UPDATE 5:45pm Eastern: Here are lots of pictures of the Protest.
Puma PAC’s own goofsmom and dad have organized a protest in front of the LA Times Building at 1st and Spring Streets in downtown L.A.
Over 100 Pumas are there already. CNN is there. Michelle Malkin is talking about it on the radio. I’ve spoken with Fox news and they’re getting a crew to the protest as we write.
Here’s the PROWL, for all of us members not in L.A. to help out our brave and patriotic Pumas on the street today!
Please, everyone — take part in this PROWL. Share it with every Puma you know.
Call these numbers for the next 3 hours and demand the LA Times releases the Khalidi Tape.

Subject: LA Times PROWL
Dear Puma PAC,
Today we are demanding that the LA Times release the videotape of Barack Obama at a Chicago dinner for Rashid Khalidi. Khalidi is a prominent pro-Palestine scholar and professor at Columbia University who has written extensively about Palestinian issues. Unsurprisingly, he is not popular in many pro-Israeli circles. This is irrelevant to our effort. Rashid Khalidi is not the point. What is at issue here is what Barack Obama said at the dinner, and more importantly, what on earth is a supposedly free press organization like the L.A. Times doing suppressing the story? They’ve admitted they have the tape, including Obama’s remarks, but they won’t even release a transcript. Why not?
This is an egregious example of how our corporate media has lost its way. The L.A. Times clearly believes the tape contains images or words that may be damaging to one of the candidates running for President, and so rather than sharing that information with the electorate and allowing us to make up our own minds, the L.A. Times is deciding to “help” us make up our minds by withholding facts. They are attempting to “guide” the outcome of a presidential election by withholding information in their possession.
Imagine if the L.A. Times had a tape of, say, Sarah Palin at a dinner for a prominent anti-abortion leader in which she addresses the audience and lavishes praise on the anti-abortion activist. Do you think it would be right for the newspaper to refuse to release even a transcript of the event? I don’t. And do you think that if any newspaper or media outlet in this country DID have such a tape of Sarah Palin then we’d be seeing non-stop Palin clips ALL over the networks, the internet day and night until November 4th?
YOU BETCHA we would!
Puma PAC, this is a VERY important PROWL. Please take part.
Thank you and Good Luck,
Murphy.

***** PUMA THANKS TO MAYOR JEFFERY PRANG *****
Mayor Prang is Responsible for the Palin effigy coming down.
Please send a note of thanks from PUMA: Jprang@weho.org
And thanks to TheCandyPoem for such a powerful letter!
REPOST from downstairs:
thecandypoem wrote:
Yesterday I wrote to Mayor Jeffrey Prang of West Hollywood, asking him to take down the Sarah Palin effigy hanging on a noose.
“Dear Mayor Jeffrey Prang,
As a woman, I find the effigy of Sarah Palin to be a hate speech act. My reasoning: Women all over the world are killed, maimed, and routinely burned (for example India) when certain men find them inconvenient. If Obama effigy was being hung, it would be considered hate speech, because of U.S. history. By the same token, when Palin effigy is hung, it should be considered hate speech, because of world history. The U.S. is a part of the world.
How would Palin’s children feel if they saw this scenario of their mother while going trick-or-treating? How do other children feel in West Hollywood? The message the adults are sending seems to be: It is OK to hang a woman but not a black man.
As a Mayor of a wonderful and colorful city in our country, please use your authority to end this ugliness. Nothing good will come of displays like these, just more hatred. One may not agree with Sarah Palin, but she does have the right to life and happiness.
We are sending an ugly message to the world. You, Mayor Jeffrey Prang, can end it, and people will applaud you.
Thank you for hearing me out,
Sincerely……”
Today the effigy was taken down. Mayor Prang received many emails, and used his authority to convince the pranksters this prank was too ugly.
This is his statement: “I respect that we all have the right to freedom of speech. However, with that right comes responsibility. While these residents have the legal right to the display of Sen. McCain and Governor Palin, I strong oppose political speech that references violence – real or perceived. Politics in America has become extremely polarized in recent years and we all have a responsibility to focus on our political differences in a thoughtful, and peaceful manner. I urge these residents to take down their display and find more constructive ways to express their opinion.”
Mayor Prang also responded to my email, thanking me for my “nice, and respectful note,” and said it was “a refreshing change from the vile stuff I have received today.”
We should all send Mayor Prang a note of thanks to “Mayor Jeffrey Prang”

