Obama Will Lose PA, Just Like He Did April 22, 2008

by murphy on October 28, 2008

in N.O.T. for Obama 08, Puma PAC, The Audacity of Democracy

UPDATE: New feature added to our blog — the Puma PAC Daily Poll. Please vote in the left sidebar.

I’m more convinced than ever. Between the race card, the sneering attitude of the media class, and the basic reflex of every American citizen to REJECT a canididate who does not represent their interests Obama will lose Pennsylvania next Tuesday. Maybe even by a wide margin. Americans aren’t stupid — Democrats aren’t stupid and neither are Republicans. There is NOTHING wrong with Kansas. This is a LIE. A lie perpetrated by the elite and esoteric theorists of the punditocracy because it is an effective goad to keep us fighting EACH OTHER rather than focusing our efforts on holding the Powers that Be accountable.

A tectonic shift in the attitude of the electorate, a great re-alignment, is underway. Don’t look to the TV for news of this shift. They won’t be talking about it until next Thursday, earliest. By Januray or February someone like Brooks or Frank will write a book titled “The Great Re-Alignment,” or some such, but we don’t need a pundit to know which way the wind is blowing.

Americans, especially Democrats, are waking up. Not, like Gregor Samsa, as Republicans (of course not!) but as unaffiliated American citizens. People who have realized that the Parties are entrenched, out of touch, and CLUELESS. Corrupt even. And did I mention spineless, self-serving, greedy, and second-rate?

We are the real Democratic Party. A few maniacs may have burned our house down, but we’re all together out here on the street, watching and waiting until we can put the fire out for good on Novemeber 4th. And then we’ll start digging a new foundation.

(Why I believe obama will lose Pennsylvania. From Hillbuzz:

In Pennsylvania, we are not alone.

The same people who ran the board for us in the primary — who assured us daily that the polls the media was pushing were wrong in claiming Obama would beat Clinton in PA — tell us on a daily basis that McCain is going to win Pennsylvania.  There’s a damn good chance this won’t even be close, if what people are seeing on the ground right now holds, and is indicative of the whole state.

DEMOCRATS are staffing McCain offices across the state. DEMOCRATS are phone banking and canvassing for McCain. DEMOCRATS are raising large sums to fund this last week of campaigning.

DEMOCRATS.

This has NEVER happened before — and the media is ignoring it.”

A-yup.

I’ve added a Contribute button to the sidebar on the right. Please send what you can, if you can. And thank you — because we really are a bunch of scruffy, regular people — not a Republican front, not receiving ANY support from ANY outside groups or candidates or rich people.

KarenWI – I hope things go smoothly for you every day so surgery goes well. For stress relief, we use what is called a cuppa. It’s a habit we picked up here. Just get a crockery tea pot, boil water and steep tea for 5 minutes. Drink out of bone china cups and saucers. It is amazing at how much this can relax you. Just filled out my ballot and am boiling water now. Basically because I’m boiling mad from reading news sites. McCain has one more vote but it sure wasn’t easy.

“Something VERY GOOD comes to us Pumas from unexpected sources regarding the 2008 election…..free and clear.”

Brought up from downstairs;

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six the economy was fine.
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high–14,000 +
5) American’s were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!…

But American’s wanted ‘CHANGE’! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes–we got ‘CHANGE’ all right. In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION
DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~
$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT
PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE…AND WE SURE GOT IT! …

REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.

AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Hi Shane,

Seeing your last post (downstairs), I just noticed why your links to the posts are not working. You’re adding a character in the URL that should not be there. Right after the word “comment” it should be a # and not a *.
Anyway, try actually copying either of the two links below… They are the links to both of your posts and should work. Save them somewhere and paste either one when you want to post a link to your piece on BO.

Below is the link that you put in your post… note the different character yours has before the word “comment” (as opposed to the links above). That little difference is what’s making it not work!

TURN OFF OBAMA-TV on October 29th
Please help to spread the word. I have posted the message below on as many blogs and websites as I could identify in the past week.
since a repost here, I’ve edited out my list of alternate suggested activities one can do during the infomercial).

Repost from Oct 22, 2008

For the record:
I am a PUMA in northern VA
I am a Black woman
I am a registered democrat
I am one of the voters who supported Hillary Clinton in the primary

AND I am not voting for Obama-Biden.

I am so tired of hearing about Obama spending big bucks to run his infomercial on October 29th by trying to blanket mainstream television airways.

I think we need to begin to promote a “Turn off Obama-TV” on October 29th. I say – Do NOT Listen to or Watch Obama’s 30 minute commercial on October 29, 2008. Obama thinks he can MAKE us listen to what he has to say by spending all that money in order to have his commercial on several networks at the same time. We do NOT have to listen. We do NOT have to support this gimmick.

Let’s all participate in: “Turn Off Obama-TV” that night. On October 29th for that specific 30 minutes: Push mute – Turn down the sound – Change the channel – or Turn off the television. Do not listen to any more of Obama’s hot air, false promises or his lies about McCain-Palin.

INSTEAD for that 30 minutes do something else with your brain cells.

Between now and Oct 29th – Let others know that you are choosing NOT to listen to & to NOT watch Obama’s commercial. And encourage others to join in a national response to this media effort.

