to use toward purchasing the health plan of their choice.

Will not force Americans to purchase a plan they don’t want and will not penalize people who want to have choices.

Plan will be good for American families and small business owners. It will not put undo pressure on small business owners, pressure that could force them to lay people off or go out of business.

SOCIAL SECURITY

Will make sure SS remains sound and solid, ensuring that our elderly population and those who are aging will be secure.

EDUCATION

Is in favor of school vouches. Believes parents should have the option of sending their child to a good school and not be forced to keep their child in a school that underperforms.

BTW, BO is against vouchers, yet sends his own children to private school. Hypocritical.

EXPERIENCE

Has dedicated his life to serving his country, first as a soldier then as a Senator.

Obama’s never held a single job for 4 consecutive years and has only 143 days of experience…..

GETTING THINGS ACCOMPLISEHD IN DC

McCain has a track record of bipartisan work to move legislations forward. Obama has no such record.

AGE CONCERNS

Is perfectly health. Has released his health records. Has a healthily mother who is in her 90’s. The family’s got great genes!

Anything can happen to anyone at any time. Obama has not released his health records. JFK had Addison’s disease.

SARAH PALIN

Has more experience than Obama.

Is the only person among all four major party candidates (Pres and VP) with Executive experience.

Has been maligned by the media much as Clinton was; has been the target of bias simply because she is a woman.

PLATFORM / PARTY SYMPATHIES

For those who are not really sympathetic to Republican platform: There are times when things get down to the basics. In this election, we haven’t the luxury of wanting to have it all. The opponent is too risky and we must all choose the candidate with the experience to lead and who we can trust.

Given the budget deficient and the recent economic collapse, even for those who agree with much of what Obama is promising, there’s no way he will be able to deliver because there is no money there for it.

OBAMA NEGATIVES

Lack of experience.

Associations with hate mongers, convicted felons, and former terrorists.

History of aligning himself with those who express anti-American sentiments, as he has also done, for ex, while overseas. What presidential candidate goes overseas and then speaks ill of their own country.

Willingness to sit down with leaders of enemy nations without preconditions.

Lies and flip flops (public campaign funds, FISA + minimizes relationships with those who are highly questionable characters.

Has not released records….

Talks of transparency yet hides his records.

Talks of equal pay for equal work, yet pays his female staffers 78 cents on the dollar as compared to his male staffers.

Is all talk. No achievement. Bad associations.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post about the rally this morning in Virginia is that McCain mentioned that Obama said in the Informercial that should he lose the election, he would come back and try again in four years. I find that VERY telling. During the primaries, Obama NEVER said as much that he was going to lose. He went around all cocky because he knew that he had it in the bag with the DNC handing it to him. It was Hillary who would say that she would work hard for the winning candidate. Obama said that vaguely one time early on and never said it again. I find it very interesting that he said it the other night.

Another thing fromt the rally is that there were a LOT of young people at the rally. There were more than I expected to see. It was great news. They were cheering loudly too. Not all the youth have drunk the kool aid.

Anna, I don’t know where you are working but I just got confirmation of two more converts today. A couple I know and have been talking to for weeks have decided to vote MCCain. They were Obie voters. A young man in college who WAS supporting “O” told me today “It seems like he is promising everything to everybody” This young man. Roberto, just got back from a two week ambassador tour for his asb .
I told him about ACORN (he had heard nothing bout then) and the connection between “O” and Fanni mae-freddie mac. O also mentioned the lowering of his tax threshold. Btw, he didn’t bother to watch the infomercial.
He hasn’t decided McCAIN yet but, two weeks ago he was firmly in Obies corner.

I agree with you. He won’t have a chance in h*ll to run again. I was just surprised that he entertained the idea that he might lose. His internal polling may not be what they want. It’s also interesting that some writers are coming out with stories now about an Obama loss being due to “racism.” We all know that’s not true and we expected the media/press to take that route. However, do these writers know something is brewing for Tuesday?

Zeituni Onyango, Sen. Barack Obama’s long-lost half-aunt who was discovered living in public housing in Boston earlier this week, is in the U.S. illegally, the Associated Press reported Friday.

The Obama campaign, which has generally refused to comment on any of Obama’s myriad half-siblings scattered throughout the globe, has generally refused to comment on Onyango though the campaign did confirm to the Times of London for its Saturday edition that she is Obama’s father’s half-sister.