Well hell PUMAs – looks like things are breaking all over – just decided to answer the phone becuz the MN DFL was calling – wanted to see what they would say – the young lady on the phone gave me the spiel and then said would I be willing to call & get support for the ‘pimp’ – I told her absolutely no – never gonna happen – she says, do I have the wrong person & and I said no – I was/am a Hillary Clinton supporter and will never, ever vote for the pimp – but, but, but – their positions are almost the same & I said yes they are because he stole all her ideas – I said remember the debates – he was always ‘what she said’ – I told her that May 31 did it for me – & she asked what that was – OMG – had to give her history lesson – was only 5 months ago – then she said her mother feels same way – I said oh – is she a PUMA too & she laughed & said, I guess – said she understood she wasn’t going to change my mind – I said no – the Democratic Party decided it didn’t need me & I don’t recognize what it has become – said I was voting for McCain & Palin and that I like Palin and that she is truly a feminist and that I realized that the Dems controlled women by hanging the RoeVWade over us & that it was a bogus threat – she said well I guess I won’t change your mind and that we’re polling ahead – I told her keep thinking that & remember what I said on November 5 when you realize the pimp has lost…………….

Let’s turn it up a notch-
sad this energy isn’t going to Hillary but for those still sad about voting GOP, think of what Will Bower said last night- we have been LIBERATED from the corruption of the DNC.
We can re-shape our party or build a new one that does more than pay lip service to women and keep them shackled for fear of their reproductive rights.
Sometimes we take the path we weren’t expecting to get where we need to go.

Isn’t it funny Mick, however, the hate crime laws do not protect women as there is no specific “gender” clause on the books. Yet all of this exists and women are arguably (as we are made up of many ethnicities) one of the most oppressed class of persons, period.

Well, Ladies & Gents, I just sent my own message to the LA Times dozen email addresses. This is another thing I never thought I would do added to many other things I never thought I would do in an election. The short list of these includes:
1) Sending multiple donations to campaigns
2) Making friends with Hillary supporters (you all!). I’ve been lurking for a month or more now, and although Rush has his doubts about how “real” you all are, I do not. I have read every day of your devotion to your country. I have read about people out with flyers and signs and even voting for a Republican for the first time in your life. (From personal experience, we really are not that bad!
3) Seeing behind how easily we are all manipulated by the “free press.” I have now posted head’s up on blogs to things that have been said in and by our free press–including the cover up of Joe Biden’s New World Order “gaffe” that was actually taped over by someone at the station to cover it up. As a former journalist, I saw the rabidly liberal sentiments in the newsroom in college (even in a VERY conservative area). I began to understand even then how the reporters make the news as much as they cover it. I have watched this election cycle as a quiet bias became ever louder.
And then I found y’all and your compadres at HillBuzz and TX Darlin’ and No Quarter, and not only did my “news gathering” options change and expand, my love for my country–Repubs & Dems increased dramatically! See, I thought the Dems were those people on my TV lying to me every day. I thought they were the Dems in Congress who did nothing to stop lying and theft and then turning around and saying, “We are doing everything we can to remedy the situation” that THEY created!
I see now that those are not the Dems. You are. And so today, I joined in on your prowl (although I changed that bottom part to “PUMA PAC Republican” which ought to blow a few minds). I did not vote for Hillary, but I saw the tactics used. In the 2012 election, I probably will not vote for the candidate you vote for, but today, I am a proud PUMA, and together we will take our country BACK from the Socialists and the Communists and those who believed that we would all simply lay over and let them walk all over us!
Today, I STAND UP AND FIGHT! TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE HISTORY!

I think I’m in love. Where has this guy been all my life? He’s the answer to the Obama Girl. Searching for his other vid now. (Warning: He’s unapologetically pro-life, so I hope that doesn’t step on toes here– I know we’ve all got our opinions on the subject). Anyway, if you know any young fence-sitters, this may speak their language.

Hi DWP – I don’t have a newsletter – I’m just one of the original members of PUMAPac – joined on June 5 – forgot to mention that the chick told me “Isn’t this like cutting off your nose to spite your face?” Huh?? Said maybe but still couldn’t vote for the pimp – said I put up with Shrub for 8 years and could handle 4 yrs of McPalin……………
Used to be pretty active on the blog but mostly these days I just to the prowls and comment every once in awhile –
I continue to be amazed, humbled and thrilled by the members of our PAC – and can hardly wait to see what will happen on November 5 – will be an election judge on Tuesday – should be interesting…………..to say the least…………….

Have been contacting the LA Times all week.
Great prowl, though I strongly disagree with what is outlined as being the point. Part of the point IS Khalidi, who you write far too kindly about. He’s a former PLO terrorist and that is very much part of the point and goes to Obama’s associations. If he were just the academic scholar you describe, I doubt many would be as concerned about this tape at all.

He just kept on tap dancing and said he didn’t have access to any information and it must be something to do with the editorial or advertising department. Whereupon I asked him how much the Times pays people to act so stupid and he hung up on me.

