What Is This Blog?

Puma PAC is a political action committee organized in June 2008. This is our official website and blog. You may know that there is another, more defiant meaning for the acronym P.U.M.A. and that many of us are motivated by a deep disgust with and distrust of the DNC leadership.

Join us! Simply send an email to join@pumapac.org with the word “join” in the subject line. We really are either all in this together, or all outside alone.

There will be no unity in the Democratic party until the voices of the 18 million voters who support Hillary Clinton are heard and heeded. Until the voices of Pumas are once again listened to by the leadership of the Democratic party, we will be guided by that defiance. We will treat insult with uprightness and will meet disdain with disdain. We will not be bullied, brainwashed, or bossed into falling in line.

It is the goal of this blog to be an oasis in the hostile wilderness of disinformation, discrimination, and dishonesty that the mainstream media, including mainstream blogs and other new media outlets, have become.

We are part of a burgeoning group of bloggers, writers, and citizens who are joining together to fight back against the corrupt leadership of the DNC, their “chosen” candidate, and the mainstream media that enables them. Please visit the sites on the blogroll. We really are either all in this together, or all outside alone. Contribute your comments, insights, and advice. Feel free to lurk, but feel freer to participate.

We strive to provide and foster sane political analysis and honest debate. We aim to be a forum, a bulletin board, a sounding board, and a voice for the 18 million Democrats who have been told our votes and our voices don’t matter and that we are unnecessary and unwelcome.

We will help rescue and revive the crucial Media Critique which was abandoned by so many mainstream blogs and so-called “progressive” writers when they decided to jump on the bandwagon of an untested and unready candidate and became mere propagandists for the right-wing noise machine.

We will fight the misogyny, the elitism, and the divisiveness — engendered by an unprincipled candidate and his campaign and amplified by their willing enablers in the media — that threatens to tear the Democratic party apart.

This is the Puma blog. People United Means Action.

Welcome.

UPDATE, 6/6/08 at 12:38am: Welcome to all the new members and commenters. The response in the past two days has been phenomenal. If you have sent an email to join the Puma PAC today, don’t worry if you haven’t received a confirmation email reply yet. You are officially joined up — sending the email is all you need to do. We will be sending confirmations and email updates as soon as possible. Feel free to email or comment in threads with questions. I will reply.

Because of the troll infestation that swarms when I turn off moderation (geez, I wonder why the trolls are so desperate?), I am going to hold all comments for the next few hours so I can attend to some other matters (I mean get some sleep). If your comment doesn’t appear it has not been deleted or lost — it’s just being held. I’ll release them first thing in the morning.

Please visit the site often for updates and action alerts. Contribute if you can. Puma PAC is not simply a blog, it’s also a political action committee. The blog is our village square. Let’s get rolling!

I am very happy you set up this blog site for us Hillary supporters. The media don’t even want to act as if we exist! I joined John McCain site this morning and will do everything in my power to make sure Nobama never enters my white house. I cannot in good concience vote for a person who has no experience, associates with racists for twenty years, terrorist, and crooks. The Dem party has selected their candidate and ignored the will of the people who elected Hillary Clinton. They will pay in November! John McCain 08 if Hillary is not at the top of that ticket. I will not support her as VP it is a slap in the face, licking up his crumbs and offensive. It would not change the fact that Obama doesn’t have any experience to run this country. He would keep her as far away from the white house as possible.

Nice to be here – can’t wait to find my other bloggers from Hillary site – one comment that I have to make with my fellow bloggers from the other side of the world – I know we are all having a big discussion on HRC being VP – and most say no – but as old as I am and probably will not be around another 4 years – I say YES – reason – the no name one will become President = he will be useless with his just words – and be impeached within 6 months – guess who becomes the President OUR HILLARY.

Go HIllary

Hi everybody!! I am becoming an Independent tomorrow!
I signed up on McCain’s site to blog.
I am an American citizen from France. I went to Indiana and canvassed with some of you, I’m sure.

Are you here, Margie, Dee, Rosa and Tina?

So, anyway, I met Hillary in Newport Beach where I live and took a picture with the 44th or 45th President of the United States.
She is such a great lady and down to earth. We could tell how grateful she is to her supporters.

Just BRILLIANT, NICE, LOVING AND CARING. She is our PRESIDENT!!

I love this site!!

Looking forward to conversation.

I also look forward to organizing and speaking out against the Democratic Primary Process hope we can speak loud enough to see change so we never have to go through this again.

I am so glad i was told of this site. i am so upset with all the people saying we will behave and fall in lins soon. There is no pandering or promiseing he could give to make me vote for him. I am still hopeing Hillary will be nominated at convention if not its McCain. That will be 2 votes against Obama. One not from me and one to McCain.

NOBAMA!
Obama voted against the Bush tax cuts on capital gains and dividends, these are the very same tax cuts that spurred economic expansion. Also voted against repealing the death tax. He dismissed it as a “Paris Hilton tax break” that would give “billions of dollars to billionaire heirs and heiresses.” Try telling that to the owners of farms, ranches and small businesses who are forced to sell their legacies because of this tax.Don’t let the charm or the nice smile fool you.!
