Hey Tree!!! Happy Birthday!!! I know all about being a Cancer myself. My 60th birthday was July 9th.. and I had a couple of Cancer babies (now grownup women) on July 5th.. We cancers have to stick together:) Emotional yes.. but loyal friends to the end, right?, right:)

I hope you check out those different sites given to you by so many Pumas, they are wonderful aren’t they, about getting help with your prescriptions. If you need any help, ever, in finding out 800 numbers for pharmaceutical companies, etc., please let me know!!! And ask, ask, ask your doctor or doctors to help you get free samples if they have any. A lot of offices will give you samples, if availalbe, or change your meds to stuff they do have on hand.

Anyway, just another suggestion. HOpe you have a really wonderful birthday:)

Anyone else find that letter from Don Fowler to be a bit aggresive? I find it hilarious because it seems like he’s so desperate to get us back that he’s actually starting to demand we listen.

What he doesn’t seem to realize is we were supporting the better candidate. Once you support a Clinton there is NO way you can support anyone else for the same position (at the same time) no one else will stack up.

289 Go_OHio_Lady -I’m in Columbus…..and there are some regional meetings popping up here. Born in Cleveland though but have been here for years. I think Hillary’s birthday is October 25th and she is a Libra. and you are right -whoever said Libras are for fairness too.
I “blew” the woman out of the water by saying that I believed in “Principles before Personality” and that Bo’s personality (before the arrogance emerged) was what hypnotized people – but Hill was all principle, knowledge, wisdom and experience…..And, by the way, she has a great personality too – but some people find it hard to warm up to her and that has dogged her in the past. Bo,on the other hand, is artificial personality… the kind of charisma that wears off the minute a telepromptor disappears…sweetie!

Matt… I agree. There’s no substance to BO’s trip either. But I find it interesting that FOX has been reporting on this story throughout the day about this reporter that was invited to witness an interrogation of criminals by the Taliban. Apparently when the reporter went along — he witnessed the Taliban abducting two young women (of course they had that clothing that covers them from head to toe and I can’t remember the term for this form of dress) — so you can’t even put a face to these women. The Taliban drive to a remote area and pull the women out of their vehicle and throw them out on the ground in preparation to execute them after giving a speech that claimed they were guilty of being prostitutes. The reporter pleaded with them to abort the plans for execution. The Taliban refused. The reporter asked if he could film it. The Taliban refused but it was too late… the reporter already had his camera rolling unbeknownst to the Taliban. They shot these women while they screamed for their lives. The reporter posted the images on the Internet… and was later held and questioned by authorities on his connection to the Taliban. He explained he had no connection to the Taliban… just reporting on what he can. They finally released the reporter but he had to promise to remain available for further questioning. I fear for the reporter’s life now. But I find it curious that Obama is oblivious to any of these tragedies going on around him during his visit there.

Meanwhile, the only thing coming out of the Obama camp during his visit… he’s been busy shooting hoops on a basketball court with the troops for the cameras of his own personal press corp.

Yes, group meditations can be powerful, but they are as effective as we are, in that, they work if we are in tune to God’s Plan… And well, to tell you the truth, with regard to this election cycle, I am not so sure what that is. What I do know… or perhaps what I *FEEL* is that Hillary unknowingly has created a movement or her own that will not soon be forgot.

And it’s not just for women or on Universal Healthcare … it’s a movement for the Middle Class of America. So whether she gets the nomination or not—she still WINS!

I realize I am off topic, but….I am wondering if anyone who listened to NQR tonight picked up on the comments about this election being version 3.0 of “how to steal an election” (2000 being v1.o and 2004 being v2.0). I have to tell you that I have felt from the beginning that Obama is where he is because of the Republican machine. Clearly they did not want to run against HRC this year. Nothing else explains it very well to me. Especially the MSM’s role, etc. The Repubs WANTED Obama. And now they WANT the disenchanted HRC voters. This is how they will win. I also think there must be some collusion within the Democratic ranks as well. In any case, I am so morally outraged by all of this. If our votes are meaningless, than this democracy is meaningless, and our “freedom” is just a hoax.