Great day for PUMA’s
OMG…stunned. I was catching up on feeds from other blogs and came across a post on Debbie Ford’s Shadow Blog. This is an author I’ve considered a champion of women and self empowerment. She’s written two of the most twisted bizarre sexist posts against Sarah Palin I’ve ever read. It’s pure projection. She’s describing Barack Obama but labeling Palin a “seductress” implying she is the “shadow”, “Eve in the Garden”. Wow! One of the weirdests things I’ve read during this campaign and from an author I’ve respected. Shaking my head.
http://www.debbieford.com/index.php?p=Resources&a=ShadowBlog11
Here’s an excerpt:
*****************************
In Why Good People Do Bad Things, I suggest that those who don the mask of The Seductress are after one thing and one thing only: to make themselves feel better about who they are by getting whatever they might be after. Birthed out of the fear that they are not good enough, loved enough, or smart enough, they search until they find suitable targets to trap in their energetic webs — in the case of Sarah Palin, first the citizens of the great state of Alaska and now the entire country.
I consider The Seductress a predator because her main goal is to feed on the self-esteem of others in order to soothe her own emotional wounds. The Seductress literally throws out an energetic hook by being kind, loving, interested, sexual and, in this case, folksy — luring her victims closer, all the while planning her next move. She spends her time thinking about how she looks, how others will perceive her, how she can win, and how she can get more of what she’s after. The Seductress’ “catch” enhances her inner perception of herself and covers, at least for the moment, the enormous pain and self-loathing that are stored in her psyche.

Lou Dobbs on his radio show talking about the LA Times withholding the video and he does not agree with their decision. He says it’s ‘bizarre’ and they are not serving the public’s right to know. He points out that the paper has endorsed Obama. At the very least they should release a transcript of the video. He says will never recover from their liberal bias during this election.

The other Debbie Ford quote. They have to help us you see, bring us the light, because we are like cooking frogs. We don’t know any better. Pahleeze. I’m shocked at how this illogical, projective nonsense has taken hold in certain parts of our society. I thought I was a pretty hip, enlightened chick, but suddenly I don’t relate to these people at all.
http://www.debbieford.com/index.php?p=Contact
**********************************************
Today we are charged with bringing light to those who believe John McCain and Sarah Palin will be any different than George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. We must assume that they only believe this because they are suffering from Battered Nation Syndrome. We have to help them see that they are being slowly cooked, like the frog in the pot of cold water over an open flame who stays there even as the water gets hotter and hotter until he boils to death because he doesn’t realize what is happening. He, like so many Americans, doesn’t even know that he is in dangerous territory and his life is going to end.

I just went for poll worker training in Florida. Campaigners have to stay 100 ft back from the Voting Entrance, unless they have some special agreement. But they they should have a designated area. There should be a deputy there on duty that you can ask if you have any problems.
Pookie 10.30.08 at 4:17 pm
A paragraph from Glenn Beck’s show
Matthews expresses his love
Chris Matthews analysis of Obama’s 30 minute infomercial looked more like a post orgasmic rant than a professional political commentary—talking about the ‘romance’ of it all. Why would Obama bother spending any money running ads on MSNBC? Obama’s own commercial was less glowing than MSNBC’s regular programming.
BillieJo 10.30.08 at 4:18 pm
PUMAs are the perfect storm no one was expecting….
(were we promoted from sockpuppets to the Perfect Storm?)
Drudge….
WASHINGTON — John McCain still could win.
It would take what one analyst calls a “perfect storm” of events breaking his way in the campaign’s final days, but he could come from behind, overtake Barack Obama and pull off the greatest upset in 60 years.
He’d have to squeeze out more support from independents, score higher with his “Joe the Plumber” warning about Obama’s tax and economic polices, and hope that enough undecided voters swing his way to help him sweep almost all the states that now are considered tossups.
Difficult? Yes. Impossible? No.
…… more.

I agree with you. I know something about Khalidi from working with a non-profit group in Birmingham. There was a big stink about whether the guy could come and speak at an event. The Jewish people in our group were horrified about Khalidi coming. Many who were not Jews were ignorant or oblivious. Some wanted to “forgive” him for his past association and just let him talk so all views would be represented. One of my friends made the wonderful point that some views do not deserve representation – a murderous view, a view towards genocide. We don’t have to let that view be a part of an event to be “apolitical.”
Anyway, for me it is part of the point. Khalidi’s history and Obama’s unquestioned acceptance of it are disturbing to me and once again reflect poorly on Obama’s judgment.

#159 Yep, electioneering within 50 feet of the polls is illegal. Here in Indiana they have a big garbage can at the door where you are supposed to deposit all campaign materials you accumulated in the short walk from your car to the 50 foot campaign free zone. Also at that point, they are supposed to make you turn off your cell phone, put away any cameras, turn any campaign t-shirts wrong-side out (or cover with a jacket), etc.