Please join me by choosing to turn away from Obama’s efforts to control the outcome of this election by spending so much money on a one night media blitz.

Tell all your family & friends to “Turn Off Obama-TV” on Oct. 29th!!

Good Morning PUMAs!!!

Murphy, that was great! You are spot on!

As I posted yesterday, I was in South Philly over the weekend. I know those people and in South Jersey, too. (They’re South Philly transplants). They are NOT going to vote for Obama. They were Hillary supporters and they are voting for McCain.

South Philly people are street-wise, you don’t mess with them. They saw right thru Obama in the Primaries. Philly is about 60-70% black, but there are blacks and whites there who just won’t support Obama. Even the Mayor who is black supported Hillary. Now he HAS to support Obama because he is a Democrat and wants to be re-elected to another term. But they know Obama is a Fraud.

Kudos to the two news anchors on the local CBS station in Philly, who questioned Biden about Obama’s Marxist theory of Re-distribution of Wealth.

It takes some brave local stations to ask the tough questions.

I think the PUMAs are going to determine this election. McKain is going to win and the Dems will blame the Bradley effect. But we know the truth. We will not vote for an inexperienced, thin suit with controversial ties, a socialist agenda, who intimidates those who practice Freedom of Speech , tells his followers to get in our faces, twists the truth, tells half-truths, tells un-truths, with bald-faced denials of the facts, and is buying votes thru ACORN and their affiliates.

That song “We Are The Champions” keeps going thru my head. We’ll keep on fighting till the end.

To paraphrase Murphy “We are the ones no one was expecting.”

heard on FOX this AM that Linda Bloodworth Thompson, a director in Tinkeltown—Hollywood has slammed MSNBC for their treatement of Sarah Palin— Linda said she would rather sit down with Sean Hannity instead of Keith Olberbutt. Also Tom Ridge–R- PA was on there speaking about Obie and his Palestine associations but LA Times will not release the tape of him praising Kahlil–hope I spelled that correctly. Who is Barak Obama–what really is his agenda?

You know I was thinking if everyone wouldn’t mind watch pushing daisies don’t know much about the tv show but turn it on mute and leave it on while BO is on the other channels and we can all just talk on here. Pushing Daisies is on the one channel that BO didn’t want to run his 30 minute ad. Here is a link to it http://abc.go.com/primetime/pushingdaisies/index?pn=about I think it would be great if we all gave them a boost in there ratings the nite BO was speaking for 30 minute.

Rabblerouser 10.28.08 at 9:27 am

Good Morning, PUMAs. I’ve been quite discouraged after reading that BO Timeline someone posted, because it really drove home how corrupt and above the law BO seems to be. It also made me realize that indeed he has a hidden agenda for America, that he lets shine through whenever he makes blunders like he did with Joe the Plumber.

However, I was heartened yesterday. On my drive home, which takes me up the along the Connecticut River which separates VT and NH, I saw an inordinate amount of McCain/Palin signs. This was somethng to note, because Howard Dean who was once the governor here in VT almost singlehandedly turned VT very left (some here call it the welfare state). I’m sure it will still go for BO, but the fact that there were so many McCain/Palin signs makes me think that the message is getting out to the general public despite BO’s control of the media.

Likewise, on a recent drive from Keene, NH to Claremont, NH I noticed the same thing – lots of McCain/Palin signs in a state I surely thought was definitely democratic. So perhaps, despite the MSM’s propaganda, the tide might be turning.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, PUMA NATION!

Wow, Murphy, your last few threads have been very powerful. I have directed a number of people to the site over the last week and have been receiving very positive feedback. Thanks for making us all look good, Murphy.

Based on last nights’, “Holy Smokes”, I composed this Morning Media Blast to Megyn Kelly (cc’d to the last few objective members of the media).

Dear Megyn,

I am a member of http://www.pumapac.org and a video clip of your recent interview with Barack Obama’s chief spokesperson, Bill Burton, was posted at the website last night under the heading ‘Holy Smokes’ http://pumapac.org/2008/10/27/holy-smokes-6/#comments

The comments about your professionalism, toughness and integrity were all very positive. Your willingness to demand answers to your questions, rather than to accept campaign talking points, was especially appreciated in light of the fawning, ‘leg-tingling’ coverage afforded Obama representatives by the great majority of the media.

Party Unity Means Action was founded by former Hillary Clinton supporters who witnessed firsthand the misogynistic, dismissive and sarcastic tactics of the DNC and the Obama Campaign. The group works tirelessly to get the word out that the Obama Campaign will say and/or do anything in their pursuit of power. There is strong concensus that Obama and the current leadership of the DNC are dangerously WRONG for the Country.

Many members of this dedicated group of concerned citizens, including myself, believe that you deserve a heartfelt ‘Thank You’ for holding a member of the Obama Campaign to account. You held Bill Burton’s tap-dancing feet to the fire and earned the respect of our Puma Nation.

Careful, Megyn! In light of what has happened to Florida WFTV anchor, Barbara West, you may be the next reporter to fall out of The Messiah’s good graces.

LOL!