Earlier this week the Times of London and the Boston Globe found the woman referred to in Obama’s memoir “Dreams From My Father” as “Aunt Zeituni.”

A person familiar with Onyango’s immigration status told the AP Friday that she “was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request…Onyango’s refusal to leave the country would represent an administrative, non-criminal violation of U.S. immigration law, meaning such cases are handled outside the criminal court system. Estimates vary, but many experts believe there are more than 10 million such immigrants in the United States.

A searchable database of campaign donations on the Huffington Post indicates that Onyango has given her nephew’s presidential campaign $260 the Times reports that the donations she has given have been in small increments under $200 so by law they do not show up on Federal Election Commission reports.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., discloses donations of all amounts; he has criticized Obama for not disclosing all donations, saying such a process lends itself to illegal contributions, such as — presumably — Onyango’s.

my daughter picked up the phone with an immediate hangup from the caller. It was a poll. it said so on the caller id. she suspects they phoned her then hang up and fill out the form for Obama. but the person can prove a phone call.

It is critically important that all random calls respond to a poll to keep the error rate down. so hanging up is a no no for the poll. Strange behavior.

I just read this on the Patriot Room blog:

The polling is focused on 15 to 20 states. The polling shows “undecideds breaking for McCain by 4 to 1.

New Jersey: McCain leads 48 to 43, with 7% undecided.
Michigan: McCain leads 44 to 42, with 10% undecided.
California: Obama leads 44 to 43, with 9/% undecided, 3% for Barr.
Pennsylvania: McCain leads 55 to 33, with 10% undecided. In Pennsylvania Obama only leads among Democrats by 47 to 37, with 14% undecided.
The two reasons Democrats are citing for voting for McCain are because Obama is “cheating” and “attempting to buy the election.”

If this proves to be true, it will be one of the greatest testaments to the goodness, wisdom and decency of the American people ever manifested in our history. Despite all the concerted efforts of the media and political elites, and the millions spent to move America to an agenda we have always rejected, Americans, in the quiet of their hearts, have seen what the Obama campaign is really about. Should we be shocked that even Democrats see their party’s nominee as an American-hating liar, fraud and cheat, who will say or do anything to hide his core beliefs, his closest friends and associates, his radical, Marxist ideology, and his commitment to undermine the Constitution, the freedoms and institutions of our country?

If these extraordinary numbers are true, God has heard the fervent prayers of millions, and not the hate-filled injunction of Obama’s pastor that America be damned.

I have had a busy day,made lots of calls. Just wanted to share last night I was on yahoo(late)so I decided to check out their election map,anyway it was the popular vote map. John McCain was ahead with 40% of the votes counted?(by several thousand)
Interesting was the fact he was only behind in Ca by about 700 votes.
I did not know they were aloud to release the vote early,

Huckabee had a couple of business men on his show today. One of the men said he was undecided who to vote for. He side with Obama because he is also a minority but he felt linked with McCain because he was a Navy man.

He went on to say that his accountant had put together some figures for him and he knows under McCain’s plan he would save $400,000.00 and under Obama’s tax plan he would pay $2,000,000.00 but he’s still not sure who he will vote for.

Huckabee said with those figures how could he not know who to vote for.

Here’s why I’m asking; I know a few people who have been victims of abuse (don’t we all). I noticed recently, this common hatred toward Sarah Palin that made no logical sense. They were frothing in their disgust of Palin. Worse they were deciding to vote FOR Obama due to this hatred of Palin. After some investigating, I realized this woman was THE common denominator and influence in their perspective.

Debbie Ford. She a FOO (Friend of Oprah) and has a significant following.

These blog posts are cultish irrational, and shockingly manipulative. If you were to follow her logic, a victim of abuse could reclaim his or her health by voting for Obama. She claims we all suffer what she calls “Battered Nation Syndrome” and Obama is the fix. She is exploiting wounded fragile people to gain votes for The One.

I know there are much hotter irons in the fire right before the election, but I also feel part of what we do is stand up to this kind of exploitation. Obama will abuse the nation, not McCain. Opportunists like Debbie Ford whose readership is largely women who are wounded and searching, should know other woman (and men) like us are watching.

I know we are all prioritizing our time right now, but if you would take a moment to burst her bubble it would be appreciated.

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Farmer John Dewell drove 40 miles on Friday to hear Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s impassioned plea for Buckeye State voters to propel him to the White House.

Dewell, 74, of Scio, who raises beef cattle on a 157-acre farm, showed up for a rally at the courthouse with a McCain-Palin button pinned to his denim overalls.