We’re protesting the LA Times because of their abdication of responsibility and their arrogance in trying to “guide” the electorate.

dragonfly, you wrote “Anyway, for me it is part of the point. Khalidi’s history and Obama’s unquestioned acceptance of it are disturbing to me and once again reflect poorly on Obama’s judgment.”
EXACTLY. That’s why what the LA Times is doing is so WRONG.
Perhaps, someone else watching the tape would react differently from you and say, Yay Obama! I love Khalidi too!
But that’s the frickin point of a free press. The reporters and the editors are supposed to REPORT the news and make the information they have access to (through their contacts and with their HUGE advertising-funded budgets) available to us — the little people. The ones who ARENT invited to fancy dinners.

Here is another warning from a very knowledgeable person from the Hollywood
sector that is not a preaching Democrat. His words are spooky. Grim
predictions………..
The writer of this essay is Jerry Molen, an Academy Award-winning Hollywood
Producer, who produced Jurassic Park ,Hook, Rain Man and many more classic
movies, and who won the Academy Award for Schindler’s List. Jerry is one of
the very few conservatives in Hollywood – but wants to include Democrats. He says:
We are about to make the Mother-of-All-Mistakes, because the Republican Party
gave us no reliable alternative. If the conservative movement does not rally
behind the only alternative left to us, this country will become a true
Socialist State within the next two Presidential terms.
Ladies and Gentleman, this is the most grave situation this nation has faced
in my lifetime. We just experienced an overhyped, outrageous primary election
season that has left me wondering where the heads of our citizens are hiding.
Must be someplace where the sun doesn’t go very often.
At one time in my life I was a determined, dedicated and ever-loyal registered
Democrat. Then something happened – Lyndon Baines Johnson – that turned my life
around and gave me pause for the veracity of a party that lives and feeds off of
the most unfortunate among us.
Some of them are in their positions in life by their own choosing, others by
outside circumstance. But always, always there was a door open to them, to
reach for new heights, achieve new goals, change their lives for the better.
Similarly, there have always been the bottom feeders, doing what they could to
take advantage of those who had not or have not seen better days, nor realized
that they in fact were the masters of their own destiny – these unfortunates had
come to believe that they were dependent on people in Washington, who would look
out for and take care of them. They waited, and still wait, for all those
promised freebies.
Most people don’t reflect upon the fact that the Democrats ruled Washington
for over 40 years; it wasn’t
until 1994 when the so-called Gingrich Revolution changed – but only for a
while. These same people do not realize that it was the Democrats who created
the failed policies of the entitlement programs that are now falling apart
before our eyes.
Do not think I find the Republicans blameless in all this. They, too, suffer
from the ego and greed built into our system. In the past few months I have
listened, with growing horror, to the railings of the Democrat left, calling for
yet more giveaways, more promises of a proverbial ‘free lunch.’
What sums up my feelings, why I am appalled by those in political power is
contained within a quote by
basketball legend and talk show host Charles Barkley: “Poor people have been
voting for Democrats for the last fifty years…. and they are still poor!”
Now, with our elections, come yet more new promises of “change:” “change we
can believe in,”
“hope for the future”. But if you really, I mean REALLY listen to what the
new “messiah” is asking for, it is NOT ‘change of policy’, or ‘change for the
better’ – this is a warning that he wants our change.
And the change you will get will not be the cha nge you expected or wanted!
I leave you my predictions of what will happen if the junior Senator from
Illinois becomes President – especially If the House and Senate are veto-proof
Democrat:
1). Strict gun laws, though he promised he would not.
2). “In God We Trust” will be removed from all currency.
3). He will renege on his pledge to Israel and leave them to the wolves of
Islam.
4) Hillary Clinton will be named to the Supreme Court.
5). Tax rates will surge to the highest levels in 30 years.
6). Capital gains tax will be at least double current levels.
7). Retired Army General Wesley Clark will be named Secretary of Defense.
8). Your borders will be open to all comers – especially from the Middle East
and South America .
9). Amnesty will be granted to all illegals in the U. S, regardless of status
or even gang membership (think MS-13).
10). Our presence in Iraq will come to an abrupt end – with tragic results for
their citizens and devastating consequences to our military.
My predictions will not sit well with some people – the best we could hope for
is that I am wrong.
Any bets?

This is a link to Khalidi’s site. Check out the books he has authored. He is in favor of a Palestinian state, which in theory to someone who does not know much about the Middle East sounds like a way to respect a culture. But when you look into his connections with terrorist groups, it becomes a shady situation. Here he is, in academia, giving legitimacy to himself, and encouraging people to contribute to his pet projects all with the appearance of education, but what if the money has gone to terrorist groups? I haven’t found all the links yet, but this is the concern my friend raised in Bham. She believed that Khalidi had funneled some money to groups that had committed terrorist acts against Israelis. If I find the evidence for that, I will post, but for now must go to pick up my son.