Grizzly 10.28.08 at 9:29 am

What that Director in Ohio did is a felony. That’s what someone on FOX said.

Well, Obama tried to make an example of Joe to stifle future US citizens from asking him the tough questions. I guess Munoz, West, and those two anchors from Philly didn’t get Obie’s message. Tough apples!!

Well, Ohioans should make an example of the Director, to let other officials know – If you break the law, you’re going to be prosecuted and serve jail-time.

Change is a euphamism for REVOLUTION….

REVOLUTIONS that came out of CHANGE
HITLER
CASTRO
STALIN
CHAVEZ
MAO
ODINGA

All these ran under Change with no explanation of what Change was coming. They all wound up with crushing oppressive Communism and a collapse of the economy with all power to the state and the head honcho.

The Cuban citizen were so taken by Change many died floating on anything to get off the island. Ask a Cuban what Change is all about.

Israel might not exiat in 4 years of Obama gets his way. Any Jewish person who votes for Obama is committing suicide. Any Cuban person who votes for Obama must want to go for another float on the ocean.

Good Morning Puma Nation! Powerful posts for a powerful Pac!
One thing we have got to see is how much we ARE impacting this election. Things are not as they seem. People are listenting to us..WE ARE THE ONES NO ONE EXPECTED!
FYI- My daughter lives in Colorado, she called me last night and said within this last week her neighbors all have McCain/Palin signs in their yards. She took a picture and is going to send it to me! She also told me that in Colorado, you can select either a paper ballot or electronic ballot. She is choosing paper so she can have a paper trail of her vote. She of course is voting McCain/Palin and downticket dems! She says Colorado is closer than they are letting on!
I am at work, but emailing, etc of course, I always do all the actions suggested on the website.

Just to let you know that 3 undecideds who were going to vote for Obama because they so dislike what Bush had done to the country have changed their minds after watching the video clips I sent them. Maybe these videos should be sent to as many voters as you can reach so that – at the very least they stay home (if voting for a Republican will make them sick).

A fraud and hypocrite like BO will never ever become an effective leader. He’ll be too busy repaying his financiers and enablers to attend to his duties as president of a great nation. With doubtful citizenship, he just might do a Fujimori who flew out of Peru to hide in Japan when he was at risk of going to jail for corruption.

The outrage by many at the possible threat to our freedoms as Americans is very real. If by some injustice (voter fraud, illicit fundraising, media mindlessness) Obama does win this election, that outrage will multiply a thousandfold. More than enough needed to continue the fight for justice.

At the end of the book the hero was reeducated. He was to be tortured until he actually accepted as reality 2+2 =5 and then finely to brake all love and ties to others they put a rat cage on his face until he broke and told them to “Do it to her” referring to his love.

The Teflon Obama is a constant lie the media has told until people finely accept that 2+2=5.

GOOD ONE TO POST & PASS ON:
THERE’S JUST TOO MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE NOT LISTENING

NEALZ NUZE ^ | Tuesday, October 28, 2008 | NEAL BOORTZ

This man (that would be Barack Obama) thinks that it is the government’s job to decide who gets how much wealth? Maybe it’s just me, but I sort of had this idea that wealth was earned. You worked hard, you pursued an education, you developed job skills, you made good decisions, you took some chances … and if you held your mouth just right your hard work would lead to wealth! Well that’s just not the way it is done anymore.

Can any of you cite an instance where Barack Obama has touted the benefits of hard work and said that a person is entitled to the fruits of his labors?

If ever there was a wealth envy, class warfare candidate, this would be the one. He actually laments the fact that the Supreme Court hasn’t come down with some ruling for what he calls “economic justice”; a ruling that would let bureaucrats in Washington use the police power of the state to seize wealth from the unfavored and give it to the favored. Well, since the Supreme Court hasn’t done it, it will just have to be up to him.

Come on, folks. Are you really ready for a president who believes that government has the power to tax not in order to raise revenue for its legitimate functions, but to bring about some bureaucratic idea of “fairness” in wealth distribution? Are you really ready for a president who talks in terms of how much of a person’s earnings they actually “need,” and the legitimacy of seizing the remainder?

I suspect that next Tuesday we’re going to find out that you are, in fact, ready for just such a president …. but if you really want some chaos, then ….

Excellent warning and summary of O’s “charismatic demagoguery” at http://tinyurl.com/TheObamaTemptation .

I’ve been thinking this for a while so I might as well air it here. I honestly never thought we’d see such a thing in our country – not yet anyway – but I sense what’s occurring in this election is a recklessness and abandonment of rationality that has preceded the voluntary surrender of liberty and security in other places. I can’t help but observe that even some conservatives are caught in the moment as their attempts at explaining their support for Barack Obama are unpersuasive and even illogical. And the pull appears to be rather strong. Ken Adelman, Doug Kmiec, and others, reach for the usual platitudes in explaining themselves but are utterly incoherent. Even non-conservatives with significant public policy and real world experiences, such as Colin Powell and Charles Fried, find Obama alluring but can’t explain themselves in an intelligent way.