“There for a while I thought, well, we’ve got four more years of Bush, or Barack Obama. I have changed my opinion,” Dewell said. “John McCain has got the ideas to get us up out of this mess we’re in.”

Dewell was not alone. Several thousand supporters cheered as McCain’s Straight Talk Express bus cruised into sight in this Rust Belt region, where Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 2-to-1.

McCain, on the final leg of a two-day swing through Eastern Ohio, is in a tight race with Democratic nominee Barack Obama for Ohio’s 20 electoral votes. President George W. Bush twice carried the state, and the narrow victory here in 2004 sealed his re-election.

“You are going to be the battleground state again. You are going to be the one that decides,” the Arizona Republican told supporters. “I need Ohio, and I need you.”

Obama leads by 3 to 9 percentage points in various polls. But that did not appear to discourage supporters.

“I like that McCain has experience in government. I”m going to vote for him,” said David Lalich, 63, of Steubenville, a Democratic city councilman and retired steelworker. “I also like (Gov. Sarah) Palin. I think she’s doing a good job in Alaska. She’s had some experience, and I think if something were to happen to Mr. McCain, she could step right in.”

“Let’s be quite honest,” Lalich added, “the president isn’t the only person who runs the country.”

Joseph ‘Slugs’ Smarrella, 64, another Democrat, retired steelworker and former union official, said McCain’s push for “clean coal technology” could help revive the economy in a region that was hard hit by the decline of the steel industry. When Smarrella was a young man, he said, the local Steelworkers union had about 13,000 members, and now there are about 1,600.

“I like McCain’s stance on most of the issues,” Smarrella said. “On the economy. The war. Abortion. Guns. I’ve been a Democrat all my life. My grandfather and father worked in the mills. Three generations.”

Obama, campaigning in Iowa yesterday, told supporters to expect McCain’s campaign to end in a crescendo of attacks on him.

“More of the slash and burn, say-anything, do-anything politics that’s calculated to divide and distract; to tear us apart instead of bringing us together,” Obama told 25,000 in Des Moines.

Obama quoted McCain saying during his 2000 campaign for president, “I will not take the low road to the highest office in this land.”

“The high road didn’t lead him to the White House then, so this time, he decided to take a different route,” Obama said.

At the Steubenville rally, McCain described Obama as steering “in the left-lane of American politics.”

“Senator Obama wants to spread the wealth around. He wants to take your money and give it to somebody else,” McCain charged.

Dewell, the farmer, said he would advise McCain to come down harder on issues such as Obama’s former pastor in Chicago, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

“I’d like to talk to him eyeball to eyeball. He needs to get mad,” Dewell said.

The NUMBER of voters is not a problem; but the counts are held until election day, I believe. The exit polling, which has its own problems, could be used to extrapolate results.

But I’m not absolutely sure of the rules in various states.

Brian and Tennessee – You can always call your state SoS to find out the rules and/or go to their web site (or that of any state SoS with early voting, for that matter) and see if they post actual results. I happen to think that even posting exit polling is bs. In past years, the media has always wrung its hands over the ethics of doing this and seem to agree they should hold off till polls close across the country, while also wanting to be the first to jump on numbers to get viewers and ratings, etc. Now, with all this early voting, even if the SoS doesn’t release the hard numbers, I think it’s terrible to have exit polls. Polling people ahead of time as to who they plan to vote for is one thing, but exit polls are one step closer to getting a sense of the real vote tally and announcing that can have a devastating effect on those who have yet to vote, in my opinion. But, hey, what’s new? Is anything going on that isn’t bs? If there is, it’s surely hard to find. I even just discovered today that after weeks of going to American Thinker every morning and posting on every article and blog a short blurb urging folks to make calls for McCain to swing states only to discover today that the editor hasn’t been printing my posts. I’m so fed up. The Dems drifted away. The Republicans have never been my home and, as far as I can tell, are pretty freaking complacent. I feel like all I’ve got are PUMAs (thank God for that).

National Campaign Fund president and independent ad producer, Floyd Brown, has petitioned the Los Angeles Times with letters and demands that transcripts of what’s on the tape be released immediately. The Times claims it promised its source not to reveal the tape. Brown maintains this is no grounds for withholding a transcript, at the very least.