From National Review Online
From journalist Tom Gross
Thursday, October 30, 2008, 08.53 AM
Within the last hour, the first exit poll of 817 Americans in Israel, who attended U.S. election voting events in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv on Tuesdayevening to vote by absentee ballot, has been released. A startling 76 percent of those polled said that they had voted for John McCain. This contrasts sharply with pre-election polls of American Jews in the U.S., which indicate a strong preference for Obama. The exit poll findings of American voters in Israel are all the more surprising because less than one in four were registered Republicans, and 46% of registered Democrats living in Israel said they had crossed party lines to vote McCain. By contrast, the Republican crossover to Obama wasminimal – just 2%. The votes are significant as almost half of the 42,000 registered U.S.voters living in Israel come from key swing states including Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. In the 2000 and 2004 elections, Israel had the third-largest group of American voters abroad, after Canada and Britain.
The exit poll was commissioned by Votefromisrael.org, an independent,non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting voter registration and participation amongst American citizens living in Israel.

The short answer is that his filing is too confused and weak to succeed, I think. He mashes and conflates blog and internet postings with evidence and legal assertions etc., and makes unproven statements the basis for his demand.
When the judge rules, he’ll probably just toss the suit on the grounds of incurable confusion. Too bad.
(Remember, what you are reading on that site is the CLAIMS and PROPOSED ruling from the claimant. The judge hasn’t said word one, yet.)

I went in…did not wait in line and said outloud in front of everyone while looking at four polls people ..what was out there and that those need to be removed now. They did….

What a great job they are doing of protecting their source–
They acknowledged they have the tape in the first place, and then they wrote an article about it. This isn’t about confidential sources- this is all about supporting Nobama.

FROM BOOKWORM ROOM:
contacting the editors at the LA Times to get them to release the video showing Obama cheerfully consorting with radical Islamists is pointless. They don’t care what you and I think. However, as he said, the advertisers and owners do (or, at least, should) care.
With that in mind, here is a list of contact information for some of the advertisers in the LA Times.* Please be civil. We don’t want to look bad. Our goal is to make the LA Times look like a failed journalistic institution that will inevitably be abandoned by thoughtful, informed (and polite) readers.
City National Bank — a commenter says that City National states that it has no ads running in the LA Times, although I found this contact page by clicking through their ad in the Times. To keep civility alive, I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Cars.com, and here is some executive contact info
Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (sadly, I could only find multiple phone numbers, not an email form)
Estrella (again, only a phone number — 1.877.386.6100)
ING Direct or, better yet: ombudsman@ingdirect.com
CapitalOne (pick a department, any department, because it’s impossible to find a contact for corporate headquarters — although I’m still looking)
Windemere (again, another phone number site: 925.556.6000).
CIT (lots of phone numbers). This is the corporate fact sheet for CIT Group, which may be the umbrella organization, but I don’t guarantee that.
Air France. Here’s the corporate fact sheet, with executive email addresses, so I hope your French is up to snuff.
Kaiser Permanente (good luck figuring this one out and, since it’s a medical care provider as well as a business, you may want to approach this with caution, so that you don’t tie up resources dedicated to patient care). Here’s the umbrella Kaiser organization corporate fact sheet, with executive email addresses.
Verizon. This is probably the umbrella corporation, and there are executive contact emails here.
British Petroleum (which had a very nice website when it came to figuring out how to contact the company). Here are some executive emails too.
Levi.com (not a great contact form, since it’s geared to purchasers, not members of the public). Got it! Here’s the corporate headquarters fact sheet, with executive email addresses.
Weight Watchers (no email, but telephone contact info). Here’s the corporate fact sheet, with executive email addresses.
Netflix (again, phone numbers, since the website is geared towards advertisers, customers and the media). Here’s the corporate fact sheet, with executive email addresses.
GMC. Here’s general GM contact information (including executive emails)
Lexus (a nice contact page)
The Venetian Hotel in Vegas
Bank of America. Here’s the corporate fact sheet, with executive email addresses.
Treasure Island Hotel in Vegas
Go Hawaii (the State’s official tourism site)
Citibank (a miserable website for finding useful contact information for our purposes, but they promise at this link that “No matter what you need help with, no matter where you are, you can always reach us.” I took them at their word when I provided this link.) This is probably the correct corporate fact sheet, but there are so many “Citi” entities, I really don’t guarantee it.
Loma Linda University Medical Center
UC Berkeley Haas Business School/Columbia Business School — although I suspect that, given their known campus politics, both schools may be on board with the Times’ approach to “reporting”.
American Express customer service (and corporate info)
Southern California Chevy Dealers — who don’t have a direct contact, so here’s general GM contact information (including executive emails)
Cabo San Lucas Luxury Real Estate (snail mail and phone contact only)
Time Warner Cable — corporate fact sheet with executive email addresses
Virgin Mobile USA — corporate fact sheet with executive email addresses
Solar City
Medifast
La Quinta Inns and Suites
Also, you may want to contact the LA Times’ parent organization:
Tribune Company and some executive contact info too.
The principle involved here is an important one. Americans, who have the great blessing to live in a free state with free speech, are entitled to support radical Palestinians and fellow-travelers, so long as they’re not active terrorists. However, it would seem to me, naïve though I am, that Americans also have a right to know that their Presidential candidate is consorting with radical Palestinians and fellow-travelers. Despite (or, one could say, because of) the fact that it might not reflect well on Obama in the minds of many Americans, it is news.
Here’s the letter I’m currently sending out. Any suggestions for or improvements to this letter are welcome:
I noticed that your company advertises in the LA Times. The LA Times has admitted that it is withholding from the public a newsworthy video of Barack Obama consorting with known terrorists as well as representatives of the American Muslim community who have expressed violent hostility to Jews and to Israel. This is media malfeasance of the highest order.
Until the LA Times begins to practice journalism and not partisan politics, I will refrain from reading it, and I will refrain from doing business with companies that advertise in it.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
By the way, for those who may fear that the tape’s existence is a myth, it’s not. In April 2008, the LA Times was already writing glowing words about the get-together, and boasting about the tape’s existence: “The event was videotaped, and a copy of the tape was obtained by The Times.”
UPDATE: Welcome, Little Green Football readers.
________________________________
*You’ll notice a certain haphazard quality in the contact info: some links are for generic contact forms, some are for the corporation’s fact sheet, and some are for both. The problem is that it’s not always easy to figure out by following an advertising link which umbrella corporation actually matches up with the website I’m viewing (as, for example, with Capitol One or ING Direct). In those cases, it’s easier and safer to use the linked website’s own contact form. My goal has been to give you as much information as possible, without inadvertently deluging with email an entity that has a name similar to that of an LA Times advertiser.