There is a cult-like atmosphere around Barack Obama, which his campaign has carefully and successfully fabricated, which concerns me. The messiah complex. Fainting audience members at rallies. Special Obama flags and an Obama presidential seal. A graphic with the portrayal of the globe and Obama’s name on it, which adorns everything from Obama’s plane to his street literature. Young school children singing songs praising Obama. Teenagers wearing camouflage outfits and marching in military order chanting Obama’s name and the professions he is going to open to them. An Obama world tour, culminating in a speech in Berlin where Obama proclaims we are all citizens of the world. I dare say, this is ominous stuff.

Gives me the shuddering horrors, frankly.

Damn! It never fails to empower. Just the simple act of hitting the remote control and turning the TV off EVERY time NObama open’s his lyin’ yapper is very enjoyable.

Lately, I envision thousands and thousands and thousands of televisions across Puma Nation being shut off as soon as the OBloviator comes on their screens.

Alternative approach: Leave the TV on, but immediately mute the sound and fill in just.words… of your own:

“I am Barack Obama and I am here to raise your taxes…, to serve the Kool-Aid…, to dis the women in my audience…, etc.” You get the picture.

Note to PUMAs who use the “Mute the One” approach — ONOyoudon’t is looking verrrrrrry angry lately as he addresses the sheeples in his audience.

Another money quote from The Obama Temptation:

Unlike past Democrat presidential candidates, Obama is a hardened ideologue. He’s not interested in playing around the edges. He seeks “fundamental change,” i.e., to remake society. And if the Democrats control Congress with super-majorities led by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, he will get much of what he demands.

88

ladyhawkke 10.28.08 at 10:14 am

#81 BrianH Very frightening indeed.

Also, just heard on FOX that the DOJ was not going to send poll waters, attorneys or anything to Ohio. Seems they met with a left wing group regarding voter suppression (HOW ABOUT VOTER FRAUD?) and they are going to do nothing. Seems those attys contributed about $260,000 to Obama and $90,000 to McCain. what is our country coming to, we cannot trust anyone and there is no one to turn to. What in the hell is going on? And Bush hasn’t come out for fear of messing up McCains chances.

I am pleased to see the post regarding PA. I also think McCain has a good chance here.

Last weekend I visited my son for Parents Weekend at his college in western PA. Murtha country. I had to travel about 50 miles of local roads after 5 hours of interstate. I saw about 25-30 yard signs during that drive. Of these, only 3 were for Obama. My favorite was a homemade sign that said “I’m bitter, I own guns, and I vote”.

However my sister wrote to me today a very long, and angry, post saying she cannot understand how I could still be for Mccain. With all the Obot talking points. I will have to try one more time.

128

admin 10.28.08 at 10:53 am

erm, I mean NO. A 2/3’s majority of the congress can “veto-proof” a bill.

from wiki:

“If the President approves of the legislation, he signs it (sign into law). If he does not approve, he must return the bill, unsigned, within ten days, excluding Sundays, to the house of the United States Congress in which it originated, while the Congress is in session. The President is constitutionally required to state his objections to the legislation in writing, and the Congress is constitutionally required to consider them, and to reconsider the legislation. This action, in effect, is a veto.

If the Congress overrides the veto by a two-thirds majority in each house, it becomes law without the President’s signature. Otherwise, the bill fails to become law unless it is presented to the President again and he chooses to sign it.

A bill can also become law without the President’s signature if, after it is presented to him, he simply fails to sign it within the ten days noted. If there are fewer than ten days left in the session before Congress adjourns, and if Congress does so adjourn before the ten days have expired in which the President might sign the bill, then the bill fails to become law. This procedure, when used as a formal device, is called a pocket veto.”

Party Time? I don’t think so…Senator Obama gives Senator McCain a GIANT GIFT!!
by Greta Van Susteren
Are you kidding? telling people to “take the day off” when our economy is in the tank? That’s not a good idea…PRODUCTION is needed! This is not party time, it is work time!!
Yikes! How could Senator Obama make this blunder 7 days before the election?
And what do all the small business people think about this? Can they afford to do this? have their employees take off? That could ruin a small business – if not financially, their good will will be destroyed when their plumbers don’t show up to fix plumbing for a client as promised because their employees “took the day off” ….
And there may be some very unhappy parents paying for college to the tune of $40,000 or more …and the maybe next President is telling their kids to skip class? (or to put it another way “take the day off?”)
If I were Senator Obama, I would pull this ad…FAST!

BO’s camp may “freeze out” a mounting number of news agencies, but we can “freeze out”, too. Step up our AD BOYCOTT, folks. DON’T buy the products advertised on the in-the-tank-for-BO news agencies and LET THEM KNOW!

Everyone, call the companies that advertise on the shamelessly pro BO news shows and tell them NOT ONLY WILL WE NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS, (we’ll buy their competitor’s) WE WILL SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE WE KNOW–IN OUR CHURCHES, OUR NEIGHBORHOODS, OUR GROCERY STORES, OUR SCHOOLS, AND WITH OUR FRIENDS. TELL THEM TO LET THE POOREST 15% OF THE POPULATION SUPPORT THEM!