I know this is probably too heavy for a Saturday night…I am feeling a bit depressed watching this spectacle . I reminds me of Louis IV and the “illusion of power” his regime created. Just smoke and mirrors.

On healthcare … I prefer Hillary because she wants to insure everyone.

Obama is wrong when he says that everyone will buy insurance if he makes it “affordable.” Some people have no money to spare, and in this lousy economy, that’s getting to be a greater number of folks.

However, there are many more people who won’t buy insurance because they’d prefer to spend that money on toys and other things that bring them instant gratification. By refusing to make health insurance mandatory, Obama would make it “mandatory” that the rest of us pay for the freeloaders in our society. I don’t mind helping people who truly need help. I do mind paying for the freeloaders.

On qualifications and experience … I prefer Hillary not only because of everything she has done so far but also because she is able to articulate the results she has created for Americans.

Obama can’t articulate anything he has done for the country. He might talk about bills he sponsored. BFD. Some of those bills never became a reality. Others didn’t help anyone.

Hillary was right when she said this is like a job interview. When you “apply” to be President, you must be able to articulate how people have benefitted from your past services.

Once on an episode of CNN’s American Morning, when both candidates were asked about accomplishments that qualified them to be President, Hillary kept going until the moderator told her she was out of time. Obama, by comparison, used his alloted time to trash talk Hillary. How does trash talking Hillary qualify him to be President?

Or Obama might say that he was a community organizer in Chicago. That’s a title, not an accomplishment. It would be like Hillary saying that she’s qualified because she was First Lady for eight years. No. She’s qualified because of what she did during that time (and throughout her life).

On character and judgment … I may not agree with everything Hillary does. However, Obama’s 20-year association with Reverend Wright is a deal breaker. I don’t believe that Obama could spend 20 years in that church without embracing the hateful, poisonous attitudes of Reverend Wright. (It’s human nature to embrace the attitudes of those around you when you want so desperately to belong, to fit in, and to be accepted.) Those same hateful, poisonous attitudes dominate the blog posts from Obama supporters. When I see the hatred and violence that Obama inspires in his followers, I can only conclude that an Obama presidency would be dangerous for our nation and the world.

Beyond that, I’m turned off by Obama’s increasingly dismissive attitude. Refusing to do additional debates with Hillary when voters still wanted to hear debates was dismissive of Hillary and voters everywhere. Refusing to insist that Florida and Michigan delegates be seated in full was dismissive, not only to voters in those two states, but to voters everywhere. Refusing to accept John McCain’s invitation for weekly town hall meetings is dismissive. Voters want to hear those debates, and we’re entitled to them.

What this says to me is that a President Obama will be dismissive of everyone and everything that doesn’t serve his immediate interests. That’s unacceptable. We’ve had that from President Bush for the last eight years. I don’t want it anymore.

Finally, the talking point I keep emphasizing any chance I get is Obama’s refusal to do the weekly town hall meetings that McCain keeps asking for. How many times during the primary season did Obama say, “I welcome that debate with John McCain”? So why does he now do everything possible to avoid the weekly town hall meetings that McCain keeps asking for?

Here’s what Obama’s actions say to me:

• Obama is not a man of his word.

• Obama does not respect voters who very much want to hear both candidates discuss the issues. Nor does he respect leaders in other countries who also want to hear both candidates discuss the issues.

• Obama not a man who can or will reach across the aisle as he has repeatedly promised to do. If he intended to reach across the aisle, he’d be doing it now every chance he could.

• Obama is afraid that McCain will expose the lack of substance behind his empty rhetoric.

• Obama isn’t confident enough about the issues to speak without a teleprompter or the scripted words of his speechwriters.