RE to nonrelease and source:
Are we then to conclude that the tape is so inflammatory regarding the relationship of Obama and Khaludi that to reveal it would be in fact to confirm ONCE AGAIN, for certainly this is not the first time re his relations with the, anarchial Muslim tyrants who wish to wipe the world clean of anything other than their evil , yes, evil, perversion of religion and a God, what so many have said and shown by his relations he is: A radical collaborator with radical Muslims in the least, and a literal front man for them and others in the most….I concluded both a long time ago…FRAUD..HYPOCRITE..Barack Obama.

We’re going to see McCain this Saturday in VA. I want to see Palin as well, but might not be able to get to it. Two rallies in one day may be too much, and it is a longer drive to Palin’s event.
I accidentally got a glimpse of Obambi at a Florida rally today. He looks very angry. All he does is whine that McCain is attacking him. I couldn’t stand to watch more than 15 seconds. Have you noticed that he’s doing late rallies? He gets more TV coverage then on CNN, MSNBC, and CSPAN of his rally. As if he hasn’t had enough TV coverage.

I don’t see it that way. I see it this way…
-There is a tape, ‘Person A” gives it to the LA Times so they will report on something on the tape. (Why do they want anything reported on at all if they don’t want to be identified…doesn’t make sense.)
-LA Times cherry picks the materials and puts on what they want in text, mentioning they have the tape. (If they don’t want to be asked to show the tape, why mention they even have it?)
—If ‘Person A’ didn’t want LA Times to tell who they are, then they wouldn’t trust the LA Times to have the tape in the first place. (Do they know that someone at the LA Times would be willing to go to jail to keep from divulging their sources?)
NewOrleansPuma 10.30.08 at 5:47 pm
#275MiddleageFemale: More BS….If that were the case, even more reason to reveal the tape…BS…All saying this are missing the point…It is standard practice and acceptable to release news information while refusing to reveal sources..Thus, the move would and should be in the tradition of a FREE Press and not a Propaganist sheet to release the tape and keep the source confidential. That is not what is being done….! They refuse to release the tape while blowing the smoke about the source who can in fact be kept confidential. The Hillary move on the story is an attempt to make former Hillary supporters somehow feel protective of Hillary Clinton. I stopped doing that the day she supported Barack Obama. She is a very big girl in a very big powerful sea of crap right now…She needs no protection.

Hello PUMA’s! I’m home, but a bit “worse for the wear”. I’m tired (of course) from the aneasthesia and the surgery. I have my nose totally pugged up and a “drip pad” taped underneath is (makes me wonder if this would be good for those wo had terrible colds and would like to hang a pail under thair noses). I have to keep changing the drip pad because the plug inside my nose is already full and the drip pad keeps filling up with blood etc. My nose doesn’t hurt, but my throat sure does! It’s bad enough that I have to breathe through my mouth, but my throat is like raw hamburger from sticking the tube down it. I’m supposed to take out the plug in my nose tomorrow afternoon.
One comment about the BO signs. I’ve heard that people have to pay for them, and that is the excuse I’m hearing as to why they don’t have them in front. Obama has them pay for EVERYTHING- even signs… and is even charging the media a huge amount to put up equipment in his “coronoation” set for tuesday. Makes you wonder why, doesn’t it? I mean the election would then be OVER right?