Believe me, the companies won’t like it . After enough of us call (though they’ll tell you otherwise) THEY WILL CARE. They’ll be scared crapless, and they will scramble. The AMERICAN consumers can STILL keep BO in line, and the people who are in the tank for him by using the SAME process BO has used to get where he is: MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. That’s what it’s all about, folks. Hit ‘em in the green and they WILL care.

BUT DON’T JUST TALK ABOUT IT; DON’T JUST THINK ABOUT IT, DO IT. DO IT NOW. Do it as if your life, your future, and that of your children and grandchildren depended on it.

IT DOES!</b

Obama Would Toss Limbaugh, Hannity From Radio

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 7:46 AM

By: Brad O’Leary Article Font Size

Barack Obama has a stunning lack of tolerance for free speech. And one thing Americans can expect from an Obama administration, and a Democratic-controlled Congress, is a legislative attempt to bring back the so-called Fairness Doctrine, which will limit free speech and diminish the conservative influence on talk radio.

A new ATI-News/Zogby International poll released on Oct. 26 made it clear that those who intend to vote for Obama support re-establishing the Fairness Doctrine.

The poll asked likely voters, “Some members of Congress have discussed reinstating the Fairness Doctrine for broadcasting. The Fairness Doctrine requires radio stations to provide equal air time for opposing viewpoints.

“If reinstated, regulators determine if both sides of an issue are equally presented. There is concern among some broadcasters that this equal presentation could lead to dropping some popular conservative talk shows in an effort to avoid airing less popular liberal talk shows. Knowing this, do you support or oppose reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine?”

Those likely to vote for Obama support reinstating the Fairness Doctrine by a margin of 49 percent to 36 percent, and Democrats support it 47 to 38 percent. Independents marginally support the fairness doctrine 42 percent to 40 percent, though this is within the poll’s margin of error. (The remaining respondents all replied “not sure.”)

Those polled were then asked, “Some say the Fairness Doctrine could result in popular radio shows, such as Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, to be taken off the air in some markets. Knowing this, do you support or oppose reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine?”

When informed that the Fairness Doctrine might take Limbaugh and Hannity off the air, the percentage of Democrat likely voters who support the Fairness Doctrine rose to 53 percent. The percentage of Obama supporters supporting the Doctrine rose four points to 53 percent. However, the percentage of Independents opposed to the Fairness Doctrine rose to 49 percent.

It is clear that Obama supporters and Democratic leaders want to see the Fairness Doctrine invoked. If the poll numbers don’t convince you, current events certainly should.

When Chicago radio station WGN scheduled journalist Stanley Kurtz to talk about Obama’s ties to Ayers, the Obama campaign recruited 100,000 supporters to act in a cult-like manner and besiege the station with protests.

When “Joe the plumber” questioned Obama about his plan to raise taxes on small businesses, Obama supporters sought to destroy Joe and publicly embarrass him by digging through his tax files, work history, and personal life. Was this a warning to average Americans not to ask questions?

Obama forces also tried to hush a national organization that ran TV and radio ads attacking the candidate’s position on an issue. In that instance, Obama’s general counsel fired off a letter threatening the licenses of stations that didn’t pull the ad “for the sake of FCC licensing and the public interest.”

When KDKA (Pittsburgh, Pa.) talk-radio host Kevin Miller gave air-time to guests who were critical of Obama, his producer reprimanded him on the air and read a statement from CBS accusing Miller of unfair bias against Obama. The producer then offered Obama his own three-hour segment to run in place of Miller’s time slot.

After seeing a dip in the polls in September, the Obama campaign dispatched prosecutors and law enforcement officials in Missouri to act as “truth squads” to target anyone who runs ads on TV or radio critical of Obama.

Senior Democrats, including Sens. Bingaman, Clinton, Durbin, Kerry, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi show angry intolerance with their desire to re-introduce the doctrine.

As I was watching Sarah Palin speaking and saw some Obamanuts
raising a ruckus and being escorted out of the area, I thought what she said was kinda cool, “Sometimes when the secret service is escorting them out, I wish they would let them stay so they might be impressed by some of you” and the Mccain is speaking from the very depth of his soul and he knows this will be the worst thing to happen to our country for Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and all that other lib crowd to run things, Lord helps us all.

by the way, not watching Obama’s already taped 30 mins, they will replay a zillion times, you wont be able to get away from it as you flip through the channels, Lord, why have debates if one of them has to buy some extra time, I think this speaks volumes on his ego, and hey God bless the baseball fans that have to wait some extra time to watch the world series, dont you find that a bit selfish, I mean jees…….forget the apple pie!

this has been very difficult.

In the Spring they called us stupid old bitches
In the Summer they called us racist stupid old bitches
In the Fall they called us Republican racist stupid old bitches

And now sometimes I look in the mirror and ask myself, am I a Republican racist stupid old bitch?

And I always answer NO! but

That’s how an onslaught works.

It forces decent, rational people like us to second-guess ourselves and allow ourselves to be undermined, distracted, isolated, and defensive.

And it sucks.

157

hillary2008 10.28.08 at 11:21 am

Great story. My cousin, who is now collecting recyclables was always a republican. He saw Freddies flyers in my kitchen. He said “I can’t believe you are against O, you are a liberal” Then he said he was voting for O, said he would help the working class. By the time he left, he took my McCain bumpersticker from Freddie and put it on his car! He said he would pass out flyers, and thanked me for giving him an earful. He knows I am not a racist so he believed every word.