• Obama doesn’t believe in transparency in government. That catch phrase is as phony as he is.

• If Obama were to become President, he would repeatedly shy away form difficult decisions and uncomfortable topics. So, too, would he avoid talking with other world leaders unless they bow to his every whim.

I don’t have to look at his voting record, his accomplishments (assuming there were any), statements from his supporters, etc. to know what kind of President he would be. I don’t have to look any further than the disparity between his words and his actions … words and actions I can see and hear for myself.

You know what? I watch my hubby and his motorcycle buddies and I find out more about politics and the working person than I ever could watching the tube.

The astonishing thing about this is that they all support Hillary. They don’t have specific instances of this or that issue, but they do know the issues in general. Besides, they like her hubby. They like that she is a strong woman. They look at Obama as a phony. One called him a puff of smoke. They don’t like the media mantra, and turn it off for real entertainment. Mostly, they don’t like the constant tv ads that Obama runs. They understand that he is very full of himself. These are real working men with real lives. I try hard to always hear, in depth, what they are thinking.

The nation and the true democrats have already rejected the teacher’s pet Obama. It makes me think of the kid that the teacher likes losing the election for president of the class. The students despise him or her, and the teacher cannot understand why. He/she has all the charms etc, that the teacher likes, but he has no ability to lead the students. The working person cannot be led by Obama. He isn’t one of us.

On Primary Day, here in our little town in Indiana, I had to drop some things off at our local democratic headquarters. There was a rep from Obama’s campaign sitting there ‘holding court’ until I came in. All of the local women knew me instantly and began their hellos. He was talking about going on to Aplachia….KY it seems, following here.

I was born in Upper East TN to parents who lived right across the line in KY. I grew up and went to college at Cumberland College (Now University of the Cumberlands) in Williamsburg, my home town. We lived for over 7 years in Harlan County, KY. As a native, I was interested in what he had to say.

Boy was this guy condescending! As I chatted with him, I could tell that he was an insult waiting to happen. When he asked me for pointers about how to talk to the ‘hill folks’ down there, I told him just to be himself, that he would do fine LOL…………. I didn’t hear of any Obamites being run out of KY on a rail…….so I guess he must have survived………..but this experience told me volumes about the entire campaign.

Hi, don’t think I’ve met you. If you would google G. Soros, you will find that he is Bo’s $$ (DNC’s). McCain and Hillary would have had a great and fair campaign! Repubs didn’t take the Delegates away either – at least I don’t think so. I’m in Texas and we are one of the states that submitted unfair Voting procedures during the Caucus.

G. Soros was also blamed (not proven) for “breaking England’s Banking system.” It’s hard to prove since he’s a billionaire and owns stock in EVERY commodity known possible. But isn’t it strange that “our” banks are now having similar problems?

I suppose I am. This little midwestern town is made up of very conservative farmers and business people. I am a real estate appraiser, home schooled my kids, breed and show Boxers, dabble in politics, and do pastel portraits of dogs and people for fun. Any one of these would be a uniqe trait for a woman living here, I suppose, especially about 20 years ago when he made the statement.

Matt… where do you live? I only ask cause I was wondering if you’re in a large Jewish population area? Personally, I grew up in a suburb of Baltimore that was 99% Jewish. It was soooo funny whenever a Jewish holiday would roll around. Cause the teachers at the school would take a head count… by asking “How many will be absent for Rosh Hashana tomorrow?” Almost the entire class would raise their hands. I always felt sorry for the 2 non-Jewish students who would still have to come to school (even though the teachers didn’t teach anything when most of the school was absent like that). So I always got off on the Christian and Jewish holidays… since the schools were officially closed on the former… and no one was there on the latter.

Many ask me what is my nationality. I never know if saying “Jewish” is actually a nationality… but in characteristic with being Jewish… I typically respond by answering a question with a question… so I say instead, “What nationality do you think I am?” I always find it interesting that they think I’m Greek or Italian.