The reason the tape is considered so important is because of what it might reveal. According to a very reputable blogsite, the tape would be extremely damning to Obama if it were released. The Doug Ross blog has posted quotes allegedly found on the tape. The source said to verify these quotes has proven very credible. Here is an excerpt from the blogsite. “He (Obama) congratulates Khalidi for his work saying ‘Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine’ plus there’s been ‘genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.’”

Not sure if you saw my message yesterday … just want you to know that I emailed Murphy with a message for her to forward my email address to you. I’m sure she has a ton of emails to get through over the next few days so you may not get the info for a while.

My interview yesterday went great, will find out on Tuesday if I have the job. On my way to Baton Rouge I saw a huge beautiful American Bald Eagle flying overhead … this is always a good omen for me.

I find this interesting, I’m 45 yrs old, and up until 9 months ago I had only seen about three Bald Eagle sightings in the wild. But over the last 9 months I have seen about 12 sightings, including a very rare sighting of two eagles mating in flight. I was driving when I saw these two eagles flying together so I pulled over just in time to see them come together, lock talons and spin together toward the ground … it was amazing!! I like to think that this is a sign that McCain will be our next POTUS and truth will prevail.

After reading yesterday’s Jersey Journal endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama for president, the Rev. Alexander Santora, the Journal’s religion columnist, sent this piece along, offering a different point of view:

I am proud to reveal that I am voting for John McCain and Sarah Palin in Tuesday’s election. And this comes from the former co-chair for McGovern for President campaign at St. Peter’s College in 1972, my first vote for President.
I am a lifelong Democrat who has voted Democrat in every primary and election from local to national since that time except when I voted for Bret Schundler in the Republican primary and gubernatorial election in 2001.

And I do not consider myself a convert.

I admit I was disappointed that Hillary Clinton did not get the Democratic nomination. She was clearly the stronger of the two Democrats and actually won the most delegates if they were awarded as most elections are — winner take all. Were it not for affirmative action tallying, Barack Obama would be back in the Senate trying to build up the record he does not have now. He is a talented individual who shows much promise but is untested and undistinguished in his public life thus far.

And experience means more to me. I want someone who has been through the battles and can forge bipartisan leadership on some of the key issues facing the American people.

When Clinton lost, I tinkered with writing her name in next Tuesday. I did not want to vote Republican. Until McCain selected Palin. I like her. She is totally different from any candidate for national office in my lifetime. Her experience comes from her executive experience even if it is in smaller venues than most.

And she’s kind of the frontier woman that feminists would normally be proud of. What hasn’t she done! She shows great poise, connects with her audiences and is clear on what she believes. She may not have been McCain’s first choice for VP but he chose her and it reveals that he has the ability to shake things up.

Because of her, I looked more closely at McCain and found that there are some things I like about him.

He bucked his party on immigration and campaign reform, for example, and showed that he can cross the aisle and work with some of the liberal lions like Ted Kennedy and Russ Feingold.

I did not agree with the Iraq War but that is history. What we need now is someone who can extricate us with dignity and McCain has the background and chops to do that.

But I am especially proud of their pro-life record and support. I like that Palin brings her family on the campaign, especially her newborn son, and speaks of the dignity of the human person. I have never been happy with the Democratic party’s support of choice, which means pro-abortion. And how one can even fathom third trimester abortion, like Obama! Even the late Senator Daniel Moynihan, no liberal slouch, once referred to it as infanticide. We may not change these laws overnight but we can change as the late Pope John Paul II called the culture of death to one of life.

I think many feminists dislike Palin because she’s a totally different strain of woman. I find it interesting that snobby Peggy Noonan, former presidential speech writer, dislikes Palin. And yet she reveals the diversity of women in our country. It’s not all intellectual theory and words. McCain and Palin get my vote this time.

I am in NW Washington state where eagle sightings are very common, especially along the Skagit River where I used to live for 20 years.
Let’s hope they weren’t fighting instead of mating.
There are basically, two sets of eagles. There are the permanent residents. They are usually in pairs that mate for life. Eagles have been observed flying into cliffs to die when their mates have perished.
Then there are the migratory birds that come down from alaska for the milder weather and the salmon and Steelhead runs. some years there are more, some years less.
My intuitive feeling is that it may be a sign that the election will not be decided on Tuesday, but may drag on for a period of time. What happened when the birds reached the ground?

What’s so twisted is one of the women who told me they hate Sarah Palin and all she stands for…a la Debbie Ford told me that

“chronic high heel wearing is only to seduce and please men”

When I asked if that was a reason to vote FOR Obama, the response was…

“This says alot about John McCain’s judgement”.