So yesterday i was walking to the bank when this women asked me very loudly, “Do you support Barack Obama?” To which i just smiled and nodded my head (no)….Then this lady behind me asked, “What did she say? Did she say NO?” And the women replied, “I think so, yeah she said no.”….I was a bit spooked by this and walked into the bank while the lady asking if i said no followed me in there. She just stood there and me not wanting confrontation just held my space and then some guy walked in and started speaking to her….I walked out without a fight. I was ready though. Geesh! I’ve NEVER had that happen before ever!! I then had to pass the women that asked me about OB and i said, “Have a great day!” And she sheepishly smiled and said something i could not hear when my back was turned…

Media’s Presidential Bias and Decline
Columnist Michael Malone Looks at Slanted Election Coverage and the Reasons Why

Snip- page 3
The Presidential Campaign
But nothing, nothing I’ve seen has matched the media bias on display in the current presidential campaign.
Republicans are justifiably foaming at the mouth over the sheer one-sidedness of the press coverage of the two candidates and their running mates. But in the last few days, even Democrats, who have been gloating over the pass — no, make that shameless support — they’ve gotten from the press, are starting to get uncomfortable as they realize that no one wins in the long run when we don’t have a free and fair press.

I was one of the first people in the traditional media to call for the firing of Dan Rather — not because of his phony story, but because he refused to admit his mistake — but, bless him, even Gunga Dan thinks the media is one-sided in this election.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not one of those people who think the media has been too hard on, say, Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin, by rushing reportorial SWAT teams to her home state of Alaska to rifle through her garbage. This is the big leagues, and if she wants to suit up and take the field, then Gov. Palin better be ready to play.
The few instances where I think the press has gone too far — such as the Times reporter talking to prospective first lady Cindy McCain’s daughter’s MySpace friends — can easily be solved with a few newsroom smackdowns and temporary repostings to the Omaha bureau.
No, what I object to (and I think most other Americans do as well) is the lack of equivalent hardball coverage of the other side — or worse, actively serving as attack dogs for the presidential ticket of Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Joe Biden, D-Del.
If the current polls are correct, we are about to elect as president of the United States a man who is essentially a cipher, who has left almost no paper trail, seems to have few friends (that at least will talk) and has entire years missing out of his biography.
That isn’t Sen. Obama’s fault: His job is to put his best face forward. No, it is the traditional media’s fault, for it alone (unlike the alternative media) has had the resources to cover this story properly, and has systematically refused to do so.
Why, for example to quote the lawyer for Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., haven’t we seen an interview with Sen. Obama’s grad school drug dealer — when we know all about Mrs. McCain’s addiction? Are Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko that hard to interview? All those phony voter registrations that hard to scrutinize? And why are Sen. Biden’s endless gaffes almost always covered up, or rationalized, by the traditional media?

164

Noblecascade 10.28.08 at 11:25 am

On the poll, it was hard for me to vote for one of the issues, I think they all need to be worked on. I would have voted “all of the above” if it had been an option.

Good Morning Pumas!

Okay, why should any of us watch infomecial of NObama? Even if you mute your TV while watching him, you’re still counted on TV ratings. The best you can do is NOT to watch it, don’t be an enabler. The last time I watched NObama on TV was during last debate; I despise the man, he’s a loathesome creature, a wolf in sheep’s clothing. NObama remind me so much of the dictator/tyrant who snapped the lives of my friends, 15 of them; like NObama he also promised change. He gave us change alright, he turned our small paradise into pure hell, YEARS OF LIVING HELL!

For so many months, even before the primary ended, I’ve been warning people. Now, it is up to the American people to save their own country; I’ve done my part, I’ve got nothing more to give.

Hey Pumas …

Regarding PA … I heard an interesting story that struck me as revealing .. it was on this weekends This American Life – it was looking at the ground game in PA – and interestingly they were following Democrats for McCain – its worth a listen – the dems for McCain part in during the first 7 minutes and the last 6 minutes.

Here is the Link …

Enjoy .. stay hopeful

I don’t understand why people don’t get behind the idea of demanding a suspension of the election until all voter fraud issues have been resolved. Becuaes, until it is, every vote cast is a waste of time. Like mine for McCain.
Last night, someone even suggested waiting until AFTER the election when the Republicans challenge the vote.
Someone else expressed fear of retribution to members of PUMA and others who dared to challenge BO.
I think I’ve about had it with all this and maybe it’s time to accept the invitation to join another, more revolutionary group that is preparing to defend traditional American values.
If people cow down in fear of this wacko, then america is already lost.

I mentioned the retribution feel free to mention my name when bringing up anyhting I say. However I did not say we should stop or slack off. Just we needed to have a fall back just in case.
Not to mention I support the idea of trying to get the election halted because of voter fraud. Even if we can’t stop the election we can the fraud issue out to the public and that will be a good thing.

#151 Fox just said that Biden said that Obama was going to tax small business that make $100,000 now instead of #250,000.

This is the only reference I could find on it … individuals making $100,000 a year will get a 12% increase.