Hi Pumas -
My Florida friend just sent me this cute poem via email:
‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
‘On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi’
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
LOL

Dear Universal Studios:
Congratulations on the October 31, 2008 release of your new film “The Changeling”. I have been looking forward to seeing the film, based on the true story of the LAPD’s cover-up of a missing child.
Your advertising with the LA Times has changed all of that. I will be protesting your new film, due to the LA Times refusal to release the
Obama/Khalida.
I, along with thousand of others will be spreading the word throughout the internet to boycott your film.
You see, Universal, we are living through a political nightmare not unlike your film, the Changeling. For the past year, we, American Citizens, have had a front-row seat to political party and media cover-ups about the candidate, Barack Obama. This cover-up has included, among other things, voter fraud, illegal campaign fund-raising, information about his radical, extremist affiliations, and failure to fully disclose his qualifications for political office.
This fraud upon the American People would not have been be possible without the help of media organizations such as the LA Times, suppressing information detrimental to the candidate, most recently and importantly the videotape of Obama’s praise of Rashid Khalidi.
Very truly yours,
XXXXXXXX

Dear Universal Studios:
Congratulations on the October 31, 2008 release of your new film “The Changeling”. I have been looking forward to seeing the film, based on the true story of the LAPD’s cover-up of a missing child.
Your advertising with the LA Times has changed all of that. I will be protesting your new film, due to the LA Times refusal to release the
Obama/Khalida videotape.
Very truly yours,
XXXXXXXX

Does anyone have the picture of the owner of the LA Times?
Post it and say this man is hiding the truth about Obama and circulate all over the net..

Hi everyone,
I have been so pissed since a I saw the interview on Neil Cavuto the other day. He had Martha Stewart on and she is backing Obama and said to all the people that are going to get hit by his tax increase that they should “SUCK IT IN”. Well I just emailed her and Neil Cavuto that I will be taking her advice and I will be putting every extra penny in my savings acct. I will be “SUCKING IT IN”. I will not be buying any of her magazines, books, lamps, furniture, food, flowers, bedding or any of the other crap she’s hocking. I also told her that she should tell all the employees she will be laying off (due to slow sales)to “SUCK IT IN”. I also told her I would be giving her advice to my friends, family, co-workers and neighbors. I then thanked her for the advice and then gave her some of my own advise. “SUCK ON THIS MARTHA”. You can email Neil Cavuto at Cavuto@foxnews.com and Martha at television@marthastewart.com

A big howdy to all of you PUMAs out there! Have been crazy busy here lately, but have caught up on the goings-on in the evenings.
1) LA Times prowl done. HUGE congrats to all of the PUMAs in front of the LA Times. Wow!
2) Voted. Must now go pick up my father’s ballot. Put two more down for McPalin in Montana.
3) Montana as a swing state my arse! I’m volunteering with the RNC to do calling, so we’ll see if we can swing it back to a Red state.
A thought: It might be a good idea to take a camera or mobile phone with camera to vote to get a picture or video of the Obots in action handing stuff out. Especially in the swing states…and heck, EVERYWHERE. If he tries to steal the election, or if there’s any question, it’d be good to have all the proof possible to demonstrate illegal activity on the part of his supporters.

Hey, I have to let you guys and gals know this. I know a lot of moderate Republicans and they are glad to have PUMA around. Not just because you aren’t supporting Obama but because you do things a little differently. The fact that you are still registered Democrats (most of you) brings an extra flare to the discussion. It’s great. I was watching the L.A. Times protest and it was mostly PUMA Democrats out there. It was great. Democrats are quick to protest on things that they feel are unfair and Republicans aren’t. So, all of you are helping the Republicans find their backbone again by bringing a little of that Democrat Rebelliousness.
Keep it up!

LA Times PUMA Update
Goofsdad reports that they still have approx. 80 to 100 people out there protesting.
FreddieBrown is there with her hubby and Fred. They have Fred in a little cart. Goofsdad says it’s really cute to see them pushing Fred around.
It was a quick update call and I wasn’t able to ask if FOX ever made it. Very noisy with the protesters chanting…
All goes well and no incidents so far…

BillieJo are you in the police department?? Hmmmmmmm, I see what you’re saying also………so do you think this is all a lie to make FOX and everyone else to look stupid? Another nibble at nothing?
So is this a cover-up for something bigger and more explosive sitting in the wings? Something to keep us busy??
Love your scenario also!