Any American who uses his full name is trying to scare voters, his wife charges. But Obama says he understands why Islamic terror group Hamas looks at his middle name and trusts him.

Ditto for his plan to meet with Iran’s madman president and other rogue leaders. Obama sees his open-door policy as evidence he will end President Bush’s “cowboy diplomacy.” When Bush slammed that plan Thursday as “appeasement,” Obama accused him of a “false political attack.”

It’s a legitimate attack, because Obama’s kumbaya foreign policy is dangerous. And his name, including the Hussein part, is fair game because Obama has declared it an international advantage.

He can want it both ways, but he can’t have it.

The trouble started when Hamas adviser Ahmed Yousef said, “We like Mr. Obama” and added, “we hope he wins the election.”

That’s an endorsement, plain and simple. When John McCain jumped in, promising to be Hamas’ “worst enemy,” Obama got huffy and accused McCain of “divisive fear-mongering.”

That’s par for the Obama course. Michelle Obama once said anyone using her husband’s full name is throwing the “ultimate fear bomb. When all else fails, be afraid of his name.”

Maybe we should be afraid. Consider what Obama says in an interview in the current Atlantic magazine.

Asked by writer Jeffrey Goldberg if he was “flummoxed” by the Hamas support, Obama responds no and says: “It’s conceivable that there are those in the Arab world who say to themselves, ‘This is a guy who spent some time in the Muslim world, has a middle name of Hussein and appears more worldly and has called for talks with people, and so he’s not going to be engaging in the same sort of cowboy diplomacy as George Bush,’ and that’s something they’re hopeful about.”

He adds: “That’s a perfectly legitimate perception as long as they’re not confused about my unyielding support for Israel’s security.”

In fact, there is confusion. Some of it goes to his long relationship with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, whose church magazine printed anti-Israel views. There is no evidence Obama objected.

The Atlantic interview adds to the confusion. While Obama stresses the importance of Israel to Jews, he also seems to parrot liberal nonsense that blames the entire Mideast conflict on Israeli settlements.

He even links Israeli parents’ concern for their children’s safety to settlements, posing the question: “Is settlement policy conducive to relieving that over the long term, or is it just making the situation worse?”

WRONG QUESTION. The right one is why should Israel or anyone else meet with Hamas, which won’t recognize Israel’s right to exist and fires rockets into civilian areas? Hamas’ vow to destroy Israel has nothing to do with settlements or borders.

One question has been answered, though. Now we know why Hamas prefers Barack Hussein Obama. He’s told us himself.

Chicks from the west coast of Canada etc. were hand-reared by hand puppets, taught to fly, and sprinkled throughout their traditional range. I don’t think Obama’s spiritually evolved enough to even comprehend “forgiveness” the way McCain has. People who have the capacity to forgive in such depth are touched by grace, (in my book). It’s a truly special person who has that capacity and I am always awed by them.

This is the kind of disinformation and outright fabrication the Jeremiah Wrights and Billy Ayers of the world like to push. Unbelievable.

I guess they missed the parts of the Old Testament about the Jews being enslaved by the Egyptians. Or how the Koran to this day approves of enslaving vanquished populations.

The most notorious slave trader of the 19th century was an African Muslim named Tippu Tib. He took the slavery trade to the next level. When faced with the problem of how to get elephant ivory transported from the interior of Africa to the coast, the solution was human transport. Sell the ivory and make a prifit. Sell the slaves and make a profit. It was Tippu’s work that fueled the abolitionist movement in England in the 19th century.

As for the US, slavery was indeed a black mark on the hostory of this country. But it existed here for a mere 75 years. Prior to independence, the US was divided among the Spanish, the English, the French and the Portugese, all nations that had a long history of slavery. And for the record, the US is the only country that engaged in a civil war for the abolition of slavery. Over 600,000 men lost their lives in the Civil War. That is a staggering number, especially when you consider at the time the entire population of the US was around 15 million. Many more were wounded.

The truth does not quite fit into the liberation theology theme, nor the rantings of those who contrive warped versions of the past for the purpose of replacing a democractic republic with a communist state. I have been in many parts of the world, largely thanks to an all expense paid “trip” courtesy of the US military, and I can say with all honesty that there is no more free a place in this world, nor a place where opportunities are available to all citizens. You really have to question why people want to change that. It sounds so enticing in the abstract – give up a little freedom for greater security. But, as Benjamin Franklin stated, those who would sacrifice freedom for security are deserving of neither. And those who would make that Faustian bargain would rue the day they traded freedom for the shackles of communist rule.