Businesses making $250,000 will also get hit.

Think the media is starting to get nervous?
Politico has several posts about media bias today.

This from CNN:

That Obama and Democrats haven’t done more to denounce ACORN’s acts as fervently as they have “voter intimidation and suppression” complaints against Republicans is beyond puzzling. It smacks of a double standard.

Voter fraud is just as egregious as suppression, as it is an assault that undermines the integrity of our voting system. Obama should be held to a higher standard.

He is running for the highest office in our country — and not only has he performed legal work for this group, but his campaign paid an ACORN affiliate more than $800,000 for “get-out-the-vote-efforts,” and has received the endorsement of ACORN’s political action committee.

You are welcome to post them if you like. They are interested in an interview. I said that I would interview but told them that they should also talk to you and Will Bower. It is up to you if you want to follow up on that. This is a major newspaper in Texas and Dallas is a main hub for Obama supporters.

snowtiger007 Yes, I know you did, Snow. I think the fall back is a good idea, too although I don’t have any ideas. I guess I’m one of those who believes the best defense is an awesome offense.
I think the fraud issue is pretty well out there, from what I hear from people who are not PUMA’s. Many now have heard and read about ACORN and are upset. I have already sent letter requesting the suspension of the elections, even to President Bush. But I am just one voice.
I just don’t understand why so many people act as if the election is going to happen and we’ll just wait til after to deal with it. Kinda like seeing a head-on collision coming and deciding to deal with it after instead of moving out of the way, ya know what I mean, jelly bean?

I admire and respect Riverdaughter.

What I don’t get is how she can write a piece about sexism and misogyny, a great piece by the way, yet allow one of the boys on her blog to upload a piece attacking one of his three or four ex-wives, accompanied by a photo of a witch (Wiccan) on a broomstick, smashed into a tree.

Of all the comments I read in response to his piece, only one that was posted by a male, or an androgynous name, called it out as misogynist. The rest of the commenters seemed to be greatly entertained by the image, and of course the comments devolved into sexualizing the broom stick.

This seems to undermine the intent and sincerity of anything written against sexism/misogyny, and hosting it undermines our fight against sexism/misogyny.
Had to get that off my chest. Thanks.

I feel you.
The idea that waiting until after the election to challenge these frauds just wont work. If by some ungodly turn of events they win, you can’t seriously expect them to investigate their own victory.
Plus as I said already just by highlighting the fraud we score points. The more fraud we can help expose the better off the country will be.
We can fight on more than one front. Even those who don’t see the action as bearing any fruit can write a letter.
Hell. I never thought the BC issue would go anywhere but blogged on it myself.

You said, “fraudulent registrations” in the system. Again, registration fraud is not the same thing as VOTER fraud. I agree that that registration fraud needs attention, etc. but I still disagree with the idea of stopping the election. This election will go forward on Nov. 4 so why put time and energy into something that is a waste of our efforts. We only have 7 days, so IMO chasing Mountainsong’s idea is a distration from our goal of NObama.

Here is the response I got from the Dallas newspaper to my response to her article that says that Pumas are no longer roaring:

Hi, Ms. xxxx –

I really appreciate your note and I absolutely, 100 percent, am still watching for you guys in the future. I haven’t seen the headline, but nowhere in the article did I say you had lost it – I said it appeared to be softening. Now, obviously, I couldn’t talk to every Texas PUMA and frankly it’s not that easy to find you guys anymore.

I spent most of the article talking about how you guys are still doing things. But my main point was that you’re no longer solidly focused on one agenda, but doing your own things. That’s a quote from one of your own. Thing is, I was at both conventions and have been watching for PUMA and haven’t seen nearly the action and disruption (at least publicly) that I was told to watch for. Not to mention the fact that when PUMA began, the goal I was told was to elect McCain and take away Clinton support from Obama. The numbers aren’t bearing that out, but I didn’t go so far as to say you’d failed on that front either. The election is not over yet.

I do appreciate the information and promise to do a follow up on PUMAs after the election. If it’s all right with you, I would like to keep your information for an interview after it’s over.

Thank you for the note and, again, I will be watching for you guys. No question about it.

The intent of registration fraud is eventually , voter fraud.
Like buying an illegal weapon before you shoot someone.
If you don’t think it will bear fruit I won’t argue with you.
I do. Either it will help or be a neutral action.
Like I said, throw the kitchen sink at them.

I spent a good portion of yesterday posting links I found here over at Huffy- not sure I will get any converts there but I am figuring we need to post where the ‘Bots are- I have seen a few posts here saying they are hearing of last minute Obot defections- so I am not going to spend our last week preaching to the choir-
Let’s put on our shit kicking boots and go muck it up at some of the darker sides (for my own mental health I did not check back in to see what was said in response to my posts- I used the Palin effigy and the ‘01 audio of Baracky)
Not sure what I will post today but will find something and head over to the swamp land

I have a lot of checking back to do now.