Police, Bwahahahaha……no way.

That was nice to hear, that we at least are giving the Repubs courage to stand up. We are a wild group, that’s for sure…yet, mostly get along pretty well for having so many Alpha females

BillieJo, Republicans are delighted to have PUMAs around. I know from Republicans that I’ve talked to that they have a huge amount of respect for all of the PUMAs on this site. I remember it was a PUMA lady who said that she has been embraced with open arms. Who would have ever thought that Democrats would be protesting WITH Republicans instead of against them? Lol. This election has made strange bedfellows and I, for one, think that it’s great. It gives the party diversity and it gives PUMAs diversity. We can finally listen to one another because we got rid of the partisans on both sides. There’ll still be arguments over social issues and taxes and other stuff, but I believe that Republicans and PUMA Democrats have one thing for each other that wasn’t there before, respect. And that’s a good thing.
nicfit 10.30.08 at 7:10 pm
I’d like to second pumasupporter.
As a “radical moderate republican” for years past (as evidencd by my rather wingnutty idea to continually paint messages all over my van– not something you see your average repub do), I have generally found myself out in the cold regarding enthusiasm and willingness to make social protests.
I think pumas are going to make a world of difference in their activism, and it is so encouraging to find like-minded people (since I had that problem within my party and certainly have never been welcome in the other party!). I can’t tell you how much it means to find people who are sensible, moderate and believe in truth and justice. It has been like coming home finding this website.
I only wish I could register as a “Puma” next election cycle! In any case, I will be changing from “R” to “I” since there is no “P” available. Right now I feel like there isn’t a party big enough to hold us! We rock!
Also, dropped off two more votes for McPalin in CO today. (Mine and the old man’s). NOBAMA!

I too am suspicious of the LA Times/tape issue. How did the fact that they have such a tape come up now, just at this time???Who benefits from having all of this energy spent chasing what could be nothing. If the tape is really held by the LAT, it could be editing to death bhy now anyway.
AniEm 10.30.08 at 7:27 pm
Just wanted to say how much I appreciate and admire those who protested at LA Times, as well as those citizens who protested in West Hollywood over that awful Palin effigy.
Despite all the nastiness of this election, I am grateful for PUMAs and all the good people out there.

Americans in Israel voting big for McCain
Early election results of Americans living in Israel show a big advantage for John McCain. I don’t expect these numbers, courtesy of DK, to hold for American Jews living at home—the latest poll gave Obama 74 percent of those voters and many Israel-firsters were already voting for McCain. But exit poll data is thus far surprising:
A startling 76 percent of those polled said that they had voted for John McCain. This contrasts sharply with pre-election polls of American Jews in the U.S., which indicate a strong preference for Obama.
The exit poll findings of American voters in Israel are all the more surprising because less than one in four were registered Republicans, and 46% of registered Democrats living in Israel said they had crossed party lines to vote McCain. By contrast, the Republican crossover to Obama was minimal – just 2%.
The votes are significant as almost half of the 42,000 registered U.S. voters living in Israel come from key swing states including Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania

then we’ll be rid of them, and can go back to fighting their disasterous policies.
I am in favor of a little more love. Maybe we should try to get along and work across the isle and get something done for the good of the country. Party against Party is like the super bowl. People want to win at any cost even to give up their country. Remember what George Washington said in his farewell address about the party system being not good for the country and leading to foreign takeover of the country. Imagine that. He saw O boo boo coming as a result of our 2 party system getting too confrontational. We must learn to work together and without party lines or we will be taken over by foreign country.

Great work on the site today. My report:
Saw another “Another Democrat for McCain” sign in the neighborhood and put up a M/P yardsign I got from friends.
Did the LATimes prowl.
Placed flyers in office building elevators and lounge and on cars in business park.
Hope PA can pull through! PRAY!

DanceswithPumas … I feel you! I be standing in the unemployment line with you! I am an oustide sales rep, so I make my own hours/schedule, but I have barely done anything work-related in two weeks or better! I know that time is running out and I must do what I can to keep Obama out of the white house.
SouthernGAL68 10.31.08 at 12:41 am
I heard today, on FOX (it is the only news station I watch) that Obama has the majority of the American Jewish vote. How can this be? Someone, please tell me how Jewish Americans could posssibly vote for Obama knowing that he has a numerous anti-Israel affiliations. Please explain!
SouthernGAL68 10.31.08 at 12:52 am
*** Niefit (I would like to third that!)
I like the way you decribed yourself as a “Radical Moderate Republican”. I, am registered as a Republican, but I was voting for Hillary in 08. (I voted for Bill C. many years ago.) I feel the same as you and could not have said it any better! This is a great group of people (working hard to do the right thing for this country) and I would register as a PUMA if I could as well.