If Barack Obama is not a socialist, he does the best imitation of one I’ve ever seen.

Under his tax plan, the top 5 percent of wage-earners have their income tax rates raised from 35 percent to 40 percent, while the bottom 40 percent of all wage-earners, who pay no income tax, are sent federal checks.

If this is not the socialist redistribution of wealth, what is it?

A steeply graduated income tax has always been the preferred weapon of the left for bringing about socialist equality. Indeed, in the “Communist Manifesto” of 1848, Karl Marx was himself among the first to call for “a heavy progressive or graduated income tax.”

The Obama tax plan is pure Robin Hood class warfare: Use the tax power of the state to rob the successful and reward the faithful. Only in Sherwood Forest it was assumed the Sheriff of Nottingham and his crowd had garnered their wealth by other than honest labor. “Spread the wealth,” Barack admonished Joe the Plumber.

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need,” said old Karl in 1875. When Barbara West of WFTV in Orlando, Fla., put the Marx quote to Biden, however, Joe recoiled in spluttering disbelief.

West: “You may recognize this famous quote: ‘From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.’ That’s from Karl Marx. How is Sen. Obama not being a Marxist if he intends to spread the wealth around?”

Biden: “Are you joking? Is this a joke?”

Biden’s better defense, however, might have be the “Tu quoque!” retort: “You, too!” — the time-honored counter-charge of hypocrisy.

Indeed, how do Republicans who call Obama a socialist explain their support for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, welfare and the Earned Income Tax Credit? What are these if not government-mandated transfers of wealth to the middle and working class, and the indigent and working poor?

Since August, the Bush-Paulson team has seized our biggest S&L, Washington Mutual, and largest insurance company, AIG. It has nationalized Fannie and Freddie, pumped scores of billions into our banks, bailed out GM, Ford and Chrysler, and paid the $29 billion dowry for Bear Stearns to enter its shotgun marriage with JPMorgan Chase.

And with federal, state and local taxes taking a third of gross domestic product, and government regulating businesses with wage-and-hour laws, civil rights laws, environmental laws, and occupational health and safety laws, what are we living under, if not a mixed socialist-capitalist system?

Norman Thomas is said to have quit running for president on the Socialist ticket after six campaigns because the Democratic Party had stolen all his ideas and written them into its platforms.

Did Ike repeal the New Deal? Did Richard Nixon roll back the Great Society? Nope. He funded the Great Society. Did Ronald Reagan cut federal spending? Nope, defense spending soared. Bill Clinton slashed defense, but George Bush II set social spending records with No Child Left Behind and prescription drug benefits for the elderly under Medicare. Surpluses vanished, deficits returned, the national debt almost doubled.

Is the old republic then dead and gone, in the irretrievable past? Are we engaged in an argument settled before we were born?

In his 1938 essay “The Revolution Was,” Garet Garrett wrote:

“There are those who think they are holding the pass against a revolution that may be coming up the road. But they are gazing in the wrong direction. The revolution is behind them. It went by in the Night of the Depression, singing songs to freedom.”

Nevertheless, there is a difference not just of degree but of kind between unemployment compensation for jobless workers, welfare for destitute families, and confiscating the income of taxpayers who earned it — to hand out to chronic tax consumers who did not.

This last is the socialism Winston Churchill called “the philosophy of envy and gospel of greed.” And it is this suggestion of socialist ideology in Obama’s words that has produced the belated pause by a nation that seemed to be moving into his camp. What did Barack say in 2001?

He spoke of the inadequacy of the courts as institutions to bring about “redistributive change” in society, of the “tragedy” of the civil rights movement in losing sight of the “political and organizing activities on the ground that are able to bring about the coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change.”

Normal people don’t talk like that. Socialists do.

This is ideology speaking. This is the redistributionist drivel one hears from cosseted college radicals and the “Marxist professors” Obama says in his memoir he sought out at the university. It is the language of social parasites like William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and Father Pfleger.

Enforced egalitarianism entails the death of excellence. For it seizes the rewards that excellence earns and turns them over to politicians and bureaucrats for distribution to the mediocrities upon whose votes they depend. One need not be Ayn Rand to see that Barack has picked up from past associates utopian notions that have ever produced nightmare states.