The reason that they don’t want the justice dept to investigate acorn/voter fraud is that Oblahah will not investigate if he wins. It is a no brainer. They will be his posse, his foot slodiers. Well I have news for him, we will be here in 2008, 9 10, 11, and 12 and we will kick their asses!

jenniforhillary EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! I’m not gonna do either for any man.

mick MY point was that VOTER fraud has already been proven in Ohio.
Yesterday evening, on FOX, it was reported. They said that a “2nd period of grace” (Apparently there has already been one grace period)had begun for voters who have been “red-flagged” They can come forward and RESCIND their vote or be prosecuted. But those who were NOT red-flagged will be allowed to stand. So, I’m like “WTF!!!”

Snowtiger007 I agree with you.
Registration fraud is the same as voter fraud, because Acorn first registered illegal people to vote not just to register them.
And just because they found some of these registration and eleminated them, does not mean thousands were not found and utilized.
No one has any idea how many people, who have already voted, were not voting twice or even three times under different names….

Who would have thought, as the whole world watches, there could ever be corruption and fraud in an American election. and right before our eyes, in the persona of ACORN?
The whole symstem has been contaminated by corruption and if it were not so sad, it would be laughable!

276

TD 10.28.08 at 12:38 pm

I don’t speak for all Republicans (or ones that used to be) but I do know for myself that I have been quietly..well, not too quietly been educating people on Obama.

I had one co-worker who had swallowed the kool-aid of ‘Hope and Change’. It’s taken me most of this year but she finally turned to me and admitted he was not what he had sold himself as.

I worked on my family – many who were not going to vote or were going to vote for a third party as they were so disgusted with the Republicans. They now understand that disgusted or not, if you don’t vote for McCain you are voting for Obama. They also understand what they will get should Obama get in office.

I’ve worked with friends and they understand what is at stake and they have worked on their family.

The media does not hear my voice but my voice is being heard by those around me. I have no sign in my house or on my car but I voted early and I voted McCain/Palin. I have never been contacted by the media but I have convinced others to vote this election.

I am one of the ’silent’ masses. I am one that will be called ‘racist’should Obama lose. I am one who was excited about Obama running…I was one who was excited about Hillary running. I was one who was dismayed at the treatment of a woman by the media first by toward Hillary then to Palin. I am one who the more she learned about Obama the more disgusted I became and the more frustrated that I had to dig up the information.

Hi Shane

There are still two other things you left out in your URL link that made it unworkable. Below I pasted the link that works (and as it should be) and just underneath it is the one you put (that doesn’t’ work). Note that after the http there should be a colon : and after the 10/27 there should be a forward slash / and NO space. Any space in a link will make it not work.

So note the difference below between the one that works (on top) and the one that doesn’t work which you typed (underneath it).

http//pumapac.org/2008/10/27 surprise/#comment-208486

….
I assume you’re typing URL links. To ensure I don’t make mistakes, what I do is copy it (like from a post) by dragging the mouse across it (slecting it) and then hitting Ctrl + C (to copy). Then I can paste it wherever I want.

But whatever you do, make sure you correct those things I pointed out in the link… and then it should work (sorry that before I didn’t catch these two other mistakes you made… I thought it was just the symbol I pointed out).

You’ll get it right!

To all your friends and family that you think are going to watch Obamas ad, think of a way to engage them. Buy dinner, take a drive, have sex, what ever it takes..
Just make it seem innocent, obviously not let them know what you’re up to.

A thank you letter from Obmama

My fellow Americans:

As your future President I want to thank my supporters, for your mindless support of me, despite my complete lack of any legislative achievement, my pastor’s relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi, or my blatantly leftist voting record while I present myself as some sort of bi-partisan agent of change.

I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush’s youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political posing.

I would also like to thank the Kennedy’s for coming out in support of me. There’s a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Lu ther King, Jr. and Teddy killed a female employee with whom he was having an extra marital affair and who was pregnant with his child. And I’m not going anywhere near the cousins, both literally and figuratively. And I’d like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.

Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement, but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some white folk to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt. I say things that sound meaningful, but don’t really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them.

Americans are tired of thinking. It’s time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart. So when you go to vote, remember don’t think, just do. And do it for me.

Thank You,
Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

Texassherry–I read the response you received from Karen at the Dallas newspaper regarding her article on Pumas. (I assume you mean DMN?) i wonder if this “redistribution of wealth” isn’t really a redistribution of wealth from the bottom to the top. obie is closely aligned to milton friedman (whose economics destroyed chile) through his economic advisors and that is very very bad. this whole “laizzire faire”, hands off thing is just that, no government programs, no wage protections, no regulations of any kind and businesses are free to conduct business as thet see fit.

i’m sorry, i do not know how to add a link so i can only cut and paste but you can also check out naomi kleins’ book “the shock doctrine”.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – A federal judge in Ohio has ruled that counties must allow homeless voters to list park benches and other locations that aren’t buildings as their addresses.

U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus also ruled that provisional ballots can’t be invalidated because of poll worker errors.

Monday’s ruling resolved the final two pieces of a settlement between the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless and Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner.

The coalition agreed to drop a constitutional challenge to Ohio’s voter identification law until after the Nov. 4 election. In return, Brunner and the coalition agreed on procedures to verify provisional ballots across all Ohio counties.

The coalition was concerned that unequal treatment of provisional ballots would disenfranchise some voters.