I’ve spent 40 years of my life working in the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest. And I can safely say that he better not bring those urban civilian army out there cuz they already proved they can’t make it there. It terrifies them and that’s why they stay here instead of going to Africa.
9 out of 10 quit within 3 days. I’ve seen even the biggest reduced to quivering masses of jello by just the sound of a twig snapping. Funniest thing you could imagine. One time, one of my crew hollered, “Bear!!!” and 3 of them ran as fast as they could back to the crewbus.

Um….I just watched that Obama youth brigade youtube. I hate to say it but I’ve seen youth brigades in uniform and formations before.

Islamic. Urban kids. Fine. I’ve been raked over the coals on other PUMA sites for speaking up, but if that’s a religion of peace, why the military training and formations? I’m talking about in Boston. American urban youth. All male. In uniform. Both on the street in urban centers and once they came to “demonstrate” their drills at a performance site I used to frequent.

It was frightening. Yes, structure is good for kids, but kids are also most susceptible to cults. I mean the Obama Cult.

Yes, I had read about some of those things a month or two ago while reading up on Obama & Native Americans. There are some very BIG native american tribes on the west coast who were HUGE Hillary supporters. No idea how they are going to be voting.

The thing that make me so angry about the brain washing of the children is that they are hardwired to believe adults in authority over them are telling the truth and have the children’s best interest at heart. What is programmed into them at this impressionable time is what will stick with them and shape their values as an adult. So if we defeat this Olyingcrook this time around (AND I BELIEVE WE WILL) we will have to deal with his cr*p for at the very least another generation to come. This is where Ayers and company had the insight to take their fight from violence in the city streets, to the education system. It may take a little longer to infiltrate from within but it is more thorough and harder to counter, because we never see it coming until it’s too late.

The show Ireferenced above on Fox was Huckabee and Fox is rerunning it at least on the east coast right now.

I know a majority of PUMA’s would like to clean out the Dem party and rebuild it but I am hoping that this election will lead to a total American Clean Out.

Wash out the Dem’s and bring on the PUMA party.

New writers, new commentators, new program directors, new party platforms, new people running the country that are NOT those who backed OBAMA.

I am 60 years old and have been watching the same guys on television most of my life. I’m okay with that until they all went over the edge for Obama. If I am 60 and can see what is wrong here, why can’t the professionals????

How did the “kids” at SNL actually do a favor for John McCain in their last show when the “News” anchors were doing a total spin on the news.

SNL actually came closer to Fox’s even coverage than did CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN. How does that happen unless the entire newsocracy is totally unbalanced, when a comedy show turns out more balanced than all of the major networks news shows?

Time to not only clean up the Democrat party, this country needs to replace the news aristocracy that is not even aware enough to know when they are all being hoodwinked into placing the Trojan Horse of the old Weather Underground leaders/criminals into power. Obama is nothing more than the puppet of the Ayers family who are trying desperately to convince the U.S. that Bill and Bernadine were good guys who saw the truth and have real understanding about how the world should be one big socialist country under them.

They just don’t want us to know that right now. But as soon as Nov 4th is over then Obama’s step aunt can talk, and maybe Obama’s Grandma can talk, and maybe Bill Ayers can talk, and then all of the others who have kept quiet can talk. The rappers who shut down after Obama hushed them after the “bitch Hillary” rap came out, say they can talk after Nov 4th also. Rev. Wright who said that Obama didn’t change, he just had to say different because he is a politician will be back out from under the bus. Rezko will be out of jail and Farikan will be gathering the troops for Obama.

Better to just cut out Obama and everyone who has backed him without thinking what this would mean for America, or who does know what it will mean for America and thinks Obama would be just as good for this country as Hitler was for Germany.

If you don’t learn from history, you will damn well keep repeating it until you get it right.

Obama followers have been brainwashed. A sign of brainwashing is their reaction. If you say anything against Obama they flip out…It’s like being hypnotized in as much some can be very easily and some not at all.

Also with brainwashing key words ilicit responsive behaviour and they become defensive and nasty which you all have experienced when you even make mention of voting for anyone else. They close down immediately as well.

I read a 67 pg. article with regard to how they explained that when Obama was doing his speeches he used pauses in his speech, and he used his hands. Closed his index and thumb at certain points, using key phrases over and over again. It was quite interesting.

Watch him next time and you’ll see what I mean. You can google the article I’m sure you can find it.
